Derry girls is probably the only western high school show I’ve seen that doesn’t have horny teenagers looking 25 year olds having sex in every corner and take drugs and have shitty family dynamics and this is sooo amazing and accurate and we need more of that.

The gang is all dumb teenagers being dumb and childish (because they are children) and have normal family houses and parents who care about them in their classic parental ways. It’s familiar and sincere and most of us could relate to them.
