that was one of the most terrifying episodes of television conceivable and here i am smiling at my laptop like a girl who got a text from her crush. roman orchestrated the election of a neonazi for president, kendall condoned it and admitted he was only really unsure about it because he was threatened by rome's closeness with mencken not any genuine political beliefs, shiv has literally no allies left whatsoever and sibling relationships are entirely fucked, tom is so fired, twitter is demanding roman's head on a stick and insisting shiv is a leftist hero, and i am kicking my feet in the air like a schoolgirl

So one of those Danny gets spat into the DC universe things, but he’s shot out of a Lazarus Pit in Phantom form. The dirty ectoplasm fucked up his memories and all he knows for sure is that he used to guard a portal that, just like this one, was glowing a radioactive green. So when he explains that to Ra’s (because let’s be honest, the guy totally would talk to Danny one on one) Ra’s basically goes “You must have been sent to us to guard our Pits” and Danny, amnesiac that he is, goes “Probably” and goes along with it.

They train him to kill, but each time he does he ends up crying over the bodies he kills. His tears bring them back, but as a thrall. Rather than deal with Pit Madness they’re undyingly loyal to Danny and Danny alone. Since Ra’s can’t trust them to be loyal to him, though, at most they become guards for outside of the base.

One of these guards, despite their loyalty to Danny, sees that Danny isn’t so much happy as he is accepting. And so they go to the one person they know to have repeatedly stood up to the League of Assassins in the past, Batman, and ask for his help. Not to save themselves, but to save Danny and get his memories back.

i just simply don't understand what could possibly be the appeal for reading fanfic of a source material youre not familiar with. the ONLY benefit to fanfic fmpov is that my Best Friends from Media Property are there. if i didn't specifically want to spend more time with specific characters with the fiery passion of a thousand suns then i would just go read books. like i just can never wrap my head around it.

headcanon that Robin Tim used to have a spray bottle that he would use against Bruce when he’s been awake for too long but it’s actually just sleeping gas.

no matter how hard Bruce tries to avoid it Tim always managed to find a way to get him right in the face, which is probably a pretty big sign that he needs sleep if he was lacking so bad

Omg the fact that Bruce can never dodge it bc of sleep deprivation is awesome. My bet is that Tim does this to other batfam members but Bruce is the only one who knows that it’s sleeping gas, everyone else thought it was like, water to wake them up but just ended up making them fall asleep.

or or or! Nobody knows, but Bruce is the only one who’s seen Tim do it, and thinks it’s something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THEN WHAT IT IS. He like, thinks it’s poison or something

Renée Minkowski is extremely into the abstract concept of Crew Bonding in such a way that it impairs her ability to actually bond with the particular crew that she has.

She wants them to have Christmas dinner together and give each other Christmas gifts, but she's not made an effort to learn Eiffel's feelings about December 25th and to think about what he might like to do that day.

She wants them to each say what they are thankful for at Thanksgiving, but when she says she's "thankful to have such a great crew on this mission", it sounds extremely unconvincing, as if she's just saying what she thinks a Commander ought to say at a Thanksgiving dinner on a space station, rather than expressing any genuine sentiments or revealing anything personal about herself.

She wants them all to participate in the talent show "to boost morale... bond as a crew, and... have a great time doing it", but Hilbert and Eiffel's reactions make it clear that talent shows do the opposite of improving crew morale for them.

Christmas celebrations and thanksgiving dinners and talent shows are all things that could potentially have a positive impact on morale and bonding for some hypothetical space crews, but in the way Minkowski approaches them, none of these things are particularly helpful for the morale and bonding of the people who are actually in her crew. Minkowski puts real effort into group bonding activities for her crew, but they are always based on general ideas about crew bonding, rather than on thinking about the individuals around her and what she can do to connect with those people in particular.
