pairing: Felix Catton/Reader
summary: Felix Catton is well-liked by practically everyone he meets, from teachers to peers and strangers. He catches the gazes of anyone as he enters a space; he’s often the thrumming energy that determines exactly how a night will go. Felix’s name lives everywhere, from the pulsing rhythm of rowdy parties to the quiet whispers across the school courtyard. Anyone who’s anyone knows Felix Catton. As an unassuming student at Oxford with no particular desire for wealth, luxurious parties, or hesitant smiles from across a dimly-lit pub, you’re not sure how to feel about that. However, you soon find your quiet student life thrown into a whirlwind of activity when you have to tutor Felix.
The reader’s pronouns are unspecified, but they are written to wear masculine clothing. (I'm of the opinion that anyone can rock a dress shirt & slacks, but whatever). Otherwise, no physical descriptors are used; the reader's race and gender are ambiguous.
The title of this fic is from Drift Away, the Steven Universe song.
word count: ...7.3k. i don't want to talk about it. 💀

ao3 version
You enjoy being a tutor at Oxford. It doesn’t pay incredibly well, but the work itself is rewarding enough for you to forgive the meager wages. You genuinely look forward to your sessions, to seeing the bright gleam in a student’s eyes as they begin to understand the material in a way they hadn’t before. You muse on the thought as you walk into the library, heading for your usual table and arranging your materials. Your next session is in a few minutes, so you spend your spare time reviewing your notes from your previous class.
Someone pointedly clears their throat and you look up, only to find yourself staring at another student. He has messy brown hair, warm brown eyes, and an easy smile on his face. He looks self-assured, yet there’s a slight sense of apprehension veiled in the way he shoves his hands in his pockets. “Hello,” you decide to say.
“..Hello.” He responds casually.
There’s an awkward beat of silence. Feeling eyes on you, you glance to the side, only to find a few people staring at you from a few tables away. They must be his friends. You shake your head and pretend not to have noticed, instead turning your attention to your laptop. “You must be… Felix?” You ask.
“Yes,” Felix responds, amusement glimmering in his eyes as if he expects you to know exactly who he is.
“Great, have a seat,” you say, not bothering to pay him a second glance. You pull up the email you received from the tutoring center, which shows the coursework he’s bringing in. “You have… a philosophy essay?” Felix nods, taking a seat and going through his backpack. “Awesome. Can you tell me a little about the assignment?”
Within a few minutes, it’s clear that Felix is an extroverted person. Moreover, he seems to be rather popular—several people passing by clap him on the shoulder as they walk past him. Thankfully, the gestures aren’t super distracting. Still, you find yourself a little surprised at the sheer amount of friends this guy appears to have.
But that’s not important, you scold yourself. You revert your attention to his philosophy essay, which is off to a great start. Admittedly, he has a solid foundation—he just seems to need guidance working with transitioning between ideas. His citations could use some work, too, but you’re quick to refer him to the proper resources. Overall, though, his essay is well-crafted. You tell him as much, and his eyes momentarily widen before he averts his gaze, suddenly appearing flustered.
You still can’t shake the feeling that you’re being watched, though. It’s not Felix’s friends this time, either. You don’t realize how preoccupied you are with the feeling until Felix draws attention to it.
“Do you know him?” He asks, just as you’re in the middle of reading a sentence. You pause and look up, following Felix’s gaze to somewhere in the distance. Sure enough, Michael is lurking in the corner of two bookshelves, his eyes nearly burning into you.
“Yeah, that’s Michael,” At Felix’s inquiring look, you continue. “I’ve seen him around. Talked to him once or twice.” You admit. We’re not really friends gets caught in your throat. Admittedly, Michael creeps you out a little, but you’d never say that out loud.
Felix raises an eyebrow, twirls his pencil around his finger. He seems to be in his element now, as he sprawls in his chair with all the ease and confidence of someone who has never needed to make an effort for appearances. “He seems to think you’re friends,” Felix remarks lightly.
“He seems to think a lot of things,” you respond before you can stop yourself. Felix chuckles. “Back to your paper.” You say, returning your attention to your peer’s work.
The reminder of the tutoring session is rather uneventful. Felix is skilled at writing, and you can’t help but wonder if he’s struggling simply because he isn’t doing the work. You suppose you have no way of knowing for sure. He’s made small comments here and there about his writing and why he’s here today—apparently his parents issued him an ultimatum and pretty much forced him to show up for tutoring. The session goes rather well, though—even despite the fact that he seemed rather uninterested at the beginning.
“Alright,” you sigh once your time is up, placing a hand over the top of your laptop and shutting it ever so slightly. “Any last questions before we wrap up?” You ask him. Felix blinks for a moment.
“I don’t think so,” he responds with a shake of his head. He begins to pack up his things, before looking at you once more. There’s a newfound conviction in his frame now. Felix slings his bag over his shoulder, pausing for a moment. “You were super helpful.” He admits, looking away as if the admission is difficult to make.
“Good!” You say relievedly. You’re always thrilled to hear that your peers feel as if they’ve gotten something from the tutoring. Your own beliefs can only go so far, after all. Just because you perceive a session to be helpful doesn’t mean it’s helpful to the other student. You shake your head to clear your thoughts. “Glad to hear it. Enjoy your day, and best of luck with your classes.”
Felix returns the sentiment, sending you one last unreadable look before walking over to the group that you had assumed to be his friends. They greet him with enthusiasm, evidently asking him questions about the time he spent working with you. Whatever he responds with must be intriguing, because the group’s gazes pivot back to you once more. You quickly focus on packing your bag, resolutely ignoring the attentive eyes burning into your back as you leave the library.
Felix slips from your mind rather easily after that day, especially when your course load increases and your work schedule grows a bit more intense. You soon find yourself in a rather stringent routine, in which you go to classes, tutor, go to more classes, eat meals in between, and go to sleep. It’s not ideal, but you enjoy tutoring and your schoolwork enough to push through it.
You’re walking to one of your classes when you hear someone call your name. At first, you’re convinced you imagined the remark. It isn’t until there’s suddenly an arm slung around your shoulder that you realize you likely heard correctly. The unexpected physical contact prompts you to look to the side, only to find Felix staring at you with a sheepish smile.
“Hey, there you are,” he remarks. “I’ve been looking for you.” You reflexively stiffen at the thought, but the gesture goes unnoticed. Felix’s grip is relentless, and you soon find yourself being pushed towards the courtyard off the stone path and near a small group of people. These must be Felix’s friends from before.
“Mates, this is the tutor who saved my ass last week,” Felix tells his friends, his arm still around your shoulder. You resist the compelling urge to shove him away. “Say hello.” He says to his friends, before turning to you again. “I owe you a drink sometime.”
“I’m not much of a drinker,” you say with a shake of your head. You don’t have much time for that with your current schedule. A hangover would be nothing but an inconvenience considering how early you’ve had to wake up the past few days. “But thanks anyway.”
“Ciggie?” He offers, his arm finally falling from your shoulders to pull a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. You’re suddenly hit with a strange shiver, a phantom sensation of the weight that rested there only a moment prior. You don’t realize that you haven’t answered the question until a few moments later.
“No thanks,” you remember to respond, ignoring his friends’ gazes burning into your skin again. Do they have nothing better to do than tear you apart with their eyes?  “Good to see you.” You’re quick to try to end the conversation, but Felix is quicker.
“Hey, are you free tonight?” He asks. Somehow, he seems immune to his friends’ stares, as they’re all whispering conspiratorially amongst themselves. You resolutely ignore them and instead contemplate his question.
“Um.. no,” you say, after taking a moment to recall your schedule. You need to complete some coursework. “Why? Do you have an assignment?” You frown, trying to think back to the classes he said he’s taking.
“No,” Felix responds with a shake of his head. He gestures to the group. “We were going out to the pub.”
“I have an essay to write,” you remark, trying to sound disappointed. Maybe a small part of you is genuinely saddened at the conflict of plans, but you’re mostly just relieved to have an excuse not to go. You glance over at the clock in the courtyard, heart beginning to race when you notice your next class starts in two minutes. “I have to go to class. See you.” You turn on your heel and walk away, just barely hearing Felix’s goodbye over the nearby conversations.
“Your tutor’s kind of dodgy, eh, mate?” Farleigh says.
“No, not at all,” Felix responds with a shake of his head. The expression on his face is thoughtful, and his eyes are fixed on your turned back.
“If you say so,” Farleigh shrugs, taking another drag.
You hadn’t realized Felix was so popular. Now that you’ve met him, you hear whispers of him all around the school. Everyone seems to have an opinion on him one way or another. You’ve only conversed with him the few times you’ve seen him in tutoring sessions and around campus, but he seems nice enough.
Classes fly by, to your satisfaction. Your last class of the day ends a bit after the regular dinner hour, but you manage to sneak into the dining hall and snag some food before the space closes. After that, you’re content to return to your room. It’s been a long day and you could use some time to yourself to just relax and breathe.
Unfortunately, your suffering doesn’t end when you reach your residence hall. Instead, the moment you enter, you nearly crash into a woman waiting in front of a door. You manage to sidestep her and head up the stairs leading to the next floor.
“Hey, have you seen Felix?” Her voice echoes in the stairway. You freeze and turn to look down at the woman standing on the landing. She has bright red hair and glittering makeup coating her eyes. You feel your brows climb up your forehead as you realize that the door she’s standing in front of must lead to Felix’s room. You didn’t realize he lived in this building too.
“They’re all at the pub,” you answer after a few moments, recalling your conversation earlier. “At least, that’s what he said when I spoke to him earlier.”
She doesn’t seem satisfied with your answer, as she takes a deep breath. “Do you have alcohol?” She then asks.
“No,” you answer honestly. Felix’s friend stares at you for a moment, before huffing and walking away. You can’t find the energy to dissect that conversation, so you instead focus on unlocking the door to your room. You spend the rest of the night purposefully suppressing any thoughts of Felix and his friends.
When you wake the next morning, you feel somewhat rejuvenated and well-rested. Your essay is more than halfway done and you still have a few days before the due date. The sun is out and shining, casting a hazy glow over the courtyard that your room looks out on. You take a deep breath, before changing and brushing your teeth. You head to the dining hall for a small breakfast, before moving to the library for your first tutoring session of the day.
You’re not sure how much time you spend waiting for your peer to show, but you reckon it can’t be that long. It only feels like ten minutes pass before there’s a shadow passing over your vision, indicating that someone is standing over your table. You look up, unable to contain your surprise when you find Felix with a bag slung over his shoulder and a smile on his face.
“Hi,” you remark.
“Hey,” he responds, placing his bag on the ground and sitting down. You take the gifted opportunity to review the information given to you for the tutoring session. It appears Felix has another philosophy essay he wants you to look at. That shouldn’t be too bad. You give him a moment to get his things out, before diving right into his writing.
You’re happy to realize that he has used some of your tips from your first session. You already notice that the flow of his writing has improved, and his use of transition words at the beginning of each paragraph has aided in that regard. He has a few grammar errors—nothing major—and a few small citation mistakes. “Instead of listing all the authors, you can just say ‘Marks et al.’ here,” you point out, gesturing to the sentence that you’re looking at on the screen. Felix nods silently and adjusts the text.
“I heard you spoke with Annabel the other day,” he remarks, apropos of nothing. You’re abruptly thrown off track as your attention turns from the paper to Felix himself. He repeats his statement.
“Really?” You ask. Felix nods. “Sure, we spoke for a bit.” You return to reading his essay, confused by the sudden change in subject.
“What did you talk about?” He presses.
“She asked if I had seen you,” you answer, trying and failing to multitask. You eventually give up on reading for the time being and address his question. “I said no.”
“And?” Felix prompts.
“And that was it,” you finish. Felix still doesn’t seem convinced for some reason. You rack your brain and try to remember your interaction with the woman. It only happened a few days ago, but you’ve been so busy that it feels like a lifetime ago.  “Oh, she asked me if I had alcohol. I said no. Then that was it.” You must imagine the momentary look of relief on his face.
“She called you prickly,” Felix continues, a mischievous smile on his face. You’re not sure what there is to smile about.
“I’m sure,” you respond disinterestedly. You’d like to go back to reading his paper, but he keeps diverting your attention and changing the subject. Before you can even attempt to try reading again, there’s suddenly a hand on the edge of your laptop, pushing your screen down ever so slightly. You look up to find Felix watching you rather closely.
“Who are you, exactly?” Felix asks. The library around you seems to fall silent with the remark. Your skin prickles. Why is there such an intent look on his face? Surely learning more about you doesn’t matter that much to him. Felix evidently notices you’re speechless and continues. “I don’t know anything about you. I’ve seen you around campus a few times, but that’s it.”
“I’m your tutor,” you respond, after taking a moment to collect your thoughts. Your heart is hammering away in your chest. “You don’t need to know anything about me.”
“What if I want to?”
“You wouldn’t want to,” you reply instinctively, warily. Alarm bells are ringing in your head. You can’t quite imagine a scenario in which Felix Catton, wealthy heir and avid partygoer, would ever benefit from knowing anything about you. Does he even notice how much attention he’s drawing, just sitting here with you right now? Even his friends are confused by his supposed interest in you. “I’m nothing special.” You try to look at his essay once more.
“That’s not true,” Felix says insistently, getting to his feet and placing his hand on your laptop once more. He’s ripping your eyes away from the screen and towards him. There’s an indignant expression on his face, as if he’s insulted by your claim. You blink up at him in confusion. If everyone in the library wasn’t staring already, then they certainly are now. Felix seems to regain his composure, as he shakes his head and moves to sit down once more.
There’s a palpable tension lingering in the air throughout the rest of your session. Felix seems anchored to his chair, as if he doesn’t want to leave. Eventually, you’re the one to leave first, as you have class in a few minutes. You can feel his eyes on your back as you walk away, imploring you to explain yourself further.
You’re not sure what there is to explain. Despite your prior promises not to pay attention to the rumors and whispers of your peers, you can’t help but acknowledge them. You have to wonder if some of it is true—if Felix doesn’t really do friends , if he is only interested in people for whatever they can offer him. Truthfully, Felix isn’t a person you would’ve interacted with. If not for tutoring, you’re sure you would’ve spent your entire time at Oxford knowing absolutely nothing about him and being unable to explain the strange stirring feeling of dislike in your chest. It’s too late now, though. It seems you can’t go back to the way things once were—not when Felix knows who you are now. You just have to hope that maybe, just maybe, he’ll realize that there’s nothing particularly compelling about you.
For a while, you don’t see Felix Catton and you are fooled into thinking he may have actually lost interest. You feel relieved at the thought. A small, traitorous part of you may long for the company he provides—the soft smiles he sends you, the glitter in his eyes as he speaks to you and only you. It was only for the best that you drifted apart, you think to yourself as you take an armchair in the library. The end of the semester is approaching, and you’ve taken every free moment to study and review course materials. Many other students seem to have the same idea as you, as the library has been a bit busier these past few weeks.
You barely get to start rereading your notes before a familiar voice is speaking to you. “My parents were impressed.” You look up to find Felix standing over you. It takes you several seconds to process his statement.
“With what?” You ask. Admittedly, you’re confused as to why he felt the need to approach you right now of all times. You’re sitting alone at a table in the library, and a few students are throwing you dirty looks as Felix continues to speak to you. You want nothing more than to sink into the ground and disappear forever.
“My philosophy grade, of course,” Felix remarks, taking the chair adjacent to you. You feel like everyone in the library is staring at you. When you look up, you find that a few students actually are—Felix’s friends at another table are among them. Felix seems immune to the attention he provokes. “They really want to meet you.” That surprises you. Why would his parents want to meet you? Because of your tutoring? All these questions must show on your face, because Felix elaborates. “They wanted to thank you.”
That’s surprising. “Are they visiting Oxford soon?” You ask curiously.
“No,” Felix answers. Your brows furrow and he shakes his head. “I meant this summer. You should join us at Saltburn.” He looks at you expectantly. You don’t have the faintest clue what Saltburn is, but you guess it must be a name for their residence. Judging from what you’ve heard of the Cattons, Saltburn is likely a very large, very extravagant mansion.
You blink at Felix once, twice. The expression on his face holds nothing but complete sincerity. You feel a laugh crawl out of your throat. It’s only until you see his face fall that you realize he’s not joking. “Oh, you’re serious,” you comprehend aloud. “Yeah, I could stop by.”
“I’d like you there,” he confesses. You feel your eyes widen as you stare at him in disbelief. “Is that so hard to believe?” Felix asks, looking at you skeptically.
Yes. Yes, it is. “...No.”
“You don’t sound convinced,” Felix says lightly. It almost looks as if he’s forcing a smile.
“You’re right,” you acquiesce, “I’m not convinced.”
Felix huffs in amusement, before pushing himself out of the chair and sending you a wave over his shoulder. You watch him leave, unable to shake the feeling that, somehow, you’re going to be roped into visiting his parents at their residence this summer.
Two months later, as you find yourself staring up at the splendor of Saltburn, you think you shouldn’t be as surprised as you are. Then again, a summons from James and Elspeth Catton isn’t exactly something you can ignore. You tug your suitcase across the rocky driveway, before arriving at the gargantuan wooden doors at the entrance. For a moment, there’s nothing but silence as you stand there. A few moments later, the doors swing open and you’re greeted by a man in a tuxedo—evidently a butler of some sort. He takes you into a beautifully ornate room with sunlight streaming in past ornate golden curtains. Thankfully, you’re not left to your own devices for long, as you hear footsteps echoing through the space.
Felix walks through the doorway, his expression brightening when he sees you. “I’m glad you’re here,” he says. The sincerity of his statement catches you off guard. Felix takes a step closer to break the distance between you and slings an arm around your shoulders, leading you past the butler and towards the edge of the room. You’re hit with whiplash—both because of the surprisingly heartfelt remark and the rapidity of Felix’s actions. Felix proceeds to take you on an informal tour of the residence, before leading you through his bedroom and the adjacent bathroom to your room.
“Hope you don’t mind sharing a bathroom,” he remarks offhandedly, leading you into the space that will be your bedroom. You assure him that you don’t mind and he grins, gesturing at your new room with a flourish. “Here’s your room. I’ll leave you to it.” He freezes in the doorway, pressing a hand to the doorframe and turning around for a brief moment. “We’ll be in the sitting room,” Felix adds, before turning back around and walking away.
You stare at the empty doorway for an immeasurable amount of time, before letting your gaze wander across the room. The room is quite gorgeous, with an elegant four poster bed and detailed paintings adorning the walls. The door leads to the bathroom, which then connects to Felix’s bedroom. You’re grateful that he placed you near him—you’re not sure you’d be comfortable inhabiting a room on the other side of the house, with no one around to guide you. You place your luggage off to the side—after telling the butler that you could carry it on your own—and take a deep breath. Truthfully, you’re not really sure why you’re here. You’re only going to humiliate yourself here. You don’t belong here. Why did you even entertain the thought?
You try to come up with an answer as you pace around the room, before finally deciding that there isn’t a clear-cut answer. You glance over at the clock in the corner, eyes widening when you realize that you spent at least twenty minutes just standing in the room and thinking. You take a few cautious steps into the bathroom, walk through Felix’s bedroom, and go down the hall Felix pointed out earlier. You quickly realize that you’re going in the wrong direction and backpedal, only to find a door left nearly closed, with a small crack letting the sound of conversation slip into the hall. This must be the sitting room.
You take a deep breath, steel your nerves, and knock on the door. Someone remarks that you can enter and you do so, pushing the door open more and stepping into the sitting room. The television is playing, but everyone’s eyes seem to be on you. Felix is sitting in the corner and his friend—Farleigh?—is sitting near the back of the room. You don’t get much time to take in your surroundings, as you’re quickly accosted by who you can only assume to be Felix’s father.
“Ah, you must be the tutor,” he remarks, getting up from his seat. “So wonderful to meet you. I’m James, and this is my wife, Elspeth.” You shake his proffered hand, before lingering awkwardly in the center of the room. Thankfully, Elspeth gets up to greet you, saving you from further embarrassment.
“I suppose you’re the one we owe for our son’s wonderful grades this term!” Elspeth remarks, bringing you in for a hug. Felix huffs and mutters something about not needing the help. You feel somewhat inclined to defend him, for reasons you can’t quite explain.
“Don’t give me too much credit,” you smile. “Felix is a great writer.”
Felix mutters something again, too quiet for you to hear. His mother turns to him and asks him to repeat himself. He averts his eyes and you swear you see him flush for a split second. “Not as great as you.”
“Well, aren’t you the flatterer,” Elspeth says, waving a casual hand at her son. Her gaze then turns back to you. “And you. So humble! I can see why Felix talks about you so much.” Felix freezes like a deer in headlights, before quickly leaving the room, murmuring about talkative mothers. You stare after him helplessly. There goes the only person that finds you even mildly tolerable.
“We are very thankful for your help, truly,” James says, crossing his leg over his knee. “Felix has always been a good student, but this term, he… he’s been different. We’re glad that he’s gotten his affairs back in order. With your assistance, of course! You must show me your writing sometime.”
“Thank you,” you respond sincerely. “I’d love to. And thank you so much for inviting me into your home.”
“So polite!” Elspeth remarks, shooting a dirty look at the other woman in the room. You quickly pretend you didn’t notice that. “Of course, darling.”
You’re left to sit awkwardly in the sitting room for a few moments. Felix’s parents ask you a few questions, but eventually their attention falls back to the program they’re watching. A shadow at the door draws your eye and you see Felix motioning for you to follow after him. You glance at his parents, who both motion for you to join their son. You get to your feet and walk out of the room, ignoring the sensation of a pressured gaze boring holes into your back.
“Sorry about that,” Felix apologizes, once the two of you are turning the corner and walking down the hall.
“About what?” You ask, glancing at him. “Your parents seem nice.”
Felix just sighs and shakes his head. You don’t think you can even begin to truly comprehend the emotions behind that simple gesture, so you decide to simply succumb to the silence that spreads across the air.
You spend the rest of the afternoon reading one of the books in the library. You don’t realize that it’s time for dinner until Felix is entering the space and practically dragging you along behind him to the dining room.
“I hear your birthday is coming up,” Felix’s father, James, remarks at some point throughout the meal. You look up from where you’d been absently poking at your food. There’s an expectant look on his face. You have to wonder how he knows when your birthday is. You don’t remember telling anyone about it—except for Felix, perhaps.  “Yes, it is,” you agree.
“Have any grand plans?” Elspeth suggests. Her eyes quickly light up. You’re suddenly filled with trepidation. “Oh, we should have a birthday party! We could invite all your friends!” You freeze on instinct. You’re not the biggest fan of parties, and you know you definitely don’t have enough friends at Oxford to fill a place as big as Saltburn for a party. Felix’s mother glances at you expectantly, immune to your internal crisis.
You’re saved from responding by Felix’s remark. “You’re not really a party person, are you?” He asks. His parents’ gazes focus on you and you nearly sag in relief, feeling the tension seep from your shoulders.
“Oh, nonsense,” Elspeth remarks. Shit, you think. “Everyone loves parties! We’ll have to make it themed…” You resist a groan. It’s too late. Felix’s mother and father are already chattering about the details of the party, the number of people they’ll invite… You don’t want to appear ungrateful, so you stifle your objections and spend the rest of the meal staring at the wall ahead.
When dinner is finished, Felix is the first one to depart. He stares at you pointedly and gestures wordlessly to the exit. You get the idea and practically jump from your seat, grateful for an excuse to leave. You walk behind Felix, pretending not to notice how broad his shoulders are. “Sorry about that,” Felix grimaces, his back turned as he continues walking, “My mother has a bit of a one track mind, sometimes.”
“It’s fine,” you remark. You can survive one party. Besides, it may actually be enjoyable. You tell him as much and he seems to brighten up at that. That night, you recline on your mattress with thoughts flooding your mind, leaving you awake for longer than you’d like. Eventually, the curtain falls and your vision fades to black.
When you open your eyes, you find yourself standing on the balcony of the mansion, overlooking the yard. There are clothes and discarded drinks littering the previously spotless grass. What disturbs you most of all, however, is the franticness with which everyone seems to be conducting themselves. You stare out at the wreckage that must’ve come from the party and take a deep breath.
“What happened?” You ask Farleigh after walking down the steps. The expression on his face is grave and panicked at the same time. He’s wading through the pond and soaking his clothes, but he hardly seems to notice.
“We can’t find Felix,” he responds, his eyes flitting about the area. There’s a horrible tugging feeling in your stomach as you realize that Farleigh’s looking for Felix in the water. Did something happen to him? You swallow hard and walk around the grounds, trying to comprehend how Felix could have gone missing in such a short time.
Out of nowhere, Venetia screams. Feeling a shiver roll down your spine, you race over in the direction of the voice, only to find yourself running through the overgrown walls of the maze. You see Venetia’s blond hair and you quickly run over to her, only to freeze when you see what she screamed about. Felix is lying motionless in the center of the maze. You feel an itching feeling in the back of your throat, a burning sensation behind your eyes. Farleigh arrives and gasps; Venetia starts crying. You don’t know what to do, as you stand helplessly before your peer, your friend. James arrives and takes a shuddering breath, eyes glassy as he stares at the corpse of his son. For a long moment, nothing can be heard except for Farleigh and Venetia’s sobs and your ragged breathing.
“We need to move him,” James announces. You stare at him in disbelief. How is he even functioning right now? He sounds eerily calm despite the gravity of the situation.
Apparently, you don’t react fast enough, because James’s hands are soon on your shoulders and he’s shoving you towards the body. You just barely catch yourself from falling over. The patriarch grabs Felix’s shoulders and prompts for you to grab his ankles. You’re shaking. You can’t move. Tears sliding down your face, you reach down to touch the corpse—only to recoil at how cold the skin is. Suddenly, there’s a harsh sound and Felix’s body is sinking beneath the earth, engulfed by soil and pebbles—
You gasp and open your eyes, only to find yourself in your room once more. You try to breathe, but the effort burns. Sweat coats your skin and your limbs are shaky. With trembling hands, you reach out to the nightstand and take a few sips of water, before wiping the sweat from your brows. The sheets on the bed are a mess—you must’ve been tossing and turning. Your breaths are still laborious, and your chest is beginning to ache. You mechanically get out of bed and make your way to the bathroom, standing in front of the sink. Your reflection in the mirror is grim—dark circles under your eyes and a firm pull to your lips. You reach down and turn on the water, letting the freezing temperature ground you in reality. Eventually, you reach down and douse your face with cold water.
Once you’re finished, you grab a towel and dry off your face. “Hey, are you okay?” You nearly jump out of your body at the sudden voice. You wipe any remaining water droplets away, recognizing the voice as Felix’s. “I heard a scream.”
“Sorry, didn’t mean to wake you up,” you mumble, rubbing a hand over your face. The water helped, but you still feel jittery and unsettled. You grasp at the edges of the sink and resolutely look down at the counter.
“Are you okay?” Felix asks again. You finally turn around, only for your mouth to go dry as your gaze settles on your friend. Felix is standing in the doorway, healthy and happy and alive. It’s such a harsh contrast from the Felix you had seen in your dreams—a pale, frozen shell of himself. Before you can recognize what you’re doing, you’re surging forward to wrap your arms around Felix. To his credit, he doesn’t flinch or push you away—instead, he pulls you close with a hand on the nape of your neck. You feel self conscious for getting so worked up about a dream, but it just felt so real. You could feel the weight of his dead body in your hands.
“Did you have a nightmare or something?” Felix whispers after a few moments. You nod quietly, not trusting yourself to speak. “I’m sorry.” He’s the one apologizing, after you made too much noise and woke him in the middle of the night with your terror. You just shake your head wordlessly.
You’re not sure how much time you spend standing there, Felix’s arms enveloping you. Eventually, the edges of the nightmare begin to fade away and your friend’s presence is undeniable. Felix is safe, you tell yourself. He is fine.
Breaking away from him feels far more difficult than it should be. You immediately miss his warmth, miss the feeling of being shielded from harm. Felix’s arms fall to his sides, before he braces them on the bathroom counter. Taken in by the inexplicable urge to touch him, you place a hand over his and pretend not to hear his startled inhale of breath.
“Thank you,” you murmur.
“Of course,” Felix responds, a note of something imperceptible in his voice. You smile and briefly squeeze his hand, before letting your grip fall away. You wish him good night and head back to your room, pushing aside any lingering convictions that he’s watching your every step. It is much easier to fall asleep once you remember that Felix is but a few steps away, alive and well.
When you wake up hours later, you’re relieved to realize that you feel far better than you did earlier. You didn’t seem to have another nightmare, thankfully. You prepare for the day and change into some casual clothes, before remembering that the party is today. You try to sneak through Felix’s room, only to find that he’s already awake. After he’s ready, the two of you head down to breakfast together. The meal is incredible, as usual.
After breakfast, you return to your room to find clothes on the bed. They’re clearly not yours—the fabric is incredibly luxurious and looks quite expensive. You glance around the room, but there’s no sign of the person who left this attire for you. Upon closer examination, you realize that it’s your exact sizing. You wonder if Felix’s parents got your sizes from the butler and ordered you something. That would certainly be very nice of them.
Secretly, you’re thankful someone had the forethought to provide you clothes. You probably would’ve stuck out like a sore thumb if you had worn any of the clothing you brought from home. After all, you don’t really belong here. You’re just a temporary guest.
With those thoughts in mind, you decide to unfold the clothes—revealing an elegant dress shirt and fine-pressed pants. The shirt is a fabric you’re unfamiliar with, and it shimmers as it catches the light. The color is quite beautiful—a cross between deep green and dark blue. Whoever purchased this outfit has good taste (or a lot of money to burn, or both). You’re almost too scared to put the outfit on, for fear of ruining the expensive fabric. Eventually, you manage to convince yourself to change clothes. As you turn to look at yourself in the mirror, you realize you barely look like yourself. That may be an exaggeration, but you still feel as if you look like an entirely different person—one who fits in here. You’re not sure how to feel about that. You had maintained that you wouldn’t change yourself to fit in at Saltburn, yet here you are—dressed as if these parties are a common occurrence for you. You take a deep breath and leave your room, deciding to walk around to get rid of some of your nerves. You eventually get roped into helping Venetia choose an outfit to wear, which kills some time.
Before long, the sun is setting in the sky and the party is beginning. You have no idea where to go or what to do—you hardly know anyone here. You haven’t caught so much of a glimpse of Felix, Farleigh, or Venetia since the party started. You do manage to find Felix’s parents, and thank them profusely for the party. It’s probably not that big of a deal to them, but you still feel that expressing your gratitude is somewhat necessary.
After that, you eventually manage to find yourself standing in one of the corners of the sprawling maze outside. You feel somewhat fatigued from the minimal social interaction you’ve had thus far, and you figure your absence won’t be a huge deal breaker for any of the other partygoers. They’re not here for you—they’re here for a party. The party just happens to coincide with your birthday. You’re not naive enough to think otherwise.
“Enjoying the party?” A familiar voice cuts through the night air. You turn around, only to find Felix standing at the edge of the maze. He takes a few steps to break the distance between you. You cross your arms over your chest and try to hide how self-conscious you feel.
“Yeah, thanks,” you remark after a moment. “You?”
Felix just nods silently. He’s staring at you intently, his gaze flitting up and down your form. “You look nice.” He says after a moment of silence. His gaze is intense and you feel flames prickling up your skin.
“Thanks,” you respond. You decide to mimic his scrutinizing gaze. “You too.” Not like that’s anything new, you think to yourself. Felix always looks nice. You’re given a reprieve from questioning that thought by Felix’s next remark.
“Happy birthday,” he says.
“Thank you.” You manage to say moments later, once your tongue no longer feels ironed to the roof of your mouth.
“I’m happy you’re here,” Felix murmurs, almost too quietly for you to hear. The night air seems to still around you.
“Me too,” you eventually admit. “It’s been… fun.” You’ve enjoyed this summer, enjoyed the time you’ve gotten to spend with Felix. You never would’ve expected yourself to enjoy spending time in a place like Saltburn, yet here you are.
“I don’t want you to leave,” Felix admits. He’s looking up to the midnight sky as if it holds all the answers. The black wings on his back seem to gleam in the moonlight. He looks like a fallen angel.
“Why?” You ask.
Felix is staring at you as if the answer to that question is extremely obvious. He then rubs a hand over his face, before turning to face the statue in the courtyard. The wings extending from his turned back create a harsh silhouette on the grass. “Why do you think I brought you here?” He suggests.
“Your parents wanted me here,” you recount.
“No,” Felix sighs, “Yes, but… no. That’s not the main reason.” You wait for him to continue. Somehow, this admission seems to be torturing him. He keeps pacing around restlessly, as if unable to keep still. Eventually, he shakes his head and comes to a stop, meeting your eyes.
“I wanted to get to know you better,” Felix admits. “I hoped that, once I got to know you, everything else would go away.” Everything else?  He continues, immune to your confusion and wariness. “It didn’t. You came here, and now, the more I get to know you, the more I want to be around you.”
“Why?” You feel yourself blurting out. The words are spilling from your lips uncontrollably. “I’m just a normal student, an average person.”
“You’re far from it,” Felix argues. “And you should know that by now. You have to know by now.”
“Know…  what?” You dare to say.
Felix puts a hand over his face, evidently trying to gather his thoughts. You keep silent, despite your heart drumming quickly in your chest.  “I have feelings for you,” he says. “Nearly this entire time, I’ve had feelings for you. All throughout this summer.”
Felix has feelings for you? Surely that can’t be the case. Hell, he could have anyone he wanted. He’s almost constantly showered in attention and praise. Why would he want to be with you of all people? You have virtually nothing to offer him that could be useful: you’re not wealthy, nor are you a regular partygoer with a penchant for trouble. You’re just… you.
“You’re the only person that has ever bothered to try to get to know me for me,” Felix explains, as if sensing your self-deprecating thoughts. “Not as the eldest son of the Cattons. Just as Felix.”
“You don’t buy into any of this bullshit,” he continues, his eyes wandering across the walls of the maze. You immediately know he’s referring to the splendor of Saltburn, the unspoken expectations that nearly suffocate the air around you. Felix inhales slowly. “Not to mention, you’re wicked smart. Compassionate. Attractive.”
He’s taking a step towards you. Then another. You don’t stop him, and he pauses in front of you. You don’t think you’ve seen his eyes sparkle like this before.
“Can I kiss you?” Felix asks, his hand slowly rising to break the air between you and fall to cradle your jaw.
You nod wordlessly. For an awkward moment, neither of you move. Felix looks uncharacteristically hesitant. You huff a laugh and break the distance between you, putting your lips to his.
In a few moments, Farleigh and Venetia will come across the both of you and you will each be teased relentlessly for the rest of the night. Felix’s parents will exchange knowing looks when Felix and you walk into breakfast the next morning hand in hand. And Duncan, the butler, will have a wry curve to his lips—an almost indistinguishable smile—to show his hard-won approval. For now, though, you are left to embrace Felix under the shimmering moonlight, surrounded by a labyrinth of hedges and gilded mansion walls that no longer look nearly as intimidating as they once did.
Tumblr media
whewww! i really got carried away there, didn't i? i just adore the idea of Felix being bewildered by someone not falling head over heels for him. like, the irony of him catching feelings for the *one* person who doesn't actually seem to like him... it's just too good.
i *could* write a farleigh/reader fic... so lmk if that's something y'all would want to see. no promises, though. (if i were able to write it, it would probably be much shorter than this fic, bc this one absolutely ran away from me).
anyway, hope you enjoyed this! thanks for reading! <3

you raise your head, eyes scanning along the bank on the opposite side. all you can see is a pair of beady eyes, and long pale fingers pressed onto a large tree branch that's resting on some rocks.

little ripples bounce around the small pebbles rolling in the water, a fish or two swim past, weaving around the little plants growing at the bottom of the lake. it's not too deep, maybe just above your ankles.
a group of small blue fish enter your eyes as you venture further down the bank, pretty pearlescent green scales shining in the late night of the evening sun, their tails so small they'd be no bigger than your iris. gently, you press your hand into the water, trying your hardest not to disturb the fish. when you splay your fingers, the mud beneath is slightly disturbed, causing a few of the dish to swim away.
but one of the fish stays, slowly dancing in and out of your fingers. it stops on top of your hand, as if resting it's weary body from swimming all day. you decide not to disturb it and just enjoy what nature has gifted you.
further along, the water is disturbed, it somewhat sounds like a splash. you raise your gaze, eyes scanning along the bank on the opposite side. all you can see is a pair of beady eyes, and long pale fingers pressed onto a large tree branch that's resting on some rocks.
the boy doesn't blink, just stares back at you as he seems to be assessing what you're doing. you raise your neck, slightly turning your head to the side as if signalling you're curious about him too. he copies your actions, head turning the same direction as yours. one more time, you flop your head to the other side and he follows.
you bounce your head back and forth and he copies. this goes on for about ten seconds, but you stop as you begin to feel dizzy.
"ow." you say to yourself, raising your hand from the water to rub your temple. the boy across the water smiles, resting his chin on the branch.
within a split second, he jumps on top the fallen tree, legs flopping in front of himself as he lets them dangle. his feet are slightly webbed, and his hands too. when he turns his head to the side again, almost comically, a long pointy ear bounces out from his blonde hair, little silver trinkets dangling, maybe some small gems decorating his ear. you're not too sure, he's not close enough for you to see.
the boy smiles at you again as he wiggles his legs, his brown cotton shorts and shirt almost falling off of him. he's small, but not too short from what you can see.
ah, a water nymph, you realise. you've never seen one before. not this close. you realised you've ever actually heard one speak.
the boy nods to the river a few times, pointing to something. you follow his gesture. there's a another school of blue fish, seemingly gravitating towards him.
"you... want me to watch?" you ask, slowly dipping your bare feet into the water. he returns with an eager nod, pointing again at the fish.
the same group of small fish you saw prior look as if they're swimming towards him. they seem to happily oblige as he wiggles his fingers back and forth, the school of fish pooling at the other side of the bank. he looks up at you with a big grin on his face, pointy fangs pressing into his bottom lip.
"that's amazing!" you say in disbelief, trying your hardest not to disturb them.
slowly, you edge a bit forwards, now only about two metres away from him and the fish.
the nymph makes a cupping motion with both of his hands, instructing you to do as such.
"like this?" you ask, placing your hands together. he nods excitedly, gesturing for you to pick them up.
placing your cupped hands into the water, you wait for a moment. the nymph rubs two of his fingers together, his tongue sticking out to the side underneath one of his fangs. within a few moments, one of the fish swims into the palm of your hand and stills.
you gasp, trying your hardest not to move. but the boy doesn't mind, he seems to be enjoying your fascination with what he's doing.
"can i... lift it?" you ask, eyes feeling like they're going to pop out of your skull. the boy nods, jumping down from the branch to be at your level. he steps forwards and bends down, his soft webbed hands cupping your own. softly, he helps you raise them, the small fish swimming in little circles in the tiny pool you've made with your palms.
when you look up at the boy, he just smiles, those little fangs appearing again.
"it's so... pretty." you smile, watching the fish swim around. the nymph watches you intently, seemingly curious about your fascination with that he's doing.
"i wonder how they get so blue-"
"felix!" the nymph blurts out, pressing his face a bit too close to yours. you raise your brows turn to face him. he's no more than ten centimetres away.
he pushes his nose against yours, and pulls back. those big dark eyes wide and staring into your own, silly grin showing. "i'm felix."

(용복,승민) felix & seungmin.. 7 minutes in heaven
gn reader
...🐥(용복) felix!!
the scent of alcohol rubbed itself against both of your clothing. its smell lingered inside the cramped closet, making the air inside heavier than it already was.
a cough from felix finally cut the awkward silence, you immediately looked up at him in curiosity.
" so.. how're you yn? how's the party? " felix's deep voice rumbled in your chest just from how close the both of you are.
" i'm great— i mean um fine— i-i mean um.. "
just how did you get into this mess?
everyone sat down in a circle inside a random bedroom. the smell of alcohol heavy in the air.
it was a typical party with everyone being either full-on drunk or just sober.
your friends had dragged you upstairs into whoever's bedroom this was to play a game of seven minutes in heaven. you already being dragged upstairs had no other choice but to follow along.
your friends forcefully sat you down— the alcohol clearly doing numbers to their heads.
the other people around you quickly formed a circle, all of them excited to play said game.
" alright! you all know how the game works! so let's get started! " felix's deep voice announced right after everyone sat.
felix placed the empty beer bottle on the ground and finally spun it. everyone was visibly excited, not knowing where the bottle would land.
a string of cheers and oooh came after the bottle landed on felix himself. " sweet! " he enthusiastically spoke up.
the fact that it landed on felix only riled everyone up as they watched the bottle spin again, everyone silently hoping it'll land on them. the bottle finally stopped spinning as all eyes stared at it, their eyes trailing to see it stopped at.. you.
" oh shit felix, good luck! " his friends teased him, as people began pushing the two of you into the nearby closet.
you weren't exactly known to be friendly so the teasing from his friends was expected.
as soon as the door shut, the muffled sound of music and chattering seemed to disappear, leaving you and felix alone in an uncomfortable silence.
you looked everywhere inside the closet, taking close inspection of every piece of clothing inside it, silently judging the owner's taste just to not even look at felix.
felix on the other hand, has his eyes on you ever since the two of you entered the room. you couldn't tell if it was just a friendly stare or the opposite.
" ehem.. sorry if i'm making you uncomfortable or anything... " you croaked out while fidgeting with your fingers. felix's warm hands placed themselves on top of your fidgety one, calming you down a bit.
" relax, you're not making me uncomfortable. in fact, im scared i'm the one who's making you uncomfortable! " you laughed a bit at that, your shoulder relaxing a bit.
" you're funny. i bet other people out there are hoping that they could be in here with you instead. " felix hummed, his eyes not once leaving you.
his hands continued to tangle with yours, his hands warming your cold ones. " hm.. but i prefer being in here with you instead, yn. "
" huh? "
the door slammed open, the light outside blinding you and felix a little bit. " time's up—! ohoh what's this? " one of felix's friends noticed how the both of you were holding hands.
everyone else raised an eyebrow while felix simply pulled a blushing you out of the closet. " nothing! it's none of your business, jeremy. " felix sassily replied.
you quietly sat down next to your friends, them giggling and throwing looks at you and felix. " what's this yn? come on tell us what happened in there! "
you shook your head and replied how nothing happened while shyly smiling at felix, him mouthing to you to call him.
...🐶(승민) seungmin!!
quiet grumbles filled the silence in the air, seungmin obviously not happy that he had to get stuck with you inside this cramped closet.
you scratched your head, counting down the minutes till you can get out of the situation.
a sigh left your lips as you realised how slow time was moving in here.
just how did you get into this mess?
" c'mon, seungmin! just this once! " your classmates all tried to make seungmin join the game. he rolled his eyes and sighed, " fine fine! just this once. " he finally gave in.
since finals are over, your class decided to play some games to fill the free time you had.
today, all of you decided to spin the bottle and since you conveniently had a cleaning supplies closet, you all decided to turn it into seven minutes in heaven.
you and the rest cheered, seungmin sitting down across you in annoyance. " yn, why don't you spin first? " one of your classmates chimed in, the rest agreed since the bottle was in front of you.
" sure sure! here i go! " you spin the bottle first, excited to see who the bottle landed on.
your heart pounded in your chest as the bottle began to slow down near seungmin. you prayed that it wasn't him but seems like luck wasn't on your side that day.
" ooh no yn, good luck in there! " your classmates laughed at the both of you, you sitting there slightly blushing. seungmin on the other hand didn't look too happy.
" well rules are rules! " suddenly, your friends began pushing you and seungmin into the closet, you stumbling a bit into the closet. luckily you managed to catch yourself before embarrassing yourself in front of him.
the door slammed shut, your classmate's giggling voice slowly fading away. the closet itself was placed at the back of the class so you and seungmin had a bit of privacy.
you hesitantly looked up at seungmin, already starting to sweat from nervousness.
seungmin was looking away, his jawline instead facing you. his hands were buried deep into the pocket as a scowl decorated his lips.
you tried to back away a bit from him, attempting to create space between the two of you. unfortunately due to how small the closet is, you barely managed to make any difference.
you started to feel guilty for forcing him to join.
" ..sorry. " seungmin raised an eyebrow at you, deciding to finally look at you. " um.. i can tell you really don't want to be in here. we can just get out right now if you want. "
seungmin's features soften at your apology, him rubbing the back of his neck. " no it's fine. let's just wait. " you nodded at him, looking down at your shoes the whole time.
you once again tried to step away from him, opting to give him space. what you didn't see however was the piece of paper on the ground.
you slipped on said paper, hitting your head on a shelf. a loud thud filled the awkward silence, a bottle of windex falling on top of your head.
" ah—! ow.. " you whined, rubbing the top of your head. seungmin got closer to you, holding the top of your head, feeling for any bump.
" you okay? really, you're so clumsy, yn.. " seungmin lightly scolded you, patting the place where the windex fell. you blushed and let him do his thing, nodding when he asked whether you are okay or not.
you both stood in silence, seungmin's soft hand holding onto your head. " yn, i— "
suddenly, the door opened, shocking a blushing you and seungmin.
your classmates all stared with their mouths wide open, witnessing the kim seungmin patting you, at such close proximity too!
the both of you knew you were so fucked that day.

Lixie Cuddles and Brownies || Lee Felix x GN! Reader
"love." you heard felix's low voice. he was home from work already? you turned your head from facing the ceiling to felix, who was watching you from the doorway. "have you eaten?" he asked, walking over and brushing a thumb over your cheekbone. "you're home already?" you say. your voice is raspy. "y/n, love, how long have you been staring at the fan for?" felix asks, lifting your head so it can rest on his lap. "not sure." you sigh. through the window, you notice the sun setting. "i think the entire day." felix's hands play with your hair. "hmmm~" felix leans over your face, blonde hair falling over his eyes. "i think you need something to eat then." you shrug listlessly. "i'm not really hungry." you admit. felix raises an eyebrow. "if i made brownies?" he asks. you shake your head, feeling your stomach recoil at the thought of felix's chocolatey brownies- "hey, hey, hey, breathe." felix's voice sounded far away and distant. you could feel his arms around you, tightening his grip. "i got you, y/n, i got you." you sucked in a deep breath, sighing as you began to see clearly again. your arms wrap around felix and you bury your face into his chest. "awww~" felix cooed. "did you just want hugs?" your arms tighten around him in response and he wraps his arms tighter around your waist as he stands up. you squeak in surprise, raising your head to meet his eyes. he has a mischevious smile on his face. "since you want cuddles and i want brownies, you just cuddle me and i'll make brownies." felix said. "you're going to get brownie batter on me." you whine. "hey, you're still getting cuddles." felix argues. "but i deserve compensation~" you pout. felix sighs before pressing your mouth to his. "there, compensation. now you're definitely eating at least ONE brownie."

jisung ✉
this ball of sunshine did not care about showing all of his love. yet there were times that he got so shy around you, like when you just started dating or when he had his massive crush on you. it was those times where he just got mesmerized by your beauty and by the fact that you were now his. you were at the dorms cuddling on the couch and he couldn't stop looking at you when you talked, every word going through his head but he couldn't move his eyes from your mouth.
"sung if you want a kiss just tell me." you said as you laughed and he couldn't help but blush. he was so caught up that he didn't even know where his eyes were going and that 'caused you to roll his eyes as you got closer to him.
"i can't help it when you look at that." he said and it was your turn to blush. how could he be so sweet? you really got lucky with him. you were leaning in, closer & closer but then you heard someone come in and it was none other than...
"look at our han jisung doing the dirty when we're not home!" changbin yelled and immediately jisung was behind you, a red mess in his face as he covered it with his hands. you couldn't help but laugh though as obviously you were doing absolutely nothing but now as everyone came in with changbin yelling, it got embarrassing.
god you loved these boys but sometimes they were very dramatic. even when you leaned in to where jisung was, giving him a kiss on the cheek, they were all yelling again. you held your boyfriend in your arms as he tried to calm down but it looked like tonight was gonna be pretty much like this.
felix ✉
now he didn't really mind being all lovey dovey in public. but like jisung, he did get super shy sometimes and you couldn't pop him out of his bubble. he would blush easily whenever you showed affection but he would always respond with the double of love. he was such a loving person, with so much to give all the time and you felt blessed to have met him. you were waiting for him backstage as he finished performing and as soon as they were coming, all the boys waved at you, but one in particular threw himself in your arms.
"lix oh my god, you're all sweaty!" you said but hugged him anyways because you did not care. he just laughed as he placed his head on your shoulder and buried himself in you basically.
"having you here watching me is all i needed." he whispered in your ear and that made your heart skip a beat because you were so grateful to have him. he was so tender and sweet to you that you felt like you did not deserve this beautiful person.
"i want to hug (y/n) as well, come on yongbok!" minho said as felix rolled his eyes but did not move from you. he was very much comfortable in the hug which wasn't breaking any time soon.
minho would never admit it but he was very happy to see his friend in such a blissful state. all of the boys were pleased to have you around if felix was gonna be smiling. as for him, he knew he found the one he wanted when you started whispering sweet nothings to his ear as you held him in the middle of everyone, who just happened to be staring at the joyful scene.
seungmin ✉
he was not embarrassed or shy, he just didn't crave affection that much. until he met you and that's all he cared about, being around you, cuddling you, kissing you and just all over you 24/7. he wasn't clingy but he had to let everyone know that you were his (even though everyone knows that). being with him as he taught you one of the new choreos was very special to you. yes you could've asked anyone from danceracha but you wanted to share a moment with your boyfriend.
"(y/n) what are you doing?" he asked as you surrounded his neck with your arms and pulled him closer. his hands going straight to your waist as he held you. you were smirking as you put his forehead against yours and started the slow steps. "you're not making me slow dance, i'll die."
"you're such a drama queen, please? for me?" you said and he just nodded as you continued to have your little moment with him that you would remember forever.
"hyung are you he- oh my god, i need to film this." jeongin said to which seungmin immediately stopped what he was doing and almost dropped you in the process but his pride was on the line, you would understand.
it was impossible not to laugh at blushing seungmin as he hoped the ground would swallow him. of course the maknae had to walk in at such a tender moment but a certain part of him didn't care. like yes, he was slow dancing with his partner so what? but that wasn't the majority, in the end he was dying on the inside. he still loved you to death though, that's never gonna change.
jeongin ✉
you two were in your own scene all the time. it's like you were in a world where no one could enter, he just loved you so much and he got lost in whatever you were saying or doing all the time. he had heart eyes when you were near every time and you couldn't say that you didn't feel the same way. he was so ready to live every day for the rest of his life with you, it sounds like you were married at this point and it was so sweet. you were supporting him as he recovered his vocals, his voice capturing you and when he came out, he laid down next to you.
"was i good?" he simply asked as he looked at you, soft eyes and a little smile appearing on his face. it made you smile as well how happy he looked and you nodded.
"you're always amazing darling." you responded as you hugged him and gave him a little kiss on his forehead. holding him like you were so protective of your innie, he was always gonna be your baby.
"the lovebirds are acting up again." hyunjin said as he walked in to record his lines and jeongin buried himself in your chest. "it's cute, no need to hide!"
you held him close and pushed hyunjin who kept teasing jeongin. when hyunjin got in the recording booth, jeongin's red face appeared on your sight and you closed the gap to give him a kiss. his hyungs might tease him forever for the things you two do but he could not care anymore if he got to kiss you like that again.

✿ ✿ 〞 the aftermath
✰ pairings: ot8!skz x gn!reader
✰ genre: fluff, a bit of angst and romance
✰ warnings: cursing, tears, aftermaths
✰ word count: 2k+ words
part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
౨₊ৎ chan
it’s been a few days since the fight. and chan hated himself for saying those things which he shouldn’t have. regret was an understatement. even the members were aware of the fight since chan kept overworking and refused to go home out of shame. he promised himself that he would always protect you, and he felt himself collapse every time he remembered the fight.
truthfully, you weren’t much better as well. you missed him, you did. and you wished he would come back home sooner but you couldn’t muster the courage to say that to him. you knew he would be beating himself up for the fight, even though part of it was your fault as well. you agreed with it.
your heart leaped out of your throat when chan stood on the door, holding a bouquet of roses. and although he tried to do his best to smile, it immediately turned into a sob when he saw you.
“i’m so sorry baby. so so sorry,” he hiccuped, and rested his face on your shoulder and closed his eyes in relief, when he felt your familiar arms wrap around his torso and held him close.
“it’s not your fault entirely. it was mine as well,” you hushed out and pressed a kiss on his head, feeling him cry harder at this.
pulling away, he leaned his forehead to yours and let out a weak chuckle.
wiping away your tears he muttered, “god i love you so much.”
you giggle softly and press a kiss on his nose, “i love you more mr bang.”
౨₊ৎ minho
you laid face down on the bed, with hot tears spilling down. it had been two hours since the fight, but yet minho didn’t once dare to apologise. your eyes burned so much that it hurt.
a knock breaks you out of your session. with a hesitant step minho enters the room and feels his heart ache upon your state. gulping the lump forming in his throat he walks closer but gets shoved away when you stand up and push him out of the room out of anger. and he lets you. knowing he deserved it. his eyes show pain but he doesn’t stop you and finally looks down at you in the eye.
“minho you’ve said enough, please leave me alone for some time,” the moment the door slammed in his face, he dropped to his knees and let his tears flow.
“i’m s-sorry. i really am,” he whispered, leaning his head against the door and wiped away the tears but they kept flowing continuously.
“i didn’t mean to i swear,” his voice kept cracking but he tried to continue in hopes you could hear the despair and desperation in his tone.
“i feel horrible for hurting you kitten, i mean it. and even though i tend to appear closed off, i love you so much, i really do,” upon hearing his voice you had to bite your lips to muffle the sob threatening to escape.
sure you were angry at him. but you couldn’t just let him cry his eyes out on that cold floor. about 15 minutes later, with soft steps you opened the door and looked down at him. he was hugging his knees close to his chest, and looked so. . . lonely.
his eyes practically shone upon seeing you, but it disappeared when reality hit him that he was the one who caused this. he raised himself up, and slowly and very hesitantly wrapped his arms around you. he pulled you in his embrace and tucked your head in his chest, letting you cry. letting you release your anger at him.
he would do anything if it means he gets you back. if he can erase the mistake he made.
“i won’t ever let my anger control me. i promise,” he mumbled and you smiled softly. you believed him. his words held sincerity and so did his eyes.
you were just glad to know he would try his best to not let this occur again.
౨₊ৎ changbin
the next few days passed by a blur. you were doing your best at ignoring changbin and hoping he would realise his mistake. which he did all too soon.
“hey,” he greets you with a soft smile but receives silence which makes his smile falter but he tries to stay happy for you.
then he proceeds to tell you about his day but the moment you begin to get up, he can feel those silver tears dripping down.
he clutches the hem of your shirt in your hand, and backhugs you. leaning his forehead on your back he mutters, “don’t punish me like this anymore. i can’t t-take it. i’m very sorry baby. please. i promise to take you on dates weekly now, will that work?” his clutches your shirt tighter and forces you to turn around.
he lets out a soft scoff when he sees the tears on your face as well. cupping your face he mutters, “i’ll plan the dates from now on. you don’t need to. and i’ll reach an hour early if you want,” your chuckle makes him smile as well. with a soft sigh he presses his lips on your forehead making you breathe out in relief. war is over. finally. and you couldn’t be more thankful.
౨₊ৎ hyunjin
every day of his tour, hyunjin video called you for at least 2 hours. and you almost felt guilty for taking up that much time but then he reassured you that nothing’s wrong. wrong turned right. and his sincerity turned stronger if possible. he began showing you his love subtly and more often.
“i really am sorry,” he murmurs, twisting his head a bit to kiss the skin of your arm closest to him. “i hate fighting. didn’t mean to make you upset.”
he sat on the bed with you in his lap and hugged you tightly as if you would disappear if he let you go.
“hyunie, i’m not going anywhere you can let go of me now,” you laughed when you saw him whine and childishly shake his head in denial.
“no. never. do you not love me anymore?” his dramatic tone almost makes you laugh out loud but you decide to play along.
with a soft gasp you mutter, “that’s impossible! i love artist hyunjin so much.”
he blushes upon the nickname and looks at your hands intertwined with his.
raising it in the hair he smiles at the sight, “doesn’t this look like a perfect sight? which means we are perfect for each other.”
tackling you down to bed with hands poking your sides you giggled, and maybe it was just time he needed to take out for you.
౨₊ৎ han
“look what i got!” he yelled out loud, wiggling the plastic bag in his hands as he made his way over to you.
passing him a blank stare, you turn your head and continue watching the drama. you feel him sit beside you. you feel him stare at your face. you feel him shift closer to you till his knees are touching your. you also feel him grab your hand, delicately. you let your eyes wander over your hand and watch him touch your index finger, trace patterns which are out of nowhere and suddenly you’re snapped back by his soft sigh.
“i’m terribly sorry– i’m not asking you to forgive me, not that you would this sooner as i may or may not, no i may have committed the biggest mistake of my life by treating you that way. and i swear it may sound funny to you but i literally panicked when those words left my mouth. i felt like beating the shit out of myself because i still can’t believe that my own mouth could even utter words like that–” his words get cut off when you wrap your arms around his neck, practically choking him but he doesn’t care. a huge grin spreads across his face as he brings you closer to him.
he looks into your eyes as he says the next words, “i promise i’ll be a better version of myself. for you.”
౨₊ৎ felix
you drag yourself into felix and chan’s dorm building and sigh for upteempth time. it felt weird to come here with this unexpected reason. but you had to. you had to apologise to him and mend the things between the two of you before the matters took a toll for the worse. the door opens and there you see hyunjin, still rubbing his eyes. he must’ve probably woken up now, you let your gaze wander behind him, trying to find any hints of lee felix. but there’s none. though you do wonder what hyunjin is doing here. you bite your lip to stop yourself from asking that question and instead focus on felix.
“he’s in the kitchen,” hyunjin rasps out after having seemingly read your thoughts which makes you flush about how you were like an open book to him. walking into the kitchen you find felix whisking the eggs with all his strength and even managing to spill some out.
“lixie,” your voice comes off even weaker than you expected. but felix’s head snaps in your direction and only then do you notice his state. his dishevelled hair, flour stains on his cheeks and dried tears that break your heart. without letting him speak anything you crumble into his arms and hold him tightly.
“i’m sorry! i’m so sorry, my sunshine. i misunderstood you entirely. and i– god i just did the biggest mistake letting you walking like that,” and when you don’t feel his arms wrap around you, you pull back just to see him trying to control his tears. he doesn’t want to appear weak in front of you and that breaks your heart even more.
“it’s okay lixie,” was the last straw before he buried his head in the crook of your head and let himself go. lose all control of his emotions till he doesn’t have anything to hide. and at that moment, you swore you could feel at utter peace.
౨₊ৎ seungmin
you feel the bed dip beside you but you stay still, laying on your side with your eyes closed and pretending to be asleep. he lets out a soft sigh at something you can’t see and you resist the urge to turn around and observe him.
slowly, you feel arms pull you close to his chest and although you try to struggle, it’s of no use. he just hugs you tighter.
“i’m sorry. i really am,” his breath fans your neck as you speak and you try your very best to stay still and forgive him. but that wall cracks the moment you feel something damp against your shoulder.
you turn to look at him as he tries to hide himself but he’s too late. and now he’s afraid whether you’ll forgive him, judge him or throw him out. but he’s surprised when he feels you hug him and whisper it’s okay. his arms automatically wrap around you and he truly feels it. it’s okay.
౨₊ৎ jeongin
your phone keeps vibrating from jeongin’s texts and you try your best to ignore him until you see him walk on the road, looking like a lost kid searching for his mother. his eyes are red and puffy from crying and his throat probably aches too from asking random people about you.
you frown at the side and for some reason you can feel your heart ache. why? you’re not sure why. weren’t you supposed to stay angry at him until he begs for forgiveness? then why are your legs taking you to him? until you’re standing right in front of him and panting.
his eyes shine, but with sorrow and remorse. he tries to wipe his tears. tries to hide the fact as if he wasn’t just searching for you all around like a desperate person, but he fails. he looks down at his feet, unable to meet your eyes and feels the tears drip down his chin and on to the floor.
various words escape his mouth, some stuttered, some muffled while some he chose to say in his mind. but the only sentence you were able to understand was that he is sorry. and that he loves you and will wait until you forgive him.
he finally looks up, and he swore that he could’ve seen your lips lift and finally he could breathe normally again.

If the world was ending
Felix x reader. Estranged childhood best friends to lovers. Angst and happy ending. highly recommend listening to If the world was ending while reading :)
Felix has always been there with you, from the moment you've met him when you were 8 years old, until he suddenly no longer was, and you were left to grapple with the consequences of his absence- and those of his return.
cw: description of a car accident, reader has a fear of loud noises.
skz song series masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
12 march 2011
Screeching brakes, a jarring collision, glass shattering all around you, shards of it embedding into your tender skin. You are too young to understand it all, but you know it's bad. You are suddenly upside down, the only thing helping you stay put is the seatbelt fastened around you. You didn't really like seatbelts but your mom always insisted on you wearing one.
Your mom, you can't see her face, she's upside down too, and she isn't talking. That's unusual because you're crying and she isn't turning around to comfort you. Someone is screaming outside of your car, and then you are pulled out. You don't know who's touching you, and you want them to stop. Where is your mom? Why did they not pull her out too?
An ambulance approaches you; its loud sirens feel like pine needles drilling into your skull. You try to cover your ears but your hands are covered in blood. The world around you is painted red- the flashing lights of the sirens and the liquid oozing from your cuts. It’s no longer your favorite color.
27 may 2011
You are playing in the playground near your home, waving at your mom from the top of the slide. She's gotten better, she smiles more easily at you now. And you are trying to be a good kid too; you help wash the dishes and you clean your room all by yourself. You don't want your mom to feel sad again and go back to that dreaded hospital.
You slide out, happy giggles leaving your mouth, before climbing up the tiny stairs once again. But as you reach the top, an ambulance rushes by the playground. You don't know what's happening, but you suddenly feel shards of glass on your skin once again. Your hands are shaking as you sit on the floor, curling around yourself in a ball.
"What's wrong?" someone asks and you lift your head tentatively. It's a young boy, he's looking at you worriedly, a tiny pout on his lips.
"I don't like ambulances," you hiccup, burying your head in your knees again.
Suddenly, small hands cover your ears, muffling the shrill sound of sirens. They are warm and sticky from the red popsicle he’s still holding.
"Now you can't hear them," he giggles, his eyes disappearing into moon crescents. Despite your raging fear, a smile finds its way into your lips.
"What's those on your face," you ask with a small voice, pointing at the faint marks dusting his cheeks.
"They're called freckles," he says proudly and you nod.
"They're pretty."
"Thank you!" he grins at you, his hands still covering your ears. The tightness in your chest seems to dissipate slowly before his kind smile- the shadows never stood a chance in front of the sun.
"What's your name?"
"Felix. And you?"
"Yn."
"We should be friends," he beams and you grin back, agreeing wholeheartedly. "We should."
15 november 2021
You are sitting on the grass of that very same playground, Felix still by your side. The night breeze is cooling as it brushes against your bodies, and you're wearing his red sweater. It smells like his cologne and your perfume- an intoxicating scent you've come to memorize by heart.
His nose tip is rosy from the cold, and you can't resist tapping it playfully. "Your nose is pink," you giggle, and he smiles, gently bopping yours in return.
"So is yours."
You look at him as he gazes up at the stars above. You love Felix, it has always been crystal clear to you. From the moment he planted the seed of his friendship into your soul, and throughout the years when it bloomed into something more, bigger than the two of you. It wrapped around your being entirely, binding itself into your every atom, until all you saw is his reflection in you.
And you were tired of treading the line between friendship and something more. You wanted, no craved being with him, your yearning so intense it spilled from you each time he was around. In rosy cheeks and shaky fingers and eyes that soften only when they rest on him- evidence of your love imprinted all upon you.
You take in a deep breath, before laying your hand gently on his cheek, turning his face to meet yours. His eyes widen slightly at the soft touch, and you lean in closer to him. You brush your nose against his, slowly, "to warm it up," you whisper, as his breath hitches in his throat.
He's close, he's so close, you can almost taste the brownies you shared earlier on his lips. You can see his freckles ever so clearly, constellations you often find yourself getting lost in. Your hand is still on his cheek, and you can feel it burning up under your palm.
You close your eyes, as his lips are now just a breath away from yours. It's electrifying- having him so near to the way you've always dreamed, fantasized about. But he needs to be the one to take the jump, all he has to do is lean in a bit, and you'd kiss him. You won't ever let go.
"Lixie...," you choke out, "kiss me."
"I want to." His voice is hoarse with emotion, as if fighting with himself for self-restraint.
"So do it," you ask, swiping your thumb gently across his cheek. Your breaths mingle with one another in a dizzying dance.
"I'm leaving," he says so faintly, you believe for a second that you've imagined it.
"What?" you ask, leaning a bit away to be able to look at him.
"I'm leaving," he repeats, his eyes tightly shut. "We're moving to another country, for my dad's job."
"You're leaving me?" you ask, bewildered.
"I'm not leaving you-"
"But you are. You won't be here anymore." You drop your hand, taking hurried steps away from him. Touching him didn't feel electrifying anymore, it felt horrible and nauseous, because you won't get to do it again.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to-"
"How long have you known?"
"Yn..."
"Felix," you say, tone stern. "How long?"
"Six months," he whispers and a bitter chuckle escapes your lips.
"When are you leaving?"
"In a week."
The pain becomes unbearable, and you turn your back to him so he wouldn't see your rapidly falling tears. You are angry, as a disguise for the sadness threatening to drown you. Him leaving tasted like the salty water you gulp when you dive in too quickly into the ocean. And you did dive in, in him, in his soul and everything that made up Felix. And now he was leaving you, with no anchor to help you float again.
"Is that why you insisted on spending so much time with me lately? Because you were leaving?"
"You need to understand I didn't know how to tell you, I- I don't even know who I am without you." He pleads, his own eyes shimmering with unshed tears, reminding you of tiny diamonds. That's how it is with Felix, you found beauty in everything he did- even tearing your heart in half.
"Maybe you should've thought of how I would feel. You were thinking of leaving me while I..." Your voice breaks and you take a shaky breath.  "While I was falling in love with you."
"I'm in love with you too," he quickly says, reaching out to hold your hand. "I love you, I always have." He's wrapping his arms around you, and you're letting him because it feels safe and secure. Because he’s still your Felix, even if he's leaving you behind.
You wonder what you must have done in a past life, what a horrible person you could've been for the universe to treat you this cruelly. To hand you everything you've ever wanted in a silver platter, and snatch it from your hands before you could dare to grab it.
"We'll make it work," he mumbles into your hair, placing a tender kiss on your temple. "We'll talk and we can be together."
"No, we can't. I'll just hold you back from living your new life, I can't have that."
"Don't talk like that, please," his voice wavers, words barely managing to slip out of his mouth. Regret overtakes your body so suddenly at the thought of his lips- you shouldn't have tried to kiss him. Maybe then he wouldn't have told you he was leaving.
"It's the truth. we'll grow to hate each other, distance will put a strain on us. I'd rather not talk to you than have you resent me."
"But-"
"Just hold me," you cut him off. "As if nothing's happening, please."
And he complies because Felix always does. Because he loves you and as much as he doesn't want to, he knows you're right.
•••••
It's been three months since Felix left- the days passed by agonizingly slowly, and yet the months went by in a blur, a hauntingly vivid reminder of what once was. At first, the texts between you two were frequent, but as time wore on, the messages grew sporadic, from your end, mostly. Seeing him flourish in his new life felt like salt on an open wound, a reminder that he was moving on while you were still anchored in memories of him.
You saw him in every corner of your city. The smell of brownies that he's made countless times, each time you felt sad. The way he kissed your cheek each time he won a game, while you were lying on his bed, bored. The way he hugged you whenever you were sick, gently tucking strands of your hair behind your ear. The way he covered your ears instinctively at each loud noise, knowing how scared it made you still.
And you've felt each of these emotions since he was gone. You were sad and bored and sick and happy and scared. And he wasn't here with you through them. Each moment away from Felix seemed to magnify what could have been- what should have been between the two of you.
There is a building construction next to you, loud cement blocks crashing to the ground. And you are curled around yourself in a protective ball, covering your ears with your hands, because Felix isn't here to do it anymore for you.
You and Felix have grown with one another, your soul carefully woven into his, like two threads intricately stitched into the same tapestry. Him leaving felt like half of your body was cut off from you, and you were left alone to figure out how to function with an incomplete heart.
17 july 2023
Summer break meant coming back home and sleeping in your childhood bedroom once again. Memories of Felix still lingered in there- posters he has given you and his red sweater that you've never found the courage to throw away. It doesn't hurt as much to remember him, the sharp pain morphed into a dull ache you've grown accustomed to by now.
You're watching the TV mindlessly when someone knocks on your door, and you go to open it without a second thought, expecting it to be your parents. It wasn't.
"Felix?" you stammer, stumbling back in shock. You blink repeatedly, in a desperate attempt to make sure he's not a figment of your twisted imagination. You haven't uttered his name in so long, and the syllables felt both foreign and familiar in your mouth.
"It's me," he smiles sheepishly, his hand scratching the back of his neck.
"You are here," you whisper, stating the obvious. He didn't change much, his kind brown eyes and freckles still as captivating as before. But his features were sharper, prettier, and the sight of him is making you dizzy once again.
"I am."
"What are you doing here?" You ask cautiously, opening the door a bit wider to let him in.
"I requested a transfer to your university. I wanted to come back. I missed home, and I missed you," he adds softly, making a turmoil of emotions surge within you.
You clear your throat. "So, you are back for good?"
"I am," he says, smiling slightly at you as if to gauge your reaction. You stay silent and his grin falters; his tongue resting against the inside of his cheek, a habit he hasn't let go of apparently. He then walks to the kitchen and you follow suit. You don't have to show him around, he knows your home like the back of his hand. He spent most of his childhood here after all, even though his house was only a few blocks away.
"How have you been?" he asks as he opens the cupboard to take out a glass. He closes its door softly, careful not to make it thud.
"I'm good. It's summer break so I'm finally back home, what about you?"
"I'm good too. It's nice to be back."
Your conversation is strained and awkward, so unnatural of you both. There was so much to say, so much to ask about, but you couldn't bring yourself to speak. He felt like uncharted territory to you now, one you didn't have the strength to discover once again.
"It's your mom's birthday tomorrow, right?" he smiles and you nod.
"Should we make her our cookies? Like we used to before I..."
"Before you left," you finish, bitterness dripping from your tone.
Hurt flashes in his eyes and you feel your heart suddenly clench in your chest. It was unfair for you to treat him this way. He was only seventeen and if your parents were to move away you would've followed them too.
"Okay, let's do it." You smile sincerely for the first time since he came back to you.
You both move seamlessly in the kitchen, each knowing your tasks like a choreographed dance. This was a tradition that started when you were twelve years old. You'd brown the butter while he beat the egg and sugar together. He'd sift the flour while you cut up chocolate. He'd mix it all while you preheat the oven. And then you'd roll the dough together.
Your hands brush against one another as you shape up the cookies, and it feels so intense you almost drop to the floor. You miss him, you miss him so much and he's near you and you can't seem to think straight anymore.
When the cookies are finally in the oven, he silently washes the dishes while you dry them. He abruptly pauses, hands still covered in soap before turning back to you.
"Can we talk? Please?" he says too quickly as if he's been overthinking asking this question.
"I'm busy today," you scramble to think of an excuse, you weren't ready to face him yet.
"Tomorrow?"
"I'm staying with my mom, then there is Han’s party."
"I'll be there too. We can talk then, please?" he asks, eagerness evident in his voice.
"Fine. Let's talk there," you concede and he nods, awkwardly shifting in his place. He finishes the dishes before drying his hands. You avoid his gaze and he sighs softly. "I'll get going. Tell your mom happy birthday from me."
"Will do." You smile tightly and he does the same, before finally leaving your home, and in his trail, a maelstrom of emotions you weren't certain how to deal with.
18 july 2023
You're at the reunion party Han is hosting with all your high school friends. You watch as Felix takes turns talking to everybody. He fits right in here, a puzzle perfectly clicking in place as if he's never left. He's telling a joke to Chan who laughs loudly, hitting Minho's arm repeatedly. Everyone is happy he's back, because they never had to gravel with the consequences of his absence. Because he's never ripped their heart out.
Felix is looking for you around the room- he hasn't seen you in a while. He assumes you're somewhere around the house, and that you'd like to talk when time has passed. The knot in his stomach tightens as the weight of your conversation dawns on him, he longs to be with you, to undo the past two years he has spent away from you. But he's afraid to mess everything up, once again, so he stays near his friends who are now pulling him outside of the house.
"We have a surprise for you," Han says excitedly before pointing at the sky, "look."
Fireworks, a dazzling show of blue, red and yellow. And Felix feels as if the colors were drained out of his face and splattered into the night sky before him.
"Where is yn?" he turns to Chan, eyes wide.
"Inside, I think. Why?"
"Stop- stop this, don't start any more fireworks," he urges the boy who's looking at him worriedly.
"Why, what's wrong? We have a warrant to start them, don't worry."
"No, no you don't understand. Yn hates loud noises," he explains frantically, before bolting inside the house.
He's yelling your name, and you are nowhere to be found, the sound of the fireworks so loud he isn't even sure you can hear him.
He opens door after door, and after painstakingly long seconds he finally finds you in the bathroom, sitting on the floor, your head buried in your knees. Just like you were twelve years ago.
Felix doesn't waste any time, kneeling in front of you to cover your ears with his hands, you look up at him, waterline brimming with unshed tears.
"It's okay, I'm here. Just focus on my voice," he smiles reassuringly at you, and you clasp your hands on top of his, doing your best to muffle the sound of the explosions.
"Your hands are still small," you attempt to joke, as hot tears trail down your cheeks. You hated how scared you still were.
"The perfect size to cover your ears," he smiles at you, his eyes softening when they take in your distressed state.
You hiccup, overcome by a new wave of emotion- for an entirely different reason this time. "You came."
"I'll always come. Even if the world was ending, I'll... I'll come to you," he smiles, biting his lower lip to stop his own tears from falling.
"It'd be useless if you came then. There would be nothing for us to do," you manage to say through shaky breaths.
"But I'd be with you," he insists, gaze unwavering, "It will be scary for you. I imagine it will be loud, the world can't end silently."
"Mine did, when you left." Felix's eyes go wide at your words, and you don't care that you are baring your soul entirely to him. "Please don't leave me again. I hate goodbyes with you."
"Why would we ever say goodbye again, hm?" he reassures, his knuckles brushing against your cheek softly. "I'm never leaving you, as long as you'll have me, I'm here," he whispers, before pulling you into his chest.
Your hands find his back, and his cheek rests on top of your head. And you both close your eyes, an exhale of relief leaving you both at the same time. The world grows dark around the two of you, the only thing you saw was his heart and the overflowing love he still bore for you.
You felt as if you were wandering blind and you could finally see again, as if the string tying you to him wrapped tightly around the both of you, trapping you in his warm embrace.
You don't know what will happen next, but he's holding you now, and he'll hold you when the world is ending, and that is enough.

방찬/BANG CHAN. chan is the most perfect boyfriend you could ask for. he’s the type to never let you lift a finger when he’s around you. whether it be fixing a broken pipe in the house or carrying all of the groceries; it wasn’t a problem for him at all. he may get consumed in his work sometimes but that didn’t mean he spends less quality time with you. he’d call you throughout the day to check up on you and tell you how much he misses you. he’d share what he was working on and update you on small things. always smothering you once he comes home— no seriously, he does not let you breathe. he’d pepper kisses all over your face whilst having you wrapped tightly in his arms. the warmth of his loving embrace made you feel the safest and utmost protected.
리노/LEE KNOW. lovesss taking you out on fun interactive dates. movies, bowling, mini golf, fruit-picking, and candlelit dinners were a just a few to name. minho enjoyed going to small family owned restaurants, he loved desserts and would order a milkshake with two straws on each side. you’d be playing footsie under the table like little kids, teasing you while staring into each others eyes trying not to burst out laughing. he loves you just as much as he loves his cats and that’s saying a whole lot. he has a picture of you playing with soonie and dori as his lock screen, it was probably the cutest pic he’s ever taken of you. he calls you and his cats a little family >\\< he loves the way they all get along with you and it affirms even more that you really are the one for him.
창빈/CHANGBIN. constantly showers you with dozens upon dozens of compliments. could write a full-fledged novel on simply everything he adores about you. he’ll write sweet notes from time to time and leave them in random areas for you to find. your relationship with him always kept you guessing, he was so full of pleasant surprises. he noticed the littlest details about you and could practically read you like a book. he knew immediately when you were in a slump, it became his personal mission to cheer you up. is super touchy feely with you but does it with the most pure intentions. pressing feathery kisses along your hands and the insides of your palms, then trails further up your arm. he loved seeing how flustered you’d get by it, only wanting to keep doing it more.
현진/HYUNJIN. treats you as his artistic muse. his deep infatuation with you fed his inspiration with new ideas constantly. his paintings were a reflection of his mind, his most inner thoughts and emotions. almost every painting he’s done was inspired by you in some way, shape, or form. art and photography are one his favorite hobbies so naturally he’s going to always wanna snap pictures of you. whenever you two go on dates he takes pics of you without you knowing, smiling to himself and thinking how lucky he is to have you. he tells you often how much you mean to him, he was a very vocal partner. you didn’t need to ask for reassurance because hyunjin would just give it to you anyway. it was like he could read your mind, he understood you on a intuitive and spiritual level.
한/HAN. he is completely and authentically himself when he’s with you. your relationship is the most easy going thing in his life, he couldn’t imagine life without you. he loves that your humor is the same and you’re both always goofing off. he feels most accomplished if he can make you laugh until your stomachs start hurting. almost everything was a joke to him but the love he had for you was definitely not. he share’s everything with you, his clothes, favorite snacks, deepest secrets, nothing off limits for him. never stops talking about you with the other members, every little thing reminds of him you so he has to announce it. he could be doing something serious and then one of your inside jokes would randomly pop in his head, smiling like an idiot to himself. he was so proud to have you as his lover and best friend.
필릭스/FELIX. the most sweet, nurturing, individual in the universe. put a million heart emojis next to your contact name and never fails each time to get a stomach full of butterflies every time he’s with you. hears a song that reminds him of you and instantly sends it; will make monthly playlists for you too. he gets lost in your eyes all the time, can’t help but feel his heart beat out his chest by your ethereal beauty. you could be having an in-depth conversation with him and he’d zone out from just looking at you. he can’t stand being away from you when he’s gone and gets real sad and lonely if he can’t hold you >.< will send you LENGTHY messages of what he loves most about you and how much he wants to be with you. if he can’t physically be there, he’ll do all he can to still feel like he’s right beside you.
승민/SEUNGMIN. thoughtful gestures were his love language. he would notice your shoe is untied as you’re both walking and stop everything he’s doing to fix it for you. will do anything you ask him to at the drop of a hat. does chores and tasks around the house when you aren’t feeling up to it, he never complains about it either which you love. lots and lots of hugs and kisses !! he especially loves hugging you from behind and resting his head within the crevice of your shoulder. he’d kiss your knuckle before dancing with you in the kitchen and acting like an old married couple. the two of you would be slow dancing and lock eyes, your lips would collide as you both sway to the melody of the song. it was soft moments like these that proved seungmin owned all of your love.
아이엔/JEONGIN. very much into showing PDA and lots of it. doesn’t really care about what the other members think when he touches or kisses you in front of them. likes to give you unexpected forehead and neck kisses, intertwining his fingers with yours while doing so. he bought you a necklace with his initial on it as a gift and you never took it off since the day he gave it to you. whenever he’s gone for long periods of times that necklace would get you through it all. he’d also buy matching couples pajamas and plan a night in where you do face masks and watch movies (^o^). late night cuddling was his forte; you’d be all tangled up in bed together and he’d leave short series of pecks to your cheek until you lull asleep in his arms.

STRAY KIDS and jealousy
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing. skz x gn!reader
format. headcanons
Tumblr media
chan
- on one hand, he’s so used to being level-headed and being the one to alleviate rough situations - he’s a leader after all - but on the other hand, he can’t help but get irrationally jealous sometimes - and he beats himself up over it because he knows he’s better than this - he has a possessive quality about him, especially when it’s you - but what he also has is the fantastic ability to recognize his feelings and know how to properly process them - so when he gets jealous, he takes time to himself to calm down and think more rationally - when he reenters the situation, he feels more himself and is reminded how much he loves and trusts you - you two talk it out a bit and swap reassurances of love and it works out <3
minho
- will take it seriously if you betray his trust - even if he gets jealous on his own accord, he’s not the most amicable - maybe he jumps to conclusions a bit fast and ends up shutting you out to try and protect himself and his feelings - can tend to get uncommunicative which makes it difficult to reach him - his intentions aren’t malicious, he just immediately goes into self-preservation mode - it often takes him talking to one of the other members for them to make him realize he’s overreacting - then he talks to you and you work it out - his jealousy can become a point of contention in your relationship but it’s nothing you can’t work out and make less serious as time goes on - at the end of the day you love each other
.
.
changbin
- feels the need to overcompensate :(( - turns up his comedy to try and make you laugh more than the person he’s jealous of - just tries to remind you why he’s better by showing off his charm - after a while, he starts to feel a bit silly - when you two are finally alone, then he’ll be transparent with how he’s feeling and try to work his emotions out with you - you’re always willing to have the conversations he needs to have - and you both leave feeling closer and more confident in your relationship - changbin king of communication!
hyunjin
- doesn’t tend to get jealous because he is such a romantic and loves with his WHOLE heart so if he’s getting into a relationship, he’s making sure there is SO much love between him and his partner - so if he gets in a relationship with you, you best believe he trusts you fully - so when he does get jealous, it’s not that he’s worried something will happen - he more so just gets a bit sad because he’s missing you - he doesn’t expect to be at the center of your attention 24/7 but it just saddens him a bit when you’re spending more time with someone else - he just misses you! - but then he sees you again and you go out and everything’s okay again
jisung
- he turns his jealousy inwards on himself rather than you or the person he’s jealous of - it sort of just heightens his insecurities - makes him spiral into why he’s not good enough for you - even though that’s not the case at all - also blames himself for feeling that way because it makes him feel foolish - just lets himself take all of the punches from his jealousy - doesn’t want to be stupid and get you involved - but it doesn’t take much to pull him out of that spiral - just a little bit of assurance that you love him and he’s all smiles again
felix
- felix has a big heart and cares a lot about the health of your relationship - if he gets jealous or feels insecure as a partner, he wants to do everything he can to fix it - usually this will be talking it out with you - but he rarely takes the lead in these conversations - instead, he shares all of his feelings and thoughts and looks to you for advice - sometimes he’ll ask his others members for advice as to not burden you with his issues - he just wants to find a solution that works for the both of you, whether that’s spending more time together, giving one another more assurance, etc. - he’s not one to shut you out or take time to himself, he’s more one to jump into a back-and-forth with you to figure out how to keep jealousy at bay
seungmin
- doesn’t really get jealous  - hates the feeling cause he’s just making discomfort for himself - trusts you and respects your decisions to spend time with whoever you want - as long as you come home to him at the end of the day and you fall asleep in his arms, who’s he to complain? - if he DOES somehow get jealous, he just gets upset at himself - takes some time away from the situation to put it in perspective and figure his emotions out - ends up just ignoring it until it goes away
jeongin
- he may have a jealous instinct - but he has more of a communication instinct - so when he gets jealous, he channels his natural fervor into confronting you directly to talk it out - he’s very honest and blunt with how he’s feeling and expect you to be the same - doesn’t appreciate it if you dance around the issue - so be transparent with him and the issue gets solved just like that - his other method is removing himself from the situation and sitting with himself or with another member to work out his feelings independently - he’s a mature one, very good at working out relationship issues

NYAH SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO OPEN ya boi was zzzz but here you go!! hope u enjoy my love!! whenever i write fluff and stuff i get so mad bc it's so cute im like BALLS FISTS and hITS THE AIR so at this point you're taking me down with you
Tumblr media
pairing: felix x gn!reader genre: lil angst, fluff, gn!reader warnings/other: none, .9k, kinda edited there were very few times you had argued with felix. it was never to the point of yelling nor insults, but sometimes he frustrated you to no end.
on occasion, felix would do small, careless things that turned into, well, large, careless things. you weren't living together, though he was at your house enough to have a key and free range of your fridge. you'd joke about how he was your live-in farm animal because he consistently grazed on your food. you didn't mind, though, your cute calf lounging around your house.
but this time, he sent you into a rage. felix eating your food. it wasn't just food, it was the cake you had hand baked for your friends birthday, and it was very important. you slaved over the cake for three days, the first one you made was a disaster, the second the same but the third time, it was flawless. you were so proud.
the three tiers of cake perfectly aligned with the black and red fudge. pretty little pearl gems along the side with hand crafted roses. it was your shining glory. everything about it was absolutely perfect.
well, that was before felix decided to press his finger in it to try it, the pressure of his touch making the cake completely topple over in the fridge. it was ruined, not even a tiny bit salvageable.
nothing in you regretted kicking him out this morning, until now. the gentle sounds of rain trickled down the windows in the beginning, small spurts of harsh wind whispering through the trees.
it was okay at first, you liked the rain but you didn't like thunder. something about the sound clawed into your chest, burying itself deep inside you and making itself at home. it was scary, the feeling of your windows shaking back and forth with the bangs of the wind.
every minute, it got worse. you could hear the sounds of branches snapping, thunder rumbling into the walls of the house with every snap of clouds banging into each other.
you're stuck in your closet, hands pressing against your ears as you rock back and forth, trying to hum yourself to calm down, almost like a lullaby. your mind tells you if you leave the closet, it'll get worse. like somehow, your movements will change the course of nature.
another bang shutters the windows, you whimper, scared of the noises yet to come. a strangled zap echoes in your room, all of the lights switching off in an instant. it's completely pitch black, the only light coming from your phone on the ground next to you.
"please stop, please stop." you chant to yourself over and over, eyes pressing shut. the weather channel lied. this isn't light showers. this was the throat of a demon swallowing the world.
you don't even notice the closet door open at first, a small amount of light peeping through from a torch. your boyfriend is staring down at you. he takes you in, his wet hair sticking to his forehead, and he's slightly out of breath as if he ran the whole way here.
"baby, it's okay, it's me." he almost whispers. he notices the wet marks on your shirt, little droplets of tears planting themselves in the fabric.
nothing comes out of your mouth but a small whimper.
bang. the sound of thunder surrounds the house, slightly shaking the pictures on your wall. you let out a sob, mind still stinging with fright.
"here, here." felix says, showing you a pair of noise cancelling headphones. you can't move, frozen in your spot. he knows exactly what to do, this isn't the first time you've been this scared before.
ever so gently, he pry's your hands from your ears, placing the headphones over your head. it's one of your favourite songs, just loud enough to drown out the sound of the thunderstorm. you feel him slot himself behind you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders, head pressed against your neck. you can't hear him, but you can feel his lips moving against you. his hair is cold, still dripping from the rain.
"it'll be over soon, i promise."
your body automatically turns to him, seeking shelter in his chest, arms wrapping around his waist. a crack of thunder pangs, but it's not as loud this time. you're melting into your boyfriends touch, his arms rubbing soothing lines along your back, rocking you with him. the anxiety in your chest lessens, every minute that goes by you can feel yourself calm just a bit more.
felix dips his head down as he delicately pulls you back, eyes meeting your own. "it's not gonna hurt you, it's okay. i'm here, baby."
a few kisses are pressed on your cheek, and then one on your forehead. he hums, cheek resting against you, the feeling vibrating through your body.
you're not sure how long you sit like this, but you haven't felt and rumbles for a few minutes. when you've calmed down a bit, you lean back, rain still pouring down on the windows.
"i'm still mad at you."
the corner of his mouth turns up at one side, his fingers rubbing along the bloated edges of your cheeks. "i'd be disappointed if you weren't."

could you do one where felix gets mad about something and shouts at reader then feels bad
yes! I love angst to fluff <3
I hope you enjoy xx
pairing: felix catton x fem! reader
warnings: use of y/n, angst to fluff, felix yelling, sort of toxic relationship, miscommunication, jealous!felix, established relationship. not proof read
a/n: sorry for being MIA, I’m back xx
☙☙☙☙
You and Felix weren’t getting along this week. You couldn’t understand why he was being so difficult and defensive. It was annoying you and to be completely honest, you’d had enough.
So you decided to ignore him until things cooled down. Unbeknownst to you, this made the situation worse. Felix didn’t like when you ignored him. If you were dating him then you were his. Plain and simple.
So when you weren’t responding to his texts or calls, he came knocking on your door.
“Y/n,” he called from your dorm room door. “Y/n open up,” Felix said urgently.
You opened the door and looked up at Felix. He looked upset but also angry. “Hi Felix, what’s up?” You said shortly.
“What’s up?” Felix scoffed. “You’ve been ignoring me all week, y/n. And I’ve come to see if you’re okay and all I get is ‘what’s up?’”
You gesture for him to come inside, so you aren’t fighting in the hallway. “Well you are the one who’s been acting all moody lately,” you say, closing the door.
Felix turned to face you, “I have not!” He said, crossing his arms and pouting like a little boy.
“You’re proving my point, god you always act like a spoiled brat when you don’t get enough attention!” You snap.
This made Felix really angry,
“Hey! At least I wasn’t flirting with the bartender at the pub two nights ago on our date. You are so needy for attention, you’re worse than Farliegh. It’s embarrassing,” he snapped back at you.
If words cut, then you would had needed stitches. Felix’s words slashed through you like a knife and your eyes filled with tears.
“Take that back,” you said lowly, voice cracking.
As soon as Felix said the words he regretted them. His heart broke seeing you so upset. Felix didn’t even know why he said it. He was just jealous for the bartender flirting with you. You didn’t even do anything wrong. And it wasn’t right to throw that in your face.
“Y/n, I’m sorry—,” he began. But you shook your head and stormed past him.
Felix called after you and followed you down to the court yard. “Y/n wait, please,” he grabbed your arm.
You turned around with tears in your eyes. “Let me apologize. I fucked up I’m sorry,” Felix said to you softly.
“Just so you know, I did not flirt with the bartender. And I am not an attention whore,” you defended, a tear streaming down your face.
Felix quickly wiped it away. “I know, I know. What I said was mean and untrue. I’m sorry,” he said. Felix pulled you into a hug and kissed your forehead.
“Forgive me?” Felix asked softly. You nodded into chest and a smile appeared on his list.
“I love you, Y/n,” Felix said softly. You pulled away to look at his face. “I love you too, Felix.”
A small smile appeared on your face. “That’s my girl. My favorite smile,” Felix grinned.
“Let me make it up to you,” he smiled, taking your hand and kiss in your knuckles.
You nodded and the two of you spent the entire night in his dorm. Felix between your legs the entire time.

Stray Kids as Spooky Season Dates + kinks
Skz (all members) x reader
word count: ~3k
My first real post for Spooyfest is here! Each has a mood board, fluffy date, and the spicy end of the night with the kinks specified, so this work is nsfw. Minors do not interact. Lmk what other groups you might wanna see this for! Also thank you @kiestrokes for making sure my grammar isn’t fucked, ily. Happy haunting!
Chan // camping & bonfire // free-use + somno
Tumblr media
Chan would like the intimacy of camping. It’s just you and him, out in the woods, and the whole idea of forcing himself to disconnect from his obligations for a while is alluring to him. He would pick you up, and tease you the whole drive about the perfect weekend he’d planned. Once you’re at the campground, he would want you to watch him set everything up; he doesn’t want you to lift a finger. He just wants you to sit there, look pretty, and watch. When it gets dark out, he lights a fire and you roast marshmallows together and watch the stars. You spend the night in his arms giggling and getting tipsy before curling up in your sleeping bags together, passing out listening to the crickets.
But a few hours later, you’re woken up from your steamy dream by Chan grinding into your ass, fingers dipping into your underwear, and panting into your ear about how much he loves you and how hard you make him. He can’t help it. He’s hissing in your ear about how he’ll take such good care of you, and how you don’t need to lift a finger. Just let him please you. As soon as he gets a yes from you, he’s pulling off your underwear and sliding into you, groaning about how he’s wanted you all night. He makes sure you’re crying and begging him to cum after pulling countless delirious orgasms out of you before he finishes. After he’s done and he’s helped you through all the aftercare you need and desire, he’s tucking you back into your joint sleeping bag where you fall asleep naked with him wrapped around you, knowing the morning will bring more of the same.
Minho // pumpkin patch // pet play + car sex
Tumblr media
Minho is taking you to the pumpkin patch, but he won’t go to some shoddy nearby one. No, he’s driving you to the nicest pumpkin patch within a 2-hour drive from you. He’s playing it off like he’s doing it just because you asked, but you both know he’s doing it because he’s unbelievably soft for you. It’s also definitely not just because this specific pumpkin patch is known to have friendly cats roaming around. But you have a surprise for him — you brought matching bunny eared headbands to wear, telling him it’s so you won’t lose him while you’re out on the farm. He rolls his eyes, but puts it in anyway. And you see his smile when you beg to take a picture of the two of you together. At the end of the afternoon, he’s buying you all the pumpkins your heart desires and making plans for everything he’s gonna do with his pumpkin haul.
But on the way home, despite the fact that he’s already thrown his bunny ears in the backseat, he huffs in annoyance every time you fidget with yours. It’s only when you get home and you see the outline of his cock you figure out what he’s been so bothered by. Before he can get out of the car, you turn on him with big doe eyes — knowing exactly what it does to him — and the smirk you get in response proves you right. He tells you that you’ve been a good bunny, and you deserve a reward. He pulls you into the backseat with him and the next thing you know, you’re crying and drooling into the expensive leather while he rams into your cervix repeatedly. You can’t remember how many times he’s made you cum but you can tell by his grunts and groans he’s nearing the end. After he’s finished, he jokes about needing to find you a bunny tail to go with your ears before redressing you and helping you inside. He’ll deal with the pumpkins later — his bunny needs more attention first.
Changbin // Ghost tour // exhibition + praise
Tumblr media
It takes some convincing, but eventually you get Changbin to go on a ghost tour with you. He puts a brave face on when you’re at dinner beforehand, flexing his muscles and telling you he’ll protect you from any ghosts. However, once the tour starts, he has a death grip on your hand and every time someone steps on a branch or the wind blows his hood off, he’s jumping and cursing, loudly. But the moment you gasp or jump, he’s pulling you behind him and standing in front of you ready to square up with any ghost. The fact that he’s so scared but still willing to defend you melts your heart. After the tour is done, you shower some compliments on your big, brave Binnie; he deserves them.
But after you’ve sufficiently gassed him up, he’s rock hard and dying to take you home. But he knows he can’t last that long. He drags you into a bar playing something loud and aggressive, past the people dancing left and right and straight into the bathroom. He barely gives you time to question before your pants are around your ankles and he’s stretching you out on his fingers. He can’t stop moaning into your ear about how much he loves you, how much he loves fucking you, and how he could never ask for anyone better. Once he’s decided he’s stretched you out enough, he’s picking you up and fucking you against the door, ignoring the knocking and jangling door handle. Changbin barely even hears them, all he can think about is you. After he’s done blowing your back out, he’ll make sure to get you cleaned up and then carry you out of the bar, past all the angry people waiting for the bathroom, and right back to your car so he can take you home and show you again and again that he’s the best Binnie in the whole world.
Hyunjin // planning Halloween costumes // mask + fear play
Tumblr media
Hyunjin just seems like someone who’d live for the drama of Halloween and he’s planning couple fits for literally every outing imaginable. Corn maze with the group, pumpkin patch with your friends, even just an afternoon decorating session; you name it, he’s got an outfit ready for you to wear. But his absolute favorite is dressing up on Halloween and hitting all the parties and bars. He knows you both look good and he’s thriving under all the attention. Especially because you’re both wearing masks — he loves the rush anonymity brings and it makes him let loose a little more than usual. He’s got you dancing and drinking well past midnight before you’re dragging him home.
But once he’s got you home he says he has a special costume he saved just for you; and he wants to try something new. You have to play his game and beg him to show you the costume and tell you what he wants — it’s a routine you’re used to with him. But when he steps out of the bathroom wearing a ghostface mask, you know what he wants. Your heart shoots into your throat as you push yourself off the couch and start running. His heavy steps behind you push you forward until you slip on a rug and end up in his arms, being pulled to the floor. Before you know it, he’s got you naked under him, watching him pound into you in the full length mirror on your bedroom wall. He makes you cum twice before he’s ripping the mask off and flipping you over to finish on your stomach with a satisfied smile on his face. After he’s collected you and your tattered costume off the floor, he’s helping you into the bathtub with him where he soothes your bruised skin and frayed nerves with kisses and soft touches.
Han // coffee dates // auralism + orgasm control
Tumblr media
Jisung is such a soft boy, and he always wants you to be comfortable and at ease with him. So what’s better than a cozy coffee date? He’s picking you up, dressed to impress, and giving you flowers before whisking you away to your favourite coffee shop where he’ll treat you to coffee and pastries. It’s a quaint, cozy place you two go a lot and spend hours basking in each other’s company. Sometimes Jisung tinkers on his computer while you read, or sometimes you sit and talk to each other about everything and nothing for hours. After a while though, you decide to take your coffees to go and stroll in the park together before it starts to rain and you decide to head home to soak in the autumnal vibes the day has brought.
But after you get caught in the rain on the way home, you both decide taking a bath together is the only way to stave off the cold that threatens you both. You strip down to nothing and get in the tub with him behind you. You simply bask in the warmth with him until you feel his fingers slipping between your thighs, teasing you. The sound of the water with his movements mixed with his moans is mesmerizing and you close your eyes, letting the sensations wash over you. Eventually, it becomes too much and you bat his hands away before turning to face him and sinking into him. The sloshing of the water in the tub, the wet slaps of your skin meeting his, and his desperate whines are nearly enough to send you over the edge. But it’s his broken voice pleading for you to cum that does it. After you clean up the water that spilled onto your bathroom floor, you both curl up together in bed and fall asleep to the sound of rain pattering against your windows.
Felix // Pie Baking // d/s dynamics + face fucking
Tumblr media
Felix wakes you up with a phone call, asking you to come over and spend the day baking festive treats with him. Of course you agree. When you show up, he’s already on the second set of cookies. There’s soft, lo-fi music playing in the background, and it smells like a full bakery, and Felix is waiting for you with a soft smile and an apron just for you. You spend the rest of the day in the bubble he created for you both, full of laughter, snacks, music, and your favourite person in the world. Once you’ve gotten through all of his recipes for the day, you decide to give into one of your mischievous impulses and grab a handful of flour that leaves your hand headed in his direction before you can properly think it through. He gasps and before you can even think to run, he’s got his arms around you and is shaking his flour covered hair onto you, thoroughly coating you in the white powder.
But after you finish laughing, his eyes are hardening as he catches your chin in his hand. He asks if you thought there wouldn’t be any consequences, and the clench of his jaw tells you what type of mood he’s in. It’s serious. You fall to your knees in front of him, opening your mouth obediently, making him chuckle and shake his head. He’s not complaining though. Pretty soon he has you drooling with tears pouring down your face as he pistons his hips, holding you in place by your hair. Your jaw hurts, and your knees are starting to ache but the praises falling out of his mouth are more important than any discomfort you’re feeling. He’s praising how well he’s trained you, and complimenting your lack of resistance. Telling you how nice you look when you’re being ruined by him. And you love it. But he isn’t done with you yet — before long he’s got you naked, perched precariously on the counter and matching every thrust of his hips with one of your own. After you clean up the mess you made of the kitchen, you’re cuddling up with him on the couch with tea and all the goods you’ve baked.
Seungmin // Spooky movies // Choking + biting
Tumblr media
The boys had invited you over for a scary movie marathon, and while normally you would jump at the offer, you just weren’t in the mood to be scared that day, which led to a polite decline, and many many assurances to your best friend Seungmin that you were fine. You resigned yourself to a day of solo self care, but 20 minutes into your skincare routine, your front door is opening and Seungmin barrels in with bags of snacks, and his laptop tucked under his arm. He simply shrugs when you ask what he’s doing there, telling you that he wasn’t up for a scary movie day either, so he decided to hide away with you; the only stipulation is that you have to watch all of the cozy spooky movies his heart desires. Of course you agree, because you know he’s only doing it for you – of course your favourite person knows that spooky movies are your absolute favourite. You spend the whole day cuddled on the couch with him, eating junk food and doing face masks. And after the sun sets, and you break out the bottles of soju you kept after the last party you hosted at your place. You couldn’t tell if it was the soju or the soft orange glow from the lights you strung around your living room, but Seungmin had never looked prettier. The liquid courage swimming in your stomach loosens your tongue during Nightmare Before Christmas and you make a joke that you relate to Sally, pining for someone (him) who doesn’t see you. He scoffs, leaning over and planting a kiss on your mouth, making a joke that you should know that Jack and Sally end up together in the end.
But after the credits roll, you’re turning to him to ask what he meant by that, and what it means for you; but he beats you to it and is pinning you underneath him, hands ghosting up your sides. He tells you he’s always wanted you, and now that he knows you feel the same he isn’t so nervous. You tell him you want him, you’ve always wanted him. He nods, stripping you both of your clothes before settling between your thighs. He nips at the skin of your chest and neck, leaving bite marks you know you’ll feel for days while he works his way into you. His hand finds your neck as you moan his name, eyes rolling back as he coaxes you through your joint orgasm. After you both catch your breath, he drags you to bed where you spend the rest of the night whispering to each other until the sun comes up, secure in knowing your relationship has changed but only for the better.

It’s not hard to convince Jeongin to go with you to a Haunted House, despite the fact that it’s definitely not something you’d agreed to when you started your arrangement. But it’s with a group of you, including his friends, and It’s one of those big ones that everyone goes to with actors who jump out at you. It’s really more surprising that you want to go to begin with — you hate being scared — but he loves to try and scare you. Despite everything, you and Jeongin are friends, and the benefits have never gotten in the way of that. But when you enter the haunted house, it’s not you who reaches for him, but him for you. And you know it’s not for his gain but for yours. Every jumpscare pulls a shriek out of you, followed by an embarrassed apology, and you can hear the blood rushing in your ears. But the whole time, Jeongin remains firmly by your side, holding you close to him and whispering calming things to you as you make your way toward the exit. He spends the rest of the night praising you for being so brave and you can’t help but feel butterflies every time he does it.
But as you’re leaving for the night, walking with the group in the dark parking lot, he decides to sneak up behind you and scare you. Which accidentally sends you into tears — which only makes you cry harder because you’re so embarrassed you started crying in the first place. Your friends chastise him as they all pile into their cars and leave you and a red faced Jeongin together, alone. You both stammer through apologies and an awkward car ride back to your place. You can’t even look at him until you’re standing in your entryway when you see that he’s been staring at you, and the zipper on the front of his pants is straining against him. He tells you that seeing you cry made him want to lick the tears off your face and made him so hard he could barely think, and he has something new he wants to try. You agree and find yourself bent into positions you could never imagine before, on display for him as he teases you into tears. You’re begging to cum, and shivering with every degrading comment but you’ve never been so wound up. All it takes is for him to lick the salty tears off your face as he gives you another painfully slow thrust to unravel with a scream. After he’s calmed you down and wiped your tears, he pulls you into his arms and reassures you he didn’t really mean all the nasty things he said and you fall asleep to him playing with the ends of your hair.
