a/n: wasn't able to get this out on time cuz i was busy but day 6 of the valentines event yippee!! also i have now spent 161 pulls for matthias and i still haven't gotten him yet. im now entering my villain arc

Starting off, Antonio loves giving you words of affirmation and physical touch. Every single day, whenever he's around you, he'll be holding your hand or hugging you affectionately as he whispers compliments and sweet words into your ears. He'll back off a bit if you dislike PDA, though. As much as he just wants to pick you up and smother you with his affection, he'll happily wait until the two of you are in private if that's what makes you comfortable. When it comes to receiving love, Antonio likes words of affirmation and quality time. He's often busy with matches or practicing a new song, so any time spent with you is time he treasures. It also makes him giddy whenever you compliment him. Whether it be you praising him after playing a song or doing well in a match, he always loves receiving your compliments.

Andrew is a bit awkward with his affection, but he loves to give you quality time whenever he can. It's not really something he can explain, but something about you just being there with him seems to wash all his worries away and make him feel truly at peace. Also, he likes to receive words of affirmation from you. Again, your presence is soothing to him, and whenever you give him kind words and reassurances, it always makes him feel calm and happy.

Kevin is extremely affectionate, and he loves giving just about everything. Oftentimes, when he's near you, he'll come up behind you and gently wrap his arms around your waist, giving you a surprise hug as well as a quick kiss on the cheek. He also likes giving you little compliments accompanied by affectionate petnames as he hugs you. Also, he'll be happy to take care of just about anything for you if he sees that you're feeling tired or unwell, and he'll give you a little gift in hopes that he can cheer you up, even if just a little bit. When it comes to receiving your affection, Kevin adores whenever you spend quality time with him or do little acts of service to help him. It never fails to make him feel warm inside when you offer to do some little mundane tasks for him before sitting down on the couch and cuddling with him.

Luchino is very busy, so he tries to apologize for it by spending quality time with you. He doesn't have very much time between matches and continuing his research on whatever new topic has caught his interest, but he always tries to make time for you at least once or twice a day. Oftentimes, he'll spend lunch with you, engaging in a pleasant conversation with you before he returns to his work. Sometimes, though, his work keeps him busy during your usual noon meeting times, so he tries to apologize by finding you sometime later in the day and spending a few moments with you. When he's receiving affection, Luchino loves whenever you give him words of affirmation and physical touch. It always warms his heart whenever you pay him a visit while he's working himself to the bone in his office. When you walk over to his chair and gently massage his shoulders while you whisper kind words in his ears, he just absolutely melts. He has a soft spot for you, and whenever you're sweet and kind to him, he always feels warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Matthias doesn't really know how to show affection, but he always tries to give you some quality time and gifts in order to show his love to you. Mostly, he just likes to be around you, as your presence tends to make him feel less worried and more peaceful. Oftentimes, the two of you aren't really doing anything specific together, he just likes to tag along with you wherever you go. Also, he'll often try to give you some small things that remind him of you. Typically, he either picks a few flowers from the manor's garden and gives them to you in a small bouquet, or he'll give you small little trinkets like a locket or something of the sort for you to keep in your pockets for good luck. When he receives affection from you, he values words of affirmation the most. Your kind reassurances always help him whenever he's feeling worried or doubtful of himself, and he feels honoured that you think of him so highly. He also likes receiving physical touch, though he prefers if you'd ask first before you touch him; It makes him more comfortable.

Naib isn't the best with affection, but he tries his best for you, and he often shows his love through acts of service and quality time. Most often, he tries to take care of miscellaneous tasks for you so that you're not too exhausted by the end of the day, and he loves to sit down and relax with you on the couch in the evenings. He's not used to receiving affection, so any kind actions from you tend to make him feel warm and jittery inside, really. Though, he especially loves whenever you give him words of affirmation or physical touch. After a long day, Naib loves nothing more than when you cuddle up to him and make him swoon with sweet compliments. He practically melts in your embrace every time, and all of his worry and stress that built up our the course of the day seems to dissipate immediately, leaving a happy and content Naib leaning comfortably into your touch.

Lastly, William is also very affectionate, and he likes to show you love through physical touch and gift giving the most. Several times throughout the day, he'll just casually walk up to you and proceed to give you the tightest spine-crushing hug ever before letting go, ruffling your hair, and walking off to go participate in another match with a goofy smile. He also gives you a bunch of random things, usually for no reason besides that he thought you'd like it. He gives you just about anything, whether it be flowers, chocolate, necklaces, or other things. He just likes to shower you in love and affection constantly. When he's on the receiving end, William is a sucker for words of affirmation and quality time. He just loves it whenever you tell him how great he did in a match or how well he did when practicing rugby, it just seems to always make him feel all giddy inside, and he can't help but grin like a lovestruck fool. He also adores the moments whenever you two are hanging around together. It doesn't matter what the two of you are doing, he just loves being able to spend time with you.

Most-to-Least Protective: Survivor Guys

I had less time to write before work today, but some good inspo so I whipped up this example for the ranking requests I take! For this one I just used the ten who came to mind and who im probably most familiar with

This is meant in general terms, not just for in Matches. The primary situations I considered for this are heated arguments, physical altercations, and near-death experiences. The ranking considers their responses to these situations, as well as how strong their protective feelings are.

MOST 🔻

Naib would do just about anything in defense of a loved one. Argue, fight, kill, anything. It’s not like he hasn’t done it all before anyway. Naib refuses to lose anyone else, it’s not even an option to him. If someone tried to make it happen anyway? He’s enraged beyond giving his usual mercy of a quick death. He’s gonna make it hurt.

Andrew is not super likely to argue on your behalf, unless you count cussing someone out as “arguing.” In which case it’s like 50/50. He’s more willing to step in physically. He doesn’t want to be a glorified meat-shield, but if your life were in danger he would 100% crack someone over the head with his shovel. He won’t intentionally kill someone for you but it may happen, depending on how that shovel lands. He won’t feel bad about it either way. He’s already an angry guy, and it’s even more intense when you’re in danger.

Kevin would initiate an argument on your behalf. Also very willing to throw hands on your behalf and doesn’t care if he gets hurt. He really doesn’t want to kill anyone, but if there’s no other choice he will. Your safety as his loved one comes before anyone else’s, even his own. Surprisingly, he becomes more level-headed and calculating as the danger to you increases. In other words, he’s at his most emotional in a verbal argument.

Norton mostly trusts you to handle your own issues, but if you’re obviously uncomfortable or intimidated he’ll place himself between you and the threat. Might get into a fight for you if it were serious, but his preferred way to handle things would be dealing petty revenge behind the scenes. (or, during a personality flip, violent revenge.) He would kill someone for you if there was no other way. His feelings are more intense than his actions normally suggest, but he’s concerned about going too far like he did in the mining accident.

William is a large, strong guy, who’s very rough in his sports but not so much outside them. He’ll gladly speak up for you if someone’s being a jerk, but he may or may not make the best arguments. He’s happy to be your shield and willing to throw a punch or two if someone else strikes first but, again, he’d rather wrap things up before getting to that point. If he had to, he’d probably kill to protect you, but it would haunt him for the rest of his life. He’s very hot-headed in regards to your safety.

If Victor is one thing, it’s brave. He’s not likely to speak on your behalf, or try to hurt someone for you, but he’s more than willing to place himself in harm’s way if it means he has even a chance of getting you out of it. He always lingers close by if there’s tension in the air so he can pull you behind him at a moment’s notice.

Luca is very likely to step into an argument on your behalf—though in his case it’s more him trying to end the argument rather than engage it. He’s willing to step into danger to guide you out of it, but not to attempt violence. Not because he doesn’t care, but because he knows he’s too weak to be helpful in that way. He’s quite calm up until your life is in immediate danger, at which point he would beg his more-capable friends to save you.

Aesop is not protective in the moment at all. He won’t step in to argue or fight for you, and isn’t very likely to step into life-threatening danger, either. His self-appointed role is healing and comforting you after the fact. And, secretly, plotting revenge. No one ever suspects Aesop as being the type to hold a grudge. But I stand by what I said in his general HCs: if we go by canon, he’s easily one of the most dangerous people in the manor.

Edgar is pretty unhelpful. Listen, listen…you’re supposed to be the tough cookie in this relationship. Edgar has venom for days; he’ll run his mouth off if you want him to, sure, but he’s not throwing himself into danger just because you can’t handle it. If you almost die…well, you’re one of the few things he cares about anymore, so the line must be drawn. If they’re within reach, the culprit ought to watch their backs for a while. And maybe not eat or drink anything they didn’t prepare themselves.

Joker is a lot like Aesop, but there’s like a 90% chance of it being without the revenge bit. He does, in fact, hold grudges, but he’s still not likely to attempt anything against someone. If they did something really horrible to you he’ll look into whatever form of public justice can be dealt to them, even if that just means trying to rally the other members of the manor into shunning them. Unlike Aesop, he’s somewhat likely to try to stop a verbal altercation, but he’s not very assertive and ends up not being much help.

Different Worlds 18 (January, 1982). The most science fiction cover we’ve seen in a while, by Kevin C. Ellis. I’m kind of a sucker for these sorts of space combat scenes, even though they tend to be a little static and boring (so, so many Space Gamer covers like this, to the point they all look basically the same). On the other hand, they almost always have interesting formal elements, unusual color schemes and lots of detail, like this one! Lot of Star Wars star destroyer inspiration here, I think.

How yandere Idv boys would react to being asked if they 'like like' you after confessing (Survs + Hunters)

Characters: Eli, Norton, Naib, William, Ganji, Kevin, Andrew, Luca, Antonio, Wu Chang, Joseph, and Jack

A/n: Help I stayed up all night again and I gotta reread this when I wake up at 8 PM later (It's literally 9:05 in the morning rn bruh)

Um, I guess? Lol

"... Yes. I 'like like' you."

He says it in the most serious tone ever. He does laugh a little afterwards though so 👌

Brooke cocked her head to the side and quickly looked back at Eli for confirmation for what you just said. His face was dead on in your direction, so she just took it as, "Go with the flow."

Norton

"No? I love you."

Would get emotional because he thinks you're gonna friendzone him, or worse, reject him.

Once you explain that you're not that great at wording and you just wanted to accentuate what your saying into shorter terms, Norton finally understands that you're not directly telling him you dont share the same feelings.

He though you were making fun of his confession for a bit a first

"So, do you, 'like like' me too?"

Naib

Um, I think so?

"I do like you Y/n, but it's far greater than 'like like'."

He also thinks you're gonna friendzone him.

He tries not to question you as this is a serious moment and he doesn't want it to be more awkward as it already is.

But he caves and asks you what you mean by 'like like'. You explained it to him and Naib thought it was one of the most dumbest ways you could try to say attracted.

"Why couldn't you have said romantically attracted?"

"Well, because, uhhh idk cause it was easier."

"Omfg..."

He still loves you, he just looks at you as a bit dumber than he thought (Not like that changes his feelings about you. Naib loves that you're a bit aloof and will cherish you everyday of his life no matter what)

William

"Yes! I do 'like like' you!"

Got the memo very quickly. 1 shared braincell moment.

Likes how you two get along so well! He thinks that you basically said that you liked him as much as he likes you, so strap in and hold on bc you're in for one hell of a ride.

Ganji

... He doesn't understand

"Like like? Is this a joke I haven't been told of???"

You explain it to him and he's greatly relived. He really thought he embarrassed himself there and lost the chance with you forever.

He's used to your way of talking, but he just got so nervous while confessing that he just freaked. Ganji's mind ran through so many scenarios and mishaps when you said that.

"Oh *ahem* then, I guess I do 'like like' you..." (He's blushing and looking away shyly as we speak >\\\<)

Kevin

Yes yes yes yes yes

"I like like like like you!"

Very much same energy given. Kevin loses his flirty persona and gives you genuine reactions.

Dw he's still a smooooth cowboy; All he wants to do is to show you the true authentic side of himself before you go on thinking he's just trying to hit on you even harder.

"I truly do love you Y/n. You're the only one I want. I love love love love looooooveeee you!"

Andrew

Did he say something wrong? Oh no he just blew it. He knew he shouldn't have confessed to you today. You're trying to investigate him further so you can really make fun of his waste of an attempt later.

"... I'm sorry, I don't think we should speak right now..."

You're gonna have to tackle him to stop him from running away.

You explain to him through his nervous babbling. Once he's got it, Andrew is gonna just be sitting there a bit dumbfounded.

"Oh... I'm sorry for misunderstanding you. Please forgive me."

You're the only one he really trusts and ultimately loves, please dont hate him from now on.

Luca

Yes

"I like like you!"

He answers you how you expect him to. Straight to the point and unfiltered as per usual.

Luca is so happy you understand him and his vibes! He knows you're only making sure, so he's gonna give you exactly what you want! Just give yourself something back in return!

Antonio

Erm, sure why not

"Yes... of course I do."

He thinks you're so cute when you're aloof. Your questioning makes him want you even more.

Antonio wants to lure you to him as to gain your trust. He doesn't need anymore running from you.

Be careful if you do try to turn the other way, he's quicker than you think.

"Symphonies can't compare to your melodies..."

Wu Chang

Xie: uhhhh, yeah, we do like you a lot :)

Fan: We love you? What is this 'like like' nonsense???

Xie hits Fan as a signal to follow his lead. Xie tries to lure you in by being compliant and nice just like Antonio.

Fan likes you being a bit of an airhead, but sometimes during serious moments like these, his patience gets quite low.

"Fan, don't you 'like like' Y/n too?"

"Tch, yes. I do 'like like' Y/n."

"I'm glad that's settled. Now Y/n, I wonder if you 'like like' us?"

Joseph

Perhaps

"If that's what you want to see it as, then I guess I can say I 'like like' you."

He loves how you make up these funny little terms. It's interesting.

You bring so much light and color into this world. How could he let you slip away now that he has you in his grip?

"We're pass the point of no return Y/n. How will you proceed Y/n?"

Jack

Okay lol

"*laughs* Of course not. I'm infatuated in you darling."

Of course he likes you. He wouldn't be confessing his love and his 'deepest darkest' secret to you if he didn't.

You entertain him to no end. Jack enjoys your way of talking. It really spices up your conversations.

It also helps you evade death.

"Can't you say the same for me Y/n?" (Say yes or else :D)
