7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 on my pinned list of Degrassi asks - only if you want to, of course!
Oh, thank you! I'll have to send you more asks in a bit. <3
Characters I'm most similar to:
1.) Ellie Nash
2.) Grace Cardinal
3.) Terri MacGregor
Three things I would change:
1.) The mishandling of practically every black and POC character. It's no secret that almost all of them were either sidelined or barely given a fraction of the focus the white characters were given. Ex: Liberty's pregnancy was almost all about JT, Jimmy's reaction to the shooting and his paralysis is minor compared to the focus on Spinner and his redemption arc, Chantay doing precious little for eight seasons straight, Tiny exists only as a love interest and Zig's sidekick in spite of his rich background involving addict parents, Vince, and previous gang ties, Shay's mostly only prominent during a story line specifically about racism compared to Frankie and Lola.
2.) Inadvertently making multiple main characters rapists because the writers were uneducated about what healthy consent looks like (Sav/Anya in season 9, Holly J/Declan in season 10, Drew/Katie in season 12)
3.) Queerbaiting the Zoe/Grace romance in Next Class to prove a point about stereotypes by punishing the one character not stereotyping or making assumptions about Grace. Straight up, they didn't need to have sex. That was hurtful and way too far. All this specifically told from Zoe's perspective, meaning the show deliberately kept Grace's feelings and motivations a mystery.
Characters I once loved but then disliked:
1.) Declan Coyne (Season 10 originally turned me off, but rewatching season 9 only reinforced that he was always an entitled, self involved person with a flimsy grasp on respecting the word "no")
2.) Owen Milligan (Love is a stretch, but I easily accepted him as a boyfriend to Anya and protective brother to Tristan presumably because I thought Daniel Kelly was hot with longer hair. I know myself, and 18 year old me had no shame. Owen Milligan had zero redeeming qualities.)
3.) Johnny DiMarco (Not full on dislike, but I've lost a lot of respect for the character and feel he spent a lot of time being a malicious asshole and involving himself with a much younger girl well past the age of knowing better. Just because he acknowledged JT four seasons after his death doesn't make him a good person)
Characters I once disliked but now like:
1.) Mia Jones (She wasn't that bad. She just came onto the show during an awkward era, and I was then a big fan of JT/Liberty and Peter/Darcy. While the modeling arc wasn't great and Degrassi could have done a better job showing her struggles as a teen mom, she was well intentioned and people liked her because she was nice. It's that simple, but I had a visceral hatred of her LOL)
2.) Campbell Saunders (It wasn't him. It was the overwhelming fan response. Now that it's been a decade since his character was killed off, I can admit he was a good character. Just not a personal favorite)
3.) Drew Torres (I'm aware there's a lot wrong with him and that he deserves an award for the consecutive amount of bad decisions he made, but there's something endearing about the character. I'm a big fan of his growth, particularly in season 13 and during the first half of season 14. He got screwed so that the baby could be Eli's, and I hated it)

🎁🎁🎁
Thank you, Holly!!!!
“I always knew you had expensive taste, Doctor Rhodes.”
“You can just call me Connor, Lola,” he said, and she nodded as she carefully peeled away the black foil around the top of the bottle. “But all the proceeds from the bar go to charity, so of course, I’m going to buy the expensive taste champagne.”
send me a 🎁 and I’ll write five sentences of what I’m working on and share one

Halloween 2022
Frank: Eric Draven.
Frank mostly goes along with what Delta wants. If it’s up to him, he’d just spend the night either in the castle or walking around and watching the drunks, seeing what sort of freaks show up on Halloween.
Figaro: Magic Mike (One of those plush muscle costumes with a ‘Hi my name is MIKE’ sticker, a Michael Myers mask with Mike Tyson’s tattoo drawn on it, A Mickey Mouse sorcerer’s hat, really tight green leggings and Air Jordans
Gepetto: Adam Ant from Prince Charming Diana - Boy George inspired
On the actual Halloween night, there’s the Funkytown special. The dolls get all dressed up in their costumes, they have the house decorated, and they hand out candy to the kids. Many of them ask what Figaro is supposed to be. They explain it thoroughly. They either leave confused or amused. Willem is more than welcome to take part in this tradition again.
Wiggins: Inigo Montoya
Sitting outside of the office at the trailer park with a jack’o’lantern shaped bucket, handing out candy to the kids in the park. He has backups in case the Beagles rob him.
Rory: Dorothy Gale (for the tips)
Rory will be working through many bars throughout the city, popping in and out. Hardly noticed by anyone except for those who are observant. He does his job well enough to blend in.
Thomas:  Sriracha since he’s pretty hot.
Of course, whatever Valerie might have planned. But given the fact that she is still heavily pregnant and it’s unlikely that they’ll go out clubbing or anything of the sort, he’s more than happy to lounge on the couch and eat the Halloween candy that he picked up that day, posing for a couple of pictures.
Aphrodite: Poison Ivy Bubbles - Post-Apocalyptic Look
They’ll both be wandering Halloweentown for the natural festivities of the town. Not together, just the staff of the school enjoying the holiday.
Jock: Dandy old Gent.
He decides to walk around the city and take advantage of the drunks, get some sips, deal some drugs, end up taking the ‘Deceased’ truck back to the police station and waking up uncomfortably naked in a body bag.
Petey: Taco Iain: Guy Fieri
This pair is going trick or treating in the safer neighborhoods. Iain got invited to a couple of the university parties but ditched them for this. They’ll head out in the early evening, stopping in at Funkytown of course and saying hi to their friends there, hanging out for a little bit and Petey interacts with the dolls, wanting to brush their hair out. But then keep on going so they could be home before dark and watch the scariest movie that Petey can handle - Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.
Ace: Inflatable Alien Abduction Suit Bambi - Jennifer Check Valentin - Vampire Nicolai - Dinosaur
Obviously, Halloween is a big deal for Halloweentown students. Ace will be with Libi, doing whatever Wonderland stuff they can bring to the town. Bambi will be attending her first costume party. Valentin and Nicolai will still be poking around the aftermath of the Devil’s Night Carnival.
GoGo: Suki - Fast and the Furious
If Scout doesn’t feel like many any plans, then she’d just head out and do her usual puttering around on her bike, testing it on the road, maybe stop into a few garages to see if her mechanic friends were handing out any goodies for the season. She’d walk away with a cup-holder for the handlebars, some pin-up girl stickers and a sound suppressor for her muffler.
Livvy: Lola Bunny
If Willem is handing out treats at Funkytown, she’d stop in and say hi. Give him a little treat of a makeout session. And then she was going out with her cousin and his friends for the night to the human parties, just because she wasn’t going to the big Halloween bashes with the girls anymore.
Elsa - Holly Golightly, iconic black dress with pearls. Sally - Molly Ringwald from The Breakfast Club
The two older women will both be handing out candy. Not together, of course, in their respective homes, but neither of them lived exciting social lives. Sally would just want to stay in with her fiance and Elsa planned on curling up with The Turn of the Screw once the sun goes down.
Maddy - Mama Bear
Maddy’s getting a little too big to be waddling around town but she wants to get dressed up anyways. Even if it’s just to find a place to park their rears and hand out full sized candy bars and talk to the kids, that would be a perfect way to spend Halloween.
Clopin - David Bowie, red overalls look.
Why would Clopin ever skimp on Halloween? Just because they were caught in their Peruvian home and the council was still trying to see everything that they were doing, doesn’t mean they won’t celebrate. It’ll hardly be the worst Halloween ever either. He’d dress up flashy, and act the part all through the day. Videocall Valerie and give her a little ‘Rebel Rebel serenade’. They might not have much candy but Kuzco is more than enough to sate his sweet tooth.
Ellie - Skate-boarding Sheet Ghost
Ellie will mostly be doing bakery stuff, tired after the events of the carnival. It’s a busy time of year. Everybody wants treats for their parties so she was called in to help with deliveries but that wasn’t too bad. She made time and a half. More money to sink into the crib. Maybe some new mattresses one day. What a goal. If her crew is busy, then she’d probably just go around town and people watch beneath the lazy sheet she cut up.
Gabby - Mummy
Gabby dressed up for the Haunted Ranch, something that happens each year at Woody’s. Maybe a little more hardcore than some of the others who wear masks, but she gets into it. And then she spends the night protecting the place. Sitting on the roof, feet dangling off the side, katanas strapped against her bandages, smoking. Now’s the time when the veil is thinnest and she’s sent a lot of fuckers down to Hell. Each Halloween, she awaits to see if she gets any visitors.
Also best bet that Pierre is gonna take advantage and wander, see what’s going on with people. Mostly stick around Seven since he’s the only one that doesn’t make him feel totally unwanted.

If you don't mind me E N T E R I N G your blog, basically i played through investigations and ace attorney 1 recently so i have been mostly just lurking the narumayo tag, instead of playing the damn games and might i ask, do you have any non ace attorney ships you're into?
Why please my dear friend~! Come in, come in! Between, between~!................
Non-ace attorney???? Ships????
youtube
sjkjsksjkas ok but i got quite a few.... tis nothing all that interesting, all straight and mostly canon.... if a show is showing me [male character] and [female character] enjoying each other's presence with a lil bit of love-teasing then I'll probably ship it lel
so ahhh mucho texto alert xd:
Of course I'll start with the funny reference above, TUGS.....
There's Hercules x Lillie of course, but Sunshine x Sally... they got something going on~, like the fact that there's little screetime between them and what they have is all very 👀👀👀 makes my imagination soar through the air ngl jsjsjk ((id say something bout the lack of content but we're talking bout tugs, thats in general xd))
On a related note, yes I am looking for some good ships in Thomas but I can't seem to find any or like, ♂ and ♀ interacted and didn't hate each other so SHIP jskjsksjks then again, tis just an adjacent fandom I'm not paying close attention to it
And for the rest of the live-action, I don't watch live-action,,,, but what i have is: Patrick x Teresa and Rigsby x Van Pelt from The Mentalist, Jim x Pam in The Office (everything else idc or dont like it) and most importantly, Carly x Freddie in iCarly. I really drop the show when they made Sam x Freddie canon lmao enemies-to-lovers my belothed </3
______________
I looked through my cartoon list and it's pretty much married couples and all that is canon lol: i like Fry/Leela, Shrek/Fiona, Josh/Emily, Alejo/Valentina, Bugs/Lola, Daffy/Tina, if a western magical girls show gives each girl a boy to crush on/date then imma ship it, I'm just that simple lol
but ofc it gotta be reciprocated, if it's one-sided and the other party doesn't like it then I won't like it either :/.....
That being said, western cartoon romance sucks, they're all so bad unless they're already married ksjakjskajs the fall of western civilization what the helllll
I guess Lotor x Allura or Shiro x Pidge in Voltron:LD but damn, its voltron, everybody loses when it comes to shipping there e.e
______________
And now what's REAL good! ANIME!!!
Starting strong with the best, the god tier, the absolute 10/10 ship of all time...
Marin x Melan from Brigadoon. The ultimate ship. Best love story ever told. No one can deny it. I can't go into much detail because it's better to go full blind but this really is the OTP of OTPs, I'd do more content of them but Melan is sooooo difficult to draw 😭
Unironic and monogamic, Light x Misa from Death Note, I do believe he could fall for her and both really are a match made in hell~♡
Kamina x Yoko from Gurren Lagann was pretty good for what it lasted lel
Gaku x Tsumugi from IDOLiSH7, what a power (and based) move to remove the otome aspect in the I7 anime but have one of the guys be purely in love with the manager of the rival boy band... they're not even "rivals" exactly, they're just co-workers in a somewhat competitive field, is the enviroment that gives it a forbiden fruit/rivals-to-lovers taste but they're actually friends all around lmao
There are many lovely married couples in JoJo, but from the non-canon that I like?? Kakyoin x Holly. For real, it's so lovely, funny and bizarre (xd) not only they should get togheter but Josuke should have been their son. Think about it, he'd still be a Joestar through Holly, have a stand through Kakyoin and it wouldn't break Joseph's character!
Alto x Ranka from Macross Frontier, I don't know/care if there's a movie that says otherwise, these two end up togheter at the end fuck you fuck you ((also Hayato x Freyja in Delta and I still don't know bout SDF xd haven't watch the movie yet... and who cares about seven???))
Lunge and Eva from Monster should have totally team up togheter and maybe fall in love with each other in the process 👉👈
Naruto x Hinata my canon beloved ♥ but..... Neji x Hinata....! aaaaaaa the story is kinda funny actually. At the time I was considering shipping it, r/dankgentina was doing like, a fuck-ton of Santiago del Estero (being the Alabama of Argentina) memes and "La prima lejana" by Los Autenticos Decadentes kept being referenced, for obvious reasons: la prima lejana means the distant cousin♀ so I think you can guess what's the song is about... point being that I thought to myself "If I like the song, Imma ship them cousins". It's a song from my childhood. La prima lejana is a song that I loved in my childhood and now I know what is about and now I ship the cousins lmao.
KawoShin? AsuShin? Kaworu x Asuka! that's where the good Evangelion shits at!!
I kinda ship Utena and Touga, but that's just to trig the libs lmao
Pleaseeee tell me that Claudio and Nicoletta get togheter in Ristorante Paradiso cmonnnnn that was like the only thing i was invested in that god forsaken anime aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa why are joseis like this??? (ok i do know but still... also you gotta bring proof, this is an mainly ace attorney blog, we're evidence-based here 😤)
fuck you fuck you fuck you, Sakura and Yukito should have get togheter, the teacher and the """she's so mature for her age!""" student are actually canon in the manga so CLAMP literally has no problem with that so why not here???.... this are the remains of lil me liking Yukito and projecting through Sakurita but I still agree and now I have more reason to...!
Protagonist x Akashi from The Tatami Galaxy~ very basic, very nice~
Very mixed with the ships of Inazuma Eleven... like, Endou x Natsumi is canon in games and anime and is sorta fun? But Endou x Fuyuka is canon in the game Rangu is playing and it's really sweet and I love it?? But Rangu himself ships Endou x Touko and he's absolutely right??? idk but Kidou x Haruna does slap tho
(and i have no idea in GO, there are so many combos and I guess there was something bout Nosaka and Anna in Ares/Orion?)
I don't really ship much in Pokemon, maybe self-shipping with some of them guys... on the other hand, Lucy actually liked and accepted Brock's advances on her? and that's epic, i love it! And then... then there's Ikarishipping (Paul x Dawn). What a fucking great ship name that is, next to JustWright, it still has that enemies-to-lovers taste I don't like but it is kinda cute and it hold my attention for more than 10 seconds, so that's something- also more fandoms should do that ______shipping naming thing xd
______________
welp, that was a long thing to write lol, anyways thanks for reading, asking and for your patience haha^^
in any case, this makes me consider doing an entire month dedicated to my other aa ships and another month dedicated to all my non-aa ships xd it'll be great~

TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR HOMPHOBIA AND DEATH.
bonnie is grumpy and not much more could be said about her if you didn’t know her. bonnie has been through quite a lot in her life and it all started really when she came out to her parents at eighteen, she wasn’t ashamed of being a lesbian but she wished the same could be said for her parents who immediately disowned her and emptied her savings account. bonnie was happy to move out of course and get away from the small town life in north carolina , she wanted a fresh start in a new place so she ended up going to med school in seattle.
during med school, bonnie met holly and they instantly hit it off. they went from strangers, to friends, to lovers in a matter of months and bonnie was completely head over heels. bonnie and holly married before they graduated and ended starting their internships in the same hospital, their lives were truly perfect.
after a couple of years, bonnie and holly adopted twin babies, lola and francesca and life became a little hectic but perfect still nonetheless. when bonnie and holly were both thirty five, they were considering renewing their vows so their children could be there and all of their found family too.
it was the night before the vow renewal when bonnie got a call from one of her co-workers, something about holly and an accident and that she needed to come fast. everything after that point was a blur, the official time of death, the days that followed, the funeral, bonnie barely remembers any of it. holly’s sister took care of the children for a few weeks and bonnie slept and cried and slept some more. her heart well and truly broken.
it’s been several years now and bonnie has barely healed, she gets by for her daughters but she isn’t at all happy. after everything happened, bonnie moved to a different hospital, seattle grace mercy west and even there, she couldn’t escape the stares from people who knew what happened, others who had transferred from the same hospital. bonnie is a general surgeon and sometimes she really finds it difficult seeing patients who have ended up in the same way that her wife did.

Tristan Taormino, My Father’s Eyes, from His Hands, His Tools, His Sex, His Dress: Lesbian Writers On Their Fathers, edited by Catherine Reid, and Holly K. Iglesias, Alice Street Editions, 2001:
["When I was fifteen, I spent the whole summer at my dad's, and my dad happened to live in Provincetown. I got my first job that summer, working at a leather shop, and spent my free time hanging out with drag queens and being crushed out on a dyke bike messenger named Nina. I remember grinning a lot whenever she made deliveries to our store. She had muscles and jet black hair and looked like a tough tomboy all grown up. It never occurred to me that my friends back home on Long Island weren't having a summer like mine. The summer when I wore perfume for the first time, and a transvestite named Lola helped me choose it— it was her favorite scent and I loved the way she smelled, like spiced apples and vanilla. It was a summer of lesbian potluck dinners and five o'clock tea dances at the Boatslip.
It was a summer of walking down Commercial Street hand in hand with my father. In my memories, we are dressed in some hip outfits on our way to see Jimmy James at the Pilgrim House. Jimmy James was a performer my dad was close friends with who impersonated Marilyn Monroe. They called it "female impersonation" but it was really more than that. Jimmy was the most exciting, most glamorous person I knew. Unlike the tired queens with the cheap shiny dresses who couldn't even lip sync very well, Jimmy sang Marilyn's songs and talked to the audience in Marilyn's voice. And his nightly transformation was magical. When I saw him during the day, he was always cute and perky and witty. When he got himself in that peach-pink sequined dress and blond wig and diamond bracelets, he embodied her. She was gorgeous and sexy and naughty and brash, and I wanted to be her. Not the Marilyn I'd seen in All About Eve with my dad, not the Marilyn on posters and t-shirts everywhere. I wanted to be the Marilyn that Jimmy was.
I also spent the summer watching my dad cruise other men on Commercial Street. He'd stop to flirt with some guy or another on the way. I can see him moving his hands a lot when he talked, fingering a guy across the ribcage, looking him right in the eye. I can see why men fell in love with him. It never felt that strange to see him with men, and even that first summer in P-Town, no one told me my dad was gay. They just assumed I knew.
I remember sitting at his kitchen table one afternoon with the younger brother of one of my father's friends. His name was John, but everyone called him Boomer, and his brother was a gay priest. "So, what do you think about your father being gay?" Boomer asked matter-of-factly.
It all came together at that moment in my head. Right, my dad is gay. Of course, everything makes sense now. My dad is gay. Because, even through all the male roommates, the absence of any women lovers, his impeccable taste in clothes and decorating, it just didn't occur to me that my father was gay. And I was a pretty savvy fifteen year old. There was never any moment with either of my parents which began, "Honey, I need to tell you something...." But my mother had gay friends whom I adored and it seemed perfectly fine that my dad was gay. Besides, he was not a typical father to begin with, regardless of his sexual identity.
[...] There was a recurring, unspoken ritual my father and I had which is one of my most treasured memories. When I packed for a visit with him, I always brought my best clothes, the hottest outfits, something brand new I bought just for the trip, just for him. The first morning I was there, I headed for the bathroom, showered, primped for a long time, then dressed for him. I emerged from the bathroom, strutted into the kitchen or the living room, and stood there in front of him, posed for a proper look, poised for approval.
Without missing a beat, his eyes followed my body into the center of the room, lit up with glee, and he bellowed in a loud, expressive voice: "You look fabulous!" He'd say how much he loved my dress or ask where I got the shoes, and elaborate on his appreciation. It was my moment to shine, to be the beautiful object to him. It was our moment. I relive those times now with lovers, dressing up, anticipating the moment she will arrive at my door or I will emerge from my bedroom, and she, usually a handsome butch, will survey every inch of me, drink me in with her eyes, smile and say, "You look incredible."]

(tw; self-harm, suicide, child abuse, illegal prostitution, drug addiction, sexual abuse, death)
Selina Calabrese was born to Rex Calabrese and Maria Calabrese with a sister two years older than her named Magdalene Calabrese. When Selina was very young, her mother escaped from Rex, also known as The Lion, leader of the Calabrese Crime Family, and became the husband to Brian Kyle, legally changing all their names to Maria Kyle, Maggie Kyle, and Selina Kyle. Maria had a son with him, Aiden Kyle. Their relationship was not healthy, with Maria being very suicidal and Brian being drunk and abusive. He would often yell at and harm Maria and her kids, and Maria, although she loved her kids, was distant, more often spending time with her cats. One day, Selina came home from school to find her mother dead in the tub, having cut her wrists until she bled out. A year later, Brian died from alcohol poisoning, and Selina called the police, packed her bags and ran away. Maggie and Aiden were taken to the orphanage, and Aiden, being fairly young, was almost immediately adopted by a family, where his name was changed to Aiden Mason. His contact with his half-sisters was cut off, although he would eventually seek them out as an older teen and young adult. Maggie was adopted after a few months, and was raised very religiously. She kept in contact with Selina best she could.
On the streets, Selina would steal food, clothing and other material from grocery stores. She was eventually caught and put in the orphanage. She acted out a lot, causing her to be sent to Juvenile Hall. When she turned age 13, she was sent back to the orphanage. There, she realized the place was embezzling money. To make sure she never told anyone, they put her in a bag and dropped her in a river. Selina managed to escape, and then stole documentary proof of their embezzlement to give to the police, some money for herself, and her own files in hopes of reuniting with her brother or sister. Instead, she found out that Brian was not her birth father, and that her father was an unknown mobster man. Selina continued living on the streets, stealing food and jewelry to meet her own, as the money she stole would not last forever. She would be taken in by an old thief gang leader named Mama Fortuna, who treated the kids under her care like slaves. Eventually, Selina would run away with a friend from the gang named Sylvia. They could not survive on their own and always had a shortage of money, and Sylvia took up prostitution to support them both, and grew to hate Selina for it. They parted ways.
When Selina was 17, she began illegally working as a prostitute under an abusive pimp named Stan. She stumbled upon a 13-year-old Holly Robinson who was being sexually abused by a cop. Selina beat the cop up, inspiring Holly who said that was the first time anybody had shown her she could fight back. The two became roommates. To pay for living expenses and food, Selina continued stealing, and Holly eventually became an illegal prostitute too when she was 16, despite Selina being against it. Her underage status resulted in Stan getting into a fight with a drifter, who, unbeknownst to them, was Bruce Wayne in disguise. A few weeks later, Holly would wake Selina up to show her Batman, still new and fresh, beating up corrupt police officer and former Commissioner Branden. Selina, inspired by how someone can don a costume and have everyone either be happy or terrified to see him that she can do the same too, would confront and fight Stan about his abuse, officially having her and Holly quit prostitution. She spent money to buy an expensive costume- her first Catwoman costume. She robbed a local store, and one of the security guards called her “Catwoman”, which she liked and chose to be her name. Stan, wanting revenge on Selina and Holly for quitting, kidnaps Maggie. After a few days, Selina locates him, saves her sister, and beats him to death in a rage as Catwoman. Selina informs Maggie of her new persona, who disagrees heavily, especially seeing as she killed a man, but promises to keep quiet.
The police investigate Selina and Holly, and one police officer sexually harasses Holly. Enraged, Selina went out as Catwoman with intent to kill him, but Batman intervened and made her see how her anger blinded her. Terrified she was a danger to Holly, she sent Holly to live in a convent with Maggie, who was a nun (although she would later give up her nunage to marry her husband, Simon Burton). Catwoman would begin her crime life properly, crossing paths with the likes of the Joker, the Riddler, Poison Ivy, and others, and flirting with Batman, of course. While Selina continued on to be a thief as Catwoman for the next few years, Holly felt she did not fit in the convent, and eventually found herself back on the streets. She got addicted to drugs and went back into prostitution.
While Holly was away, Selina temporarily got a new roommate, a young blonde girl nicknamed Arizona who reminded Selina a lot of Holly. She took her under her wing, and Arizona acted like her sidekick for a while, before she eventually found her own feeting and started a life on her own. She still kept close contact with Selina, though.
After five years, a gang leader named Bone killed a close friend of Selina’s named Lola MacIntire, who knew Selina was Catwoman and let her crash at her place after her apartment was destroyed. Bone wanted revenge after Catwoman had stolen from him. This devastated Selina, who viewed it as completely her fault. At Lola’s funeral, Selina encountered her old friend, Gwen Altamont, and the two began working together. Catwoman stole cars for Gwen, and encountered a metahuman thief named Spark while on the job. Catwoman convinces Gwen to let her work with Spark, and the two plan to rob Penguin of the fifth dagger they need to complete a set of valuable knives. Catwoman stakes out at the restaurant Penguin likes to eat at a day before he would be there, which Spark questions why they are doing so a day before. Catwoman notices a young hooker getting tranquilized and dragged into a van. Catwoman leaps into action, Spark soon following. They save the girl, and, after questioning local prostitutes, find out there have been multiple kidnappings and murders like this. Catwoman investigates and plans to defeat the kidnappers. After failing to stop a kidnapper in the act, Catwoman contacts Detective Carlos Alvarez, a detective who has been chasing her tail but that she knows is a genuinely good cop, for help. They track the kidnapper, Matilda Mathis aka Dollhouse, the daughter of Dollmaker, to a mansion. Catwoman fights Dollhouse, but Batman interrupts their fight, allowing both to escape. Catwoman questions her ability to be a vigilante, knowing she’s a better thief.
After those series of murders to other prostitutes, Holly quits being a prostitute and heads to her and Selina’s old apartment. She is pleasantly surprised to find Selina lived there after the destruction of her other apartment, and the two reunited. Holly began working as a spy of sorts for Catwoman, gathering information of what was happening on the streets of East End. Although she eventually stopped taking drugs after living with Selina for a few months, she felt concerned that she was still looking at the world through the eyes of a junkie to gather intel. During this time period, the Scarecrow releases a gas that makes everyone believe they are in a utopia- Gothtopia. There, Selina believed she was Catbird, partner to Batman. Where Batman could see glimpses of reality, Catbird just thought him delusional. While people who could see through the illusion questioned their sanity and committed suicide, Catbird began investigating a criminal named Steeljacket, who was also convinced their reality was an illusion. Steeljacket explained that the suit he was wearing kept him alive and he needed her thievery skills to get him the money to repair it. Catbird helped him, and the familiar adrenaline rush of a robbery made her remember her real identity of Catwoman. After Batman freed the city from Scarecrow’s toxin, Catwoman reminded him of how they shared both a partnership and a true romantic relationship in Gothtopia. Batman denied the extent of his romantic feelings, even though the toxin showed them both what they wanted to see.
A few years later, Black Mask, who held a vendetta against Catwoman, kidnapped her sister Maggie and Simon, killed Simon, and then forced Maggie to eat her husband’s eyes, driving her insane. Black Mask also kidnapped and beat Holly with the help of an old childhood friend of Catwoman, Sylvia. Catwoman kills Black Mask, Holly kills Sylvia, and they save Maggie, who is put in a psychiatric institute. Holly isolated herself and nearly fell back onto old habits. Selina decided Holly needed time to heal outside of Gotham City and needed proper training, so she sent Holly to a rural safehouse where she trained in hand-to-hand combat with Ted Grant. Selina and Slam Bradley, a detective friend of Selina’s, located Holly’s long lost brother Davey, and the two reunited.
Eventually, Black Mask was revived by a Black Lantern, and immediately sought out Maggie, threatening to kill her and anyone else Catwoman cared about. Catwoman, with the help of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, defeated Black Mask again. Maggie escaped, and no longer wanted anything to do with Selina, blaming her for her insane condition and Simon’s death, and believing Selina was possessed by a cat demon. Maggie sought out Sister Agatha to exorcise her sister, but when Maggie saw Agatha’s cat, she snapped and killed Agatha’s cat and then Agatha because she believed Agatha was in league with Selina’s cat demon. Maggie then searched through Agatha’s relics and tools, stumbling upon a supernatural substance in a container that warped Maggie’s sense of reality further. To Maggie, an angel was released and claimed it would help her destroy Selina’s cat demon. Maggie finds Selina and Harley Quinn and attacks them with heightened abilities. Harley refers to Maggie as “Sister Zero”, and then becomes possessed by the “angel”’s influence. Catwoman manages to get through to Harley, confusing her enough to escape Maggie’s control. Selina forces Maggie to escape, who starts to formulate a new plan to save her sister’s soul. The angel told her to team up with Azrael and Crusader during Gotham’s Judgement Day, which she does. Maggie believes she is her sister’s test of faith, which means either Selina will get cleansed of her cat demon, or Maggie will die. But in the end, when Maggie has a chance to end Selina’s life, she can’t bring herself to do it. Maggie ends up back in a psychiatric institute and starts to slowly heal, although sometimes Sister Zero breaks out.
Holly begins a relationship with a girl named Karon, who she moves into the apartment of. She also becomes the supervisor of a group of street kids known as the Alleytown Gang, training them to act like the spies and informants of Catwoman’s network. Unbeknownst to Holly, Selina had grown tired of seeing her role as Catwoman ruin her life over and over. Selina burned her suit, but would be forced to don it again after a woman named Roulette contacted her about a competition between thieves that threatened the lives of children. Catwoman got a new suit and raced to save the lives of the children. After competing in several rounds, she realized that there never were any real children in danger. Roulette had actually been hired by a man named Hunt Stone who wanted any evidence that connected his ancestors to a famous murder stolen and erased. Selina began sabotaging every aspect of her strictly regimented and planned out days, until Roulette was forced to declare her the winner of the Race of Thieves to make her stop. During this time where Selina went missing, Holly acted as Catwoman to keep other criminals at bay.
With Catwoman I back in action, Oracle asks Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn to keep an eye on Vicki Vale, who has evidence on the members of the Batfamily that need to be destroyed. Selina notices an artifact in Vicki’s possession that she had once stolen. It reminds her of the days when Batman used to chase her, and she reminisces on them. Her flashback is interrupted as Harley breaks into the room they were monitoring, wanting to get her hyenas back because they had stolen them from her. Vicki bolts out of the room, and they lose her trail, but Selina managed to get her phone number. She planted a fake call to lead Vicki out of her apartment, allowing Selina to break in and take pictures of her Batwall, which Batman and Oracle needed. Selina reminisces about her crime life.
When a mysterious malefactor came to Gotham with a yearlong plan to ruin Batman’s life, Catwoman began investigating into the turf war between the Penguin and newly returned mobster Carmine Falcone. She was captured by Falcone for causing him grief years ago and he nearly killed her, but Professor Pyg attacked Falcone, having a vendetta against him. Catwoman plans to kill Falcone, who she suspects might be her biological father, but before she can, Batman intervenes. She leaves Falcone and his mob to Batman, but sometime later while trying and failing to stop a deal to sell a baby snow leopard for its fur, a young girl locates Selina. She tells Selina that her father wanted her to attend a meeting in Blackgate Penitentiary. Her real father was Rex Calabrese, the crime boss from whom Falcone had taken power. Selina declined the request at first, but a street kid named Jade came to find her next, informing her the girl before her was killed by gang violence. Selina asked Rex for his guidance in becoming a mob boss herself to keep the mobsters in check from killing any other kids. The leadership of the Calabrese Family and the ownership of the Egyptian Nightclub were passed onto her as the legal heir. Catwoman, wanting to make sure Batman knew she was still on the side of good despite becoming the head of a crime family, told Batman everything she knew about the group of Arkham escapees still on the loose. After she got invited to a secret weapons sale that were actually weapons stolen from Batman’s own supply, Catwoman began to research high bounties in Gotham, and was tipped onto Stephanie Brown. Catwoman kidnapped her without realizing she was the current Batgirl. She was rescued by Batman and the situation was resolved. Soon Batman got captured by Lincoln March, and rioting broke out across the city. Selina forced her people to help prevent the riots while also secretly making strategic thefts to further her causes. During this time, Selina gave up her Catwoman mantle to Eiko Hasigawa, a heir to the rival Hasigawa crime family, and a love interest of Selina’s.
Eiko’s time as Catwoman was short-lived, though, as Eiko and Selina merged the Hasigawa and Calabrese families, leaving Eiko as their leader while Selina went back to her normal life… Sort of. She realized she was pregnant from a one-night stand with Sam Bradley Jr., and Holly Robinson took on the mantle of Catwoman at Selina’s request. Selina made up a fake identity, Irena Dubrovna, to peacefully give birth to her daughter, legally known as Helena Dubrovna. Sam Jr. had died by the time Selina realized she was pregnant, but his father, Slam Bradley, wanted to provide for his new granddaughter. Selina could not resist the thrill of Catwoman, and donned the suit alongside Holly a few times. Unfortunately, Film Freak and Angle Man had deduced where Selina lived after catching the two Catwomen on film, and kidnapped Helena. Selina easily rescued her daughter, and then had Zatanna Zatarra mindwipe the two villains of Selina’s identities. With Batman’s help, she faked “Irena” and Helena’s deaths, putting Helena up for adoption. She asked Zatanna to wipe her mind of knowledge about Helena so she wouldn’t put her in danger again, but Zatanna refused.
After returning to her solo role as Catwoman for nearly a year, Selina allowed herself to be arrested and sent to death row at Arkham Asylum for the murders of over two hundred terrorists. It was her friend, Holly, who had really committed the crime, but she trusted Batman would prove her innocence, therefore saving her and Holly’s lives. Nearly a year later, Helena Wayne, biological daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, from Earth Never-Two passes into Earth Never-One and gets trapped. Helena meets this world’s Selina Kyle. The two become close, with Helena still mourning the death of her mother in her universe and Selina missing her daughter. Selina was worried that being too close to her alternate universe daughter might lead her to the same fate as her Helena Kyle, but this Helena was an experienced adult who had lived through an Apokoliptian war. She was a capable vigilante who could hold her own perhaps even better than Selina herself, and Selina felt her concerns fade away. After another year passes, Selina asks if she can adopt Helena Wayne, despite Helena being 21-years-old. Helena, surprised, agrees. Almost a year after that, Bruce proposes to Selina and she accepts, becoming his wife.
Selina Kyle is, in general, highly flirtatious, seductive, and willing to use her looks and her charms to get what she wants- in fact she’s even proud of it. She’s also, much like her namesake, graceful, sly and light-footed, known as one of the greatest thieves out there. Despite her past of being an abused victim, she stands with her head high since she first donned the Catwoman suit (it can be quite enconfidating, that anonymity). She was never one to sit back and let herself or others get abused, and she sympathizes heavily with abused children, young women and sex workers especially. While her career as Catwoman started out to support herself and her friends, it eventually became an addictive adrenaline rush she couldn’t give up. Even though she’s ‘reformed’, she still has sticky fingers and loves the thrill of getting away with small robberies, especially when her husband is the Batman. She enjoys getting under his skin. She isn’t too big on black and white morality, instead choosing to do whatever is necessary for the situation. She’s not ‘above’ killing, but she’s no homicidal murderer, and it’s never her first option, although attacking her loved ones is a sure way to push her closer to the edge. Although admittedly in her earlier days, the empowerment of being Catwoman got to her head, and she let rage cloud her judgement, leading to her being more willing to brutally harm and kill. She’s very willing to take risks, enjoying the danger even, and she’s incredibly stubborn and persistent. She never had much of a villainous ego, nor does she have a superhero complex. She walks the line between the both with confidence, never worrying about being in the gray. Sometimes it ticks her off when Bruce and others think she should commit completely to one or the other, when she’s perfectly fine where she is.
Reblogs appreciated! Stay tuned for the finished project, which is this... but for every Batfam member ever

What Humans Are Doing To Pepe Le Pew, Is Added To My Semi-Misanthrope
okay I don’t think I wanted to believe it, but I’m still in the middle of watching the video this video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUpm9M45O_s
I’m watching it on the Xbox In the living room, but I just had to pause it and sign on to tumblr to talk about my feelings.
I was watching some movies before that,
that has a crossover of live action and animation.
I love movies that has crossovers of the real world and cartoon world.
even if Pepe comes on a bit strong to women, maybe both toon and non-toon.
he isn’t as bad as some humans in real life, who have done far worse.
and if it is true that Johnny Bravo will be next, then I will have another thing to add to my Semi-Misanthropy.
I still like humanity, just not when they do stupid and insensitive disgusting things like what they are trying to do to Pepe Le Pew.
lucky there are some humans that know better and those are the ones that I still don’t find disgusting and doing that disgusting act on Pepe.
who by the way is a TOON, not a human.
even if he and some toons like him are “human on the inside”
they are Anthropomorphic.
even if some years decades back, there were such offensive cartoons
that are known as the Banned Cartoons.
but you can’t just mix them in with toons like Pepe Le Pew or even Johnny Bravo.
if the cartoon Johnny Bravo gets hurt in anyway by those so called women,
who think they are helping women by cancelling Johnny Bravo,
their not, and Johnny Bravo might be many things, but at least he doesn’t try to “hurt” women like most attackers do in real life.
yeah both Pepe and Bravo flirt, and kiss the toon females in their cartoons,
BUT they do not cross the line into what some disgusting humans do in real life.
so don’t go and blame those self proclaim gift to women/adorkable toon romeos, for how some humans act in real life.
also please read this too -->  https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/movies/pep-le-pew-scene-removed-space-jam-sequel-actor-says-n1260282
but make sure to watch the video link first.
I have it on pause right now, and I’m still watching it, and I plan to check out the other videos that talk about what is happening to Pepe Le Pew.
then after that, I might just play Bendy And The Ink Machine.
if they wanted to change Pepe, they could of had Pepe end up in some kind of scene where he sings about how he only has eyes for Penelope,
and him ending up not flirting with every pretty face after they started to meet up again, and Pepe gets the realization that he is truly in love with Penelope.
but instead of doing that, they just decide to cut him out.
my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with my heritage,
like my 23rd Great-Grandfather Philip being from France,
and well he was a very important person back in his time.
but like I said, my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with one of my heritages.
Pepe deserves better, he is a Toon that should have some rights,
even if he and other toons are fictional, he shouldn’t be cut out of the movie.
and it seems Warner Bros wont have Pepe appear in anymore future projects
even if Penelope got a restraining order on Pepe,
for him touching others without their consent, it doesn’t mean he did what most humans have done in real life.
touching, could imply the kissing and touching of the arm or hugging,
not the forbidden zone, he ain’t No Holli Would.
if we want toons to be modernize, don’t just kill them off.
in one of the Looney Tunes Shows, where that new character Tina appeared in,
who I happen to like has Daffy’s new love interest.
Speedy ran his own restaurant and even had a dance studio where he taught other people dancing, he did thought Bugs was a real lady when Bugs was in disguise.
and Pepe he was helping plan Lola and Bugs’s wedding, and he was apparently married many times himself.
yes I can agree that Pepe can be a bit forceful in his smitten affections,
as well as him not being able to take a no for a answer.
plus if you watched any re-run of his cartoons,
you will see that he gets his karma by the shoe being on the other foot,
and he becomes the scared and running away from the lovesick female cat.
so how come no one is fighting for Pepe when he ends up being the one who tries to get away from the lovesick female...?
he wasn’t the only one who locked the door so the one he was trying to chase after couldn’t escape.
if you watch one of the re-run cartoons that has that episode,
it is the female cat who locks the door so Pepe couldn’t escape.
so how come Pepe when he ends up in the shoes/place of the females he tries to win the love of (even if it is in the wrong way) he doesn’t get people who tell him it’s okay, and he isn’t the only guy who went through such a terrible thing?
I don’t believe that Looney Tunes would go so far in their show of aggressive affection.
Pepe and Johnny might be many things, like not being able to take a No,
and tend to hug or kiss gals without consent,
but they are not the “R” word.
if toons have to get modernize, they shouldn’t be hurt like how Pepe is being hurt right now.
some cartoons aren’t for kids, and it should be the parents or guardians responsibility to keep the kids from seeing mature cartoons, or some mature live action/cartoon crossover type movies with mature themes in them,
until they are the proper ages to watch them.
I also want to say that I hope that someday the Cartoon Network’s name
is changed to “Warnertoon Network” because technically the Cartoon Network is linked to Warner Bros.
there is a old short, that is even shown on Youtube,
that shows Johnny Bravo having some form of attraction to Samurai Jack.
even if it could show some form of proof that Johnny isn’t as hetero as he appears in his cartoons, and his interaction with Jack shows that he might be either bi or pan, but not realize it.
it might not truly stop Johnny being the next victim.
I am not a feminist or feminism, even if there are some positive groups that are still fighting for women and girls rights.
I rather be a part of a Androgyny side, it could still fight for Feminine.
but it can be a group for both Female, Male, Andro-Agender, Gyno-Agender, Agender, any form of Binary and Non-Binary.
yes there can still be jerk guys who still think girls are beneath them.
but a guy should only feel that way, if the said girls are being sexist jerks,
and the same goes for girls who are treated the same way, if a guy is being a sexist jerk, then try not to give them power to treat you that way.
even if I know there can be good people in this world,
like friends, family and others.
I can’t agree with what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,
I feel it is wrong and if they have to change Pepe for the modern times,
it should show in Space Jam 2 Movie, that after meeting with Penelope again,
and he finds himself not hitting on other females, because he comes to the realization that he is truly in love with her,
and doesn’t want anyone else but her.
characters do evolve and change over time,
some still stay the same but can still be a bit different.
if they did have a musical in Space Jam 2,
it would have Pepe Le Pew singing about how much he loves Penelope,
and how he no longer wants to chase any other girl
but her from now on.
even if it is still good to fight for rights for women, but Pepe isn’t a monster.
he might kiss and hug without consent, but he would NEVER cross the line.
even if some cartoon episodes might give the misinterpretation he would.
also even if I do have a Semi-Androphobia, I know that not all guys are bad or dangerous, and some can be safe to be around.
plus there can be some guys who have Gynophobia,
which could be caused by different reasons,
one of which could have to do with being a victim of unwanted forbidden zone advances.
and even Mr. Max Landis did do such a disgusting thing,
Pepe should not be some form of scapegoat,
or be blamed for that disgusting human’s actions.
like I said, Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo might be many things,
but they would NEVER cross the line,
and do what that Shisno Landis  did.
no matter what bio-sex or gender identity you are,
if you believe that Pepe is being wrong, that I hope you can agree that what is happening to him isn’t right.
Pepe might think he can flirt or hug and kiss other gals without their consent,
and think they will fall for him, but he would never do what that Shisno did.
Shisno is of course from Red Vs Blue, and is what A.I. and Robots
call Humans, or in other words, what Organics are called.
even if Tali from Mass Effect does have her positive side,
and she does end up forming some type of friendship with Legion in one of the game timelines.
when she doesn’t form a friendship with Legion or starts to finally realize
that her people did the geth wrong.
she stays a dirty dirty shisno.
at least some quarians didn’t try to destroy the geth,
and wanted to help them, those quarians that did try to help the geth,
aren’t dirty shisno. but those quarians in the past were met with a bad end when they did try to help and protect the geth.
even if I haven’t been able to beat the Mass Effect 3 yet,
I know the info from reading or watching clips about it.
I hope that someone makes a petition to save Pepe and put him back in the Space Jam 2 Movie, and maybe have Pepe realize he wants no other woman in his life but Penelope, maybe even have Penelope realize the same thing too.
I know that there is a possibility by the time the movie is fully finished,
Pepe might still be out of it, which isn’t fair and should be fixed.
Pepe is a bit aggressive in his flirting, but he isn’t a monster like some humans are in real life.
if ya want to change Pepe a bit, to make him less how he was in his older cartoons, then make it so that he at least gets a slap or takes one No for answer.
Pepe acting the way he does, could mirror how Johnny Bravo acts, but a big differently.
yes Pepe is suppose to be French, but who he is wouldn’t have to do with his heritage, he is flirty and can take his flirting in the wrong direction.
but he is not a monster who would hurt the females he tries to win the love of,
if someone says that in some non-canon work that has Pepe in it,
it would NOT be canon to the canon Pepe.
Pepe being the way he is, would have to do with the person he is on the inside,
not because of where he comes from.
if we want to save Pepe Le Pew, then how he ends up chasing women,
can be changed a bit when he finally take the first or few signs of no,
as  sign that he needs to stop, or his flirting can be played down a bit,
so it doesn’t get misinterpreted as being something that would cross the line to the forbidden zone.
I know that not everyone will see reason or try to understand that Pepe Le Pew,
might be a bit aggressive when he falls in love, or becomes attracted to someone that he believes he is in love with, but really he might not of truly have fallen in love before.
Pepe could have have his character developed a bit more
so he doesn’t get misinterpreted as one of the dangerous men/women that are seen in real life.
yes I am counting the women too, because there are some who are just as bad as men.
and yes as the title shows, what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,
is something that I have mentally added to my reasons to dislike humanity.
even if I still have some love for humanity,
it is what Pepe Le Pew that I just can’t stand.
if Pepe has to get rebooted to save him from the metaphorical dip,
which is because of the different reasons he is cut from the Space Jam 2 Movie, then I would be for Pepe’s character being rebooted if it saves him.
if they do reboot him a bit, but still have him be a flirt, they could make it so that he does take a No for answer, but would just do friendly flirts from time to time
but not cross the uncomfortable line.
they could even have his Nationally Changed a bit,
like him being American, but having French heritage.
I mean I am from America, but I do have French heritage,
sadly I can’t speak the language and might only know a few words.
I got a few other different heritages too...
but I strongly believe that Pepe Henri Le Pew, deserves better.
and if rebooting him saves him from being no longer used by a Warner Brothers and keeps humans from misinterpreting him, because of how he is as a person on the inside, then I am for him rebooting him if it means he can be back on the Space Jam 2 Movie.
how some people act wouldn’t have to do with where they come from,
it would have to do with the person they are on the inside.
and I hope some of you understand that and don’t misunderstand.
I want to believe there can be hope for Pepe Henri Le Pew,
that if he does end up back in the movie, those who work on the movie
will point out they will change Pepe a bit, and make it so that he doesn’t flirt the same way he had done in the past, and will fall in love in the movie and no longer have eyes on anyone but who he has fallen for.
once more Pepe should not be blamed for what some shisno guy did,
and if he is causing misunderstandings of any kind,
just reboot him and make it so he flirts but he does take a no, and even does friendly flirts without crossing the line of no touching like hugging or kisses without the consent.
consent is very important, and I still think Pepe’s old cartoon where in the end
he ends up being the one who becomes the runner while the female cat ends up chasing him, should be mention.
Pepe might be the type that is desperate for romantic love but never truly fell in love and only felt attraction.
and he just goes about it the wrong way, but if he never truly crossed the forbidden zone line, that would mean that Pepe would have some form of
Moral Compass where he knows there are some actions he would not take to try to win the heart of those he chases.
he might cross the line of hugging and kissing and unwanted cuddles,
but I don’t believe he would cross to the forbidden zone line, where it goes beyond hugs, kisses and cuddles.
Put Pepe Le Pew back in the Space Jam 2 Movie,
but make sure there is info saying that his character will be changed a bit,
to be less aggressive in his flirting, and he has learn to take No for answer,
and his flirting has transformed into friendly flirting, and he no longer kisses or hugs a woman without her consent.
I can only hope some other fans of Looney Tunes, feel the same and will speak out about it.
if they go after Fifi too, then that would be another line crossed,
yeah she can be a bit aggressive when chasing after boys,
but she does seem to have a love interest in Hampton, who likes her back.
but she wouldn’t cross the line either.
I need to grab something to eat, I’m still gonna finish watching that video.
once more even though I am Semi-Misanthrope,
I still have humans that I still care about and I know that not all humans
are the same and wouldn’t just place the blame solely on Pepe.
and I really do hope he lets back in the movie before it’s fully finished,
and his character gets changed a little bit, so he comes off as a friendly flirt
that has learn to take No for answer.
Pepe and Johnny might take their flirting over the line at times,
but they would never cross the gross and physically harmful line,
where it would cause the person to become scared of either a man or woman that did harm to them.
the sooner humans learn this, I think the better it will be for all toonkind in the cartoons we love, both in shows, movies, video games and comics.
even if they are just fictional, even those like Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo,
should have some form of justice.
see ya later and stay safe everybody.
I’m gonna go grab something to eat now, and continue watching that video
that talks about Pepe Le Pew.

*    headcanon   :       ft.   the wedding.
Tumblr media
𝙎𝙃𝙀 𝙃𝘼𝘿 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝘼𝙔𝙄𝙉𝙂   ' 𝙄 𝘿𝙊. '    she wouldn’t have bothered moving into the manor,   stealing a dress,   spending the hours leading up perfecting every little detail as she got ready otherwise.    she wouldn’t have been rife with frazzled nerves if she didn’t want it with all her heart.    she wouldn’t have bothered pulling holly    —    her best friend    —    out of hiding for anything less than the most important moment of her life.    selina wanted it.    more than she’s ever wanted any massive diamond or priceless cat statue.    more than she’s wanted a pretty dress,   a flashy motorcycle,   an overflowing bank account.
but in the end it’s the nerves that are the problem.    selina thrives off   spontaneity.    when bruce first asks the question,   and the second,   it’s easy to let her heart lead.    she wants it.    and she can’t do anything but say   yes  to something she wants.    maybe a wedding is not something selina’s thought about.    not something she ever thought in the cards for her,   but when bruce asks,   it becomes something in her reach.    too delightfully close not to reach out and   snatch it.    and in the moments leading up,   it’s all happiness and excitement and disbelief.    things she can ride on in the midst of nightly forages into the dark,   beating on bad guys.    feelings to put a smile on her face when they at last crawl into bed at dawn,   his warmth something so rarely obtained before and now,   it’s   all hers   and she can’t resist basking in it like a cat in an open window on a summer’s day.
it’s the night of the   nerves   come into play.    the   doubts    she can’t ever rid herself of.    she can ignore them somewhat,   as she gets ready.    pretend she doesn’t think every little wrong fold in her dress,   every accidental smudge of her lipstick,   every stray hair is some sort of bad omen.    some   warning   sign against going into something she doesn’t deserve.    but the waiting after...    that’s   what gets her.    selina has nothing to do but sit and wait until it’s time to head to the rooftop.    and holly’s supportive.    all bright,   excited smiles in a way selina hasn’t seen in too long.    it reminds her that holly    —    one of the few friends she has who hasn’t   died   for daring to associate with a criminal like her    —    has spent too long in hiding for a murder she didn’t commit.    that holly’s nearly lost her life and happiness a hundred times over because of the life she’s gotten holly into.
it reminds selina of lola,   tied up and shot in the head.    of maggie,   kidnapped and tortured until she’s nothing but an empty shell of what she once was.    of the little kid she saved from the joker’s clutches who still can’t catch a break.    of too many others who’ve gotten screwed over time and time again.    because she’s a   black cat,   and once one crosses your path...
selina knows it’s stupid to think someone could get to bruce because of her.    to take him out.    he’s tough.    the strongest person she knows,   and being with her won’t change that.    it won’t take away the drive,   the endless training,   the fire of justice that burns inside of him.    but that’s the very problem.    he stands for the   good   in gotham.    and she’s never called herself anything but a   criminal.    how easily would it go over with those he loved,   with   the world   to know their   caped crusader   married a thief ?    a murderer ?    would they trust him still ?    was it right to push that risk for the happiness   she   wanted ?    bruce had more than her,   after all.    damian,   alfred,   dick,   barbara,   tim,   jason.    people he loved,   who surely gave him their own special brands of happiness.    what could she offer him,   in the long run,   other than more trouble ?    the way it’s   always   been between them.
the drive to the rooftop does it.    lets all those thoughts and doubts spin around in her head,   until she’s clutching at her hair and fighting back sobs.    holly practically crashing in the scramble to check if selina’s all right.    she isn’t.    of course she isn’t.    it only takes those few moments.    minutes worth of driving through the darkened city still hushed with sleep to send her mind spiraling.    to tell her she can’t do it.    that she   shouldn’t   do it.    her chances at happiness have never gone anywhere other than downhill,   from failed homes to murdered friends,   dragging anyone involved with her,   and how can this be any different ?   she’s a thief,   and she’s selfish...    but she can’t be now.    not with this.    not for   him.
and that’s all it takes for her to choke out a demand to holly to turn the car around.    to pack up her clothes and drag holly with her to the airport.    to let the demons roam her mind until they become a static buzz and she’s on autopilot,   running as far as she can,   because it’s better than letting some disaster strike.   than letting everything snowball that hurts him worse later down the line.    and something   always   happens,   so it’s better to nip things in the bud before it does.    she’s doing them both a favour,   in the long run.    no matter how much her chest aches and her throat tightens the second she’s sitting on a plane set for take off.
it isn’t until she’s touched down in some distant airport that it all sets in,   and she’s stuck sobbing in some empty,   bathroom stall.    because that’s another shot at happiness down the drain,   and this time,   all she has to blame is her own,   screwed up self.

Book Haul 2019
Tumblr media
This is the first time I will be sharing a book haul! (And it is also the first time I’ve bought so many books.) This book haul was made possible by the National Bookstore Super Summer Sale held last March 29 – April 14, 2019. There were so many to choose from that I can barely think. I also had some books bought at Booksale because, why not? A book for a nice bargain after all.
It all started with:
1. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I got this on March 27 (sale’s not yet happening) at NBS SM City Naga. I’ve recently just finished reading this. It’s lovely and Cardan is my babe.
Next ones are what my sister bought after informing her of a massive sale happening. I have decided to include it here since we put our books in the same place anyway.
Let’s start with what she bought on April 2 at NBS Pacific Mall Legazpi.
2. There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. I have put this on-hold for now because the flow of the story is too slow for me. Although, this has such an interesting plot.
3. A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray. We have already read this one but really, we just want a physical copy. This has a unique plot and I remember borrowing my friend’s copy of the book just so I can read it.
4. Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy. Haven’t read this yet but, my sister has. It’s interesting.
5. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. This has long been on my to-read but then I still don’t have the energy to do so. It’s my sister’s fave book.
And then she decided to go to another branch, at NBS Ayala Malls Legazpi.
6. A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares by Krystal Sutherland. My sister’s recently read this one. She said she liked it.
7. Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray. Read this and it was so amazing. Unfortunately, the last book was nowhere to be found. It’s our only missing copy.
The haul doesn’t stop there. She went back on April 4 at NBS Pacific Mall Legazpi.
8. Legend by Marie Lu. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. June is number one on my list of badass female leads.
9. Prodigy by Marie Lu. Of course, this one is just as great as the first. This completes our collection since we already have Champion and we’re just waiting for Rebel.
Then Kate, my sister decided to go to another branch, NBS SM City Legazpi.
10. I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. I haven’t read this yet and so is my sister. So let’s just hope it’s worth it.
This next book, she bought at Booksale SM City Legazpi.
11. All Fall Down by Ally Carter. The first book of the Embassy Row series. I’ve read this already and wanting a physical copy is always a requirement. I love it so much. I love the mystery, the pain, the love and the actions involved in this. Ally Carter is one of my fave authors.
Of course, I do not want to miss the chance to experience the sale so I went there on April 5, my sister’s graduation. It was such a long event under the scorching heat of the sun, so we went to the mall instead and my first stop was NBS at Pacific Mall Legazpi.
12. The Young Elites by Marie Lu. I love this. The characters have this powers and gods are involved. I actually bought this as a gift for my bestfriend who also just graduated college. She has the last two books so I gave her this as a gift.
13. The Rose Society by Marie Lu.
14. The Midnight Star by Marie Lu. I had to go back to the store after eating some burgers for the second and third book.
15. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I saw this on EpicReads and my interest in reading it is so high.
16. One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake.
17. Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake.
18. The Wicked King by Holly Black. This was not on sale, but I had to have the second book because Cardan is love.
19. Warcross by Marie Lu. This is one of the most amazing and unique books ever and I got to have a copy.
20. Wildcard by Marie Lu.
21. Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray. Since it’s my sister’s graduation, I had to buy a gift. And this is the perfect one.
22. Invisible Ghosts by Robyn Schneider. Robyn Schneider is a fave. This is a gift for my other sister, Cheenee. She finished Grade 11 with Honors.
With that, maybe we had a thought that that’s enough. But of course, it’s not. After Kate’s graduation, she went back to the same store on April 10 under my orders (and money).
23. The Elite by Kiera Cass. I totally loved this book. Unfortunately, no book 1.
24. The Heir by Kiera Cass. And no book 3 and 5 either.
25. Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I saw this book while watching a book vlog by Hailey in Bookland. And since then, I became interested. I haven’t read this yet but, soon.
As I’ve said, I had to have a copy of my own. So my sister bought this next book at NBS Gregorian Mall, Legazpi City.
26. The Young Elites by Marie Lu. I needed a copy of my own.
All of these books are on my sister’s vlog, here’s a link.
And since we went to the mall after a pilgrimage with the family, not to mention an early reservation for Avengers: Endgame, we stopped by NBS SM City Naga on April 14 (last day of the sale). This is no longer included in my sister’s vlog.
27. Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland. Kate bought this and I’ve got no idea what it’s about.
28. Puddin’ by Julie Murphy. The sequel to Dumplin’. My sister didn’t know that it has a book two so when she saw this, she immediately put it in the basket.
29. Forest of A Thousand Lanterns by Julie C. Dao. I am currently reading this one. I saw this at the same time with Heartless on a book vlog by Hailey in Bookland. I saw it on the shelf and now I have it.
30. Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu. When it’s Marie Lu, it’s good. I really wanted this.
31. Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas. I have no idea what it’s about but, hell! I want to read it.
Lastly, I bought these babies yesterday, April 16, because it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. I found it on Booksale at SM City Legazpi.
32. The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis
33. The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis
34. Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis
35. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis
I guess that’s a lot of books really. A massive thanks to National Bookstore for that beautiful warehouse sale and for Booksale for being kind to my wallet all the time.
Total money spent for this book haul, Php 7,457.00.

Two head canons for your character you haven't told anyone:
Danny is fairly clingy emotionally and physically. Physically she feels the need to be holding someone or even just barely touching them if they're in a relationship. Even when she sleeps she clings onto a pillow or her stuffed wolf. It's fairly obvious that she's very protective of the people she loves, but once she becomes fond of a person she feels protective over them. She always feels that she needs to be in a room with someone, even if they're both quiet and not even really interacting. Part of it is in combination of being (or having been if post V3) a werewolf, her need to be around people, and her fear of abandonment.
Danny has been expelled from a couple of schools. Yes, the child who has had pretty much perfect grades since, forever, had been expelled before. It's not something she really cares to admit, but she had been expelled from at least three high schools because she had gotten into a fight. She had only got involved in the altercation while standing up for a fellow student, but since it was still considered fighting, she was still expelled from the school. Not fully some of her proudest moments, but she never let it discourage her for doing what's right. Though she'd never admit that she had been expelled.
Three things your character enjoys doing in their free time:
Reading. Books have always been Danny's first love and often the only stable thing she had while being shuffled from foster home to foster home. She was always a fan of the classics but also found a home in fantasy and Greek mythology.
Running. While Danny would have loved to be a ice hockey star, running was something she could do no matter where her new foster home was. When she couldn't play hockey, she would always end up on the track team or just make time to run. It was a habit she carried into college and even now. It's always her preferred way of thinking through things and the only time she likes to really be alone.
Crochet. Weirdly enough Danny loves to crochet and is actually very good at it. It’s calming to her in a way where she doesn’t have to go outside and shoot an arrow at things (which is another personal favorite pass time for her). She  also loves having the ability to make something with her own hands. Plus its a skill where she doesn’t have to fully pay attention to when she gets into the zone.
Seven people that your character likes/loves
Laura Hollis
Wilson Kirsch
 Melanippe Callis
Carmilla Karnstein
Lola Perry
LaFontaine
Elsie
Two things your character regrets
Not going back and fighting with the gang after she broke free of the Dean. Choosing to run away instead of fighting has been and always will be something Danny regrets. She knew she should have helped, but between the manipulation of the Dean and the guilt that she had betrayed her friends she felt she had no choice but to run. She was exhausted and broken. Part of her also feared that if she had gone with Laura and the others, that it would have been too easy for the Dean to get back into her mind, turning her against them again.
Over stepping her place with Laura. Danny fights with herself on this often. She regrets her word choice and acting more like a parent over a helpless child towards Laura instead of the friend - and at the time possibly something more- she was suppose to be and she regrets never actually apologizing to her for what she said and possibly jeopardizing even having a friendship with her. She knows she can’t help her feelings and she isn’t sorry for caring, but she knows that she shouldn’t have said what she did. Laura was her own person and while she feared the possibility of losing her, she had no right to tell her what to do.
Two phobias your character has
Heights. Yes, the 6'2" child is afraid of heights. She can't stand being more than like six feet off the ground. Ferris wheels? Cliffs? She'll pass. And don’t even think about trying to getting her on an airplane. She would rather die again then ever get on one of those death traps. Most of this stems from when she was eight and her foster sibling dared climb up on the roof. So of course she did and when trying to find a way to get back down, she slipped on a loose shingle and fell off, breaking her arm and getting a pretty serious concussion.
Abandonment. All her life she had felt abandoned by her parents and she never felt as though she had a stable foundation of people in her life and when she finally gets that stable foundation in coming to Silas, she's always deathly afraid that they'll be taken or leave her again. The fact that she has a need to be around people and is clingy also plays heavily into this fear of losing people she cares about and people who care about her.
Thunderstorms (I know it says two, but I don't have many fears for Danny, but these three have always been the biggest). This mostly is an irrational fear that she has no explanation for. But it only worsens when she gets bitten by a werewolf her first week at Silas and that's more from sensitive ears and the thunder being too loud but also still comes from her irrational fear of storms.

Next Chapter     Masterpost
Turns out I didn’t have to worry. I was sitting on the shaded steps outside of the power plant when I heard a whistle. I looked back and beamed.
“Cindy!”
“Hey girl. What’s up?”
“Waiting on the boys. Holly called for backup.” she nodded as she came closer.
“I heard. Kind of why I came running.” She sat down next to me and smiled.
“Hope you don’t mind. Pawpaw needed the truck so I had to take Bella.” I stopped then.
“Wait….” She smiled and flashed my spare key. I forgot I gave that to her. I laughed then and she smiled.
“Gave her a look over while you were gone. She should be good for a long while. Those empire techs knew what they were doing.” I stopped then.
“Who told you…?”
“The boys. Ignis was the quietest. I don’t think he likes you hanging around them too much.”
“I know he doesn’t…. Noctis just told me why…. He had a crush on me.” Cindy cringed then and I nodded.
“Kind of just crushed it…. Cus the guy that the boys keep running into…” I could feel the blush then.
“We’re dating….” She looked over stunned and I covered my face.
“You…. You're dating!? Finally!”
“Oh shut it!!! You know damn well why I haven't before now!” She started laughing then and I groaned covering my face. At least till I heard the gate open. We both straightened up and I soon ran.
“Gladio!!” He looked up and smiled.
“Hey! Sup?”
“Nothing much. Where the hell you’ve been?” He chuckled then.
“Long story. It was worth it tho.” I nodded and soon the boys started talking. I snuck away and headed for my jeep. They had it together now that gladio was home.
I got home about an hour later and just crashed on the couch. I was worn out and I didn’t feel like walking back to my bedroom. My boots were waiting by the door drying out and I just hit the couch. My phone was still dead silent but I didn’t mind. I got up long enough to scrub off some of the swampy mess on my legs and wash out my hair before I went back to the couch and turned on my small tv. I turned on some old movie and just settled down. I lost track of time while my eyes were closed. I only opened them when it started going nuts vibrating. I slid it over to answer without looking at the name.
“Hello?”
“Oh six…. I woke you.” I stopped then.
“Wait…. Ardyn?” I rubbed my eye a bit then as he chuckled.
“Yes. you ok?”
“I guess… Fuck what time is it?”
“Around seven at night. I’ve been trying to text but you never answered… Should have known you were asleep.” I laughed a bit then.
“Yeah maybe…. I’m lousy at keeping in contact though. I could have just been ignoring my phone as I clean. I’ve done that… Or reading. I do love my books.”
“Oh? Interesting…. At least you can sleep now though.”
“Yeah… I’m kind of shocked. Been a while since I’ve passed out like this…” I smiled then stretching slightly.
“Maybe getting that weight off me made it easier… I’m a lot more relaxed now…” I got up then turning on a lamp close by. It was already dark out. My tv was still on as well but I didn’t even check it.
“You too? Well I suppose that’s a good side effect.... I wonder how well you’d sleep if I was there though.” I laughed then getting into my kitchen. I kept this part of my house sparkling. I hated a dirty kitchen.
“My, That’s a jump…. But probably pretty fucking well. Wouldn’t need a thick blanket either cus you’re a heater.” I opened my fridge then and got a water out. I heard him laugh then and then pull away from the phone. I couldn't hear what he said.
“Good to know. I’ll remember that for next time hon. Sadly I’ve got to go. A quick meeting before I’m set free. Plans are in motion and apparently need my approval.” He sounded so bored. I laughed then leaning on the fridge then.
“My oh my, is the man of the people bored with his duties?”
“Very funny. I’m tired as well believe it or not. I would like an early day off.” I cackled then and he huffed.
“Go back to sleep Skylar. I’ll see you soon.”
“Alright.  Hope it goes by quick for you, Ardyn… Love you.” It felt a bit odd to say it but It wasn’t a lie. I knew he stopped then before smiling.
“Love you too Dear…. See you soon?”
“Always.” He kissed the phone then making me go red before he hung up. I let my hand fall then as I sighed. I kind of wished he was here with me suddenly.
I didn’t get long to dwell on that. Come sunrise, I was getting leads over text for hunts all over the area. I was the highest ranked hunter they could find for some of these. I organized them all on my gps the best I could before taking off. The only good news is I got to text Ardyn. In between hunts, I’d send him little photos or texts just letting him know how they went or where I was. I even changed his name from cinnabum loser to Ardyn My Love. It made the huge job load a lot easier to deal with honestly and the nightly calls while I camped at havens close by helped even more. I was honestly lying on my back next to the fire looking up at the stars with the phone beside me on speaker when he mentioned it. I hadn’t seen him in over a week now and I was a rank nine hunter now. My friend Dino from Galdin had just asked me today about this new job he had for me which is what I was telling ardyn when he chirped up.
“Wait… you said the emerald was where?”
“Costlemark. It’s old ruins from the first empire. I’ve camped near there to take out some necromancers close by but never went in. It’s labeled as highly dangerous and dave is careful about which hunters go in. He won’t even do it anymore because the last time, he almost didn’t make it out.” I laughed then smiling.
“I’ve always wanted to go!!! The loot in that place is out of this world!” He laughed then.
“I can believe that… I’ve been in there…. Well…. As of…” I heard him pull the phone away as I looked over.
“Five minutes ago.”
“You went alone!?” I rolled over grabbing my phone quickly.
“How are you alive!?”
“Easy. It’s part of my secret.” I stopped then. He hadn’t mentioned his secrets since that night at the vesperpool.
“Ardyn…” I was worried. He had been so closed off about telling me before now.
“I went to make sure we could do it together…. This is where I want to tell you everything…. It’s the closest we can get to….” He trailed off then.
“Ok… Um… when?”
“Can you be here tomorrow night? It only opens at night.” I got up then and scrambled to my map. I looked over it and smiled.
“Easily. I’m only in the next district. I can get there during the day and we can hang out until nightfall if you want.”
“Sounds good to me. Be nice to see the local hangouts.” I laughed then smiling.
“Yeah I can toss you in the lakes and see if you can catch a rare fish or leave you stranded on the arches.” I folded the map then easily. This was going to be fun for sure.
“Oh get real…. You’re scared of heights. You wouldn’t get up there even if I offered you all the gil in lucis.” I gasped then as he started laughing. I just smiled then.
“Yeah ok you got me…. Well good news is that I live about an hour away so if I’m still talking to you after this, we can go chill at my house.”
“Oh? Am I finally going to get to see where you live?”
“Maybe. It’s not much but it’s mine for sure.”
“I’m alright with that. So…. is it a date?” I stopped putting away my things then and looked over at the phone going red.
“Um…. Yeah. I guess so…. Just don’t get me drunk this time ok?”
“I won’t. Not safe to go into costlemark drunk…. Unless you’re me I guess.” I laughed a bit then smiling.
“You promise we’ll be ok?”
“I swear hon. No harm will come to you while you’re with me.”
“I trust you…. Um…. Meet up at the chocobo post?”
“Is that the central location there?”
“Pretty much to me.”
“Alright…. Mind if I see if damien will let me pet him?” I smiled then.
“Oh? Do you have a soft spot for chocobos?”
“Well…. Maybe. It’s been a while. That’s all and he seems friendly enough.” I shook my head then smiling.
“Alright. I’ll text you permission in case wiz asks ok?”
“Thanks hon. See you there around noon?”
“Probably sooner…. Depends on how soon I can get some sleep.”
“I didn’t make you too excited did I?” I stopped then. Was he…?
“No…?” He started laughing then and I growled looking away.
“You jerk! I’m hanging up now!”
“Sleep well love.” He kissed the phone then and I just smiled. I kissed back before hanging up and went to bed smiling. Tomorrow was going to be a lot of fun.
