Free Dr. Ratio is still available until the end of 2.1, right? And there was an in-universe explanation for why they were giving him away for free (him interrupting Owlbert's show and his letter to us, about him spreading knowledge and education).
So it's not a theory or a prediction, just a little idea, but what if there will be an in-universe explanation for why he's not available to claim for free anymore? Like, I hope he doesn't die in 2.2 or something. Maybe, considering that it coincides with the end of Aventurine's banner, what if they elope together, or he'll be busy trying to retrieve Aven from that black hole.

This might seem like an "old man yells at cloud" situation, but it's just wild growing up and being told how dangerous distracted driving is - how, at highway speeds, you can traverse the length of a football field (100 yards, 91 meters) in a matter of seconds - how one split second sending a text while driving could result in a potential fatal crash, and then getting on the road as a driver and being surrounded by billboards. Their entire purpose is to catch one's attention, so they're lining major roads, which tend to be highways. How is it that you're told how important it is to never be distracted while driving, but still being advertised to?
At best, this type of advertising is an eyesore to pedestrians and motorists and a general waste of electricity to light it, and at worst, it is an active danger considering they are there to advertise and therefore, must catch people's attention.
I'm not even against advertising in theory, but this particular mode bothers me so much and I hate how pervasive it is - especially in large cities or highways.

Fëanorian Week 2023, Day 7: Fëanor and Nerdanel
Tumblr media
You can see I gave up on the barely-there draping and went for full clothes in this one, mostly because Nerdanel would require more of it to get past Tumblr guidelines and I didn’t want to deal with all that.
And yes, I know the pose is almost identical to that Gwindor-and-Finduilas drawing I did that one time.  I’m not very creative when it comes to romantic stuff in drawings so we just have to take what we can get.
So...yeah, that’s the end of Fëanorian Week.  No more updates and excuses and explanations!  Huzzah!  I shall now disappear again for an undetermined length of time.

weaponized incompetence: purposefully doing a task as badly as possible so you won't be asked to do that task again, i.e. washing new jeans with white clothes knowing fully well it will ruin the white clothes because you're sick of being asked to do the laundry
NOT weaponized incompetence: asking for help and/or clarification with doing a task, i.e. asking which clothes need to be washed separately and what settings different clothes need to be washed on

Headcanon of our favorite playboy Brucie Wayne :
Bruce took the mantle directly after his world trip when he was ~20, and Selina was one of his first encounter. She has seen every Brucie's antics live for the last 10-15 years.
But, when you get married to a billionaire, he can buy you everything so what wedding present could be more than special, something that mean something deep for them both ?
My girl calls every female who's not a batkid and somehow her bachelorette party and Bruce's bachelor party merged in the Iceberg Lounge where a wild Brucie like we didn't see him since he's a dad ride this polebar ! Eyes candy for those ladies and gentlemen !

so maybe this is a really stupid question, but what exactly is homestuck? i've no idea and i have asked multiple people and no one has given me an answer yet, but i hope you do answer.
Alright, I'll try to give the most comprehensive answer I can.
Homestuck is a semi-interactive webcomic that started back in 2009, written by Andrew Hussie. Completed in 2016, the webcomic as a whole sits at 8,123 pages (800k words). The format of the webcomic includes not only illustrated panels on each page, but hours of fully animated videos, multiple playable flash-games, a TON of amazing music (possibly composed by some familiar faces!), and interactive mechanics used within the browser itself to deliver some of the more "meta" elements of its plot.
Now, to give the most brief summary, the story of Homestuck is about a group of kids (John Egbert, Rose Lalonde, Jade Harley, and Dave Strider) who become friends over the internet and decide to play a game called SBURB, a reality-altering video game that brings about the end of the world. If SBURB is beaten, it would allow the players to become the creator/gods of a new world.
Along the way, the kids will interact with a slew of other characters, including a species of aliens called trolls. There's time travel, extensive and convoluted game mechanics, meta-narratives, alternate timelines, and all sorts of stuff that will make your brain hurt. It's complex and insane and wonderful, mind-bending and incredibly genre-defying. There's so much I'd want to say but you just can't summarize the immensity of Homestuck in a post like this.
If you are at all interested in reading Homestuck, the best way to do it is to use the Unofficial Homestuck Collection. With the death of Flash, the original website is mostly broken. This collection is the BEST way to experience it.
If you decide to take the dive, I wish you luck o7.

Honestly, the craziest part of accessibility is that there aren't many abled people (and disabled people who aren't disabled in Every Way Possible) who wouldn't benefit from any of the accessibility options out there
ALT text has made it so much better to navigate image-based pages! I'm not visually-impared, but tumblr is terrible at loading images, and I'm not always connected to WiFi. People who add ALT text make it easy to satiate my curiosity when images don't load! This, coupled with actually learning how blind and visually-impared people navigate the online world, has inspired me to do my best to emulate the things I find helpful, even if the way it helps me is very different than theirs. Having a sense of scale in how it helps me versus how it actually makes the internet usable to the blind and visually-impared is something I do try to keep in mind.
Navigating a world with accessible options is primarily going to help the disabled, and it's imperative to keep this in mind. I do think, though, that illustrating just how much accessibility impacts even abled people's lives can help inspire people to think, "wow, I can't imagine a world without [accessibility option] and I don't need it, but it makes life so much easier." The more I interact with accessibility options I don't need, I still find it so helpful. I can't even imagine how amazing it is when you do need that accessibility and it's actually provided to you.
I don't think that abled people should only be in it for themselves. Again, accessibility should put disabled needs first and foremost. But I can't help but wonder how many people you can get to understand this by first saying how it impacts them, too.

Talking a little bit about 'boycotting Eurovision' under Keep Reading, feel free to scroll down if is not what you want to see.
The most used argument on the matter of banning Israel from Eurovision is the fact that Russia got banned from Eurovision, which is the worst argument anyone could bring.
Kindly reminder that Russia didn't get banned because of the war with Ukraine. Russia got banned because many countries has threatened to withdraw from the competition. Sadly, that's a big difference.
Yes, the countries has threatened to withdraw because they support Ukraine and see Russia as the party in the wrong. That was their reason. EBU's reason for banning Russian was because those countries threatened to withdraw, not because the war was bad and Russia must be stopped.
This situation isn't the same. Why? Because many countries support Israel in their genocide. Because this time around Palestine is the party in the wrong. Because we're taught to believe that Israel isn't in the wrong here.**
Boycotting Eurovision won't work. There are people out there who don't know the truth and want to watch Eurovision. There are people out there who don't care and will watch Eurovision regardless of the situation. There are people out there who, despite having the facts, still don't see Israel as the bad guy in this situation and will watch Eurovision. Sadly, boycotting won't work unless everyone does it.
The only way Israel will get banned, in my opinion, is by going through the same thing as Russia. If other countries threatened to withdraw- and not any countries, but the ones investing the most in Eurovision, then yes. That will get Israel banned.
Otherwise? The only thing we do is hurt artists that don't deserve it. Artists who use Eurovision as a way to get more exposure and experience. Artists who deserve to be heard.
Don't vote for Israel's entry. Don't stream their song either. Heck, turn off the TV when is their turn to perform.
**This whole situation (the war, not Eurovision) isn't only black and white. Civilians die daily because of this, all of them from both sides. Innocent people who has no fault. Let's not forget that
#Honestly I'm tired of the whole 'Russia got banned Israel should be banned too' speech because is truly bullshit#It has nothing to do with the war per se. It was because countries were unwilling to participate in support for Ukraine#If the whole situation was truly political then other countries wouldn't be able to participate either#Is it fair? No. But that's the situation#Alas Eurovision exist so we forget about the bad in the world for a bit and be more united. Have some fun. Stuff like that#I'm going to get so much hate over this omg. But this is just my opinion/point of view on the matter#Sadly this whole situation isn't even about helping the innocent put in danger by this situation. Is about hate like everything else#My wording is so shitty but people on the internet don't understand shit unless I call 'X bad Y good' so we go with that#eurovision 2024#Also another reminder that THE WHOLE AUDIENCE chanted 'Cha Cha Cha' during eurovision 2023 and were rotting for Finland to win just to lose#Many entries got fucked up by the jury votes too. Our opinion doesn't matter as much as some of you might think lol#Jury votes GOT CHANGED during another eurovision under shitty reasons (I can't remember which year but there were 5 or 6 countries who got#their votes changed). Eurovision has never been fair#We always get annoyed over it and trash talk it then watch it the next year#Also this is not the same as boycotting brands and shit like that who support Israel. No money go from Eurovision to Israel.#This competition as far as I am aware (please correct me if I'm wrong) doesn't support Israel in any way#Be it financially or by donating arms or any other way#Their only fault is for allowing Israel to participate. That's all#Weapons* don't ask me why I said arms instead sorry#i'm tired lol#Fair warning I won't answer any replies to this post

Hey, y'all, this is just your friendly reminder that other people on the Internet are, in fact, people.
We are not just faceless usernames or silly little profile pictures; we are human beings with human emotions and human lives outside of the internet sphere. We all have problems and issues that are never shared in our online lives. We all have things we are coping and dealing with. We all have complex emotions and complicated relationships and situations with others that we're struggling with.
The person you're about to send anonymous hate or say mean things to is still a person, just as you are yourself. The words you say may have a lasting impact on this person, so before you call them a mean name or try tearing them down, please take a moment to consider if it's actually that big of a deal, if it's actually that worth it to you to potentially leave a lasting - and very negative - impact on another person's life due to whatever situation happened online.
As a reminder, you know nothing of this person, aside from the things you've been told, either by the person themselves or by others. You most likely will never meet them in-person and get the opportunity to look them in the eyes as you speak to them. Would you look them in the eyes and say the same words you are about to share? Because it's so easy to see a cute little crow profile picture or a silly little drawing and dehumanize that person in your mind, associating the picture with the name and subconsciously believing that they are not a human being with emotions, such as yourself. It's so incredibly easy for us to do that, but frankly, it's not right. That profile picture still has a human being sitting behind it at the computer or on their phone. There is a real person behind that account.
Let's all be a little nicer to each other in online spaces, please, and stop attacking each other so viciously. We are not starving jackals, tearing and ripping into each other ruthlessly for any sort of scrap of meat we can find, so let's stop acting like them and treat each other more humanely.
