They dream YOU cheated on them
I thought it was funny idk im just a silly little girl writing my silly little fantasies from my silly little mind (if i don’t they haunt me) using this silly little characters. TW it may be considered hurt to comfort kinda stuff idk how to genre this pls help ---------
Mammon is startled awake. A painful throbbing in his chest, ragged breathing and pale faced. In short, he’s a mess. If you were awake you would be extremely concerned for his well-being, but you aren’t. You’re peacefully asleep, curled next to him, hands still laced together as you try to steal all the warmth in his back, glued like a cat. He’s still wide-eyed and the image from his nightmare keeps appearing over and over, tormenting him. If he weren’t already living in literal hell he would’ve thought he fell somehow deeper and his soul was being tortured. It hurt, it hurt and it didn’t even happen and he couldn't help the way his eyes got wet because he didn’t even notice he was crying. He actually had to separate himself from you and as you notice his body missing from your arms, you jolt awake. You just heard a sob, didn’t you? As you rush to hold his face and asking what’s wrong over and over he can’t even bring himself to tell you, it’s stupid and dumb but it hurt him so, so much, MC. Hold him tightly, don’t let go as you rub circles into his skin and tell him over and over how much you love him, you adore him and he is your one and only, the most perfect first-man and the demon you want to spend all eternity with. Keep whispering sweet nothings until he falls back asleep in your arms.
Feeling cold was highly unusual for you, especially since Belphegor was a rather warm demon. Besides being cold, waking not being in a mess of limbs was even weirder. Never spoken, it was a silent agreement that your dear demon was rather clingy. Clinginess disguised as trying to use you as a pillow, of course. Thing is, at this point in your relationship, separating Belphie from your body was easier said than done, the brothers risked tearing you apart before detaching him from you. So, you already feel a weird vibe when the first thing you see as you open your eyes is his back. Weird. Weird. Weird. Maybe he’s playing hard to get? As you try to snake your hands around his waist he actually lightly smacks you and pulls away. Huh? How dare he get you so used to his body and now depriving you from it! As you raise and let yourself on top of him you ignore his hissing and whatever, he won’t do anything to you. He would never, ever again. Noticing you won’t move he stops fighting it but still won’t move, and now you’re uncomfortable in an awkward position, you didn’t think this through, as always. You move to stare him right in the eyes and ask what’s wrong. You have to pry multiple times until he finally murmurs his newest nightmare, you almost want to laugh until you notice how serious your baby is. He mumbles about how it makes sense, he’s hurt you before and therefore could never trust him completely, he understands that and yet… And you shut him up with a tender kiss right in his cheek. Silly, silly boy. Rubbing your noses together you chuckled as his arms pressed you tight against his chest while he sobbed. Needless to say both of your eyes were puffy and Asmo was horrified, but you were happy.
Satan is pissed. But he doesn’t even know why. All he knows is from the moment he opened his eyes he was ready to punch the throat of whoever came into sight. None of his brothers dared approach him as his threatening aura was more than enough to keep even the measly entities roaming the Devildom away. The only one who had the audacity to approach such fearsome devil was you, as usual. This time, however, something weird happened. He tends to feel better, warmer and happier when you’re by his side and while he felt better than he did minutes ago he still somehow feels angry, a kind of rage boiling in the pit of his stomach was brewing and he wasn’t sure why, and that was enraging him more. Why couldn’t he be more than his sin?! He thought he was getting better but all he feels now is anger and he thought he had already gotten over that phase with your help and… and… And now he’s a little numb. It wasn’t until Solomon offered to hypnotize him, to find the root of the problem as he was too exasperated being angry at the air, that he found out what was wrong. It was a motherfucking dream he did not even remember at this point, boy did he want to punch the air again. But he didn’t, he talked to you about the dream and after soft caresses and petting a bunch of stray kittens he actually felt lighter than ever. His mood had changed so drastically some students thought an apocalypse was coming and a mess almost happened in the Devildom, but hey, your man is in a tender mood feeling reassured and cared for.
You were a pigeon in your dreams, flying happily around the air minding your bird business when you hit a window. But that window felt too feathery-like, and the falling felt all too real. It made sense when you woke up, abruptly, on the floor with a feather in your mouth. Huh. Lucifer was wide eyed, completely startled, staring at you from the higher ground (aka the bed) in his demon form. You can’t even be mad, you don’t even know what to feel. What kind of weird room-com movie was this scene from? Feels like a low budget experimental one. It takes Lucifer a minute to compose himself and get out of bed to aid you. His hands feel strangely tense when helping you up and he’s trying not to look at you. Lu–, MC you have to take the feather out of your mouth, Lucifer what the fuck was that. When he claims it was nothing you don’t believe him but also don’t feel like scrutinizing. And you didn’t, until his body became stiff when you tried to cuddle him. Now, mister man, what’s wrong? Like the stubborn prideful buffoon he is, you have to blackmail the answer out of his lips, and he admits, rather shamefully, that it was a dream that caused all that. You stare at him, and he stares at you, and you stare at each other. Yes, a buffoon indeed. Smacking his chest lightly as you roll over and go back to sleep you roll your eyes, you’ll make fun of him in the morning.

cw: implied sexual trauma, panic attack, intimacy struggles
You don’t notice it happening until it’s buzzing under your skin. Loud and unavoidable, the only thing you can pay attention to is the irregular flutter of your heart and the way it seems that all the air has been vacuumed from the room—
“Hey.”
You blink, and Katsuki is no longer above you. He’s not touching you at all—you turn your head to find him next to you, propped up on an elbow and only worried.
“Too much?”
The panic flares at the question, because what if this is the last time? What if he’s tired of this?
Your exhale is shaky—your laugh is forced and sounds out of place. “No, it was fine, I just—“
“Oi—“ he says, gently, “tell me the truth.”
The truth burns your eyes and keeps them on the ceiling, away from his. You nod, helpless and resigned to whatever comes next.
“What’s goin’ on in your head?”
You feel the tears spill over before you can catch them. You swipe them away with the back of your wrist. It’s still numb. “I’m just sorry. I didn’t mean to ruin it.”
He grunts a little in acknowledgment—a displeased, ugly sound—and then there’s movement that finally draws your eyes to him. You watch him cover himself with your duvet—all the way up to his chin.
“S’it okay if I hold you?”
He reaches for you and you let him pull you in. His hands stay above your shoulders and pointedly avoid your neck—cradling your head, letting you hide in the curve of his throat. His pulse is steady and constant against your forehead—or you imagine it would be, if it wasn’t muted by the fabric.
“Nothin’ is ruined,” he murmurs against your hairline, “s’my job to keep you safe.”
Your chest shudders against the cushion of the blanket and you feel a little guilty about crying all over it but Katsuki keeps you there, tethered to him. The ringing in your ears subsides, just a little. Just enough to hear the panic in your own voice.
“I promise I want it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I’m sorry—“
“Hey, hey,” he shushes you, careful not to tighten his arms around your shoulders. “Nothin’ to be sorry for. S’too much today—that’s all.”
It’s quiet, then, save for your sniffling. He keeps his mouth pressed to your hair, and his arms wrapped around you. There is a noticeable absence of his fingertips tracing along your skin—you don’t feel them there at all, and it’s on purpose. He’s considerate and it makes you anxious.
“Can hear you thinkin’.”
“I just—“ you inhale, trying to be brave, “I don’t want you to leave. I know I can’t—give you this—“
“Oi,” he gruffs, a little sharply, “I don’t give a shit about that. M’not a barbarian.”
You feel the expansion of his lungs as he draws in a slow exhale, and lets it out against the crown of your head. “Don’t think so little of me,” he murmurs, tone laced with hurt.
“You’re right,” you whisper, because he is, “I love you.”
“Love you.” He kisses it into your skin, soft and barely there. “Always will.”

to cockwarm könig's huge dick would be a dream .. 💭
of course, it'll hurt at first. but after a while, you're familiar and used to the feeling of his big cock stretching you out. you're a mess when he moves slightly because any movement stretches you out more than what you're ready for :(
just want to fall asleep sitting on his cock... is that so much to ask for? ;3 🩷

There are genuinely people online that instead of actually bringing people to the left, at this point, would prefer that anyone who was previously not on the left but who tries to be *stays* outside of the left, because i guess its just easier to comprehend when the world is put into little shitty boxes you labeled for them instead of actually thinking for once and having the nuance to understand them. Like thats wild to me that theres people who would prefer you not be on the left or not try to be. Yall GENUINELY do not care about advocating for your side politically in any capacity. Its LITERALLY just a clique you've found yourself in. And theres nothing progressive about that or being exclusive, wtf do you think this shit is, a night club? Grow the fuck up, honestly.

fighting it is hopeless (sinking in your ocean)
| alessia russo x reader
~~~
“It’s weird to think that you could leave at any time and I’d have no control…”
Your voice broke the comfortable silence that gently wrapped your living room, the weight of the words evoking a nearly-tangible rattle in the air.
You were sprawled out on the couch with an earbud barely in, eyes not leaving the ceiling, holding your breath wondering whether you should continue or not.
It was when you just barely heard the soft padding of footsteps, no doubt coming from the blonde you called yours, that you closed your eyes, heart wrenching thought of your vulnerability.
Swallowing hard, scarcely managing to keep the growing lump in your throat at bay, you continued.
“Like I get that love can’t exist if I have control over all your actions and emotions ‘cause obviously that’s not how humans work…but still...”
Your words trailed off just as you felt the seat near your legs sink with the weight of the your girlfriend.
The gentle hand that came to rest on your thigh had you opening your eyes, head rigid however, too afraid that the slightest eye-contact with the other girl would result in her seeing your soul, the windows of your eyes an easy read for the striker.
Bringing a shaky hand up to grab the front collar of your her t-shirt that you were wearing and bringing it to your mouth, you bit down on the fabric, the tremor in your voice something you could already feel.
Continuing, your voice came out muffled.
“It’s weird you know? Like yeah we were friends and all before we started dating but since that first date you kind of just took me out of my world and put me in your orbit. You shot me into outer space, had me sucked a bye away yet so near to you and I haven’t been more glad yet more scared.”
You knew you were rambling now, the feelings you had tried so hard to bury for the past few months, the insecurities you’d never shared, all tumbling out, and you could only be a bystander, almost watching from afar as your mouth and heart betrayed your brain.
“I’d be lying if I said it didn’t terrify me. I feel like I’m sinking and flying at the same time, and I don’t know what to make of it…”
Words trailing off, restless silence enveloping you, you tensed your shoulders embarrassed at how open you were being, laying yourself bare without a thought.
The stillness in the air since your last uttered sentence was deafening, the silent roar sending a chill up your spine.
Running a hand over your face, your fingers rubbed into your eyelids before coming to pinch the bridge of your nose. Mind now racing, innumerable thoughts firing in the small space of your head, you cursed silently at yourself, wishing you’d never said anything.
And when nearly a few minutes had passed, only the blood rushing in your ears to be heard, you decided that maybe you were an idiot after all, swearing at the old you that thought this would be a good idea.
Moving to get up, gently tossing your phone and earbuds onto the other seat nearby, you barely made it onto your elbows, body in a half crunch position before a voice that wasn’t yours finally joined the conversation.
“Hey, let me in…I care, I promise. I really do.” Alessia’s gentle but nervous voice filtered through your thoughts, the love pushing aside your insecurities and creating a clear path to your troubled mind.
The quietness of the plead had you listening, your arms straightening out as you gently fell onto your back, bouncing against the soft cushion before resting on it.
You inhaled a deep breath, holding it for three seconds just like your therapist told you to do whenever you felt anxious, before letting out a deep sigh and forcing yourself to relax your shoulders.
“I want to trust you- trust us, this relationship but sometimes it feels so hard…It’s worse because it’s not ‘cause of you but my mind is idiotic sometimes y’know?”
Alessia hummed in acknowledgement, not sure how to respond but desperately wanting to be there for you.
Silence enveloping the room once more, you felt the couch shift once more, it creaking under the weight of the movement.
Before you knew it, Alessia was squished beside you, laying on her side tightly in the minimal space between you and the back of the couch.
Reaching her hand over to wrap around your waist, tugging your stiff body into her best she could, Alessia let out a breath, trying to relax, hoping it would have the domino effect on you.
With how well the blonde knew you, nearly a year of dating not lost on her, the actions had the desired effect, tension slowly but surely leaving your body as you curled into the warmth beside you.
The pair of you were so close, each rise and fall of either of your chests felt by the other, released puffs of air intermingling, you both bathing in the calmness brought by the other’s presence.
And when Alessia began to speak, voice so soft, lips fluttering against the crown of your head, you swear she could cushion the most delicate of glassware.
“Whatever’s going on inside your head, I want you to know that I want you. For as long as you’ll have me, through the highs and the lows, I’m here to stay. I can’t even fathom the idea of leaving you if I’m honest.”
Pressing a gentle kiss onto your hairline, Alessia paused for a slight second, lips lingering before she continued.
“I know me saying it once won’t do much so I’ll remind you as many times as I can for as long as I can, but know that with all of the trophies, cups, league titles and any other awards in this world, I wouldn’t mind not having a single one as long as I have you.”
Letting out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, you keenly listened to the murmur of words, relief washing over you, chest loosening.
Turning in Alessia’s hold, you faced the blonde, not meeting her eyes but instead burrowing your face into the crook of her neck.
“I’m sorry…” Your voice came out muffled, the sheepish tone apparent.
“Love...don’t be. We’ll get through this together. You just keep communicating to me like you are, yeah?” Nodding into Alessia’s shoulder, you felt your eyes dampen, the blonde’s understanding and care overwhelming you in the best way possible.
Tucking your head further into her neck, you wrapped your arm around the striker, letting her love wash over you, a few tears falling as your heart bursted with love.
And as Alessia pulled you impossibly closer, you both let the evening pass, yellow hues turning red, and then purple, basking in each other’s embrace.
Allowing your love speak for itself, arms tightly wound around one other, you let yourself sink into the comfort of the embrace, aware that fighting it was hopeless.
Sucked up in the waves of her love, shot into outer space, you knew you were stranded but not alone, bound to fall deeper each day for the girl you loved, no insecurities of yours able to prevent your love from growing.
If you have an f/o that loses many people close to them, imagine them allowing themselves to grieve in front of you. To be held in your arms as their shoulders shake with the force or their crying because they need to let it out or it'll consume them from the inside out. They can be vulnerable with you, they can fall apart with you, knowing you'll help them pick the pieces back up.
The glass in her hand shatters on impact, shards flying everywhere.
“Shiv!” you exclaim, one of the pieces of glass lodged in her palm.
“Fuck, fuck! I didn’t mean to, I swear,” she cries back, lunging for a paper towel.
“Are you alright? Your hands are all shaky,” you murmur, taking the roll from her, dropping it on the counter, and taking her hand instead. You carefully step around the mess, Shiv following. You pad into the kitchen, still delicately gripping her hand, and root around in the medicine cabinet until you find gauze and cleaning alcohol.
“Just stressed,” she mumbles, gripping her wrist with her other hand.
You hum disapprovingly, gently prying out the shard of glass and flicking it into the garbage. Quickly, before the blood can trickle out her palm, you wipe at the cut with a cotton pad soaked in the alcohol. After you clean it, and it’s wrapped, you look up at her. “How stressed?”
Shiv stays quiet a moment. Even though you’d been dating for over a year now, she still had trouble opening up and letting herself be vulnerable. Chewing on her lip, she replies quietly, “Dad pulled back.”
Her hands are trembling again. You take both of hers in yours, pancaking them all together and stroking the tops of her hands gently with your thumbs. “I don’t know what that means, love. Elaborate.”
“You remember, ages ago, at that dinner. He pulled me aside, told me he wanted to name me the successor.”
You do. She’d worn a cute dress, and a necklace you’d gotten for you. After she’d come back from disappearing into her dad’s office, she was giddy and all smiles. The polar opposite of what she was now. “Not anymore?” you ask carefully.
She shakes her head, pulling her hands from yours and instead tucking her head into the crook of your neck and biting back a sob. You pull her close to you, doing your best to soothe her and whisper kind things. “I’m sorry,” is what you repeat, over and over, stroking her hair. Shiv eventually pulls away from you, her hand instead sliding down your arm to lace your fingers with hers.
“I don’t know what to do anymore,” she whispers. “I tried everything. I did everything for him. And I’m still not enough.” Despite her steady breathing and neutral expression, tears are welling in her eyes. Her grip on your hand is also way too tight, but you say nothing and drag her to the couch. She waits for you to sit down and recline your legs so she can climb on top of you and bury her head back into your neck. Your hands flit to the small of her back, rubbing slow, soft circles.
“Shiv,” you begin, after a long pause. “Why bend over backwards for him? Your time is valuable. You’re so worthy and deserving of so many things. He just doesn’t see that, so I think it’s time you move on. Let go.” You play with her fingers. “You’re more than enough for me, you know.”
She sniffs. “But he’s my dad.”
“And you’re his daughter. People always forget that he’s responsible for your relationship with you, too. You deserve the world, not nothing.” You press a kiss to her forehead, and her grip on you tightens.
“You’re good at this,” she murmurs. “I’m sorry.” She pulls back, unintentionally straddling you.
“For what?”
“You’re so good. You’re always there for me, you always know what to say… and I’m just here.” She leans forward to plant a kiss on your lips. “Tell me what I can do for you. I want to do more.”
“Take it easy. That’s what you can do for me,” you say back, hands still sitting on her back. One of them drifts up to cup her cheek as you give her another sweet kiss. “I know it hurts. It’s probably not going to stop hurting for a bit. So just take it slow. Lots of breaks, okay? Don’t push yourself so hard.”
“You know I can’t do that.” She slumps back against you, head tucked under your chin. “I have shit to do.”
“Then just do it one bit at a time, okay? Enough of that ‘all at once’ shit. You’re stressing yourself out.”
She sighs. You know she’s probably not going to listen to you. Regardless, this was progress, the two of you talking. Her letting you know what’s on her mind. The night goes by deliciously slowly, the two of you curled up together in bed rather than the couch. You savor every second of her skin on yours, of the sounds of her soft breathing, every breath fanning across your neck and face. Shiv’s clingy now, but you’re happy about it. Despite all the pain, you were getting closer, but since you hated seeing her hurt, you were kind of conflicted about it.
You wake up to Shiv gently shaking you. “Baby. Wake up.”
You groan, not opposed to her waking you up, but a bit frazzled. “Yeah, yeah. Yeah?”
She laughs a bit, peppering kisses across your cheeks and to your lips. “We should get out of New York.”
“What? What do you mean?”
“We should pick everything up and leave. Run off to Italy or something. Forget about everything here.”
“Is this because of yesterday?”
She’s silent for a minute, pulling you into a cuddle and raking her fingers through your hair. “A little. But I’ve thought about it before, too.” Her fingers play with the soft locks sitting on your head. “I just think, since I’m so sick and tired of everything here…”
“And leave our jobs? Your family?” you question, leaning into her touch.
She scoffs. “I’m rich enough to not have to worry about money for the rest of my life. Besides, we can find jobs wherever we go. It’s a perk, having the name.”
“You have the name,” you remind her.
“And I’ll use it for your sake. I’ll get you whatever the fuck you want.” She sighs dreamily. “A job, a house on the beach, the option to never have to lift a finger again, in your life… Baby, I don't think you realize. You could ask me for Saturn and you'd wake up to its rings around your fingers.”
“Shiv, this is kind of a massive decision we’re talking about.”
“Yeah, but I don’t see why we shouldn’t. Everything’s in line. I don’t give a shit about anything here except you. Let’s run off and travel the world.”
You sigh, shifting so that you’re looking up at her. “I’ll think about it, okay?”
Her fingers trail down your jaw. “Okay.”
One day, a few weeks later, you go to visit Shiv at a cafe on her lunch break. You’re sitting in your usual booth, and she’s fiddling with a pen as she stares down at her notepad.
“Sometimes I wonder why I fucking chose politics as a career,” she mutters, jotting something down before quickly scribbling it out.
“I still think you’re pushing yourself too hard.”
“Am not.”
She’s far too absorbed in her writing for her to pay attention to you anymore. The little scab on the palm of her hand has almost completely healed, but since she’d forgone reapplying gauze or a bandage, she picks at it absentmindedly.
“Shiv, quit that. You don’t want to infect it.”
“I won’t,” she says back, distracted. She’s somehow picking with the same hand the scab’s on, jotting down her thoughts with the other. “This is important.”
She was never this unattentive with you. Ever.
“What is?”
“A pitch for Dad.”
“I thought we talked about this.”
“I’m not doing it for him,” she says unconvincingly. “It’s for… other stuff.”
“You’re usually a much better liar than this.” All she gives you is a funny look before going back to the notepad. “If you’re busy, I should just head home. I have some work to do, anyway.”
“No, no, you can stay. I don’t mind.”
“That’s not the point, Shiv. You clearly have something important.”
She glances up at you again, only briefly, before ignoring what you said and going straight back to work. Through gritted teeth, you tell her goodbye, leaning across the table to kiss her on the forehead.
She says nothing as you walk away.
You walk home, enjoying the chance to stretch your legs. You’re still turning over her proposition, although you’re not too sure if she’s still serious about it. Or if she ever was in the first place. Even if you’re cautious about it, you think it’ll be a step in the right direction for Siobhan. A step in the right direction for the both of you, taking her away from the constant unnecessary stress and pressure. Taking her away from the piece of shit that was her dad.
She texts you, curtly apologizing about lunch and telling you she’d be home in the evening.
i love you, she sends.
You don’t need to send anything back. She knows you love her more than conceivably possible. But you do, anyway, and you hope it makes her smile.
When she does come home, she’s uncharacteristically quiet, only giving you a small kiss on the lips before going to change. You get up and follow her. Something’s wrong.
“Everything alright?” you call after her, watching her shuck her blazer off, motions choppy, unmotivated.
“I think you’re right,” she says back, voice weak. “I’m burning myself out.”
“So,” you murmur, coming up behind her and looping our arms around her waist, “let’s do something about it.” You kiss her neck, making her giggle. “There you are.” You kiss her jaw, then her cheek. “Were you serious? Do you want to leave everything and just… run away?”
“Yeah. I’m so fucking serious.” She turns so that she can set her hands on your shoulders. She gives them a squeeze, smiling. “I know what I want in life, and it’s not day after day of bullshit and lying and scheming. It’s just you.”
You kiss her, letting your lips linger on hers, savoring her soft gasp. “Then let’s get you what you want. What did you say, Italy?”
“It doesn’t have to be Italy. We can go wherever,” Shiv says, hands moving to cup your face, kissing you again. “I just want to be with you.”
“Let’s do it, then.”
She pauses, grin splitting her face. “Really? I thought it’d be harder than that.”
”No. I want this. Just you, the world at our feet.” She interrupts you, smashing her lips to hers. You laugh into the kiss, gently deepening it before you pull back and continue talking. “And you don’t have to fucking work with your father anymore. Much less be around him.”
“Let’s not bring him up anymore.” Shiv pulls her blouse off, shuffles to your side of the closet, and takes one of your sweaters. “Or any of my family. I want a nice, clean, break.”
“We can manage that.”
She changes completely into pajamas, before dragging you to your shared bed, her laptop already open. “I already have an entire itinerary.”
“Of course you do.”
Shiv’s lying on her stomach, scrolling through the notepad on her computer. “It’s January, so we hit all the tropics first. Go down to the Caribbean ‘til March. April we go sightseeing somewhere historic or something, like Greece, then we go do all the European bullshit ‘til summer, when we go to Iceland, Greenland, the Netherlands…” She pushes herself up onto her hands and deposits herself into your lap, cheek pressed to your thigh. “Or we could just fuck off to to Switzerland and live in the Alps.”
You laugh. “Honestly? I’m happy with all of the above.”
“I kind of just want a cabin in the mountains. Have our groceries delivered, we both work from home…” She trails off, pulling your face to hers for a kiss. “I might ditch the itinerary. Start looking on Zillow.”
You give her an affection-laden look. “It’d better have a good view. And a fireplace. And only one bed.”
“So demanding,” she teases, sighing contentedly. “Are we being serious about this? Like, actually? We’re both going to quit our jobs and run off?”
“I mean, I’m not saying no. You’ll be happier… anywhere but here.” Your thumb strokes over her cheek slowly, savoring the feeling of her skin on yours. “And I’d do anything to make you happy.”
Shiv comes to you a few days later, trembling, tears welling in her eyes. You’d just woken up from a nap on the couch after a run.
You sit up, pulling her down into a cuddle. Once she’s comfortably curled up against you, your fingers idling on her jaw, you speak. “What’s wrong? Why’s my girl upset?”
“I told him. I told Dad.”
“Told him what?” Your lips press gently to her hair. Shiv’s still shaking, so you take her hands in yours, squeezing them gently.
“That I’m done. I’m done playing the fucking game, I’m done bending over backwards for him.” She shifts away from you for a moment, readjusting, but keeping her arms wound tight around you. “I told him not to call me again. And that I’m leaving, soon.” The trembling has stopped now, but a tear slips down her cheek. You kiss it away, her face turning a deep pink at the contact. She’s smiling, though.
“We are?”
“I was going to surprise you. But it wouldn’t have worked, either way. I can’t just spring that on you.”
“How strangely insightful of you.”
She snorts. “I’m extremely insightful all of the time. The better surprise,” she says, pulling herself closer to you, “is that I got us both higher paying jobs in Norway. I found a cute little house, two first class plane tickets… I could get us work visas in, like, an hour. Just say the word. Tell me you want this, too.”
You don’t say anything for a minute, letting your eyes flit over her perfect face. “I do. I do want this.”
“Then… should I?” Shiv’s eyes never leave yours, all sparkly and sweet. Your heart swells. You were never going to say no to her in the first place. You don’t think you ever will.
You leave a kiss on the bridge of her nose. “You should.”
"By the way," she murmurs, chewing on her lip. "I infected the scab."
"Siobhan!"
"I was just nervous, okay?" She slides off of you, off the couch, and in moments she's fishing things out of the medicine cabinet. "Not that I can't do it myself, I just like it better when you do." You follow her, taking the rubbing alcohol from her outstretched arm.
"What, you're afraid of the sting?" She says nothing, offering you her hand and a cotton pad. You take it from her, soak it, and gently wipe it over the tiny, open wound. "You know, I thought this would happen. So I got you something."
You gently push her aside, reaching into the medicine cabinet yourself. You find what you're looking for, taking a bandage out of it.
"Oh my god, you asshole!" She laughs, a joyous, glorious sound.
The day before, you'd been looking through your various steaming services, trying to find something good to watch. You're both bored of the generic copy-and-paste trash dramas, no effort nor passion put into them. While on the hunt, you'd come across the entire Peppa Pig discography. She'd all but squealed, telling you it was her favorite show when she was a kid.
Instead of watching something engaging, you'd spent the rest of the night on cartoons.
The bandage you'd pasted to her palm had a badly printed picture of George and his dinosaur plastered on it.
༝༚༝༚
The fire crackles. A blanket’s pulled over the two of you, keeping you pressed flush together. Your face is buried in her chest, her hand idling at the nape of your neck.
She’d told you, during your first few weeks here, that she was the most at peace she’s ever been in her life.
“Would you let me take your last name?” she asks suddenly into your hair, not even opening her eyes. You smile.
“That’d make me happy,” you reply truthfully, nuzzling into her.
You can feel her smiling into your skin. “So if I asked you to come with me, down to the courthouse, for a ceremony, and I asked you to wear white…”
“Yes, Siobhan. I’d say yes.”
She giggles, unable to keep her lips off yours.
android!Robin has several technical problems, the most important ones having to do with her memory card, battery and motor skills.
Androids are supposed to have perfect photographic memory, but Robin's memory is poor even by human standards. She tends to forget where she left her keys, what she was going to do when walking into a room, etc. She forgets her schedule all the time, as well as Nancy's, and can't remember a recipe to save her life. Dustin and Suzie say it's a problem with the connections needed to access her memory card, rather than with the memory card itself. It's fixeable, but extremely difficult and expensive. Robin wants to get this fixed and she's working hard to pay for it - she doesn't want to be an inconvenience. Nancy will support her decision, but she really isn't bothered by Robin's poor memory. She just hopes she's doing it for herself and not to make herself "easier to handle" for other people (she's been told that's what her worth was based on her entire life).
She's only had one memory card her entire life (as far as she knows). Nancy's greatest fear is Robin hitting her head and it breaking. One could potentially take out the memory card and delete it or install a new one - that is Robin's greatest fear.
At one point, her connections get so bad there will be days in which she can't remember Nancy at all, or what her own name is. She'll act almost like a normal android those days - following orders, not speaking unless necessary, not expressing emotion unless instructed to, etc, though her poor motor skills, battery problems and bad memory will make it difficult. It freaks Nancy out every time, and she always tries to get her to snap out of it as if she were human, before accepting that love can't solve this problem, and calling Dustin and Suzie to fix it. She'll pay any price if it means having her Robin back.
Robin lets herself be turned off without complaint, without even the terrified shudder Nancy used to feel when she forcibly did it during their first weeks together. Robin's docile obedience as she let Nancy do this to her, and the way her body went limp in Nancy's arms, never failed to bring Nancy to tears.
It would take days for Dustin and Suzie to fix some of Robin's problems. This one took between one and two weeks. Longest it ever got was 16 days. During that time, Robin would lay lifeless on their workshop's table, her battery sitting somewhere else to prevent her from turning on automatically. Dustin insisted that he and his lady (as he called Suzie) worked best when their kingdom (their workshop) was untouched by foreign hands, so Nancy wasn't always welcome to visit Robin in that state. Nancy was relentless, though, and she usually managed to convince him to let her in for a few minutes. He thinks it's pointless - it's not like Robin can feel her there. She can't even dream. It doesn't change anything. In fact, he worries Nancy will be more disturbed than comforted, because Robin's entire skull, neck and spine will be exposed - only it's not bones and flesh inside, but metal and plastic circuits, plates, chips, wires and pistons. He's careful to at least put her face back in place when Nancy visits. He expects her to be taken aback by the sight, but instead, Nancy's eyes are full of so much worry and care and adoration as she observes Robin's lifeless body. She doesn't dare touch her - she doesn't want to hurt her. But she misses her so deeply.
When it's all finished, Nancy takes her back home with the utmost care and tucks her into bed. She waits by her side until she turns back on, and softly talks to her, asks her how she's feeling, brings her some water and asks her questions, to see if she's back to normal. Because it's all recorded in her memory card, Robin can remember everything - can remember the time she spent not knowing who she is, thought she can't remember if she was self-aware during those episodes. Whenever she wakes up, she's just happy to see Nancy, and wants hugs and cuddles from her, but she begins to cry out of fear as she tries to remember the details of not being. Nancy holds her every time, asks her if she wants to watch cartoons or if she wants her to read a book for her, to keep her from spiraling. She hates seeing Robin look so small and scared, but she also knows she's not scared of anything Nancy can protect her from. The horrors haunting her come from her own mind and her own nature.
(Dustin and Suzie make a copy of Robin's memory card and give it to her, just in case).
Dustin and Suzie take care of any fixes Robin needs. They're much nicer than any other technician at the previous repair shops she's been to. The most usual fixes have to do with weakness and stiffness in her knees and hips, especially on her right leg (it got broken pretty badly during a beating by her last owner - Billy Hargrove. He wanted to make her unable to walk. The person his father sold her to next did a poor job fixing her). These fixes are usually quite simple and take very little time. She will refuse to see them, though, until she reaches her breaking point when she struggles to stand up, or when she suddenly falls to the ground. It always worries Nancy to death - she's terrified of Robin hitting herself and suffering even more damage. It always takes some convincing for Nancy to get her in her car and on their way to Dustin's workshop. Sometimes, the fix will be so simple they don't even need to turn her off. Nancy holds her hand during these.
The third big problem is her battery. Thankfully, her battery is detachable and easily replaceable. They only had a mayor issue with it once, and they had to order a new one. Robin's model is rare enough that it took over a week to get there. During that time, they installed solar pannels in the balcony and Robin had to be connected to them with long, thick cables that stretched all around the apartment. It was more amusing than anything else, having to step around the cables and make sure none of them got accidentally disconnected. Cloudy days made her pretty much useless and had her lying in bed watching cartoons all day. She was completely turned off after sunset and she was up by sunrise. Needless to say, she couldn't leave the apartment for the week and had to call in sick to work.
Good thing was, though, that the new battery worked much better than the previous one. It lasted much longer. Nancy had only seen her this excited a few other times. The way she kicked her bedroom door down with a wide smile on her face as she yelled at her to come to the kitchen just made Nancy smile with adoration. Robin showed her the box in her hands - she was shaking with excitement - and asked Nancy to help her install it. She turned herself off and Nancy did the rest - disconnected cables, take out old battery, install new one. When she turned Robin back on, she was more full of life and energy than she'd ever seen her be. Free from her cables, she immediately grabbed Nancy's hands and dragged her outside - the sun was shining and she wanted to run around in the park, to roll on the grass and count the cloud and photosynthesize with a good book in her hand. To Nancy, she looked like a puppy, or a happy little bird just released from its cage. She could never say no to her, they would spend the entire day outside if Robin wanted to.
I KNOW YA'LL DON'T SHIP SEBARD BUT PLS JUST HEAR ME OUT! Imagine servants greeting Ciel and Seb post Compania ark. And Seb is just covered in human bites (weird dolls) and has a massive fuck0you wound in the middle of his torso. Like even in canon he was pretty fucked up by that scythe and i headcanon that his body can't do it's usual demon healing magic on that wound. All energy goes in keeping him alive, so his injuries heal at human speed. So when they finally arrive at the manor who else then a army veteran wound treat his wounds. (You can't tell me Seb would allow human doctor look at his weird otherworldly anatomy, especially when you can see his freaking insides...). Imagine how triggering that would be to Bard. His mind would probably be on autopilot until he was finished. And then flashbacks to both war and his family dying. And like he thought of Sebastian as a "superhuman", a constant. Seeing him injured and in need of HIS help is verging on uncanny valley... (Also he saw this dude literally eat bullets. It would be kinda scary to think what was at sea that would fuck up Seb so badly... With human teeth no less.). --- Seb probably hasn't been so close to his own mortality in a long time so the whole experience doesn't sit right with him either... But even more weird is SOMEONE ELSE worrying ABOUT HIM. I like to think that he would be absolutely shit at comforting someone distressed about his wellbeing. Like his whole experience with that is comforting a bratty 12 years old and dealing with Ciel's nightmares. And here is a grown ass man with PTSD. He is so uniquely unprepared to deal with it. He tries his best, which is absolute worst, until Bard just asks him to shut up. And like he is probably not in a right mind either. He failed, he lost the fight, he got injured and then they basically run. And the whole "possibility of dying thing" is not a concept an immortals creature really thought about. He asks Bard to sleep at his room. Totally for Bard's sake. Not because of the latest events or because most demons don't like sleeping alone. Cause in hell that would just make you an easy target to others.
wednesday, august 9 day 3: hurt/comfort (@benthan-week-forever)
Late at night, Benji sat at his laptop, frustration evident on his face. He had been working tirelessly on a complex task, and it seemed like everything was going wrong.
Ethan noticed the distress in his partner's eyes and approached him with concern. The brunette gently placed a hand on Benji's shoulder, offering comfort and support. He knew that sometimes all it took was a few sweet words and gestures to ease the frustration and bring solace to a troubled heart.
"Hey, Benji," Ethan said softly, his voice filled with warmth and understanding. "I know it's been a tough night, but remember, you're brilliant at what you do. You've overcome challenges before, and I have no doubt that you'll conquer this one too."
Benji looked up at him, his eyes searching for reassurance. Ethan smiled, his touch lingering on Benji's shoulder, providing a sense of stability and love.
"You're not alone in this, Benji," he continued. "We're a team, and I'm here to support you every step of the way. Take a deep breath, clear your mind, and remember how capable you are. You've got this."
As the older spoke, his words resonated with Benji, easing the tension that had built up within him. He felt a renewed sense of confidence and determination, knowing that he had someone like Ethan by his side.
Ethan leaned in closer, his hand now gently cupping Benji's cheek.
"You're brilliant, talented, and I believe in you," he whispered, his voice filled with love and encouragement. "Don't let this frustration define you. Take a break, clear your mind, and when you're ready, come back to it. I'll be right here, supporting you every step of the way."
Benji felt a wave of gratitude wash over him as he looked into his lover's eyes. In that moment, he knew that he was not alone. With Ethan's love and support, he felt invincible, ready to face any challenge that came his way.
Together, they closed the laptop, leaving the frustrations of the night behind. They embraced, finding solace in each other's arms. In that moment, Ethan's sweet words and comforting gestures reminded him of the strength of their love and the power it held to overcome any obstacle.
And so, with renewed determination and the unwavering support of his lover, Benji took a deep breath, ready to face the challenges ahead, knowing that Ethan would always be there to comfort and guide him along the way.
Link: Dear Younger Me, It's Not Your Fault
Summary: Damian gets blasted into a future where he's living his best life, and not to mention married. He doesn't think he deserves any of it. Future Damian and Jon help his think otherwise.
for super sons week bonus day 2: Magic and Mayhem
“Aw, I almost forgot how cute you were as a little kid, Dami! I just wanna squish his cheeks-”
“Tt, control yourself, Jonathan, if he’s as old as I think he is, he will not hesitate to chop your arm off if you so much as breathe in his direction.”
The child’s head was swimming, the two voices muffled as if he were underwater. He had a vague memory of being set on a bed, warm blue eyes setting him down and startled green hues tucking him in with the blanket still currently wrapped around him.
Instinctively, his hand went to the knife that was usually on the side of his hip. He grimaced as he realized even his most hidden weapons had been taken.
Mother would be so ashamed of him, if she were to learn that he had been taken in so easily, not to mention the failure of hiding weapons.
He sat up, struggling a bit, but managing to open his eyes, squinting as they adjusted to the light.
He was in a room, the bed set in front of a fireplace. The walls were beige, accents of gold and deep green painted along the sides. It was then he took notice of the figure in front of him. He blamed his disorientated brain on missing the key factors of the room.
(“Excuses.” Grandfather would spit.)
The person (?) was draped in a color matching the forest of the walls, poking the fire and making it leap to life.
Spotting a pair of scissors left on the bedside table, he carefully picked them up, moving to get up and sneak towards the figure.
“I know you’re awake.” The voice seemed more amused than dangerous, a discreet accent in the words.
The child startled, pushing the covers off and pointing the scissors at the person.
“Where am I? Who are you?”
He got his answer as the person stood, turning to face the child. He wore an outfit similar to a thawb, deep green with gold accents. There was a gold cuff earring on his left ear, covering it and connecting to a dangling chain in his lobe. His skin was a caramel tone, tanned and weathered through the years. His hair was a soft brown, brushed but without gel. The eyes that met his held pain and trauma behind them, but were kind.
(Kinder than his, he thought to himself bitterly.)
“You are safe here, please refrain from stabbing me with the scissors, although I doubt it would be an easy task.”
Damian opened his mouth to speak, but was immediately cut off.
‘’I assume you’ve already come to the conclusion that this is the future, and please be assured that we are working to send you back to your own time. You will most likely have all memories of this visit erased from your mind, therefore I will tell you that you are in my house, and the only other person is my partner, who is in the kitchen at the moment.”
His older counterpart moved to sit on the bed, and the younger scowled.
“I expected us to be taller.” were the first words out of his mouth.
The older one snickered, muffling his laughter with a hand to his mouth.
“Well, so did I. It's both hard and useful, you’ll get over it in due time, I promise.”
The door was kicked open, a much taller man carrying a tray with tea and toast on it. Both looked over in surprise, the smaller Damian immediately launching the pair of scissors at him.
To his surprise and Older Damian’s amusement, it bounced off his skin, bending as it did so and landing against the wall.
The raven-haired man grinned, dropping the tray on the bedside table.
“He’s so defensive and tiny!”
An angry flush came over his cheeks, but instead of a retort, he asked incredulously, “Kent??”
“Aww, we’re still in that stage!” Jon cooed. “He must have just met me.”
“Do not patronize me, Farmboy!” Younger Damian spat.
Jonn squealed again, making grabby hands. “Look at how absolutely adorable you were bossing me around!”
“Do try not to antagonize him, J.” The older one chided gently, eyes sparkling with fondness.
The child took immediate notice of this, picking up the relaxed postures, the way his older counterpart held such reverence for the other in a way he never thought possible for another human being.
Similarly, this future version watched the older with admiration as if he’d hung the moon and stars himself.
His arm flailed between the both, mouth opening and closing as if speaking but no words came out.
“You–we–him–us-”
Jon laughed aloud at the crisis the younger boy was having, shaking his head. “This is what went on when you finally realized?”
Both Damians scowled, the older one blushing a deep red.
The younger one seemed ready to scream. Both men tried to hide their hands behind their back, although not quick enough.
The child spotted the glint of the matching bands of gold the moment they moved, his eyes going wide as saucers.
“fi 'ayi ealam lan 'afeal mithl hadha alshay'?!” He began ranting in Arabic, pacing on the bed.
“I can’t believe you!” he finally declared, pointing at his counterpart as if he were accusing him of murder. “We married KENT?”
“Like it’s such a bad thing.” Jon put a hand to his heart, mock offended.
“Can it, Corncob! What did Father and Mother think?” He pauses in horror. “What did Grandfather think?”
“Hey, hey, it’s okay.” Damian grabbed his hands, holding them tight as the younger one tried to wrench them away.
“He must have tried to have him killed…”
The younger was looking anywhere but the older ones. This was horrible, he was both Robin and a feared assassin, why, why, why was he on the verge of tears at the thought of any of this?
(Deep down, he knew why. This was the forbidden life he kept inside for himself under lock and key. He was a monster, a weapon, meant to take over the League and if not the league, his father’s mantle. He was not supposed to look this happy, have this life, marry someone who was too pure for the world he was born into. Not someone who loved him, who looked at him with the knowledge of his past and still seemed to think he was capable of love.
Happiness….
That was never the plan.)
Jon watched the smaller version of his husband go through a hurricane of emotions all at once, emerald eyes shiny. He watched the internal panic and fear flit through a face too young to have such worries and felt a pang in his heart. One so strong because how many times did he watch his Damian go through that? The tears that should never have been shed, the panic and sleepless nights that should have been replaced with sweet dreams and laughter.
“It’s too nice,” The child finally rasped. “Too nice for me. How…how do I end up like you?”
He directed his question to his older counterpart, hands still trapped in his. The tears made his long eyelashes framing his eyes stick together.
“It’s all too good…for someone like me to have.”
The older one closed his eyes, inhaling deeply.
”It took me a long time, with a lot of help to banish the thoughts. Lots of help from different people. I…i can’t tell you anything that will make you believe me, because at this age, i would have been the same.”
“But I can tell you the absolute truth, and it’s that after everything we’ve gone through, and the challenges you have yet to face, we deserve everything that we’ve been given and much more.”
“You deserved a childhood with people who loved you and did not harm you or train you to death. And this future? This is what you deserve. We earned this future. You won’t remember this visit when you go back, but a part of you will know what I say is true.”
The boy sobbed suddenly, the three curling up on the bed and finding solace in one another.
Damian looked down at the paper in his hands. His counterpart shoving it in his hands and softly smiling was the only thing he remembered from his supposed blast to the future.
Dear younger me,
You deserve every good thing you get. None of the mess that is our life is your fault. Go on and make mistakes, give your heart a break, even if only for a moment. It will serve you well to make some friends too. Till we meet again, as your future self.
Yours,
                        Damian W.K.
The day after sending his counterpart into the portal, Damian was flooded with new, joyful memories, and a worn piece of paper with faded ink on the corner of his vanity’s mirror.
Absent-mindedly he wondered how long it took for the younger one to realize that the initials were a hint to his future after all.
