my guide to getting started on firefox is the only one you need
step 1: download firefox from the official website
step 2: import your passwords and such from your browser. this sounds complicated, but it should take no time at all
step 3: download ublock origin from the firefox add-on website
thats literally all you need to do in terms of out of the box setup. you may wish to do more, such as downloading more add-ons (see under the cut for some i recommend), but this is all that is needed for most people
my recommended add-ons:
sponsorblock & her sister dearrow. sponsorblock allows you to skip sponsors in youtube videos, dearrow changes clickbait titles and thumbnails
dark reader. forces all websites to have a dark mode
the wayback machines official extension. allows you to archive and see archived versions of websites with 2 clicks
right-click borescope. allows you to view and save images, even on websites that disable it
search by image. what it says on the tin, including like a billion different image search engines, and you can customize which ones it uses
ruffle. a new flash player that is supposedly safer?? idc i use it because i have nostalgia for flash
xkit rewritten, my beloved. a suite of tumblr features you can toggle on the fly, including one-click reblogs with tags, blocking entire posts, loading the vanilla versions of audio and video, and much, much more
dont accept webp. does what it says on the tin, kills webps FOREVER
wikipedia vector skin and old reddit redirect. forces the old, better layout for those two websites
tampermonkey. allows you to write and use scripts for any website. examples include the dashboard unfucker and youtube no rounded video
redirector. make websites redirect to any other website, like forcing fandom wikis to go to breezewiki, forcing youtube to display shorts as videos, or forcing tumblr to display images in full quality (plaintext of these rules)

New Chapter Released!
Hello again! Hope your winter has gone well ❄️
With the public release of this new chapter we’re setting up the Crown's daily routine as a monarch, while romance and courtly intrigue continue to build:
Diverging paths depending on your love interest, including scenes from your main LIs point of view! R and A accompany the Crown, but what are D and X up to in the meantime?
While the Crown becomes used to ruling, each LI experiences a shocking revelation in their main route, one that will cascade into future chapters
The Crown continues to grow and learn, being tutored in various subjects to increase their knowledge
Tutoring is not merely in theory: the Crown enjoys physical training, as well. Choose your favorite weapon and shape future fight scenes!
The Imperial Court is finally taking shape. Choose certain positions, receive political proposals, even form an alliance, if you have the points...
A few additional changes made to the game overall:
The codex page for the Crescent Blades has been added, including character art! It should be unlocked for all saves that are past Chapter 1
Changed various lore related names, mainly the ones referring to the Major Spirits, in order to better reference the Zoroastrian inspirations that Arsur's religion is based on
Darkened the background color further to be friendlier on the eyes. Some day, I'll add a proper dark mode, but that day is not today haha
Edited the Arsurian Calendar to match with the new background color, and also corrected the start and end dates of the months!
IMPORTANT: It's highly recommended to replay the entirety of CH9 before getting to CH10. CH9 has some changes relating to LI relationship stats, so if you don't go back to play through those, you risk relationship flavor text messing up in CH10. Such as a high relationship being described as a low relationship, things of that nature.
Thank you for all your patience and support, I hope you enjoy the new chapter with the nearing end of this winter 💖
For those that are unfamiliar with the game
A Tale of Crowns is a high fantasy romance story, told in the form of a text-based interactive novel with choice mechanics. The setting is inspired by Kurdish culture as well as other historical settings in the Middle East such as Ancient Persia, but it also draws heavily from other cultures and countries in the region.
Your character is native to Arsur, a vast empire overseen by a single ruler known as the Crown. Unlike traditional monarchies, however, the title is not inherited through blood. Whenever the Crown dies, their famed golden eyes pass on to the one chosen by the Spirits of this world to be the new Crown. In this story, your MC takes on that role.
There are four different love interests to choose from, whose genders will be customized to suit the preferences of your Crown. You can find more info about them on the blog page!
Also note that this current version of the game is safe for those 16 years and older.
Like the premise so far? Play it and give it a try! The entire game is free!
If you enjoyed the game, please reblog! Share it with your friends! Recognition and reader interaction is just about the only thing I get in return for creating it ❤️

How to “make it” when you live in a toxic environment
Tumblr media Tumblr media
‼️Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion based on what has helped me and is by no means professional advice. Please take what resonates according to your situation.
1. Drop your expectations. People who have shown you consistently that they don’t care will not change. You need to preserve as much energy as you can for yourself and your goals. Stop setting yourself up for disappointment. Yes, it’s sad. Do the shadow work and don’t tell people things YOU KNOW they will react negatively to.
2. Don’t expect people to be happy for you or support you. Move in silence. People’s subconscious fears will be projected onto you and your goals, why do you need those curses placed upon you when you have so much to deal with anyway.
3. Take what you can get. Accept whatever help you can receive that you know will have no repercussions. Sometimes people can help you with some things and not others.
4. Shift all your efforts towards being able to leave that environment. Do research on how you can expand your finances, and that may mean doing something out of your comfort zone such as creating a social media platform etc. Never compromise on your well being however.
5. You need to believe in yourself as much as you can, even if people won’t.
6. Take advantage of the free help and advice on the internet. Can’t afford something? Well you have time more than money at the moment so use it to research. That research can be used as an asset to help you now and maybe later it can be the reason you start a particular business or are inspired to help people.
7. BE SOLUTION ORIENTED. focusing on problems only creates more problems. You’re going to have to try over and over again in life. Focusing on what’s wrong all the time will not allow you to step outside of the box and see things from a detached point of view where you can actually see a solution.
8. Prayer. I cannot stress this enough. Prayer has caused miracles in my life. Rely on God/Universe whatever you resonate with as much as you can. Your connection to yourself and your higher power is something you always have access to and if you believe and have faith even in times of darkness your high vibration will cause the ripple effect you’re looking for and problems will be solved. I recommend praying and setting up an intention every morning and night.
9. Even if you’re in survival mode 90% of the time. That 10% you spend meditating and praying. Even a little 10 minute meditation, if you can do it and have that time to be in complete surrender and serenity it will still make a difference. It’s not about how much time is spent on something but rather the quality of that. Allow that 10 minutes to be sacred, profound.
10. Ask for all the help you can get from where you know you can. you may get turned down, life is about risks. But always keep going.
11. Create time if you don’t have it. Give something up in order to gain something else. You may need to compromise on something for the time being to be able to create a prominent change/shift in your life. But make sure it is something that won’t affect your health and well being. Example; less time watching tv, more time spent on cultivating faith
12. Be very consistent in your efforts. Consistency towards something is what creates that energetic momentum which will eventually lead to a manifestation.
13. Daily affirmations and listening to affirmations when you sleep is also a great method to reprogram your subconscious and set you up for success. Again, so many free resources out there you can use, you just have to consciously use your will power and pray to receive the strength you need so you can push through.
I’ve linked my energy healing playlist as well as another energy clearing I listen to. I will also be posting more energy healings , always listen with the intention to receive. You don’t even need to pay attention when listening to those.
The meditation I linked says “love meditation” but I’ve used it to manifest other things and I’ve received answer to my prayers immediately.
I hope this helps and I’m sending much love to everyone needing this.

Computer q. For otherwise identical monitors, is a 4000:1 contrast ratio noticeably better from 1000:1? I don't mean for fancy art but like if I'm watching a movie, could I see the difference in a dark scene? I looked into oled's, but those are expensive and I think the way I use my stuff would cause burn in.
I hope you don't mind, but I got carried away and answered pretty much every computer monitor question anyone has ever had. And since this turned into a whole thing, I thought I'd share it for everyone to benefit.
For a computer monitor I would say the most important aspect is actually the viewing angle. This is how far off-axis you can look at the monitor before the image degrades.
We sit very close to our displays and at that distance, even a change in height in your chair can affect the image. Move a little bit left or right and a cheap display could completely wash out and look terrible. And if you get a display that is 27" or above, even if you sit dead center, the edges of the screen will appear dark and washed out with a bad viewing angle.
The two best display technologies to get a good viewing angle are IPS (in-plane switching) and OLED. If you are interested in a display without these technologies, be sure it has a decent viewing angle. You can read more about viewing angles here and here.
IPS has very little concern for burn-in, but it is still a concern with OLED. In recent years OLED has greatly improved and image retention and burn-in can be avoided with regular maintenance. Displays will have pixel shift features and noise modes that work out all the pixels evenly. You can run these features every once in a while to prevent burn-in. You can also play special anti-burn-in videos on YouTube (full screen) to exercise the pixels to uniformity.
So if you don't mind the hassle, you can manage an OLED with low risk.
That said, OLED was almost exclusively for TVs and has only recently been introduced for computer displays. The current options are quite large and fairly expensive, as you alluded to. So if you are trying to stay within a budget, it might be best to seek out an IPS display.
Another consideration is resolution. Everyone is obsessed with everything being 4K now. But I think increasing the resolution brings diminishing returns with regard to increased detail you can actually notice. So if you don't mind going with a 1440p monitor (about 2.5K), you can save some money on resolution and get higher quality in more noticeable areas. Personally, I feel 1440p gives you a nice, noticeable bump in detail over 1080p. Whereas going from 1440p to 4K (2160p) is less noticeable unless you have very good vision.
Another benefit to 1440p is that video games are much easier to run on high quality settings with a reasonable GPU. And you can use technologies like super sampling (Nvidia calls this DLSS) to increase the detail you may lose from not going 4K.
The only concern I'd have with not going 4K is if you edit 4K video. It will be difficult to do a pixel level analysis of your footage otherwise. But other than that, you can still watch 4K content on a 1440p monitor and because it is being downsampled, you will still notice a nice bump in detail.
So if you don't have a reason to get a 4K display, I think 1440p is worth considering.
The next concern would be color. Or color gamut. This is how many colors the display can accurately reproduce. If you don't do any art or video color grading, you'll at least want something that does 95 to 100% of sRGB. That is the color space the entire internet uses. And if you are going to be watching HDR movies, you might want a display with a decent percentage of the P3 color space as well. Doesn't need to be 100%, but the higher the better. And for those who do art, a good percentage of Adobe RGB is recommended.
Also, many manufacturers offer displays that come pre-calibrated from the factory. If color accuracy is important, I would seek out one of these displays with a Delta E rating of 3 or less (lower is better).
A newer factor in displays is peak brightness. This is measured in "nits." In standard dynamic range (SDR), video only needed to reach 100 nits. Most HDR content is mastered to reach 1000 nits. In the future, that number will be 4000. And if micro LED technology ever becomes affordable, we may go up to 10,000 nits. But almost everything is around 1000 at the moment, so that is a good number to shoot for.
HOWEVER, because HDR is tone mapped (the brightness of your display is factored in and the content is adjusted accordingly), you can still get some benefits of HDR, even if you cannot do the full 1000 nits.
All monitors can do 100 nits for SDR content. But with more things being displayed in HDR, having more nits will give you a better experience. This does not mean your display will blind you. Usually bright stuff only takes up a small portion of the screen. But having more nits allows highlights to really pop and feel immersive. A lightsaber might actually feel hot and dangerous on a bright enough screen.
Computer displays are often rated as HDR400 or HDR600 or HDR1000 based on their nits. The HDR400 isn't great for HDR content. If you can do 600 or above within your budget, you'll get a better experience. If you are going to watch movies, this may be a feature you prioritize.
I know you mentioned contrast ratio, but I'm afraid that is a little complicated to answer. It can depend on other aspects of the monitor and the viewing environment. So I'll try to give you the info you need to figure out if the display you select will suit your needs.
Manufacturers can use tricks to fudge their contrast ratio in product descriptions, so it is best to go to an independent review website like RTINGS to see what they measured. (They do good TV and monitor reviews too.) You'll see that OLED displays are said to have "infinite" contrast ratio, due to being able to turn off pixels completely. Which means it is probably time to move to a new metric because that gives very little info on the dynamic range of the display (the difference between the darkest and brightest thing it can show).
You definitely want a decent contrast ratio for your display, but this can be subjective. If you have a nice bright screen, your brain may feel the contrast is fantastic, even if the actual darkest black point of the monitor isn't great. If something is really bright, then dark things will *seem* darker by comparison. And if you are viewing in a dark environment, the contrast will look even better. So this is where seeking out a professional reviewer's experience of the monitor can be helpful. One monitor's 4000:1 ratio might be a different experience than another with the same measurement.
Because TVs are generally larger and can have more backlighting zones, they can get decent black levels without OLED. But smaller computer displays have more difficulty in reasonable price ranges. So manage your black level expectations if you go with an affordable IPS display. They can get bright, but they aren't great at blacks like OLED. I'm afraid that is just a limitation of the tech. In fact, getting a brighter display might be preferable to a better contrast ratio. And it will be easier to see if you are in a bright environment.
Most IPS displays are going to be between 1000:1 and 5000:1 and while it does make a difference, if you sit it next to an old plasma or an OLED, you're going to be disappointed. So I would not make contrast ratio a super high priority with IPS, because non-OLED computer displays just aren't going to give you inky blacks. I would say 2000:1 or better is going to give you a decent experience. But, again, I would seek out reviews rather than trust the official product specs when it comes to the quality of the blacks.
And one final consideration you may want to factor in is the refresh rate. This is mostly for gaming. Most displays will give you at least 60 Hz or 60 "refreshes" per second. Gamers tend to like 120 Hz or higher. This won't affect movie watching very much as nearly everything except Gemini Man is 24 fps.
TLDR overview...
Get an IPS or OLED display for a good viewing angle. I personally feel this is the most important feature.
Choose a resolution. 1440p can allow you to increase quality in other areas to maximize your budget. Only get 4K if you have a legit reason or you have fighter pilot vision.
Color gamut or number of colors. Try to get 100% of sRGB for web content, 90% or above of Adobe RGB for art/photography, and 90% or above of P3 for HDR movies and video editing.
If color accuracy is important, look for pre-calibrated displays that have a Delta E of 3 or less. (Lower is better)
HDR brightness. If you want to experience good HDR, you'll want the brightest screen possible (measured in nits). HDR600 or HDR1000 are great. If you don't care about HDR, then don't worry about the rating.
Contrast ratio and black levels. It's going to be meh on pretty much anything but OLED. 2000:1 or better is a good goal to shoot for, but be sure to check independent reviews for the subjective experience of the black levels. Dark viewing environments help too.
Refresh rate. 60 Hz is fine for most things. Gamers prefer 120 Hz or faster. And if you are a competitive gamer, you may want to seek out more info on "variable refresh rate" and "pixel response time."
Pick the variables above that seem most important to you and then seek out a display that does those things decently within your budget.

Mcyt physically disabled week. Day 5--Chronic illness, which i misread as chronic pain. (I'm probably gonna try to do a drawing of tallulah and her asthma as a make-up for it) @mcytphysicaldisabilityweek
Looked up drawing depiction chronic pain for inspo and all of them looked very pretty and metaphorical, so thats what i was going for with this and the roses and such. This is also probably my favourite drawing i've done. Also i recommended clicking on the drawing to see it better as there are a lot of dark colours, especially if you're viewing this on light mode

Part 6: Bad Boy (wc: 5.2k)
Your ass is sore and red from the punishment you received from Toji. Whenever you were getting dressed or going into the shower, you’d turn around to view the pink hand imprints on the fat of your ass. Your cheeks would match the color of your ass at the remembrance of being splayed over Toji’s lap as his large, calloused hands spanking you. You got into the habit of before work masturbating to the memories of Toji being ball deep inside you. It couldn’t be helped, this man had you wet at just the thought of him; his black, raven hair, green eyes, the scars on his body…
Work went as per usual; multiple appointments, and chatting with your patients as you massaged their bodies. You couldn’t help but wish it was your scheduled day with Toji but that would come at the end of the week. Once you were done with all your appointments, you closed up your clinic.
As you were locking the front door of the clinic, the sound of tires on the gravel made you freeze up. The lights of a car reflected in the glass door of the building, making you blind for a split second. You turned around, your hand still holding the keys in the lock. You swallowed thickly, heart hammering against your ribcage. Who could it be this late at night? Especially after closing time.  The car door opened, and someone stumbled out. You still couldn’t make the figure out as the car headlights were too bright. Your breathing had become shallow, your body tense and in the mode to run away if you needed to. The car backed up and drove out of the parking light. The dark figure that had stumbled out rose to their legs and walked towards you. Midway, they fell to the ground, and once on the floor you caught their face in the dim light; Toji. You rushed over to him, hands placed on his shoulders. Your nostrils burned from the heavy smell of alcohol on him. He wore a white button-up that was undone halfway, his muscled chest exposed.  “Toji,” You breathed out, “are you okay?”  “Sorry…” He slurred, looking up to meet your gaze. His eyes were glossed over, there was light stubble that had grown on his face. He gave you a lop-sided smirk, his knuckles coming up to your cheek, “Hey doll, I missed ya…”  “You’re drunk,” You stated the obvious, helping him get up — but this was hard considering how much bigger he was than you. You two stumbled in the process, but you managed to get your arm around his waist. He leaned against you, causing you to set your hand on his chest so he didn’t completely fall over you which would result in taking you down with him. Your hand on his bare chest prompted that fluttering sensation to attack your insides. You could feel the imprint from one of his scars splayed across his chest.
“We’re going to walk to my car, okay?” You advised, cautiously taking a step forward to see how he would react. Thankfully, he managed to follow your steps. When you two got to your car, you opened the passenger door and helped him get into the seat. The weight of his head made him lean to one side, having to push him back in, “No, no,” You alerted, “please don’t fall,” you prayed out loud. In the process of trying to buckle him up, you knocked him on the side of the head with your elbow. You rubbed where you had hit him, apologizing.
Toji responded with incoherent mumblings. You finished buckling him in, it felt strange to be handling a grown man like a baby. In no time, you were in the car and driving to your apartment. It was then that the realization struck you; where were you even taking Toji? In the state he was in, there was no way he’d be able to instruct you to where he lived. You heaved out a sigh and decided the best thing would be to take him back to your place.
The same process happened while trying to get Toji up to your place; stumbling, incoherent mumbles from him, holding onto him to your best so he wouldn’t fall over. When you finally got him into your place, you set him on your couch. Your cat, Willow, made her way to where Toji was placed.
“Don’t worry, he’s nice,” You said to Willow, “what do you think of him?”
Willow sniffed the top of Toji’s head and then proceeded to jump off the couch. You took off your coat and set aside your purse with your keys. You made sure to also take out his phone and keys out of his pocket, setting them onto the coffee table. You were back by Toji’s side with a glass of cold water in your hands. He was wasted, but you hoped you’d be able to somewhat sober him up.
You helped him sit back up by pulling at the sleeve of his button up. The glass was brought to his lips, “Come on, let’s drink,” You tried to encourage even though you knew he wasn’t comprehending anything you were saying to him. You cradled the back of his head with your palm when tipping the glass upwards. Toji didn’t reciprocate your act of assistance, the water spilling down his chin and neck. His eyes were closed, and his breathing seemed more shallow. Panic struck you, setting the glass onto the coffee table and putting your ear to his lips. He was still breathing. But he didn’t seem okay. How much had he drunk?
You got up to go to your bathroom, turning on the shower to cold water. And then you went back to get Toji on his feet and over to the shower. When it came to getting him into the bathtub, it resulted in both of you tumbling in — the cold water of the shower immersing the two of you. You felt Toji’s body jolt against you, which made you relieved. You sat up and patted your hands against Toji’s cheeks.
“Hey, it’s me,” You said through chattering teeth, “come on, love, look at me.”
Toji trembled under the water, making you reach back and turn it off. His white shirt soaked through, his defined abs showing through the material as it stuck to his skin. Droplets of water fell from the ends of his black hair. Finally, Toji opened his eyes and the first thing he said to you was;
“It’s fucking freezing, doll.”
You let out a breathless laugh of relief, “Let me get you a towel, be right back,” You got out of the bathtub, soaking as well. You came back with a towel and wrapped it around him. You helped him get out of the bathtub, but this time, he wasn’t stumbling like before. You took him to your room, having him sit at the edge of your bed. You knelt before him, rubbing the towel over his head. Toji’s fingers wrapped around your wrist, making you stop; looking at you with great intensity.
“You worried me,” You thought out loud, “I was scared.”
Toji shivered, you noticed Adam’s apple go up as he swallowed before speaking, “No one’s ever taken care of me this well.”
His words plucked your strings, it rang inside of you, like music. You stood up, going over to your closet to try and find him some clothes. “How much did you drink today?” You looked through the racks of your clothes, knowing damn well you had nothing in there that would fit him. Your hands were shaking from how cold you were yourself (and also because of Toji).
“A couple of glasses,” Toji responded nonchalantly. You scoffed, pulling out a sweatshirt that used to belong to a guy you used to hook up with, “That’s bullshit.” You turned back around, Toji was unbuttoning the rest of his shirt and taking it off. You averted your gaze back to the sweatshirt you held in your hands, clearing your throat, “You know that our appointment isn’t for another few days, right?”
Toji rubbed the towel against his hair and let it drop into his lap, “What can I say? It’s becoming hard to be patient.”
His words always had a way of making you flutter. You said in a quiet voice, “You scared me, Toji,” You could feel tears welling up in the corner of your eyes.
“You saved me,” Toji returned. You turned back around to face him and sure enough, he was smiling. He added with more playfulness, “I’m at your service, Miss L/N.”
You threw the sweatshirt at him and he caught it in time with his hands, “Take off your clothes.”
“Oh?” He cocked an eyebrow, “Impatient, as always.”
You grabbed your laundry basket, “No, I need to wash your clothes,” You stuck the laundry basket out for him and he chuckled deeply. He put his white long sleeve in the basket, followed by his black pants which took struggling attempts to get them off.
“Keep the underwear on,” You told him before his hands could move to the waistband of his boxers.
He kept his tease on, “Why? You won’t be able to resist?”
You huffed, “Toji, shut up.”
“Ooh,” Toji pretended to be hurt by your words and put the sweatshirt on. It fit him perfectly. You walked out of your room and put his clothes into the washer, your cheeks burning up from him taking his clothes off moments ago. You were determined to not show him that he’s got you flustered, though. When you came back into the room, Toji remained seated at the edge of your bed. You leaned against the doorway, arms crossed over your chest.
Toji extended his arm out with the towel in his hand, “Let me dry you.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re wet,” Toji answers, “and also, because I’m at your service. After all, you saved me.”
You walked towards him, “I get to decide how you’ll be of service to me,” you sat beside him on the bed and Toji threw the towel over you, rubbing your hair.
Toji says, “Your clothes are wet, you should change as well.”
You state with sharpness in your tone, “I don’t want to.”
Toji takes the towel off of you, his fingers coming up to your face where he tucks damp strands of your hair behind your ear. “Why not, kitten?”
You feel tears burning your eyes again, “Because you worried me! You show up at my clinic completely wasted as I’m closing up. Are you going to tell me what happened?”
Toji sighs, “I wanted to see you.”
You shake your head, pushing his hand away, “Don’t give me that,” You snapped at him, “tell me what happened.”
“I had a little too much to drink,” He remarks. At his mention of drinking too much, it’s then when you notice a fresh hickey on the side of his neck. You don’t know how you didn’t notice it earlier. Toji is aware of your observation and before he can open his mouth to say something, you beat him to it.
“Is it related to work?”
Toji is silent, you can’t read the expression on his face. His hand finds your face, cupping your cheek, “I did work today, yes.”
You want answers — no, you’re desperate for answers. You knew that what you and Toji had between the two of you was physical pleasure. But why did it feel like you needed to know details about him?
“Tell me,” You say.
Again, Toji sighs, “You don’t want to know anything about me.”
You persist, “Why not?”
Toji comes back with, “Because I’m a boring, old man.”
This time, you wrap your fingers around his wrist and claim sternly, “If you don’t tell me truthfully, I’ll have to punish you.” Toji’s green eyes slightly widen at your gallantness — you had caught him completely off guard. His voice is low, “Punish me?”
In a heartbeat, you respond with, “Yes.”
Toji runs his thumb over your bottom lips, “Why is that?” His eyes flicker down to them.
“Because you’ve been a bad boy,” You allure, adding, “a very bad boy.”
Toji cocks his head to the side, amused, “How will you punish me?”
In a whisper, you say, “If you don’t answer me honestly, then you’ll find out.”
Toji is smug as he professes, “I’m intrigued, I’ve never been punished before.”
You bring his hand down away from your face, standing up, Toji’s gaze following your every move. “When I’m done with you, you’re going to tell me what happened. Understand?” You grab his chin, tilting his face up towards you with your lips a breath away from his. You can feel the way his breathing has changed, pupils dilated as they look into yours. His breath fans against your lips, as desperately as you want to devour him, you can’t. Not yet.
“You’ll have to punish me very hard, then,” Toji whispers.
You let go of his chin and walk back over to your closet, “Lay on the bed for me,” You order, kneeling to look for what you had in mind. You find the handcuffs alongside a ribbon and turn back around, where Toji had obeyed your orders by laying on the bed. You go back over to the bed, get on it, and crawl over to him. You straddle over his lap with your legs on either side of his hips. You can feel how hard he already is underneath you but you don’t acknowledge it.
“Oh, you’re kinky, aren’t ya?” Toji comments as you take his hand, clasping the handcuff around on one wrist and then the other. You finish it off by binding the handcuffs to the headboard of your bed with the ribbon. You look down at the man that lays beneath you; this man that radiated confidence and strength was now at your mercy — and you loved it.
“This is how you will be at my service,” You tell him, cupping the side of his face, “but you talk too much for my liking.” Your other hand goes to your pants which are still wet and slip them down, throwing them to the side once they’re off. You follow it by taking your panties off, too and proceed to shove them into Toji’s mouth.
Your thumb traces small circles on his cheek, “Aww,” You coo at him, “much better.”
Toji tries to speak, but his voice is muffled with your panties stuffed in his mouth. He looks at you with hooded eyelids, his chest going up and down. You place your pointer finger by the corner of his eyes and run it alongside his face, “You look so cute like this, you know that?”
You notice the tone on Toji’s face, a light blush of pink adorning his tan skin. You lean back, cocking your head and humming in thought, “Wonder how I should punish you…” your fingers move to his neck, wrapping around it, his eyes widening. You lightly grasp the sides of his neck, his eyelids fluttering close at the sensation.
“Oh my,” You delight at him, “you’re so sensitive when you’re like this.” He responds by opening his eyes, his nostrils flaring as he breathes heavily through them. You lean into him, your lips ghosting where his pulse flutters crazily. “If you had just been honest with me,” You purr into him, “you wouldn’t be tied up like this.” You lean back, smiling at him and letting go of his neck. You press more weight off your crotch against his hard dick underneath you. At the sensation, Toji lets out a groan that shifts into a whimper when you begin to rub your crotch against it.
“Don’t even think for a second I’m going to let you cum,” You assert grimly, “bad boys like you need to be taught a very good lesson.”
You have no idea how you even had this in you. In all your sexual experiences, it was always you on the receiving end of being dominated. You had never dominated any one of your sexual partners. And the fact that you were doing it with the man who had your wrists tied up last week is beyond your comprehension. Your hands go to the hem of his sweatshirt and you push it up, exposing his defined abdomen.
Your hands splayed across his torso, looking at him through your lashes, “I don’t just want to punish you — I want you to fucking cry, Fushiguro.”
You feel Toji shiver at your words — he whines. It makes you want to drool but you know you have to keep up your persona for this to work. His jaw clenches at biting down your panties that fill up his mouth. You move back, your hands now on his boxers. His hard dick forms a tent against the fabric, your palm his erection which causes his hips to lurch upwards.
You lightly slap his thigh, and he brings them back down. You look back at him, he looks at you helplessly. It drives you crazy, how exposed and vulnerable he appears. You recite his words, “Let’s see how wet you are,” You pull down his boxers, his hard dick springing up and falling against his lower abdomen. Just as you expected, the head of his dick is dripping with precum. You pull down his boxers all the way and put them to the side.
“Disgusting,” You spit out, “an old man like you getting hard over a young woman like me?” Your hand goes to his heavy balls, his hair dark and curly — which is undeniably cute. “You’re such a pervert, Fushiguro,” You cup his balls, resulting in Toji throwing his head back against your pillow, moaning. “If you’re this sensitive already, I think you might just cum if I put your dick inside my pussy.”
Toji’s cheek is pressed to his shoulder, practically heaving through his nostrils. You then grab his dick in your hands, earning another moan from him. You lean down, grabbing your hair and moving it to one side of your shoulder. You look up at him, locking gazes with him, and give him a single lick with your tongue to his hard, dripping head.
Toji’s bottom lip quivers, his wrists pulling at the handcuffs but he has nowhere to go. He is restrained to the bed, right where you want him. It makes you laugh, “I never knew a man like you could enjoy something like this.” Another kitten lick to the head of his dick, “I’m still not convinced that you should cum, though.” You let go of his dick, dropping back to his lower abdomen. You sit up, arms crossed over your chest, “Convince me,” You tell him, “why should I let you cum?”
Toji’s voice is muffled, and you crawl over him until your face is above his. “Let me help with that,” You take your panties out from his mouth,  there’s drool at the corners of his lips.
“Let me cum,” He breathes out, “please.”
You shake your head, “That’s it? Not very convincing, old man.”
His green eyes are clouded with lust and overstimulation, “Please,” He tries again, “give it to me. Whatever it is, I can take it,” he rambles in a gravel voice, “please, doll. Whatever you do, as long as you make me cum, I’ll be happy.”
You taunt him, “But why do you deserve to cum? After being such a bad boy tonight?” Toji huffs in annoyance, and you grab his face with your hand, fingers pinching his cheeks. In a leveled tone, you say, “I haven’t even punished you yet and you’re already this impatient?”
Toji swallowed thickly, you let go of his cheeks, “I deserve it because I’ll be a good boy for you,” He deciphers, his tone desperate, “I’ve never had anyone do this to me. I want you to punish me. Do it. Punish me until I’m crying and then give it to me. I deserve it because I’m the only one that will make you cum the hardest in all your life. Fuck every man you’ve slept with, I’ll fuck your brains out for the rest of your life. I promise.”
You’re melting on the inside, you want to crash into him, kiss him on the mouth and shove his dick inside you. But you can’t. Not until he’s crying. So you shove the panties back into his mouth, making him gag at your harshness. You give his cheek a peck before shimmying back down to his waist. You grab his dick and run your finger from the bottom to the top, where you press the flat of your thumb against his leaking, hot slit. This makes Toji’s eyes cross, there’s sweat building up at his temples. And you do this a couple of times, applying pressure to the head of his dick and then lifting your thumb from it. It has him panting through his nose, his dick becoming a darker shade of red.
You give his dick a little slap with your hand, and he whimpers, “Count, Toji,” You command, “if you lose count, we’ll have to start over.”
Toji muffles against your panties, “One…”
“Good boy,” You tell him, “you worried me so much tonight,” You’re lightly fondling his balls, only giving him teasing light squeezes. You give the tip of his dick another light slap. His thigh muscles tense up.
“Two!” Toji moans.
“Showing up drunk like that,” You shake your head, “did you think there wouldn’t be consequences to your actions?”
Slap!
“Three!”
“It’s a shame no one has ever punished you,” You run your finger down his dick, his body shuddering. You notice for the first time a throbbing vein that runs down his shaft. It’s so pretty. His body feels so hot underneath your touch, “Because they’ve never been able to see just how beautiful a strong man looks when they’re tied up.”
Slap!
“Four…”
“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?” Your fingers wrap around his hard length and drag your hand at an astonishingly slow pace.
Toji cries against the gag, even though it’s incoherent, you can tell he’s not keeping count of anything. You stop your movements, causing Toji to lift his head, his chest heaving up and down frantically.
“What is it?” You jibe with an innocent smile, “What’s wrong, baby?” Toji’s eyes roll to the back of his head as you press your thumb back on his wet tip, “We’re only at four slaps and you look like you’ve had enough. Remember when I took six spanks from you?” When you don’t get a response that satisfies you, you give his dick another slap. Toji doesn’t keep count, he is groaning.
“Oh?” You let his dick fall back onto his lower stomach, “You poor, poor baby,” You make your way back over to being on top of him. When you’re closer to him, it’s then when you notice his eyes glossed over with tears, salvia on his chin. You take the panties out, he pants against your lips.
“Make me cum!” He mewls, “Please, doll. Make daddy cum.” You never thought you’d hear him in such a despairing state. It almost made you dizzy. Now you understood the high people got from being dominant.
“No, I’m daddy here,” You remark with a smirk, “and besides, you lost count.”
You hear your bed frame creak as Toji fights against the cuffs, “Please,” His deep voice cracks, “I want it, mommy. Please, please!”
You are about to push him further but it’s then that Toji completely breaks down. You smile wider at him calling you ‘mommy.’ His green eyes are completely glossed over. Your thumb wipes at one of his tears falling down the side of his temple, “There we go,” You whisper, “there’s so pretty tears.” You reach between the space of your bodies and wrap your fingers around his dick. You stroke him, sending Toji’s eyes to go cross-eyed.
“Fuuuck!” He drawls out, “Fuck, doll…”
“Mmh,” You press your lips right below his jaw. It’s the opposite side of his fresh hickey. You move your kisses down until it's at his neck and suction your lips around the skin as you pump him harder and faster.
Toji curses between moans, “Yes, mommy,” He whines, “yes, yes! Just like that!”
His dick feels hot in your hand, you can tell he’s close. You keep sucking at the skin of his neck while your pace fastens. Toji’s hips buckle forward and his body is trembling, letting out a deep groan as you feel his warm cum paint your hand.
Toji’s eyes clenched shut at the pure bliss running through him, “Fuck, fuck,” He exhales, “feel so good, kitten.”
You pull back and look down at him, his eyebrows are furrowed as he finishes cumming. “Such a slut,” You patronize him, “you know that?”
Toji gasps when your hand keeps stroking him after finishing. You let go, his dick beginning to soften up. Toji pleads in a whisper, “Kiss me, please.”
Before you do, you say, “Only because you said ‘please,’” and you press your lips against his. Your tongues overlap, swirling. Saliva builds up at the corner of your mouth as well. Your hands move to his head, fingers lacing in between his hair strands. He tastes slightly like alcohol, even a little bit like cigarettes. But you love it. You can smell him, his sweat, his arousal. He’s at the grace of your fingertips, quite literally. You want to break him again, again and again. And then you want to put him together, again, again, and again. You don’t know why but you just do. You find your hips grinding against his upper torso, the friction giving you pleasure against your clit.
You snap out of it when you remember why you even brought him to a breaking point, pulling back. Toji gives you a yearning look from the space between you two. “Now tell me the truth,” You say, breathless, “what happened earlier tonight at work that made you drunk.” You wrap your fingers around his neck again, lightly squeezing, “I punished you, now you answer truthfully.”
Toji answers in a breathy tone, “I escorted someone.”
You apply pressure to his neck, and he looks at you with half-lidded eyes, “Did something happen?”
He clenches his jaw, “We had sex if that’s what you mean—”
You cut him off, “You know that’s not what I mean,” You warn, “answer me, honestly, Toji.”
His eyes flicker to the side and then back over to you, “I drank before the appointment.”
“Why?”
He closes his eyes, slightly shaking his head, exhaling through his nose. “It helps with getting through the appointment.”
This time, your tone is softer, “Why?”
Toji is silent for a moment, and instead says, “Why do you want to know?”
“Because you interrupted my night by being the little slut you are,” You note sharply.
Your comment makes him smirk, breathing out a laugh, “I can’t help it. Might just do it again if it means getting punished like this—”
You interrupt him again, but this time by shoving two of your fingers into his mouth. His eyes widen, and he chokes on your fingers. You pull them back out as if they weren’t even in his mouth, to begin with.
Through clenched teeth, you say, “Answer. The. Question.”
Toji coughs, his eyes scanning your face, “I don’t want to remember,” He discloses, his voice strained. “I don’t want to remember any of it. That’s why.”
Your hand lets go of his neck, feeling that knot in your stomach tighten. His words feel like a knife to your skin. Resonating too deeply with you that it makes you want to break open and sob. And you do. Your shoulders are shaking, your cheeks are wet, and tears fall onto Toji’s face. You're heaving, choking on your cries that feel like they’re going to break your bones.
A look of deep concern is displayed on Toji’s expression, not sure how to even respond. He’s still handcuffed to your headboard and all he can do is look at you. He says, “Miss L/N, it’s okay.”
You sniffle, bringing the back of your hand across your eyes. Still crying, you uncuff Toji, his wrists falling. He prompts himself onto his elbows, with you still in your lap. You catch Toji off guard for the hundredth time tonight, as you engulf him in a hug. His face is in your neck, it’s then when he realizes his wrists are sore from the strain of the handcuffs. Toji is frozen for a moment, not sure what to do or react. You’ve calmed down, and Toji hugs you back, giving your neck a chaste kiss.
Your guys’ hug is interrupted by a phone ringing. The two of you turn to look and see that it’s Toji’s phone ringing forming the living room. You get off his lap and Toji grabs his phone from the coffee table. You’re waiting by the living room entrance, arms crossed over your chest.
“I’ve gotta take this,” Toji grumbles, and steps outside of the room and into the bathroom. “Shiu,” Toji answers the call.
“We’ve got an assignment,” Shiu states, “they want it done in a couple of hours.”
“Who is it for?” Toji asks.
“It’s the woman you’ve been assigned to,” Shiu explains.
Toji grits his teeth, the woman he had been assigned to escort the last couple of times. He ends the call and comes back into your bedroom, “I need to go,” He says curtly. His demeanor has changed, no longer is he the helpless man who was begging to cum not that long ago.
Another cut at you — it hurts you so much to hear him say he needs to go. You want to ask him to stay, but something tells you that if you do that, he wouldn’t stay. You slip your panties back on, the ones that were in Toji’s mouth. They’re wet against you from his pathetic salvia. You go over to your washing machine in the hallway and take out his drenching clothes that still were in the middle of a cycle wash. You shove the clothes into his hands, dripping.
Toji notices your changed attitude as well, he wants to kiss you on the cheek and tell you that he’s not leaving because of you. But he could never tell you what he does for a living. What he’s been doing his whole life to make needs met. Toji wrings out his clothes in your bathroom over the bathtub and changes into them. They’re uncomfortable and hard to put on but he has no other choice. Toji walks into the living room where you’re waiting for him at the front door that’s already open for him.
Toji wants to reassure you, he can see it on the look on your face — that you’re pissed off at him. His hand comes up to your face in hesitation, and before it can meet your cheek, you place something in his hands;
Toji takes a look at his palm; it’s his apartment keys. He was going to leave without them, Toji was always attentive when it came to small things such as that.
You bid him farewell bitterly, “Grab a cab.”
Toji does the only thing he can do to somewhat reassure you, “I’ll see you at the appointment, Miss L/N.” And he leaves your place.

tbh i would love any kind of internet security list you could provide whenever you have time! :)
*kracks knuckles*
Tumblr media
INTERNET SECURITY LIST AND OTHER FIREFOX EXTENSIONS
▷ use firefox, not safari or edge and Definitely Not google chrome;
▷ always use duckduckgo as your regular search engine. even w the extensions below you’ll see that none of them will light up bc duckduckgo is awesome and doesn’t track u;
▷ go to your add-ons and get these extensions (alphabetical order):
— adNauseum (fake-clicks on every ad it detects a bunch of times so the company's analytics will be all fucky-wucky and it will cost companies lotsa money)
— cookie autodelete
— decentraleyes
— disconnect
— don’t track me google
— duckduckgo privacy essentials
— hoxx vpn proxy (free, although limited, vpn)
— https everywhere
— localCDN
— privacy badger (redirects your trackers babey!)
— privacy possum (falsifies data so it costs companies as much money as possible)
— TrackMeNot (does randomly generated searches on random search engines so it hides what you really search for AND makes analytics all fucky-wucky)
— uBlock origin (superior adblocker)
— WhatCampaign (swaps out google analytics with fake shit, do you see a pattern? once again! the analytics are, repeat after me, fucky-wucky!)
▷ other add-ons that i do recommend but have nothing to do with tracking/adblocking:
— auto tab discard (closes ur tabs after long time no use, mend it to your own settings);
— bitwarden (one place to keep all your passwords, would not recommend putting Very Important ones like your bank account there but, like, tumblr works);
— dark mode (automatically makes websites dark, isn't perfect but it's nicer than being blinded by every Wikipedia page at 3am when you're losing that sense of existence and what is and isn't real anymore)
— firefox multi account containters (sort your tabs babey! give cute colors to your tabs, separates them from work/personal/shopping/etc.)
— google docs dark mode (turn off dark mode and use this one for docs, works amazingly)
— grammarly
— honey (save money, use honey ;))
— mind the time (keep track of how much time you've spent on a tab)
— reddit container and facebook container (two seperate add-ons but keeps your reddit and facebook stuff separate from the rest)
— reverso context (for my fellow bilinguals who sometimes Do Not Know the words and then there they are)
— shinigami eyes (it's a starting extension but it tries to hide transphobic and other anti-lgbtq+ stuff from your view. when you see something's slipped through, you can report it to them so they hide it from other users)
— simple tab groups (sort your tabs in groups with names n stuff)
— sponsorblock (also a starting extension, but hides sponsored-moments from youtube videos and makes you enjoy the content you're there for, not the 783rd hello fresh or raid shadow legends ad. it's user-driven, so be sure to submit the moments where there is sponsored content to help other viewers!)
— tranquility reader (if u don't want to be overwhelmed by all the functions on a webpage and just. read. the. damn. text.)
— unpaywall (a MUST for all students or people in research-driven workfields. read those paywalled items and articles! learning should be free! another option for this extension is 12ft ladder)
and those are all the extensions i currently have on my firefox. if you have any recommendations, drop 'em in my inbox and I'll add them to this list!! hope this helps you out!
small reminder that adding more extensions might make your firefox slower, but trust me, is alllll worth it.
stay safe out there on the big wide web that wants to know everything about you. don't tell them more than what you want them to know xx

Hi lovely content creating friends!
I have noticed something weird going on when viewing posts in tumblr's mobile dark-mode. From experimenting on my own posts, it seems that unwanted formatting is carried over when copying and pasting from an external source (such as Google docs). It will look something like this in mobile dark mode, where regular text remains black and formatted text (such as itallics) becomes white:
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, copying and pasting without formatting doesn't seem to be a quick fix since tumblr will treat this as one block of text (and it will likely exceed their 4,096 character limit per block).
So if you create content and want to make that content accessible to dark mode users, this is something you'll need to keep an eye out for. It goes without saying that if people can't read your content, it will impact your engagement.
If you want to avoid this happening with your posts, there are a few things you can look out for. If you switch the to the HTML editor for your post, you can usually find a tag that looks something like this: < span style = " color : # 000000 " >. This is carried over text formatting, and deleting any tags like this should solve the problem. Here's a short little tutorial on how to do this.
If you are posting something that's really long, like a story, then I would recommend translating your text into HTML and pasting it directly into the HTML Editor that I accessed in the video above. AO3 put together a beautiful Google Doc here that runs a script to convert all of your text into HTML. The instructions tell you exactly what to do, and since tumblr has made this change it has been life saving. You can find more about this doc and other neat tools from the @ao3org tumblr here.
Lastly, if you're a mobile dark mode user and you encounter a post that looks like this, rather than scroll past please consider switching to light mode or accessing the post from a computer. Please support content creators even if you have to go a little out of your way to do so 💕

Sorry, don't think I could do Matt justice, but check out Person In The Mirror (Naethan Apollo) & Devil's Advocate (The Neighborhood) as a coy suggestion. The more sassy sped up & slowed down versions respectively might make this choice feel more tactful..

Tromsø, Norway: The North Above the North
I am not a "cold-weather" person, both in personality and in personal inclination. So you might wonder why someone like me would go to Norway in December. And if you asked me this after I actually got there, it would've been a damn good question! But I had a single reason, and a good one:
Tumblr media
That's right, I went to see the northern lights. The green lady. "A-AURORA BOREALIS??", in the words of Superintendent Chalmers. People much smarter than me say this is caused by the sun's upper atmosphere emanating a solar wind that reaches *our* upper atmosphere. While not the most consistent place in the world to see it, Tromsø is one of the easiest and largest to try your luck.
Disclaimers from the Top of the World
The first thing you should know about Tromsø is that the sun doesn't come up for most of winter. You'll have light for a few hours, sure, but it's not the same. The meaning of darkness is different when it's ever-present, and those brief few hours of light mean everything. I found myself wanting to shed my coat and soak the light in through every pore of my body.¹ Depression is a real problem here, so is alcoholism. (I was even told by a local that they track alcohol purchases via card, to make sure nobody is drinking too much in the dark months!)²
Tumblr media
The "sunset" over the Tromsø harbor, 1:35 PM.
The second thing you should know is that you need traction on your footwear. Pack your snow boots, or buy some shoe spikes because otherwise you'll be spending a good chunk of your time here on the ground, cursing the ice. My dumb-ass had decided to come to Norway on a whim, without thinking or preparing, so I showed up in my Doc Martens slipping and sliding. I almost couldn't make it to my Airbnb, my host having to come down and help me up the hills!! Thankfully I was able to borrow boots from my, again, incredibly lovely host³, but my god you've never appreciated gravel so much!
The Tromsø Troll Museum
That's right, the main attraction in the city, the reason you flew hundreds, perhaps even thousands of miles! This tiny museum with a bunch of trolls scattered all around!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a cozy space, and if you're as fascinated as mythology as I am, it's really a must-see if you're in town. Also, there's a replica of a hulder. According to local lore, these were beautiful women who would often try to lure men away from their human homes, to live in otherworldly pleasure with them⁴, or they would marry human men and join our world, retaining their otherworldly strength⁵!
Aurora Borealis
The biggest disclaimer I'd offer for the northern lights is this, you are never guaranteed to see them, even if you do everything "right". This was such a huge source of anxiety for me until I finally had a good sighting, then I was able to relax. I recommend doing some guided tours, these are not necessary (I saw them once right outside my Airbnb!) but it's going to maximize your chances by getting you away from the city's light pollution. There's many different modes of transportation for this, I myself took a bus and a boat, but I saw advertisements for planes, helicopters and even dog sleds*. The first time I ever witnessed the northern lights was on a sleepy little boat tour, New Year's Eve 2023.⁶
Tumblr media
The interior was very cozy, more importantly it was warm, essential on a night with subzero wind chill. I enjoyed cookies and coffee and hot chocolate with marshmallows!
The lights don't look like the pictures, that should be stressed. The vast majority of aurora borealis photos are taken via long-exposure, and our eyes just don't work the same way. But on a good night you can see a faint green distortion in the sky, as if a riff into another dimension. It's like you expect an alien spaceship, or the giant hand of a monster to come ripping out of it, changing our world forever.⁷ But for the natives of Tromsø, it's just a day like any other.
Tumblr media
View of the Aurora Borealis, from my Airbnb the next day.
I also recommend booking a few different tours, if you're like me and only really need to see it once, many will let you cancel on 24hrs notice if you pay extra. I recommend this as a good way to save money, but I'm kinda a cheapskate, so what do I know?
Also, please don't be discouraged if you don't see the lights on any given tour, you still do get some really beautiful photographs. It's important to keep a sense of relativity about you, you are standing at the top of the world, in the freezing cold. And in this moment you are having a novel human experience, regardless of whether or not you see some pretty lights on top of it.

What I Ate
Now, you might think the food is very bare-necessities in this sleepy arctic city, but you'd be surprised! One of the first things I had was something I had actually failed to find in Oslo, a delicious Norwegian donut called a skolebolle:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With a custard center and coconut flakes trimming the top, it's a deliciously sweet treat that I found in a Eurospar for the equivalent of a dollar. I recommend enjoying it with black coffee! Not pictured are the other things I got from the store, including paprika-flavored potato chips (highly recommended) and a large bar of Freia milk chocolate, which you'll not be disappointed by.
There's also an abundance of little convenience stores that will get you hot meals for relatively cheap (Northern Europe is expensive!) On the right you'll see a pepperoni calzone that was pretty good, along with a Norwegian soda that was less so. But if you're looking for a finer taste of Tromsø, stay with me:

This is a sampling I did of Aquavit, the signature liquor of Scandinavia. All of it was made right here in Tromsø, and I had a lovely guide for this tasting. To name a few, lingonberries and reindeer meat, not to mention a small slice of grapefruit.⁸ It's a little skimpy, however the point isn't to eat, but to taste!⁹
Conclusion/Takeaways
It can be a very scary thing, to be so far away from home. In all my years of travel, though that uncertainty has diminished, it never truly goes away. Maybe travel is just like any other experience, your tolerance to it builds until you only feel the original high when you get even further out of the world as you've known it. In this way, travel is much like a drug. But what moves me most about travel is its capacity to help us understand not just the planet we live on, but our own place within it. And if you ever feel lost for purpose, I might recommend standing on top of the world, hunting for otherworldly apparitions in the sky //

Footnotes:
¹ Of course, if you actually try to walk around in Tromsø without a coat, you will a)freeze to death and b)look stupid
² LITERALLY 1984
³ Of course, I had to return the boots when I left for the airport, meaning I fell not once, not twice, but THREE times trying to get down the hills to the bus stop. Seriously, you can't wear your Docs, no matter how fashionable and punk rock they are!
⁴ But why would you want to do that, when society is sooooooo good?? Like, who wants to live in a fantasy world where there is no suffering or want when we have Pizza Hut here, right now?
⁵ A hulder also features prominently on the cover of that one metal album by the murderous Nazi that your friend still listens to, despite knowing he's, you know, a MURDEROUS NAZI.
⁶ I would later go on to watch a man in lederhosen play The Weeknd, Cher, and at midnight ABBA's "Happy New Year", all on a keyboard. Dude was a one-man entertainment MACHINE, the vibe was immaculate.
⁷ As seen in Avengers 17: We Saved the World Again, in theaters this summer! Go watch it. Right now. The corporations demand it. DO IT. CONSUME.
⁸ Make sure your meds don't interact with grapefruit. Grapefruit may cause side effects including sour taste. Ask your doctor if grapefruit is right for you.
⁹ You know, like, a tasting menu or something!!

The Daily Dad
Things you might want to know, for Dec 19, 2023:
Tumblr media
23andMe confirms hackers stole ancestry data on 6.9 million users — It’s probably too late and my warnings are pointless, but please kids… don’t give something as valuable as your DNA to a for-profit company that views security as a cost-center. It’s not just the millions of 23andMe suckerscustomers who have lost control of their genetic identity… their family members are compromised, too. Maybe it’s just me, but finding out you’re actually 8% Neanderthal isn’t worth giving the Russian mob the blueprints to your ancestry.
COMIXOLOGY, RIP — I was there at the start, with my little iPhone 3GS, ready to plow through a digital comic collection in Guided View mode. I was certain Comixology was going to save the comics business, and revitalize the audience. Now here we are at the end, nothing has been achieved, and a decade of progress has disappeared into the Kndle app, never to be seen again. Fucking A.
Using the iPad Pro as a Portable Monitor for My Nintendo Switch with Orion, a Capture Card, and a Battery Pack — Okay, I eat this kind of shit up. It’s absurd on a practical level, but it’s the kind of thing I’m likely to try, just for the hell of it.
Here’s what intentionally crashing a plane for YouTube clicks gets you — To paraphrase Robin Williams: the ability to crash a plane for attention is God’s way of telling you that you’re making too much money.
Facebook Messenger Rolls Out End-to-End Encryption by Default — About fucking time, Zuck. I guess he figures the petabytes of pre-E2E conversations that they can use to train their LLM will suffice, so it’s time to let the peasants have their privacy.
Tumblr media
Noah Hawley: How 'Twin Peaks' Influenced My Work — If you were between 16 and 30 in 1990 and had any sort of creative impulse, Twin Peaks influenced your work.
What Did It Mean That Howard the Duck Was Trapped 'in a World He Never Made'? — The ‘80s movie and modern MCU cameos don’t do justice to the comic book Howard of the 1970s. He was dark and weird and absurd and (?) sexy and grown-up in a way that other comics on the spinner rack hadn’t been in decades, and I was enthralled.

‘Now and Then,’ the Beatles’ Last Song, Is Here, Thanks to Peter Jackson’s AI — The song is very good, and the technical skill and care that went into its recovery is just as interesting. The video is just goofy fun, very much in keeping with The Beatles pre-breakup sensibilties. Overall, a delightful and unexpected treat in a year that was full of absolute bullshit.

Humane Debuts $700 AI Pin With 'Laser Ink Display' — Do I think this will be a success? No. It’s too niche and weird. But as a signal of life beyond the smartphone, it’s an intriguing development.

DAK and the Golden Age of Gadget Catalogs — As a household, we didn’t receive a ton of mail as a kid… we saw only a fraction of the junk that hits my physical mailbox these days. But every few months, the DAK catalog would arrive, and I knew I was in for at least a night or two of nerdy, consumerist joy. Page after page of discontinued, misconfigured, or too-oddball-for-the-general-market gadgets were waiting to tempt me with deep discounts on things no one really needed. Sheer bliss, I tell you.

hi I am a young trans guy and aspiring author myself who found out abt you through Escapade and Marvel. I've been meaning to start getting more books for a while now especially because most of my books are from pre-transition and also little kids or preteen books lol. So uh, any recommendations for where to start for getting into your works? Like a first book or two I should buy?
Thanks so much for reaching out — it’s always great to hear from another trans creator. <3
In terms of which book to jump on... let’s see. Victories Greater Than Death is a YA book, the first of a trilogy, with a pansexual protagonist who has a romance with a transfeminine person. (The transfem gets to be a major POV character in books two and three.) The vibe of Victories is silly fun space opera with a hint of darkness, in the mode of Guardians of the Galaxy or She-Ra.
I have a short story collection called Even Greater Mistakes which includes a LOT of stories about trans and queer characters. There’s one really dark/scary story about a transphobic dystopia, but also a ton of uplifting, friendly stories about trans people finding love and community.
My novel The City in the Middle of the Night has canonically queer characters, and a lot of people view the main character’s journey as a metaphor for transition. It’s dark and weird, but ends up being a lot about found family on an alien planet.
I also have a non-fiction book called Never Say You Can’t Survive, about how to get through hard times by making up your own stories. It’s full of helpful advice about staying creative when things get really bad, which I wish wasn’t still so relevant.
Also, I’m finishing up writing a novel about a transfem protagonist, but that won’t be out until 2024 at the soonest. :P
Hope this helps!!!

Warnings:
Hello
First and foremost, thank you for reading my fanfiction. You have honored me, but there are a few things I need to point out.
This fic will take place in the Alternative Universe/Modern Setting, where Vash and his brother, Knives, are dons of a well-known Mafia family. This fic can be viewed as a divergence in the canon storyline where Vash chooses to stay with Kni and never leaves him. So, he's going to have a little different character than what you're familiar with, but I'll try to keep his personality traits.
Therefore, if you are uncomfortable with seeing Vash in his dark mode, please, for all that is holy, do not read and then proceed to leave nasty comments because the plot is unchangeable.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Second, this dark-romance story includes too many sexual situations, dub-con, graphic violence, gore, angst, and toxicity.
A lot of toxicity, guys!
And I'm a woman in love with Vash the Stampede, okay? I want to see his dick as much as possible. And you know what? For the sake of the plot, I made him bisexual in this fic, but since this is a "Vash x Female Reader" fic, there will not be gay smut scenes. I have nothing against it. It's just that I'm not ready to write it at the moment.
I'd strongly recommend not reading this story if any of these are triggering for you.
The warnings listed here are not what I am concerned about. In fact, I know these might even be appealing to some. I know some authors prefer not to reveal the specific triggers since they want the readers to experience the story blindly. I get that, but with this fanfic, I simply would not feel right if I did not clarify these triggers. The last thing I would ever want to do is put a reader through any type of trauma, whether it's new or relived. And to be frank, this fic will cover pretty fucked up subject matters.
So, in "one" of the chapters, there will be "slight" mentions of human trafficking and organ mafia. Don't worry; I did take great care not to go into the nitty-gritty, nasty details. If any readers know me, they know I don't like adding unnecessary information to my plot. This fic is no exception, and I'll stick to the relationship between Vash and Reader since this is a slow-burn romance fic.
So, my dear reader, it is at your own risk if you choose to go further. But on the other side, you may find that you have also fallen in love.
We can all only hope, right?
Tumblr media
Now, now. About the art. It belongs to Creamson, my dear friend, who is also helping me a lot with the plot. This is how we envisioned Vash's appearance in the story. Yeah, I understand. Seeing his tattoos, chiseled chest, and gun harness left me speechless as well.

Currently watching: Chainsaw Man, Urusei Yatsura, Excel Saga, Magic User's Club, Mononoke, Avenue 5... Then a friend recommended Link Click, which I'm gonna start soon. Pretty much watching 1-2 episodes of several series at any time, some first time viewings n some rewatches. When I'm in full escapism mode, having something marathoning in the background like Dark Shadows, Golden Girls, Star Trek TNG + DS9
Currently reading: Mai the Psychic Girl. Found a complete set at Half Price Books so I'm happy to just focus on finishing that :D Reading manga at bedtime has been helpful to get sleepy while also motivating me to draw more.
Current obsession: 2020 I got super into Machine Girl n that interest is still strong, but this year I got really into The Garden. And now I'm about to see them play together n_n What else hmm... Always having walnut milk chocolate on hand, refreshing lemonades n orange juice. Probably Tumblr cause I'm way more active here since Covid times
