So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

My thoughts about Hetty’s storyline in 3x8, holes are bad. I wrote this in the ghosts 18+ discord server, but I thought it would fit here. Spoilers for that episode and a content warning for suicide

That poor, tragic woman. Her demise fits and works so well for her character. She spent her entire life surrounded by people who didn’t care about her and failed her repeatedly. There’s a poetic kind of sadness in the fact that what was supposed to be her saving grace — the telephone — was ultimately what destroyed her. The part when she unravels the cord to save Flower, I gasped and went “oh…oh, Hetty.” She used her greatest shame to save one of her dearest friends. She took that power back from a moment where she truly felt powerless and trapped. And when she talks to Sam and Isaac about it, oh, my heart. She spent her whole life being either feared or unloved and gets to share her deepest secret with people who care for her deeply, all without judgment. Isaac’s line “You were in a hole. Those are hard to get out of” had me feeling things. Hetty learning that there are people who love and support her and that everything Elias and Thomas did wasn’t her fault was such a big moment for her and I’m so proud of her character development. That was a long Hetty ramble, but I love her so much and this episode just strengthened that for me

Yet, another thought about the reveal.

I think Trevor did know or did suspect but didn't ask because he wanted her to say it in her own time.

Remember in TP, when Sam said she was curious but she didn't know the etiquette around ghosts' deaths. Trevor doesn't really look like he wants to talk about it. And in fact, he never talks about his death.

I've made this point before, but Trevor is the only younger ghosts that never brings up his death in any capacity. The ONLY time he ever talks about it is in TP or when someone brings up his body in the lake and usually he brushes it off.

That is a level of avoidance most of the other ghosts don't have, except Hetty and Sass. They're the only two that have avoided mentioning their deaths.

So, it would make sense for him to see the evidence but not ask and then to lie to the others about it becuase he understands that each ghost deals with their death differently and Hetty, like him and like Sass, might not want to talk about it.

Hetty's been telling everyone that she overdosed because she didn't want anyone to know how she really died

I'm glad the show gave her a serious storyline for her death rather than a humorous murder or even an accidental overdose. Watching her talk about why she did it gave her more depth and gave us more insight into her character.

I'm so happy Flower's back. It just wasn't the same without her.
