Not a Christian, but the art and the drama and the pageantry the Catholics have created around their Christ is beautiful.
I’m always conflicted by Catholicism because half of my family identifies as that and I’m beyond captivated by their art and their worship over a mother goddess (Mary). No other sect of Christianity worships Mary (or any other woman) the way the Catholics do.
The symbols of love, empathy and kindness are what I find beautiful about the “real” depictions of Christ.
Whether you call the thing that connects us all “God” or “the Universe” or “Mother Nature” or “…etc” we are all beautiful, connected and valid.
