here’s the thing about getting older that I just found out. yesterday I was so nervous because there were going to be a ton of people I went to high school that I hadn’t seen since. and I was not the best version of myself then so I had the understanding that I was widely unliked. and do you know what happened?? everyone hugged me and asked how I was doing. told me they were so happy to see me and they were glad I was doing well. and I can’t tell you how healing that was to the self destructive 16 year old that bit at everything that came too close. I’ve done my time atoning and I can rest now. how cool is that
