I have something ultra cool and special to share today!

These are the Nov. 2023 and Feb. 2024 issues of Nintendo Dream that, upon me seeing them, resulted in me dropping everything I had to buy them instantly 😅

Both of these focus on the SV DLC, with the second issue pictured above containing some exclusive goodies (a full Jan 2024-Jan 2025 calendar!! and a double sided poster). I'll do a little in depth dive about these below the jump and include some pictures. (also forgive me for the quality of the pictures, I'm just a lil fella with an almost four year old phone...)

The November 2023 issue provides some info about the Teal Mask and things that were to come from the Indigo Disk. Having completed both now, it is really nice to relish in these pictures, trying to imagine what it would have been like to still be waiting in anticipation for the second part!

The February 2024 issue goes a little more in depth about what there is to do in the Indigo Disk, with a (curious, to me) focus on both of the Elite Fours from S/V. I really like this issue a lot more since there are more pages dedicated to the game than the previous one (and not my Paldea Elite Four bias, I swear).

My most favorite things were the included goodies found in the February issue. There was a (giant!) double sided poster and a full year calendar!

The poster on one side contains the promotional art for the Indigo Disk. The second side displays the Paldea Elite Four (my favorite side. As someone who's most favorite characters happen to be the Academy Staff and the Paldea Elite Four, I feel like I happened to stumble upon a holy grail (｡T ω T｡) if only they'd give the academy staff more merch and actual official art though..)

The calendar is small but is packed with cute little tidbits and info about the game. They managed to assign every single day a Pokemon in the S/V dex (my birthday was assigned grafaiai... in case you were wondering).

Even though I wish the magazines kinda focused more on SV (especially the Nov. issue), I'm super elated to have these in my collection :> they're really precious and so bold. The goodies are especially something I will always hold onto.

Honestly a dream hobby of mine (ESP as I've been getting more into Making Things with My Hands -- from pins to jewelry and ESPECIALLY clothing modifications) is doll customization. ESPPP inspired by Dollightful on Youtube, where her projects get So Involved sometimes she's woodworking she's sawing off limbs she's using clay and sanding it down to reshape the doll's body to fit her vision. AND ofc any doll custom involves a new face (watercolor pencils or paints choose your fighter) and new hair (doll hair BUT I ALWAYS THINK ABOUT the way of making doll hair/wefts Out Of Yarn‼️‼️ THAT'S SO COOL) and a new outfit (sewing and crafting and ESPECIALLY considering "Okay, What material would work best to achieve the goal I'm aiming for? How does it sit? How does it flow? And most IMPORTANTLY How Does It Work!!!!!")

Like maybe it's the alleged not officially diagnosed ADHD but I GET. SO BORED. If I'm not Working With My Hands (I literally CAN'T draw digital anymore because IT'S BORING‼️‼️ IT'S TOO CLEAN ALSO‼️‼️‼️ LET ME BULLSHIT AND GET MESSY AND TRY WEIRD THINGS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT WORK ‼️‼️‼️ EXPERIMENTAL‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️)

#in highschool my ABSOLUTE DREAM was to make a lillie pokemon doll #and i would make all her different outfits (ESP from the anime she has SO many cute looks) and hairstyles (AGAIN SAME THING)#the hairstyles would likely have been wig caps made of yarn wefts (easier styling/shape holding)#and i could switch em out like nendos.#but current day the current fixation is fire emblem so i would probably exclusively just make fe charas For A While LMFAOO #BUT ESPPPPP WHEN IT COMES TO MONSTER HIGH DOLLS.... AND ALL THE VARIETY.............#could you imagine!!!!!! esp w how i treat non-human/not entirely human charas as creative exercises LMFAO #A NOWI DOLL. #apparently pm only happened bc of a change in directors and man does it show.#like it was there to advertise the dlc except oh wait nvm they dropped that. well its todevelop goh eh his usual eps do it better #i like the episode with the regis tho ill give it that. also melia will kill me if i dont #and yeah im a little bitter it took precedence over showing off ash's other pokemon at the lab including infernape #like the episode was advertised that way it was heavily promoted that hey this is gonna be infernapes comeback ash will use it again #and then the episode is just goh catching pokemon and infernape is swept to the side really quickly in the battle #they shouldve just kept goh's goal to catch em all like sure project mew is a fun way to expose him to more legends #but the base goal was fine enough to get him through the show. or at least i personally thought it did #its not like ''catch em all'' is any weaker than ''be the best water trainer'' or ''be a coordinator'' turn him into an encyclopedia #idk its like they went ''oh god ash had to collect something so uhhhh we should do that w goh too'' and then didnt really think beyond that #(and im not opposed to him getting that kind of plot line its just. would it have killed them to make it interesting?)#echoed voice
