if you’re smaller than him he’ll for sure lend you certain things to wear if they cover you up well enough, he knows just about every nook and cranny in the city to hide in whenever your features decide to make a guest appearance

like if you’re ever just walking down a street then your antenna poke out, he’s very fast to act and doesn’t make a big deal out of it

now you either just chill in an alley together or start making your way home through the intricate backstreets miles can effortlessly navigate

im gonna be honest roz is having a bad time right now

i think i've been pretty clear about this but i think it's time i made a dedicated post about how bad of a time roz is having as of early act 3, because we kind of left off on a high in act 2 and it's been all downhill from there. so let's summarize. roz enjoyers, read on.

first the act starts with the emperor reveal. this is fucked in and of itself, not just because roz is a githyanki and the emperor is a mindflayer keeping their prince subdued, but because it is confirmation that they have trusted and sacrificed for someone who has been lying to them, and they're kind of locked into a dynamic with him that they don't know how to untangle themself from (more on this in an upcoming post). especially since....

they're partial-illithid, and not by choice. this is the real trigger of basically everything that comes next, at least regarding their emotional state. this is the thing that makes them feel violated and isolated and like they can't talk to anyone, and is the real heart behind the insecurity they're bringing to everything else.

astarion really wants to do the ritual, and it is becoming increasingly clear that that's a terrible idea. everything they learn about it implies more and more that it's going to require doing something monstrous (because of course) and that it's going to change astarion in ways neither of them can predict. please look at the point above. roz is not really stoked about changes they can't predict or control right now.

but... even though they think it's a terrible idea to go through with the ritual, astarion really wants to. and while roz has trouble saying no at the best of times, theyre definitely not in a good state to do it now, especially since astarion is pulling out all the stops with the "manipulative boyfriend" bingo he seems to be playing. paralyzing fear of abandonment + targeted manipulation + intense insecurity = a not great roz

all of this is of course also compounded by the fact that because of where astarion is emotionally (namely, terrified that cazador is going to whisk him away and use everything he cares about against him), astarion is also not exactly forthcoming with the touchy-feely stuff either, so roz is getting absolutely no feedback from him that like... they matter to him, and that he isn't one of the many, many people who seem to be using them.

and then, halsin propositions them. and while i stand by everything i said in my long meta post about the polymance being good, actually, for roz specifically in this exact moment, i think they're saying yes more out of a desire to be desired and to just turn off their brain and do what someone else wants, and less because they think this is a good idea right now. halsin is a great guy who makes them feel safe, but they are not in a headspace to properly make a decision on this but... well. they did.

and raphael and the emperor (and soon gortash, i believe) are playing tug-of-war with roz's loyalties and roz is basically being forced to decide which Terrible Guy to trust for more than two seconds. because even if they don't trust any of them, one of them has to protect them from their tadpole long enough to actually stop the world from ending.

oh, and because it shouldn't be overlooked: they are being tasked with saving the world.

basically at this point every time i play i'm just thinking "is this the moment they have a terrible mental break down? is this the moment they have a terrible mental break down?" it's like pulling an elastic too far. they're going to have to snap sometime, right?

Arguably one of the strongest character building episodes in the entire series, The Daisho Caper is fantastically unique in its motivations, gorgeous scenery and animation, and subversion of expectations. I’m so ready for this unique and spectacular episode. LET’S GET IT GOING!!!!

I love this infodump section so much. It’s really beautiful and super unique in that it starts the episode and also happens in a flashback (almost everything about this episode is unique?? From singing to a rejected redemption arc there are lots of things in this episode that never happen again

just another little tiny clue that shadowsan knows more than he lets on about her past. why would he be guilty about simply not knowing where she came from? if his cover story was true, he would if anything be carmen's savior from a terrible death or being picked up by some random people or something. just. god really good.

MAN what a fantastic scene. he does exactly what shadowsan asks him to- does not forgive him, because he does not yet see a reason to. but he allows him to correct that mistake. what . god what a good rejection of a redemption shadowsan HASN'T redeemed himself (fully) yet it just makes sense

mmm when he appears from behind her and her spidey senses go off. its good shit

just that emotion on her face. she's sympathetic that his brother didn't accept him back, but happy that he'll still go with them on their journey.

now, this is the only time we get a voiceover from carmen (other than when she's talking to crackle in the pilot) and its such a stark choice. like the only time we ever really get an inner monologue from carmen that lets us know how she feels about it

everything about this episode is just so fantastic and different! cs thrives when it dives into character motivations...but it just doesn't do that very much. there are so many unique choices in the episode- from the untraditional infodump scene to the music to the gorgeous animation/lighting to the voiceover to the rejected redemption scene to the hints at shadowsan's true past with carmen...i could keep going on and on about it forever, but I won't. you've seen the episode. its just. argh. its so good

Anyway i actually have so much trouble thinking of anything for gustavo ever lmao. Everything i have for him I've adopted from other people; rem [brickattack] as mentioned on the big post, and @synthlet/softersynths for a lot of other things. [and a couple others too but iirc synths was the one who started those ppl on it as well gfjdjds] which is to say, you'd probably get better/more interesting answers from those guys :p but yeah, fp and gus are pretty close. It's the general exposure/familiarity, the fact that fp is just a happy/pleasant and easy-to-like dude personality-wise, and for gus specifically there's also a level of "he shares a lot of traits with peppino, without peppino's Baggage™"

that last point is very very interesting but i dont know if i'd Actually get to doing a lot with it bc i typically make fake pep His Own Guy, with his similarities to peppino being almost sort of coincidental. i really really really like coming at peppino and fake pep from the "equals and opposites" angle, which like, that Can still apply for that last bit abt gus, but it's not something i've put a lot of thought into. it's also just fuckin hard to articulate outside of just showing it lmao. [i mentioned like, predator/prey animal nervousness + their reactions to fear vs aggression on the other post but to pull one for here: fake pep still has his own brand of Baggage to deal with too--different stuff than peppino's--but fp is way more open about it when it comes up as opposed to peppino having 50 fuckin walls about everything.

besides that, i also see a lot of general banter about gus being a very Nature Guy™ who likes to find beauty in all the weird fucked up shit nature does [especially in a world as cartoony as theirs], which i enjoy a lot bc girl same. fp may be the farthest thing from natural, but i certainly think there is a lot of beauty to be found in his fucked-up-ness. and i'm sure gustavo sees it too.

and then a fun one i've come into pretty recently for them is that they both care abt peppino a lot, but peppino is very bad at...being cared for. so because you can rarely approach pep directly about anything if it involves vulnerability [again: 50 fuckin walls], and because they both know him very well in different ways and can get through to him about different things, they end up working together a lot in sort of a conspiratory way. plotting scheming etc. 'have you noticed anything wrong lately + how are we going to help this guy out today', that sort of thing. the idea there can go a lot of ways but i'm partial to them using like goofy cartoon antics to set him up for something that'll be beneficial to him. [also brick is in on it too technically but brick is a rat and therefore only sapient when it's funny.] peppino rarely realizes what theyre doing until it's too late. get loved idiot

TANGENTIAL. DONT even get me started on the angst oh my god. you. i am pointing at you you made me think about this. i am not usually one who likes doing angst or making things excessively bad for the hell of it but. a bitch may be considering. under cut bc its unrelated to gustavo stuff but this is as good an excuse as any to share. [+ also extra thoughts on it bc of COURSE]

so i said that at the end there but then a few hours later i found myself toying around with a script and getting a good way to set it up.... im hoping i hit a roadblock on it and drop it because if i DO end up getting it all the way written i will definitely end up drawing it at some point and that would be uh... a big undertaking. it would also be one of the last ones i do bc there's other stuff i still want to build on, so IF, i cannot stress enough IF i go to make it a thing for real, it won't be this year.

for the bits i have so far though it's interesting how much it's shaping up to be like. a showcase of just how well peppino knows fp. which is surprisingly well? even better than gus, despite gus' being WAY more emotionally perceptive. peppino doesn't engage with fp more than necessary and rarely acts interested in his business, but i do think he spends a lot of time just... observing him. if only because pep is neurotic and anxious and fp is weird and freaky so it is a constant thing of "ok what the hell is this. is this something i need to be worried about?" whenever fp is doing shit, and the answer is always ''no'', but it's the sort of instinct that never leaves you yknow. so he's just very familiar with all fp's mannerisms and reactions and whatnot, even if he doesn't really use that knowledge much.......except when things go south. he's a lot more perceptive of fp acting 'wrong' or 'off' compared to gus, who would just be seeing it on a more normal 'aw he looked upset' kind of level.

i talk a lot abt fp's nervousness but the other negative thing that's just as strong with him is frustration. it doesn't usually get to him too bad, and he doesn't really show it around people outside of the occasional eyeroll; but it's stuff like not being able to communicate properly with anyone and getting constantly [negatively] misinterpreted; knowing he's Kinda Shite at his "purpose" [i.e. being 'better peppino' or whatever] and not being able to do anything about it [i don't think he cares about that much any more but i imagine it's still gotta be a bit annoying to remember]; not getting closure for like Anything that happened at the tower, etc... and while i DON'T think this would be the kind of thing to make him go berserk [i still don't really have any idea or framing for that lol; the script starts off a couple weeks in the aftermath and i pointedly don't do flashbacks], it's definitely the kind of thing that would get exacerbated by isolation. the kind of thing that's easy to focus on and spiral about without anyone to ground him; the kind of thing that could keep him from thinking clearly and he might just need to Take It Out on something after awhile.

peppino remains a terrible mediator but he is wildly resilient and tenacious, and if you need a guy to slap some sense into you... i mean he can very literally do that, and do it better than just about anyone.

Golden Villain Donnie Au Cuz Im An AU Powerhouse

I make an au every five minutes so might as well share my villain Donnie/separated one. Hes kinda misguided and has major Spinel vibes from him. Hes also clingy to Leo and ill get to the reason why.

He was orginally left behind by Splinter when he escaped cuz Splinter didnt realize he dropped him/couldnt go back for him so he grew up with Draxum. Basically raised as the soldier he was supposed to be. He grew up kinda isolated with no one to talk to besides Huginn and Muginn. He also didnt have the best food usually just the bare minimum to keep him alive. He didnt know he had brothers until they broke into Draxum’s lab wit April to save Mayhem. Draxum lied to him and said Lou left him behind on purpose. From that point Donnie starts to drift away from Draxum a bit (not like they were close in the first place but Draxum was the closest thing he had to a father). For a while its Donnie fighting the Mad Dogz while also getting to know them a bit more while fighting. The one peaking his interest the most is Leo that continues to make witty comments and bad jokes and treating Donnie like they’ve always been brothers which confuses Donnie.

And then after a while Donnie started to argue more with Draxum before Draxum says sum outta pocket like iunno “this is the reason Lou abandoned you” and then Donnie realizes Draxum isnt that great. Donnie packs up his tech and runs away to go be a villain on his own yknow turning some abandon place into an evil tech lair. Cue Donnie starting to fight the guys with just him and his tech. He kinda holds a grudge against them out of anger and jealousy that Splinter took them and not him so now he kinda wants to kill em. Later on he kidnaps Leo to lure the other guys there. Don confiscates his sword while Leos in a cell right behind Donnies whole work station. Leo starts talking to him using his charm, Donnie ignores him until he laughs at one of the jokes he told which made Leo smile. Donnie sits in front of the cell actually holding a nice conversation with him. Leo asks how old Donnie and his birthday and Donnie says “14, *insert birthday here*” and then Leos like “omg we have the same age and birthday” and starts saying theyre twins.

This for some reason makes Donnie feel really nice inside and as much as he tried he couldnt fight the wide smile off his face and saying “yeah, twins.” They keep talking until Leo asks why he hates them so much, Don gets upset saying Splinter abandoned him and took them while he was stuck with Draxum. Leo was like “yo bro it din een happen like that” and told him what actually happened. Don started to feel guilty and stood up saying “well youre brothers are probably going to be here anyway to come get you.”. And then Leo pulls his phone (that he somehow still has) and slides it over to Don with a soft smile. Don is bewildered that he just gave his kidnapper his ticket out of here and even more so when he turns it on and sees 25 missed calls from Raph. He looks at Leo and he just says “we worry about them later, lets just keep talking.” And they do for hours completely forgetting the situation just talking about hobbies and things they like. This is where Donnie starts growing an attachment to Leo.

In the middle of their talk Raph, Mikey and April suddenly bust in through the wall. Donnie instantly gets his tech bo ready to fight while Leo tries to call them off but it goes in one earhole and out the other. They start fighting and all that jazz, Mikey gets Leos odachi and then Raph slings Leo over his shoulder and theyre bout to leave. Donnie shouts for Leo and then the guys are gone. Now theyre fighting but its just Donnie trying to get Leo to join him in evil and all that. Donnie then gets the bright idea to just pull up to the sewers and kill em himself. Donnie shows up with shelldon and has shelldown take care of Raph, Mikey and Splinter while Donnie goes to get Leo. Leos like “bro im not boutta fight my own family. So then Donnie starts getting upset cuz he doesnt get why Leo doesnt wanna join him and fight his own family. So like in a showdown between Leo and Donnie Donnie has a full on breakdown and starts fighting him getting angry but literally crying the whole time. Don falls to his knees and Leo drops down to hug him and they stay like that for a few minutes. Don lightly pushes Leo away and shakily calls off shelldon who was *this* close to killing the other three.

Don goes back to hugging Leo, Raph is about to start fighting again when Leo signals them to stop pointing at crying Donnie. Splinter comes closer to Don putting a hand on his shoulder causing him to flinch. Don looked at Splinter, then at Leo who nodded, and then at Splinter again. Splinter just says “Im so happy to see you again my son.” and hugs the two of them and then Don starts crying again. Raph a softens as Mikey beams dragging Raph to join the hug.

The lair isnt that destroyed, its still in pretty good shape just a bit banged up which Donnie will never stop feeling bad for. Donnie got as much stuff as he could from his lab when he got his own lab and room in the lair, though he had to sleep in the same room as Leo for a while. Don is still sarcastic and dramatic just more quiet, shy and emotional. Its no secret Leo’s his favorite brother basically being with him every second of the day. Don still has some bad memories but at least he has a real family to get him through it.

Yeah ik I left out a bunch of stuff that would be good to mention but this is just the gist of it. Feel free to write a fic of this if you wanna, credit me or dont idrc I just wanna see a fic of this.

hiiii my love this has been sitting in the askbox all day cause i wanted to rlly sit down and answer it... finally went to work and did my research project and finished a french assignment so. sitting down for a while. chit chatting. for real though we are in the same space <3 i am a believer in reaching out first! i am! i am perpetually hurt and hurt and hurt when i'm the only one reaching out first but i do believe in it. was talking about this with miffy last night but what rlly stings for me is not getting any response. like they're stressed and they're going through it but they can't take the time to put a little heart react on my "hey i love you i miss you i hope you're doing well" message for Weeks. i think maybe at that point like... in an effort to be nontoxic and reasonable i will say that it's still not someone's fault if they can't get together the effort for that. it's not. but at that point, i don't feel that i can keep spending the effort without seriously draining myself to the point of resenting them or just making myself miserable, and that's where you're so right. you gotta pull away. that's maybe a situation where it's two people who just cannot meet each other's needs and while obviously relationships aren't transactional they do have to be two sided... idk. you might love someone to pieces but if you're not communicating that somehow they're not receiving it. and that's where i reach a point of toxic girlfriend If You Really Loved Me You Would Want Me To Know It.

rambling. anyway absolutely we are in the EXACT same space with pulling ourselves back from things... i spent a lot of my high school years throwing myself wholeheartedly into relationships and putting in tons and tons of emotional labor with absolutely everyone and it had me fucked up but you know what! part of what makes me myself is that i do love being there for people, and i love making people feel safe and heard, and it's part of my love language to go out of my way for someone. so i could've kept doing it and been active listener no. 1 that got all the venting from everyone and doing constant work to make myself a cheery presence online and to be everyone's cheerleader and everyone's older sibling figure and everyone's adoring boyfriend except that with some people who Really counted for me i was getting Nothing back. and it got to a point where it hurt so bad that i pulled myself back entirely for a while and now that i'm starting to really put my Self back into relationships especially online i'm having to do a lot of grabbing my own collar pulling myself back. cause i can tell when i'm putting in effort and effort and effort into a conversation that's just not. warranted. and i know it's going to overextend me and it makes me sad to not put my whole emotional self into relationships with everyone around me but i also know that it won't be good for me? so. trying not to be "i'm always here for you" guy so much and trying not to be "i love you so so so much" guy with people who don't care enough to put the work in for me too in whatever way they do it. and i have people right now who i love SO much who i know love me so much back and i am so happy with that. and thinking about past relationships that i've pulled myself away from makes me a little sad just to know that i had to take myself out of that... but like. you know. you're with me. kissing you we will have people who care enough to Want to and Will. peace and the best to you my love :)

ohh my god theres been so many. but okay i will specifically pull up an example from the server i run. no screenshots cause the conversation was way too long but essentially yakuza has a massive misogyny problem with its female characters (of which there are. barely any). the conversation was specifically about the hostess mechanic, which is this minigame that appears in almost every game where you go to a hostess club and have a date there (a hostess club if ur unaware is basically softcore sex work its paying a woman to talk to you at a club). ofc nothing wrong with hostessing but people were specifically talking about how it was Kind Of Creepy that all the protags are like.... 40+ and all the hostesses / other female love interests are a lot younger.

and then this guy came in saying something along the lines of... if you criticise the way hostesses are objectified in yakuza then actually you hate women and sex workers and youre saying its not a real career .....? NO ONE WAS SAYING THAT. it was really one of those situations where the person was acting like these fictional female characters have their own agency to do sex work and flirt with older men ignoring completely the Old Men Writing The Series. they are not real people making their own decisions these are women written by men. it was bizarre. this guy also eventually said that if you criticise panty shots in anime youre racist or something because "japanese culture is like that" okay.

AT 10 YEARS OLD. like dude shes going to be traumatised you cant just Ignore that for the sake of giving her two dads?

ok im going to sound deranged here but his relationship with mirei. thats the 18 year old i mentioned. a lot of people choose to ignore he did that and like.... i get it its very uncomfortable to accept your favourite dude would prey on a kid like that but like. i feel like it does a disservice to his character to ignore that? it shows how he perpetuates the cycle of abuse and its so incredibly interesting to me but so many people just say "he wouldnt do that!!!!" when like.... yes he would. im sorry but he would.

Wrt last post..

I love the flashfam. Obviously. And i love how freaking many of them there are. Cant go five feet without bumping into a speedster! Theyre buck wild and my overall feeling is heck yeah the more the merrier.

HOWEVER

What i don't love is how it feels like having a kid is the biggest plot device of 2023 for these guys. And this is on top of the already existing kids.

So first off, for me personally, i am not super enthused about children in hero stories. Not because of any moral dilemma, i just find them boring as fuck. No offense to people who prefer stories about babies and families and parenthood. Glad you are thriving, but its just not my thing.

Exception to that is if the child in question is an actual character. For example, Bart was a full on character. And he's one of the best! But unpopular opinion time.. Irey and Jai? I need more convincing (and tbh its mostly jai). Again, thats just my personal tastes, im not saying theres bad writing, im saying that id prefer more substance.

My second problem with bringing in a handful of kids into one story is that they are such a huge obligation to the existing heroes that it has the tendency to pull all storylines over to the kids. And that's purposeful by the writer. Like, its a choice and sure its valid, i just dont like it for every tent pole speedster at the same time. It means the characters you knew and love are forever changed. It means any storylines for months or maybe even years are going to be focused around the new children.

I do want to see growth and progression for my favorite characters, but i feel like especially for the flashes right now thats only coming from being married and having a family, and its frustrating bc im over here like these are not the only way to find value in your life. You arent less of a person or empty or missing out or on a wrong path if you dont have kids. So it irks me that thats the direction right now.

And like maybe this is petty but sometimes i want to see the existing heroes i know and love having their own goofy adventures. Now theyve either got to bring their kids along, or the writer has to find reasons to leave them behind. Like say Barry and Iris have their twins (thats what's happening right? Idek) and Barry goes on some adventure, then storywise Iris and kids stay back home. They're props at that point. They're only there as supporting pieces for Barry. This is me being jaded about it, so i mean hopefully that's not the way itd go.

Anyway, im going to start circling my arguments so i should end this. My point is, i dont really want to read about kids, but heroes having them permanently changes the way the hero's story must be written. It locks the narrative in in a way im not crazy about, and married with children is not the only/default way for a character to grow and find value.

I cant believe i've done 30 days of this. O.o

Short cause I fell behind!!! Sorry guys!!

In a world where magic is rare, and science reigns, beings of magic live in hiding, lest you have a death wish.

Virgil didnt mind the solitude that came with hiding, it could be lonely sure, but people were so… ugh. They made Virgils skin crawl, and his head ache, and his heart beat wildly in his chest. He hates how overwhelming they were, how much he had to think about, just too much.

Besides there was plenty to keep him occupied here. Magical beings to randomly catch sight of, plants to take care or, spiders to watch spin webs, traps and barriers to make up. M would come by with baked goods sometimes, L always had a book recommendation, P and Dk were good for entertainment- and a headache- and Dee could be good for gossip if you spoke his language- which Virgil did.

Not to say that he actually partook in those last parts willingly or often. He was the recluse of the recluses, the anti in social, and the creep in creepy- yeah he was not good at this…

The point of the matter was, today he wanted to be alone, and the storm clouds gathering outside were proof enough. So when noises came from outside, Virgils already sour mood for the day worsened further. Leave it to Dk to choose today to mess with him, he was not in the mood.

He opens the door to yell, only for his world to go dark.

His scalp burns, finger nails clawing his skull as the strands are roughly fisted and used to pull him from his cage. Its not the first time-and he's sure he'll be bald soon enough- but it hurts none the less as his bruised and bloodied body is dragged across hard stone floor.

This is the fate no magical creature wants to face, the one you tell children to scare them. Virgil had taken more precautions than any of the others, he knew exactly what could and did happen to magics caught by these monsters in human skin. He had scars to prove it…

To be back in the hands of 'scientists' that claimed to be bettering society by torturing Virgils people, was a nightmare come to life. But he supposed his precautions did one thing. No one else was taken or seen. The others were safe, and if they were smart- and L at least was- they'd move somewhere far away. That gives Virg a little peace at least.

His arms are forced this way and that, bound to the table as he struggles in vain against the rough treatment. Up until now, it was tests and poking and prodding, to try and garner what Virgil was. They of course couldnt know, they could claim some silly name sure, but they'd never truly know what they all were, what they represent. Virgil supposed, dying here wouldnt do much. If it had been any of the others, the world as they know it would be in danger, but a world without Virgil? Everyone hated him anyway, so it had to be for the better right?

They come towards him with a syringe and too long needle. His struggles renew, squirming this way and that as a million thoughts fly through his head of just what that thing contained. A 'hold him still' is mumbled and strong meaty fingers push his head to the side and force his chest still. He breaths heavily with panic as the needle gets closer and closer-

He screams.

"He's in here!"

sdkfjk i think this is abt tangent au? anyways pulls out a chair before we get started im going to talk for 2 hours about elektra natchios bc i promise it's relevant /j

i'm not sure when or if i will end up writing this as an actual fic and in which case everything i say will probably be spoilers but fuck it i don't believe in spoilers anyways

ok i mean there's a lot. that i could say but yknow what i'll elaborate more on the lmanberg story. it's. well ok at the barebones it's a year one for tangent!Wilbur Soot.

the backstory (that wilbur himself does not remember) is that he's Philza (prominent superhero in Aether City) son and like 5(?) years ago he was killed getting caught up in a supervillain plot. got completely blown up. Also Phil is a nonhuman entity- an angel by earth terms, but technically the High Host are an alien race (like the New Gods of DC). Phil came to Earth and eventually had Wilbur, who inherited most of but not all of his father's non-human traits. So. Yeah. Aliens.

And then he got resurrected in L'Manberg by Dream for yet to be revealed reasons

Wilbur chose the last name "Soot" for himself post-resurrection because the smoke and ash from the explosion that killed him is one of the only thing he remembers.

The rest of the current main cast of wilbur's year one / lmanberg arc is: Fundy, Tubbo, Quackity, and Schlatt.

Fundy is. Okay wait I wrote out bios for everyone in my notebook. Junior in high school, STEM kid, he's family friends with the Nihachu's and way way back when he was smaller Niki used to be his babysitter and then when he got older Niki was his friend and now Niki's at college but he still hangs out at the Nihachus' bakery where he meets Wilbur. he doesn't have a ton of friends outside of Tubbo and 5up on the robotics club. Hbomb too but H is also at college now. (rip). He lives with his mom, Sally, who is an ecologist and very busy but we don't fault her for that she's doing her best.

Schlatt is the leader of the biggest criminal faction of L'Manberg's underground. He's a powerful dude, with a lot of reach. Even in the city government. I think he gets a scary epithet but i haven't thought of it yet. He's got a plan to gain complete control of the city by creating a force of superpowered agents by activating dormant metahuman genes in regular people. That's. uh. blatantly ripped off from Young Justice but shhhh you don't know that haha. anyways i was gonna name the project Project Cadmus as a mythological reference but Cadmus is a DC thing of course it is so the current candidates are MYRMIDON, LYDIA, COLCHIS, or SPARTAE.

Tubbo and Quackity aren't as backstory heavy but they do have a lot to do when the plot ball starts rolling. Tubbo's a high school senior and Quackity's a law student who's back in L'Manberg for an internship with the city courts. Q walks in on the wrong thing at the wrong time and gets promptly disappeared. cough he may as well be dead as fuck and forcibly receives superpowers via the COLCHIS (name pending) program. Anyways both the nature of his superpower and all the trauma fucks Q up rlly bad and he becomes Chimera, a villain(not really?) with the power to take on the characteristics and capabilities of others except integration is painful and Q loses a bit of himself each time and his power always kills the other guy. and he struggles to control which aspects he takes.

yknow what it's kind of like elektra/the black sky in the defenders tv show. sorry that its becoming increasingly clear that i just tossed a bunch of cool things i liked into a blender to make this au. anyways q is set up to parallel wilbur in the respect that theyre both struggling to grasp their identity after post literal or metaphorical death and resurrection.

meanwhile Tubbo is understandably incredibly upset that his brother is gone and possibly dead? what? no he's not dead he can't be dead. he searches for Q really hard and ends up uncovering a lot about COLCHIS and Schlatt.

ughh

i keep having like? i keep having dreams where my mom protects me and its kind of upsetting me

why is it so frequent? i keep having them where she keeps me safe or says she'll always be here for me, and if its not my mom directly its some motherly figure protecting me. im like GROWN TOO im not a little kid but i always feel like i am, i feel so powerless, helpless, afraid.. and i hide behind my mom because she will keep me safe, right?

this time it was my sister, she was being so fucking mean to me like how she used to, to the point where like. i had to go in this building with her and her bf and she told me to get out of the car real hostile like and i was clearly scared and about to cry and my mom was like hey. we'll go together, okay? and she held my hand and the building? was like this dark like. SOME KIND OF LIQUOR/SMOKE SHOP, it stressed me out and then when my mom came with me it turned into a pretty candy store and she let my sibling get whatever they want but . im too conscious of our money so i didnt get anything before the dream switched

then i was at like? the store owner had these policies ensuring people didnt ABUSE THEIR KIDS in her store, saying like hey. if yr kid tries and steals something, ill catch them, no need to yell at them or get physical. if theyre loud, its alright, theres plenty of other kids here so its probably gonna be loud regardless like. idk it made me really sad cuz that meant she had dealt with it enough to make explicit rules about children being hurt or scared in her building. and immediately my brain knew she was someone i could trust

my family like left but . i got in the car with my moms husband instead cuz i thought they were gonna get in but he drove off too fast and then he was being really reckless and driving into oncoming traffic and shit and it was really scary cuz hes like. ive been in the car with him pulled over by the cops cuz he was speeding before he drives so horribly i feel so unsafe when he drives, and yknow who it makes me think of? my mom, because even if my mom has bad road rage, shes safer than him

the car crashed obviously and i was hurt and scared and i just wanted my mom and i managed to make it back to the candy store cuz it had like a proper daycare section now i guess?? and i dont know. my moms bf was like unhinged and i. ive had too many dreams where im afraid of him, afraid of what he'll do. i made it back to the place and i guess the kids there were also scared cuz they knew he was gonna come back and the lady was like reassuring us and she said that no ones getting hurt here, and that shes gonna do everything in her power to keep us safe

idk it made me feel good that like. even though i was obviously an adult she was still there to comfort me and assure me cuz i was fucking scared, just like the kids were i was terrified and she didnt exclude me from that safety

i think i have mommy issues guys 💀💀 i dont know why i keep having these dreams. maybe being neglected as a child makes you grow up too fast and then you suddenly cant be grown up enough when yr actually an adult. when they fight, i feel so small.. i feel like a child again, listening to violence thru the walls. i wish i could be brave, i wish i could be a MAN, be an adult, but im too scared..

why does my head crave that motherly comfort? i dont understand.. my mom isnt a bad mom. shes an okay mom, not a great PERSON, but an okay mom. shes done a lot for me and i appreciate it, but.. be there for me is not one of them. maybe im sad, maybe i wish i could have a mother that i can say with 100% certainty i love. i wish i could have a mom who was there for me and cared more about me and i wish she was .

she used to be really mean to me, after she kicked her bf out several years ago (got us nothing in the end cuz hes fucking back so whatever) . i think she missed fighting and needed someone to focus her anger on. i remember one time she came into my room and screamed at me for doing something wrong? something i DIDNT do, and then when she found out it was my sibling who did it, i guess she tired herself out cuz she just said whatever

it got so bad that like. everyone knew she was treating me unfairly. my siblings thought she was, i thought she was, and SHE thought she was. that time we were sitting in the car with my sister and she was like yeah im too mean to you, you dont deserve that. and i was just. quiet. what do i say? do i say 'yes, you are too mean to me'? probably not, my sister is my moms number one yes man, if i said anything implying my mom was less than an angel she'd direct her anger towards me. AGAIN. but i cant say no cuz that would be a lie. i just said it was fine and she said it wasnt and that was the end of it. i dont even remember if things changed

or like that time? she called me a disappointment for failing in highschool and when i jsut left, and went and sat in my siblings room, SOMETIMES she feels remorse and she comes and apologizes cuz i think deep down she does love me. but this time? no, she just came in and KEPT going, saying it was my fault and that she doesnt have shit to apologize for. okay!!!! that was when the elections were happening too , thats when she started becoming a worse person, more right wing yknow. its sad watching someone i used to admire dissolve into just.. garbage, yknow? ugh

i almost had a panic attack at my grandparents house one time cuz she raised her voice like. not AT me but i was still there and then my sister started harassing me when i got all quiet cuz i was SCARED and my brother and grandma tried to stick up for me but i just went to the back room and i couldnt fucking breathe. and then later my sister had the audacity? when we went to the park later she was like hey. btw. its not MY fault you were being weird like. whatever, fuck off

i wish i loved my family!!!!! i wish i had a family i was capable of loving. i wish i had a family who didnt hurt me, i wish i had a family that didnt make me feel like.. like im not always safe in my home. ive never ever felt safe, from my earliest memories to my most recent, its just.. carnage. dreadful

Yeah i didnt think so, that game fucking sucks and i was over this whole scene of making you figure it out yourself years ago, like from the jump. Im usually very supportive of doing research but all im going to find out about these guys is a) theyre nazis or b) they adopt the posture of nazis for reasons that are only relevant within the hardcore scene, with a total sense of callousness or adversariality regarding everyone who despises the aestheticization of fascist reactionaryism in and of itself. Like, the hautiness of it, if theyre pulling option b. The self-absorbed, myopically racist and phobic hautiness of it.

Ive been to a number of parties where he invited virtually all the guests and he conspicuously tried for diveristy, although his inner circle was all lame white people. (So is mine at the moment but thats because im too ashamed of my psychosis to have kept in touch with any of my other friends; its just really hard for people being around a white person who wont shut up about nazis when thats all you hear from everyone who wont hang out with white people, it gets awkward because you cant really say much because it could be a trap like theyre an undercover cop or something.) Sometimes his grapevine delivers him a highkey crypto conspiracy theory and then he wants to get takes on it because it "somehow" seems implausible or dubiously verified. When his neighbors annoy him he plays his tyler the creator vinyl real loud. He bought tickets for pet shop boys and new order when they played toronto. I am constantly scanning every interaction for tells, to this day; its like the green flag/red flag bateman meme but the tabulations are reversed.

Fluke. I didnt know who he was until after i had already asked him out (we got along at the party we met at so i asked him out, i never met someone else who knew that kinks song waterloo sunset, before), and then i had a stake in figuring out how much of a nazi he was because he knew i was nonbinary/queer and hooked up with me anyway instead of trying to kill me or debate me. Then after i was like "yknow what fuck it, i hate this game, youre a nazi" he flew across canada several times to check on me because he could tell i was going off the rails and isolating myself from people. He is the ONLY friend i have left who showed concern, most of them just got mad and stopped talking to me when i psychotically accused them of being abusers. My ex gf checked on me a lot during those years but she's not really my friend anymore (cant stand me now, too mundane)

I refuse to tell him my current address because i dont want him to know where i live because i am still paranoid that he has proud boy friends in bc who he can just call up and convince to burn my house down etc if i become too much of a liability or like if he finally does too many drugs and snaps and decides im causing progressivism as a whole by myself using magic

And the hardcore bros KNOW this is what people who truly hate nazis go through with them, and they dont give a fuck because they think theyre on a higher plane of enlightenment by virtue of a hyperfixation on a niche subculture's 40 year history of repeated infiltrations by nazis
