Cozy - Kit Connor x reader
Summary: Kit and you get cozy on the couch.
A/N: I got this request, and I had lots of fun writing this piece. I hope that you like it, it isn’t as strong as my others, but I hope that it makes you smile! This is one of the first requests that I’ve done, so I hope you enjoy. Also sorry it took forever to reply to, I’m still on vacation haha, but I’ll be back home on Saturday. Happy reading - mac
“I guess we could watch tv or something?” Kit said after the two of you had finished listening the back side of the queen record that was playing. “Maybe there will be a movie on that we can watch?”
“Sounds good,” you said, flipping off the record player, “if not, we can always check on Netflix too.”
You followed Kit over to the living room, it being his house and all, and watched as he flipped the television on. Kit took a seat, as did you, beside him.
The two of you were sitting closer than “just friends” but far enough away to be “something less than lovers.” This was another parallel in your confusing relationship.
Your relationship with Kit, as lovely as it was, could be confusing at times. The two of you knew that you shared mutual feelings of fondness for one another, but neither of you had acted upon them just yet.
After flipping channels for a while, Kit stumbled upon the 90’s hit staring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, “You’ve got Mail.” Your favourite movie.
“You still like this one right?” Kit asked, relaxing back into the sofa letting his arms rest on the top of the grey cushions.
You turned to face him with smiling eyes, “are you kidding?! I love this film!”
Kit looked at you with kind eyes, “and we have our show to watch!”
The two of you sat in silence, occasionally making a remark about the plot or the characters, you were comfortable and at ease in kits presence.
“Mind if I turn this up a bit?” You asked, noticing the remote on the coffee table in front of you.
“Go ahead!” Kit said, “you should have said something if it was too quiet.”
You shook your head, “well, the part with the music is always louder!”
Little did Kit know that you needing to turn up the volume on the tv was just a way to re adjust your seating position on the couch.
Sitting back down, you inched yourself closer to kit, now the two of you only inches away. Your hips pressed together lightly and gently.
You looked to kit, smiling lightly, “is this okay?”
Kit laughed, grinning, putting right his arm around your shoulders. Pulling you into an side embrace. “So I see that the volume of the tv didn’t need adjusting after all,” he laughed.
You rolled your eyes, running a hand through his blonde hair, tousling it around in a loving matter. “I suppose so!”
You could feel the warmth of kits body radiating through his grey sweats and navy hoodie, his side pressed up against yours, his sting arm around your side. His scent was clean and woodsy, something along the lines of sandalwood and the warmth of a fall night.
The two of you lay intertwined on the couch, comfortable with one another, in a cozy embrace.
“Well aren’t you two all cuddly,” a young voice from behind said.
The two of you turned your heads to find kits younger sister standing there with a grin on her face.
You turned to Kit, smirking, “well I suppose we are.”
Kit smiled at you, “very cuddly indeed.”
