when I started this second comic, it was primarily to address these plot beats GameFreak left in their writing of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Epilogue that I found to be "immersion-breaking":

why didn't the protag tell anyone about Kieran? (my answer: they had to keep it a secret)

why did the protag travel from Kitakami to trigger the epilogue, then fly back to Paldea real quick before going back barely a week later? (I can't justify it for GameFreak lol so for me there are two protags and one of them was already in Kitakami, while the other got the call from Arven.)

I know in game this was done from a gameplay perspective, but it's fun to imagine an intricate story and reasoning for all this :] With this, my version of events can still play out in the games themselves without being too au-y. (It's even in-line with my previous pkmn art, which I'm semi-particular about.)

Of course, it was also to give my version of Florian and Juliana as well as Nemona some form of closure. I wasn't planning on healing them, but a kind comment from someone led me to this little brief passion project. Although the characters aren't mine, they seem to have taken hold of me anyway, driving me to finish telling their story.

Making this was what I call "wish-fulfillment" art. It has shippy elements, a bunch of specific exposition a nerd like me would care about, JP text for a character raised in fictional rural Japan that I'm aware not many would enjoy as I do? Or, idk. It's fanservice for me alone, and it was extremely fulfilling to draw, which is what matters. Believe it or not, it's been a while since I've been unapologetically able to enjoy drawing like this.

Basically, I blacked out and boom. These silly guys took over my life. I enjoyed it. I hope you guys do too.

okie i made an art but there is some context to it

so my sister was studying in the haunted theology building on her college campus because it was open and it had rooms to study in . and since it is a theology building lots of people who like catholicism go in there. so my sister finishes working on her paper or whatever and it's like 2 am and she sees a piece of paper in the hallway that says "what is your favorite saint?" with a bunch of names of catholic saints that people like that they put on there. so my sister (an atheist) makes up a fake saint name (st. chadwick the bold) and writes it on the paper.

however, since it was darkish and lateish she accidentally wrote "bold" in a way that it could be misinterpreted as "bald"

now the next day she's having a movie night with friends and tells them about it and one of them draws a very reverent, very bald monk-saint on a whiteboard . and then they make a prayer to st. chadwick the b[o/a]ld

and then when she told me about it this weekend i thought i could use it as a chance for calligraphy / gothic graphic design practice so i made this

#ok some notes abt its imperfections:#yeag i made the capital s in Saint too weird (i didn't like it at first then tried to fix it then failed)#and it's kinda blank (i wasn't sure what else to put)#and it's kinda smudged #and i didn't erase the drafting lines because i thought it would further smudge the ink because i didn't want to wait for it to dry #because my sister had to leave soon and get back to campus #and also the B at the beginning of the “prayer” is very weirdly colored and designed i should have chosen a better color and design #calligraphy #art #saints #oh also #i was writing the dies irae with my calligraphy pen and i accidentally imprinted some letters into my finger with ink #so if you see some really light smudged letters in between the lines that is because i put my finger there and accidntally stamped those #letters into the paper #but yea it's really bad i just wanted to share it with somebody

he comes home from a run one day and he’s in a black compression shirt that you urged him to buy and god are you glad you did. your eyes lock onto his biceps, of course, which almost look like they’re bulging out of the sleeves.

“toshi, that shirt looks so good on you,” you tell him. you can almost see the outline of his six pack, and the way his pectorals stretch out the shirt a little.

“well, you did suggest i buy it, love, so i would hope so,” he replies, smiling softly as you stride towards him.

“like i literally just wanna…”

he doesn’t expect the way you take his arm, and bring his bicep to your mouth, and sink your teeth into it. you don’t do it hard or anything, just enough until you’re satisfied.

he’s puzzled, and he doesn’t hide that in his facial expression whatsoever. however he doesn’t have the heart to question you out loud. perhaps, he thinks, it’s equivalent to you kissing him. then again, why not just kiss him?

when you’ve had your fill, you blink up at him with an face he wants to keep in his mind forever.

“sorry, your arms look so biteable,” you explain.

“did you have fun?” he asks.

“i did, thank you,” you tell him, throwing your arms around his shoulders and pressing your lips to his.

it happens again when he gets out of the shower one evening. he walks into the living room where you’re watching some drama series, and he’s in sweats and nothing else. the tips of his hair are wet. he settles onto the couch next to you and in the corner of your eye, you see his pecs. plump. squishy.

“these look bigger,” you tell him, reaching over to squeeze one of them in your hand. “is that why you’ve been in the gym so much?”

“i’ve been going a normal amount i think,” he replies, unfazed by your groping.

“hmm,” you say, like you’re genuinely musing, and then with that you lean in to take his pec in your mouth.

this time wakatoshi chuckles with surprise, a short, deep rumble of laughter at the sensation of you nibbling at his skin.

“is this your… thing now?” he asks.

you sit back, smiling, a cat that got the cream. “mhm.”

after that he’s never safe from you ever again. his forearms, cheeks, neck, collarbones, thighs are all chewed on. he doesn’t complain though. he would never.

wakatoshi has struggled with intimacy and affection his entire life—it wasn’t something he came face to face with often. you, however, are showing him everything he’s missed out on. so now, every time you bite him, his heart flutters and he feels grateful.
