wooohooo oh boy i am so glad you asked anon!!

here's my mini thesis on how bandee could have easily had extremely cool upgrades in katfl and worn many hats and yet still have been totally recognisable!

no more "is that one waddle dee supposed to be him or not" (i'm looking at u, official art + merch. give my boy his hat!!!), because as it turns out he's actually got plenty of reoccurring motifs that you can use to make it clear it's him no matter what he's doing or wearing!

each of these would also have a specific move-set and gimmick, enhancing his existing abilities or giving him a totally refreshed playstyle (yes i have thought about this a lot).

None of the ace trainers, except Shauntal and Marshal, liked Grimsley- one of the trainers chosen by Alder.

He was secretive, vague, engaged in dubious activities after their rigorous training sessions- not to mention he had a horrible habit of running late, as if he wasn't blessed with the opportunity to become a professional trainer.

He had no discipline or values to upheld in the midst of the battle- why he still remained as a top contender for the spot of an Elite Four's successor was anyone's guess.

Flashy as ever, Grimsley makes his bright and elegant entrance in the lobby, as if he hadn't delayed today's major tournament by over half an hour.

Before he receives a rare scolding from his mentor Alder, or is barraged by the cries of his fellow trainers- a small child trots alongside him, hand in hand.

Almost entertained by the impatient crowd huddling around the doorway, anticipating his arrival, he waves a hand with a carefree smile.

"Hey, sorry for running late! My old man had something to do- and someone's got to pick up the little one from daycare, right?"

Loving a four eyed

At first it felt like the glasses are third wheeling

I was losing & the glasses were winning

He sees through me from those glasses only

I accept he need 'em to see me closely

I've had to say goodbye to all the 3D movies

So we communicate more with dates of smoothies

Yeah, they do come in between when we'd be kissin'

But its so cute and maybe this is what I keep finding my bliss in

His knowledge can surely keep me on mute

However mine's also ain't too acute

And isn't just a nerd but has a unique style

He can dance, be crazy, be wild & make me melt like a child

He says that his glasses and me are both his love for his life

And he can see through me clearly & will help me get through hard times

And if his life tilts a bit, i'll be the one bring it back to balance

And neither will I see him suffer in silence, i'll see through him from my two sharp eyes

First time I found shopping tiring, shopping for frames

When at the end the first one was the one he always proclaims

Plus point he also loves shopping

So, maybe one day he'll get me a wedding ring

'cause now that every morning he wakes next to me

Even without his glasses, he can see his world in me, clearly

And well, it'll be a bit hard for hot coffee or tea in morning time

Plus it'd be confusing to look in his four eyes but he'll clearly look into mine
