Hi everyone!! Theseus cquackity viceduo zombur revivebur here.

This blog has seen several hiatuses (my bad seriously my bad), and bouts of irregular posting. So I'm sure people who regularly check it have noticed that we (Fiona @quackbur and I) haven't been posting daily anymore and haven't for a bit now. So below the cut I'm gonna talk more about that, and our plans for this blog going forward

For starters, I love roleplaying on this blog so much, as does my cohost Fiona @quackbur. Fiona has done so, so much writing for this and I feel kind of bad for taking her credit over the past two or so years, so props to her for being such a good sport and for everything she's done. This blog wouldn't exist without the shared passion she had for it.

To get sappy, I love the friends I've made in bedrockverse, they remain some of my best and closest companions. I would not trade the times I've spent with them for the world. Beau, Holly & co, Met & Co, and Thunderbottles are some of the loveliest, most supportive, and insanely talented people I have ever had the pleasure of writing with and meeting.

This includes people who aren't part of the bedrockverse that I've written with!! Shoutout to Javi anonymous-jey casino-duckling, TGM the-g-m duckofthelaw, and AD anonymous-dentist therealnoodleman. It was so much fun bringing all the quackverses together, and I respect all of you so much as writers.

AND that also includes EVERYONE who has interacted with her!!!!!!!!!! Everyone who has sent asks (thank you so much, sorry we're terrible at replying), reblogged threads, commented, posted/liveblogged, DREW FAN ART (BLOWS OUR MINDS. THERE'S BEEN SO MUCH INCREDIBLE ART CREATED, WE CANNOT THANK ALL OF YOU ENOUGH), even just liked a thread, thank you. Seriously, it has meant a lot to us to be part of this community, and have so many people enjoy this blog. Insert Pitbull image happy you enjoyed.

So, going forward it would make us really happy if you all pictured casinoroyale as happy. He has songbird-sunrise, goofygoop, and a nation full of citizens that she loves. She babysits for tubbolul and latenightmining, and terrorizes rp!emduo not infrequently. All we really wanted was to bring c!quackity to a happy place and I feel we've done that. Of course he still has shit days, as a ptsd baddie, but the good days are more common. And if we never get to it (though I hope someday we do, maybe in the form of a collaborative one-shot or fic) know that casinoroyale and songbird-sunrise DO eventually get [REDACTED]. And one of them DOES get [REDACTED]. That was always the plan! Yay! [REDACTED]!

Not to say that we don't have more arcs planned for this blog, because we do! I just don't know when/if/how they'll ever get written, especially because a lot of my friends have moved on from their rp blogs as well. But I really do still feel happy with where he's at and happy with everything I've done. This is a project I'm really, really proud of and I will always look back on fondly.

None of this means that I'm not interested in c!Quackity or DSMP as a whole anymore, either. Actually that couldn't be further from the truth. But now I'd like to be able to focus on fics, and other forms of writing, which I've been doing more recently :D actually, you can read a short one shot I posted for exile's anniversary HERE

If you've made it this far into this long, sappy post, THANKS!!!!!! The TLDR; this blog is on an indefinite hiatus, and won't be returning to its formal glory, and that's okay. We had a really good run. Now, off we go to other things

Synopsis: Ellie and you are roommates in your shared dorm, both in different majors, you ever see each other when it comes to be at the dorm, on parties or with Dina, your shared best friend. At first Ellie was nice, always kept to herself but never mean, until she got her first college girlfriend, everyone keep telling you how much she looked like you, including Dina. So when Ellie "cheated" on her ex, her reputation went from friendly reserved football player, to fuck girl, "I got all the girls" asshole, or so it seemed to you…

Aight, I have been writing this while being in exam season, sooooo, sorry if this is shit lmao.

Also, another thing to note here is that there are some outfits on the future for YN here that I describe, normally don’t like to do that, cause maybe you don’t feel like that style fits you or whatever, so feel free to change that in your mind (also I don’t mind if you tag me on your own fit inspos, or send them 2 me?? I love fashion lmao) however, I do describe some for story purposes orrrrrr just cause I imagined YN waring something like that?? Idk lmao that’s it, I am just nervous lol.

I put up my yellow tinted glasses in my head while I entered the ban.

"holly fuck" I looked to my right, the small kitchenette, the drivers cabin.

to the left a very spacious corridor with a couch that could be built as a bed. in front of it, a tv that you could hide behind some cabinets.

further left, there was a small room. I approach the door to open it, a toilet, and a shower, very small, but better than nothing.

there was a door past that. Opening the door showed a big king sized bed. underneath space for storage, and some pretty reading lights to the sides of the bed. how the fuck are we four gonna fit here?

"fuck, it's so big right" Dinna was dancing around throwing herself in the spacious couch.

"bigger than my dorm for sure" I plop beside her.

Ellie, who had insisted on taking my luggage. Entered the van breathless from coming downstairs with it.

"you know, when you told me it was heavy? I thought you were joking" I rolled my eyes, standing up to help her get both our suitcases up the van.

"so... Jesse and I have already use some of the storage underneath the bed for our own things... there is some more beside de bathroom, and even more underneath this couch." her face showing a bit of remorse. giving away the fact that they had already claimed the room for themselves.

"look, we are gonna be here for two weeks, we can change the room to the sofa after the first week, yall get the grand finale!!" she was looking Ellie, with an innocent smile, her eyes tilted downwards a bit.

"is not all bad tho, look!" Jesse drew the couch revealing a queen sized bed. "see? Is not that big as the king, but yall get it next week." with a cheeky smile, he hold Dina from behind towards him and jumped in the couch. "umm… so comfortable…" I looked from Dina, to Jesse, to Ellie, I raised an eyebrow. "so… we'll be sharing bed?" I pointed back and forward, from Ellie to me, back to Ellie, back to me.

"well, yeah, unless one of yall wanna sleep on the passenger seat"

when Jesse was saying that, Dina pushed me to the room, and closed the door behind her. she was fidgeting with her fingers, "look, baby, I know you don’t like Ellie, and its gonna be a bit uncomfortable." she said while guiding me to the bed, sitting down and patting the space beside her.

"Jesse and I want some privacy... we are a couple after all." she was now bouncing her leg up and down, cleaning the sweat from her hands on her denim short shorts.

"look I am sorry… pretty please? I know Ellie is not a bad person and she won't hurt you, and if she tries something you know you can always tell me and-"

my mind was going 100 miles per hour, does she thinks I am kid? Of course I know that she was going to sleep with her boyfriend. I stopped her on her rant with my hand on her knee, also to calm down the bouncing.

"Dina, I am an adult not a kid. I knew you where gonna sleep with you boyfriend and I wasn’t expecting anything else, why are you-" she cut me off now. "is just, I don’t want you to not wanna come with us, and that you feel like I let Ellie drag you here for me. even tho it was her idea... I mean I do want you here but I-"

I put my hand in her mouth. my head was now spinning, "first of all Dina, I am not here cause Ellie dragged me, I wanted to come… with you…?" the last part sank in "her idea you said?" my eyebrow raised, my hand fell from her mouth "didn’t she told you?" her eyebrows curbed up, her face hit up, "she said it was your idea Dina…" silence fell "oops…?"

"Hey Dina! YN! I am driving to the nearest 7/11 to get some snacks, want something?" as soon as jesse said that, Dina jumped out of the bed, running towards the passenger seat, connecting her phone to the speakers and playing some music, I was left thinking, and soon enough we arrived to the 7/11, both Dina and Jesse went to get us things, Ellie went down to load some gas

I went out of the room, starting to put my clothes away, underneath the storage cabinets of the couch/bed. soon enough ellie was back

Why did she lied? There was no reason to do so, could've just say something like. "look we might be roommates for the next three years to come and I wanna make the passes with you. or, hey I wanna start again, let's be friends. or, we want to be four instead of three to split the bills more evenly" or whatever.

"shit!"

"fuck YN, what happened, are you okay?" Ellie kneeled down beside me. her eyes fell to my hands, the sting growing.

"crap, yeah I am fine, I caught my finger in the drawer when I closed it."

Ellie tried to take my hand but I sat down, gaining some distance from her. "I am fine, don’t worry, I was just distracted."

Ellies veiny hands were now stroking up and down her strong forearms. "shit, let me help you, you have any more clothes to put away?" her eyes where scanning still over my body, I came back to my posture, my hand hurting less and less. "don’t baby me Williams. I am fine, for real."

she rolled her eyes at that, planting on her feet when she stood up, looking down at me. "whatever, you are such bitch when you want to"

I rolled my eyes at her, my face felt hot. how fucking dare she call me a fucking bitch? I didn’t even said it in a mean tone... or did I?

I frowned my eyebrows, standing up and getting closer to her face. "fuck you, like you aren't worse than me."

she came closer this time, mare inches from me. I could smell her incredible scent, some of my baby hairs tickling her face from the proximity.

"I was just trying to be nice. tell me doll, a time I was more dreadful than you." well shit, if you ask!

I crooked my head to the side, looking at her eyes. expecting for her to be looking at me challengingly, but, her eyes were on my lips. I licked them drawing her attention back to my eyes afterwards

"the time where you ask me to get out of my class to bring you another pair of "cleats"." my fingers up making emphasis on the name. "well maybe if you didn’t doll yourself up with your pretty little high knee boots on a rainy weather." she interrupted me before I could finish.

Fall was starting. the weather in Seattle cold and humid. my brown leather boots splashing underneath the glistening floor. the splashes of the water beneath my soles weting the hem of my bell jeans. I was sprinting now, trying to get to Ellies practice on time. I looked at my watch, flicking my left wrist to my sight line, fuck, I am so late, I am so late.

From afar I could see her figure coming with her teammates. their chat was loud and I could hear their bright laughs from across the campus.

Ellie seamed mad, she wasn’t talking to none of the other girls. walking straight ahead with a look that could bury six feet deep, "Ellie! Fuck, I am sorry I am late, shit!" I came running as fast as I could, getting closer to her. "I don’t need you anymore" her eyes weren't even looking at me. "well damn, I was in class when you called me... came running all the way here while raining and trying not to fall" I was gasping for air. "whatever, your hero run is useless, the match is over." she tried pushing past me. I put a hand on her shoulder. "fuck you! here, your fucking trainers." I put her shoes on her chest, the nasty look she gave me would've intimidate me if I wasn’t so mad. I started to walk, "cleats" she said loud so that I could hear her "what the fuck?" I turned. I could feel hot air coming out of my god damn ears and nose. "they are not shoes, they are called cleats." her smug know it all smirk was enough for me. walking fast to get mare inches from her face, trying to reach upwards so that we could be in front of each other. "fuck you Williams. next time you call me in the middle of the class to go all the way from my class hall to the fifteen minute walk towards the dorms... on the fucking rain! and then come all the way to the courts! which mind you. is a thirty minute walk... make sure to call me at least forty five minutes in advance." she was quiet.

"and not to get mad at me when I can't get your fucking things in ten minutes" i said a bit les loud.

"well princess. next time don’t be so fucking slow, maybe if you did some exercise once in a while you could've done it faster" oh she did not…

"or what about the time you call me to pretend to be your date at that party to scare off your stalker and turned out on me. you left me half the party alone when you went smoking with your friends"

"or the time that one girl thought we were together after you fucked her at another party... and when she came crying and screaming you let me to solve your! fucking! problem! with her." her eyes grew, the memory flooded her vison. "fuck well that was different, I told you I didn’t had sex with her! she kissed me and then told the entire school that I dick and dash!" "YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE A DICK!" "well not a real one, but that is exactly my point too!" her voice was a bit more high pitch, her hands going straight for her hair, "shit fine, I know you’ve got more, we are even…"

"why where you so upset tho? So distracted?" ellie now looking out the window, checking on Dina and Jesse that where still picking things up.

"i don’t know, I mean yeah I do know, but I am confused…" I was looking from my hands to the window avoiding her. "what do you mean?" she looked at me, her eyebrows furrowed. "just something that Dina said that took me by surprise" Ellie looked so confused, her eyes scanning my face. "she said that… me coming wasn’t her idea" Ellies eyes opened wide "it was yours?" silence fell between us. Her eyes now everywhere but me, her hands fidgeting and her feet bouncing "no, I mean, yes but not, well technically yes?" I interrupted her "why did you lied tho? I mean, why not tell me you wanted me here, maybe, I don’t know, you wanna make up from you being mean, or you just wanted to be nice?" I was now the one coming closer to her, stepping with every word until our shoes touched, she was looking at me. " I don’t wanna be nice to you princess. I didn’t wanted you to come with us, I offered it to Dina because I am a nice friend, that’s all."

her eyes went from my lips to my eyes, back and forth, her voice trembling, her veiny hands traveling to my hips.

the words she spoke would've hurt me if I didn’t knew her enough. without thoughts my own hands went straight to her waist. she pull me in closer, her grip stronger, our breaths getting more agitated. Our chest rising and falling so that sometimes our clothed breast slammed together. I might hate Williams, but she looked just so good... the last sunlight making her skin glow in a very delicate way. her freckles shining so preciously, highlighting all her features. her rough eyebrows with her sexy slit, her delicious lips that I longed to kiss since the last time.

"wanna kiss me Williams?" my voice sounded way smaller than I expected, but she heard it. "I wanna do more than that to you doll." she was so close, her lips almost touching mine, I wanted to close the kiss so bad but I was gonna make her work for that. I slowly moved my head a bit backwards her own face starting to chase after me. when she realised what I was doing she groaned, her hands roughly reaching for my ass, groping it hard. I let out a whimper, my cheeks glowing red but I didn’t care, she was so close to kissing me, I didn’t let her.

I went straight to her neck, placing warm and wet butterfly kisses all over it. Ellie let out some soft breaths, she was trying hard not to show how much she was enjoying. my grip on her waist softened, my hands travelled towards her breast. softly stroking them on top of her shirt. "fuck" now we were talking.

as soon as she let that moan out I smiled on her neck, and she took that opportunity to take me from my own. her large hand covering almost all of it, pressing hard. "Ellie…" shit. her smug face was so close to kissing me. she knew I liked being choke, hell, she knew almost all my fantasies. oversharing after parties and smoking weed together before she started to be mean. earned some very explicit talks.

"what the fuck?" the door opened fast and aggressively. "I can't believe it!" Ellie and I jumped from each other. I stumble to the couch and Ellie went walking to the little kitchen. I sat down crossing my legs, there was no other way to do so cause the ache between my legs was too painful, too good…

"LOOK! NINE DOLLARS. NINE FUCKING DOLLARS. FOR ONE, ONE! PACK OF MALVOROS!" Dina was screaming. furious, seemingly not realizing what just went down between Ellie and I. "damn, how many did you bought?" Ellies question earned a chuckle from Jesse. "four packs." Jesse said "and nothing less than two lighters." Dina plopped down on the couch. letting the plastic bags on the little table in front of it. grabbing one of the packs and a pink lighter "it was good deal okay? 25 cents each lighter? You kidding?" she lit the cigarette in between her speech. passing the pack to me, I took one, I was going insane from earlier and I needed some relief.

"well ladies, I am gonna take a pack to the front, yall can keep the other three" Jesse took the opened pack taking one cig in his lips, extending the hand to Dina "my lady, would you like to be my co-pilot for the evening?" the cig hanging from his lip.

Both took off for the driving cabin, I stood there smoking and looking at the window, Ellie doing the same, sitting on the other side of the couch, the music blasting.

After a couple of minutes, two beers down and half a pack of cigs, both Ellie and I were just dancing to Dinas music, the ambiance was beautiful, the sunset beaming through the windows, satanist by boygenious playing, the four of us singing so loud, Ellie took my hands on her, her feet bouncing side to side, my own trying to pick up on her poor dancing skills, I could hear Dinas laugh from behind us, our ugly dance moves making her laugh even harder.

One hour passed, I wanted to keep on dancing but I my feet were screaming for me to sit down, for at least a few minutes, Ellie, like a psychic, came closer to me, placing a water bottle in front of my face, I took it while looking at her beautiful eyes, the blue hour tinting everything beautifully, it felt like I was In a dream, and I did not wanted to wake up from it.

This was supposed to be longer but I didn’t wanted you guys to wait more, I love writing this story, is so warm and flirty. Also I choose for it to be 5 parts cause I want all the smut in individual chapters, so you know where to go when you wanna read them :))

god my dreams have been so wild lately. Will post some art from my dreams later but last night i dreamt that RTVS had like something to allow a selecr number of fans to see some of the making-of for HL2VRAI.

And it turned out they'd decided to do parts of it in live action- because HL1 took place in what was originally a regular video game, and Alyx was in a video game designed for VR, so they'd do parts of HL2 in "just reality"

The recordings took place in a set in like a gym/sports building (idk what theyre called in english), and they'd built an elaborate set where theyd film shit around buildings or whatever.

I distinctly remember wayne walking on a tightrope, jumping off it with a comically large bounce, and fucking twisting his body into, i shit you not, a downwards chun li helicopter kick. idk who the bad guy was he was kicking (scorpy as barney/benrey/whoever theyd have for scorpy?) but it kicked ass in a funny way

They also had the science team at some point in a narrow hallway (like holly just had a full body dr coomer costume, you couldnt see her at all the thing looked like a mascot costume) and they fuckin dropkicked a wall to get to some combine soldiers

I just finished the creeping shadow for the first time and holy shit.

major spoiler warnings under the cut

I had already been told about Penelope being Marissa and was fully aware of it going into this. that was on me for waiting so long between reading the hollow boy and the creeping shadow. but the way skull dropped that at the end was absolutely iconic. just like he always is. I love him so much.

also Kipps is my tiny child. am I about his age? yes. but I have adopted him he is tiny and needs protecting. I also love him.

I also have FEELINGS about George storming in and losing his mind when he thought they died. and about how his bad aim was made an asset in his fury. I want to give him a hug he had a rough go this book.

and further feelings about the progression of holly and Lucy's relationship. and holly in general. I love her so much.

and while I'm at it Lucy and skull being casual roomies at the start was amazing. I still think Lucy was stupid and wrong for leaving, but I absolutely loved their dynamic there. and the amount of Skull™ lines is amazing. I want to make some sort of art that is just skull quotes. I seriously love him so much. I will be stealing his gender in the night when he is least prepared.

I also feel like Lucy did the most growth in this book. I still have my gripes with her and she is still my least favorite of them, but she is getting better. i do have several things I wish I would have been able to see from other perspectives but that's what I have ao3 for.

I've had several things from the empty grave spoiled for me, but between my deep love for these characters, my investment in the delivery of the story, and the president that the creeping shadow set for spoiled details still having payoff in this series, I am so hyped to read the next one tomorrow. it will be bittersweet to be done with the series, but I take comfort knowing that my autism will not be releasing me from this series for a long time. I really do love these characters and their stories.

and I have been hit with a fresh wave of unending fury that Netflix cut their adaptation off before it really picked up. I would give my left leg to see holly on screen or Kipps with his goggles or skull's full appearance on the other side or Lucy straight up killing Steve rotwell or the ghost that impersonated Lockwood at the end of thb or the entire poltergeist sequence before that or-

hi!! sure, I have a lot of new followers and I was just thinking the other day abt this and how my blog is like 70/30 my personal life v Taylor so that must be confusing for new people. so yes! here's the spark notes:

My name is Holly and I just turned 28! I grew up outside of Boston and lived in NYC for ~10 years after I went to art school there. I dropped out of college after one semester to pursue my actual dream of touring with artists. After I dropped out I spent a while willingly homeless in NYC so that I could establish myself & my career there. Eventually it worked & I had been doing freelance photography, videography, graphic design and merch sales as steady income since ~2017. I was in a 5 year, emotionally abusive relationship with my high school sweetheart and finally ended it in 2018. A bit after this, I went to Australia for the first time with my then-friend now-boyfriend (Nov 2018). I've been obsessed with Australia since I was like 5 years old and it was an incredible adventure. I spent about 3 weeks there alone without then-friend, and during those 3 weeks met a Man. The last night we spent in Australia on this trip was Christmas Eve, and said man invited me to have an outdoor Love Actually screening and have a wine picnic with him and all his friends. it was one of the best nights of my life. We hooked up and he singlehandedly cured some sex-related fears I had from the previous relationship and I couldn't stop thinking about it for months. Back in America (Jan 2019) I entered my hoe phase in a never-ending quest for validation and slept with every guitarist I'd ever worked with while meanwhile having a big mental breakdown. Enter a John Mayer vibing man we called the Guitarist here, and a lot of Bad Shit he did to me in his own validation quest mental breakdown (May-August 2019). Clearly my only choice was to fly back to Australia to see the other guy! And I did (September 2019)! Then I was mega depresso when I went home bc my life felt hopeless & I'd already lived out all the hope it had going for it :) I continued my hoe phase and chronicled it via Spice Nights where I’d just answer nsfw asks and give advice for like 8 hours straight. This is waxing over it but it was chaotic and I cannot understate the Depression (Feb 2020).

Then the pandemic happened whomp whomp. I lost all my gigs and posted about it on Tumblr dot com, this blog gained a very large following sort of bc of being a Taylor blog and sort of bc of live-blogging all the drama. ms Taylor Swift saw it and she sent me $3,000 to cover my rent for all of lockdown. a lot happened as a result of that but in the end I realized it was not smart to stay in NYC and spent summer 2020 roadtripping around the US with my then-friend who had first come to Australia with me, who had since joined the leagues of guitar-playing-employer-i-was-sleeping-with (there were 4 in total but I was in loveeeeee w this one). Big Cruel Summer vibes. my friend group exploded partially as a result of my behavior and partially bc they were cunts who didn't care about John Mayer vibe man manipulating me. So then I said fuck it and moved to Montana to work in a national park w guitar guy I Actually Loved who had become my boyfriend at that point, and we lived there until winter 2021. Then I started touring again, got insanely successful, was making more money than most people I knew with salaried jobs and booking work all over the world, my relationship ended over some drama I found out about way after the fact but then we got back together & moved in together (May 2023). Going great. Then I got so fucking burnt out from my job I was like stop the presses I am fucking off to Australia I can't do the music industry and the mega late-stage capitalism anymore. so now I live in Melbourne and am a bartender at a fancy cocktail bar and my relationship is sort of a LDR but I’m going home soon maybe(?) and that is what you missed on Glee!!!!

do YOU like webcomics or want to read some ? here are some i think are good NO im not gonna put my own here even if i think its good. -_-

starting with . i Think these ones are popular and well known..?

Paranatural - A story about paranormal ghosts and stuff. It's a real fun time, and the story is really good. The author's art progression is really impressive, truly skilled with paneling and such. It does eventually shift into a webnovel format with drawings as the author couldn't keep up with doing pages like before, and the quality of goodness of the story stays strong 👍👍

Tiger, Tiger - Story about the importance of sea sponges. Also a fun time, sea faring adventure about, again, sea sponges and how important they are nothing else OK? promise. (liar) PHENOMENAL artwork, very pretty to look at.... 👍👍

The Property of Hate - I need to reread it because i forgetted a lot but its such a cool looking comic and sooo interesting OK?! i swear. It's about a kid being a hero.

Vainglorious - a fun comic about a dragon facing Hubris Consequences. The main trio is real fun, the world is cool, all in all fun comic okie !!

Sakana - Slice-of-life comic about some folks working at a fish stall in a fish market. Real fun. Been on hiatus for four years, but is gonna make a comeback soon (author is working on building up buffer pages And then... ! ) But yeah! real fun.

Witchy - ... one i have to reread, it's been on hiatus since forever as the author was working on another comic (thatllbe out... in a while?), though i assume when that's done they'll come back to this...? Anyhow, I remember it being a very gripping story, and beautifully drawn... Also it's about witches. if. you . couldnt tell by the.. title...

NOW, onto ones that ... i dont Think are super well known ... ?

EcopportunityX - An interactive stick figure limited color palette comic about a facility where bad shit has happened ! uhoh! What the hell happened here! Follow the protagonist on their journey of learning what happened, and escaping the facility. Also, space pinball and ball pit beast is there. 👍👍👍

Eye in the Sky - And it only feels right to bring it up as well, but this is a fancomic of ecopportunityX ! ... Contains eox spoilers, so perhaps read the original first! This one features original characters and takes place a bit before eox, it's nice ok i like it :]

Gold Scissors - One of my all time favourites TBH. The art is nice, I love the story, the world is so cool i love it a lot... do yourself a favor and read it...

Midnight Connection - Finished! by the author of Gold Scissors, it's a short comic that takes place in the same universe, you can get through it in one sitting!! sniffles.

Brainchild - Comic about girl seeing weeeeeird stuff. Ghosts?! who knows. Tis a cool one OK read it...

Fairmeadow - "i hate being on the hippee comune they are always telling me Peace and Love on planet earth , orc lady, Peace and Love, and they do not leave me alone" - true real 100% words said. you can read it and youll see. Very pretty looking, ...

Holly & Macy and Everyone Else - comic about two teens learning about HOMOSEXUALITY and being a witch and its a very sweet .. i like it ok? it's also on tumblr @/ hollymacycomic

Falling to Far - i thiiink? its kinda just getting started, its about two star kids that just arrived to the planet of Far, and they are just checking how things are here rn. okie! its nice ITS ON TUMBLR! my fellow tumblr-hosted webcomicers lets gooooo

Daisy in DREAMLAND - ........ not a .. webcomic. Tis more a webnovel, i believe. It has pictures. Very cool looking guys, love the style, someone drench this cat in a bucket of water.

Needleminder - because fuck it we put webnovels here too I GUESS. it has pictures sometimes. haven't caught up with it recently tho BUT it's Very interesting and gets weird with it in cool ways...

Star Impact - comic about boxing! fighting! and people have gloves that give them a gimmick power tis pretty fuckin cool!

Through the Fire and the Flames by Dragonforce: This is the PERFECT energy I'm going for. A couple ready to throw hands. They stay with each other through the thick and the thin. Simply imagine this song playing in the background as they beautifully in sync beat the shit out of a couple dozen goons.

Short Skirt / Long Jacket by CAKE: Sadly I'm not into rap so I really couldn't add any songs from that genre that would fit but I can still definitely imagine Jason listening to this song in the car with Jazz.

She's An Angel by They Might be Giants: This song is about an absolutely wild first meeting with someone that you instantly fell for and the nervousness of talking to that girl you fell for. Do I need to say more?

I.L.B.T.'s by Joe Walsh: I have no good defense to having this song. This is Jason's thought process AND Jazz's thought process all at once in the .01 seconds where they first make eye contact (I mean have you SEEN how they draw Jason?! The dude has some honkers.)

Bad Romance by Halestorm: I was recommended to add this song to this playlist so I did! It has the right vibes I'm going for. Sure their romance ain't toxic as this song describes but It's hard to find guitar-y romance songs without it being about toxic situations.

The Masochism Tango by Tom Lehrer: This one is quite simple: Jason wants to get stepped on.

Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress) by The Hollies: This one is also simple: It's a song about a tall woman. Tall Jazz has consumed my entire being. Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar: These two flirt by fighting change my mind.

Today’s replies! We’re covering a lot of topics today: some are related to our posts from this week so far, then there is one about Scott Pilgrim Takes off, and one about the Shingeki no Kyojin fanart. Let’s start with the latter one.

I remember a few years ago you were drawing a lot of snk related stuff. Do you think that you are making a comeback sometime? I feel like the fandom is much more calmer now.

Ohh that was such a long time ago and it was such fun time… well, a lot of it was stressful as hell because of the fandom and the shipwars and the non-shipping crowd who are quick to shit on artists who draw niche things; but to be honest, this isn’t the only reason why we stopped posting snk fanart. The main reason was that we were getting burnt out and wanted to consume some new media, and it’s nothing unusual or bad: it happens all the time. We dive deep into the title, have a lot of ideas, create AUs, draw and post stuff, and then after some time we move on. There are some titles that we revisit every other year or so, without diving too deep into them, and sometimes we just randomly remember about the characters and get the urge to draw something with them (we’ve done a couple of Zevi sketches even after technically stopping posting snk, as you might’ve seen).

With SnK, even though it’s been quite a few years already, I think it’s still kind of fresh in our minds, so we don’t have anything new to say with our posts or my art…yet. So I can’t really predict when we’ll come back, but you know what they say; a criminal always returns to the scene of the crime lol We love Shingeki very much, so even if it takes a long time, it’s inevitable.

Also, we are very grateful to have people who remember our stuff from back then and even wait for us, I am honestly surprised by it... So thank you so much for asking <3

Which one of the Scott Pilgrim girls do you like? And other than Todd and Wallace, which other male character do you like?

My absolute favourite is probably Julie, and it’s partially because I have the Aubrey Plaza Bias, but I also really liked what they did with her character in the anime. She has the best faces, she’s so animated and so evil. I would love the second season (that we won’t get) simply to look at her more lol

I am also super weak for Kim, she and Julie both are my “best girls”. Kim’s personality just perfectly fits the type of character that I usually like, and I really like the bitter-sweetness that comes with it.

Speaking of the anime specifically, I also really like what they did with Ramona and Roxie. Their relationship didn’t get much depth in the movie (for obvious reasons, they didn’t have time to dive deeply into any relationship), and it was very delightful to see them work through what happened between them… in a way, I guess. Plus, Roxie is an idiot and that’s awesome lol

Ep3 was too much for me in general, all the girls’ interactions were very good + oh my god Hollie’s hot.

Now for the guys… Oh, Gideon, absolutely, he is great. He is such a highlight of the movie, we adore him a lot. So it was interesting to see his trajectory in the anime, and I am very happy that he is just… naturally evil and controlling fuck lol

Matthew was very enjoyable in the anime and I’m glad he got more attention, Lucas was animated very nicely and had a couple of very funny lines. I also think I developed a soft spot for Stephen at some point lol

And not a single person noticed… That’s why he’s a great actor lol

Oh good question! Other than Trey/Riddle and Azul/Idia, the first couple that comes to mind is Rook/Vil, who pretty much already feel like a couple that’s been together for quite some time. Their household situation would probably be complicated, but in general they’re each other’s partners for life I think.

I would also say ADeuce but they’re the type of couple who is always together but just can’t settle down because of some stupid reasons. Jack might steal Deuce from Ace and settle down with him lol Who else… Kalim and Jamil are stuck together, they don’t count lol

Storytime about Why I Personally Like Jotaro's Character

I think it's safe to assume that 90% of us ocean man simps (and/or the 11k followers of the joot tag) had to have hated the guy in the beginning, only to watch p4 and say "hold on wait a minute I'm feeling sumn" and then go back to p3 and say "oh shit hold up".

'cause when i first started p3, i remember jotaro calling holly a bitch and that led to my first impression of him: "Oh so if jonathan was the gentleman jojo and joseph is the wacky jojo, this is the edgy jojo. I'm sure I won't like him at all with that attitude".

let me tell you... i hate assholes. antagonists. absolute douchebags. the too obnoxious men, and edgy men for the sake of being solely edgy.

and i kind of had the same feeling of him throughout the first few episodes, and then the more the plot went, the more I got to see bits of his subtle heart of gold personality come through and I thought to myself "no way but he's still an asshole, why am i beginning to not hate him at all?"

but I couldn't bring myself to hate the guy when in certain moments he brings up his dorky one-liners, the tiny curl that forms his seldom smiles, his general badassery. So at the very least I now respected the dude by the end of p3.

And then p4 happened.

Oh man. Did 4taro do something because damn, this version of him was what got me simping for the man.

Idk what happened but right at the beginning of ep 1, I see him in that taxi in his white fit and immediately, I disregarded the sudden art change and already vibed with the first scene of jotaro in that moment.

and i was greatly confused to say the least. I've been keenly aware of my tastes in fictional men and so far before joots, they were often very.....

let's just say... "young anime boy" visuals.

LISTEN. Don't ask why Kirito is here; I was still in middle school when he became my fictional crush eye-

anyways-

soon after, even if i was enjoying josuke and his friends in their slice of life shenanigans, i admittedly looked forward for scenes where joot would be in it, got excited when he does something cool and badass, and just appreciate him just vibing silently in the background, probably thinking a million things at once- the murderer, his thesis, the stand arrow, his job etc.

cue to the end, and I really like like jotaro at this point. As in the "holy shit... my new fictional mans?" like.

I was in denial. Because no- Just no??? How did this happen?

Was it because he grew out of his angsty rebellious teen phase, and into this now mature professional, Stand expert, and mentor who's learned how to not be excessively rude while still keeping true to himself as seen in his stoicism, intelligence, and badass nature?

and then to realize he was a DILF in p6?? And a divorced man??? And that he explicitly shows the audience his feelings towards his family for the first time???

Oh man. I was never too into dilfs... but-

So I rewatched p3 scenes again and there I was able to like 3taro as much as 4taro and 6taro. I grew to notice more of his very subtle character amidst the rebellious façade- using that big brain of his in fights, the way he has fun with the crusaders by doing party tricks, the more amount of smiles he does that i failed to notice at first watch, understanding why he shouts at certain women, the utmost care and love he has for his friends and family and how much he'll go through just to keep them safe.

I even grew to love the rugged, buff design of 3taro, which I now admit is kind of a favorite now along with 4taro.

Ultimately, I like jotaro because even though he gives off a very bad first impression, you get to watch his character go through a bunch of events throughout the parts, and see how other bits of his sides and personality surface, develop, and change the more he grows in experience and age.

Idk if it's just me, but I am a sucker for quality character development and jotaro shows exactly that- from being a rebellious delinquent who walled his vulnerabilities behind a rude mask, to a wise mentor-figure who knows better than to be impulsive and rash, to a caring father who'll sacrifice the universe and himself for his only child to live.

holy shit this was l o n g but I needed to get this out of my system because my god, I love this man sm.

and i know i have ranted about this before, but istg, the dudebros be literally seeing jotaro's personality as nothing but a man who's misogynistic and simply punches his enemies to a pulp to solve the issue, without realizng that he has to think of ways of getting closer to the enemy in the first place. Hence why yall shallow mfers think he's a bland protagonist with the emotions of a brick wall smh.

im curious, and i might read them if my brain is nice to me

reading slump...

tbh haven't reread them in a while have been doing more art then reading lately but the first reason I picked up these books is because im a big horror/thriller fan and have been since like 3rd grade like horror games, rituals, scary stories you name it so that's why I picked it up in the first place another reason why I picked them up was because at the time I was an angry kid going though shit so reading about how fucked up the justice system is was kinda comforting in a weird way because at least I didn't feel so hopeless and angry alone also I like the way holly writes there is something so terrifying about the way she writes its amazing I also like the way holly didn't just go "okay pip is traumatised but she's the same person with no problems" but actually showed how much it affected pip, how it changed her, how it affected the people around her because trauma changes you it makes you look at things different sometimes it makes you scared sometimes angry sometimes empty and I think holly portrayed that very good also coming back to the justice system thing I love how holly didn't sugar coat it she made it very clear how the justice system to this day till is in a lot of places she shows that a lot of cops are racist, that a lot of people will still judge people who have been sexually assaulted, drugged and worse especially women and girls because of what they were wearing, that many many people have been failed by the justice system because people won't fucking listen and that's just things I can count on the top of my head also I will say it again holly jackson writes thriller so horrifically good its amazing and the plot is always great also personally I like how she doesn't overdo the romance like there is romance in her books but its realistic and not to much and to end this I would like to add:

"And, finally to all the girls who've ever been doubted or not believed. I know how that feels. These books are for all of you."

It’s August 1985, only a month after the events that occurred on the Fourth of July. Everyone has seemed to move past the tragedies that have befallen the small town. Except Will Byers, that is. It’s the second week of high school and the Party is beginning to split apart at the seams. But he’s got bigger things to worry about. Like the strange tingling in the back of his neck and the horrific nightmares that have been plaguing his sleep. As well as a little girl with a missing friend, bound and determined to see her return home safely, no matter the cost. Will’s not sure how everything ties together. But he’s got a bad feeling that it has something to do with the ghosts that have been appearing, popping up with painfully familiar faces and stories.

The Upside Down is gone. Or so everyone keeps telling him. But Will knows the truth. You can burn all the vines and close all the gates. But you can’t flush out a virus once it’s already been spread. After all, how do you kill something that’s intertwined with the very root of Hawkins without affecting the real world?

“Did you guys see the news last night?“ Lucas asked, suddenly. He scuffed his shoe against the floor. “About the missing kid?”

Mike’s expression grew pensive. “The one from Loch Nora?” He confirmed. Lucas nodded. “Yeah. My mom has been wigging out about it since yesterday afternoon. Now she’s decided to push our curfew back. She even made Nancy drop me and Holly off at school today. It’s ridiculous.”

Will hadn’t been allowed out past ten o’clock since nineteen eighty three. He might’ve found it annoying but it certainly wasn’t ridiculous.

“Same here,” Dustin said. “My mom wouldn’t even let me out to go to the grocery store. It’s like she thinks I’m going to get kidnapped walking down the street in broad daylight.”

Will smiled, humorlessly. “It’s happened before.”

Mike’s head snapped up. “Will—“

Will didn’t let him finish. “Is that what they think happened to her? A kidnapping?”

Dustin shrugged. “What else could it be? The kid lives in Loch Nora, for all we know someone could’ve snatched her for some quick ransom money.”

“I don’t think so,” Lucas disagreed. “Dad said he knows the family, apparently all the kids have their own bank accounts and shit.” He grabbed the apple off of his plate and started tossing it back and forth between his hands. “I heard him talking to Chief Powell last night and the police are pretty sure she ran away.”

Mike frowned. “What’s there to run away from?”

Dustin had a weird look on his face. “Steve said he used to run away all the time.” He tugged on his bottom lip with his teeth. “Just because someone is rich doesn’t mean that their life is perfect. Haven’t you seen Steve’s empty house?”

Lucas nodded, pointing at him. “That’s a valid point. I mean, what if she was being mistreated or something? Maybe her grandparents showed up and took her.”

“It’s usually the relatives,” Dustin allowed.

Will had a weird sense of deja vu. “That’s what Hopper always says. Ninety nine out of one hundred.” He stuck his fork down straight into his soggy turkey. “But what about the one percent? What about the kids that go missing without a reasonable explanation? What happens to them?” Will didn’t wait for an answer. He knew exactly what happened to them.

“You don’t think it’s the Upside Down, do you?” Mike asked, voice serious. He leaned across the table, just avoiding putting his sleeve into a ketchup stain. When Will didn’t respond right away, he panicked. “It’s not like you can feel him, right?”

“No,” Will said, strangely hollow. “It’s not him.”

Not this time.

Lucas shivered, which should’ve been impossible considering the sheer heat of the cafeteria. He wrapped his arms around himself. “But the gates are closed, aren’t they? Nothing can get out?”

Will watched as goosebumps started to prickle up and down along his arms. If he squinted, he could see the same little bumps appearing on all of his friends.
