A/N: IT'S FINALLY HERE!! I know that the song came out in the 90s, but I love it so much and the lyrics are just so fanfic worthy. Btw this takes place in 1989 purely because I want it to. Also, this will have multiple parts !!!
I know this is kinda rushed but we're going to pretend it's not ♥️
×××××××××××××××
Today was the day. You had put off breaking up with your shitty boyfriend, Jason, for weeks now. If you had been dating anyone else, you wouldn't have hesitated to speak up about the issue. But, this was Jason Carver you were talking about. The school's most popular douchebag.
Everyone was almost always jealous of you for being Jason's girlfriend. Practically the whole school of Hawkins High was drooling over him, so, naturally they'd envy you.
You walked towards the cafeteria in a more stiff manner than usual. Could anyone blame you? No way. You were about three and a half minutes away from being the center of a new wave of drama, therefore you had more than enough reasons to be scared.
Taking a breath deeper than it should've been, you strutted into the cafeteria with the most faux confidence known to man- or to you, at least. Though nobody could tell you were feigning aplomb, it felt like you wanted to run out of there and shrivel up somewhere quiet.
You didn't feel like eating, so, it wasn't a surprise when you sat down at your usual table with no tray or lunchbox. Nobody seemed to notice. Jason certainly didn't.
Mere seconds after sitting down next to him, he uncomfortably snaked an arm around your waist with a smirk. He always did this. It was nice the first few times, but it didn't take long to get weird. It definitely was not as nice anymore. The two of you always sat at the head of the table, having nobody else directly next to either of you. This constantly gave Jason advantages, advantages you didn't like at all. One time, he made an attempt at touching you from under the table that was far from indisputable. The worst part was that you couldn't say anything about it. That was unless you wanted to end up bruised again.
Shuddering at the horrid memory, Jason started to speak, his hand now rubbing your side a little.
"Hey, babe, I was thinking of hosting another party at my place. You in?" He questioned, that disgustingly familiar smirk still plastered on his face.
"I- uhm..." You stuttered, unsure of how to go about this without the whole table hearing and going into a fit of whispers. "Just- c'mere- for a moment.." The tone you spoke in was unintentionally soft. There was no way in hell you'd ever raise your voice at him.
Pulling Jason along with you, you walked back out to the lockers closest to the entryway of the cafeteria, making sure there were little to no students roaming the halls for fear of them overhearing. "Jason, I just... I've been thinking," you took a shaky breath.
"I don't really think that this is.. that this is working out." You had never averted your gaze quicker in your life.
"Wha-" he paused, letting out an amused chuckle. "What do you mean, baby?" His smile was very slowly fading. He knew what you meant. No doubt about it. He just wanted to truly hear it from you.
"I mean I think we should, y'know, leave it here." The way you avoided the words 'break' and 'up' was so undeniably obvious- to both you and him.
"You're saying we should break up? Is that it?" Jason's smile had fully gone away, now replaced with a nasty scowl that made your heart rate increase. "You're saying you wanna leave me for some other dickhead?" With a snarling tone, his words soon became more rhetorical than ever as he shoved you into a cold, metallic locker behind you.
You gasped and winced at the aggression, though it was far from something new. "Jason, please! This is exactly why I'm saying this!" You retored, tears stinging and bubbling in your eyes.
"You know I'm the best you've ever had- and don't try and lie to me like you won't be choking on some other guys dick tomorrow!" Jason snapped back, the words hitting you like a ton of bricks. You wouldn't consider yourself a prude, but sex wasn't a frequent thing for you. It was almost entirely his fault that you knew as much as you did about it.
"Jesus fucking Christ- this is your problem!" You snapped back at your now ex-boyfriend.
"You get all pissed off when things don't go your way and blame it on anyone else but yourself! Just.. Just fuck off!" That was it. The first and most likely last time you had ever bitten back at him.
His immediate change from anger to both shock and fury in expression was enough. You ran off down the hallway before he could say anything more, tears burning and blurring your vision as they streamed down your flushed cheeks in warm lines.
You dashed down the hallway in uneven and uncoordinated steps, quickly barging into the closest bathroom you could find.
The door squeaked a little as it opened and closed. You went directly into the nearest stall, locking yourself in there for god knows how long.
Sinking down against the wall of the cramped bathroom stall, the overwhelming wave of emotion got the best of you. Nothing could stop the fact that you were full on sobbing at this point with zero care if anyone heard you.
It'd been five minutes. Five minutes of wholeheartedly crying your eyes out. That was up until you heard a familiar squeak. The bathroom door.
Shit.
"Hey, uhh.. R'you alright?" They asked, the only thing unusual about it was the fact that it was clearly a male student speaking. A male student. Why would a guy be in the girls bathroom?
You scrambled to wipe your tears and silence your whimpers, but it was too late. Someone had obviously heard you.
"Sh-shit.. Yeah, m'fine.." You somehow managed to mumble out in a small voice, just barely above a whisper.
There was a moment of silence. It seemed like he realized something too, though neither of you thought to mentioned anything about it.
Your eyes fought to find a semipermanent spot to rest for the awkwardly quiet conversation. They eventually landed on the pair of scuffed, white, Reebok sneakers creeping towards the bathroom stall you'd secluded yourself in. The shoes stopped moving about a foot away from the door.
"Can I, y'know, come in?- Or open the door, I guess?" The unknown student questioned, his tone uncertain whether or not it was a normal thing to ask.
The more he spoke, the more you felt as if you knew this boy. Since you didn't recognize his voice right off the bat, it was evident that you two didn't know each other too well.
"Uhm... I guess so.." You answered, the same level of uncertainty in your voice. With that, the door opened slowly, the anticipation to find out who this mystery student was becoming worse. Lo and behold, the schools freak stood towering over your body that was currently shriveled up in the dirty corner.
There was a subtle sense of recognition in his confused gaze. Did he know you or something? Of course he knew you. Everyone did. You aren't exactly a secret after being a school's most popular cheerleader.
"y/n..?" The boy spoke again, more confusion flooding into his single word than before he'd unmasked you. Everyone in the school thought you were perfect, not a single flaw in your soul. So, imagine the surprise of seeing you, crumpled up like a discarded note in the corner of a bathroom stall. Not exactly ideal.
You couldn't say anything. There was nothing to say. The most you could do was peer up at him with red, glossy eyes and mascara stains all down your flushed cheeks, limbs uncomfortably scrunched together.
"There is- so much to unpack here," Eddie stumbled on his words, eyes searching around frantically to no specific destination. "Shit.." His mind was running a mile a minute to think of something- anything to say.
"What're you," he took a breath, eye narrowing. "What're you doin' in the guys bathroom..?"
Your eyes went wide. As if this wasn't already an atrociously awkward and embarrassing interaction, he had to go and ruin it even more. He was unmistakably horrible at comforting people.
"Fuck!" You gave up, too much was happening in too little time. You let your head drop into your knees with another sob of more emotions than you could comprehend, and Eddie couldn't do much but watch your entire breakdown, making things about a million times worse.
Suddenly, Eddie acted on impulse, dropping to his knees to make somewhat of an attempt at helping you.
"Hey, hey, hey, it's okay." His hands twitched with hesitancy, hovering above your shoulders. Should he touch you? Could he touch you? What even happened? Hundreds of thoughts flooded his mind as he stayed there, unable to do much but stare at the way you crumbled into a shaking mess of tears.
Throwing all caution into the wind, he placed his ringed hands on your shoulders and just kept them there, hoping that would do at least a little good in trying to calm you down.
"y/n, look at me." His tone was gentle. The care in his voice clashed with his intimidating appearance. A lot.
Inhaling a shaky breath, you looked up at him with puffy eyes and trembling lips.
"D'you wanna tell me what happened?" Your brain went haywire at the simple question, but you did the best you could at remaining physically (somewhat) calm.
Wiping your stinging tears with the sleeve of your cardigan, you nodded softly. "Just- please don't tell anyone. I don't need everyone in the school to be talking about me."
"Pinky swear." He stated genuinely, holding out his pinky finger to you. The child-like way of promise made you chuckle just a little bit.
You took a breath to recollect yourself before speaking.
"I broke up with Jason."
"Holy fuck."
"I know- I don't.." You sniffled, reddened eyes filling up with water for what felt like the millionth time in the past fifteen minutes. "I don't know what to do, because I know for a f-fact he's gonna start some stupid rumor about how we broke up."
"Like what?" Oblivious to how insensitive that may have sounded considering the current circumstances, Eddie couldn't help but wonder what kind of shitty things the blonde jock would conjure up as a way of dramatic retaliation.
That was a low blow, even for the school's freak. At least that's what you thought.
Looking up at him with wet eyes and a look of disappointment, he immediately took back his previous question, scooting backward to give you a little space.
"Right. Sorry.." Eddie muttered an apology awkwardly, nothing but the chatter of students leaving the cafeteria heard between the two of you.
It took Eddie a minute-- or six-- but, he managed to think of something that he thought would help lighten the mood of the saddened cheerleader before him.
"How about we skip next period? Have a little fun, yeah?"

A Gentlemen’s Agreement (1/3)
Fandom: Stranger Things
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader
Word Count: 1.5K
Warning!: mentions of attempted r@pe, Jason Carver being an asshole
Summary: After breaking things off with Jason Carver, Reader needs someone new to convince him she’s moved on.
A/N: Hello my lovelies! I present to you my first Eddie Munson fic! I absolutely love Eddie Munson and am so happy he was introduced to us. A quick heads up, although the Upside Down is mentioned in this fic, it will not be following the events of season 4, so no worries and no spoilers. Also, if anyone would like to listen to the songs that I played over and over again while writing this, here’s a link to Lemon Boy and Boys Will Be Bugs by Cavetown. Whelp, that’s everything! Enjoy (:

~ ~ ~
It was a chilly night when Jason invited (Y/N) for a swim at Lovers Lake. She really didn’t want to go, but he kept pressing and begging and complaining and threatening, so she agreed. He picked her up at half past nine, his music blaring. She wore jeans and a sweater and was scolded for not wearing something a little skimpier.
When they arrived at Lovers Lake, (Y/N) kept her sweater on, but Jason insisted she take it off. She wasn’t comfortable with that, the chilly Hawkins air mixed with the chilly water from Lovers Lake screamed that she would catch a cold; she had a very important math test coming up and she wasn’t going to let a cold keep her from studying and passing it.
But Jason didn’t understand. “You’d look prettier without it.”
He even tried to take it off, but (Y/N) didn’t budge. As he continued to berate her, he started calling her names she had only heard slip from his lips when he was drunk. It was like a slap to the face, a glimpse of all the red flags she never cared to wave down. But it hit her like a truck when he succeeded in taking the sweater off and throwing it far away. There she stood in her bra and panties, clutching her body to stay warm.
“Jason, give me my sweater back,” she warned him.
He did not. Instead, he forced himself onto her, trying to coax them into the water for a “good time.”
That’s not why she came down here. She didn’t even want to be here! She wanted to study before falling asleep but instead was forced to come here by someone she thought she loved. Forced to follow in his footsteps, forced to do everything he said or else there would be consequences. She had had enough.
“No!” she yelled at him, shoving him off of her to the forest floor. Before any more thoughts could force their way into her head, she ran. She grabbed his letterman that hung on a nearby bench and ran for her life. Her house was miles away from Lovers Lake, but she had a friend that lived close by.
(Y/N) didn’t stop until she was at Max Mayfield’s trailer. The two girls met the previous year when she worked at Macy’s. Max brought her friend El for a girl’s shopping trip and (Y/N) helped them out. All three really hit it off and when Max needed another girl’s opinion, she showed up on (Y/N)’s doorstep out of breath, with El at her side to talk about Billy. (Y/N) would’ve never thought that in a billion years, she would be helping the girls and their friends defeat an interdimensional monster that was using Billy as a host to destroy El. It was wild, but the experience really brought all of them together.
Banging on Max’s front door, (Y/N) shuttered. She was cold, but she was also afraid. What if Jason had followed her? What if he was waiting for her to leave? What was he going to do to her on Monday? Would he even wait until Monday, or would he show up at her house the next morning?
All thoughts slipped away as Max opened the door. “(Y/N)?”
“Hi,” she replied, gathering the remainder of her thoughts. “Can I come in?”
Max nodded, letting the shivering girl inside. Closing the door behind her, Max walked to the kitchen, grabbing (Y/N) a glass of water. Handing it off to the senior, she took a breath before asking the harrowing question. “What happened?”
She wasn’t exactly ready to relive it, but Max was like a younger sister to her. So, she told her of going with Jason to Lovers Lake. She told her how he forced her to take off her sweater and then forced himself on her. She told Max how she finally woke up from the nightmare that had been their relationship and pushed the boy off of her before running to Max’s house in nothing but her undergarments and his letterman jacket.
“Wow, that’s a lot.” (Y/N) agreed. “So, are you guys broken up now?”
“Well, I didn’t say the words—”
“But if he asked?”
“Yeah, I’d say we’re broken up.” And for the first time in a long time, (Y/N) genuinely smiled. So, she said it again and again and again until her cheeks began to hurt.
After her revelation, Max guided her to her room, searching for clothes she could wear. Surprisingly, Max had a baggy pair of sweatpants, a long-sleeve shirt, and a decent pair of socks that were a good fit for (Y/N).
It was peaceful after (Y/N) called her parents to notify them that she was spending the night with Max. Afterward, the two talked about stupid, silly things before falling asleep.
The next morning, Max received a call from (Y/N)’s father, informing them that Jason had already called and come over to their house, demanding to know where (Y/N) was. Her parents never liked the boy, so they lied, saying she got sick after last night and was holed up in her room. Knowing this meant (Y/N) couldn’t go back to her house, she asked if Max could call Dustin over, so she could still study for her calc test. Max begrudgingly agreed, the boy arriving twenty minutes later with his textbook, notebook, pens, snacks, and Eddie Munson.
(Y/N) introduced herself, unsure if he remembered being her lab partner when she was a sophomore in senior anatomy. Fortunately, he did remember her, sending butterflies into her stomach.
The four placed themselves in the living room; Ms. Mayfield had already gone off to work. Max and Dustin sat on the couch, while Eddie and (Y/N) stretched themselves on the floor.
It was a wonderful day and although (Y/N) got little to no studying done, she couldn’t help but be entranced by Eddie and was therefore thankful that he came over. Something about him called to her. As she imagined spending another day with him, Max’s phone rang.
The girl groaned as she got up, answering it with an exasperated, “What?”
“Oh, hey, Lucas.” This caught Dustin’s attention, as he got up from the couch and moved to the kitchen to listen to Max’s conversation with his best friend.
(Y/N) waved them off, turning her attention back to Eddie. His soft baby brown eyes drew her in, more butterflies swirling into her stomach. She wanted to continue with their conversation, but for the life of her, she couldn’t remember what they were talking about. So, she continued to smile softly and gaze into his beautiful eyes.
“You know what would be crazy?” he asked, lightly chewing on a pen cap.
“What?”
“If we pretended to date so you wouldn’t have to deal with Jason’s crazy ass on Monday.”
(Y/N) perked up at the idea. That actually could work. Eddie was right, she wouldn’t have to deal with Jason, plus, she would get to hang out with the nicest guy she’s ever met. “Okay.”
Eddie chuckled. “Yeah, okay.”
“Eddie, I’m serious. I think that’s a great idea.”
His eyebrows furrowed. “What? No, I was joking. It was a joke because who would actually believe that you and I are together?”
“I’d believe it.”
“Yeah, but you’re you. I mean, like would anyone else believe it? Like Jason’s buddies or your friends?”
“Friends?” (Y/N) laughed. “My only actual friend at school is Chrissy Cunningham and I’m pretty sure she would be absolutely thrilled that I was with someone infinitely better than Jason Carver.”
“You think I’m infinitely better than Jason Carver?” Eddie asked, his tone was humorous, but (Y/N) saw the sparkle that lit up his eyes.
“Are you kidding? You’re infinitely better than every guy at our school, especially Jason.”
Eddie nodded, his mind swirling and twirling with the thought of him actually dating (Y/N) (Y/L/N), Queen of Hawkins High. It, of course, would be temporary, just until Jason got over her and moved on. Although that time could range from a week to a year, Eddie liked those chances.
“Okay, let’s do it then.”
“Really?” (Y/N) asked as he nodded. “Okay, before we do anything, we should go over some ground rules.”
“Right, okay. The first rule should be…uhm…no physical touching outside of school.”
“Okay, yeah setting boundaries, good. Second, don’t engage Jason. He’s very antagonistic and doesn’t back down, even when he should. If he talks to us first, that’s fine, but we shouldn’t go seeking him out.”
“Smart. Oh, and last rule, you can’t fall in love with me.”
(Y/N) shook her head, giggling. This man, this perfect man, was going to be her boyfriend. Even though it was fake, she couldn’t help but feel the electricity race through her body at the prospect of it maybe becoming real. It was unlikely, but there was still a chance and that’s what kept her going. “Deal.”
Eddie laughed, putting his hand in front of him and shaking (Y/N)’s. “Let’s do this thing.”

You Deserve Better
Chrissy Cunningham x Female Reader
TW: Jason’s a dick and is verbally abusive to Chrissy. Chrissy struggles with food and weight!!
Notes: Language and kissing
You and Chrissy Cunningham have been best friends for years. Despite the two of you being best friends for years, she still hid a huge secret from you. She wasn’t sure for a while, but since sophomore year, Chrissy’s had a crush on you. It’s now senior year for the both of you and the two of you have been friends since freshman year. You always thought she was being extra gentle and caring with you because the two of you were best friends, but that wasn’t it. Chrissy hid her feelings for you by dating Jason, she thought he was a good guy at first, someone to just date to say you’re dating, but she was wrong. As they continued dating, the relationship just kept getting worse and extremely toxic. You hated Jason, hated him. The way he treated Chrissy made you so angry and it took a while for you to finally build up the courage to talk to her about it. It was a Friday night and Chrissy had a date with Jason at 8:00pm. You had the house to yourself tonight and felt like relaxing by yourself, alone. You were in your living room, watching ‘The Breakfast Club’ for the fifth or sixth time. It was a little passed 8:30pm when your doorbell rang and you were confused. Nobody was expected to come over, so you cautiously peaked through your front window. You rushed to the door when you saw who it was. When you opened the door, you saw a sobbing Chrissy at your doorstep and pulled her inside. She clung onto you tight, sobbing into your chest and you wrapped your arms around her tightly. You said, “Chrissy, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you with Jason?” She said, “I’m- I’m sorry if I-” and you interrupted her, saying, “Hey, you’re fine! I was watching ‘The Breakfast Club’ so you truly weren’t interrupting anything. Can you tell me what’s wrong, please?” She replied, “Yeah, okay. Jason and I went to the movies, but when I arrived, he said my outfit was slutty. I ignored his comment, but when I said I wanted some candy, he looked disgusted with me. He said, 'Babe, candy makes you fat and you shouldn’t be eating that. You can’t put on anymore weight, Chrissy. You don’t want to be fat, do you?’ I stood there in shock, then started crying and ran away from him. I ran into Steve and Eddie on my way out, they offered me a ride after they saw I was crying and running from Jason. I didn’t want to be alone, so I told them to drop me off here. I’m sorry for just showing up, but I just- I need you, (Y/N).” You pulled her in for a hug and said, “It’s okay, Chrissy, I promise. You’re welcome to stay the night and we can have our own little date night, as friends of course. I can rewind ‘The Breakfast Club’ and I have some candy, if you want? Whatever you want, Chrissy.” She smiled and said, “Are you sure, I wouldn’t be intruding?” You replied, “I wouldn’t lie to you, I promise you aren’t bothering me. You never bother me, actually.” Chrissy smiled again and said, “Yeah, I’d like to stay here with you tonight, (Y/N), please.” You replied, “Yeah, of course! For snacks and candy, I was eating some red vines on the couch before you came. Do you want those or I can look for something else?” She said, “I’ll pass on the candy, but thank you” and looked down at the ground. You squinted your eyes at her and said, “Chrissy Cunningham, if you’re not eating them because of what he said, I swear.” Still looking down, she replied, “(Y/N), I- I can’t- I can’t eat them. He’s right, I can’t gain anymore weight.” You lifted her chin with your thumb and index finger, then replied, “Chrissy, you’re so beautiful, so so beautiful. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. If you could, you’d love yourself so much and see just how beautiful you are. Now, I’m not going to force you to eat them, but I don’t want you to not have any because of what he said. You are allowed to do whatever you want, he’s not in charge of you. No matter what you eat or what you look like, you’ll still always be beautiful.” Chrissy’s eyes started to tear up and her cheeks turned a bright red.
She asked, “You uh- You think I’m beautiful? You’re not just saying that, you- you mean it?” You stared back at her, seeing the hurt in her eyes and lightly grabbed her shoulders, then replied, “I think you are the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. You, Chrissy Cunningham, are beautiful, inside and out. I’m absolutely not just saying that, I mean it with everything in me.” Tears started rolling down her face and she said, “Sorry for crying, it’s- it’s stupid. It’s just- it’s just nobody’s ever- nobody’s ever said something like that before and really meant it. Thank you, (Y/N).” You gave her a hug, holding her tight in your embrace. When you released, she said, “You’re beautiful too, so beautiful, (Y/N). I just want you to know that.” You smiled and said, “Thank you. I don’t hear it a lot, so really, thank you, Chrissy.” She pulled you back into a hug and when she released, you smiled, then said, “You wanna watch the movie, now? All the snacks are already on the coffee table.” Chrissy smiled and said, “Yes, please.” Then the two of you walked into your living room and Chrissy plopped down onto the couch. You went to the VCR to rewind the tape and when you were done, you plopped down next to Chrissy. The movie started and you grabbed the red vines, then placed the package on your lap after grabbing one. She grabbed one and you smiled widely, happy that she listened to you. Around 20 minutes later, Chrissy said, “Can I- Can I ask you something?” You nodded your head and said, “Mhmmm, of course.” Chrissy mumbled, “If it’s not too uh- too weird, can we- can we cuddle?” You replied, “It’s not weird, of course we can. However you want to is fine with me, anything to make you feel better.” Chrissy smiled and hesitantly extended her legs over your lap, then placed her head on your shoulder. She said, “(Y/N), is this okay? Are you comfortable? I can move if-” and you interrupted her. In a calming tone, you said, “You’re perfect right where you are. Just relax for me, okay? Everything is okay.” Chrissy looked up at you and all she felt was love. The tone of your voice made her heart melt and her stomach had butterflies. She tried to turn her attention toward the movie, but she couldn’t, she just wanted to look at you. In that moment, all she wanted to do was grab your face and kiss you. It took a couple minutes, but she was eventually able to turn her attention toward the movie. When thr movie ended you said, “Chrissy, can I ask you something? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.” Chrissy replied, “Yeah, what’s up?” and you asked, “Why do you stay with him?” She said, “What? What do you mean?” You replied, “Jason. Why do you continue dating him?” She said, “I’m uh- I’m scared to leave him. You hear what he says about me to my face, imagine if I broke up with him.” You replied, “Chrissy, you deserve so much better than him. You deserve everything good in this world, not the lies and garbage he’s giving you. You should be told you look beautiful every day, because you do and I know he doesn’t say it. You deserve to go places and eat whatever you want, because that’s what you want to eat. You don’t deserve to cry and feel awful about yourself. You deserve love and happiness, Chrissy.” Chrissy couldn’t hold back any longer, she cupped your cheeks and kissed you.
Your eyes widened in shock and when she released from the kiss, her eyes widened in fear. She said, “Shit! I’m sorry, (Y/N)! I shouldn’t have- I shouldn’t have done that. I’m so sor-” and you interrupted her by kissing her back. When you released from the kiss, you said, “Chrissy, I don’t want to take advantage of you being upset.” She said, “(Y/N), I’ve liked you since sophomore year. I just never thought you’d like me back.” You laughed and replied, “I’ve always liked you, Chrissy, always. I’m so in love with you.” Chrissy smiled, then cupped your cheeks and kissed you again. She released from the kiss with a smile on her face and she said, “I love you too, (Y/N). I love you so much. You make me happy and you- and you make me feel beautiful. For fucks sake, you make me feel like a princess.” You giggled and said, “You can be my princess, if you want”, then lightly tapped her nose. Chrissy giggled and said, “Oh my god, you’re so stupid. But are you- are you being serious?” Her cheeks turned red at the question and you said, “Mhmmm.” You changed your tone to one that was sickeningly sweet and said, “You want to be my princess, sweet girl?” Chrissy’s heart melted right then and there, her cheeks turned dark red. She nodded and said, “Please, I want to be yours, (Y/N).” You smiled and said, “You can be all mine, princess. My cute little angel.” She smiled back at you and started peppering you with kisses, until you giggled. A grin appeared on your face and you said, “Come with me, we’re about to make a fun little phone call.” Chrissy followed you to the phone and you said, “Dial Jason’s number for me please, sweetheart.” Chrissy did it without question and it only rung a couple times before he answered the phone. He said “Hello? Who is this?” and you replied, “It’s (Y/N). I’m calling on behalf of Chrissy. She’s breaking up with you.” He said, “Yeah, good luck with that. I’ll ruin her reputation and turn her into a slut. I mean, it’s not like she already isn’t one anyway.” You said, “Mhmmm, okay. If you do that, she’s going to tell everyone that you’re an abusive boyfriend. So, if you don’t watch what the fuck you say, you might lose scholarships. I’m sure colleges would love to know that you’re abusive, Jason.” He said, “She wouldn’t say that” and you replied, “Oh, but I would. Try me, Jason.” Jason gulped and you could hear it through the phone. He said, “Can I talk to her?” You replied, “Mhmmm, you sure can”, then handed the phone to Chrissy. They talked for a couple minutes and Chrissy was nodding along, occasionally humming at something he said. After around five minutes, she said, “I’m dead fucking serious, Jason. We’re over, I’m tired of you treating me like shit.” She hung up on him and took a breath of relief. Chrissy looked at you, then smiled and said, “(Y/N), that felt so good.” You smiled back at her and said, “I’m so proud of you, angel.” Her smile grew wider and she hugged you, then you gave her a kiss on the top of her head. You said, “You wanna go upstairs and cuddle, sweet girl?” Her cheeks turned pink and she nodded her head.
You grabbed her hand and led her upstairs to your room. She closed the door behind her and said, “Is it okay if I borrow some clothes? This isn’t very comfy to sleep in.” You smiled and said, “What’s mine is yours, whatever you want to wear you can.” Her eyes looked like they were sparkling with happiness and love towards you. Chrissy picked out a pair of your sweatpants and one of your band tees. When she put the band tee on, you admired the way she looked in it. It was a size too big for her, so it was baggy, but you could still see the outline of her figure. It was one of your favorite shirts and you loved the way she looked in it. Seeing her in your clothes made you want to give her your entire wardrobe. She said, “How do I look?” and you responded, “So hot, sweetheart. You look so hot, come here.” You made grabbing hands towards her and she giggled, then quickly moved over to you. Chrissy started giggling more when you grabbed her by her waist and pulled her onto you. She straddled your lap with a huge smile on her face, then cupped your cheeks. Chrissy looked deep into your eyes and said, “I love you so much, (Y/N).” Before you could even respond, her lips were on yours. Your hands met her waist and hers slowly inched their way to the back of your neck. Once they were there, she tried to pull herself impossibly closer to you. When the two of you released from the kiss for air, you said, “I love you so much, Chrissy.” She smiled and said, “You wanna cuddle now?” You replied, “Mhmmm, yes please!” You laid down flat on the bed, then, once you were comfortable, she wrapped her arms and legs around you. Chrissy said, “If this isn’t comfy for you, I can move. Jason hated when I’d cuddle like this. You replied, “I love it, angel. No need to worry. You’re like my own personal koala bear, so cute and cuddly. I’ll be your own personal tree!” She smiled, then said, “You’re so cute, baby” and kissed your cheek. You blushed, which only made her smile more. Her smile was one of your favorite parts about her, it was so beautiful. You said, “You’re so beautiful, Chrissy. God, you’re so beautiful, especially with that cute little smile of yours. I love you, angel.” She replied, “You’re so cute, sweetheart. I love you too, (Y/N). My sweet baby.” You turned off the lamp beside you and then kissed her forehead. Within 30 minutes, the both of you were asleep. You fell asleep listening to her heartbeat and thinking about how you can finally kiss the girl of your dreams. Chrissy fell asleep the same way and thought the same thing. She also thought about how safe and cared for, she felt when she was with you. Chrissy teared up as she realized, she finally felt loved. You were the first person to make her truly, feel loved. In that moment of realization, Chrissy held you tight, never wanting to let go of you.
Hope you liked it!!😊💖

(OC POV, when Jason comes to interrogate Corroded Coffin at Gareth's Hell Fire's Cleric Tessa comes to his rescue in a rage of fiery hair and flying fists.) Tessa was lied out on the grass of her lawn listening to Corroded Coffin's practice. They still kept it up even with Eds missing. She huffed and spoke to herself. "I can't heal our party if half of it is missing and scattered searching for our fearless leader!" She heard the music stop abruptly and heard Gareth's voice carry to her yard. "You guy's are a bit early, shows not till next week." She could tell whoever he was speaking with wasn't someone he was fond of. An outsider come to cause trouble. She looked up seeing Jason and his goons...and Lucas the betrayer behind them. She got up as Lucas spoke to Gareth. "We are just looking for Eddie man..." She saw the anger in Gare's eyes causing her own to start to boil up. "Well ya got eyes dont'cha? He isn't here." She saw Jason nod and ball up his fist sending her sprinting across her yard to get to him. Jason's fist made contact with Gareth's face sending him hitting the ground while the other boys held back Jeff and Grant. She shoved through Lucus who was trying to stop her. "YOU MIGHT BE A TRAITOR SINCLAIR BUT I AM THIS PARTIES CLERIC AND I AM NOT LOSING ANY MORE PARTY MEMBERS, NOT TODAY!" She shouted as she threw Lucus to the cement of the drive way leaping over him and sending her fist straight into the side of Jason's jaw causing him to lose his footing falling to the ground. The other two lackies in shock gave Jeff and Grant the time to get away from them. Jason had his hands up trying to stave off Tess's attack but she was unrelenting in her assault. Gareth looked on in awe of her as she landed a knee to his gut and another ring clad finger sent flying to his nose breaking it with a pop that made Gareth cringe as he crawled over to her his lip bleeding from Jason's connected punch from earlier. He pulled Tess into his arms running a hand through her fiery hair to sooth her. "Babe...Tess!" she was still trying to get out of his arms to get to Jason who was trying to crawl off as fast as he could away from her. So he instead decided to speak in character with her knowing it always calmed her down. "My lady cleric, Tessara of the light of Eldath, Goddess of peace, calm yourself, we have won this fight thanks to you..." He said softly to her bringing her down from her rage as her brown eyes met his blue ones. A crack from Jeff hitting one of the other boys was heard and the jocks were sent running away. She grinned as she looked on. "I can't save the whole party... but I saved you Gareth the Great." He smiled and kissed her cheek gently. "That you did my lady cleric. Our party would be lost today without you." "JUST KISS OUR CLERIC ALREADY EMERSON!" Jeff called out with Grant laughing beside him. "Maybe her lips can heal that cut Jason left on yours!" Grant teased. Tess and Gareth's eyes met again and he cupped her cheeks in his hands pulling her in closely, their lips meeting in a deep kiss that sent butterflies through them both. "My lady Tessara, Cleric of the Goddess Eldath, light of Hell Fire. Would you do me the honors of being my girlfriend?" His cheeks flushed as did her own. "Gareth the Great, I would be honored to have you at my side...even to the ends of our world as we know it. May we fight and die hand in hand and go together to meet Eldath in the light at the end." She said kissing Gareth again as Grant and Jeff cheered them on in the background. A fleeting moment of happiness at the face of what was soon to be, Hellfire's biggest battle yet. (thanks for reading! I hope you guys liked it!)

People really be out here saying “Oh Lucas is in the wrong for becoming a jock” or “ he was just playing basketball to be popular”. Like fine you want to go that way? WERE MIKE AND DUSTIN NOT DOING THE SAME THING WITH EDDIE?!?? Like yes they wouldn’t have been popular by kissing Eddies ass but were they not trying to get Eddie to like/trust them?!?! Were they not trying to be cool for the Hellfire club??!

been thinking a lot about those hcs about steve bullying eddie and i'm pretty sure the math just does not check out on any level
like okay so first of all, steve absolutely would not be bullying someone older than him in his freshman and sophomore years, especially because in the way puberty hits teen boys, there is no way eddie wasn't probably taller and bigger than him in those years.
and like, yeah, he was more of an asshole in his junior year, but he was only a junior for four months before the demogorgon. so that means that everything you want steve to be responsible for vis a vis eddie's trauma has to be within that four months.
it's especially egregious when the only person we actually see steve bully is jonathan, who is a sophomore at the time. a sophomore who kicked steve's ass, btw. which probably means steve wasn't physically bullying seniors and escaping unscathed.
also it seems to be an equally popular trope that steve bullied gareth and gareth hates steve the most out of all eddie's friends, which is like... okay, gareth is, i think, a junior at the time of s4? which means he would have been a freshman in steve's junior year. which, yeah, sets him in steve's prime bullying demographic, but can i just remind everyone that steve wasn't even with that crowd for his entire first semester of junior year?
it seems incredibly unlikely that gareth got bullied by steve personally in fall '83 and then held on to that grudge for the rest of high school, especially after seeing firsthand steve's fall from popularity and then spending almost a whole year in school without him.

A Gentlemen’s Agreement (2/3)
Fandom: Stranger Things
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader
Word Count: 2.1K
Warning!: cussing, mentions of blood
Summary: With boundaries now set, Eddie and Reader carry on with their fake relationship at school
A/N: Hello my lovelies! Welcome to part 2! The last part will be out in a couple weeks as I have a certain schedule in which I write my stories. I don’t really have anything else to add, so yeah. Enjoy (:

~ ~ ~
It was a fine Monday morning. Birds chirped their favorite tune, trees swayed with the wind, and the clouds that were visible moved slowly and calmly through the sky.
(Y/N) smiled to herself as she exited her car. It was the first time Jason hadn’t picked her up for school. The first time she actually got to use her car and not have him complain about not getting to drive. According to him, it was embarrassing to have your girlfriend drive you around. Although she had driven herself this morning, she and Eddie did have plans to carpool in his car for the rest of the week, or for however long they had to keep their charade up.
She really wanted to sell their rouse. She wanted to be rid of Jason.
And she was beyond happy to have Eddie help her.
Locking her car door, (Y/N) made her way to Eddie’s van on the other side of the parking lot. The closer she got, the more jittery she felt. Over the weekend, a hoard of caterpillars made home in her stomach; now slowly hatching out of their pods into butterflies. The thing was, she didn’t know if the butterflies were from the inevitable moment when she saw Jason again, or if it was because she was “dating” Eddie.
Eddie. A guy she never would’ve thought she’d have a chance with. He was so cool, and despite what most said about him, (Y/N) really liked him.
Like, she liked him.
He was funny, clever, caring, passionate, and a great listener. They had spent the whole weekend together, not going back to her house until late Sunday night. He told her about Corroded Coffin and the Hellfire Club and his dream to graduate that year. She told him about her passion for photography and her growing friendship with Nancy Wheeler and the hope that they could one day work together outside of the Hawkins High Newspaper.
Through all her talking, he never once asked her to stop or shut up. He just sat there and listened, and it meant more to her than he would ever know.
Reaching his car, (Y/N) pushed the butterflies down, tapping on his window. He looked over at the sound, a wide smile breaking out on his face immediately.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he said, pushing his door open. “How are you feeling today?”
(Y/N) shrugged. “I’m okay. Nervous.”
“Well, you don’t need to be nervous with me, okay? I got your back.” She smiled at this, leaning into his open arms. Her heart skipped a beat when she felt Eddie kiss the top of her head. She figured it was to sell their ruse, but part of her hoped that he would do it again without anyone looking.
“Are you ready to go in?”
She nodded. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
Putting her hand in Eddie’s, the two made their way into Hawkins High. As they made their way through the double doors, (Y/N) couldn’t help but notice the states that followed them throughout the hallway. They made her self-conscious, causing her to grip Eddie’s hand tighter.
When they got to her locker, Eddie let go of her hand, leaning against the row of lockers. He studied her face as she gathered her math and history textbooks.
“Hey,” Eddie whispered, slightly leaning closer to her while still providing space. “Everything is going to be okay.”
She nodded, only half listening. He noticed.
“(Y/N), hey. Things are going to be fine.”
“I don’t know, E. I saw Patrick and Andy; they both share a homeroom with Jason. It feels like they’re going to tell him.”
“Look at me,” he insisted, guiding her chin up with his pointer finger. His touch was light and soft, it made her melt. “Remember rule #2. We are not going to seek him out. If he wants to talk, we can talk.”
“What if he tries to talk to me and you’re not there?”
Eddie sighed, knowing full well that there was a possibility of that happening. The only classes he and (Y/N) shared were history and study hall, which were at the beginning and end of their day. There were several opportunities for Jason to try and talk to (Y/N). To threaten her, and verbally abuse her. The thought of him not being there in her hour of need and being harmed because of it sent shivers down his spine.
At last, he gave his answer. “I don’t know. But I do know that I’m going to do everything in my power to keep that from happening.” Flashing him a smile, (Y/N) took Eddie’s hand from under her chin and brought it to her lips. It was a soft kiss, a thank you without words.
It made Eddie melt.
Closing her locker, the duo made their way to history, hoping that no one would bother them, and that the day would be only for them.
Eddie was quite surprised that none of the popular kids tried anything. Even during lunch, there was silence. He was sure that was when they were going to strike and officially cause a scene.
He had (Y/N) sit with him and the rest of Hellfire. Jeff and Gareth were surprised when she sat down, and even more, surprised when Eddie revealed they were dating. However, their cover was almost blown by Dustin and Mike — the latter having been informed of the situation over the weekend — with their terrible acting. But other than that, lunch was peaceful.
The day was just about over when Eddie and (Y/N) ran into trouble.
They were talking outside of (Y/N)’s car, making plans to hang out and set up a possible campaign that (Y/N) could join. They were discussing her character when Jason and his friends made their way over. Eddie instantly noticed the girl’s demeanor change, her whole body tensing up.
“There they are!” her ex exclaimed. “The golden couple! The talk of the town! The Freak and the Bitch.”
“What did you say?” Eddie’s fist clenched as he blocked (Y/N) from Carver’s eye line.
“I think you heard me, freak. Can’t say I’m surprised, (Y/N). You always were a little whore. Even before you and I were together.”
“You—” Eddie started. However, he stopped himself when his girl stepped in front of him. Her body language had drastically changed. Before him, was no longer the tensed, timid girl, but a confident woman who looked ready to punch Jason Carver in the face.
“Can’t say I’m surprised about you, Jason,” she answered, a powerful boom coming from her voice. Her fists were clenched, but her body was relaxed.
“What do you mean?”
“This morning I was so sure that you were going to cause a scene for everybody to watch. But now that I think back on it, I find myself laughing at the thought. You see, Jason, you were always a coward, even before we started dating. You did what you could to hold power over me, over everyone, but you can’t control me anymore. And seeing as the only witnesses you brought for your ‘takedown’ are Patrick and Andy, it won’t be hard for me to forge a completely different story than the one you had planned.”
“Oh, really?” he scoffed, folding his arms in front of his chest. “You think you can change this?”
“Yeah, because all it takes is one black eye or broken nose, for you to be done.” Jason and his gang laughed at her words.
“You think you can take me?”
It was (Y/N)’s turn to laugh. “Carver, I know I can take you.”
It was easy for her to get under his skin, now that she could, and she was ready to ride that high for the rest of her life. With barely a break in her step, (Y/N) dodged a punch from Jason. Winding up her own, she released her fist, hitting him square in the nose, ultimately breaking it. His friends jumped back, looking toward her, back at their friend, then her again.
Smirking, (Y/N) puffed out her chest, pretending to wind up another punch. The two cowards tugged on Jason’s arms before running away. Jason wallowed as he held his face in his hands, blood seeping through his finger. Eddie was in disbelief.
All this time, he took (Y/N) (Y/L/N) as a small, shy, shadow when she actually had the power to break someone’s face wide open. Her act was beyond breathtaking, and although he’d never admit it to anyone, the breakage of Jason’s nose just made her that much more attractive to him.
“You little, bitch,” Jason finally mustered to say, still clutching his face. “You’ll pay for that.”
“No, I won’t, Jason. Do you know why? Because if you hurt me or my boyfriend or any of our friends, I will tell everyone about what happened here today. I’ll tell the whole cheerleader squad how you got your nose broken by a photography student who dabbles in the fine arts. I’ll tell the rest of your basketball bullies that you got your ass kicked by a girl who knows the entirety of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I will shout it from the rooftop that you couldn’t handle your own against your own fucking shadow.
“Because you, Jason, are nothing but a sad loser who couldn’t handle dating a girl with her own mind. You took everything away from me and made me weak because you couldn’t handle someone independent. You made me question my entire existence on this planet when I didn’t agree with you on every little thing. I am done being your toy, and I’ll be damned if you have anything to say about it.”
Jason nodded, his shoulders slacking, his eyes beginning to bruise, and his hands still covered in blood. (Y/N) waited with bated breath for him to say something, anything, that would rebuttal her words.
Yet, he stayed silent and that was all she needed to hear.
Sighing at his defeat, Jason Carver turned around and walked back toward the gym, where his buddies had run off. As she let go, releasing a breath she didn’t know she was holding, (Y/N) could feel her whole body loosen.
She felt so free. Like no one was able to touch her. It was the best feeling in the world.
Turning back to a very stunned Eddie, she couldn’t help but laugh. “What the fuck was that, (Y/L/N)? Where did all that come from?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know. I had this burning feeling in my chest like I needed to finally say something to him. Then he kept calling you a freak and that side of me took over.”
“And how do you feel?”
“Like I’m unstoppable.”
Eddie grinned. “That’s great. I’m proud of you. Hey, now you don’t have to deal with that punk. You can just spend all your time with me.”
(Y/N) smiled back, slowly walking towards the metalhead. “What makes you think I’m going to spend all my time with you?”
“Because I’m gorgeous and my people skills are off the charts. Plus, I’m still your boyfriend for the rest of the week, at least.”
(Y/N)’s smile grew as a flood of heat swept up her body. He wasn’t wrong. They agreed until Jason was effectively leaving her alone and/or had a new girlfriend, that they would still “be together.” The thought of Eddie being gone from (Y/N)’s life and not being her boyfriend now sounded insane to her, but she figured she’d deal with that when the time came.
“Alright, you caught me there, demon boy,” she smirked, placing her hands on either side of him as she leaned against the car, effectively trapping him. Her smirk grew as she noticed the same heat that rushed into her body, rushed into his. She liked seeing the hold she had on him. It felt right.
“So, you’ll still hang out with me?”
“Until the cows come home.” Her blush grew as she leaned in, closing the space that was between them. (Y/N) felt on fire with this kiss, it was different from all the previous pecks he had given her. Such passion and earnestness that (Y/N) couldn’t help but slip out a moan. Her sound caused a great spring of butterflies to erupt in Eddie’s stomach. Pulling her closer by the hips, Eddie deepened the kiss, hoping to elicit more beautiful sounds.
They stayed like that for a while, passionately making out before (Y/N) pulled away, desperately needing air. The two huffed and puffed, coming down from their high, neither one the wiser that no one was around.
Therefore, breaking their first rule.

Jason is a televangelist who constantly receives calls from the same caller.
Always that Eddie Munson trying to aggravate him with blasphemous questions.
“Are you sure ALL witchcraft is bad? Even if I heal someone it’s bad?”
“God does not want us to rely on demons for healing. All we have to do is pray. Would you like for me to pray with you? Do you need healing?”
And even though Eddie keeps trying to antagonize this young, hot televangelist, Jason continuously tries to convert Eddie every time he calls.
“You know,” Jason starts, “why don’t you consider giving your life to Christ and being born again?”
“Born again? Does this mean I’ll be immortal?”
“God doesn’t grant immortality—“
“Oh, c’mon, every time I call you turn me off to your religion.”
“However, you will be granted eternal life. Whaddya say?”
“Hmm…I dunno. Sounds cool, but—“
“Why don’t you call us back at the end of the broadcast and you can come to the studio to meet with me?”
“You sure? My devil talk won’t scare the shit out of you?”
“I—no—but—can you please not swear while we’re live?”
“Shit, sorry—sorry.”
So after they meet, they have lunch meetings and they go back and forth about religion, but really they’re both trying to charm each other into changing their ways.
The question is: who converts who first? Does Eddie corrupt Jason? Or will Jason convert Eddie?

No, but people genuinely think that Jason.. the person who started a riot and a cult-hunt over an innocent Eddie, was so oblivious to his girlfriend’s problems that she ended up searching for drugs, had his friend tackle an eleven year old girl, strangled Lucas, pointed a gun at him, and smashed what I believe was a lamp over his head.. is better than the inconvenient, abandoned abuse victim who pushed Lucas against a wall, threatened the group, fought with Steve, grabbed Max who would’ve gotten him beaten by his dad if she did anything wrong, and then apologized numerous times— in full-on tears— after being attacked and flayed with no one to save him, and literally got himself fucking killed for a complete stranger and her friends? No, cause what the actual fuck?
