Class 1-A: *talking about Quirks*
Kaminari: yeah, I got my quirk mostly from my mom! What'd your mom give you, Midoriya?
Midoriya:
Midoriya: ...Anxiety, Kaminari.
Midoriya: She gave me anxiety.

What if AM and AFO both believed Izuku was their biological kid? For some reason DNA testing is a no-go (possibly because both of theirs is so messed up by their quirks) so they just duke it out for who's son Izuku is?
1 - Inko doesn't believe in monogamy and isn't big on relationship either. She warns her partners that it's a no-strong attached thing because communication is important. Toshinori and AFO, respectively, think that it's perfect because they can't afford a real relationship and they don't have to worry about her being clingy. Except that of course, they both catch feelings.
2 - In any case, Inko feels that those two are getting a little too clingy (I mean, what can a woman do with all of those diamonds and jewels and such?). She realized a little too late that she is pregnant but it's not like she is married. Izuku doesn't have a father on the family registry, which means the biological father has no right.
3 - The problem is that five years later, AFO and All Might sees Inko with a small toddler next to her. Since they are in the middle of a fight and Inko is trying to run away while Izuku is doing his best to watch the show, they can't exactly react but inside, they are freaking out.
All Might: "Obviously, he has my wavy hair, is wearing my merch, has lighter hair than his mom, is quirkless and has an innate sense of heroism! He has to be my son!"
AFO: "Obviously, he has my wavy hair, is rambling about quirks, has lighter hair than his mom, is quirkless like his uncle, and he sent a box of spiders to his bully! He has to be my son!"
4 - They can't do a DNA test because their DNA is so messed up and belonging to so many people that you can't predict what a child would inherit.
5 - Inko keeps repeating that neither is the father of her child but they refuse to believe her. Izuku learns to know them as his crazy uncles who keep spoiling them and that he can call if he commits murder.
+ 1 - AFO and All Might learn about each other when Izuku is nine. It's not pretty.

Ask Game: After Izuku is diagnosed Quirkless, his father brings out a knowledge that was almost lost during the Boxer Rebellion, Qi cultivation. By the time he enters UA Izuku has the equivalent of a superstrenght stockpile Quirk, though he also figured out how to use his abilities to float (and once he’s stronger he’ll be able to fly and do other stuff) and is developing the ability to sense danger… So what is this One for All thing that Sir Nighteye and this weird masked Villain think he has and want him to give up? Is this related to how his senpai, Hado Nejire, suddenly became stronger and faster?
A long, long time ago, there was a terrible war, and in the destruction, a child died. The boy's mother fled to a nearby river where she could be alone as she wept for his loss. A handsome stranger heard her cries and asked her what was wrong. When she explained, the man thought long and hard and came up with a solution. A way to cheat the cycle of reincarnation so that she could have her son again. But the method would take hundreds if not thousands of years. The woman agreed.
Anyway, in the present day, Midoriya is born with a few scattered scales on his skin. Everyone assumed this was an early sign of his Quirk, but it was in fact not; he inherited some secondary mutations but no actual Quirk.
Izuku was despondent when he was diagnosed Quirkless. Inko and Hisashi looked at each other and came to a silent agreement. That day, Hisashi retrieved an old box tucked away under some floorboards (They live in a house in this AU). The box contained the scattered scriptures of many different Cultivators which have been fashioned into something of a Cultivation Manual.
Izuku began his journey as a Cultivator that day, meditating alongside his parents to properly get his Qi circulating. Of the five elements flowing through his Qi, Izuku best associates with Wood, but like all Cultivators he has some affinity for them all. He also starts learning swordplay because martial arts is a useful means of aiding the physical part of Cultivation, although it's not something his parents can help with as much.
AFO took notice of him at the USJ incident, when he obliterated the Noumu (he tried to mess with its Qi but being a Noumu that made it tear itself apart) while Nighteye spotted him at the Sports Festival. Both reached some rather incorrect assumptions.
+1. Unlike Spiral Energy, Hado got One For All in her Second Year. Midoriya can sense something up with her Qi, almost like she has a pseudo-core. It's very weird to him.
+2. The Celestial Courts don't like Cultivators because becoming immortal is infringing on their territory. This is generally handled by a good old-fashioned lighting bolt to smite someone. Because of his theft of longevity Quirks, All For One has had this happen to him about once a decade or so. He's so confused by this phenomena that he earned a PhD in Meteorology to figure out why it keeps happening.
+3. Izuku is totally desensitized to electricity because he's seen both of his parents struck by lightning on at least one occasion.

10 said, No I do not think there is enough evidence to justify it
-
Fourteenth question: To my canon DFO theory enjoyers, if DFO becomes canon BUT it's done in a way you dislike, how would you feel about the idea of canon DFO then?
Tumblr media
28 said, I just want DFO to be canon no matter what, but I prefer it to be done in a way Iike
7 said, If it's not done in a way that satisfies me then I don't want DFO becoming canon at all
9 said N/A
-
Fifteenth question: To my DFO theory believers, at this point in the manga, do you think that the theory can be made canon in a way that is satisfying?
Tumblr media
13 said, Yes I still think Hori can pull it off in a satisfying manner
23 said, It could go either way and that makes me nervous
4 said, No we are long past the point of it being done in a satisfying manner
4 said, N/A
-
Sixteenth question: If you enjoy the DFO theory, how would you feel if it does not become canon?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I reached the picture limit so I'll just type the rest out)
I’d honestly be ok if it doesn’t, this is Hori’s story not mine
I don't care. Imma still use him as a father material in fanfics. But it just just a waste of reference(starwars) and too important drama.
I'll be sad ofc, but it's hori's story and I'll respect that. Besides, there are always fanfics.
I would be dissapointed
I would at least want some meaningful Afo backstory, Izuku introspection. Also perhaps Afo and Izuku actually having a conversation before the series is over.
Indifferent. It would’ve been a bonus, but wouldn’t have taken anything too major from the story for me.
Sad :((
Good.
I wouldn't mind too much, that's what fanfiction is for lol
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Sad, disappointed, my whole life was a lie. I will perceive DFO as a parallel universe
I tend to like things more for their potential than for their concrete form, so it wouldn't be any different from other things I like
Why isnt there an equivalent of this question for people who don't like the theory? (yeah there should've been my bad ya'll)
Despite being dfo theorists myself for a very long time, I’d be absolutely fine, maybe I would even gloat a bit because of how dogmatic some dfo fans became in the last few years
Honestly, it wouldn’t bother me that much. It’s a fun little tidbit to hope for, but it’s nothing that I’d stake my opinion on the series for. Like, sure, it’d be a nice bow on top to really tie together the parallels in the manga that we see seeded throughout the series between AM & Izuku vs AFO & Shiggy, but it wouldn’t be something to make-or-break the manga.
-
Seventeenth question: If you dislike the DFO theory, would you seriously consider dropping the manga if it becomes canon?
Tumblr media
0 said yes I hate it so much
3 said No I'll still read it
1 said depends on how bad the damage is
40 said, N/A (didn't include it in the chart so you can see the other results more clearly)
-
Eighteenth question: If you dislike the idea of DFO becoming canon, have you ever at one point wanted it to become canon? (meaning you used to enjoy the thought of canon DFO but later changed your mind about it)
Tumblr media
2 said, yes
3 said, no
39 said, N/A (didn't include it in the chart so you can see the other results more clearly)
-
Nineteenth question: If you dislike the DFO theory and if it became canon, do you think you could ever warm up to the idea of AFO canonically being Izuku's father?
Tumblr media
7 said maybe it depends on how the concept is done
1 said there was no way they could ever warm up to the idea
36 said N/A (didn't include it in the chart so you can see the other results more clearly)
-
Twentieth question: If DFO doesn't become canon, would you prefer that Izukus father appears at the end of the manga with Izuku narrating the story to him, or that he doesnt ever appear at all?
Tumblr media
22 said, they would prefer if he never appeared at all
14 said, they would prefer if he appeared at the end with Izuku narrating the story to him
8 said, Other
The other responses are as follows...I would prefer if he were revealed, but not that way
He left for the milk and all might steps up to the position instead
Only if hisashi was a) a villain who worked under AFO, 2) AFO had turned hisashi into a nomu, 3) was an underground hero in America, 4) worked abroad with something related to quirks. If it's not anything of what I wrote, I'd prefer him to never appear
But what if, hear me out, his dad at the end he narrating too looks a lot like AFO. Plot twist galore. LOL
I want him to appear, but him having the story told to him doesn't make sense. Like you couldn't email your kid and known the story? I feel like he would be getting updates in the background of the story. Not something we see as readers but it's happening. Too cheesy don't like the idea. But I'll expect it
I'd want an even funnier explanation for his long-term missing status
I don't feel strongly one way or other about Hisashi directly appearing. I'd be fine if he never did.
If he does show up, I want him to be an unimportant figure in his life. He abandoned them: Izuku never talks about his dad, ever; it’s only his mom that ever mentions him the one time- that’s the only reason we know he exists. If anything, I want All Might to, after his big fight with AFO, become Izuku’s canonically accepted father figure. I could make up a reason for this but honestly, I think it’s be good for both their characters if this happened.
-
And that is the end of our results, thank you to everyone who participated :)

My Dad for One theory + Shigaraki was quirkless (manga spoilers)
Tumblr media
Hear me out, this is going to sound so weird. Let me know if I got anything wrong.
Premise number 1: We know that quirks are passed genetically, but that there is a part of the population who is quirkless. Still, quirkless people are rarer and their numbers are decreasing drastically.
Premise number 2: Piling up quirks (the use of OFA) has shortened the lifespan of previous users, but this has no effect on someone quirkless (like All Might and Deku himself)
Premise number 3: We know AFO was trying to create the perfect vessel for himself (and the nomus). And we know that AFO does want to take AFO and given how long he has lived, we can assume that he has always deduced that AFO is better used by a quirkless body than a quirk one. So it would benefit him to have quirkless children to raise up as his future vessel
Theory 1: SHIGARAKI IS QUIRKLESS
There is a popular theory around which is... Shigaraki is quirkless and his quirk was given to him by AFO.
We know that AFO was probably going to target Nana's family and she had to leave them to protect them. Once Nana was dead, we can assume that finally AFO found her family, and found them quirkless.
The idea is that both AFO and OFA are genetically connected (first user was his brother) but also do not need to be passed genetically. By the nature of these two quirks, they are the only ones that could have adapted/evolved to be passed not genetically. Given that a quirkless body is better - what a better way to pass it to your quirkless child through AFO/OFA instead of through genes?
So if by their nature AFO and OFA create quirkless children, we would have all of Nana's children/granchildren as... quirkless.
We have three people genetically connected to Nana (OFA): her son Kotaro, her grandchild Hana and her grandchild Shigaraki (Tenko).
Tumblr media
The interesting thing is that Kotaro and Hana... seem to have no quirks. Shigaraki's quirk is so unusual and so different from Float, and we have no similar quirk in his family. Of course, I could be wrong, as Shigaraki's mother also has no apparent quirk shown.
Still, I found it strange that Horikoshi decided to not show us how Shigaraki's quirk could have been the result of his parents' quirks mixing together. Think back of when Horikoshi introduced families, the Bakugous, Deku's mom, Tsuyu's family, Todoroki's - there was always a focus on quirk and genetics and what could be inherited. Here instead, where we have such an unusual and terrible quirk, we have nothing.
If truly AFO/OFA produces quirkless children, then we would expect Kotaro, Hana and Shigaraki himself to be quirkless.
Another point in support of it, is these panels:
Tumblr media
You can see the first one is a random scene... why is it even there? It gives us nothing, it just shows that Tenko was running away. The mystery man is dressed exactly as AFO in chapter 350, which is a flashback from him finding an almost dead Dabi. Both flashbacks are from before AFO gets injured by All Might.
Given that it looks like he was targetting families of heroes... maybe it was him that found Tenko, found out he was quirkless and then gave him that terrible quirk.
Theory 2: CREATING VESSELS
If AFO found out that Shigaraki was quirkless, and so were the members of Nana's family he could have decided to experiment. If he needs a quirkless body and he knows AFO/OFA produce quirkless children... what better way than producing some himself?
Deku was conceived 7/8 years old before AFO got that terrible injury, so that could mean that was the point when AFO lost close contact with Inko.
My only other point in support of this is the doctor.
Tumblr media
I think it is quite interesting that it is THIS specific doctor (who works for AFO) who is following Deku so closely and finding out Deku is quirkless. That would be excellent news for AFO, a quirkless kid to use as an extra vessel if Shigaraki fails.
So this is my theory! Probably wrong - even if I do firmly believe that Shigaraki was quirkless before he met AFO!

Oh hell, someone shoot me... or at least help me find a way to shut the section of my brain that seems to be constantly creating A/Us until I can finish one A/U project...
Here's a Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia A/U with some DC crossovers due to Jason Blood being Izuku's biological father (and being active in Izuku's life). Going to just call it Boku no Magic Hero for now.
Here's a basic timeline...
Jason has been out of the Hero game since the Justice League disbanded roughly two decades or so before the surge of Quirks. He still helps out if something happens when he's in the area, but other than that, he's pretty much settled into civilian life (with a few magical exceptions). He, and Etrigan by extension, moved to Japan when the Quirk Surge was at its peak and as he and the other Magic Users tried to keep the world's magic alive by scattering and trying to find and recruit individuals that could channel magic. But as time went on and the former League members and Magic Users started thinning out.
With some thinking and proper planning, Jason opened a nice little establishment where people can unwind, which he called Magix Machina. This establishment also helps Jason with his search for individuals that can channel magic within a sea of Quirk users. But a year after Jason opened Magix Machina, he heard the news of the death of the other last former member of the Justice League and then the host to Dr Fate passed away. Jason received the Helmet of Fate (or Nabu as he likes to be called when it's just him) in the mail a week after the news, so now all that remains of the Justice League and Magic was Jason Blood (plus Etrigan by extension) and Nabu.
Jason created a golem body for Nabu to use as a way to move around and help out at Magix Machina. Nabu obviously doesn't like it because he doesn't have magic to draw on from the golem, meaning he can't use magic at all, but it was essentially better than sitting on a shelf collecting dust. It takes a few months, but eventually, they slowly started finding people with magic. One of those people is Midoriya Inko (I would say who some of the others are, but I'll save them for later~). The magic lessons go very well with each of the individuals, much to the joy of Jason-Sensei, Nabu-Sensei, and Etrigan-Sensei (he taught the more combative magic).
As life continues, Jason and Inko end up growing closer and then to none of the other students' surprise, the two end up marrying. Then eventually have a son named Izuku. He's pretty much like his canon counterpart tbh. Izuku is still Quirkless by age 5. Jason has guilt over that since he is technically "Quirkless" by the world’s standard. Jason does tell Izuku that it is possible to be a hero w/o powers and tells him stories about his time in the Justice League. Izuku, being the little Hero Otaku he is, absorbed every one of his dad's stories with glee. And much to the child's joy, he inherited his parents' magical abilities.
On this note, Izuku's relationship with Katsuki is more on the healthy side in this. Since Izuku DOES have an ability even if it’s not a Quirk, Katsuki doesn’t start ripping on the greenette for being “worthless” (which means Kacchan is going to be using a different nickname for Izuku in this... Might need to think a bit on that). Things get a little more complicated between the two when they turned 7 when a small chain of events caused Izuku to accidentally summon and bond with Etrigan's newly "acquired" Daughter, Terragan (OC). So now the duo is now a trio, technically. It took a while to get use to Terragan, or Terra as Izuku likes to call her.
Thanks to a pair of Astral Crystals that Jason managed to grow, Etrigan and Terragan can be seen and heard by mortals when not in control but they can't do anything to anyone as a trade-off. The Astral Crystals also work on Jason and Izuku when Etrigan and Terragan are in control. So imagine how school was for Katsuki and Izuku with a demon kid around (*cough*chaos*cough*).
When the kids are 10, there was a bit of a dry spell of finding new magic sensitive individuals, which is when one of the Magic Students suggest that Jason get back into the Hero Business as a way to raise awareness for Magic. After some careful thinking and some encouragement from Inko, Izuku, and surprisingly Katsuki, Jason (and Etrigan by extension of course) makes his decision.
While Jason/Etrigan re-integrate back into the Hero Society and learn how different things are compared to when he was with the Justice league, Katsuki, Izuku, and Terra train to get into UA!
(Fun little fact with Etrigan and Terragan in this, they are immune to fire-based attacks due to them being from Hell)
Go ahead and send me asks about this A/U! (Time to open another doc for this).

All for one is Deku’s father theory (LONG READ!)
Before i start i want to mention that this is just my theory and my opinion about it
It is not a fact and i can be wrong about it
That being said let’s start
What we know about Hisashi Midoriya is 3 things at very best
first two which we can confim is that
a) He work’s aboard
b) He breaths fire
There are 2 scenes in manga panel which is being mentioned
Tumblr media
(not as important but i will mention it)
and THIS ONE WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT with way it is worded
Tumblr media
I understand that they are lot of people who believe that Hisashi is just a hardworking husband working aboard to provide for his family but what has been bothering me is that he is never mentioned in the conversation between Inko and Izuku.
What is weird to me is that 2 year’s have passed from chapter 1 to 303 and WE do not see Hisashi for example calling, texting or video calling Izuku or his wife to see how they are doing or congratulate his son on his battles.
Deku NEVER MENTIONES him in the story, NEVER.
This is first and only time Inko mention’s him since she say’s “our Izuku” which we can confim that she mean’s her and Hisashi but we can also see that she clearly love’s her husband and she believes he would be happy and proud at his accomplishments.
Now let’s say that All for one is indeed Izuku’s son which could prove somethings
a) fire breathing should be obvious one since he possesed many quirks so let’s assume that he only told Inko that he has fire breathing quirk
b) his absence from the family
now the tricky part is that we can’t prove that Izuku seen him as 14 year old and so but if he didn’t then we can assume since he got the deadly injury from All might, it is pretty possible that he wouldn’t show his face around his wife and son give them fact that he need’s life support to live.
c) Truth be told, Izuku and All for one have some things in common
They both share love for quirks and interests in their abilites, they both know how to make good use of them and they both are VERY smart in their usage of them.
Izuku even fighting with out a quirk managed to go one on one with Bakugo with only his memory of what he written in his notes.
This scene also show’s it very well
Tumblr media
(in english dub Torino also say’s “this kid will grow up to be a real monster”)
Just proving how dangerous Izuku can be (even tho of course he is using it to do good) but it just show’s how little he need’s in order to improve.
Also as All for one, Shigaraki is very passionate and he know’s how to sting in people heart’s to see their reaction, in All for one vs All might, he knew which buttons to press and even tho he is clam person, he also showed to be get angry which personaly reminds me of Izuku vs Shoto.
Izuku vs Shoto, i mean as how Izuku was irritated that Shoto didn’t use his other side to win the battle, Izuku knew exactly what words to say in order to move Shoto foward (of course, Izuku’s actions had good intentions) but my point is that Izuku know’s what word’s to use to help people and move them while All might know’s to do opposite BUT THEY DO WORK.
Also deku’s face can be very dang intimidating and scray when he actually get’s angry
Tumblr media
and my very last manga panel which probably show’s something is this one
Tumblr media
left side of his body in shadow’s while his right side is at light (which show’s in his eye’s)
I believe we are getting small hints about this theory but again i don’t want to say these things as fact’s.
All for one did said to All might’s face how he is aware that he chosen new successor and how of a pathetic teacher All might truly is.
There is a good detailed look at fight between Deku and AFO-Shigaraki written by @psychomurderz which gives a good outlook at the dad for one theory.
There is very last thing which i want to say and maybe try to give my opinion and that is “Why would he do it?”
Personally i think that All for one did wanted to have his own family, since his brother died and i believed he did loved his own brother (or perhaps we can call it his own twisted love) but he did have some care for him. After the death of his own brother, i assume that he wanted to have a family or to see if his own child inherit anykind of quirk. (maybe as an experiment of sorts)
Honestly it can be that he picked Inko because she reminded him of his own brother and he wanted to have a child with somebody who can actually raise his child. It can’t be proven if he loved her or just manipulated her but if i were to quess i would say yes, there was some form of love there.
And as for All for one loving Izuku, it is pretty clear that he does tend to avoid about talking to Izuku as much as possible and even when he took over Tomura’s body WE never see what kind of a expression he makes to him. Which is better explained by the person who i tagged so please give it a read
If dad for one in the end becomes cannon there is actually some interesting thing to pick up and that is that Tomura (villain) is related to Nana Shimura (hero and the 7th user of one for all), while Deku who admires heros and All might is son of all for one the greatest villain) (not confiming it to be clear).
In the end this all can be wrong and Deku’s dad is truly a normal person with fire breathing quirk but i can’t say that i don’t see why it is a bad theory. Dad for one does make sense in it’s own way.
Of course i’m aware that they are some people who would call it cliche and overused but honestly, i don’t see anything wrong with overusing tropes as long they work in their  own story.

So I meant to send you this ask but sent it so someone else. Ehh my bad I was really confused when I got an answer from them. But here is what I want your thoughts on.
Bio Dad for Izuku ( male or female) Danny Phantom or Vald Masters and his/her quirk is ghost powers like their. But Izuku quirk only awaken after he/she almost dies.
I don't think they would kill themselves as it was clear they went through a lot of crappy things in life. Izuku never tried to. So like with the Slime villain attack or the kids in his class go to far and end up injery him/her to a point he/she dies
I know nothing about Danny Phantom but I like the idea as a ‘Izuku has ghost powers’ AU. Danny is still alive after centuries and didn’t think his kid would inherit the halfa part of him. He’s unaware he has a kid and is an international hero.
When Izuku ends up being shoved down the stairs by some other kids and then awakens his ghost powers, everyone is shocked. Danny upon hearing it is horrified.
Izuku is now being trained by his dad while the school was sued. Izuku is very happy with the new normal. Inko is just happy her son is happy.
And maybe Izuku meets an invisible girl...

HEY GUYS, WHAT IF ALL MIGHT GAVE HIS HAIR TO EVERYONE HE WANTS TO ADOPT!!!!
And before you tell me "That's a powerful quirk and he knows how serious it is and Blah Blah Blah," LISTEN!!!!
It started with Izuku and Mirio. He basically adopted Izuku, but then was like "let's try and meet with Nighteye after all" and meets Mirio, and He Loves Both of Them, he dads out like "WELL IF I CAN HAVE ONE MENTEE, I CAN HAVE TWO!!!" And gives Mirio his hair then and then gives Izuku his hair later.
When Izuku gains the power of ofa, it's still the exact same amount of power, because Science Shit and DNA inheritance stuff, like with normal sons and daughters.
Thing is, Nighteye finds out via Nezu, so one day All Might gets called to the principal's office and Nighteye's like "WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE!" and All Might, without missing a beat, goes "MIDORIYA-SHOUNEN IS MY SON! HE MAINLY TAKES AFTER HIS MOTHER!"
Then he thinks "oh shoot I'm really pulling this, huh?"
But of course, both Nezu and Nighteye have lived with Yagi for long enough to know his tells. Nighteye's like "truth plz" and All Might breaks down going "he's so Smoll and precious I wanted to let him be happy he's so cute omg".
Like he doesn't notice the feral energy that's Izuku punching through walls.
Nighteye's like a scandalised housewife and goes "WHAT ABOUT MIRIO?!" and All Might exclaims "HE'S ALSO REALLY AWESOME AND WHOLESOME HOW COULD I NOT ALSO HAND HIM MY QUIRK?!"
But then All Might starts teaching.
And he gets attached.
"Iida-shounen could get hurt if he isn't powerful enough!" All Might reasons, using his superspeed to slip the end of his hair into Iida's lunch, "Ashido-shoujo's Acid would work really well if she had enough speed to back it up!" he mumbles as he sneaks a cupcake with a hair in onto her desk for her birthday. "Kaminari-shounen is so kind and soft! His electric quirk might work better with more power reserves!" he hums, slipping a hair into a brainfried-Denki's mouth on their way to Recovery Girl.
He doesn't really keep track, so he ends up adopting all of 1-A and the big 3. The only reason he hasn't done anything to 1-B is because their actually warier and a little bit saner than 1-A, so he wouldn't get away with it. The only reason he hasn't got to any other classes is because he's either not been introduced, so can't try anything, or those classes are, weirdly enough, entirely sane, so he'd be caught much more easily.
Tho not Mineta. He looks at Mineta, goes "he seems... Enthusiastic!!?!" And sidles away to beg Nezu to get him away from his "more impressionable" kids.
Aizawa still notices, though.
He tells Nezu.
Nezu tells Nighteye.
Nighteye loses his shit.
All Might becomes the entire reason the dorms are set up: if All Might is ready to "adopt via quirk-giving", he is going to Parent everyone he gave his Quirk to.
This means the Big Three end up as Dorm Student Heads, but because there are no 2-B students because of Aizawa, the next big three get put in charge of 2-B. 2-B is slightly salty of this fact.
Then Inko meets everyone when they're moving in, then ACTUALLY MANAGES TO CONTROL ALL MIGHT WHEN HE'S FUSSING OVER EVERYONE, AND AIZAWA IS IN AWE, EVEN AS SHE FORCES HIM INTO HIS DORM ROOM AND MAKES HIM SLEEP, BECAUSE SHE IS A QUEEN!
Nighteye goes to visit her with Nezu when told she managed to wrangle Yagi into some semblance of decency and got Aizawa to sleep properly in a bed, so two days later, she's been made Dorm Matron.
Okie, so you know I said about how feral Izuku can be? Yeah, Mineta somehow manages to steal one of Inko's bras (she's a MILF, her room is on the ground floor guarding the Girl's dorm, she leaves her door open should anyone need to hide in there to calm down for a bit. Mineta takes advantage of that.) Izuku nerfs him, then drags him right up to Aizawa like "EXPEL THE PERV!!" (And the only reason Bakugo doesn't do a murder is Iida and Kirishima holding him back.)
For Mineta's safety, Mineta is moved to Gen Ed. Because he's one of the qualifiers in the last game and Aizawa's student/son, Shinso Hitoshi takes his place!!!.... After a decontamination unit has finished cleaning what was Mineta's room so there is no sign of that slimeball left in there.
It is at this point that Izuku figures out what All Might's done when All Might, inevitably, "adopts" Hitoshi. Izuku confronts All Might and All Might is like "yeeaaahh..."
And Izuku doesn't lose his shit, instead he starts jumping around like a rabbit-pupper-floofball going "THAT EXPLAINS SO MUCH!" and "ICAN TEST SO MANY HYPOTHESES NOW!"
At this point Summer Camp happens.
Everyone finds out the sheer feralness of a bunch of suped-up Teens who have had their family threatened.
THERE! ENJOY!!!

Ok, here's how I'd set up an actual BNHA Elder Scrolls crossover in case I ever get around to write it:
1) While he's, like, 4 years old in his living room watching TV, Izuku's Quirk activates. It will not get an actual official name but we can call it Planeswalker Spark ala MTG. Basically kid can tear a hole through reality and launch himself into a different plane of existence, which is what Izuku accidentally does here.
2) It's a slow process tho, which gives Inko plenty of time to rush in from where she was to tackle her son away from the sudden green glow brightly shining around him, a impulse decision based on her Instinct to protect him at all costs, which only ends up with both of them getting sent to Skyrim.
3) Izuku incidentally also happens to be a Shezzarine. His quirk is a mutation from her mom's side, whose Quirks usually affect space in some way, and is completely unrelated to this. Anyway, he and Inko are on the cart to Helgen now, usual shit, The plot of Modded Skyrim takes places, with Inko taking on the brunt of the adventure and trying to shelter Dragonborn Izuku from his destiny.
4) After many trials and tribulations, 2 DLCs, 4 guilds, 1 Dragon War, several adopted orphans as well as so many quest mods it's unreal, Lucien Flavius and several members of the College of Winterhold manages to reverse engineer Izuku's quirk, and gives him an enchanted ring to better control it. Kid can now safely use it without risking ending up somewhere completely different from his planned location. Izuku is now 14 years old. He also had to do terrible things no matter how much his mother tried to shelter him and take the brunt of the war crimes. This leads to PTSD obviously, but also to a now blue and orange morality system, chief among them his general disregard with killing or not killing someone.
5) Getting back to 10 years prior, Izuku's Quirk causes a ripple in the Tachion Field surrounding earth, which is felt on I-Island. David Shield spends the remaining 10 years monitoring and trying to better understand the phenomena, since it could be revolutionary in the till then hypothetical field of time and space travel. When Izuku activates his quirk back 10 years later, I-Island has by then built a teleportation device, hijacking Izuku's trip and sending him to I-Island.
6) Meanwhile on a familiar junkyard, Hatsume Mei's scrappy device built via salvaged parts, spit and lots of duct tape comes to life on her back, individuating a sudden tear in the now constantly decaying Tachion Field. It's happening in the middle of the ocean tho, so she can't really deal with it now.
7) Anyway, David Shield needs Izuku at hand for his Quirk, but Izuku and his mom came back to Japan trying to live a double life since by then most of their friends and family are in Tamriel. Except, both of them have been declared dead for years, and Hisashi, the bitch, ran away with the insurance money, so they don't have a life to return to. David Shield can't let them get back to Tamriel tho, again, he needs Izuku on planet for his new research, bit also realizes that if he actually wants to leave he can't really stop him, except Izuku, you know, still wants to become a hero, just like his mom is in Skyrim. So they reach a compromise, he will try to get into UA, and will take a new identity as Mikumo Akatani, usual excuses to have Izuku get into 1-A you know?
8) Izuku can't really make his Quirk public tho. So, after forging his and his mother identities as a foreign dignitary from the states and her son, and his Quirk is listed as "Cataclysm" (The last perk in the destruction skill tree for a Fire (and Earth) mage in the Ordinator Mod). He is after all a member of the college of Winterhold, trained under the Great and Powerful Destruction Magician Uncle J'Zargo the Magnificent himself, of course he knows plenty of spells. However, he can't really explain all of them as one Quirk, or better yet, he can, it would just get really complicated, so he just goes "My mom can move things with her mind, my... Father, ugh, can blow fire from his mouth, obviously my Quirk is being able to control flames with my mind, usually from my hands but some times also via vocalisation."
9) Which means Izuku has to really contain what shit he can do. It's a very superman like situation, since he needs to remain in control at all times and also not slip up and pull spells he couldn't explain as his "fire" quirk, least people start asking questions. Some people however notice.
10) Tsuyu and Todoroki start an unofficial conspiracy theorist fan club over it.
Tsuyu was there with him at the USJ, where in his sudden hyperfocused competence over the crisis situation made her realize A) This is not the first time this boy has almost died in his life and B) Back in the water at the USJ, she could swear she saw his hands shining as some strange light washed over him, and she could swear he could swim as fast as her back then, and for such long periods of time she could swear he could breath underwater. That makes it really suspicious.
Todoroki sees another kid with a powerful fire quirk but also the signs of a hard life and who seems to not like his father, and instantly goes "Oh... same hat." So his conspiracy is that Izuku is actually Endeavour Bastard Son he had after a premarital affair during a visit to the states 14 years prior, and he has a corkboard to prove it. He also realizes that he's trying to contain his power just like he is, which makes him believe he too must have done a pledge just like him.
11) Shinso beats Bakugou on the first match of the tournament. Doesn't really matter to the overall crossover I just wanted to point this out.
12) Anyway, this explodes during the Sports Festival. It's Todoroki Vs Midoriya, and 1) everyone is comparing the two due to similar Quirks, which Izuku finds really unfair to both of them, 2) Todoroki is being a stubborn ass with his quirk and 3) Izuku can't really talk now l, can't he? That would make him an hypocrite, and he might be a Mage, an Honorary member of the Explorer Guild, a Dragonborn and also a Bard College Student for some reason, but he's not a hypocrite, so he just up and SNAPS because hey, maybe Todoroki will actually unleash his full potential if someone else does it first too.
13) So, Izuku Midoriya, on national television, starts blasting. Armour Spells, Ice Spells, Lightning Spells, Mind Spells, Water, Wind, Air, Poison, turns himself invisible, summons a Dremora Champion, shouts with the power of the souls of the Dragons his mother slew, Todoroki actually has to start using his fire but is mostly out of sheer survival now ("There is always a bigger fish out there, and one day you deciding not to use your full power just because of a stupid pledge will get someone killed. Trust me, I know. You better start realizing that now Todoroki"), and is still a close match because Izukus spells all start from his hands or mouth after all, and Todoroki has now something to prove more than ever.
14) Without his robes on tho, Izuku Magicka is depleted in the end, ending up in a tie as the two collapse from exhaustion. Rather than an arm wrestling match this time, Izuku is disqualified due to the sudden mutation of his Quirk. He's fine with it and probably expected it, bit this still bums Todoroki out, as well as all of his classmates and friends.
15) After the Festival there are 4 leading theories on Izuku now:
A) All Might, discovering via Tsukuachi that Izuku's identity is fake, as well that he looks a bit like a missing case kid from 10 years ago, AND knowing that AFO is back due to the USJ... Believes Izuku is a mole, and is working, willingly or unwillingly, for AFO after he was implanted with all those Quirks. He is now incredibly suspicious of him, and it kind of shows. Nighteye is on the same page despite not having talked to the man in years, and is subtly trying to have Mirio scout out the kid to see if he's a threat. Mirio is too much of a Golden Retriever to even realize what has been asked of him tho, and just think Nighteye wants him to befriend another kid with a promising Quirk.
B) Todoroki now knows the truth. Izuku is Monoma's long lost twin brother. His Quirk allows him to copy the Quirks of those around him (Iron Skin and Stone Skin would be Tetsu Tetsu and Kirishima Quirks after all, Invisibility is Hakagure, Fire and Ice are either his or Bakugou's, Lightning is Kirishima, and Tsuyu mentioned how he could swim and breath underwater while near her, meaning he was using her Quirk). He has connected the dots.
C) AFO still remembers his brother's lover, the stories she came up with, the long periods of times she was gone, only to return with a haunted look in her eyes... The powers she hid from him, thinking he wouldn't notice, the way she fled right after his brother lay lifeless on the ground, almost disappearing into thin air with his broken body... The family his brother hid so well from him, as if they were in another world all together... They never told him, but he knew, he knew she had some sort of Quirk, one that had been then inherited by this new Mikumo Akatani, so similar to HIM yet so different, back from the other world in revenge for his ancestor.
He has to capture that kid. He's family after all, and his quirk belongs to him, it's his by right as his brother's keeper. And with it, he will be able to extend his reach to worlds beyond his own.
D) the official version, the one David Shield puts out, is that Izuku's Quirk evolved unexpectedly due to the new environment he was in, mentioning it as a precursor of Quirk Singularity.
E) The only one who actually got it is Hatsume. She can tell Izuku is the source of the Tachion Spikes and subsequent decays as he "returns home" in Skyrim when leaving school, so she perfectly understands that he's a powerful warlock from across dimension who had come here with the power of science and unholy magic to infiltrate society posing as a hero. Obviously, she's going to help him do it becoming his evil vizier and grand artificer of course. Worst case scenario, she can now market the shit out of him as a hero using her babies, best one, he succeeds and she gets to rule Australia out of their "Deal." I say "Deal" because Izuku isn't even sure he got half of what she was saying, but she seems nice and if Skyrim taught him anything is that you should treasure everyone willing to be your friend, so they hang out together, scheming and plotting without even realising it.
Tsuyu however pretty much got the gist of what Hatsume was saying (it was a crowded lunch break after all) and while she does know Izuku doesn't seem the type of the interdimensional conqueror, she still decides to call dibs on North America in exchange of becoming his Grand Admiral.
And Who knows, maybe he'll end up starting an actual line of Dragonborn Emperors there too.
Anyway that's the rough draft.

Not sure when you're done, but for when you'rein your asks: talk about your stockpile-adaptation tradeoff theory
Ok So, this turned out very long and very rambly but i finished my homework after midnight and i won’t be stopped from posting this. Let’s call it a mix of “Stockpiled- adaptation tradeoff theory”, “Pocket’s thoughts on how the quirk singularity isn’t a thing”, “overhaul doesn’t understand evolution”, and a bit of “rubbing into AfO’s face about him not being as grand as he thinks he is”
First, let’s talk about Copy vs AfO
So, the thing about Copy is that it lets Neito reproduce the plus alpha factor in it’s entirety- all the mutations needed to activate it, and at least some what a way to instinctively turn it on and off. He copies Eri’s quirk, he gets her horn. He copies Eri’s quirk, and he’s able to know for sure that he’s activated it, but nothing still happens. That’s because for all he is now perfectly adapted to using her quirk, he doesn’t have her stockpile, or even a copy of her stockpile.
Now, AfO. He takes a quirk, but unlike Neito, his comes with whatever was stockpiled. We know this, because he was able to retain the tags that Ragdoll had on students inside of Search while he stole it, and when it was passed to Tomura. He also appears to be able to use mutation quirks, but we haven’t actually seen him take one for himself- he switches a mutation for a quirkless man, and it’s very possible that every ‘body altering quirk’ he uses at Kamino is in fact a transformation quirk, not a mutation. Let’s call this Subset A of the theory, that AfO might be able to give others mutations, but not use them himself. Whether or not that’s true, or if he just activated then deactivated the mutation, there’s the fact that after using air blast against All Might at Kamino, he shook out his hand to jog back feeling and get over the pain of the quirk’s recoil. A pain that, with one’s natural resistance to their own quirk, he shouldn’t have to really worry about- not to mention all the other ones he has to deal with.
But, for some reason, while AfO can yank everything in a stockpile quirk, he can’t yank the adaptability with it. If someone has a body suited to a fire quirk, and a fire quirk, then AfO can take the quirk, but will not have the resistance for it. This means he’ll have to seek out another quirk- he’ll have to seek out fire resistance specifically tied to a person’s plus alpha factor, rather than anything in any other part of the body.
There’s a couple of reason why, but first, lets acknowledge the slightly horrifying fact that following the rules we see with Search and from Monoma’s example, this means that if AfO stole Fatgum’s quirk, he would also be stealing every fat cell in his body linked to it- which might be all of them. which would be very very bad for one’s health. Anyway, nightmare aside, it also means stockpiled things are stored in the quirk factor. This is likely why Eraserhead is able to erase a stockpiled quirk like any other kind, but probably couldn’t temporarily stop someone from having heat resistance as a byproduct.
So, the why. Let’s talk about evolution. and lets ignore everything Chisaki said about apes because he’s a stupid man who knows nothing.
As a species, you might be inclined to say that humans are more evolved than apes. or more evolved than moss. You would be not really correct. Humans are evolved differently, but we’ve all been growing from the first living cells the same amount of time, just to suit different roles and niches. a moss is just as good at being moss as a human is at being a human. But, you could make the argument that your generation of human is more evolved than your ancestors’ generations of humans- you have, after all, been going longer. But really, in a few generations? That’s not a lot of time, really.
Even with the quirk singularity theory, there’s a lot of holes in the Doctor’s argument. Sure, Eri and a lot of the other kids are ridiculously powerful. But Kouta really isn’t. And AfO has an insane power despite being likely a first generation quirk holder. So really, its probably a lot less ‘people are being born with stronger powers’ and more ‘people with stronger powers are being allowed to live longer.’ Are the kids stronger? Or are they just in a society where they can get better training at a younger age? Survivorship bias, i tell ya, it makes for strange things. Remember, Inko’s weak telekinetic quirk is fourth gen, supposedly only one generation off from where it would be too strong to handle. That... doesn’t seem to add up. even if she had a child who had telekinetic twice as powerful as her, in omnidirection, there’s nothing really in that that sounds like it would be injurious to the holder. Thirteen can create black holes that probably killed people when first manifesting, and is old enough to be a generation above Eri. Speaking of human stations being mistaken for inherit genetics, quirk marriages where people are worse off because they meddled in a science they knew nothing about to try and do new eugenics- the todoroki children are basically unnatural and poor examples of ‘quirk singularity’
Quirks generally get more evolved in each generation, yes, unless you get no quirk or an identical set to a parent. But ‘more evolved’ doesn’t mean stronger, it can mean more complex. Case in point, back to AfO and Copy.
Why doesn’t AfO’s quirk allow him to steal resistance? Likely because the resistance for a quirk is stored in a different gene than in the plus alpha factor itself- hence Touya can get an ice resistance gene, and a fire producing quirk gene- and his quirk isn’t built to interact with that. Past that, it’s because AfO doesn’t need to interact with that- he can just go steal another quirk that covers the problem. Storing all that extra non-quirk gene would probably wreak havoc on his body- warp it like a nomu, so his quirk is evolved efficiently.
Copy, on the other hand, is certainly more complicated than “Move Quirk Factor Around”. It means mimicking a quirk, growing all necessary parts to it, and instinctively activate and deactivate. He doesn’t have immediate skill, but he does have immediate use. It also comes with whatever mutations and resistances a person has- a horn, an engine, a protection for headache relief or electrical resistance.
So, what? Why is it important
Well, let’s compare
Situation A: Monoma copies Dabi’s quirk. Monoma gains both Dabi’s flames and his ice resistance for a temporary amount of time.
Sitation B: AfO steals Dabi’s quirk. He gains the blue fire, but his natural, normal reation to both ice and heat are unchanged. Dabi is quirkless, but still has the same amount of cold resistance as before
Situation C: Monoma copies Suneater’s quirk. Monoma is able to manifest anything in his stomach, but nothing from Suneaters.
Situation D: AfO steals Suneater’s quirk. He also gets everything in Suneater’s stockpile, so whatever was in his stomach that the quirk had ‘active’- which might be everything inside, or only what he was currently using. Suneater is now quirkless, again, but also hungrier and stop being mean to my son.
So, again, why? Basically, humanity hasn’t had enough time for quirks to really streamline yet, and every quirk has its limits for a reason. AfO likely cant touch other resistances or vestigial mutations, and might not be able to even wield fully mutation quirks. Monoma, from a more evolved but not necessarily stronger generation can, because he has no other way to get the copied quirks active, and his evolutionary line solved that sometime before him.
Also, the idea of a quirk singularity is not widely accepted in universe for a good reason. There are other factors, and frankly a lot of what the doctor was talking about was how AfO finds it harder or riskier to use quirks after the fourth generation. This isn’t necessarily because they’re stronger or deadlier, it’s just because they are more complicated and rely more on other parts of one’s dna that he can’t steal.
Because he’s got the ability to take stockpile, but not adaptability, and for some reason that seems rather fitting for him- not able to adapt quite enough to ever really kill All Might, even when duplicating quirks to boost the number in his stockpile, is he?

Izuku's Birthday and he is officially 10
Ao3 *** First *** Previous *** Next
~~~~~~~~~~
The day after meeting my father was my tenth birthday. Dad had to leave for the day, but he promised that afterwards we would celebrate. Today it was just Mama and me.
“What would you like as a present this year Izu?” Mama asked as we entered a huge toy store.
That was when Izuku saw a little boy and his mother, and he couldn’t believe his luck. Kachan was here! Why? Why now? Why today? Izuku could not believe his luck. Don’t look this way. Please! To late the blonde red eyed child turned around and saw Izuku. The child tugged his mother’s arm and they both headed towards them Izuku immediately put a smile on and said in a somewhat happy tone “Hi Kachan. Hi Auntie Mitsuki.”
“How are you Mitsuki? Hello there Katsuki.” Mama greeted the two and they talked a bit. Kachan kept glaring at me but I didn’t let it bother me. I was too exited for tomorrow. Dada and I are going to spend all day together and dealing with Kachan is nothing compared to that.
Mama and auntie were talking so I started to look around the store not far from mama. I was holding a All Might travel bag when I heard a small laugh behind me. I knew it was Kachan only he seemed to give off a smug aura that was a bright red. “You know you are such a cry baby Deku. I bet if All Might ever met you, he would laugh” after that Kachan began laughing, “All Might would never pay attention to a Deku” I was getting mad. Toshi would never do that, my dad would not laugh at some one for being scared he always comforted everyone he has saved.
It took all of my will power to not scream at Kachan. I took a deep breath and counted 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and let it out as I did, I thought calm thoughts a calmed my aura and it spread around me. “I feel sorry for you if you think that way Kachan” my voice was so even that Kachan’s aura seemed to shutter scared and then calm. Kachan stood there with his mouth open as I went back to mama. I tugged on mama’s sleeve to not speak over her or Auntie, when she looked at me, I held up the bag and said, “I found something Mama!” I smiled genuinely for the first time since seeing Kachan.
“Well, it seems like we are ready to check out. Bye Mitsuki.” Mama waved and I turned and waved I couldn’t help but see the uncertain way Kachan was staring at me, this wasn’t odd at school we always competed with each other, he was probably thinking of how to win next time. Mama chuckled “This is perfect” she looked at me suspiciously “were you using your quirk while Mitsuki and I were talking?”
“No! I wasn’t mama I promise” I jumped as if I was being electrocuted. I began to blush because I just used the quirk, she was accusing me of using.
---
Izuku and I went home after spending the day out. I went to the kitchen and began dinner.
“Mama?” I nearly jumped. Izuku was usually talking and was never quiet. When he was silent, he almost seemed to not make a sound and would almost disappear if you didn’t have eyes on him. Probably a result if his quirk or at least one of them.
“Yes Izuku” I was practically clutching my chest, but I noticed why he seemed to be unnaturally unlike himself. He was looking at the floor fumbling with his hands.
“Mama I want to tell dad about my quirk.”
Why does he want to tell Hisashi? “I don’t know if that is the best idea” now it was my turn to be uncomfortable. But to my surprise Izuku laughed.
“No not Papa. Dad” Izuku was still laughing and it probably didn’t help that my confusion was apparent. “Dad. I want to tell Toshi.”
Realization hit me and I couldn’t answer. I trust Toshi. And he did trust us with his secret. Can I? Can I do the same? “Why? Why do you want to tell him?”
---
In all honesty Izuku was not ready for that question. He thought mom would say yes or no or something like that. But he didn’t think mama would ask him why. Izuku thought for a moment. Just a moment. “I trust Toshi and Toshi trusts us. I, I don’t want to hide from dad. I want to be a hero like dad, but I can’t if I don’t tell him the truth about my quirk” I looked up at mama and she was thinking hard, her nose was scrunched, and her lips were in a tight line she thought for a long time.
Mama sighed after a long, long time, “Alright, but are you absolutely sure you want to tell him?” I nodded my head; my mind was made up.
---
Inko looked at her son fondly, he was growing up fast, too fast for her tastes. Izuku had a smile on his face but it disappeared. And she began to panic. Before she could say anything, he whispered, “Papa asked about my quirk.” Her breath caught in her throat. He can’t know. He shouldn’t know about Izuku’s quirk. “he didn’t know anything mama.”
“How can, you be sure?”
“Because he asked me what it was, and his color didn’t change, and he didn’t think about it.”
“Izuku” she needed to know “What did you tell your father?”
“That my quirk makes me fast and strong” she pursed her lips at this “he thinks it is a mutation” at this she was finally able to breathe. Hisashi was smart, and learning about quirks is his passion, something Izuku inherited. Thankfully, he thinks Izuku’s quirk is simple, strange, but simple. “Are you mad, mama?”
“No, you know better now to only trust few because I can’t lose you not again, never again” Izuku hugged her.
---
I opened the door quietly, not knowing if Izuku was already asleep. To my surprise he nearly talked me when I opened the door. “Dad’s home, Dad’s home mama.” Izuku called out to his mother while pulling me towards the living room.
“How was work?” Inko asked like she always did, but tonight she seemed a bit tense. She was holding a mug in her hands and on the table were two more.
“Work was fine, are you alright?” I went into a frenzy trying to figure out what was upsetting her. I asked so many questions so fast that not all left my lips. To my utter surprise Inko didn’t answer but Izuku did, well sort of.
Izuku laughed, “Mama is fine Dad” I looked at him “she isn’t hurt or scared of anything.”
I looked at the child and was in awe a ten-year-old was so calm and Toshi could not understand so he looked at Izuku as if to clarify.
“Mama is nervous, because, because I want to tell you something.” He paused and looked dead serious almost as if he knew everything going on. “something as big as you are being All Might.”
He didn’t know what to say or do so he simply nodded and listened. Inko gave him a mug and sat next to him. Izuku was sitting in the chair next to the couch and took a deep breath.
“I wanted to tell you about my quirk.” His quirk? Isn’t it a strength quirk? “No, my quirk is not a strength quirk. My quirk is, um well, I have multiple quirks.” I froze what this, this cant be true. Izuku can use many quirks. Does he steal them. No, he can’t, he can’t be like him. “I don’t steal quirks. I can copy any quirk I see used in person, but only if I understand how it works. I make a copy and can then use it any time.”
This is major I looked over at Inko and her lips were in a tight line and she almost looked to be in tears. I placed the mug down and looked at Izuku who looked at me. I stood up walked around the table and crouched down. Izuku was shaking and holding his breath, he was scared, just like was when I told them I was a hero. That was when I hugged Izuku I hugged my boy and he cried into my shoulder.
“It’s okay, it’s okay” he tried to reassure him “You were so brave to tell me. And that does not change the fact that you are my son and I love you. So, thank you for being honest with me Izuku I know that could not have been easy.” He had pulled away from the boy and wiped the tears from his eyes. Izuku seemed to be relieved at his answer and hugged him tight. “now it is time for you to go to bed we have a big day planned tomorrow after all” Toshi stated with a chuckle and the little tike ran off to get ready for bed.
“Thank you” Inko whispered as if she had not taken a breath since he had arrived.
“What for?”
“For accepting Izuku.”
“Well” Toshi shuffled his feet and ran a hand through his hair timidly “Izuku accepted me first” and he let out a laugh.
okay I'm thinking like. the Inko fic of her and Hisashi and the entire Future Shadow Knowledge of them discussing kids and speculating on quirk-proofing the house along with babyproofing and the exciting future prospect of being a family
for my 30 min fic challenge / read more: ‘30 min fics’ tag
goldentime [read on AO3]
“Do you think we’ll need a fire extinguisher?”
Inko stretches her arms over her head, sighing at the feeling. Hisashi takes the chance to slip between her hands and smile down at her, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head.
“We already have one, my dear,” he murmurs, and when he starts to pull away Inko wraps her hands around the back of his neck to keep him there.
“Yes, but…”
“We’ll be fine,” Hisashi says, laughing. “I’m more worried about if he inherits your Quirk. I can stand a little fire, but you always draw me in.”
“Hisashi,” Inko hisses, knocking his cheek with her knuckles.
“It’s true,” Hisashi teases. “I did pick up locks for the cabinets, of course, and I was thinking maybe we could keep things in boxes or containers so our kid doesn’t accidentally float everything over.”
Inko hums. “That’s a good plan.”
She hasn’t stopped dreaming since she’d learned she was pregnant. First a call to Mitsuki down the street, crying over the phone. There are a few older kids in the neighborhood, and every time Inko passes them her chest seems to open and expand outward.
Inko keeps thinking of green eyes, or dark, curly hair the same as Hisashi’s. What their little boy would look like, what he might sound like. Will he have Hisashi’s smile? Will he have Inko’s laugh?
Will he have one of their Quirks?
“Maybe we’re doing this a little too early, anyway,” Inko says, though she’s a firm believer that there’s no such thing as being overprepared. “Most kids don’t get their Quirks until four. Our baby’s not even born yet. Though, of course, some kids are born— and well—”
“Inko,” Hisashi drawls, and takes her hand and squeezes.
“What do you think he’ll be like?” she asks. Inko twists on the couch so she can really look at Hisashi. Her stomach rolls uncomfortably, but it’s a reminder that she’s carrying a child. Her son.
“Perfect,” is Hisashi’s first answer. “He’ll be just like you, I bet. One look and everyone’s in love.”
Inko buries her face into the couch pillow to hide her blush. Hisashi laughs again, and she takes the moment to listen to the sound. There’s been a lot of laughter. A lot of joy.
A part of her has been waiting for the shoe to drop. A part of her is always waiting. What if something goes wrong? What if she has a miscarriage? What if something happens to Hisashi, or to her?
“What are you thinking about now?”
Inko runs her tongue along her teeth. Hisashi’s still smiling. She doesn’t want to ruin the mood, but suddenly she feels like her heart is plummeting deep in her chest. Some switch flips inside of her.
“I’m just— I—”
Oh; Inko doesn’t want to cry, but she feels herself start. Hisashi darts around the couch and kneels in front of her right as Inko bursts completely into tears.
“I don’t want anything bad to happen,” Inko blurts, “I’m so- I’m so happy…”
“Inko, Inko,” Hisashi says, gathering her in his arms. “It’s okay. Everything’s going to be wonderful, it’s going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to us, no matter what. He’s going to be the best thing that’s ever happened to us.”
“I- I know,” Inko gasps against his chest.
Hisashi doesn’t stop. “Next week we’ll paint the nursery yellow,” he tells her, “and we’ll spoil our kid with the coolest toys, you know that? Maybe he’ll like heroes, could you imagine that, our little kid growing up to be a hero like All Might. Yeah?”
Inko shuts her eyes and imagines. A mop of brown, curly hair. Eyes wide and green and clear. Freckles dotted around soft baby cheeks. An open smile, a gasp the same way Hisashi sounds when he’s excited.
“Yeah,” she whispers.
“We’ll take him on picnics in the park,” Hisashi continues. “We can go to the beach, and I’ll teach him how to skip rocks.”
“You’re horrible at that,” Inko says, sniffling. She reaches up and wipes at her face. “You’re- you’re right. I’m sorry, I’m just being dumb, I just…”
“I wanna get this right, too,” Hisashi tells her, “I know. I’m worried about the new job, but… everything that happens, we’ll figure it out, okay?”
“Together?” Inko asks, the word watery.
“Together,” Hisashi promises, and the cold of his wedding band presses against her fingers when he holds her hand. He tilts his head in the direction of the wall, where a few pictures of her and Hisashi hang. Two lonely souls, drawn to each other. “And we can fill that wall.”
In a few years, that will be true—there will be pictures and pictures of a bright-eyed kid, always smiling. Photos cannot capture sound, but there is laughter pressed in each moment.
In a few months, Inko will hold a wailing baby, exhausted. She will hold him close to her chest and feel the warmth of her skin, and she will forget every fear and every worry the first time he blinks and looks at her.
“Izuku,” Hisashi says.
“Izuku,” Inko will agree.
Midoriya Izuku will be loved fiercely.
There will be a time that is as golden as Hisashi promises Inko on this day. Izuku will have all the toys he desires. He will hold Inko’s hand, his fingers so small and so soft. Hisashi will carry him, and carry him, with the tenderness of a father who is looking at his own future.
Inko will know nothing of the hard years ahead.
The apartment will be filled with laughter and joy; Izuku’s room will be painted yellow; and his greatest dream will be to become a hero.
When Inko looks at her husband’s face, she sees none of the bitterness and anger that comes with the word Quirkless. None of the screaming matches to come, the locked doors, until the only thing left of her husband is a check in the mail and a distant phone call. She only sees a promise—together.
wait, so AfO turned his own wife into a nomu? That is fucking TWISTED, what happened?
In my defence, Inko being Kurogiri’s replacement was part of the original AU I am remixing (I am not the first to write a variant on this AU idea, so I hope the original author doesn’t feel this is plagiarism), but also provided a nice way of explaining Izuku ending up an Aizawa without necessarily fridging her, as Inko’s story of reclaiming herself is now an important part of the AU, albeit a third strand from the Todoroki and Aizawa plots.
Ok. So, in order for this to work, Inko got Nomuified a few years after Shirakumo did in canon, which I can excuse here because All for One’s first target somehow managed to escape his clutches and go to ground. So, he has to find a new one. Now, there are a few issues with this. As this post notes, Aizawa was...actually pretty ideally suited to the task All for One had in mind. He has a Quirk that can allow him to keep control over Shigaraki relatively easily, although the process of making him into a Nomu ended up undermining that fairly early on, much to All for One’s displeasure. He was easily missed and overlooked, and his disappearance didn’t cause too many ripples except among his friends. And, though he will deny it forever, he’s always had a nurturing side to his personality, even if he stamped down hard on it after Shirakumo’s disappearance. While All for One was willing to make use of a replacement that wasn’t quite as ideal in canon, here, it takes him a while to find another suitable candidate.
When he does, it’s by accident. He’s still in the habit of visiting Inko and Izuku at this point, though not often and never for very long at a time. Izuku is seven when his mother finally puts together the recent disappearance of a boy named Tsubasa with Izuku having been coaxed into telling his father that Tsubasa had been bullying him, and the description of the last people seen with the boy with some of her husband’s ‘colleagues’ that she has occasionally seen in passing, but never spoken to. And, because Izuku had to inherit his survival skills from somewhere, she decides to confront her husband about it. Because she has rather more in the way of caution, however, she does so over the phone, informing him that she will be suing for divorce and making preparations to change their names and disappear, or go to the police and ask for witness protection, to get away from the husband she is now certain ordered a hit on their son’s bully, who might have been a brat, but was still a seven-year-old boy who didn’t deserve to be murdered.
All for One’s people come for her the next night. She and Izuku had left their apartment by this point and found a cheap hotel to obscure their tracks while Inko gets enough of the evidence together to go to the police, but the precaution doesn’t help them due to one of these underlings having been given a tracking Quirk. The last thing Izuku remembers is his mother telling him to run and find the nearest police officer or station, but she doesn’t have time to tell him the rest. All for One’s subordinates were ordered to bring him his wife and son. They succeed in only half of this objective, as Izuku is able to figure out early on that they can’t get to him as easily in a crowd, forcing them to break off the pursuit or expose themselves.
As for Inko? I think that All for One believes he loves her. I also think that, on some level, he isn’t quite sure what that word means. This is a man who locked his brother, whom he also believed he loved, in a vault. His definition of love might be best summarised as ‘wish to have entirely for myself’. And Inko, unfortunately, gets in the way. He liked having a family. He liked the feeling that he was providing for them, liked the ego boost that gave him and liked dropping in for visits and having Inko and Izuku pay attention to him. I am not sure he is capable of the more selfless aspects of love, and I am quite sure he would consider them a waste of time if he did. I am not sure he would see any particular flaw in the idea of holding Inko and Izuku hostage and continue viewing this as him ‘providing’ for them. Unfortunately for Inko, she has defied him twice over at this point. She was going to leave him, and will keep trying to escape him as long as her will is her own. And she allowed Izuku to get away. Bought him time to do so, in fact, and with his operations in Japan being chipped away at by All Might since his return, All for One’s resources to reclaim him are increasingly limited. He needs some way of preventing Inko from escaping and punishing her for betraying him, and he needs a caretaker for Tomura. The solution, when he hits on it, is obvious.
Tomura is eleven years old when he is presented with his new caretaker, his Aunt Midorigiri (I am not sure whether I am using the idea that Inko is Shimura Nana’s daughter, but it’s a neat idea). Once again, I am referring to the original AU being remixed with both the name and the idea of the end product of her Nomufication. Unlike Kurogiri, she is genuinely made of mist without a physical body, due to the process being rather more advanced by the time she was subjected to it, and while it does feel like cheating to have her be capable of the same variety of portal-creating as Kurogiri, I would like to point out that that wasn’t part of Shirakumo’s Quirk either, and was probably grafted on. She appears quite insubstantial, and people go straight through her - I may add the detail that one of the Quirks used in the process was a poison gas Quirk, to explain the green gaseous form and as an additional means of defence. She can manifest a humanoid shape out of green mist, and usually does, but her memories of her life before are, while still present, quite vague, making it hard to identify the form she chooses.
Her voice is still the same, though. Which leads to an absolutely terrifying moment at the USJ when she addresses the fleeing Class 1-A and two students recognise that voice.
“Auntie Inko?”
“Mum?”
AFO!Izuku
Alright so I was watching a... comic? (Yes, watching, as in watching it in yt) idk about Izuku having AFO and accidentally stealing Bakugou's quirk which led to the Midoriya's leaving Japan and going overseas with Hisashi, who happened to be All For One, so this idea came to me as a different take on Vigilante borderline Villain Deku.
(sorry for every mistake you may see here, english is not my native language)
AU in which AFO is Izuku's dad and Izuku inherited AFO, thus leading to him taking quirks from his peers when he was a child because he didn't know how to 'turn it off', which then led to him not having a lot of friends because the rest of the kids were afraid he might try to steal their quirks indefinitely. He went overseas with his family to try and 'forget' about what happened and maybe get a better hand at controlling Liability, his quirk.
Once he's back in Japan, after AFO v AM fight (the first one) news broke out about The Greatest Villain™ having a heir somewhere around the world (which the people would be confused about, but not the villains, THEY KNOW about the Lord of the Underground, they've heard the rumours, so) so word spreads about Izuku without no one knowing is about him exactly, but Bakugou Remembers, he never forgot about 'the Deku who steals quirks' which would be really difficult to evade, given the fact that Katsuki is the powerhouse he is in canon and pretty much everyone hates him, fears him or fawns over.
With this in mind, Izuku knows there's no way for him to become a Hero, not if he wants to be recognized as All For One's son, so his best route to achieve his dream is by doing it out of the law, being a Vigilante.
By this point either way his view of the Hero Society is more wide open, HE KNOWS the difficults of having a quirk that doesn't fit society's standards, HE KNOWS how hard it is to be viewed as the "bad one" for something you didn't have control over, HE KNOWS people would judge you based on literal bullshit if they can, so he doesn't risk it, he can't risk it for his mom, for the safety and the love Inko needs after "losing" his husband.
(they both are very aware of who Hisashi was and Inko is heartbroken, so Izuku doesn't want to make it harder for her by going out on full display on UA by wanting something that doesn't belongs to him)
This leads to him wanting desperately a change, to go out an Do Something for those like him, for those who are ignored by the ones who only wish more recognition, for those who, like him, were casted aside as "liabilities" for the Society.
He wants to be an All Might of sorts, but a little more... Discreet. Without the big announcement, the smile, the 'bunny ears'. He takes more after Eraserhead.
So, he becomes 'Reprise', a vigilante (criminal for those Good Ones™) who goes 'berserk' at night, beating up all types of Real Criminals, going from drug dealers to genuine Villains, freeing neighborhood after neighborhood and doing what some pros are supposed to do.
He takes the quirks of those who he despises, those who he thinks are the worst of the worst. With them, he doesn't hold back, he ambushes them, takes them off guard and takes their quirks as soon as he can.
It's a little bit like Stain, without the murder and the intensity, but he does share a bit of his ideals, mostly when it cames down to the 'True Heroes' and all that jazz.
News start to spread about the new 'villain' going around beating others just for fun, which leads to other villains wanting to prove themselves by conquering the 'Mad V', thus leading to those same villains ending up without a quirk and a wake up call.
(He's not directly involved with UA and the stuff happening to Class 1A, just briefly jumping in to stop Stain and saving Iida's life (IIDA'S LIFE, unfortunately that doesn't change the fact that Iida's entire life/career changed after that, the Hero Killer achieving his goal of damaging him forever))
With word on the street about a new vigilante doing 'God's Work' and defeating Villain after villain, the rumours make their way into UA halls and the police force, alerting Tsukauchi and Nedzu, which eventually leads to Bakugou knowing about it and having his suspicions.
(Neither Bakugou nor Izuku have encountered each other since the day Izuku left for America, so that)
Now about his appearance, he doesn't have the typical Gucci Eyebags for having insomnia, no. He does have the Gucci Eyebags for going around beating villains so late at night.
He IS a bit different regarding his looks, he DOES has his messy hair, but with an undercut (bc only God knows how much I love Undercut!Izuku), and tends to wear normal clothes. In short, he's not far from Canon Izuku but he's definitely different.
He's not the sad depressed snarky Izuku we love to see in fanfics, no. He's more compossed, polite, kind, but he is a loner, tends to stay in the corner of the room to try and get a hang of his surroundings. He's that kind of anime guy who is serious, has a few friends/classmates that he's friendly with, and mostly evades spotlight. He's not depressed, he's angry at the world for being unfair and angry at himself for allowing the world to hurt him.
That changes when he is Reprise. He becomes this violent vigilante who wants to make a change, who goes out at night to pick fights and steal quirks and do what the Pros don't. He's snarky, sarcastic, rude, he talks back and throws insults around the street as if nothing. He's not afraid of getting injured, he welcomes the pain as a reminder, a reminder that he's doing something and that Something is making other people feel safe and protected.
The Night is Still Young tends to be his catchphrase.
He actually goes with a therapist.
He continues writing his notebooks about quirks and pros, and even villains. He has a whole pack of them with all the quirks he has taken, how they function and how to improve them.
He goes to a well-known high school for Geniuses and Prodigies with interests in sports, maths, sciencies and the like, even those who want to make a living in the support drpartment goes there.
He thinks his fort is his Mind.
((I don't think I have to point it out, but his meeting with All Might & the Sludge Villain doesn't happen in this au.))
(Shigaraki is well aware of his existence, he doesn't know it's Izuku until Reprise tries to ambush him. Shigaraki's thrilled with the rumours about a heir of AFO running around ruining business, so he would obviously want to meet him at some point and maybe try and recruit him, convince him to join his Father's side.)
His first real, face-to-face encounter with Katsuki and the rest of Class 1A (some of them at least) happens during Kamino.
Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, Uraraka and Tsuyu are the ones who rescue him SOMEHOW, i'm not going into details because I can't think of them right now, but THEY saved Bakugou.
It's when the news about a creature created by the LOV broke out that he found out about his dad's survival. So he tries to gain information by breaking in the police's archives (thanks to a friend of his who happened to be a hacker) which led to him finding out about the upcoming raid at the LOV base, but he's Izuku, he KNOWS his dad, he KNOWS the type of man Hisashi is.
So, while the League of Villains location is there, he doesn't goes there. He makes an investigation of his own, finding clues, proof, following people. Using common sense, he finds the Warehouse where his dad is supposed to be.
Only, he doesn't makes it that far. He's scouting the area of Kamino, walking around aimlessly, praying that the raid goes well so the Pros can leave it there and continue pursuing fame so he can go to that same Warehouse and confront his dad and maybe throw a few punches and cry a few tears when all Hell breaks loose.
There's a thunderous tremor around him and the screens lights up and there's All Might, in all his glory (he's not a hardcore fan anymore btw) standing in front of a terrifying villain, and suddenly Izuku is very, very scared.
And so, he watches. His heart is in his throat, ready to be thrown up as his Dad fights against the man he used to look up to. He watches as All Might buries All For One into the ground like an unused toy, and he's a mess, he's crying alongside the other people, but he cries for his dad, for the man that he loved so much, and there's this feeling of bitterness in the pit of his stomach that he wants to ignore so desperately.
So he turns around and starts walking again. He remembers his dad, working with him and helping him to control his quirk, giving him the best hugs of the world, cheering him up when he was feeling like a waste of space. He remembers the loving husband and father that Hisashi used to be and he's feeling really miserable when he stops abruptly and looks up to find Bakugou just a couple of meters ahead of him.
The rest of the rescue squad is there, too. They're looking from Bakugou to Izuku really puzzled because the firecracker they know is eerily silent and this boy is just there, face blank with just a little bit of puffiness in his eyes.
So Bakugou, a witness to all the madness from that night in Kamino, with pent up frustration and anger, goes completely blank with emotions and calls him Deku, demands for answers to questions such as 'the hell are u doin here?' 'are you with them?' 'are you playing hero again, uh, fucking Deku?'
And Deku's just there, overwhelmed by grief, because he lost his dad in what he suspects is national television, and he knows his mom is probably at home, probably saw everything. He knows Inko is just as heartbroken as he is, and that hurts like hell because it's his Mom, his everything, the one person that holds importance in his heart that he has left.
And seeing Bakugou at that exact moment, it's too much, he's emotionally incapable to deal with him of all people at that very moment. So he just. Can't.
He looks at Bakugou, he looks at him, and says "you haven't changed anything, Kacchan" and Izuku completely ignores him, keeps walking as if nothing happened, as if it isn't a blonde pomeranian screaming after him to 'stop looking down at him, you fucking freak'.
(when he makes it home he tells his mom he was in Kamino when everything happened, and Inko starts crying real hard, and Izuku too, and everything is a mess)
After his Dad's defeat, he starts attacking Pros, mercilessly and ruthlessly, but only those who deserves it, those who he thinks have failed at doing their jobs of protecting people.
Tsukauchi is desperate to capture him, wanting to bring an end to the 'Heir of the Underground' as people, mainly villains, are calling him after AFO is brought down and the similarities between AFO and Reprise are pointed out. He knows that if he leaves him on the loose for too long, there's no turning back, Tsukauchi knows what's on the line for him and is afraid FOR Izuku, knows he can become a target later on, or he can take over his Dad's Empire and be worst.
He doesn't know is Izuku, and even if Bakugou is having a crisis over Reprise and everything going on around him (because of course is Deku, it's always been Deku) he can't go and tell them, he doesn't has proof, only memories from when he was a kid and a very obvious dislike of Midoriya Izuku.
So Bakugou buries Izuku and Reprise to the back of his mind and concentrates in his own shit, the internships and the provisional license and that jazz.
(I always saw a lot of hc about how everything changed for class 1A without Deku there. So I'm taking this too and a few others things. Can't remember where I saw them tbh but all credits to their rightful owners)
Not all of them, Class 1A that is, got their license, just a few lucky ones, but a great deal of them failed. They aren't that motivated nor are That strong. USJ changed them, showed them a truth they weren't expecting this early, and losing Iida just reminded them that.
Overhaul Arc it's the same, except that, in the middle of the battle against him, when Mirio was fighting Chisaki and protecting Eri, Reprise showed up and took Overhaul's quirk right after he shoot Mirio.
(Mirio, who had Permeability. Mirio, who had One For All. He loses both of his quirks.)
At this point, and with overhaul newly added to his collection with a few others, Izuku is mostly invincible. The chaotic vigilante he used to be becomes fierce, a force to be reckoned with, so when Tsukauchi hears about Reprise getting overhaul, he warns ALL of the Pros to be careful at encountering him.
The Hero Comission WARNS EVERY AGENCY that, in case of coming face to face with Reprise, they have to flee inmediately or suffer the consequences, which are losing their quirks and having to step down from being pros.
It becomes a really bad situation, with fear striking every Pro present, much more so after losing the Symbol of Peace, which leads to a vulnerability in those afraid of losing everything and leaving unprotected a few places, or outright giving up the title of Pro.
Everything comes down to the fateful meeting of Shigaraki and Izuku.
Shigaraki knows there's malice in Reprise, he knows he felt that pain too when All For One was captured, that's why he's going against Pros now, and he plans to use every ounce of that pain to bring him by his side.
Liability (Reprise) of Lorde was a huge inspiration tbh
MSAxBNHA AU
After stopping the slime monster All Might doesn't go after Izuku. The kid has the heart and the mindset, but All Might was the strongest hero in the world and now he's condemned a to slow painful death as his body deteriorates. Being a hero is a dance with death and he wasn't to see that brave and kind soul snuffed out so young.
 What he doesn't realize is his words about Izuku not being able to be a hero without a quirk did what over a decade of bullying failed to. He broke Izuku's spirit. And Inko doesn't know what to do. She doesn't know how to help her son, feels like she never knew how to help him, so she tried for a Hail Mary. There’s a trinket said to belong to a great spirit that once swore to help her family. A small metal tag with a hole on the top and a stylized question mark. She lights incense and prays for the spirit to help her son. The lights flicker and she sees the silhouette of a massive nine tailed form that vanishes, leaving behind a small white dog where yellow tinted pince-nez. "Hello Inko,  daughter of Vivi, daughter of Mushi. What can I do for you?"
The logical part of her brain wants to deny whats in front of her is a spirit. Animals with quirks were rare but not unheard of. But this is the only thing she can think of, her last hope, so she forges ahead. She tells the dog about her son's love of heroes. Of how 80% or the worlds population, almost 100% of the younger generation has some kind of superpower. Of how her son doesn't. How he strived to be a hero, studied every hero no matter how big or small. How he was bulled for not having a quirk and the teachers would look the other way. How he never gave up until the man he looked up to above all others told him he couldn't be a hero, confirmed in his mind the years of being told he was worthless. And she begged this being that looked like a dog but wasn't to help her son, that's she'd pay any cost-
"Never say that," The creature said sharply. "There are those who would take you up on it."
Inko frowned stubbornly So much like Vivi "For my son, I'd give anything."
 "And if they asked for his life or soul? You'd already said anything, you'd have to comply."
Inko's hands flew to her mouth as the color drained from her skin.
"I would never ask that of you," The creature said, a warm kindness in his voice, though his tone was still firm. "But others would. I merely want you to not make such risky statements where another might take advantage. Tell me Inko, do you have a box that's been passed down from your family? A metal box with English writing a little over a meter in length?"
Inko knew the box he meant. She had inherited along with the tag that summoned him. "It's in the attic."
"Let's get it then. What's in the box should help your son more than I could.".
Inko shakily gets to her feet and leads the way. She dusts the box off so the letters are visible. 'Yukino' is written in kanji on the top.  There's two words in English too, she'd translated them on a lark while she was studying for her degree in library science. Pepper on the right and Kingsmen of the left.  What 'From Snow' had to do with a fruit or a King's guard she didn't know; no one had ever been able to open the box.
The thing that certainly wasn't a dog lightly touched it with his paw and it sprang open. Inside was what seemed to be an old metal baseball bat covered in ofuda. Beneath it was a star pin, a set of violet tinted glasses, and a golden heart shaped locket. The beast blew lightly on the three objects on the bottom. "Vivi, Lewis, Arthur. It's time to wake up, Your great-great granddaughter and great-great-great grandson need you."
At first it seems nothing happens. Then the items being to spark. The golden locket is the first to rise in the air, purple fire forming a massive skeletal figure. Then a powder of delicate blue ice pushes up the glasses and form a more petite one. The star takes a few tries, false starts before the electricity forms into a much more lanky skeleton, one arm glowing unnaturally. And for the first time Inko fears she's made a mistake. She doesn't know what these powers she's courted are. What if they're dangerous? What if they hurt her Izuku?
"Look at you!" The blue themed skeleton hovered over her in glee. "You have to tell me about yourself. What's your favorite color? Is it green? What do you do for fun? Wait, Mystery implied you had a son? What's he like? Do you have a husband? A Wife? Both?"
"Vivi, chill. You might want to put on your face. You're scaring our granddaughter." True to his word the lanky one shimmered and suddenly seemed much more human. A Caucasian man with blonde spiked hair.
He approached Inko much more slowly. "My name is Kingsman Arthur. You may not have heard of me, but I'm your couple of times great grandfather. This is my wife, Vivi, and our husband, Lewis." The last skeleton, who'd taken on the appearance of a dark skinned man bowed.
Inko bowed back, still a little shakily.
"None of that." The exuberance had left Vivi's voice, instead leaving a soft gentle tone. "You're family, Inko-chan. You have nothing to fear from any of us. We're here to help, whatever you need."
"Shouldn't you not offer open ended things?"
 "You learn quickly." The not-dog commended. "Obviously not a trait you picked up from any of these three."
"Shut it furball," Vivi said, albeit with a note of teasing in her voice. "And technically you're correct, but Mystery wouldn't have awoken us if you had less than pure intentions. So what do you need that he couldn't help with?"
"My son's dream was shattered yesterday and it feels like his spirit died with it. I don't know how to help and people have a history of not taking him seriously." She'd lost track of how many times she'd been told 'quirkless people are just a little more fragile' along with a shrug when she'd brought him in with an injury.  Of being told 'he has to learn to accept facts' when she confronted the teachers over the bullying he received for being quirkless. As if to society her son was worth less for his lack of quirk when he meant the world to her. Her hands balled angrily. "Izuku is selfless, brave, and intelligent. He risked his life to save someone who had bullied him, when the authorities were frozen in fear. Only for him to be berated by the professional heroes while his childhood bully is praised for his bravery and told he had what it takes to be a professional hero when all he did was get captured and destroy half the shopping district with the same quirk he's used to hurt my boy."
 She looked at them with fierce determination, tears streaming from her eyes.  "I want my son to be happy. I want him to thrive. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me and he deserves better than to believe not having a quirk means he has no worth."
"Let's introduce ourselves to him then." Arthur said casually. "What? We have to talk to him if we're going to help. Remember how well not talking to each other about important things went? It went bad is how it went."
“Bad is an understatment,” Lewis agreed.
"Mom, are you okay? I thought I heard voices..." Izuku's voice trailed off as he saw two strange men in his attic along with a floaty skull lady. He felt himself tense. If these were villain trying to rob his house-
"Oh my gosh, he's got freckles just like you did at that age Artie!" The skull lady flew over to him “Remember Lew?"
"How could I forget, he was adorable." Lewis said shaking his head. "But you really need to put on your face dear."
"Who are you people, what do you want?" Izuku was scanning the rooms, trying to find the best way to get his Mom to safety. If only he knew their quirks.
"They're, well, they're you grandparents Izuku.” Inko explained. “Grandmother Vivi, and Grandfathers Arthur and Lewis."
"A few greats need to be thrown in there, but yeah." Arthur sheepishly put one hand behind his head. "I guess you can say we're family guardians. Your mother summoned us to help you."
"Help me, with what?"
 "That's what we were finding you to discuss." The blue skull lady now had a face. "Tell us what happened, Izuku-kun."
Izuku looked at his Mom. "This is about yesterday isn't it. I just got a wake up call to reality, that's all."
 "Bullshit." Vivi said brightly. "Try the whole story."
Izuku was taken aback.  "Well, I mean, we live in a superhuman society. Eighty percent or more of the world has some kind of super power."
 "Really?" he heard who he took to be Grandfather Arthur whisper to a dog he hadn't noticed before, The dog nodded.
"And with that came the rise of heroes on villains. And when I was a child, I wanted more than anything else to be a hero. Especially a Hero like All Might. He's amazing! His sheer power is incredible. He saves so many people and no matter hope bad the situation is, he always smiles. He brings hope to everyone. I wanted to be just like him. But...I didn't have the power. Since I was four everyone told me becoming a hero was a pipe dream, but I thought if I worked hard enough, studied hard enough, I could do it. I even sent in an application for UA, the best Hero school in the world but-" Like his mother, tears were beginning to stream down Izuku's cheeks. "Yesterday I met All Might. He saved me from a villain. And I asked him if I could be a hero how I was and he-he said no." Izuku swiped his arm across his eyes. "I shouldn't be surprised, right? It was obvious. And I caused even more trouble when I tried to save Kaachan from that villain."
"And again I say Bullshit." Vivi cut in. "From what your mother told us, you were the only one who was willing to help while the so-called heroes sat on their collective asses. That makes you more of a hero than they'll ever be."
Izuku wasn't sure how that made him feel. The reassurance was nice, but it still felt a bit empty. So he had the spirit of a hero, but not the body? What good would that do?
"You mentioned a school. Is that the only method of becoming a hero?" Grandfather Lewis asked.
"Well, technically you only need to pass the licensing exam, but it's almost impossible to get through on self-study. There are other schools, but UA is the best with the highest pass rate. You need to do a written and a practical to get into the hero course, and no one knows what the practical is."
"So we need to get you into the school first. What's your power kiddo? Need to know what we're working with."
Izuku stiffened at Grandmother Vivi's question. He'd thought they'd known.  "I don't have any power. I'm quirkless." He braced himself, Waited for the 'what are you wasting our time for' that every guidance councilor had given him.
"Oh that's what that means." Arthur nodded. "So you're gonna Batman it."
"Batman it?" Izuku was as baffled by the phrase as the fact that hearing he was quirkless hadn't dissuaded them in the least
"You don't know who Batman is?" Arthur sounded aghast.
"It's been decades if not centuries, Art." Lewis reminded him
"Batman is forever." Arthur grumbled.
"Was that the movie with the nipples on the costume?" Vivi asked with a grin.
"Anyway"  Lewis turned the attention back to Izuku. "In our time, before superpowers were apparently a real thing, we had comic book characters and one of the most famous was a hero named Batman. There were multiple comic books, cartoon series, and movies abut him. One of the biggest debates was if Batman would win against Superman, a being so powerful he was night invulnerable and strong enough to change the planet's rotation. And do you know what Batman's superpower was?"
Something Bat themed, huh. "Maybe echolocation? One at a frequencey that could disorient even the Superman guy?"
"This Superman guy?!" Arthur explained in disbelief.
 Lewis grinned. “Nope. He was, as you would put it, quirkless. Not a single superpower to him. Just cunning, creativity, a bunch of gadgets, and an indomitable will."
"And martial arts training." Vivi reminded.
"And a really cool car," Arthur added.
Lewis rolled his eyes. "The point is, superpowers aren't what being a hero is really about. Batman didn't need them. Neither did Ironman, Black Widow, or Hawkeye. So if you want to be a hero, we're going to help."
"Right." Vivi nodded. "Lewis can handle physical training, he was in the best shape of all of us in life.  I can teach you melee combat with fists or a baseball bat. I know a little sword work, but you'd probably be better off with actual lessons. Arthur can do free running and strategy.  I don't know how much we can help with the written test though, our knowledge is too out of date. Inko-chan could you help him study for that?"
Inko was taken aback for a moment. She didn't know what she expected the spirits to do, besides possibly give her son a quirk of some kind. But they didn't need him to have a quirk to believe his dream  and supported him without questions. The way she wished she had done when he was four. "I...of course I can! I'm a librarian. I can find whatever books Izuku needs to help."
"Speaking of books, we have another option on the table." Mystery said with a smirk. "Quirks have been all the rage for a century and a half. Magic is all but forgotten. It would be something almost no one would have access to. Between Vivi and myself there is a fair amount of occult knowledge we could impart."
"Magic is real? You're offering to teach me magic?" This was a dream, it had to be. There was no way this was real.
"Yes. But we have a mere ten months before your exam.  Your schedule will be packed to the gills with little time for levity. It won't be easy. I may not be able to guarantee  you'll get in on the first try. But I promise you this. With all of us helping, you will be a hero."
All his life Izuku had craved hearing that he could be a hero. The sheer assurance that he would be one was almost more than he could take. "Thank you! I won't let you guys down."
 The three ghosts and kitsune smiled. "Of that we have no doubt."
