Director Wes Ball and Noa's actor Owen Teague have given interviews examining the power-hungry adversary of Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, Proximus Caesar, played by Kevin Durand.
Tumblr media
Ball elaborated with Games Radar on the ape king's search for human artifacts and knowledge. "Proximus is a fantastically cool character. He is a fan of humans. You see it in the trailer. He says how they were capable of great things. 'They could level mountains. They could speak across oceans. They could fly like eagles fly.' He's fascinated by what humans were and how they fell so far, so he studies them. He knows more about humans than any other ape in our story."
Tumblr media
Teague concurred in his own interview about Proximus' fascination with humans, "To apes that forgot about all these [human] things, that's like a magic power." He went on to say about the rise of power for the character set up to be his antagonist, "You get to see how legends and religion, to some degree, play a part in the creation of powerful figures. It's a really smart story to be telling right now, especially, I think."
Tumblr media
It will be interesting to see Noa and Proximus Caesar meeting in the movie. With the trailer showing a deep conversation of Proximus trying to convince Noa that all apes will benefit from what he learns, followed by the apes throwing fists in the chimp way, their rivalry will be fun to see on the big screen.

'FINAL FANTASY VII: REBIRTH' - REVIEW ROUNDUP!
The LONG awaited next chapter in the Final Fantasy VII story launches tomorrow in the form of REBIRTH! But you already knew that. In fact, if you're a fan and have pre-ordered then you're probably not even reading this... You're sat at your front door waiting for tomorrow's postal delivery.
However, if you ARE reading and are looking for that little push towards the checkout, I've gotcha. Every 'Cloud' and all that...
IGN - 9/10
"Final Fantasy VII Rebirth impressively builds off of what Remake set in motion, both as a best-in-class action-RPG full of exciting challenges and an awe-inspiring recreation of a world that has meant so much to so many for so long."
Twinfinite - 5/5
"Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is, for all intents and purposes, a phenomenal second act in the Remake series. Though it’s open world design isn’t perfect, the game is finely honed in every other area and provides as luxurious of an experience as FF VII Remake did."
Destructoid - 9.5/10
"Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth somehow manages to spin multiple plates without smashing any of them. It’s over-the-top serious when it wants to be, and it’s utterly absurd in the next moment. Great Final Fantasy games have always managed to walk this line, and it’s a testament to how the brand has stayed relevant for decades on end."
GodIsAGeek - 10/10
"Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is a phenomenally good video game. It has a habit for self-indulgence, but earns every pause with some shocking story moments, and some of the best combat I’ve experienced."
GamesRadar - 4.5/5
"Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth delivers all the charm of Remake while making the needed improvements to side-content to ensure the original's step-out moment is worth taking once more."
Dexerto - 5/5
"Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is ultimately worth the four-year-long wait, leaving you wanting for the next installment. This is Game of the Year material and an exceptional follow-up to a revered first entry. It handles the beloved material with care while still establishing its own new voice, making for a stellar sequel."
VGC - 5/5
"Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an excellent RPG with some of the best characters in the gaming canon. While some open-world content skirts the edges, and the game's main narrative is left somewhat deflated, the time spent with Aerith, Tifa, and the gang makes this a hugely enjoyable road trip you'll be playing for hundreds of hours."

A Little Robin
Has this been thought of before? (If so someone please, please send me it. I wanna read)
Either due to something his parents made to catch ghosts or some kind of new "I'm gonna end Jack but my soon to be step-son needs to be out of the way" plan by Vlad, Danny (as Phantom) gets trapped in a doll, a bird(robin) doll/plushy.
Somehow, someway the doll get sold or sent to Gotham and is picked up by Dick one day while shopping who decides to give the doll to one of his brothers (or Steph cause she was a Robin as well -slides on mutli-shipper shades- I'm not picky) cause it's Dick trying to be funny. (Or he keeps it cause it's a Robin plush)
Danny, whose slowly regaining his powers even in plush form (maybe whatever got him stuck in the plush is wearing off over time, not enough that he can get out though), is trying very hard to get back home (he tired mailing himself once but someone almost caught him moving about, let's go with like Toy Story rules). He doesn't want to get caught in Gotham cause of the bats, when he finds out his 'owner' is part of the batfam he REALLY doesn't want to get caught. Cue many moments of Danny trying to get his way home under the radar.
And... he tries very hard not to crush on his 'owner' too as well...

Something I find interesting is that Bad always has always played a bit of the fool when the Federation is involved. He pretends he doesn't understand things, he pretends furniture is enough to distract him from anything (sometimes it does, but other times he is clearly playing it up), he says he doesn't know how he got into this secret room, etc. He stays as neutral as possible without siding with them.
And for a while that seems to work. They keep using furniture to distract him. They never punish him even when he shows up in a Federation building, because he's just a silly guy and doesn't know how he got here.
But... Someone at the Federation has noticed. And the reason we can know this is because of the survey and the reward.
A lot of people have been given tasks recently, and they have all received the rewards that were offered to them. Everyone except Bad, who got scammed out of his initial reward and instead given a lot of furniture.
BUT! The fact that he was offered the question as a reward in the first place says a lot. It says the Federation knew that it needed to offer him a reward that would be enough to entice him to do the task (like the trident for Philza, and spawn eggs for Forever, etc.), and what reward did they deem suitable for BadBoyHalo? Answers. Answers to absolutely ANYTHING he could ask them.
It was an insane reward to offer, completely disproportionate to the task that was being requested of him. But apparently this was the only reward the lower case Cucurucho, Osito Bimbo, calculated would be enough to motivate Bad to do a task for him. It had to offer something INSANE to convince Bad to work for the Federation.
When he was given the furniture, the book that apologised for the confusion was in upper case. The original Cucurucho saw what was offered and pulled back, going with it's old reliable technique of distracting him with nice furniture instead. After all, Bad is silly, Bad is gullible, give him some shiny furniture and he'll give up on anything.
But that means... Osito Bimbo has not fallen for Bad's ruse. Osito Bimbo didn't even consider offering furniture - the offer was an answer to any question, because Osito Bimbo calculated that was the reward that would get Bad to cooperate.
Just interesting what this could be saying about the Cucuruchos and how they view Bad differently...

In an interview with GamesRadar+, actress Freya Allan talked about her experience filming Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes.
"It was incredible. I watched a lot of the series beforehand and yeah, it's my proudest moment in my career so far. I'm really excited for it to come out, and proud of everyone involved - all the other actors and the director, Wes Ball, are fantastic. Everyone behind the scenes is just brilliant. I can't really say anything, but I'm telling you now, go and see it."
Tumblr media
Allan has the unique experience as the only main human character in a cast full of ape actors in motion capture suits. At least, at the moment, she's the only named human character we know about; there is still a chance that other actors without specified characters may be humans. Even so, she elaborated on that experience.
"Trust me, it's so weird to watch it and see myself with, what were humans, and now they're just chimpanzees. It's crazy. And I feel like I'm almost part of a secret club, because no one will ever get to really know how much these incredible actors' performances are translated into these animals. It's crazy what they're able to do with the technology. But I feel like no one will ever quite know how similar it really is, other than us."
