Fic idea for anyone who wants it:

Reader has a chronic illness and is sick of doctors writing off her symptoms as anxiety, dehydration, etc.

Friend of reader mentions she started seeing results when her retired linebacker husband came to the appointments because doctors take female patients pain more seriously when big scary men are present.

Reader hires Frank to pretend to be her husband and it works. Hijinks ensue and they fall in love.

I’d write it, but my own chronic illness is making writing not a possibility right now.

"Have you got any bright ideas?" she questions.

"I'm thinking, I'm thinking..." he's rambling, the eyes focused on the crowd circling them.

"You better think of something fast, because if he turns me into a mummy, you're the first one I'm coming after." Karen declared with her voice trembling, she turned her head to look at Frank for what it could be her last time ever looking at him.

Karen Page, a librarian and aspiring Egyptologist, and Foggy Nelson, her best friend and an excellent lawyer, usually have drinks together in one of the best — according to Foggy himself — bars in town: Josie's Place. On a friday night, the two friends found themselves in the middle of a bar fight and after hiding behind one the tables, Karen is quick to realize an intricate box fell from the pocket of one of the fighters and takes it for herself before even thinking twice.

She only got a glimpse of his face, yet she remembers him too well.

When she finds the map of Hamunaptra inside the box, Karen convinces Foggy to go along with her to find the mysterious man. They find ex-military Frank Castle in a local prison and Karen makes a deal with him to lead them to the City of the Dead if she gets him released, he agrees.

It wasn't in Frank's plan go back to Hamunaptra, although a certain blonde Egyptologist makes it hard to not go back to the place he once served alongside The French Foreign Legion. So when Karen accidentally wakes up a 3000 year old mummy who begins to wreak havoc in searching for the reincarnation of his long-lost love, Frank's got no other choice than to stop the terror and save Karen in the process.

Husband: I’m sticking with Marc for this one. I just think he’d be the perfect husband (once he gets past the pushing the people he loves away trope).

Best Friend: I’ve actually thought about this a lot. And I have to pick Matt. Honestly, I don’t think his lifestyle lends him to romantic relationships (at least ones that aren’t going to end bloody or with one person stuck in an unhappy ending). + He’s a really great friend, to Foggy, to Karen- & I think we’d do really well as friends. I love his personality.

One Night Stand: So I feel a bit bad about this one, because I really like Frank. But there’s something about him that makes him a bit too unhinged (unstable?), even for me. I don’t think he could ever truly “settle down” after what happened to him, so I think he’d be better for a short term fling or friends with benefits- Despite wanting to show him the love, he’s most certainly missing.

he'll run you a nice hot bubble bath and light some candles if you had a stressful day

anything you pick up in the store and put back, he secretly sneaks into the cart

he listens to you vent, bc frank is a very good listener, and offers advice when he can

he surprises you with lunch dates, sends flowers to your job just to let you know he was thinking about you, calls you even if he's only going to be 5 minutes late coming home

he's very protective of you when you're out in public and doesn't let you out of his sight or let anyone get too close for comfort

frank doesn't talk a whole lot, but when he speaks, it's from the heart

he doesn't do grand outrageous gestures to show you he loves you but it is obvious in all the little things he does bc I genuinely believe his love language is acts of service and physical touch

he's SO proud to be your husband like anytime you introduce him to anyone or mention "my husband this" or "my husband that" he's got the biggest grin on his face

to say he would die for you is such a huge understatement, francis david castiglione would wage war on god herself for you

bottom line is husband!frank is a huge sap and even if he acts grumpy that you want to paint the kitchen pink or your car broke down bc you forgot to tell him you needed your oil changed (it happens to the best of us) he is so madly in love with you that you could do no wrong in his eyes
