Elriels suggesting that shipping Gwyn with Azriel is disrespectful to real SA victims is without a doubt the worst take I have ever seen in my life lol
“Stop shipping Gwyn with ANY man without her consent”
LMFAO WHAT SHE AINT REAL 😭 how tf do I get her consent?? Do I need a permission slip from SJM??

E/riels brag about how Azriel gave Elain Truth-teller as if she takes it everywhere with herself, polish and sharpen the blade daily and hugs it while she sleeps.
Y'all know she gave it back, right?
Just like she returned the necklace as well.

While this was happening to Elain, this was Lucien's reaction:
Rhys was there, an arm sliding around my waist. “Can we get you anything, Elain?” He spoke with such gentleness I could barely stand it. “I want to go home,” she repeated. I couldn’t ask her—about Lucien. Not now. Not yet. I turned away, fully prepared to bolt and completely fall apart in another room, another section of the House. But Lucien was standing in the doorway. And from the devastation on his face, I knew he’d heard every word. Seen and heard and felt the hollowness and despair radiating from her.
And where was Azriel throughout this time? Why did he choose not to fly up with Feyre and Lucien? Was his discomfort in carrying Lucien more significant than accompanying them?
“I don’t know why you sent those two buffoons”—a narrowed glance toward Mor and Azriel—“to monitor me.” So this was where Azriel had gone—right to the loft. To no doubt spare Mor from enduring Amren Duty alone.
It's ironic that Azriel chose to comfort Mor amid a cranky Amren rather than console a devastated Elain, who longed to return home.
And isn't it quite serendipitous that when Elain voiced her wish to go home, Lucien was already there?

Elain's sister, Feyre, thinking about Lucien: I shook my head, trying not to imagine Elain subject to that … fire. (In response to “Autumn Court males have fire in their blood—and they fuck like it, too.”)
Elain's sister, Nesta, thinking about Azriel: The thought of Cassian pumping into her mouth while Azriel pounded into her from behind, the two of them working her in tandem —
One sister imagines Elain with Lucien and the other sister imagines herself with Azriel.
A certain side: "But Gwyn is Nesta's chosen sister so she's technically a sister too!! If Nesta having such thoughts of Azriel is icky when it comes to Elain, it should be icky when it comes to Gwyn too!" (Oh wow, so now you acknowledge that she's Nesta's sister.)
Guess what? Immediately after having the thought of a threesome with Azriel, Nesta follows up with: Talking to Gwyn about the Dread Trove had sobered her up fast enough. (This is in Chapter 23 of ACOSF. The two lines are literally next to each other. Check it for yourself if you don't believe me.)
I mean I don't think this is 100% implied, but that line kind of reads like SJM might have been fantasizing about Nesta and Azriel and then was like "Oh wait, but GWYN!!" and she quickly ended her fantasies. It also aligns with her being a pantser so she could have been writing where her imagination went until Gwyn came crashing in lol.
(If Elriels are allowed to... reshape canon in its entirety, I think a little creative liberty on our part when it comes to interpreting the author's intention should be permissible.)

Elucien DOES NOT ruin the three x three symmetry, actually, and here's why:
Tumblr media
This is a variation of the Death of Koschei the Deathless, in which three sisters marry three kings, one of the Moon, the Wind, and the Sun.
Considering Rhys is the High Lord of the Night Court, and owns the Moonstone Palace, it seems pretty apparent to me that Rhys is the Moon King. And his mate is Feyre.
Cassian is an Illyrian who is born hearing the song of the wind, loves Illyrian culture per ACOFAS, is called the Prince of Bastards, and lives at the House of Wind, it's safe to say that he's the Wind King. And his mate is Nesta.
And Azriel is...
Oh. Wait.
So it's not three brothers three sisters, and yet it still maintains the three symmetry.
Because Lucien means light, he's the son of the High Lord of the Day Court, presumably the heir as his only son, and likely will have access to whatever palace Helion resides in once his heritage is revealed. And his mate is Elain, whose name also means light, who craved sunshine in her darkest moment, and who is often represented by flowers, which benefit from sunlight.
Hmm.
Intreresting.

They want Elain to fix him. I want Gwyn to help him realize he’s not broken.
We are not the same.

✨✨Friendly Reminder✨✨
Gwyneth Berdara does not show discomfort with men all through ACOSF.
Gwyn requested PRIVATE one on one training with Azriel FOR AN HOUR.
Gwyn also received unexpected PRIVATE one on one time with Azriel in the bonus chapter. Not one single ounce of discomfort was to be had during their time together. She teased the big bat boy for fucks sake.
Stop spreading false information just to make your already sunk ship sail. If you’re so confident it’ll happen let your arguments stand by the canon text in the books. If you can’t and you have to lie and rewrite what Sarah wrote then that should be evidence enough for ya. 😘😘🫶🏻

E/riels writing fanfiction:
Azriel- a charming, handsome man with a silver tongue whose snarky, sarcastic but also loyal and respectful. He's devoted to Elain, his mate, and they go on adventures and enjoy dancing at parties.
Elain- a sassy seer who sneaks around and learns how to be a spy. She teases Azriel, and goads him from time to time. She loves to sing in the fields of flowers, and he's enchanted by her beautiful voice. They also train and spar together.
E/riels: "this is amazing!! This trope is beautiful! The banter, the angst, the regency romance!! They have it all!"
Gwynriels/Eluciens: "....so.... whose going to tell them?"

E/riels talk about their ship having 4 books of development. For me, it was clear that Moriel was supposed to be endgame until she decided to change Mor sexuality. It was never supposed to be Azriel and Elain.
In ACOSF, we are introduced to Gwyn, who is very similar to Azriel, and by the end, she became a Carynthian, his equal.
Sjm literally retcon the events of Sangravah, making sure that Azriel is in it.
With all that information and more, E/riels have the courage to gaslight us when we say that Gwynriel will be endgame.
And that's what you missed on Glee.

“Elain deserves better than Lucien.”
At no point during this entire series are we led to believe that Lucien isn’t a high quality, compassionate, and thoughtful male. ✋😤

If Elain and Lucien's story ultimately ends with them being friends, then how would the inclusion of sex scenes fit in? Would it consist of chapters filled with awkward encounters? Perhaps there would be no intimate moments for about 900 pages, as both characters, despite sharing a mating bond, spend the entire book yearning for other people.
However, the narrative suggests otherwise, with Elain returning the necklace from Az and Lucien being annoyed by Jurian and Vassa.
As a romance with an author known for crafting happily-ever-afters, if SJM intended to end Elucien, she could have done so in a bonus chapter.

"Keep reaching out your hand" was used seven times verbatim in ACOSF as a central theme between Nessian. And now, I present to you this juicy little tidbit:
And when Gwyn reached the finish line, bloody and panting and grinning so wildly her teal eyes glowed like a sunlit sea, she only extended her battered hand to Azriel. (ACOSF, Chapter 60)
(Also I'm crying because Azriel finally got to see for himself how "Gwyn's teal eyes might light up [...]" in this scene because he didn't see her reaction to the necklace 😭)

So, I stated the obvious: Elain doesn't know exactly what Azriel does in his line of work, like the torture part especially, and she wouldn't condone imo.
Which, for me, is obvious, but even if you support e/riel, you'd like this tension to be resolved in their book and not off page, ya know.
And I get this:
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Azriel in the canon bonus chapter:
Tumblr media
Like, your guy literally SAYS she has no idea, get over your headcanons.
