Me towards cishets: Okay, so the short version is if I had to choose a binary gender I’d not even have to think before choosing to be a guy

Also me: if you would like to really get into shit. First off, I’m agender-genderqueer. Like, both. That’s not negotiable. I’m agender in a way that’s inherently genderqueer. And I’m genderqueer in a way that feels like a lot of nothing but like, queer nothing. But I’m also masc. But that’s dependent on me being agender-genderqueer first and foremost. Masc like a planet drifting through the vastness of agender & genderqueer. Like, you need to understand that I’m agender-genderqueer and only within that, within that framework, I’m masc. my gender is a whole lot of dark swirliness but it’s masc in nature swirliness. I’m more transneutral, but because that isn’t an achievable transition goal in the way I want it to be, I’m transneu-masc. I’m an agender guy, a genderqueer guy, because I’m only a guy in the sense that I like the word. I’m not a boy, I’m not a man. But a guy in like a genderneutral way. In an “adjacent to masculinity” way. In a “it isn’t entirely correct but let’s just stick with it” way. In an “if you say masc you have to say agender” and an “if you say masc you have to say genderqueer” way. Because I claim “guy” and make it genderneutral. My gender is the vast emptiness of agender and the swirling, bouncing lavalamp-blobs of genderqueer. But perceive me as a guy. I am no more masc than the color green. No more masc than the color purple. My gender is nothing but that nothing is queer to its core. And where the river of agender and the river of genderqueer intermingle, there drifts a tiny little paper boat of masculinity. The few, meticulously placed off-color masc stitches on my cross-stitch tapestry of agender-genderqueerness.

Hiya ! I'm a trans / genderqueer guy and I'm wondering, is it normal for me to not want to get a binder ? Double sport bras is already hell enough sensory wise (I'm autistic) and I just,, don't wanna. Farthest I'd go would be trans tape. But I'm worried I wouldn't be valid ? I've never really had a problem with not passing but i'm just paranoid that I might be outcasted from other transmascs in the community :-(

it is your transition, not theirs, so when asking if something is appropriate for transitioning in your body, it's really important to consider your needs first and above all else

that's completely normal =) for most of my life, i have not worn binders. when i was in middle n high school i wore two loose sports bras, and for a while after that, but then i just stopped due to back pain, and autism sensory issues. i got a proper binder and then wore it for about... 3 months before going wow, i like this even less!!

neurodivergent ppl, chronic pain havers, and hell, even some NT able bodied trans guys just don't wanna bind. that's just as much of a trans man experience as any other. besides, you do have to take your health and safety into concern, and overall it is better for your body to not have a constant source of very tight compression around your rib cage.

so i wouldn't worry about any possible stray comments from someone with low self esteem, you are taking your transition into your own hands. your body, your transition, your agency. you make up the rules. nobody gets to tell you how you identify based off of a garment of clothing you may or may not decide to wear. i hope that helps, take care, good luck, stay safe out there, you are valued!

I'm genderqueer, genderfluid, and transmasculine. I've been identifying that way for a couple years now. But recently I've been thinking about how much masculinity plays into my identity. I basically have 7 genders, and all but one have some degree of intrinsic masculinity and/or maleness, and the one that doesn't (exclusively a woman) is the rarest. My most common gender is genderqueer man. I want to go on hrt, get top and bottom surgery, and change my legal sex to male. I'm comfortable with people assuming I'm a guy, grouping me with guys, etc. I decided I want to recognize this in the way I label myself, but I'm still in the process of picking a label. I don't know which way I'll go, and I'm open to suggestions. I'm considering:

-genderfluid (what I am now)

-genderfluid man

-genderfluid trans man

-genderfluid and a guy

I just needed to tell someone because the only friend I was out to doesn't talk to me anymore, and posting on my tumblr feels so lonely. Thank you.

It's got the Alterhuman symbol, Genderqueer Guy flag and some parts from my main shifts: Fox, Rabbit and Deer (still figuring out if Im really a Jackalope or have individual kins with both rabbits and deer. I'm leaning towards the second but I'm trying to educate myself on deer more and find matching behaviors/instincts first)

heiror system genders are genders related to being an heiror of [x]/an [x] heiror. they are connected to [x], [x] aesthetics, heiror aesthetics, and genderqueer boy/guy/manhood. these terms should be named as ‘heiro[x]’ - for example, a kitten heiror system gender might be called ‘heirokitten’.

heiress system genders are genders related to being an heiress of [x]/an [x] heiress. they are connected to [x], [x] aesthetics, heiress aesthetics, and genderqueer girl/gal/womanhood. these terms should be named as ‘heire[x]’ - for example, a kitten heir system gender might be called ‘heirekitten’.

to use these templates, place them over a ten-stripe flag template and color in the five blank stripes. typically, terms in these gender systems use the same color on the two stripes surrounding the large middle stripe (here's one example and another), but they don't have to.
