on my "anti elain/anti elriels are allergic to reading comprehension" tirade; taking the word of nesta (who is literally proven in the same book to be unreliable when it comes to her perspective of elain with her "elain is like a dog" comment that cassian later disproves) on blind faith about how elain would love the spring court or that it was "made for someone like her" simply because it has flowers when, in the first book, we are explicitly told that there is no gardening done in the spring court- which is what elain actually enjoys about flowers, the actual process of gardening and getting her hands dirty. it's like sjm is trying to tell us something about elain and how fundamentally no one in the inner circle (cough, besides azriel, cough) understands her as a person.

okay a bit of a crack theory (like it's literally more of a thought), don't know whether or not someone has said it already (pretty sure someone has)
but i think
nesta might become a high lady (of the dusk court?)?? or a valkyrie queen? because like hear me out
throughout the whole series she's been compared to a queen, even called a queen of queens i belive
and there's also a fact that she refuses to act as one of rhysand's subjects
and from what i remember the valkyries have once had a land of their own and a king
and there's still the illyrian territory which has to be sorted out
so i think what might happen in the next book is that there will be a continuation of the valkyries' journey (through gwynriel's eyes probably) and sorting out the situation in illyria?????
and maybe nessian is going to rule over the valkyries and illyrians?????? and act as close allies to rhys, not subjects?
but it's just a thought

Have you ever thought of running a Feylin week?
It’s crossed my mind once or twice but currently the Eluciens are going THROUGH IT™️ despite Lucien being the most wholesome male character that Sarah seems to apparently like. Meanwhile the Feyre x Tamlin pairing is THE no no ship of the fandom, and arguably the most detested pairing in all bookish spaces, and the one thing the entire fandom agrees on is how much they hate this ship so going by how the Eluciens are being treated, I'd likely be setting myself up for much worse harassment if I tried to run a Feylin week. I also don’t know if I’d even get much participation, because even within my bubble few people really *like* Feylin as much as they simply have a higher-than-usual tolerance for differing opinions. There like 4-6 people on here who actually like Feylin. The inevitable harassment is unlikely to actually be outweighed by a significant amount of new content. The cons simply outweigh the pros of attempting a Feylin week.
#It makes me sad too because the Feysand stans and the elriels and the Gwynriels and the Eluciens can all hold ship weeks#And be flooded with new content and they get to participate in incorrect quotes and fic exchanges but I know better than to try any of that#It’s very alienating from the fandom tbh#Ask#anon#feylin

I have seen worse things in this app, in this fandom. I have seen art of rhysand with his rapist, gwynriel art of them having sex or marrying in the same place she was raped, nesta rape scene, I have seen questionable elucien ones and tamlin with elain being well... a slave to him, couldn't even call that art of her being submissive..
So well, this is something happening for a while, for TWO YEARS now, elriel art being reported when isn't even explicit, or anyone posting elain art and fanfics. Tay is an angel, has always being nice and as far as I remember her art is pretty tame AGAIN compared with some rancid shit I see around here and everywhere acotar-related
So I'm mad lol, I'm very mad and as you guys know I never had respect for gwynriels and eluciens but this truly haves me fuming, this two groups don't give a fuck about elriels/elain stans when something happens to us (have we forgotten the mass online bullying/harassment of elriels when gwynriels started to become a thing? I haven't, they still harass day and night jessdraws and yet most of the acotar fandom as a whole,the one she draws for, haven't listened to her when she complains about it) they never show remorse or try to help or call out their owns, why the hell should i have consideration for them if isn't reciprocated??
Today haves been the last straw to me, gwynriels/eluciens are not people to me, I don't care if highqueenmorrigan has been receiving hate btw that's her and her followers problem, she has been hating elriels and defending any elucien nasty actions since long ago so sorry if I don't give a fuck about their struggles or whatever, good for anyone who does but I'm done with that two groups of people completely and have no sympathy for them

Gwyn is such an inspiration 😇
After all the heartbreak, trauma, suffering, and assault, she remains brave and fierce. She has so much spunk, sass and spirit. She remains optimistic and enthusiastic. A true friend, a hard worker, and such a beacon of hope and light. She literally stepped out of her comfort zone! She has experienced some of the ugliest parts of life, and it is not easy to remain kind and hopeful after that. But SHE HAS and good things have come to her life for it. I’m pretty sure that was the moral you were supposed to get from her story so far but instead some people have twisted it around like snakes in a bind! (too aggressive?)
All these damn ship wars have overshadowed just how f**kin admirable she is beyond the romance! It’s bad form, you guys. I thought we were all about female empowerment now 🥺 So, stop that. Or, for everyone’s goddamn sanity, just walk away. 🤍 ✌🏼

U know what pisses me off the most? The fact that when it comes to tamlin, for a certain part of the fandom, he's only abusive when it suits their situation. Other times? Nope, he's a complete saint who's just misunderstood 🙄😐. They love shipping elain and briar and so many others with him. Especially elain. Because they want elain away from azriel. When it comes to elain, since she threatens their ship, tamlin is the best one for her. You know why? Because flowers and spring. But god forbid, if someone shipped him and Gwyn even as a joke(not that I'd want Gwyn being shipped with that asshole), they'll be like omg how dare you ship Gwyn with an abuser. So shipping elain with him is alright cuz apparently he isn't an abuser then but when it comes to Gwyn, he's an abuser. Neither should be shipped with him. Not Elain not Gwyn. He is an abuser.
