the growth of seeing wilhelm struggling under the legacy of the crown to realising that he can let go and be free summed up with the school's motto is just the most beautiful thing in the entire show. because even if wilhelm and simon's love has always been the heart of the show, what drove it forward has always been wilhelm's desire to break free from the system that has chained him down, hurt him and hurt his family. i cannot even begin to say how PROUD i am of him, and seeing his revelation being reflected with him listening to the song simon wrote and sang about him, for him.

because the song is "Wille's song". it is about him. it always has been.
