For some reason the thing that’s stuck in my head, is idea of SoC AU where either Kaz or Inej is blind.

And I can’t decide which one, because both have their advantages.

Like:

Kaz being blind and feeling when people are near him or trying to touch him. And him also being able to figure out who is near him. Also he’s able to sense Inej and figure out her mood based on her breathing and the way she sounds when she walks. He asks her to be his eyes and describe what things around look like.

Or:

Inej being blind and running on pure instincts and intuition. Being guided by her saints and Kaz. She can detect people by their breathing. And also while she was captured by Van Eck he threatened her with being left in the dark all alone without any sounds, and when he did it, Inej laughed him in the face, and didn’t stop until he ran out of the room. He didn’t know that she used to spend weeks in complete silence in the “menagerie”.

Also them fighting would be much more terrifying.
