so i know your au focuses on bandee, but i was thinking of doing this for morpho magolor so i want your input

do you think it would be possible for morpho magolor to obtain a traitor form one way or another? i sketched a concept but i don;t know where it would fit

responding to these (i got your other messages too), and while i don't mind you asking my input, i will say you absolutely don't have to ask me or anything! especially because it can take me some time to reply!

chrysalis au is very specifically about the scenario wherein morpho possesses bandee in its attempts to get to kirby. that's about the beginning and end of the plot of it on my end! morpho 'possession' designs or plotlines as a whole are not something i have universal decree over, and there are plenty of other really cool ones out there!

also, for what it's worth i did eventually find that really banger morpho magolor design i'd mentioned seeing before, and it was by @deafeninggardenerpanda here and also here. i could not possibly design anything that slaps harder than this one does. the shape language. the colours. the fkn... the tails on the cloak. the style of the hood. the single antenna. delicious.

anyway. the fact that chrysalis au focuses on bandee because he is My favourite little guy (or at least tied for it, with magolor) is kind of the point! you can make your own aus about your own morpho magolor headcanons that have nothing to do with mine and aren't beholden to my ideas in any way!

if you're simply curious about what i would creatively do with magolor in this sort of situation wrt traitor magolor in particular, i don't see any reason why morpho couldn't obtain the traitor form. i'd probably go with either...

1: it simply arrives later and possesses traitor magolor. traitor magolor, and perhaps especially soul magolor, is arguably only passably alive in the first place, so i think the butterfly wouldn't have any difficulties with reaping him. he'd presumably also already be fighting kirby, so if morpho's goal is to battle kirby, easy segue. 2: it puppets the already possessed morpho magolor towards the crown and makes him put it on his head without permission. imo there's a high chance that morpho knows exactly what would happen, far more than magolor ever did, so it would likely engineer the circumstance to obtain the increase in power from the crown.

while i don't think the crown poses a risk to morpho itself, i'm not sure if it would particularly enjoy battling the master crown for control of the body it's possessing. the power hike would have to be well worth the effort. i suppose worst case scenario (for morpho at least) is that it would just ditch whatever was left of traitor/soul magolor, and go on to the next body.

I don't know if you know Pokemon, but there's this popular comic about Larry getting isekai-ed to the Pokemon world from our world and he's like "aight so I immediately went ok and went to get a job and pay pokemon taxes" and that's how I see Macky. makes sense how he's so full of rage and evil when his last memory might have been a brutal death and centuries in the diyuu. but still, you'd think he'd be a smidge more crazy sometimes, what up with the fake heroism and charisma and "yeah im just gonna ignore that kid that just fell off trying to climb up here" face until MK teleported in front of him???? but alas, he do be an actor. also cracks me up how they make him go "haha! you unloaded all your secret insecurities on me! but hey, no shame in that, its good to talk about your feelings, I don't really do it...maybe I should, buuuut we'd be here all day so >:)" like not only is that a hilarious call out about villains having trauma trope, but the 'maybe I should' and that there's so much of it, like blub u good 😭 am I watching a crack video. but how he laughs at the start there like you think accidental therapy monkey status is a big "gotcha" moment?? clown behavior. funniest thing to evil laugh about he looks manic and insane about it, what if I toss him out the window affectionately.

oh oh was it along the lines of explaining that the human body tends to melt and not burn and that it would be more painful to die suffocated by the smoke or steamed alive, because after a while fire would burn the nerves while steam wouldn't?

But omf yeah cause like I've talked abt them w my friend Altair yeah, and at first I thought that oh, maybe there's resentment there y'know, cause yeah Drayton had to redo his second year a buncha times and y'know since Iris is a prodigy maybe he'd have some sort of resentment that she's doing better than him

But like, looking at it now, idt that's the case?? Ofc unless they finally reveal to us their dynamic hahaha

Tho now for me, I think their dynamic would be similar to Sans and Papyrus undertale lmfaooo look as much as I don't like Sans and Paps much, Drayton and Iris do give off the vibes. Like Drayton is pretty chill, pretty lazy, I wanna say he's so supportive of Iris. Like imagine tho the first time Drayden took Iris in, Drayton got so excited that immediately he treats her like a sister, teaching her everything he knows abt pokemon, and they bonded over their own dragon pkmn. Iris was least so amazed by his Duraludon, she swears she and her Axew will be as strong as him one day

And yeah idk ig it would be cute if like,, Iris really looks up to him, cause while he's lazy, he's strong, and now she's at his level. But to him, she had always been the stronger one, she was just held back by the comments made abt her that she ended up thinking she's not capable. Also, imagine him being like Sans undertale, he's all protective threatening anyone who messes w Iris hahah

And just,,, ough imagine tho, like, if we go w Nate/Rose really beating Iris and being the new Champion, Drayton was there for her, saying "well, guess we're both ex Champions now" laughing as he pats her back, trying to make her feel better and ough your honour pls chxknx

But also yeah despite all the soft, they would annoy the hell outta each other lmfao no I'm not taking criticism, they're siblings, if they can't piss off the other for a day they'd combust, I know for a fact they'd try to embarrass each other when either friend groups are around hahaha but also, imagine them just like, absolutely fucking up the twins tho, cause on our prev concepts the twins are like messing w Iris and her stuff when she's not around, imagine her and Drayton doing the same to Hilda and Hilbert but tenfold hahaha

an interview with darragh cowley (portraying lt. glenn graham), who talks for some time (starting at 34:54) about the his experience working on MotA, including his audition ("the biggest audition of my life"), the boot camp, and his experience working with the other guys. interesting points include:

-the boot camp lasted two weeks, but it was during the height of covid19, "so they couldn't facilitate quite as a in-depth camp", so it was more like spending two weeks in a classroom ("the whole two weeks, we were those boys"). they practiced drills, marching, and exercising, "but we didn't have to camp or sort of, you know, be horrified or traumatized, if you will, like they did on "saving private ryan". no, you know, we weren't sleep deprived or we weren't, you know, made to survive on rations at all! it was relatively cushty."

-"i made a bit of a scene at the boot camp on the last day. i'd organized, uh, some beers for the military advisors and i'd [done] a little speech at the end for all the men, because we, you know, we did the whole thing in uniform–in costume, in character. the whole two weeks, you know, we were those boys…particularly by the end a bit, like, they were really encouraging us to live in our roles. so i made a bit of a scene, and made a big speech, presenting to captain dye, which will possibly be the best thing i've ever done in my life… and i think the director of the first four episodes (cary fukunaga), i think he liked that, and i think he picked me out for that".

-says he was of many other actors who were "basically told to improvise for a lot" and were initially given three weeks to film, but weren't necessarily told when those three weeks would start: "and then it would extend". cowley, tho, ended up on the job for nine months ("which was from start to finish"), finishing twelve days before the rest

-recounts how he was "really involved with all the boys" and made it a point to go out and meet everyone else during boot camp bc, despite being nervous, he wanted to be the friendly face for others that he would've wanted himself

-he'd "find out what squadron [each new boy was] in, and find their squadron, and introduce, you know, each lad to five, six, seven of the lads in their squadron"

-such actions earned him the reputation as the guy who "knew everyone's names"

-was quite candid throughout about how nervous he was about doing his portrayal justice, as well as his inner struggles as a working actor
