Any of you fellow Dracula fans also producers, film crew, etc. like me?
I'm writing a Dracula movie which, slowly but surely, I will direct - and I can't be the only one on set who is "Totally Normal" about JonMina.
If any of you Dracula fans are filmmakers - or know people who would love to help - hopefully we can make a Dracula feature film together that finally does the book (and fandom) justice!
Moderator: You know it's Poppy and Branch you know furthering their story their evolution but it's also furthering the story of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick because they played these characters now for you know seven plus years so what was that collaboration for you?
Elizabeth: They're a couple that everyone ships like I think we're all like yes Poppy and Branch and we definitely talked a lot about where we start them and where we end them and
I think that we didn't take them so far and there were definitely versions of the script where you know maybe they ended a little farther than they actually ended up in this version
I love watching them together I love seeing them I love their small moments I love watching these two characters evolve over the movies you know where especially like poppy is a little smarter now. They're not like the arch characters that they were in that first one and I love their love and I think that they're a great couple.
Meaning, the style you could fall for. Nor is this a masquerade get-up. Margery Ordway, regular, professional, licensed, union crank-turner at Camp Morosco, has gone into camera work as nonchalantly as other girls take up stenography, nursing, husband-stalking.
No offense, but the people asking for a Les Mis 2012 Extended Director’s cut with bonus extra scenes that somehow magically makes the movie better and retroactively fixes its problems, remind me of those people who were asking for the Secret Good Fourth Sherlock Episode…..
As a fan of the weird wonky mess that is Les Mis 2012, I feel like you kinda just gotta take it for what it is. XD
And I also don’t think you can expect a “remastered” version to fix anything, because almost all “remasters” are basically just minor visual tweaks that give film companies an excuse to charge you for the same product again.
" Is it true?
You've been feelin' sort of low these days
Just don't have a place to go these days
Must be bringin' you down
If it's so
Then come on, give this loverboy a try
I'll put the sparkle right back in your eyes
What could you lose? "
Oh my love I don’t need to talk shit about byler when you see how many horny girls go insane for it you realise it’s not about rep but girls obsessing over males
idk i think this is such a weird take even though i do agree fetishization within fandoms is an issue that should be discussed and i also think this take does not apply to most bylers. i didn’t start shipping byler until season 4 aired. i’ve been watching the season since like the week season 1 aired. i truly think most of us ship mike and will because the context is showing an obvious deeper connection between these two characters. i cannot speak for everyone’s reasoning as to why they ship byler, but i can speak for mine and 1) i care about queer rep as a queer person, 2) i personally find the build up and symbolism of mike and will’s love to be beautiful, and 3) i love stranger things and i’ve decided to analyze the media i’m consuming the way i want to and it just so happens that it led to shipping byler.
not sure why i’m wasting time answering this ask, especially since it’s from months ago, but i feel like i want to extinguish this kind of thinking in regards to why i and most other fans ship byler.
Florence was a guest on Zach Braff’s podcast to discuss her career and their new film A Good Person, which is out today!
I especially loved this bit at the end about her thoughts on possibly Directing films one day:
“I’d love to be a Director. I think I need to learn a bit more. I need to soak it up. It’s such a tricky position to have, and to lead, and to be a leader on a film set. You really have to be-You have to know your shit. And if you don’t a lot of people can get, you know, twisted up by that. And I think, for me, I don’t want to go in and not know and then affect an actor badly…It’s something that you really should go in knowing that you can do it. So I think I’m just going to do a bit more learning.”
