Ok I wanted to expound actually I do think it’s really interesting how Isabeau isn’t like a “wishy washy” kind of neutral she is really serious and principled about it. Like when you fight her in law (and I assume things turn out the same in chaos, haven’t finished that playthru yet) if you extend your hand to her she takes offense to it + tells you to have conviction in the path you chose to the end despite her being so horrified and appalled by it that she would put down her life to fight you to prevent it from coming to pass.

And in neutral as well after you defeat Merkabah she expresses respect for him in seeing his principles through. I think it’s interesting that she has such high respect for this concept of commitment to a belief, even a destructive one + even when that the belief itself is so fundamentally morally repellant to her. So anyways this is where I get kind of headcanony right. But I was thinking more about this again

And yeah like she doubly has this thing of coming from a family that has always gone into the monastery as well as being a woman samurai (the level of rarity of this can be inferred by the fact that she’s like, the only female samurai npc iirc) that feeds into this right? Tho it’s conjecture on my part bc we don’t really hear her thoughts on any of this she’s already in this position of being like, an outlier, somewhere she “doesn’t belong” (as she apparently grew up expected to go into the monastery like the rest of her family- it’s a “loss” for the monastery) in terms of her place in the samurai. So I think that’s like .. where her position ultimately comes from. So like “isabeau’s stance is that killing a bunch of people is bad” isn’t like groundbreaking literary analysis im aware. The game tells you that. i feel like... maybe this is just me but ive been noticing this weird kind of disturbing trend of people being way overprotective of the CCs whilst increasingly aggressive towards their fellow fandom artists/writers.

We all love gem on here. i think it'd be preaching to the choir to say she didn't deserve the hate she got for. Existing in the series or whatever people were mad about. but more and more people seem to think that any negativity is Bad and Affects The CCs and when they list examples it's all like. idk. ppl not liking the SL mechanic or the watcher lore or certain gimmicks (zombie apocalypse comes to mind) etc etc

while we are not owed any level of quality for entertainment getting put out by mcyters For Free, this is still a series that means a lot to me and most of the fandom take it seriously. so it can be disappointing when it feels like decisions are made for the sake of rushing things or forcing something specific to happen. Limlife is my least favourite season by a pretty long margin because i think it was pretty apparent the cast were very burnt out during it and I would like for them to make the series at their own pace instead of doing that. I still loved limlife and think it's super funny i just think it was weighed down by a lot of things.

when secret life came to close i loved the ending but the fandom space. scared me a little and it still does kind of reek ngl. i saw blocks of text telling people to shut the fuck up about their favourite pairings or characters because How Dare they not appreciate every other person just as much Alot. and now im seeing people say we should "know our place" as fans and never voice our "entitled" discontent because the poor CCs are just doing this for fun. as someone who tries to dig deep on every individual character and relationship it just all felt a little bit. This + ive been seeing a lot more people recently who are like. very very mad about the way people draw the CCs?? i know i do my fair share of hating on hybrid designs and being the fun police but like. people are genuinely out here accusing others of being Evil for not drawing specific body types to match characters to CCs while in the same breath saying that character/CC divide is obvious. +people being mad about like. arghh ear wings are dumb!! everyone who draws [specific headcanon] should be melted into wax!! so on and so forth

How’re you feeling about the persona characters so far

there are so many characters. i will give my thoughts on the ones i can remember

joker/ren/akira/whatever: WHAT IS GOING ON WITH HIM. theres something under the surface i can FEEL IT something is up with him. i need to know what. he also carries my entire team in battle because i have one of those free personas from the velvet room that i think come with the dlc (??) thats like fuckin level 76 so he does like 500 damage per turn

morgana: thought he was female for the entirety of the first 2 palaces. anyway. personality wise he's nowhere near the most annoying character which is an achievement for a weird animal sidekick. would love to know what the hell is going on with him. becoming more and more convinced he is not in fact human and is actually just like a cat that accidentally gained sentience or something

ryuji: best character in the game thus far and i mean that completely unironically. i love him hes such a good kid... like hes so earnest and genuine and i really believe the whole righteous anger thing coming from him yknow? it's not quite as strong with some of the other characters but his motivation for joining the theives was really clear and well-done

ann: i want to like her so bad. genuinely i do. but she is annoying. it's not her fault tho she could be good i know she could be. she is just unfortunately in a japanese visual novel and therefore she needs to be annoying and have her tits out at all times. like if they would give her a fucking PERSONALITY she would be an infinitely better character but her only hobby is literally Being A Model

yusukue: benched the instant i was allowed to do so. in general i dislike both the edgy-guy archetype and the honor student archetype (on men lol this doesnt apply to you makoto my love <3) and he is just. the worst of the 2 combined plus he says weird shit about ann every 3 minutes. every time he opens his mouth i want to kill him

makoto: QUEEN. her heals save my ass in battle constantly. again she has one of the better-written origin stories of the thieves which puts her pretty high on my list but i also find her connection to sae so interesting!! ive yet to see where it goes but i REALLY hope they follow through with that

akechi: 90% sure he can enter the metaverse, my evidence for this being one singular scene in which it was vaguely implied that he could understand morgana. aside from that im obsessed with him for the same reasons im obsessed with every other detective character ive ever come across in my life. detectives just scratch a special little itch in my brain man idk. hes everything to me and i sincerely hope the game ends with either him dramatically, emotionally killing joker or vice versa a la death note

kasumi: somehow is both the painfully generic love interest character and has more personality than ann. i hope her gymnastics tryouts go ok and my condolences for the crush on a gay man

The plan was originally to have it be completely unofficial and just me in the dc pride festival on an aro flag picnic blanket with some crafts but idk my mental health is crashing and making these things/organizing this may help. idk i want my future to be in community organizing so. it makes me feel good. anyways onto what i was talking about:

So. im deciding if i want to be someone with a table or not, if i want it to be aro or aspec, or if i want to have pride stuff available for donation only or not (aka no money accepted). (idk what to donate towards. maybe just explaining that i made all of this with my own free time/ money and any extra money will get donating to ace and aro advocacy project- which i think is located in the same city as the pride event- or AUREA? or just outright donating but… this all sounds really expensive which im anxious about but. i am okay with outright donating if thats a better idea idk)

I’m not sure if a table costs money or anything, but I dont think aro culture and aro pride should be locked behind a paywall. If I have aro pride stuff available, it would likely be:

bulk purchased silicone rings. the packs of rings dont just come in white, and almost always contain black, but id just have all the colors in a bowl with a sign about the meanings of black and white rings

diy low quality stickers. and im talking printouts and packing tape level quality. id probably also reach out to some aro/aspec artists if theyd be okay with me printing some of their designs for free pride stickers with their @ on the back. again, no profiting off their art, just having subtle aro/aspec options for closeted folks. also obviously the pride flags themselves/ like the heart emojis and stuff. if i get permission for the <2 i also think thatd be funny to have. id try to print off as many of the specific arsospec identities as i could, too.

some mini pride flags. like on the little stick and stuff? i already reached out to somebody about aplatonic and the new aspec flags. these will be on display at minimum, but im tempted to see how much bulk purchasing to give away for free would cost

So, Alternates can feel. To a certain extent. Not in the same way as humans, and they definitely don't have empathy or sympathy. However, they are conditioned to feel things like devotion, a sense of purpose, things like that. Their most powerful emotions are anger, vengeance, and other negatives like that.

The emotional range of an Alternate can depend on their power level, though. So typical drones and mimics who are like a one-time-deal feel basically nothing. They have a purpose, they carry it out, and that's it. Then there are some other Alternates, ones that stick around for longer, that feel a rush or gratification in the fear and carnage they cause, or anger and frustration at the fact that their victim hasn't succumbed to MAD yet, which makes them more aggressive and vengeful. This can be seen in the Alternate that tormented Thatcher regularly and also Cesar's Alternate. Then there's the elders. Gabriel and Six. They're special cases. The two of them have been around the longest and therefore have the most developed emotions. Do either of them care for humanity or the lives of others? No. They have their goal, take the Earth back from humanity. Scald the Earth. Destroy it. Exterminate the human parasites. all that junk yknow yknow. But Gabriel and Six are dedicated to that purpose and are willing to wait the long game to get there.

However, when it comes to Six specifically, the best way I can describe him is that he's the employee that's been at the company for basically just as long as the boss and yet still doesn't get enough recognition. Six is the reason that Alternates are able to use technology to infest faster and easier. He was the one to discover that. Of course, he's the master at it, but other Alternates are able to use televisions as a means of transportation and MAD-inducers.

He's less than thrilled that his sleeper experiment hasn't been going according to plan. Most of the kids don't seem to make it, Gabriel kills most of them due to how far into the darkness they fell. Six telling Adam to "Wake up, I don't want to wake the others" was less of a threat and more of a plea. Adam being the only sleeper to wake up immediately made Six feel an odd attachment to him. He could tell, from early on, that Adam would've been different than the others. It might've been because Gabriel had actually stepped in for Adam's creation this time around. It was basically like "yeah no if this one doesn't fucking work im throwing all ur kids in the fire and you're gonna get ur shit kicked in for wasting my time."

So, while Six is angry that his plan hasn't worked the way he hoped, he's intrigued--maybe even proud--of how Adam has turned out. He's definitely easier on him than Gabriel is. less of a "get your ass out there and kill" and more of a "you need to learn your nature. learn your purpose."

idk it's difficult to explain. Six does still want Adam to go feral and full Alternate, but he's a bit more understanding of Adam needing time than Gabriel is.

ABT THE SWITCH CLIMAX STORY THING. I AGREE WITH U SO MUCH i need more tsumugi and sora interaction please !??! Like it feels like they barely have anything going on sometimes, like they do have interactions but idk its like !? The fact that theyre a trio and yet their relationship feels underdeveloped makes me sad bc. I love both sora and mugi sm!??! Idk if im making sense like i know they do interact and what is there I enjoy (like idk i think its funny how they kinda take turns taking care of each other, tsumugi being his usual mommy self and sora being very like ... "ok senpai lets get u to bed" sometimes LITERALLY) BUT LIKE. idk its not enough especially compared to their respective dynamics with natsume like... yeah. Im not saying their relationship is bad just that it lacks depth and I just wish we could see more of it, more of them bonding without needing natsume so they can truly feel like a trio where everyone gets along and not like a triangle yknow. with natsume and sora they too met in childhood, aswell as natsume being very protective over sora due to his own internal struggles and sora deeply looking up to natsume (and tsumugi ofc! but natsume is his shisho!) which also carries into how they interact

tsumugi and sora dont really have this ?? at least not to the same extent. so i guess in contrast their dynamic ends up feeling shallow. that aswell as shipbait sells and people dont exactly ship those two very often so it tends to take a backseat in favor of natsume pairs JDKHSJKFH I JUST. GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO BOND OVER!!! PROPERLY!!!!!!! since they DONT have the same foundation with each other as they do natsume that makes this a prime opportunity to BUILD ONE!! theres SO much potential for those two but it just never gets utilized properly....... so many missed opportunities............... happyele dont fuck this up for me

i can remember before i even learned to read i was 4 years old and had stories i wanted to tell. i was 12-14 and i blackened journals with poetry and prose, things i would look back on now and think ‘omg cringe’ but in the moment that was my flow and i’ll never judge myself for that. any sort of creative writing project in school was a guaranteed 100 for me, because i took on the assignment like it was my mission from god. when i was 14/15 my best friend was always the one i would send any original writing/stories to bc she would always hype me up and help me talk through my ideas. i owe a lot of my perseverance to her, because she gave me the encouragement i needed to keep pushing myself to get better and better. i have original characters and stories that i started/worked on when i was 14-18, as well as a lot of stream of consciousness poetry and a few other abstract ocs that i wrote when i was 18-20 and going thru crazy shit w friends and almost-never-quite-lovers. i started this blog when i was 16 and mainly used it as a fandom blog to write star wars fanfiction, and i wouldnt say i established any sort of foothold as a fan content creator, but i published a lot of stuff here and on ao3, ao3 who is my wife and my beloved angel forever and ever til (hopefully only my) death do us part. long live, amen. my inspiration to write ebbs and flows so i don’t push it when it isn’t working for me. for like a year i created content for pedro pascal’s cinematic universe of characters™ when i got super into the mandalorian, but then my interest for it faded. i also started doing drugs again which always hinders my writing and that’s actually a huge reason why i’m sober now, and a huge motivation to stay sober. then i somehow went through an mlp phase like an insane person, and im still working on a collaborative project for rarijack (bless) w an artist who i met via that fandom. the lesbian/sapphic/wlw content creators in mlp fandom on tumblr are actually epic tho they are few and far between. quite a few hidden gems, but v hidden bc there are so many creators and not everyone gets the attention they deserve. mlp didn’t spark my desire to create fan content/fic quite like the locked tomb tho, which is my current obsession and also permanently altered my brain chemistry like nothing i’ve ever read before and oh my god in like 3ish months ive literally written probably upwards of 80k words of a modern/college au that i’m still working the kinks out of. and it is. mostly smut because i saw these lesbians and i was like yall deserve to kiss and have narsty (meaningful) dyke sex and also hold each other for 17hours straight and not have to deal with so much shit. but then again i also am putting them through their own trials and tribulations in the au. so. yknow. some characters beg to be traumatized. it’s a character study, among other things. lmao. but yeah i havent posted anything for tlt yet bc one im just a little bit scared of the fandom on here and also ive set myself with this goal that i want to FINISH a story and publish it bc i always end up posting my stuff without finishing and when i read fic i like it to have a promise of an ending, so i also want to emulate that as a writer, even just on a personal level of wanting to say i’m capable of starting and finishing something meaningful like that. i also havent ever posted original work/poetry (maybe some poetry i cant remember) bc it’s. idk more near and dear to me than fanfiction, and i consider everything i write very near and dear, so i guard the og stuff w my life lmao.

damn. sorry for the life story but. it really is just a fundamental part of who i am. i’m in the process of becoming a kindergarten teacher and one thing i’ve always wanted to do was to learn how to create stories that are relevant for my students. i’ve also always wanted to create a children’s book; one of my lovely coworkers has a degree in studio art and she’s dreamt of being an illustrator for a children’s book, so i’ve been seriously considering doing that with her at some point in the future, once my life is more settled and i’m able to focus on it and give it the attention it needs <3 thanks for your curiosity hehehe
