You wanna know who handled dead sinners from different eras better than Hazbin Hotel?

Ghosts. (The US version lol)

Those in the back are all different people who died and ended up in an eternal purgatory of sorts; each of them having died in a different era.

You want to know WHY I say they handle the characters better than whatever Vivziepop is doing?

Because they KEEP ASPECTS FROM THEIR ERAS.

The woman in the blue dress (Hetty) was a robber baron who died in the 1800s.

The black woman (Alberta) was a jazz singer who was allegedly murdered from the 1920s.

The guy with an arrow in his neck (Pete) was a boy scout troop leader who died in 1985.

The fancily dressed man (Issac) was a captain in the army who died during the Revolutionary War.

The guy in the suit (Trevor) was a stockbroker who died during the late 1990s.

The woman in the glasses (Flower) was a hippie and a member of the counter-culture revolution who died in the 1960s.

The Native American (Sasappis/goes by Sas) was basically from a tribe who died in the 1500s.

And lastly, the viking (Thorfinn) was a guy who ended up dying in the early 1000s.

You can TELL which era each of these characters are from solely from how they are dressed along with how they speak, though given how long they have been stuck in purgatory in the same location the ones who died earlier LEARN about modern things from the ones who died more later than they did.

They all didn't just die and suddenly start cursing and talking about sex and drugs (an exception to Hetty because she has confirmed herself to use cocaine while Trevor talks about sex frequently and died due to a drug overdose. But he mainly talks about sex because he was a frat/playboy in life, so it makes sense he hadn't matured before his death.) along with suddenly knowing modern lingo from eras they didn't even live long enough to BE in.

This show only confirms that it's not that hard to have different characters from different eras in one room interacting as friends, AND that sex and such isn't needed all the time to make your show 'good'.

Wow, I never watched that show, but yeah! It sounds like they handle dead sinners MUCH better than Hazbin Hotel, I mean, is it really that difficult to just do some research? Viv seriously couldn't of like, searched some fashion trends or like slang from that time period? Seriously how hard would that be?

lucifer redesign but i practically changed his entire character (redesign notes under the cut)

things i kept :

• the ringmaster like outfit. i actually really enjoy the idea of the deadly sins looking like circus acts, i think it's a pretty neat concept

• the snake and apple motifs. i exaggerated them a bit more tho

• the purple eyeshadow. i think it brings a nice pop of colour to his design

• the crown on his top hat

things i changed :

• i detwinkified him. with the twink death ray

• his staff. its now a pitchfork/trident thingy with the stabby things coming out of the apple

• he's a lion now because they symbolize pride

• i made him look more demonic than angelic, giving him 3 sets of horns (the 3rd set is really small and on his forehead so its pretty hard to see)

• i gave him a lot more red. ik one of the problems with hazbin is that it has too much red, but since red is the pride rings assigned color according to the show so i decided to roll with that

• i put his wedding ring on one of his horn

• he has a lot more gold/gold accents to symbolize his royal status n shit

aaaaand yeah thats basically it for him. i'll be posting Lilith and Charlie's redesigns soon :]

hazbin hotel trivago redesigns

Guess who made redesigns again? Me. I made these redesigns for funsies, and revamped Niffty's and Husk's redesigns cuz I didn't like my old ones.

Redesign and some rewrite notes under cut.

Wanted to make Mimzy look more like an actual chicken, gave her black and white colors to fit with her time period (same goes for my redesign of Alastor), the bug hole on her face is where she got killed. Dont know what to change about her personality and give her crimes she commited when she was still alive tho.

Rosie is now a skeleton and has blue colors instead of red cuz not everything has to be red vivziepop :]

Vox and Velvet looking more sci-fi...ish to make them indicate that they follow modern era. Vox's personality is kept the same cuz I didn't mind his character in the show at all, I liked it, except he's not in a relationship with Val anymore (both velvet and vox hate him, but only tolerate him cuz they all work together). Velvets personality will probably be a mixture of her pilot personality and her show personality, who knows lol. Vox is a greedy capitalist and cyberbully that did wire fraud as well, and Velvet is an identity thief, vandalist and a burglar.

Tom trench, nothing changed about him that much but gave him a new body type because I hate seeing every single character in the show being twigs, and he was an arsonist and war criminal before he died. Katie killjoy's design is more of a praying mantis look, she just seduces and uses the people around her for her own gain, she was like this before her death and she still is now.

Niffty is wearing the outift to indicate her japanese culture (she does have a work outfit btw, this is just her casual wear), the sewing pins on her hair to indicate her liking sewing, and she's 14-15 years old now (idk about you but it makes sense to me) because she acts like a child (in the most insufferable way may i add) even though she's like 22 years old.

And considering Niffty dies in the year 1950, her backstory would probably be due to the fact that she was born during the WW2, she grew up in a prison camp and doesn't really know her parents that well, became a victim of bullying and racism due to her being Japanese, she ended up killing people that bullied her. She also unintentionally gained stockholm syndrome and sadistic-masochistic tendencies and became a hybristophile in the process because of it, and ended becoming a killer and murdered the ones that bullied her. (This is a draft concept, probably will change)

Husk, I made him fat cuz him being a twig was a legit crime, scruffier hair, and he stinks. He was a russian war veteran, casino player and a bar tender before his death (he's still a bartender tho).
