today in history we were learning about puritans and my teacher went on a tangent about how burning at the stake actually worked and the entire time i was like "viktor would love this so much" despite the fact that i dont actually know you

oh oh was it along the lines of explaining that the human body tends to melt and not burn and that it would be more painful to die suffocated by the smoke or steamed alive, because after a while fire would burn the nerves while steam wouldn't?
