" For reals, you've done this before right. Don't fuck it up I swear to god I will cry I'm dealing with enough shit right now babe."
" You're the one that asked me to do this for you, have some trust in me."
You comb through his braid and neatly section if off one last time before slapping on the DIY at home bleach. After getting kicked out of his old band Kayn wanted a full makeover, so with five boxes of bleach and some whining he convinced you to help him bleach and dye his hair. You stood awkwardly behind him as you comb in the bleach. Kayn wasn't wearing a shirt, so that he wouldn't ruin any tees. So it was quite a sight, hair down, topless, you pause for a bit and stare. After some thinking you sigh, you were going to miss his blue and black hair...it was so soft too...
" Hey I heard that sigh! You know I HAVE to do this...I want to change my image, show them I'm better without them!"
Kayn pouts, you see it in the mirror and laugh. Slapping on more bleach, sectioning it out and complaining once again bout how the long hair sticks to the gloves and makes it all messy. But ok, you work hard, with a roll of aluminum foil ready you neatly bleach his long hair. As you wait for the first bleaching to set in you throw a little of the leftovers on your hair too, just enough for one strip.
" Should we match colors?"
You see Kayn visibly perk up as he hears your suggestion.
" Really? I think that will be cute. Like a cringey couple."
He smirks, leaning back to take a good look at you in the toilet mirror. He starts laughing loudly.
" Wait are you copying me or making fun of me! Why bleach that same chunk of hair as the old me!"
The two of you chat for a bit as you wait for the bleach to set in, when times up you help him wash it all off in the tub. Damn his hair was really such a dark black, it was just brown now. You comment about it needed a few more rounds of bleach. Kayn sighs this time instead, exhausted already but his rockstar image was at stake, he wanted to look cool so he had to do this. He had a goal already, an ombre fade of pink and purple, it would be so cool. Sitting back down, you blow dry his hair and start on round two.
And round three. Orange.
And four. Yellow.
And five before the yellow finally lifts enough! You were finally free from seeing that yellow, orange hue! And-
Oh no. You look at a handful of hair in your hands from where you combed through his hair.
" Kayn I am so sorry..."
" No! I cannot deal with this right now please. Y/N Tell me its fine."
" I'll fix it!"
You too were unsure how to react, were you going to cry or laugh. After five bleaches, his hair kinda...fried off. Ah...you were REALLY going to miss his long hair. Promising to fix it, you grab some hair scissors and did your best. With Kayn doing everything to hold himself together while you save what you can and work out a messy cut. It actually looked really good. You tell him to look up as you blow dry his hair yet again. Promising it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be. Kayn tentatively pulls his hands away from his face as he looks at himself in the mirror. A smile slowly creeping across his face.
" Oh shit you really did fix it? The hell Y/N! Let's dye it right now! I still want that pink purple thing going down!"
He tilts his head left and right, trying to get a better look at it, an idol worthy style. Kayn nods, happy with what you've done with it. Quickly you work the colors onto his hair and yours. Laughing together as he admires himself in the mirror. Half an hour passes and you wash his hair and dry it off for the last time. Kayn himself also helping to wash the and dry your hair. You smile as the two of you admire your reflections.
" Is it me or are we looking super hot?"
He snakes and arm around your waist, pulling you close. Giving your cheek a quick kiss.
" I actually like this a lot I'm glad it worked out. Thank you Y/N."
Kayn gives you a warm smile as he runs his hands through his hair, giving it a little shake as it falls gracefully along his jawline. He turns his attention back to the mirror before he shouts.
" Oh shit yeah! Let me snap a photo!"
Kayn leaves the room for a bit, grabbing his phone and a nice shirt to snap a photo in. He returns, hand draped around your shoulder as he takes a mirror selfie with you both. The largest smile plastered on his face as he sits down and edits it to use as his new wallpaper. You would mourn his pretty braid but...he was still your charming boyfriend you could live with the new style. The short hair was starting to grow on your after all.

Hey how do you think the sans AUs would act like if they had hair.
Like who would dye it , what haircut , how often would they wash it and stuff.
i’m choosing to go for ‘human au’ on this one because skeletons with hair isn’t something i want to think about for long. mind you these are my hcs and everyone is allowed to have their own interpretation of characters! this is just how i view them. i still enjoy other human designs for them tho and arent really that picky with anything really.
error’s hair by all logic should be in awful condition because of the years without caring for his hair in the anti void but his body seems to be in a sort of stasis. oh well, to hell with all logic. i love both long dreads and braids on him and i’m always unable to pick so either or, no preference. i adore both interpretations equally. definitely blue hair, at least at the ends. maybe it’s dyed, maybe the antivoid gave him blue hair, who knows. he doesn’t remember.
ink. this is heavily inspired by a design i found on tiktok (by hlebna11) that i enjoy the concept of. long thin white hair, a good bit below waist length. he’s dyed his hair plenty times before but it all seems to fade out completely after a week or two no matter what dye he uses. his hair gets in the way of a lot/is dipped in paint/gets caught on things, but he refuses to cut it. thankfully once it hit his ‘below waist length’ it stopped growing out. (edit: by inspired by, i mean exclusively the hair part, not the skin tone! i was unaware he was canonically poc, and the design mentioned shows him as white. whitewashing is a bad thing and i did not mean to support a design featuring that!!)
dream and nightmare both have long hair. dream’s is thick and wavy golden (i don’t mean blonde, i mean actually unnaturally bright gold colored), while nightmare’s is thin and straight. nightmare’s hair would be more like dream if he wasn’t ‘corrupted’, and it was more of a curly darkish purple when he was younger than pure black like it is now. his hair is also much longer than dream’s, reaching down to near hip length while dream’s hair is like. middle of ribcage length. dream puts his hair up a lot, nightmare doesn’t. for some reason, nm’s hair never gets tangled. like at all. lucky mf
cross had short hair most of his life because it was the royal guard standard, but over time at nightmare’s without those rules, he grew it out a bit. not too much, less than shoulder length, but it's still visibly longer and more full. his hair is naturally white because xgaster had a theme going on, possibly with a black underside. he’s huge on ‘keeping it natural’, as in not dying it, but nobody believes his hair is naturally those colors.
(100% inspired by crixcrocz on tiktok you have my favorite human design for killer ever) killer’s hair is about shoulder length and the cut looks like it was done in complete darkness with a chainsaw. not much else to say here. it’s uneven and always ruffled. who let him cut his own hair. he also has that ramona style ‘two strands in the front that are longer than the rest of the hair’ thing going on. he’d dye it if dyeing it didn’t require bleaching it, which he doesn’t want to put in the effort of doing.
now for dust. i am physically incapable of imagining dust in any way other than junipers-insects’ design for him?? i’m in love with it. so that’s what i forever see him as in ‘human form’. im far from picky with designs for him tho, i've seen a lot of cool ones.
classic’s got short dreads i’m sorry i don’t make the rules. i really don’t. while i love the idea of him dyeing it he’d be way too lazy to. also this ain’t about him but classic papyrus would likely have short hair with shaved sides. you know the style. he probably also has ‘cool guy’ shaved into said sides. or flames. either that or he's got cornrows. sans does his hair
geno’s got classic’s same hair because they’re the same guy, except it’s gone pure white in the save screen because he has a theme to keep up. he jokes that he’s gone grey due to stress and i wouldn't doubt it. i also like to think his hair is longer but that "wouldn't make sense" because "his body doesn't function normally when in the save screen" or whatever so SIGH i guess he has short hair (lame)
fell is similar to classic but his dreads are longer, a little bit more than shoulder length i’d say? he puts his hair up in a ponytail a lot. there's this one human design i love for him but i cannot find it which is killing me.
swap on the other hand has short curled hair. on the hair scale i’d say it’s 3a? 3b? it’s above shoulder length but it goes below his chin. he showers like twice a day so 30% of the time you see him his hair is wet. his hair is thick too so it takes forever to dry which annoys him (me fr). i like both white and black and brown hair for him so i have no preference for color between those three. he probably dyed it blue for a while for sake of color scheme but didn't like it much. i've also seen good designs for him where he's got ginger hair too.
fresh’s hair i imagine the same as his actual human design so there’s not much in that regard for him. greaser’s hair is the same as well. i don't have many thoughts for them because their hair has already been ingrained into my mind for years
horror has thin hair due to malnutrition. like it’s really not healthy at all. it used to be much fuller and shorter years ago, but time and starvation both do numbers. his hair reaches halfway down his humerus and is often knotted or tangled, he just doesn’t care much for it compared to other things.
reaper has long straight dark gray hair that goes down to his waist. geno (or rt!tori, or whoever you ship him with/hc him to be close with in general) likes to mess with it and put it in different styles. reaper lets him because it’s fun to see him so concentrated on something.
i’m so torn on lust. honestly i’ve never seen a bad hairstyle on him, he can pull off literally anything so i don’t mind what hairstyle he has nor do i have a preference. in fact, he probably switches styles all the time, so there’s no definitive one he uses the most. his hair is def dyed purple/pink/teal at the ends. he probably also uses that hair glitter spray on it
btw i am in fact white so if i messed up with any of the poc hairstyle descriptions PLS PLS PLS let me know!!!
i also don't really imagine any of them with facial hair because i don’t like facial hair i’m too lesbian for that. stubble is fine. they got arm/leg/other such hair too when applicable but i personally just do not like big ol beards/mustaches. that's just my personal preference with that one no shame in having facial hair or enjoying it it’s just not my thing ^^;

“Adam,” you called out for your boyfriend from the bathroom. It only took him a few seconds to open the door and lean against the door frame, his arms were crossed over his chest and the look in his eyes was critical. Even though he was very much enjoying the view of you sitting there only dressed in boxer shorts in order not to mess up any clothes.
In annoyance he sighed, “What color this time?” Like don't get him wrong, he didn't mind that you dyed your hair regularly, he thought it was fucking badass, but he didn't like helping you because no matter how careful he was, he would always get that fucking hair dye on his skin and it would take days to fade. Your lips curled into a playful smirk as you put on your gloves and squirted some dye onto your plastic covered palm. “First bleaching, then purple,” you replied. Adam's eyes flickered up to look at the faded neon green that your hair currently was and decided that purple sounded like a fucking great upgrade. “Alright, gimme the gloves,” he continued to act all annoyed as he stepped closer. The brunette stopped behind you and took the gloves you held up to him. Once his hands were safe, he took the bottle with bleach inside from you. Bleach was fine, it burned a little in his eyes and it smelled absolutely horrible, but bleach didn't stain his hands for days so he could live with that. As long as none of it got onto his or your wings, that was.
The bit of bleach that you had squeezed onto your hand you roughly applied, only for Adam to bat your hand away, “You want me to help so you're gonna sit fucking still and let me do my fucking thing.” He would never admit that he secretly enjoyed your little hair dying sessions. It was relaxing, really. “So why purple?” the first man hummed as he made sure the bleach covered every inch of your hair. “Y’know, because extermination is in a couple days and your battle robe is mainly purple so,” you shrugged as you watched Adam through the mirror in front of you, “So you thought it would be a nice fucking match, huh?” he finished for you. “Damn right. Whatcha think?”
Adam thought about it for a moment, “Do you have golden dye?” You raised an eyebrow at that, curious on what his plans were. “Yeah, in the back of the cabinet is a bit of leftover gold, why?” Adam however, completely ignored your question and continued to cover your hair in bleach silently.
Once he was done the two of you decided to order food and something while the bleach was working its magic. A thing Adam didn't calculate was that the food would take some time to arrive so when it did, it was already time to wash out the chemicals. So instead of immediately eating, you two went back into the bathroom to finish your job.
“So you gonna tell me what you need that for? I asked for purple, not gold,” you were about to complain but Adam pushed you down on your shoulders until you were sitting on the chair you had placed there before you had started to mix the bleach. “Split dye babes, if you wanna match colors, we're gonna do it fucking right.” You liked the way he thought. So he used the golden hair dye on the left and the purple on the right side. Once the color was applied, the two of you finally got to eat.
“Remind me to let you pick my hair color every now ‘n’ then, big guy, because fuck you have taste,” you mumbled with a mouth full of sushi and a shit eating grin on your lips. “Did you ever doubt that?” his voice was playful as he raised an eyebrow at you, a silent challenge. “Maybe, I mean gold and purple? C’mon, that's clearly a you-thing.” If he could, he would've tackled you and wrestled you down onto the floor, pinning you down. But he couldn't because that would cause a fucking mess, not only on the floor but also on your head. So he didn't.

Well at least until you had washed it out, because the second you had turned off the sink, he wrapped his hands around your waist, lifted you up just to carry you on his shoulders like a large bag of potatoes. “The fuck?” you squeaked in surprise as Adam carried you out of the bathroom and right into your bedroom. “Adam my hair's still fucking wet!” Not that he cared. He dropped you onto the soft mattress and leaned over you within a blink and for a tiny moment you felt dizzy by how quick he had moved. “Shush bitchboy, you look absolutely fucking glorious and I take that as my sign to fuck you stupid.”

“I can’t believe this.” Eddie groaned as he banged his head against Robin’s bathroom counter.
“What? It looks good!” Robin pushed her hands through Eddie’s hair, the tips of her fingernails stained red. She was trying to fix the mess Eddie made, pulling his own hands away from yanking any hair out.
“Robin, the box said blue! This is so very clearly not blue! It’s red!” Eddie spun around to look at her. He expected her laughter or even a grimace at his new look, but instead, she simply had on her “you’re an idiot” look.
It was a special look she reserved for only Steve and Eddie.
“First off, did you bother checking the dye before you bought the box? People just switch it sometimes.”
“Well—“ Eddie was prepared to lie, but one scathing look from the lanky girl stopped him in his tracks. “—no.”
Robin tsked, “Classic dying one-oh-one, always check the box.”
“Get off your high horse, Robbie; what do you know?”
“Clearly my ‘you’re an idiot’ face wasn’t enough—“ Eddie knew the look was special “—you’re an idiot, Munson.”
“Hey!”
Robin rolled her eyes and pushed on. “You literally came to me for a reason, as I have experience in the at-home dye process. As you can tell from the lovely highlights I gave myself.” She fluffed her shoulder-length hair, clearly impressed with herself.
“It still looks terrible.”
“Jesus, Eddie. You’re such a drama queen. It looks great! Besides, it's not like you bleached it; your hair is just tinted red. You look hot."
"Says the lesbian!"
Robin looked like she was about to protest until a sudden noise came from the living room.
"Robs! I'm home! I got the Vaseline you asked for, which I still don't understand what you need for." Steve's voice echoed throughout the apartment.
Robin got a wicked grin on her face, one Eddie had never seen before. It was worse than her idiot face. "Well, if my lesbianism offends you so greatly, why don't we get someone who's more your style? Hmmmm?"
Eddie scrambled after Robin, who was already wrenching the door wide open, "No, please. Robin, I'm sorry! I won't ever question you again!"
It was too late; Robin was a woman on a mission. "Oh, Steven dear! Would you please make your way to the bathroom? I want your opinion on something."
Eddie debated making a break for it through the window. His hopes were destroyed seconds after when he remembered they were on the third floor.
Steve sighed, but his footsteps approached the bathroom. "Not even my name, Robin. And I swear if you are asking me if you have a mustache again, I will—" Steve stopped at the sight of Eddie. Silence filled the room as he stared.
Maybe Eddie could survive with a broken foot.
Robin pinched Eddie when she noticed his line of sight. "Ow! This is homophobia!"
Eddie's yelling seemed to snap Steve out of it. "New hair?" He hadn't moved from his spot in the entryway, seemingly rooted to place. A faint blush dusted his cheeks as he eyed Eddie.
Eddie pulled a piece of hair in front of his mouth, suddenly nervous. "Yeah, it—uh—it looks silly, I know. The box said blue, and it was supposed to make the black deeper, and someone switched the dye—"
"Can I get a closer look?" Steve interrupts.
"What?" Eddie startled.
This time, Steve stepped forward, placing himself in Eddie's space. His fingers brushed the hair out of Eddie's hands to behind his ear. "Do you mind if I...?"
Eddie nodded frantically as all words escaped him.
Steve's thumb brushed Eddie's cheekbone, a gentle rhythm to soothe him. Steve moved his hand into Eddie's curls, never once breaking eye contact. "Pretty."
It was Eddie's turn to blush, "Tha—thanks. I am, uh, know it's strange."
As Steve hummed, Eddie could hear Robin fake gagging in the background. Eddie kicked her shin. "Sure, it could be strange. But I think that's fitting for you. Besides, I think any color would look nice on you. This one is especially gorgeous, though." Steve's hand lingered on the back of Eddie's neck as he stroked his hair.
Eddie was going to pass out. "Really?"
"Yea, Eds. You're always beautiful."
The two stared for a moment, lost in each other. Eddie wondered if this moment meant something. The glimmer in Steve's eye told him yes.
A throat cleared behind them, "As lovely and obviously very straight as this moment is, are you over your breakdown now? Can I go study?"
Steve laughed but didn't let go of the back of Steve's neck, the moment not quite as broken as Eddie thought it would be.
"Yea, Robs, go study. Think I'm going to braid Eddie's new hair for him."
Eddie was sure his cheeks matched his hair, red and blotchy. Steve seemed to like them both, though, so he made sure not to complain again.
"Disgusting." Robin pushed her way through the both of them, throwing an "A thank you would be nice!" over her shoulder.
"Thank you, Robin!" Eddie shouted, eyes never leaving Steve.
Steve tugged on a curl and grinned, "Yea, thanks, bobby!"

Percabeth after the first war, who haven’t really gotten to be teenagers, who feel both too old and too young for their skin. Who are so so glad that the war is over, but also feel surprisingly lost, because fighting the war has been their future, their purpose, their job for as long as they can really remember
Annabeth and Percy, who do what all adrift teens do when everything is overwhelming and painful and exciting and when it feels like you don’t have a purpose any more:
they make a bucket list.
it starts small. They go clothes shopping together, close enough to Sally’s house that they can get home quick if they need too. They start to develop their own senses of style. They go to a farmers market. They make graffiti at one point and nearly get caught but the entire time they’re giggling through their fingers.
then comes the hair.
it was just a random item on the bucket list: hair dye.
and they were going to get crazy colors, Percy was going to dye his bright teal blue, no hesitation. He was decided. But then they’re standing in the shopping aisle, looking at the colorful boxes, and Percy’s eyes catch on a model, and they have long dark hair that’s just the same shade as Annabeth’s.
and he scans the aisle, and there’s another one, a bright sandy gold, and he turns to Annabeth, who is debating between silver and purple with all the intensity of a teenage war veteran, and says “I have a stupid idea”
they grab a boxed bleach on their way out.
they dye their hair together, and it’s a mess and the dye gets everywhere and it’s not quite even and both of them get a little light headed from the fumes but it’s so much fun
and they refuse to let anyone in the bathroom until their hair is dyed, rinsed and blow dried even though it takes forever because bleaching is a much longer process
when they finally emerge, Sally gasps and then starts to laugh and then Paul joins in and then they’re all laughing.
Percy’s hair is black, Annabeth’s hair is blond.
They’ve switched hair colors. And it’s silly, but it’s also a constant reminder that they’re not alone.
It’s being able to wake up from a nightmare and seeing blond hair on your pillow instead of black and thinking “Percy”. It’s having a bad day where you can’t seem to keep your mind from slipping away from you, then seeing black hair in the corner of your vision and thinking “Annabeth”. It’s a tangible sign that they are connected, that they are alive, and that there is someone who understands. A physical reminder of love.
When their roots grow out, they look at their inverted hair and smile. Like always, they match.

Dndads Headcanons, season 2 kiddads and teens (appearance based)
the order of the kiddads from tallest to shortest is: terry jr, sparrow (by like half an inch), lark, grant, nick (but none of them are really all that short)
Lark, sparrow, and nick all have their ears pierced but sparrows holes closed up and he didn't wanna relive the traumatic experience of re-piercing them, while larks have gotten infected so many times he just stopped trying.
Terry dresses like a substitute teacher literally every day of this fucking life.
Sparrow is almost always wearing a bathrobe or a comfy cardigan. He dresses like a mixture of a female therapist and a deranged housewife.
Lark dresses like he's in the walking dead
Nick has a frankly absurd amount of Christmas sweaters and it's VERY obvious which ones are from Glenn.
Grant has curly hair.
both lark and sparrow need glasses. sparrow wears his when he needs them, but Lark never wears them because they make him look like henry.
terry jr also wears glasses and started wearing rons after he died.
scary was born with blonde hair, but it's gotten darker as she got older. right now, it's a light brown/sandy blonde. when her mom and terry Jr. got engaged, he tried to bond with scary by pointing out that their hair was almost the same color. she dyed it black the next day.
on the topic of hair dye, taylor tried to dye his hair electric blue when he was in middle school and had to buzz it all off cause he destroyed it with bleach. he cried for 2 weeks.
both scary and taylor regularly paint their nails. normal TRIES to paint his nails but then gets annoyed that now they taste gross and ends up picking off all the nail polish before its even finished drying
btw normals nails are so fucked up. just absolutely destroyed. theyre so bad. he has never cut them hes only ever bitten them off.
on the other hand Lincolns nails are really well kept. he pushes back his cuticles and everything.
the only non-sportswear type clothing that lincoln owns are garfield t-shirts. he has alot of them
Scary is taller than Taylor, but only when she's wearing her combat boots, which add like 2 inches to her height.
Lincoln is only taller than Terry jr by an inch (and 6 feet lmaooo)

Lark and sparrow both have a dimple on one of their cheeks but it's the opposite side of the others.

Taylor only has horns when he's using magic or really angry and they're very small. When he saw them for the first time he got pissed cause they're nothing like his trollsonas.

Scary stole one of Terry jr cardigans, dyed it back, and ripped it up to make it goth cause she THOUGHT it would piss him off. But it backfired, and terry started wearing it around the house to be supportive.
Scary also secretly stole one of Terry Jr's old band t-shirts for herself cause she thought it was cool. Terry knows she has it but will not say a goddamn word cause he thinks it's so sweet.
Grant has a picture of baby Lincolns face on a t-shirt next to the titanic that says "I survived the titanic and all I got was this stupid baby" given to him by nick that he has never worn because it's mean but it's collecting dust in a closet somewhere in the house. Lincoln found it once but didn't understand it cause he never saw the titanic, so he just didn't say anything.

hair dye dead poets hcs
neil - bleached, but only a little bit, making it look like he spends 24 hours out in the sun, kind of like when black cats "rust"
todd - bleached and dyed a light blue that fades to a greenish hue over time.
knox - hes too scared bc he bleached a streak in his hair once, but he left the bleach in for too long and it melted and he had to cut it super short
charlie - a vibrant, bright red or burgundy — red, either way. his roots have grown out a bit too long because he likes having two-toned hair
meeks - i like the idea of him bleaching his hair blonde or maybe getting a black + bleached eyebrows dye combo
pitts - long buzz cut and some kind of dye pattern. hearts, smiley faces, tiger print, a whole rainbow, maybee? or just obnoxiously vibrant dark blue
cameron - help me out here? i don't think he would dye his hair. maybe he once dyed his hair a mousy brown color with a temporary dye because of ginger jokes, but he hated it. even charlie said he looked better as a redhead

taeyoung headcannons
i've recently been a bit obsessed with tae so i figured why not share some stuff with the class!
a whole bunch of bullet points below the cut...
a comfy clothes advocate. its not comfy? its not fashion. hoodies, big jackets, baggy overshirts; you name it, he wears it
speaking of, he lives in corduroy trousers. honestly, why be uncomfortable these days? he’s already got so much work to do
he also never wears black. he feels too edgy and out of place when he wears it. plus, that was t’s thing when they were thirteen
tae absolutely adores animals. yes, we know this. but you must understand: he LOVES them. he picks up stray birds, chases after foxes, talks to squirrels. growing up with a dog really brings something out in you
his favourite animals are bats though, closely followed by dogs. something about baby bats just gets to him
despite the whole 4town shabang, tae’s still an introvert. he doesn’t really like being the centre of attention, and it took almost their entire first tour to be somewhat okay on stage. why do you think he doesn’t have a single solo line in any of their songs?
he’s very upfront though. if someone’s out of line for whatever reason he won’t hesitate to present his thoughts. it’s not in a harsh way or anything, but he automatically announces a differing opinion, even if it’s just that someone thinks that minecraft is bad
yeah that’s right, he’s a gamer. he wouldn’t call himself good at video games but he grew up with a ds… and he plays a lot with z and jesse
tae bleaches his hair. yep. you heard me. that blonde is not his natural hair colour… kind of
tae’s hair is naturally brown with an assortment of random blonde strands. out of the band, aaron t is the only one to have seen this in person since tae’s been dyeing it since he was fourteen. t loved how it looked back then, but tae despised it, hence the bleaching (fanart coming soon i got you)
during that fourteen-year-old era, tae also dyed his tips bright pink… and he wants to die his hair green or blue one day
this man was a straight A student, like, he cried when he got a B in maths once and t got an A*
(using an english school system) tae took history, geography, german and psychology (and of course english, maths and sciences) in high school. english was by far his favourite subject, and he reflects his love for language through writing a lot of 4town’s lyrics

The thought of Claire being unable to dye that streak of white hair back to blue or even just her natural brown has been stuck in my head lately. Like, it probably stays white for Character Design™️ reasons, but what if she physically could not dye it back.
Elaborating on this headcanon: using shadow magic improperly just drains everything out of your body. It starts with your hair, then weakening muscles, and eventually your entire physical body is simply a shadow of your former self. Like a painting painted white, your soul is still there underneath that husk, but people can't recognize you. And eventually, (should you continue down this path) your soul simply departs this husk and goes to the shadow realm.
Softer things to balance this sandwich, everyone in the Arcadia Gang gets a streak of hair bleached/dyed white. Maybe they do something more, like Douxie going for white under the black so he can keep his blue tips, or Jim trying out matching bangs (which he eventually reduces to a streak). I'm even throwing in Mary in here who would totally go for all sorts of white streaks. For the trolls, since I imagine their "hair" is less like human hair and more like natural materials, they get some of their markings painting white. Krel and Aja go for white streaks in their human transductions, but in their true forms, they wear white rings. Just some thoughts.

not the healthiest it’s ever been since she had dyed her hair in the past but it was pretty close!

stays lovedddd the red. she was easy to spot at events and often had other fandoms asking “who’s the girl with the red hair?”

tried really hard to hide her new color and did a great job until the few days before the album release when she posted a photo that had one (1) stray hair on her shirt

somehow had really healthy hair this era? luscious and long and beautiful even after the red

juyeon’s favorite dye so far; the ombré
miroh also had a natural hair kinda vibe minus jeongin so juyeon got to have best of both worlds - natural color and dyed
she also got to style it really curly most of the time which was a huge plus
played a huge part of why she gained a lot of her popularity during miroh era
clé 2: yellow wood, double knot, & clé: levanter
no dye for these comebacks :(
for side effects juyeon dyed over the remnants of the ombré with a dark brown to fade into her natural color.
by double knot her hair was fully back to black. styling was usually lazy curls if not straightened.
levanter era came around and juyeon said she was getting antsy to dye her hair again. at the time she mentioned blue, pink, or another round of red. however, she actually didn’t do any of these colors next.

after having her natural hair for the past few comebacks juyeon was so excited to be a blondie!!
stays were wondering what she’d do after the blonde as it became more brassy color by the end of this era, which is how stays were literally fed by the back door comeback

blueyeon? are we kidding?
started out as a really vibrant royal blue color but as it started lightening it became more of a teal.
juyeon held on to this blue hair for as long as she could until you could almost see the bleach underneath :( she loved the blue
almost as iconic as her red hair era but just not quite there. yet you can still find blueyeon stans talking about her impact to this day
no easy & oddinary
and would you believe it or not, she went back to black.
somewhat healthy? certainly a little fried from the blonde but it was not falling out so that was a win.
she actually went back to black immediately before they went on kingdom, which is when she found out that most people agreed she had a whole different vibe with black hair.

after years of stay begging for short hair juyeon, not only did she deliver but she served.
lots of buns off-stage in this era. something about short hair made her wanna put it up more.
it was black for 90% of this era and then one day it was brown?? cute either way!
her comment sections in this era was actually ridiculous and honestly a little cringe but stay were serious about showing their love for the bob
5 star & rock star
during 5 star her hair was a more chocolate-y color from the tail end of maxident era before she went back to black again for rock star (are we seeing the pattern here?)
while juyeon did like the short hair it was certainly just a comeback style for her and she secretly decided to start growing her hair back out the day after she cut it
during the gap between maxident and 5 star (october 2022 - june 2023) she let the bob do its thing until it hit her shoulders and then she started wearing extensions
juyeon’s hair also grows like a weed so the divide between the extensions and her natural long hair is hard to find
now in rock star era it seems that her hair is completely grown out to her usual natural color and length

so if I remember correctly, we’ve established that in this au, Tighnari dyes the green bits in his hair, buuuuuut I’m bored so more detail! Do you reckon he dyes it himself or does he get it done professionally? Does Cyno do it? How often does he get it done? Also I’d assume Cyno’s hair is bleached, so the same questions apply to him. I like to think they do their hair together as a fun hangout every month or two, but idk. I love dying my hair and doing fun stuff with it, so this kind of thing is just on my mind a lot lol.

This whole concept broke my brain a little, I think I've thought about it a little too much by now XD
Honestly I never thought too deeply about it - when I mentioned Tighnari's green streaks, I kind of on the spot decided they had to be dyed, since he's obviously just a regular human in this au with no fluffy green tail or fox ears. And I can definitely picture Tighnari naturally just having plain black hair!
...but the thought of Cyno with any other hair colour than white? Suddenly it doesn't feel like Cyno anymore! XD I know his hair colour is not realistically very natural, but my brain short-circuits thinking of it being dyed, and him actually having another natural hair colour.
To answer your question about Nari though, I personally imagine he'd get it done professionally! In this au so far he's been shown to be very on top of his hair care, and would probably worry too much about damaging his hair by doing it himself.
The thought of him having had other colours is certainly interesting... I can especially picture him with blue, maybe even dark purple? 👀
Gorou's I feel like is just natural streaks in his hair. Realistic, probably not (let me have this), but I just think it's such a cute thought that he has some natural light streaks in his hair. I feel like it's something that he might've been self conscious about at some point in his life and that makes me sad and I want to hug him.
Kazuha could go either way! It could be natural or it could (probably more realistically but who really cares) be dyed!
Aether for some reason I'm picturing was the kind who, as soon as he was old enough to have a say, went "NO SCISSORS NEAR MY HAIR" and refused to ever cut it. He was tiny the last time it was ever short.

These are all a little old (from jan-march) but save for giblets I feel like I’ve got everyone pinned down nicely. Notes under the cut!! Don’t repost, feel free to tell me what you think 💕
1-2: Krubis. I hope you see my vision here. Mostly just trying to figure out if I like this hair texture for him or if I go curlier. I’m set for his work outfit though and I like the idea of him wearing glasses or shades 24/7. But yknow. I think this captures his essence. This is the sort of person he is in my eyes.
The second doodle is kind of rushed but I think in a human au maybe he’d forgo a prosthetic in most circumstances. Hell I think if he can remove the drill at all in canon then he does so when it comes to paperwork and shit. I think he was born without the arm so hes learnt to get by without any sort of prosthetic. I need to do more research into the matter though
3: Douglas. The shorter cut is more in character but I do like the (VERY SPLATOON INSPIRED BTW) braid idea. I think he’s on the younger side alongside the Skrendels? But also he’s very baby faced I think. To mirror the whole “actually Douglas was the silly blue goober the whole time” thing
4: Dr. Giblets. As I said before this sketch is a bit old but I did touch it up. A bit too lanky his face needs to be rounder. I think he’s the oldest of the officers maybe older than Garm. Probably? Not by much. Also 5 Torg in the corner but I didn’t like how she came out so she’ll be in the next batch of whatever 💔💔💔
5: Angela + Jonathan in armor bc for a human/more anthro au I think they’d all have these helmets that mirror the one big eye(and headcanons for what happens when they argue: Angela mediates between Jonathan and Mona, Jonathan does the same when Angela argues with Mona, and Mona just straight up leaves the two to beat the shit out of each other then tearfully apologize .). Also nipulon weezer blue.
6: Garmantuous. Idk if he should be bald or not. Also like 40? Could be a bit older maybe even younger… extra eyes HAVE TO be plugs though I have decided on this. I feel smart for this.
7: more Mona ^_^ more developed sketch of the same hc that he just dips if the other two ever argue + fem presenting alt design + probably what went through his head by the time the BH took out his other brothers during the fight. Also his hair would be bleached blonde 👍🏼 but all the Skrendels have very dark hair naturally.
(On that note: as mentioned before Krubis’s hair is all grey now to mirror the drill. Douglas not sure probably brown or strawberry blond/gingery but dyed blue. Giblets. Uh. Idk it’s pink ish but that way naturally somehow and greying obviously. Garm also blonde but probably bleached? And like I said Skrendels all have black or brown hair but Mona bleached his and Jonathan dyes his hair every now and then
