you shifted around and felt the sun on your face as your eyes fluttered open. you were in the twinkie bumping along a winding road, clinging onto jj, who was sitting in his seat, like a koala. or as jay called it, "the front pack", it was like a piggyback but on his front because he always wanted to check on you and make sure you were okay.

you shifted your legs around his torso and lifted your head from the crook of his neck.

"hiya, cupcake," he whispered softly, taking one of his arms that was wrapped around you and moving it so he could brush strands of hair from out of your eyes. "good nap?"

you nodded, wiping the sleep from your eyes, and he smiled. you suddenly recalled how you had gotten here and relief washed over you.

you were running through alleyways on the cut, you felt betrayed. where had the pogues gone? they were there with you five seconds ago and now you were running away from those bloody square groupers alone.

over by the pogues, jj was having a mental breakdown, "where did she go man?"

"damn it!" john b exclaimed."pope, i thought she was behind you when we cut down this way!

"we have to go back for her-" jj houghed.

"i don't know jay..."

"no... no. we have to." he held his hat in one hand and ran the other through his hair in distress.

"he's right, we have to." pope agreed.

"come on man, we finally lost those guys and now you want to follow em?" john b sighed.

"jb you of all people should understand, she's like a little sister to you man! she's still only 16 and this kind of stuff scares the shit out of her, i can't do that to her guys-"

"john b we're going after her," kie pleaded.

"god! we're wasting time, i'm gonna go after her, even if i have to do it by myself!" jj ran off in your last seen direction. john b gave in and followed along with the rest of the pogues, they all knew jj was right, and their group wouldn't survive without you.

as you continued to run, blood pumping through your ears, you looked for the best spot to hide behind, trying to throw them off. you slid behind a large dumpster and listened as the sets of footsteps of the two men ran past you.

you waited a moment, calming your breathing before you moved from behind the bin. you jumped as the footsteps came back in your direction, but instead of those square groupers, it was jj and the pogues.

"y/n!" j sighed in relief scooping you up into his arms. "I'm so sorry, that will never happen again-"

you just stood there too exhausted to complain, your face buried in his chest. john b brought the twinkie around the corner and you all piled in, driving off into the night.

"you came back for me," you smiled at your boyfriend wrapping your arms around his neck, still facing him on his lap.

This is "Let's Drown Buck, Giving Eddie a Shooting Moment and Triggering a Buck Breakdown: An Updated Season 7 Speculation Based on Exactly One Picture Posted by The Props Department and The Voices In My Head"

Okay, so, my Buck will drown in season 7 spec is in its 3rd installment, you can read installment one here, this one has the drowning work as a climax for buddie in a sense, a mid-season or season finale situation, you can read installment number two here, this one is a climax for Buck to break, and now I'm gonna type out a Buck drowning as a season premiere trigger. (You can go here to see all my Buck drowning thoughts)

So, this whole thing hinges on one thing: the fact that the show consistently mirrors Buck and Eddie's personal journeys, with Buck mostly being a few steps behind Eddie. I feel like we collectively got caught up in the way the lightning reminds us of the shooting, and we failed to notice the way the lightning is actually the well. The rain aspect, the night aspect, the team as audience aspect, the volunteering into the rescue that goes wrong over lightning, the way both of them are screaming, the moments of irrational action with the way Buck is trying to dig Eddie by hand and Eddie is trying to pull Buck up to him, the breathing thing with the way Eddie was about to drown and Buck's lungs weren't working, I think even the way Eddie saved himself and the whole concept of the coma dream can work here (here's a set for visuals).

We know Eddie didn't deal with any of his trauma until after the shooting, dude was very just move forward until he couldn't anymore. And one thing is true, you can draw quite a few parallels between the way Buck was acting in season 6 with the way Eddie acts in seasons 3 and 4. Up to the way you can draw direct parallels between Buck and Natalia to Eddie and Ana (here's a set for visuals), or the way he sounds like Eddie did with the just make the best of it, the way Buck is talking in the cemetery really reminds me of what Eddie tells him in kids today when he drops Chris off before the tsunami. And, well, let's face it, Buck hasn't dealt with any strong emotion ever and this man needs to break to move on with his life.

But, sure, how does any of this adds up to Buck drowning? Most of Buck's major traumas/near-death experiences involve water or breathing, the emergency tracheotomy on the first date with Abby, the blood clots in his lung, the tsunami, the well, the warehouse fire, the lightning leading to damage in his lungs (here's a set for visuals) also, Bobby nearly drowned in the plane crash, he got caught with Chris in a tsunami and then Chris falls back into the water, Eddie nearly drowned at the well, Maddie walked into the ocean, I think even the bathtub incident with Jee, creates this pattern of water hurting Buck or people Buck loves. So water is a common trauma factor here.

Why is this important? When you look at the shooting, there are a lot of things that make it as intense as it is: it happens by chance, it's a case of wrong place/wrong time, they're not supposed to be there but they are because Eddie got called there specifically, Buck has to save Eddie alone because they are there with another house and Buck doesn't trust anyone else, and it brings up a previous trauma for Eddie. I also wanna add the fact that, like it or not, Eddie is that attached to what's happening to Charlie because it makes him think of Christopher, at least on some level. So having Buck drown covers the previous trauma thing and it's very easy to make it happen by chance. So let's work out the rest of it, shall we?

Season 6 ends with Bobby and Athena finally going on their honeymoon cruise. I know I'm not the only one sitting here chanting *cruise disaster* because of that, because let's face it when does anything ever go right for anyone on that show. But the props department posted this picture of life vests. Also, one of the writers posted a picture of a script where you can read the word boats. The speculation of something is gonna happen in that cruise writes itself. Add in the fact that people don't know bathena are on the cruise to begin with and you have a GREAT season premiere disaster in your hands. (I don't really wanna bring up Grey's Anatomy here even though a lot of this has me thinking about 3 Grey's episodes, but if you've seen the show, think the ferry boat crash/Meredith drowning arc in season 3)

That means we have a whole ass ocean to drown Buck in while responding to that. Because what's another thing that keeps trying to kill Buck? That's right, city equipment.

Okay, so back to the shooting elements, wrong place/wrong time, they're not really supposed to be there, another crew, previous trauma, no one else they trust around. Not really supposed to be there/got called there directly can be cloudy, but it could just be a "we're going because it's Bobby and Athena's ship". So that's down. Another house, well, a call in that scale would have multiple houses, them getting separated is expected, so that's down too. Previous trauma, Buck getting trapped under something, Buck almost drowning, water, beaches as a whole, all cover that. Wrong place/wrong time, I keep going back to equipment malfunctioning in some way. Maybe they're lowering Buck somewhere and it gets loose, a harness breaking, the oxygen tank stops working, that's something that can happen by chance and create a situation that triggers a past trauma for Buck.

Okay, so we have a lot of elements at play here let's get to the actual vision.

At first, when I saw the life vests, I actually thought about this all happening while they try to save Bobby. They find Bobby, they get Bobby out, Eddie is working on him because he's the one with medical training, it takes him a moment to notice Buck hasn't resurfaced, then he dives back to go get Buck, mostly because that could have some fun implications on the dynamic between the 3, especially if we go to a situation where Buck could've gotten himself out but doesn't, a situation where Buck stops trying, also because I think Buck believes dying for someone he loves is the way to go, so dying for Bobby would be fine with him, but it wouldn't be fine with Bobby or Eddie, and Eddie not dealing with saving Buck's life again could absolutely redirect those feeling towards Bobby because he can't get mad at Buck for dying, so that could create some fun tension.

BUT, if we see Charlie as a surrogate for Chris, to have the situation be triggered by a stranger that reminds Buck of someone he loves, Maddie, Bobby, not Chris because then Eddie would also be irrational in the situation, Eddie is the one that gets reckless when children are involved, could be fun.

So vision: Buck and Eddie are paired doing water rescues or something, they spot someone, that someone brings a more extreme reaction from Buck, I will say he thinks the stranger is Bobby for convenience over the fact that this whole thing is happening on a cruise Bobby is supposed to be in, but it doesn't have to. They go through with the rescue, because again, the thing they went to do is done when Eddie gets shot, something goes wrong, Buck gets pinned down (I don't love the idea of Buck just stopping swimming, I like the idea of something he could get out of if he tried hard enough but he doesn't have it in him to keep struggling, so pinned down it is, also because that brings up the truck bombing), Eddie doesn't notice Buck didn't resurface for a bit (that can also be fun considering the way Eddie is always the last to know, he was the last to see Shannon in the crash, he only found out Buck and Chris were in the tsunami once they were safe, he was the last one to look up at Buck after the lightning, so fun implications all around) just long enough for us to cut back and forth to Buck struggling and Eddie, then cutting to Buck stopping, then Eddie noticing Buck is not there and diving back in. Then we have the fun little aspects of Eddie saving Buck, dragging him out, Buck being unresponsive, desperate cpr, "you're not doing this to me again", Buck finally reacting, sitting up and coughing up water, if we're lucky him dropping back into Eddie and a nice little "I got you, I got you" if we're even luckier maybe some forehead touching or Eddie burying his face on Buck's hair (let Ryan's emotional power out for a spin yk?).

Implication of this for Buck, Eddie, and buddie could be fun. Because you can have Buck spiraling over the fact that almost died again and he was actually okay with it for a while there, kickstarting a breakdown era, because he thought dying was supposed to give him some peace because of Levi and the whole happiness convention thing, and some fun parallels with 5b Eddie. We can have Eddie spiraling over the situation because he had to save Buck again, and Buck is not dealing with it so he's not dealing with it because they don't talk about what it's like being the one doing the saving. And Eddie is already pulling back from Buck, to have this create a real gap between them is easy as hell. And since I'm a "the shooting was Eddie's oh! moment truther" and I'm a believer that Eddie is fully aware of his feelings and just thinks Buck will never feel the same, to throw that energy on Buck would interesting. Just have Buck dealing with having his oh! moment in a very inconvenient moment and with the fact that Eddie is pulling away from him while he spirals.

Do I actually believe any of this is gonna happen? No, no I don't. But I will share the thought on the off chance it does so can get the bragging rights lol.

Kristen Applebees Season 1 Character Playlist BREAKDOWN

OKAY, SO this one is gonna be an ordeal.

I set a 6-song limit for every other playlist I made, but this is the playlist that started it all. So, I didn't have a limit. So it's 12 songs long.

Which is honestly like a normal playlist length BUT it's gonna be a long breakdown which I will lovingly do because I LOVE Kristen with my whole heart. Either way, this is deffos gonna be a long post so read if you want (i would very much appreciate it obvi but I get this is pushing it).

Genres Included: Folk, Singer-songwriter, Alternative, 80's

1. Save the People, The Mountain Goats

Starting off strong with my main man John Darnielle. John, as prolific as he might be, did not write this song it is originally from the musical Godspell by Steven Schwartz. I was raised as a theater kid and I remember one summer my mom took out our cable and the only things we could watch on the tv were dvds and vhs tapes of musicals, and the 1973 Godspell movie was definitely one of my favorites. Its like "what if Jesus was around in the 70s and was a hippie clown and also was crucified on a chain-linked fence and beaten by cops" ...ah, good times.

ANYWAYS, I don't feel like I need to get into why this is a perfect Kristen song - I feel like it really gets to the divide between the way that Christianity is taught to kids vs the way it is enacted by the adults that do the teaching.

Ok so I was raised Catholic, which I feel like is a whole different flavor of religious trauma compared to Evangelical or Baptist vibes - which I feel like the Helioic religion gives. Either way, this song slaps and really gets to that Evangelical vibe.

3. Big Houses, Squalloscope

I build bridges with these arms I will not build a fortress In the circle around the kitchen table I say my "amen" because I feel blessed Secretly hoping, while joining hands, that you can't feel my trembling fingertips

Here's young Kristen Applebees - Chosen One of Helio- who just wanted to help people. She meets her first non-religious friends, plans to convert and save them, and then straight up dies on the first day of school. She comes face to face with her literal god, is disappointed and grossed out by him, and then is magically (and violently) revived.

Can you imagine her returning home, trying to answer her parent's questions about the first day, making it through dinner, crawling into bed, and just lying there? AHHHHHHHHHHH

4. Under The Table, Fiona Apple

Speaking of those family dinners, as the days go by and Kristen gets closer to her party, how do you think she's gonna react to whatever comments her parents make about them hmmmmmm? The result of coming out of your social shell and realizing how bad the people around you really are.

5. Cleric Girl, Sisyfuss

This is just a fun song I see as Kristen finds her groove within the party, kinda around the DJ brains fight. Also it makes me think of the prayer chain thing that she had the whole party on at some point.

6. Cornflake Girl, Tori Amos

She knows what's going on Seems we got a cheaper feel now All the sweeteaze are gone Gone to the other side With my encyclopedia They musta paid her a nice price She's putting on her string bean love This is not really, this, this This is not really happening

There's something about a Tori Amos song that never fucking misses. This song, for me, kinda gets at the part of growing up when you really start to uncover the truth of things for yourself, instead of listening to the things you were always told. Kristen buys the book of world religions and reads about the atrocities people did in her god's name. She is also told that the "cool camps" she was going to were run by an actual fanatical cult. Yikes.

7. Eldest Daughter, Isabel Pless

Bring me your battered, your bruised, and your scarred Florence Nightingale, to your broken hearts Bring me your bleeding I'll stitch it up with a bow Tugging at the sword in the stone The dormant hero in me is yet to be known Dying to prove myself again, but I don't know how Wanna lay my weapons down Lay my weapons down Want everyone to adore me even though People's emotions are out of my control Smothering fires Letting flames claim my hands I would do anything to be needed Over and over again.

Okay, the thing about this song is that we get the root of it here in season one, and it shows up really lightly, but God almighty, do we get one hell of a payoff in the next two seasons. Damn. The first time I listened to this song I cried. It's on several of my dnd character playlists - because, for some reason, I can't stop making dnd characters with self-saccrificing tendencies. HM! I WONDER WHY?

But anyways, yeah... something something, Christian households raising their eldest daughters to be surrogate mothers and laborers, something something Kristen is a cleric while her brothers are paladins, something something Women being healers

8. Angel Eyes and Basketball, Foot Ox

There are flowers growing all around A massive animal inside of me And it's so ugly, and I'm so broken And I'm so ugly, and it's so broken I am calling all of my friends To pull me out of this hole But they're so caught up in their own shit And I'm so caught up in my own shit

Ok, this is full Christian guilt. I also really like the way this song is one of those upbeat but devastating ones because it makes me think about her inspiring speeches to her party members just being her ranting about how horrible everything is, and then they get +1 to attacks and extra hitpoints. Living La Vida Loca.

9. We Fell in Love in October, girl in red

Smoking cigarettes on the roof You look so pretty, and I love this view Don't bother looking down, we're not going that way At least I know I am here to stay We fell in love in October That's why I love fall Looking at the stars Admiring from afar

Ok, I know this is cheesy. BUT TO MY CREDIT: both the song and the season came out in 2018. Also, you know Kristen would stream the fuck out of this song.

10. Running Up That Hill ( A Deal With God), Kate Bush

And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God And I'd get him to swap our places I'd be running up that road, be running up that hill With no problems

AGAIN TO MY CREDIT: I made this playlist in 2020 - two years before Stranger Things brought the song back to the general psyche. No shade, of course, to the stranger things; it's a perfect song to choose, and the scene effectively made me cry.

But anyway its here because at her bones, Kristen would die for her friends and has and will (unfortunately) continue to. Speaking of

11. Arms Tonite, Mother Mother

Wait CC Sol has been switching outfits?? Or from og to nightbringer? Bc I'm confusing myself (& looking up his cards on the wiki just distracted me from my goal lol)

Ahh yes, sorry anon, I didn’t exactly explain what I meant when I said that in my latest post! I first talked about it in my post for Lesson 17 of Nightbringer, which is linked in the masterlist if you want to read it. But you don’t have to because it has a bunch of other stuff in it, too, and I’m gonna clarify what I meant right here!

It’s only in Nightbringer that I noticed this & it might mean nothing, but it seems a little odd to me.

Solomon has two different outfits that he switches between during the Nightbringer story. In the OG, these were his casual outfit (the sorcerer one with the cape) and his human world outfit (the trench coat one with the necklaces).

There doesn’t seem to be any reason for the outfit changes and he’s the only character who seems to be doing it. Until everybody started wearing their RAD uniforms, the demons mostly stayed in their demon forms. So it seemed strange to me that Sol would switch between the sorcerer cape outfit and the trench coat outfit for no reason.

I was so obsessed with this idea that I went back through all the lessons to see where he was wearing which outfit. But I only did it up until Lesson 17 so I don’t know what he’s been doing since then. I figured I was just creating something out of nothing so it probably wasn’t worth keeping track of. But now I’m not so sure so maybe I’ll go back and check the rest just out of curiosity.

In the first 17 lessons, he seems to be wearing the human world outfit more often.

Here’s the breakdown I have so far:

Casual outfit (sorcerer with cape): 1-9, 1-12, 2-1, 2-3, 3-A, 10-4, 10-18, 11-1, 11-4, 11-6, 11-8, 11-10, 11-12, 11-14, 11-16, 12-2, 17-9, 17-11, 17-13, 17-15

Human world outfit (trench coat with necklaces): 2-9, 3-15, 4-9, 4-11, 5-A, 6-14, 6-16, 6-18, 7-1, 7-4, 7-6, 7-8, 7-12, 7-15, 7-17, 9-2, 9-4, 9-A, 9-8, 10-A, 13-1, 13-3, 13-6, 13-8, 13-15, 14-9, 14-11, 14-14, 14-16

In his casual outfit, he had that conversation with Simeon (10-18), defended us from Belphie (11-1), and talks about the whole grimoire thing where we chose to give it to Lucifer (11-16).

In his human world outfit, he makes a pact with Asmo (7-15), gets banished by Barb (7-17), has that whole weird discussion with Nightbringer (9-A & 10-A), and tells us about his childhood and a story he couldn’t finish (14-11, 14-14, 14-16).

So yeah I went down this rabbit hole after Lesson 17, but like I said I haven’t been keeping track since then. I did all this & was like okay but does this really mean anything?

It’s just a theory because I thought it was weird that he was switching between those outfits when nobody else seemed to be doing that. And we know from season four of the OG that characters wearing different outfits can mean something significant.

Then when we found out Michael could disguise himself as Raphael so thoroughly, I thought maybe someone was doing the same with Solomon and the outfits were a hint to that.

Buuuut it could certainly just be nothing in the end. I don’t know for sure but sometimes my brain latches onto this sort of thing & then I never know peace again lol.

Anyway, I hope that clears things up! And I totally get being distracted by his cards, that happens to me regularly lol. I can’t help it he’s so pretty ☺️

It's like 4am and I just woke up cuz apparently my brain doesn't feel like sleeping. And because it's me one of the first things on my mind is my current hyperfixation aka ninjago so ya'll get some thoughts™️

Specifically about the au I talked about in this post (I still need a name for it pls help 😫). And since I was thinking about it all day yesterday I've decided some stuff.

So they do end up being able to free Morro from his curse or whatever as master of the airjitzu temple. Im not sure how/when yet. Probably sometime after Hands of Time. And after he's free he just kinda becomes apart of the team. (I have a lot of feelings about this after reading this fic by @ninja-knox-ur-sox-off okay? Let Morro be their brother pls). Also in Hands of Time when the airjitzu temple is under attack since Morro is still bound to the temple at that point he gets to go a little crazy with his powers. As a treat (the vermillion never stood a chance).

So he's with/apart of the team through all their adventures following that. And in Prime Empire he enters the game with the rest of them. And he gets a new digital body, which isn't quite the same as an actual body but it's still weird. And then when he's released from the game with everyone else he has an actual body (because I said so) and is no longer a ghost and maybe freaks out a bit at first.

Apart from that I haven't really figured out yet how he's gonna fit into each season post Day of the Departed yet (but don't worry I will >:3) EXCEPT that he's gonna have a significant role in seadbound because of the whole wind element thing.

AND in Master of the Mountain I've decided that when they all get separated he ends up with Cole/Wu/Vania if only for the angst of him getting caught in the whirlpool with them and (sorta) almost drowning. I say sorta because he's never fully under water for very long (Cole/Wu always pull him up before he has a chance to really inhale that much water) but overall he does not have a good time and probably has a mini breakdown/panic attack at the very least once they pull him out of the water. (Which I can picture very clearly in my mind currently.) Also picture, if you will, Morro desperately clinging to either Wu or Cole (maybe even Vania at some point) for the entire duration that they're in the river/whirlpool.

And like at this point he's not quite as afraid of water as he still was when he first got his body back (or maybe he kinda is? Since Mountain is right after Empire? But I know I want their to at least be a decent time gap between Empire and Mountain so that there's time for some Morro recovery stuff. Again inspired by the fic I linked above)(I really need to go read it again ahhh). Anyways so he's maybe not quite as terrified of water as he was. For the most part he's finally convinced his mind that just touching water won't hurt him. He can drink/shower etc for the most part without any trouble. And can even manage being in some shallow water when he's feeling particularly brave. But he doesn't know how to swim and still has a very real fear of drowning as that is still entirely possible. (I think he also just has a fear of death in general. He's already died twice and very much Does Not want to do it again.) (Actually 3 times sorta after prime empire??). Anyways and after Master of the Mountain even tho he hates it he's determined to learn how to swim at least a little so he doesn't ever feel so helpless in water again.

Also if I'm remembering correctly I'm just realizing that in Master of the Mountain he'd be with Cole/Wu/Vania and the Upply when they swim their way out of rock bottom (am I remembering that correctly?) Which of course he absolutely HATES but also he has no choice but he's still terrified the entire time and clings to either Cole or Wu.

I do love me some more angst tho.

Yeah he probably comes out of that season more afraid of water than he is going into it. Like some of his progress towards overcoming his fear of water is definitely reverseed/lost. So.

Like anyone else I wasn't happy with Buck donating but now that it's done and we know Bucks parents are coming back the back half. I'm thoroughly fascinated to see what this hot mess becomes.

Because here is the one thing that always bothered me after the S4 finale. There was no point in Eddie telling Buck that in S3 he made Buck, Christopher's gaurdian.

1. It did nothing to curb Bucks reckless tendencies. It clearly didn't add to his own self worth as of yet.

2. They clearly planned to have Eddie mend fences with his parents. Even pushing into this season to show him seek his father out for advice

3. It wasn't used during Christopher's break down as a tool to help him see if anything happened to Eddie he would stay with Buck. He would have his chosen family and Carla still.

That scene wasn't a cliffhanger and honestly could have been done any way. He could have just said your my brother my best friend, I need you to know your not expendable to me. I never want you to step in front of a bullet for me.

Fathers is such a recurring theme in Buddies storyline. So to any anons who are bummed or feeling impatient. Like I don't know what the story will be but they clearly have been working on one and I think it's gonna be amazing.

I agree with a lot of your bottom line, but if it’s okay, I”d like to also share my own POV?

I have to say I do think there was a point to the legal guardian reveal. It didn’t solve all of Buck’s issues with his self-esteem and his recklessness, but I think that at that moment, it helped. Buck was sitting there by Eddie’s hospital bed, blaming himself and expressing self-destructive (even suicidal) notions, and Eddie told him in the firmest, most loving way possible to quit it. That Buck’s not expendable. That he has a family that needs him. A family which chose him. And yeah, that’s coming after the rest of Buck’s life taught him differently. When you’re running on an empty tank your entire life, one can of gasoline doesn’t fix all the damage that took place along the years. Healing does not happen at once. It doesn’t happen with one statement of love. It happens over time. It happens with repetition. With constant reminders. It happens thanks to the consistency of love. I mean, I think that this is true even for people who didn’t grow up deprived of love, but especially for them. It has to be a series of moments, not just one. So I think that reveal is one in a chain of meaningful statements of love that Buck and Eddie have had and will continue to have together, starting with their initial, mutual one in 201, and it continues in 303 with Eddie’s declaration of trust in Buck, in 414 and the guardianship reveal, as well as Buck being there for Eddie during and after his breakdown in s5.

Yes, I love the journey of healing Eddie is having with his dad! I love that they both are healing and growing. And I expect we might see some more of that with Buck and his own parents, since 405 only started to lay the groundwork for that, but hasn’t had a chance to continue that theme since. But no, I don’t think it has a bearing on how essential the guardianship reveal is. Ramon is someone Eddie is coming to trust more, but Buck has always been the person he trusts the most in the world, even over Abuela and Tia Pepa, who unlike Ramon had always been there for the Diaz boys.

And alongside all of that, I agree with you that there were other ways in which Eddie could have told Buck “I want and need you.” He didn’t, because the most meaningful thing in Eddie’s life is being a dad. And he knows Buck loves kids and that he treats Chris as if he were his own. So Eddie is aware nothing will get to Buck more than the statements we heard in 303 and 414. And yes, that’s because fatherhood plays a really significant role in Buddie’s storyline. They would have been the best of friends and soulmates even if there were no Chris, I have no doubt about it. But Chris does exist and he helped turn them from just partners and soulmates into co-parents and a family unit, too. So every time themes of fatherhood are explored, it very much plays into what they have, and it’s a part of why I wrote in my 608 meta that I do think both Buck and Eddie’s storylines this season along these themes need to converge with them communicating about it all. And I’m looking forward to it! I believe that’s more or less what you’re saying as well? So I’m excited for all of us to see how it all unfolds in the 6a finale and in 6b!

supernatural s14e12 prophet and loss (w. brad buckner, eugenie ross-leming)

feel like i'm just grinding through s14 at a decent pace. several times now they've made me had minor (to moderate) breakdowns and i just want to keep plowing through because i don't want the breakdowns to last more than one day 🫠 been a long time since a season made me cry so much. and especially with mid-season episodes? but it feels more.... hm. calculated. like when i bitched about 4 months suddenly equals 40 years in hell etc.

ranted about it in 9x09 because i don't think i was making my feelings known here for every episode back in s4

instead i just sighed because “trust me, kevin” and “i always end up screwed :)” so now dean’s gonna feel guilty. he’s already feeling guilty enough, did we need that too? when they push too hard on the excessive dean whump, i get annoyed. like the whole 4 months=40 years, i enjoyed torturing people, etc. edgelord bullshit :P

except instead of getting mad about it being edgelord bullshit now, i'm just feeling brokenhearted and manipulated. very not fun times. it's too much too close together to the jack thing and too similar to things they've done in the past, i think. is why it's pushing me away so hard.

dean's nightmare in the box / suicidal deathbed-esque convo also with interstellar-ish music / interstellar cornfield chase (c. hans zimmer) played by anna lapwood on the organ

well. dean's nightmare was awful. shades of him in hell calling out for sam. cannot fucking wait until this particular plotline gets snuffed out. and because i can't deal with not comparing this interstellar-ish music (it's in both spn scenes) i tacked it on to the end of this video too.

and like when i was watching the old guard, i'm like ah yes, stuck in a coffin in the ocean drowning over and over because you're immortal - i have heard this story before! on the vampire diaries! someone... stefan?? was stuck in a ...... safe? and pushed into a lake to repeatedly die and revive. 500 years and 3 months, respectively.

listen i know this gets resolved somehow and i'm not gonna bail on this fucking project with a little more than a season left but i can't express how much i don't want to watch something that's making me cry so hard my head is killing me (more than it was already) on a regular basis. this is too many things that cut too close to home with characters i'm too attached to. sigh.

Orion Pax was very fun and cool

Operation: Bumblebee didn't quite top Stronger, Faster, but it damn sure tried its best

'Though the medic... could have done better' AUGH

That entire exchange between Bumblebee and Knock Out ('WHAT is with the Rent-A-Car????') was absolute perfection, my favourite moment being Knock Out noticing that Bumblebee was no longer chasing him and literally stopping to talk shit in the middle of his mission. We love a man with priorities

RIP Breakdown, you didn't deserve that buddy

People were saying that KO had no noticeable reaction to Breakdown's death, so I was a little wary, but while we didn't get the immediate reaction, we absolutely got the aftermath

Namely, Knock Out becomes increasingly more reckless, speaking out while Megatron is in the room (where before he mostly only spoke when referred to) and becoming bolder in those conversations, such as shouting at the Insecticons, becomes far less focused during missions, preferring to stand and talk shit/make puns, and while he does not visibly mourn Breakdown, he mentions him a fair few times and it's likely he does not even know that he's dead

Triage my beloved. I get it now.

The whole aftermath of Toxicity, and Miko failing to find closure with Wheeljack, and that shot of Wheeljack turning and limping back out of base because nobody will talk to him and he's just made it worse? Perfection.

Bulkhead's healing arc itself was a little. Mmh. Miko why is your characterisation like this?? I want to like you!

My initial reaction to Smokescreen was 'oh I hate his ass' and then now I'm like 'omg Smokescreen hi!!!'

Raf's mom did NOT notice he's been disappearing every weekend and every weekday after school, but him dropping to an A- was what got her attention? Yeah okay lady.

Also, she had no questions to the adult man in a suit being in the 'study group'???

Did she even know which child was hers????

The slow realisation that the 'cons are getting closer and closer to figuring out where the autobot base is? Hell YEAH

Alpha Trion's voice was so similar to a comedy voice I know that I didn't register a goddamn thing he said bc I was too busy laughing, but then the pan back to Optimus' face where he just looks like he's not paying attention at ALL-

KO panicking and trying to yank out the brain wire so Megatron would be stuck in Starscream. Bestie how did you think that would end. You're just lucky Dreadwing was too busy betraying Megatron to tell him about that

Also RIP Dreadwing, you didn't really do... much at all actually, but at least you weren't Starscream so you had that going for you

Also KO and Starscream fucking with their captives vs Soundwave just holding Raf. He has other priorities okay. Like carrying.

REVIEW

I loved this episode!! It was great, and a great return to the show/season :)). I've seen some stuff saying how the cast is/seems really excited for season 6/6B and that makes me extra excited lol! By the way, this will probably be pretty short because I put off (finishing for some, but for this one only till "never sick" before right now lol) all three reviews till Saturday xD. Anyway lol! It's now actually Sunday :)). And I have to do all three. So xd. Anyway for real now lol!

Bobby! Plus May and Athena. I'm glad they're investigating the rehab center (and not getting caught lol). It seems like we're getting somewhere! And Athena and May were hilarious xDD. Anyway, it's kinda 😬 seeing Bobby so focused on it, but I am still glad they're investigating :). Somebody has to ❤️. Anyway, they were great at their jobs (didn't really see any of Athena but she was investigating lol). Bobby especially, since we did see him doing it xD. I love him <3. I do love all three of them, by the way lol <3. I am nervous about next episode for them! They're already dealing with a loss and all the drama surrounding that, and adding Buck onto that? Their unofficial/adopted son?? My poor babeys 😭😭❤️.

Hen! Seeing her with Denny was so cute :DD. I totally forgot about the storyline of him contacting his dad though xD 😬. I'm deeefinitely a bit worried for when Hen and Karen are gonna find out o.o - especially given that he's been hiding it for a W H I L E. Also, Hen was wonderful at her job as always 🥰🥰. I love her :DD. Also, I think Hen will have to be holding it together with Buck :'((. Bc everyone else will be a mess xd. But we better get to see her being a mess too :'DD. Anyway, good luck with baseball, D 🥰.

Chim and Maddie! I'm REALLY glad the Buckleys visiting wasn't too bad xD. I'll talk some about it here and some with Buck, but that argument was 😬😬. Plus Chim's dad showing up was o.o. and I'm pretty sure that's his stepmom? But I don't actually remember lol. Anyway, it was T E N S E but I'm glad it at least worked out okay xd. Like, okay as in just barely fine lol. Okay in the most basic, watery meaning of it lol. Anyway, I'm glad (especially after seeing how nervous she was) that Maddie didn't have any huge problems with her parents :D. Looks like they're finally learning lol. And, of course, Maddie and Chimney were both great at their jobs :)). Also I didn't realize it until I saw somebody say it but IT LOOKS LIKE DOUG IS IN THE PROMO?? LIKE WITH MADDIE???! AAHHHH!!? I'm so excited xD. And scared lol. Plus it'll be rough for them like in the real world :'((. Anyway, I love them both 🥰🥰.

Eddie! We didn't see much of him this episode, but he was great 🥰. I'm ESPECIALLY interested in seeing how he reacts next week :DD >:DD. Y'all I'mma be screaming but I'm also so excited for the angst xDD. But also 😭😭. Like y'all it's the way he screamed for Buck- I can't xd. Anyway lol! He was great at his job :)). Also him playing catch with Hen was so cute 🥰🥰. Especially when the others were working and they were just chillin XDD. But yeah lol, scared and excited for next episode. I love him 🥰❤️❤️.

And finally, Buck :)! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! MY BOYYYY!!!! 😭😭😭😭💔❤️❤️. HE BETTER BE OKAY!! I mean I'm sure he will be (or he'll survive at least) but still you never know 😭😭❤️. Anyway, he was amazing this episode :)). Seeing how he was with kids was so adorable 🥰🥰. And he looked so nervous when his parents found out about the donor situation 😭😭. I would say donorship but that doesn't appear to be a word lol. Eh xD. Anyway, that scene was TENSE 😳😳 xd. And also kinda funny with Chim being like uhh??? no??? I don't think we're pregnant?? XDD. Amazing lol. Anyway, the other family scenes were so cute and sweet :')). I'm glad they managed to get everything sorted out <33. And even though his parents don't totally agree, I'm happy that they decided to support him anyway :'). Also, Buck was, obviously, great at his job this episode 🥰🥰. Now. The ending 😭😭😭. A A H H H! I'm not okay xdd. They way he FELL aUGH!! I know I just said it but I'm not okay 😭😭. And that PROMO??? AAHHH. And ik a lot of people figured it was gonna happen (I only found out when I saw people that were like 'we might actually get coma Buck y'all!!!' lol) but AAHHHH COMA ALTERNATE REALITY BUCK!!! Dude it looks so crazy but it's gonna be SO good :DD. It looks like he won't exist or smth?? Idek o.o. But, I'm sure it'll be wild, and amazing :D. And I'll probably scream the whole time xD. But yeah! I love him 🥰🥰❤️.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode! I thought it was super fun, and the cases were cool and interesting. The way they all related to the storm? Great!! :D They were really good and it helped lead up to the ending. Of course, everyone was amazing this episode 🥰🥰. And I'm really excited to see them all angsting next week lol! Buck's coma dream juxtaposed with everyone dealing with the coma in real life is going to be AWESOME. And also heartbreaking xD. With this episode as a whole, I'm glad everything worked out, for the most part :). Obviously there were some things opening to ongoing storylines, but I think it was a great half-season premiere :). Just the right amount of wrapped up for an episode lol. The rehab storyline less wrapped up, but that makes sense since it seems like it'll be a more pressing/sooner storyline than the others. And of course, I have to mention again the end of this episode. Y'all 😭😭. Seeing them all go to Buck, trying everything, is just ❤️❤️. They're family, your honor :')). And I love them all so much <33. Anyway, this was a great episode, and I'm REALLY excited for the next one :)).

So yeah! I really loved the episode, I thought it was amazing. I'm nervous for the next one! This has been my review of. . .

IT WAS SO FREAKING CUTE. OMG... I can't even talk about how much I loved that scene. Macau being cute with his brother, oh my God. And I can't stop thinking about the conversations that Macau and Pete had while Vegas was sleeping. That "That was fast" from Macau, got me thinking they plotted making Vegas act cute AND I LOVED IT 😭😭😭😭

Also, so sad we didn't get a proper ending to KimChay🥺🥺🥺

Biggest disappointment.

Enchanté. The first episode was really cute, but then, I don't know what happened. I loved the whole "Find the Enchanté" thing just to be the own Theo who wrote it because he wanted Akk's attention... And that last episode, what was that? Out of nowhere, after doing all that book scene to get Akk, he's leaving just like that?! And Akk's sister saying those things to him??? That's her way of helping?? Really disappointed.

And I have to mention Cutie Pie. It's not bad, but I guess I waited too much for too long. Since the first announcement that Zee was going to be in a new BL, I was sooo hyped, but when I finally watched it, it didn't get me. Still going to watch it anyway because I love the actors and I loved the other couples, but I got really lazy, unfortunately🥺🥺

My #1 post of 2022

Okay, I just want to put it out what I'm feeling right now after EP13, but I'm going to focus only on PeteVegas because, too much happened in this episode.

First of all, I just need to leave something very clear here: I didn't knew anything about the novel before watching the series so, I was really blind and didn't know what to expect. That being said, let's move on.

I still don't know what I feel when I think about them. I started watching KinnPorsche BECAUSE of VegasPete, I wanted to see them together. Them Pete got captured and I realized the road that they would go.

I'm completely biased by Bible, so I didn't imagine that I would HATE his character. And I did. For a moment. Now I'm... Confused cause at the same time I want to kill him, I want to protect him ("At the same time I wanna hug you, I wanna wrap my hands around your neck - P!nk")

Something I'm really enjoying is to see how everyone interpret their relationship differently, that's amazing. So I want to leave here what I think they have.

I don't think it Love. I don't think it's anything really rational. I think they developed a toxic emotional support that they crave above anything else. I genuinely think they can't live without each other anymore because of this bounding. Vegas gets better because of Pete, but also he can reach his peak of destruction for Pete too. The same for Pete. He has a pure heart even after everything he did and have been through, but he fakes smiles and happiness too much. With Vegas, he can show the evil part of himself without being judged of anything. They are literally like Yin and Yang. They need each other for balance. Pete needs Vegas to be mean, and Vegas needs Pete to be good.

It's not love, it's balance. They both know what they are doing it's wrong, but still want it ("Mama, I'm in love with a criminal and this type of love, it's not rational, it's phisical - Britney")

Also, the scene where Pete was "eating" the ramyeon and breaks down crying, wow. I also saw a lot of people saying different things about it and, one of the things people said was that his friends and people o cares about him are around him but he is still left alone. I don't think the others left him alone just like that. He's visible hurt, both, inside and out, holding tears all the time... I would give him some time too. And, he may have asked to be alone for a while cause, Khul would talk to much, ask too much, and he's not in a good shape for all Khul's presence at that moment, you know?

And when he touches where the handcuffs were, his chest and neck where Vegas touched, I really think he was missing him, but his crying because he don't want to miss Vegas. Crying because because he knows it's wrong and unhealthy, but he's still worried, maybe even not for himself but for what Vegas may do without him. He can't control him if he's not near him. I guess it's obvious now that Vegas don't control Pete, Pete controls him.

And one last thing, yes, they can't kill each other because, like I said, they balance one another. If one of them dies, the other will crumble. If they hurt each other, they hurt themselves. That's why I think Pete couldn't pull the trigger and Vegas couldn't stab Pete.

All of this is just how I feel about them, how I read them myself.

I love seeing the other ways they are being read so, if you want to talk more about them or other couple, even other series, I will gladly talk to you. 🥰🥰

And I need to say, shout out to the whole KinnPorsche's crew cause I'm really impressed by this series 😍😍

other information:

-back in season 1, right before el disappeared into the upside down, the demogorgon hit sofia and she roughly smacked her head against the wall. this resulted in some head trauma, which led her to stutter from then on.

-in season 4, she is arrested alongside el. the reasoning is, that despite not doing anything wrong, el's bullies blamed sofia for an "attack". the "attack" was just a couple of the bullies dragging sofia outside of the skating rink and beating her up because she tried to help el off the skating rink. they beat her because they thought it was "weird" that sofia would go to help el, calling her a "homosexual" and shaming her for it. even though sofia was the one who had the bruises and signs of harm on her, she was the one arrested for an "attack". she was told she would be sent to juvenile jail with el, until her parents could call in and get her sent back to hawkins. the only problem with this is that sofia has lived with robin since the byers moved away, because her parents tried sending her away to a conversion therapy center in another state. sofia ran away from home and robin let her into her home with open arms, which the buckley family has no problems with.

-after being found by owens and his men, he told some agents to take sofia back to the byers' house, telling her that he needed to speak with el. sofia was hesitant to leave, but el reassured her that she would be okay, and that she would see her soon. however, once out of el's sight, the agents started driving sofia a different way, not telling her where. they arrived at the secret bunker before el did, where they brought sofia to brenner. when she asked why she was brought there, they told her that she knew too much about el, and that she had to potential to be a great experiment. besides trying to run away, they drugged her and proceeded to prep her for experimentation. el was brought to a seperate area of the bunker, and neither her or owens were aware of sofia's presence in the bunker until vol. 2.

powers:

-after days of painful experimentation (which persisted of lots of injections, shocking, mental breakdowns, and different "medicines"), it was revealed that sofia (called '019' after painfully given the tattoo) had the ability to make things explode (cars, aircrafts, water tanks...even people) with her mind. this scares brenner, so he keeps a shock collar on her most of the time, which he uses unfairly. because of the use of the shock collar, el thinks she can sometimes hear someone screaming from off in the distance, but when she asks anyone about it, they deny that there is anyone else in the bunker.

-to help with sofia's power development, brenner would typically force sofia into a deprivation tank, and send high frequency sounds in so sofia couldn't focus on exploding people, and only focus on travelling in the minds of others. this has resulted in a deep fear of water and loud noises.

That "Byler" scene in the van...

Honestly I'm already so numb to this shit and the near identical parallels to me and an ex friend of mine since s3 and Will and Mike I was just shut down completely and wasn't surprised or had any kind of noticeable reaction at all. I'm just numb cause that shit (literally almost exactly, including the abandoning me despite me telling them how much they were hurting me and bringing up past trauma and just said a half ass sorry and kept doing it, the breakdown and now I've got the weeping silently right in front of them and them not doing shit about it and even trying to change the subject). Except, ya know 🙃🙃🙃 they had to throw in the words like "mistake" and shit so salt in the wound, but that's fine cause it's not like they built it up during pride month of all times just to get more people to watch it so that we could be mocked and feel even more like a mistake, right??

Which brings me to my next point

Ya know what I've unintentionally rewrote my brain to forget the whole "byler/mileven" mess as much as humanly possible and only remember about three ships; Lumax, Elmax, and Jopper (aka mom and dad :D)

I thought I reached my capacity for loving Elmax in season 3 but I was 😭 so wrong 😭

Inject that shit in my VEINS

El learning not only her friends in general are in danger but Max specifically and immediately doing everything in her literal power to get to her and save her (I'm actually tearing up rn, it's affecting me too much) is replenishing everything in me

Like these girls had alone time for barely an hour and they decided for life: "this is my human, I'm gonna go to the ends of the earth to protect my human, build my human up. no one is like my human, my human is THE BEST and deserves the best. my human is one of my biggest sources of joy". That was mall rats and it's just been golden for those two ever since and I went into season 4 prepared for everything between these two to revert back to s2

But it was SO

MUCH

BETTER

For one thing, El's determination to save Max

HER DRAWING 😭😭😭😭

First of all... the sheer anger El must have been feeling towards Vecna to have ripped him away from Max as such velocity to knock him out as long as he was knocked out. It wasn't forever but consider how much time they got. She had to have been pissed

Max's plan to "run towards the light" and the things that make her happiest and a) that being the snowball where she had her moment with Lucas and danced with her friends b) she then saw no one else was there but El and assumed that was her mind saving her -- someone who brings light to her life

Her not believing she was real

Her not believing she was real 😭

Still cupping at El's face and shoulders (in such a Max way, and El just being totally fine with it) like a lifeline in doubt and El lovingly taking her hand and cupping it and saying so sweetly

"I'm real"

And ofc the adorable "I piggybacked from a pizza dough freezer !!"

And what I immediately had to re-watch like seven times and silently cheer in victory at like 3 am:

"Stay back," and "If you touch her again, I will kill you again"

I'm sorry but its all im thinking about

Oh god that and

Caleb's stellar performance that actually ripped my heart out, stomped on it and then put it in a blender (all of s4 honestly, he's always been amazing but they actually gave him room to really shine

It's the "Erica help" that murdered me and it's enough to make me tear up again just thinking about it [EDIT: okay I literally just learned that line was all caleb and OF COURSE IT WAS]

Everyone's performance in that scene honestly was unlike anything I've seen and so beyond intense but Caleb, as I've said, really got me

Max and Lucas love each other so much and if I don't see them go to the movies together in s5 I--

I'm not sure what I'll do

Ugh there's so much other stuff I haven't even mentioned (mainly cause Elmax is taking up my entire life) but

OH YEAH

EL AND LUCAS FINALLY INTERACTING AGAIN?!? HUGGING ?!

I was literally so paranoid he was Vecna getting into El's mind actually that I couldn't properly enjoy it wasn't until she thanked Joyce I started to realize it might've been real and then when realized was SURE there wasn't anything left of the episode, I cried and went back and cried harder lmao 😭
