A sensation caused you to stir, the garbled plotline to your dream fizzling out of your head as soon as your eyes opened. Two grey-ish eyes with muddied hues stared down at you from beneath white fringe, hand outstretched, fingers brushing over your forehead as he leaned over the back of the couch. You were still getting...used to this, to his presence. It was unusual seeing him taking something so seriously, a firm frown on his face.

Solomon sighed. "I thought I told you to not sleep on the couch like that. You could catch a cold."

"I...just drifted..." You tried to explain, ready to roll your eyes. You weren't nearly weak enough to get sick taking a nap on the couch. As a human himself, you'd think he would agree with your resilience, but alas...

"You're working yourself too hard," he concluded, shaking his head a bit, a sternness to his words you'd only learned he was capable of after you'd become his apprentice. It only seemed to grow ten-fold after you started living together in Cocytus Hall.

"Correction," you interjected, catching him at an intake of breath, ready to lecture you further. "The brothers are working me too hard. And then of course Barbatos and Diavolo request to see me at the castle, and then Simeon and Luke always like to include me in their own plans. And RAD and..." A heavy sigh left your lungs. They were always rowdy, but something in the air was stirring up more trouble than usual.

A smile seemed to creep it's way across Solomon's face. The kind of smile that you had learned to connect to his irritation. Not to be confused with his mischievous smirk, which appeared very similar. A man of many smiles, this one. "Well, I'm sure they all can go without you for one evening." His D.D.D. was already in his hand, as if he was already about to send a message to every individual in the Devildom that you were not to be disturbed.

There was the subtle hint of a pout on his lips, which caused you to chuckle a bit. "Are you jealous?"

Called out but not shaken, he put his phone back in his pocket before leaning further over the couch cushions, his head hovering a few feet above yours. "Is it such a crime to want to keep you home more?" He sighed wistfully and dramatically. "I only did come all the way through space and time to save you." He noticed the look on your face at the reminder of just how out of your depth you both were. Suddenly, the backs of his fingers touched your cheek. "It gets lonely here when you're gone..." Solomon muttered. "I feel this...coldness, this emptiness. And when I think about it, I can only imagine how you feel... coming back to sleep in a house that's not your home. Missing the people you love."

"Solomon..."

"I promise you, I'll make things okay. And in the meantime, I'll make Cocytus Hall a place you can look forward to coming back to." A single finger twirled around a small strand of your hair. "So please don't stay away for too long." His face hovered lower. "And spend time with me more often?" The inflection at the end was questioning, almost pleading. He looked in your eyes for the go-ahead to move forward, but you took the chance for him. Your lips both brushed together in a tender kiss, the top-half of his body fully bent over the couch. You imagined in a bit of humor one of his legs bending up like in silly rom-com movies. When he pulled apart, he had a satisfied look on his face, but a new blush to accompany it. "And no more napping on the couch, otherwise I'll have to carry you to bed next time."

"Sure you will, old man."

Food Bank Fundraiser

Hi everyone!

First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone who's been leaving such nice tags/comments on stuff I've posted! It's been really encouraging (o^▽^o)

Anyway, I think we all know it's very dark days on the economic front for many of us. So as such, I'd like to help raise some funds for Food Banks Canada! In exchange for you making a donation to the food bank, I will draw a character suggestion!

I know this is not really the sort of thing I normally do or post here but... many folks are struggling to put food on the table right now, and the food bank is a source of support for many and provides an absolute necessity. I've seen many people struggling in my own city, and food security has become an even bigger issue than it already was in the last couple of years with the food bank struggling to keep up with demand. Of course, food security is an issue across the whole country that's putting a huge strain on food banks, with nearly 5% of the entire population making use of food banks monthly, and 23% of the population reporting food insecurity (CBC, 2024; Global News, 2024). Unsurprisingly, those who are already most disadvantaged suffer the effects of food scarcity even more (Statistics Canada, 2023). To make matters more desperate, Canada's food bank system is on the brink of collapse (CTV News, 2024).

I know this isn't going to something big enough to change the world or anything, but being able to make even a small impact for individual people is important too!

Of course, I'm sure people aren't just in it for a reward, but rewards make things all the sweeter, right?

For those who want to contribute, I'll take a character suggestion and add it to a poll (depending on the number of contributors, it may be split up into multiple polls), and then I'll draw as many as I can from top to bottom ranking! If you contribute, please send me a DM with your donation receipt and your character idea! They won't necessarily all be drawn in the same style, and they'll be done according to how much time I've got. (I know that commissions are probably the biggest incentive, but realistically, I struggle to get them done quickly and they're probably not that affordable to everyone)

If you prefer SFW or NSFW, you can let me know (But NSFW will be posted to Cohost). If you make a bigger contribution, I'll reach out to you and ask if you wanna see more specifics/details in your piece. How's that for sweetening the pie? :3

Hello friend, I am excited to introduce to you the joys of epistolary games!

From the Petals to the Leaves, by somewhere with stories.

This is a two player game about writing to a loved one while you are apart. Throughout the game you will write to each other while in different gardens, surrounded by plants and flowers of your choice.

This looks to be a pretty small game, but I think it fits the mood of writing to a loved one, with a concrete topic to base your conversations around - the plants in your gardens. I don’t own this game but I own a similar one by the same creator, so I’m assuming that the game provides you with a prompt list for each letter you send each-other. You can create your characters slowly as you write, uncovering bits and pieces about each-other through your fictional personas. If you just want something a little extra to flavour your letters to each-other, this might be worth looking at.

Soulum Scriptum, by Radmad.

Featuring the art of Marisa Bruno, Soulum Scriptum is a letter writing game for two or more players. You are isolated and alone, until a mysterious courier arrives at your door. They give you a proposition: write letters for someone just like you and they will bring you letters in return.

Develop the broken world and the haven that protects you, all while fighting despair and taking what hope you can find in your new connection across time and space.

This is a game of connection, between two isolated individuals who are struggling with despair. There are pages for various steps of the game, from world and character creation, to how to manage your feelings after your first letter. There’s also instructions for what to do when you fill certain tracks, including the track for your Haven (your home) and your Hopes (lines and pieces of the letters you receive that give you hope). If you like emotional games that have great potential to tell a story that grows brighter as you play, I recommend Soulum Scriptum.

Talking Thunder, by Eleanor Hingley.

‘Talking Thunder’ is a two-player correspondence RPG about finding connection in a dystopian world.

As the world changes, you never know what news each letter from your only friend will bring…

Another game about connection, this time in a post-apocalypse of some kind. I’m curious about how the letters are meant to reach each-other in the fiction of this game, although I suspect that ultimately that is up to the two of you!

We Are Ciphers, by Jgurantz.

We Are Ciphers is a 2-player letter-writing game where you craft a story using coded messages sent through the mail. You and your partner both covet the Prize, which you believe will transform your lives for the better. But acquiring it is an extremely tricky operation. Many things stand in your way, including the Target.

This is a letter-writing game with an added layer of complexity, because both of you could be writing in code! The code part is optional, but the premise of the game is that you are two spies trying to get your hands on the Prize - whatever you two decide that may be. The game comes with a list of popular media for inspiration, as well as a series of checkboxes for you to tick off to help you create a game that would be fun for the two of you. There’s also a number of worksheets to help you build your world, craft your codes, and create your characters. If you would like a fair amount of guidance as to how to play the game, We Are Ciphers might be up your alley.

The Wanderers, by AdventureByMail.

You and your friend wait to board two ARK-4 Civilian Class Shuttles charted for new colonies in the hinterlands of space. Though you will be several light-years apart, you promise to keep in touch through the interstellar communication network known as the Unified Starways Parley System. You'll use this network to tell each other about the life you build and the love you discover in the far reaches of space…

This creator makes a number of games designed for long-distance play, so if you like The Wanderers, you might want to check out some of their other work as well! The game itself is small enough to fit on a brochure, so it should be easy to print out and keep somewhere for easy reference. There are roll tables to help you create a character, and some advice on how to write your first letter. Following letters will be provided prompts based on a deck of playing cards, with special rules for drawing Aces. If you like using a bit of randomization to help drive a story, this game might be for you!

Games I've Recommended in the Past

I've played The Reaper's Almanac with a friend before and I really really love the premise of it. It has a chance to dive into some pretty traumatic material, however, as it is about death, so make sure to talk about your partner about the things you'd like to steer clear of if you play this game.

i need help. i’m so slow at unpacking the songs & their lyrics but you guys seem so confident that Kaylor lives. mind sharing lyrics or interpretations that you make you feel confident?

i think i speak for a lot of kaylors when i say we weren’t going into this album thinking we were all in some make or break situation, where the songs would be what decides whether or not kaylor lives. and we haven’t come out of it feeling different! so for starters, the very process of processing the songs is a bit different, i think, than the process suggested in your question.

this post got kinda long so i’m going to put it under the cut! and just a tl;dr that i am just talking about this aforementioned process. i’ve started writing out interpretations for the songs that have caught my kaylor attention but it’s taking time, so i thought id go ahead and post the other aspect of my answer in the meantime

a big part of kaylor interpretation is taking a look at what taylor and karlie were doing over the period of time that an album was written and the lead up to album rollout, and seeing if it looks like karlie knew in advance about what would be on the album, or how it would be promoted. the fundamental idea is that if taylor and karlie truly hated each other like everyone insists, that they wouldn’t go out of their way to drop hints or allow one another to drop hints.

so for example, karlie started wearing this pair of sunglasses with the product name “poet” before the name of the album (the tortured poets department) was ever known. she walked in two schiaparelli runway shows (the significance being that these days its rare for her to walk a show, and she’s never walked for schiaparelli before although she’s been to their shows in years of late), one of these schiaparelli shows was specifically alien themed, which lines up with the theming of Down Bad, and then next taylor announced the tortured poets department at the grammys wearing custom schiaparelli (i don’t think taylor’s ever worn the house before). so like, these sorts of things don’t make sense until later but they are signs we look to as a backdrop when going into an album. they are a sort of most recent indicator of the state of the union.

historically (especially post 2019 when what i call the scorched earth narrative was disseminated) people looking to disprove kaylor tend to brush off this stuff (twinning, similar theming or messaging in social media, etc) as oh it’s coincidental, but even if it’s not, any kaylor things that happen now are just because taylor is grieving and desperate for karlie and/or karlie wants notoriety because she wants… more money. but as i’ve said and as many have said for the past 5 years, it makes no sense and is such a misread of drivers for karlie and taylor. i beg people to try and put themselves in karlie’s shoes and ask themselves, would you endure all the hate for… more… money?? would you fly across the country and go to taylor’s concert two weeks post-partum, in a state of physical disrepair just to… spite her?? and have millions of people send hate at you for it..?

anyway, i know this is different than lyric analysis but it’s an integral part of kaylor analysis so i wanted to highlight it. i’d also point out that a whole bunch of people are currently analyzing her entire back catalog re: matty context clues in the same ways so 🤷🏻‍♀️ i think it’s a natural tendency for a lot of people— with kaylor though it’s outlawed.

and i want to reiterate that i think observing the time surrounding the album is a particularly worthwhile thing to do because it takes into account a more recent period of time than that of which the songs represent. i think people can get tunnel vision analyzing an album or individual songs and lose sight of the fact that we are here now after the album has been written. the lyrics are not the most recent thing!

another point i feel that needs mentioning is that with kaylor, among kaylors, we are looking at recent albums more for signs of taylor weaving a story of them that leads to them getting back together publicly. the idea that we are probably not going to get some big reveal that oh everything prior was fake! we have always been together! but rather some separate telling of events that preserves the integrity of people involved to some extent. so there are likely several layers going on when looking at songs. a mix of truth and augmented truths. songs can be useful towards meeting an end goal without telling the entire truth, while the fact that they are useful is still an indicator of the meta truth. i know this sounds a little convoluted... but thats alright im not invested in proving it to people 🙈 (nor do i think it should be provable!!)

lastly, while i am still compiling all my kaylor observations from each song, i did want to point out the obvious: that my understanding of the album (and i assume this is true for more kaylors as well) is colored by the inclusion of the song Robin. …i guess i will mince my words a little bit because i consider it a sensitive subject but basically, it’s a song about something that we would expect taylor would be singing about if they’re together in the way we understand it to be, given what we have been shown. and some of the lyrics are so specific to this… far flung idea… and such a contemporary development… that it sort of works to recontextualize any of the songs on ttpd that would otherwise feel breakuppy? because it pushes the story so far forward in matching our understanding. the hardest songs are easier to see as emblematic of the past, and the path that led us here to the present. in this way, at least for me, it makes it easier to appreciate the kaylor easter eggs going on in the songs as emblematic of kaylor, as opposed to litigating them and filing them one by one, because i truly believe taylor would not release Robin if kaylor was actually over. same goes for recurring motifs throughout the album (and midnights, and you might also include folkevermore as well) related to what robin is about. might sound weird to say but you could almost make a drinking game out of the motif, honestly, given how often she does it throughout the album.

i know the whole thing is wild. i have accepted this and im not out here to push it on people 😌 though i do leave the porch light on for people passing by. because for years now, with each new album people continue to say oh this is the kaylor breakup album, oh she’s finally over it, and then i guess they get amnesia by the time the next album comes along and kaylor themes yet again persist. and idk, to me, kaylor just being together this whole time is actually one of the least complicated outcomes.

anyways, in conclusion, apologies for not providing a song by song analysis right away 🙏 but i wanted to put out this part in the meantime. i don’t expect everyone to agree with this premise but i think it’s key to understanding how a lot of us approach this album. i hope it provides a little insight into my perspective! 🫶

BRINGING DOWN OTHERS IS LOW VALUE

Today I had the joy of getting a message from a nice young lady who wanted to thank me for my advice and sweetly asked me if I wanted to be friends with her ❤️

This made me understand that having a platform may be a way to share our individual opinions but we should have in mind that, especially on Tumblr, many people come across our content and we have responsibility to correctly and ethically influence them by adding value to their lives.

So, I want to thank every single one of you for following me and sending sweet messages. All 1,205 of you. We are a small corner on the internet and I don't care about appearing "mysterious" and "unapproachable" to my digital friends.

Have you noticed something? People who are high value and successful are always eager to extend their hand to other people full of passion and ambition. They become mentors and leaders for other women and men. They set the standard by example. Usually these people are kind hearted, yet know how and when to set boundaries.

All in all, they don't bring other people down, they build them up.

This women and men build ladders for others to climb at the top with them but they know, they have to protect themselves and their loved ones from vultures, because someone can bring you down even if you are thousand meters above them. They just have to pull the rug underneath your feet.

Someone who is high, won't try to lower someone else's value. Someone who is low is not accustomed to the loneliness of the top. They want to surround themselves with other low value individuals to feel powerful. That's the pack mentality and that's why mean girls/boys hang in crowds.

We all had that "friend". She was insecure but always downplayed. She was always jealous of other people and you could see it but you never thought she was jealous of you. Why would she be? When you talked about your crush/business idea/ambitions it was always : "Ew he is ugly.", "Who are you Elon Musk?", "A law degree? You don't even know how to think critically.".

That friend and you fell apart when you started investing in yourself, and that's when the veil fell off and you saw other girls like that.

The pick-me girls.

A couple days ago, I had a "History Of Economic Thought" exam (It's a very interesting topic to research and if a similar class is available to you, I suggest that you take it!). It was the last one I had to take in person.

I felt awful, anxious and tired. Two weeks of hard work, studying everyday, staying up till light came through the blinds and commuting two hours back and forth to and from school had made me emotionally and mentally tired. I needed some loving from my cat Mr. Mau and a toffee nut latte.

I did my 10k steps by the sea and decided to open up Pinterest and make myself feel a bit better. I searched up "fall aesthetic", "studying aesthetic", "toffee nut latte from Starbucks" etc.

Under a pin there was this comment by a girl calling all women who are "obsessed" with fall, Starbucks and cute photos of pumpkins, "silly a** basic white b*tches".

I then went on TikTok and came across a video of a woman who was being shamed for having a 35k engagement ring (you know which one I'm talking about, the one her man, an amazing king ate the interviewer up and left no crumbs). A woman had commented "she is a gold digger and when he cheats on her with a good woman she'll get what she deserves".

Excuse me what ? So a good woman is one who tries to please others by accepting less than she deserves. I'm not one who would want a 35k engagement ring, buy me a 3k one and 32k of gold for investment purposes, but if her men believed she deserved that, then so be it.

Why are you trying to get picked? Do you think men marry the good girl? Do you think any man who will only see you as an innocent, precious lovely angel will be able to take all of you?

These women are playing a dangerous game. They so badly want to get picked and mostly they get picked but for all the wrong reasons. They love how guys on podcasts praise them online for being "feminine". They love the attention of boys who find them cool.

Sweetheart, you need a man who will find your rage and your sweetness sacred.

You need parents who will understand that you have your own dreams, needs and that you are not just an extension of their egos.

These women and the so-called "good guys" (uhh don't let me get started on those") are sad inside. They would love to have your own wildness and freedom. They feel jealous that you are still that magical bitch holding your pumpkin spice latte with a fresh new set and while doing kick boxing on Wednesday afternoon.

Girls, watch some Legally Blonde. It's the literal blueprint 😉 It made me come to terms with my girly nature as a girl who grew up a tomboy.

You don't have to be just bubbly and feminine. You don't have to be just a dark feminine, femme fatale. You can be all of those things because we are multilayered beings. Lastly, we have the gift of metamorphosis. Don't be afraid to transform and break the mold.

Part One — Main Focus will be Joe Liebgott, Edward Shames, and Jewish Identity. Part two will focus on MoTa.

First let me start by saying— these are thoughts that have been forming for a long time. There are things I will say that I've wanted to say for a long time. This is just me publishing my personal opinion with subsequent facts of the matter. However, you can differentiate the two. Put the facts above my opinion and if you believe I am wrong, feel free to send me a message in my ask box about it!

First and foremost being Jewish is a spectrum. There are ethnic Jews who are secular but stay within the community, there are practising ethnic Jews who vary their degrees of religious adherence, there are ethnic Jews who are Christian converts, and there are converts who are not ethnically Jewish. We are an ethnoreligious group— like the Druze or the Yazidis. There are many forms of our religion and many different cultural practices influenced by where they lived. The main groups we have are Ashkenazim; Diaspora that lives in Eastern Europe and everyone uses them as the staple of Jewry, they're not, they're just a part of the community. Mizrahim; Diaspora that resided in the Middle East and Northern African. They have suffered through many genocides (as have the rest shhh). Sephardim; Diaspora that resided in the Iberian Peninsula before the Spanish inquisition fucked them over and they ended up in the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa, and anywhere else. Finally, there are Central Asian Jews who are often a mixture of the Ashkenazi and Mizrahi diaspora. A great example of these are the Bukharan Jews. Whilst they're their own community within our community; Many Iraqi, Iranian, and Ashki Jews ended up in their community due to genocides in the countries they lived in.

So let's talk about some of our Jewish characters in BoB and some important information!!

Liebgott’s mother was Jewish. Yes, he was raised catholic but allow me to remind you of the statement we are an ethnoreligious group. He may not have spoken Yiddish but he did speak a dialect of German because of where his parents were from. Let's be real, speaking your parent's first language at home is normal. If Liebgott wasn't ethnically Jewish he wouldn't have been pissed off at Guarnere’s blatant antisemitism towards Sobel by calling him a Son of Abraham (oy vey).

Joe may not have known anything about the religion. Joe may not have gone to shul. But neither did Billy Joel and he was similarly raised Catholic by a Jewish family and still he has said he feels connected to the community. Joel's family went to Cuba to escape Nazis as they were a German Jewish family. If he didn't feel this connection then the real-life Liebgott wouldn't have fought Guarnere, right?

We note him as being exceptionally hateful towards Nazis. We see him as this feisty individual who could initiate a fight with anyone and might just win. The first time we see the war’s true emotional toll on Liebgott is when he breaks down at the camp. Though, I'd also argue that him not getting help when injured is a big sign of his deteriorating mental health.

Sit down because we are about to take a very emotional ride which will give you insight to any Ashkenazi or Sephardic individual who had a family member perish in the Sho’ah.

As only two generations away from the Sho’ah in my family, I know where my family died and I know where they were from. The most painful thing for me is to look at the train loads of Hungarian Jews arriving at Auschwitz. That is my family. At a young age I saw that film, I remember silently crying as I questioned if my family was captured in this film. If I see them just before they're matched to their death. Now imagine being Liebgott. Imagine being any Jewish individual that came across a camp— death or work camp. Imagine knowing this could've been you if your family didn't leave their homeland. Or worse, knowing that whatever family they left behind is dead. Dead and gone. Unnamed. Unknown. Stripped of their identity and in some camps they're just a number for ease of figuring out who has or has not died. Not every camp used this system, but some did. The camp easy company came across was not one of these but… It was still a camp. I think many people don't realise the sheer amount of camps and ghettos that were spread across the whole of Europe. According to USHMM’s Encyclopedia— over 44,000 camps were established. Additionally there were around 1,000 ghettos. So, we will establish our base estimated number at 45,000. Meaning the likelihood of accidentally coming across one was generally higher than what one may believe. Especially depending on the area you were in.

On the other hand someone who is hardly spoken of; Edward Shames was a practising Jew. He toasted his son’s bar mitzvah with hitler's cognac. Which is such a fuck you to hitler. He was as religious as he could be during the war. I do not remember if or how he reacted to the concentration camp during the miniseries. I am a bit ignorant of him, I know some information but not enough to speak any further. Both Liebgott and Edward Shames by Halacha are Jewish. Liebgott's mum is a Jew, so he's a Jew. Edward Shames' parents are both Jewish. Even though to a secular person they are not viewed as being equally Jewish... In my eyes, they kind of are.

Hey Mamaspeckles. Sorry a discord friend of gramma’s again. So she got incredibly scared and freaked out last night because somehow, someone had figured out who she was, despite herself always sending messages anonymously.

But I’m just sending a message because she hasn’t been able to stop crying, that person (who ironically was anonymous on her blog when they sent her a message), that person was downright nasty to her. Basically called her a ‘cringe r*t*rd who harasses girls and makes them uncomfortable’. I’m heartbroken and I’m angry for her, but now she’s got it in her head that she’s so worried she’s coming across as harassing you and annoying you. She still really really wants to send her ideas to you, and she absolutely adores you and the things you make. But she’s just terrified she’s being too intense and too much. It was a massive breech of privacy for that anonymous to find her and attack her the way they did, and I am so upset over this and I am so so sorry for sending this but we know you care for her, she will be back! She’s just having a little rest is all. But we all want you both to make sure to take care of yourselves. She says she’ll be back within a day or so, but she wanted me or one of us to say to just let you know that she hasn’t been scared off or that she’s stopping sending things. But URGH I wanna fight that person who sent that to her

I'm truly sorry to hear what happened to Gramma... It's incredibly upsetting that someone would violate her privacy and attack her like that after I have expressed to others and even gramma that I enjoy and am not uncomfortable with the messages and stories I get. Please let her know that I adore her and appreciate her sharing her ideas with me. Her messages always brighten my day and even make me blush, and she never comes across as harassing or annoying. Whoever did this to her is despicable, and I share your anger towards them. Please tell Gramma to take all the time she needs, and when she's ready, I'll be here eagerly awaiting her return. She's a cherished part of our community, and I will not let some cowardly harasser drive her away from doing the things she loves.

And to the person who caused emotional damage this Is a sad and pathetic loser. You are deeply despised by me and many others and you can only preform disappointing and unacceptable acts. You are such a lowlife individual that you would go to such lengths to harass Gramma Speckles. Such behavior is not only cowardly but also reprehensible. Gramma Speckles is a valued and loved person to me, and her contributions are appreciated by me and many others. Harassment and personal attacks have no place here or anywhere else. I hope the individual responsible realizes the gravity of their actions and seeks some form of help for their slow minded behavior. May you be punished in the eyes of god on judgement day. I love the Padalecki's a lot both Jared n Gen. I like them both individually and as a team. Having said that I did resonate with your post a lot coz I feel some of things that you said do resonate in terms of what we've seen lately.

You said something like addiction or lack of freedom - is this wrt Jared? Given his MH struggles he definitely has to manage and regulate his life very much hence the need for that rigourous routine that he follows. The fact that he is unable to do that due to his knee must not be so great.

This card according to many sources often suggests there are either problems with addiction and possibly obsessions or there's a sense of oppression, dependency and perhaps a sense of frustration with limitations and a lack of freedom. This card can also suggest there are some hidden desires and fantasies that are 'tempting" to fulfill. I recall a quote I read where he said something asking the lines of his heaven he imagines for him is being able to love freely. I don't believe that this is related to Jensen as some people believe. I do believe however Jared has more subliminal messages in what he says than people realize.

2. What do you think are the things Jared regrets? Is it perhaps relating to SPN n not leaving early enough?

3. They obviously love and respect each other a lot but do you think they are both chasing different professional goals. Could this be a reason for the loss of their intimacy?

4. I know that Jared credits her with saving his life and making a lot of sacrifices for the family. Could it be that it's what driving her to have her own identity through the social circle that she is trying to build really quickly? N by doing so she is leaving herself vulnerable without proper checks and balances in terms of who she lets in. She is obviously very beautiful along with having a great personality so yeah ppl can become obsessed with her.

Coz even I've been getting this feeling a lot lately that she shouldn't be posting as much as she is. I am a very intuitive person as well so the fact that both us feel this way is making feel very nervous.

5. In opposition to her, Jared has shut his social interactions down and is really maintaining a low profile. I feel there is a story here. I intuitively feel that he is working on something massive away from acting more on the lines of producing and therefore SM and fans are just not his focus at the moment. Do you think he is about to land on a huge deal or Career opportunity?

6. Finally last but not the least, what do you think about the J2 relationship at the moment. They go through phases of either being very touchy feely or having an awkward energy between themselves. Do you think they will ever truly forgive each other for prequelgate? Will work together on SPN again. My intuition says that SPN has breathed it's last with J2. I think they could bring it back with Jared at the helm with a recast of young Sam n Dean ( with a bit of a fresh story take).

First of all, thank you for sending in this ask! I'm glad to hear that my post resonated with you, although I agree with you that in some respects it's worrying (Gen needing to post less because of the people watching her a bit too much). When I speak of The Devil card for Jared, I believe the lack of freedom tidbit applies. Jared comes across as a dreamer and an idealist to me big time, and I believe he probably envisioned his life as being different from what it is on a more personal level. Sometimes people get so "addicted" to daydreaming and "living in their heads" to where they can become out of touch with reality. I do believe however this reading does tie to Jensen in a few ways. One of them being that JA's drinking, which I do believe is one of the things that's starting to wear and tear on the J2 relationship.

Career wise, I think he seems pretty content where his career is headed right now for the most part. I think because of his knee and possibly some other health conditions he has that aren't really discussed in public that this could contribute to this feeling of "being trapped". I was told several times in the last year that Jared needs to check in on his respiratory health..

I know this might feel out of order as far as numerically goes so I apologize if that bothers you, but I wanted to tie the relevant questions together in this ask to try making it as short yet deep and thorough as possible. The things I think he regrets right now pertain to his personal life. Prequel gate certainly did not help matters, let alone the fact The Winchesters was objectively speaking a fail. I believe the fact J2 didn't make TW together does speak of how tightly tied the SPN fandom is to J2 specifically.

I think that there were many things SPN never touched on or barely discussed that could revive SPN (ex. fairy tablet and Faye realm, how souls are really created, Chuck turned out to be a false God, Dean's death and Sam's life afterwards were just a dream, storylines like this could be done to revive SPN). I've made some posts about my own experiences and what I know about "the other side" that could be storylines on their own. The writers of SPN and believe it or not The Winchesters generally had decent "divine hearing" as they picked up on things about "the other side" that others did not.

As far as the J2 relationship, I think one of the biggest things Jared likely regrets how things are between him and JA right now behind closed doors (some of what we see publicly is definitely smoke and mirrors). I highly suspect that there's a 3rd party that's driving a wedge between them, a woman... for those reading this I am not saying it is Danneel because it's not mainly her from what Poseidon's told me. However, Danneel is not helping matters, and frankly should've had NOTHING to do with The Winchesters or SPN at all. I suspect JA's personal life choices that people aren't aware of but some bloggers (some of them also being seers) here on Tumblr speculated on are impacting the J2 relationship more heavily than people are aware of.

I did not mention in the last ask this tidbit of information BUT I also got the 6 of Pentacles card, as seen in the photo above. In my deck the Tarot Nova, this card is portrayed as a loaf of bread. The general meaning of this card is this is a card of giving and receiving but can also connotate to one-sided charity (or possibly ulterior motives behind one's generosity), self-care, and unpaid debts. On a surface level, this would pertain possibly to Jared reaping the benefits of what he's sowed in the past as I do think his career is on a high note.

HOWEVER, in the Tarot Nova this particular card is portrayed as looking like a loaf of bread. For some reason when I received this reading I felt like this particular card has a different meaning and it was hardcore standing out to me for some reason. On a hunch, I looked up the Instagram selfie a fan took with Jensen and looked at the OP's profile. The bible verse 2 Corinthians 9:10 was quoted on his profile. Doing a quick Google search, I saw that it says this: "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness."

Some people might say well JA is greedy and that this bible verse can't possibly be applicable. I've learned when it comes to working with deities including Poseidon (Jared's higher self), Hermes and Hades (Jensen's higher selves) and really all other deities, you can't really take things at face value and have to look at how things are connected. This connection signifies that JA and JP are more tied together spiritually than people realize (were actually supposed to incarnate as 2 souls in 1 man but things didn't quite go according to plan), which can explain why they are at times very "in sync" and not realize it...

Okay now with the Padalecki's marriage, from a psychological point of view many people who are parents feel a loss of freedom. Parenting is the hardest job there is, everyone's got opinions on it but no one's situation is the same. As far as career goes, I think that it may be a small contributing factor. I think however that where things are not so great is there's too much care and focus on public image. Jared's comfort is in wearing the beanie this fandom is well aware of. I saw in the book review video Gen told him to not put it on, which is rather puzzling.

I think that when Jared was gone a lot this may have hurt things but in a video someone sent me a few weeks back that Gen made (albeit while drunk clearly) in response to someone asking how she handles Jared being gone all the time, Jared and her agreed that he would not be gone out of the house for over 2 weeks at a time, and also quietly said "it's in our contract". This may in part explain why Jared always flew home while they were in Canada filming SPN "to be with his family". As far as the "contract" goes, a lot of people will say "TOLD YOU IT WAS A PR MARRIAGE!" Reality is, when it comes to affluent people many will come up with prenuptial agreements including some expectations and "requirements" in the marriage prior to getting married and what they want to happen should they get divorced (who gets what).

What people don't understand is that if there are any ridiculous stipulations in a so called "prenup", such as not going over a certain weight or demanding sex X number of times a week (looking at you Jennifer Lopez), this can actually make it so a prenup is ruled unenforceable by a judge. Prenups also can't dictate things after divorce like child support, child care or how much time each parent spends with their child(ren).

I think Jared is focusing a lot on his career more and that he is working on something behind the scenes. With what's going on right now however with the actors strike and now the writer's strike I do think that this is not likely the whole story. I strongly suspect a lot of the problems he is struggling with are personal (externally and internally), and not so much career or even financially. Almost half of the cards I saw going back to the reading I did were cups, which is the suit in tarot that pertains to matters of the heart and a couple of wands.

Gen is trying to create an image for herself outside of being known as "Jared Padalecki's wife", which I don't think Jared minds. I do think however Gen is more sheltered and in ways moreso than others her age group are and that we seem to mutually feel more comfortable with. The visions I've been having of a dark haired woman in a bar with a man approaching her rather aggressively have been very vivid I'd say over the last 3-4 months. It's interesting you say you've been having these feelings a lot lately, not sure how long they've been around for. I mentioned the pendulum/abc chart reading I got about the hellhound watching over Gen specifically especially when Jared is gone was a highly worrisome reading I got about a week and a half or so ago, and then I received that initial ask about if I've done a tarot reading on Jared and Gen days later? Weird timing if you ask me...

in picka: 30 days to love, you play as yeonwoo ha, a university student and artist taking part in TDL, a dating reality game in which 4 men and 4 women are placed in chats where they all get to know each other, play games, and earn opportunities to talk 1 on 1 with their love interests or even take them on dates "irl"!

over the course of 30 in-game days, participants in TDL send gifts and anonymous messages, go on group and individual dates, and eventually begin to pair off based on your choices. as yeonwoo, you're able to pursue all 4 of the male love interests, 3 of which have both normal and best endings. no spoilers, but i will introduce them under the cut at the end. the girls are great too, btw, even if you can't date them </3.

the game translation is excellent, even down to each character having their own distinct typing style. all the characters are distinct and feel like a group of real friends in every chatroom!

it's not a long game, but it has a lot of replay value, since so many of the chats are specific to each route - there are also several side stories, a secret ending, and 3 after ending stories for the best ends!

1. day five

it's here! the first chapter of my bbu story featuring vanessa + juniper, which I'm tentatively calling "imperfectly consistent". this story is heavily inspired by many of the great pet whump series and other whump writings I've discovered in the last few months, especially those by @maracujatangerine and @whumpzone as well as @justbreakonme , @haro-whumps , @emmettnet and many, many others. this is my first time writing or posting anything like this, so please feel free to send me feedback and tell me what you think!

This entire story comes with major content warnings for drug and alcohol abuse, as well as the standard box boy universe fare: pet whump, dehumanization, conditioning, etc. Individual chapters will have specific content warnings and tags as well; please do tell me if there are any I need to add.

“Shit. Shit.”

“What’s up?” asks the voice on the video call.

Vanessa clasps a hand over her mouth and breathes out hard through her nose, eyes wide and laser-focused on the middle distance. “Fuck. Okay. You know that… that dude on the shelter site?”

“The one who you said was in there longer than usual?”

“Yeah. He’s still there.”

“Still? How many days has it been now?”

“Five.”

The silence hums between them like a gathering storm.

“I’ve never seen anyone stay there five days before. I, I’ve been watching the site for months and I’ve barely seen anyone get to four. If he doesn’t get picked up by tomorrow…” Vanessa inhales through her nose. “Rose, I gotta do something.”

“You mean like… adopt him?”

Vanessa twitches at the term. “Fuck, no. I’d literally be so bad at being a rescuer. But like… maybe I can find someone to take him? I mean, shit, I could cover the fees for them, I could even pick him up and keep him here until they could come get him, I just… I can’t let a person die like that.”

“Listen, this is maybe weird but…”

“...yeah, that kind of Pet. But he’s a rescue, and…”

“...no, you wouldn’t even have to be here by tomorrow, I could pick him up for you and—”

“You do understand this is a seven-day kill shelter?”

“…Hello?”

Vanessa stares hard at her phone. There’s one last call she could make; one she really, really doesn’t want to. But a life—someone else’s life—is quite literally on the line. Desperate times, and all that shit.

She takes a deep breath and dials.

“Hey, M—hello? …of course. Bonjour, Noémie. Is Victoria available today? …no, of course not. What about tomor—right, uh huh, yeah. Okay. Well… I mean, you wouldn’t be interested in adopting a pet, would you? …yeah, of course not, never mind. Au revoir.”

So much for that.

They reconvene the video call hours from when they left off, Vanessa spent and Roselle somber. “I called every person I could think of, Rose. I’m so tired.” She looks it: pale, drained, practically vanishing in her chair. “Please tell me you have better news.”

Roselle shakes her head grimly. “I put the message out on rescuetok, but nothing so far. I don’t know if it’s realistic to find someone through there on this kind of time.”

“What about your parents?”

“I’m sorry, Ness. I asked. They said no.”

“Oh, come on!” Vanessa slaps the table a little harder than she means to, jostling the screen. “But they’re so nice! Like, if anyone was going to take a rescue, it should be them! I thought they said they were against the practice!”

“They are, Ness,” Roselle sighs, rubbing at the bridge of her nose.

“Not enough to keep an actual human person from being murdered for it, apparently!” Vanessa stands up and paces back and forth across the room. “Fuck. Fuck! I have to take him.”

Roselle looks up and blinks. “You what?”

“I mean, if nobody else is gonna do it—! It’s not like I don’t have the money. Or the space. I mean, I sure as shit don’t have the personality, but—fuck, dude! What else am I supposed to do?”

“You’re really serious about this, aren’t you?”

“I just… watching the shelter sites was supposed to just be a little thing I could do that mattered, y’know? And now it is so big and so fucking real and, and…” Her hands are flailing past her ears now, wrists and elbows oscillating wildly.

“Hey. Nessa.” Roselle pulls her focus, the calm timbre back in her voice. “He’s still got one more day, right?” Vanessa nods sullenly. “So you’ve got a day. Think about it. Wrap your head around it, as much as you can. In the meantime, we’ll see if anyone else picks him up, or gets back to us, or if anything else that could happen happens. And if they don’t, you’ll be ready.” Vanessa raises her eyebrows as if to protest. “At least, a little more ready than you are now,” she amends.

“You’re right. You’re… thanks, Rose. You’re good at this. You always are.” She tilts her head. “God, I wish you could take him. You’d be so much better at helping him than me. Than anyone, probably.”

Roselle smiles ruefully. “Yeah, not in senior year pre-law. And definitely not in a dorm room. I’ll help you help him, though. You know I’m here for you, any time.”

“You’re the best, Rosarita Beans. Speaking of pre-law, though, should I like… let you go study? I feel like I just took up a whole bunch of your day.” She grimaces.

“Hey, don’t worry about it. Like I said, I’m here for you. I probably should go, though, if you’re okay for now.” Vanessa nods again. “Alright then, text me if you need anything, okay? And make sure you sleep before tomorrow, you’re gonna need it. Oh, and I’m guessing you haven’t eaten yet, so do that for me? Okay bye, love you.”

She’s right again, of course. “I’m not hungry,” Vanessa tries to protest, but Roselle has already ended the call.

Well, if she’s going to eat—and sleep, probably, come to that—she’s gonna need an assist. She fires off a text. AUSTIN, it says. EMERGENCY. COME TF OVER.

As you wish, he replies. The weed man cometh.

Austin shows up forty minutes later, and she wraps her arms around his waist and hugs him until he chucks her shoulder and says, “Dude, let me in, it’s freezing out.” They climb the stairs to Vanessa’s favorite living room and in short order the bong water is bubbling and pizzas are on their way.

“You know, the nuts thing is, just going off his picture the dude should’ve gotten picked up, like, right away. I mean, lookit ‘im,” Vanessa rambles, poking a finger at the thumbnail next to the number 414374 in the shelter site’s neat little table. It expands to show a man with sharp features, pale skin and blue eyes, with waves of black hair cascading over impressively broad shoulders. “He’s like, super hot, right? I mean or he would be without the brainwashing 'n shit.”

Austin cranes his head down to see. “Yeah, I’d do him. Without the brainwashing and shit.”

“Yeah! So like, here’s the thing right? Dudes who look like that get snatched up in like a day. Two, tops. It’s like… okay this is horrible but it’s like a borzoi at a humane society, you know? They’re gonna be there for like five minutes.”

“You said he’s been there for five days, though.”

“Exactly! So like, what is his deal, man? What could possibly be up with him that would make all the crazy ass pet people not go ‘yeah I want that one’ like, immediately?”

“Dude, yeah. Huh.”

Vanessa laughs around a mouthful of smoke until she doubles over coughing. “Oh, shit, dude, what am I getting myself into?”

Why Bowie had to say the Lord's Prayer for pal Craig

SUPERSTAR David Bowie yesterday told of the sadness which led him to sink to his knees and pray on the stage of the Freddie Mercury tribute concert.

Bowie recited the Lord's Prayer before an audience of millions in a very public show of compassion for the private plight of a close friend, Craig, who is dying from Aids.

“He was in my thoughts as I watched the concert and I knew that I wanted to send a message to him,” Bowie revealed.

“I had no idea of what I was going to say until just before I went on stage.

“Something made me think of the Lord’s Prayer and it seemed to me that it would be the most direct way of reaching him with integrity. It just felt like the right thing to do.”

Before he flew out of Heathrow for New York, the 46-year-old rock star said: “Craig is someone who my assistant Coco and I have known for many, many years and who has tragically been toppled by Aids.

“He does not have long to live, I'm afraid.”

It was largely because of Craig that Bowie took part in the star-studded Easter Monday tribute to Freddie Mercury.

Bowie stunned the audience when he interrupted the music to pray for the victims of Aids, mentioning Craig by name.

Before he flew out Bowie vowed to keep Craig's personal details secret.

“He's a private individual, nothing at all to do with the music business or entertainment.

“I think because of that, it would be totally unfair of me to reveal his identity or any more information about him. It's vital that his anonymity is preserved.”

Asked if he was involved in caring for Craig, he said: “Coco and I are constantly in touch with him.”

Before the show, Bowie revealed that his friend's plight had spurred him into taking part.

On stage Bowie said: “This tribute is for our very good friend Freddie and also to our friends, your friends and possibly members of your family who have been troubled by this relentless disease.

“To all the people watching and to my friend Craig, I would like to extend my best wishes to everyone.”

Yesterday, Bowie said he was satisfied the concert had succeeded in getting across the message of Aids awareness, as well as being a fitting tribute to Freddie Mercury.

“I think enough of the performers said enough about the issue to nail down the seriousness of this horrific disease.

“And it was an absolutely splendid show.”

Bowie's agent Alan Edwards added: “Craig is obviously someone he knows outside the music world. He won't divulge any more about him.”

Concert organisers and Aids workers yesterday began the task of deciding how to allocate the estimated £20 million raised by the show.

The money, which came mostly from film and television rights, merchandising profits and public donations, will go to Aids charities to boost the battle against the disease.

THE stars who rocked the fans at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert later danced until dawn at a party in his memory.

The flamboyant Queen singer's spirit lived on as band members Brian May and Roger Taylor joined Liza Minnelli, Cindy Crawford and George Michael.

Earlier, as the 72,000-strong crowd filed slowly from Wembley Stadium, a fleet of limousines whisked the stars to exclusive Browns club in London's Covent Garden.

The champagne flowed as the guests swapped stories about the Queen front man who died of Aids in November.

The celebrities toasted the success of the concert which looks set to raise £20 million for Aids charities worldwide.

George Michael, dressed from head to toe in black, stayed until the early hours of the morning at the club where he is a regular customer.

He spent a long time chatting to Cabaret star Liza Minnelli, who was still flushed from her emotional performance.

She led the finale with a version of Queen hit We Are The Champions.

Drummer Roger Taylor was escorted by stunning girlfriend Debbie Leng, who was dressed in figure-hugging black leather shorts and jacket.

And Queen guitarist Brian May took his girlfriend Anita Dobson, dressed in a black bolero hat and black lace dress.

Joining them were EastEnders actress Gillian Taylforth — enjoying her first big night out since the birth of her daughter Jessica three months ago — and her boyfriend Geoff Knights.

Paul Young and his wife Stacey left their daughter Levi with a babysitter.

Seal arrived with a new image. Gone were the trademark black leather trousers. Instead he wore a loose fitting white suit and glasses.

Wild Guns 'n' Roses frontman Axl Rose arrived without his usual posse of burly minders.

Still on a high from his concert success, he chatted to Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott.

“The atmosphere was fantastic because everyone was still buzzing from the concert,” said one guest.

“They played really up music all night long, and the dance floor was absolutely packed the whole time.

“They played a couple of Queen tracks and everyone went wild.

“The general feeling was that everyone should go wild and have a really good time because it's what Freddie would have wanted. He wouldn't want people sitting around moping about him."

However, one star was missing. “Everyone noticed that Elton John was particularly quiet backstage at the concert,” said an organiser.

“I think he found the whole thing rather upsetting because he loved Freddie very much.

“I don't think he could face going to a huge party.”

But for the party-goers the night was the ideal way to remember the life of the man who loved celebrations.

As he left, Roger Taylor summed up the mood: “Freddie would have loved it.”

Ghost finished loading the last of the supplies into the cargo hull of nikolai’s plane, so they could fly off to bum-fuck-nowhere for roughly 4 weeks. Nik would fly them up to the first drop-point, far enough away to avoid detection. Then the four of them; Price, Gaz, Soap, and himself; would hike the rest of the way to the location on the map, gather what intel they could, then remove all traces of it and themselves after sending it to Laswell. The 7 or so extra days they were allotted to allow them time to get to the next location, they’d be traveling on foot as any vehicle they could use either couldn’t maneuver around the terrain, or remain unseen. On any other mission like this one would have two teams of at least 12 men, but this one required discretion. A feat much easier accomplished with fewer feet, and Price refused to send the lieutenant and his sergeants without putting himself at the same level of risk.

He adjusted the last crate to fit snuggly before loading up the cargo ramp, and shutting the compartment. As he walked around to the loading ramp, he finished up the last of the plane checks that Nikolai asked him to do. Finally boarding the plane, he found himself a seat near the cockpit of the plane. His throat had remained as sore as it had been the day before; if not more so; while he donned the headset, and buckled himself in. He pulled out his phone as the others took their own seats; soap directly across from him at the back of the plane, Gaz to the seat right of Soap, and Price took the other corner by the cockpit. As soon as the doors were sealed and everyone was sat, the plane began it’s taxi.

He clicked on his messenger app, flicked his eyes up to the clock, the time read 0553. It was cluttered to all hell, he hadn’t opened the damned thing in months, much less cleaned it out. What better time to do so, than an 11 hour flight. He scrolled past the starred contacts, and clicked one at random. The first message it showed was a link, and then the words “sad but interesting article I found earlier, you should check it out.” he received from G.R.S., he inhaled a breath and his hands shook slightly as he tapped on the link and it pulled up an informational website.

Vomere floresco ‘amo’ insanitias, commonly mistaken as ‘Hanahaki’ disease, is most commonly identified when an individual with such disease begins coughing up flower petals. Unlike Vomere floresco insanitias, which is a disease, Vomere floresco ‘amo’ insanitias is a fungus, often referred to as type 2 ‘hanahaki’ or ‘hanahaki-B’. Its damaging properties remain similar to it’s cousin, though it is a much slower infection.

Hanahaki-B stems from unreturned or unacknowledged feelings, spanning the entirety of positive emotions an individual can feel for another. The common ‘Hanahaki’ takes root due to a one-sided feeling of exclusively romantic love.

Much like the common ‘hanahaki’, ‘hanahaki-B’ causes an affected individual to cough up petals and flowers. Unlike the common ‘hanahaki’, this variant of infection causes the individual to vomit various other parts of the same plant; often relating to the sought after love. In some cases this can be especially discomforting, as some plant species may sport spines, or stinging leaves.

The infection can dissipate on its own if feelings are returned towards an affected individual. Though surgical removal is possible, though removing the infection also removes any positive affliction towards the wanted individual, it is also more difficult to perform than for the common variant. Many people prefer to let the infection run its course, rather than endure the consequence of surgery.

If left untreated common ‘hanahaki’ will fill the lungs of an individual with flowers and petals in such a way that they asphyxiate to death. ‘Hanahaki-B’ will grow roots throughout the esophagus and chest to stop the heart. While ‘hanahaki-B’ will similarly fill the lungs with petals and flowers, it will not do so in such a way that the host asphyxiates to death without outlying medical conditions.

Early symptoms of ‘hanahaki-B’ include: chest aches, shortness of breath, and a sore/scratchy throat. Onset symptoms, which appear based on how strong the feelings are, can include: heart aches, and coughing flowers, petals, blood, and other plant parts, and shortness of breath. Late stages look like sharp pain in the chest, akin to a heart attack, vomiting entire parts of plants, easy bruising on the upper dermis layer, and difficulty breathing.

*special cases have been recorded to occasionally worsen with physical proximity with the wanted individual.

He thumbed his way down to the bottom of the article, scanning as it passed. There wasn’t much else, it listed off several famous instances of this happening in the past, he found that tragically many people don’t survive the fungus. His hands still shook, as a sense of deja vu passed over him, and he quickly exited out of both the article and messenger app. He checked the time, 0647, before shutting his phone off. 10.5 hours left before they land, he closed his eyes and leaned his head against the call of the cabin area.

A sharp, raking stabbing feeling in his throat had his eyes shooting open. Ahead of him soap was staring at him, and all the while the pain did not let up. He was just barely able to reign in the cough he could feel building in his esophagus. He did his best to discreetly clear his throat, even as he could taste the coppery tang of red on his tongue. He tipped his head to the side a little hoping he correctly displayed, ‘you need something?’. The pain held tight as the sergeant continued to stare at him for another second, before turning his attention back to the man beside him. Then and only then did the claws in his throat slowly release their grip. It left him with a raw throat, and swallowing a full mouthful of blood.

When the pain had mostly leveled out he took stock of himself and his surroundings. He was fine, all his stuff was on him, he hadn’t dropped or broken anything. When he looked over Price was looking at him, with what he could only decipher as worry. Old man sees too much, knows something isn’t right with him. The captain gestured with his hands, ‘YOU SOLID?’, ghost immediately recognized familiar motions of BSL. he gave a thumbs up, not even looking at the man as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes again. He ‘s gonna catch a few Zs, seeing as how he’s foregone sleep in favor of reviewing the mission plans.

So let me get this straight, mods that run blogs that that call out Chris over his shenanigans are "crazy", but the same anons sending in asks calling the mods crazy and dramatically getting too personal are supposed to be the sane ones. Like dude you're coming here asking the mods to back off Chris, defending him like he's paying you, getting extremely personal with zero boundaries all for a dude who doesn't know you exist and you think you're the sane, calm person. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Okay, first, I'd like to thank everyone for their supportive and kind messages. There's too many to reply to individually, my apologies.

With obvious hateful anons like those I posted after the first Anon ask (note: that Anon answered me back, and those second and third responses were not her; will reply to her response in a moment), I usually just chuck them in the trash can. Today, I didn't want to, because I wanted people to see what blog mods across the board are having to deal with. I didn't do it to elicit goodwill or to fish for kind support (although I am always appreciative of that), but just to show a reality from inside the inbox in these tense times.

Ad hominem attacks are not okay. They're lazy and juvenile. Often, they are simply offensive for the sake of being offensive, as today's were. Here's the kicker: those two asks in no way bothered me or upset me - because they were simply too stupid to affect me. When you're scrapping that low for a retort, you're simply not worth my time.

But, I also want to hope that maybe we can all take a breath and take a step back. I don't want to make my blog a blog that is unwelcoming to other viewpoints. That being said, you also have to come with good reasoning and well-written points supporting your reasoning. No ad hominem attacks, no loose encapsulations of opposing viewpoints being "crazy," "stupid," etc. Let's only get petty with Chris and his dumb dick decisions, okay? LOL

Let's try to break this "crazy fandom" narrative big PR is painting us into.

Hey, I get it. Losing Channie's room has been an upsetting and emotional experience for a lot of STAYs, including me. They were always something that cheered me up on the weekends. More than anything I am sad for Chan -- he's often said he really enjoys being able to livestream and interact with STAY, and my biggest hope is that he is doing okay right now. He didn't deserve the initial backlash, and he certainly doesn't deserve the shitstorm (pardon my language) happening across social medial (tweet, tiktok, bubble particularly) right now.

(Goes without saying but this is all my personal opinion/thoughts, feel free to ignore, take with a grain/spoonful/ocean of salt)

Right now I am so frustrated with the narrative that this happened solely due to poor management on the part of JYPE and/or JYP. To be clear: I have many reservations/issues with the way JYP and JYPE manage their groups/artists. Whatever your opinion on SKZ's management, that is not the main issue here. Because it was STAY who created and contributed to the situation we are currently in today.

In fact I'm ANGRY that STAY and other fans of Stray Kids are not taking responsibility for their role in all of this. I think enough has been said about the openly toxic content creators/social media accounts who went out of their way to speculate and circulate rumors about groups having conflicts/drama with Chan and/or Stray Kids, so I'm trying to keep this part short. TL;DR - these "STAY" go against what Chan himself has explicitly stated multiple times across different platforms:

He has asked STAY to stop defaming and hating on other artists. In the specific YT live that was the subject of the initial "drama" he even went out of his way to say "I'm not going to name names" and "I'm not gonna say specific artists."

He has told STAY to stop sending hate or to spam JYPE. At in-person fansigns, fan calls, on Bubble and on lives, Chan has said "Don't hate the company" or something similar. I can't recall the exact words but he has also stated or implied that when fans do this it ultimately reflects poorly on Stray Kids and stresses him out more.

But I also wanted to shed light on the ways I think many STAYs who are unproblematic or largely neutral in this situation may have inadvertently amplified the messages of the toxic/vocal minority of the fandom or unintentionally made the situation worse. A lot of times we react emotionally to any unfavorable or negative news about our favorite artists/idol groups. I get it - for a lot of people Stray Kids are an anchor, safe space or home where they can be themselves and find comfort. So when we hear about anything negative it's easy to have a knee-jerk response of protect protect protect. But I think in that process many STAY (once again, who are mostly unproblematic and not trying to start any drama) don't think about how the ways they go about finding information, letting others know about information and defending Stray Kids are causing small incidents to evolve into large scandals.

I can't claim to know all the solutions or fix everything in this fandom, but there are some things I've noticed that could be done better, or in a way that doesn't reflect poorly on SKZ. As individual members of a larger fandom, I hope that in the future we can focus on not engaging or at least minimizing engagement with the toxic + vocal minority of the fandom that tries to stir up drama. These accounts are trying to get attention at the expense of SKZ and STAY by creating conflict.

What do I mean by that? First up: when you do see a video that appears to be speculative or for the purposes of spreading rumors/gossip, don't just share it immediately. I get it, it's a potential "threat" SKZ's reputation/wellbeing. But look into it before you post: are there any outside new sources, official posts, or statements by SKZ members or JYPE actually backing this up? And if you have mutuals/friends who are asking what's going on, can we refrain from sharing the content directly? DM them a TL;DR or summary. Try to reduce the use of share functions (like reposting, quote retweets, sharing tiktok links, etc.), all that does is boost problematic/speculative content into the FYP/feeds/TLs of more people. After a certain point mass commenting "take this down" or "is this true?" is just going to boost the engagement on these kinds of speculative posts. Hopefully it goes without saying, but try not to 'like' these kinds of speculative videos/posts. At the end of the day, any/all engagement from well-intentioned STAY trying to discourage toxic behavior and inform others will lead to better metrics (views, likes, shares, etc.) for these problematic accounts, which may encourage them to continue posting "controversial" content. TL;DR - Bad PR/exposure is still PR/exposure for the part of the fandom we DON'T want to amplify.

and PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, can we stop with the cryptic comments? I know this usually comes from a good place - we don't want negative words trending in association with SKZ. But cryptically commenting "omg I hope [member name] is okay...." is just going to rile people up more. Just either comment directly a brief summary or send the person a DM. If you comment a brief but clear summary then it also helps prevent other STAYs from potentially engaging with speculative/gossip content to find an answer + people will read that instead of also commenting "what happened?" Half the time I feel like these minor issues snowball into giant problems because some STAYs freak out when other members of the fandom refuse to be clear about what the actual fuck is going on.

Finally, just leave other artists out of this. Full stop. EVERYONE loses the minute STAY involves other artists, other companies and/or other fandoms. Seriously. Yes, sometimes there is very obvious evidence (footage of artist interactions, screenshots, vague artist instagram posts, etc.) that there is something going on between two individuals in the K-pop industry. But until Stray Kids or JYPE says anything about it, trying to get other parties involved is only going to hurt SKZ and STAY. It's contributing to the image that STAY is a toxic/aggressive fandom. It's going to turn away baby STAYs or people considering becoming STAYs away from SKZ's music and content. It's going to reflect poorly on SKZ because their management and other people in the industry may assume they badmouth other artists/colleagues and sic their fans on them with no reason or for irrational reasons. And (as we have witnessed) it might result in SKZ being penalized for something that should never have blown up to the point it has. Even if other fandoms or certain social media accounts are trying to provoke STAY, let's try to be the better/more generous people (we don't have to forgive them, but no need to expend so much energy/attention on them). Ignore/block/disengage/report - stop quote retweeting/quoting these people and drawing more viewership towards accounts who are trying to stir the pot. Don't actually tag these people, use a slash/punctuation to break up the tag so they don't get more attention/engagement (ex. @/[account name]).

Small ending note: let's not forget the agency of the artists themselves. I know we all have misgivings with how Stray Kids is managed. That's fine. Consumers/customers are allowed to be critical of the way a company is managed or how a company manages its employees and business. But we have to trust that Chan and all the other members know what they are doing.

anyway tysm for recommending this to me, this is the first piece of media I've actually like... really really connected with (my parents are planning on moving our family across the country), and I honestly think I really needed it. I love it so much.

Highlights so far:

-I really like that there's no mean characters. I keep waiting for a bully or smth but everyone she meets genuinely has her best interests at heart. It's honestly so refreshing

-The fact that Cassie didn't immediately get suspicious and defensive and overprotective when she saw David hanging out with a new girl was again, super refreshing compared the all the One Chicago I watch lmao. i love it but im so tired of the overreactions

I'm usually mild about shipping but not with these 2 adshsgsgwhsgwgdg, I think it's bc instead of going 'hey don't these 2 look pretty together? 🙂', the author fleshed them out as individuals and had them establish an actual friendship, so the audience ships them but the story itself takes it's time building up to that :') <3<3<3
