— you and emma are both dating and you try everything to court your crush, draken.

you and emma were the oh so coveted omega couple of the town. so unusual for two fragile things like you to actually turn to another omega rather than an alpha who can properly take care of you.

but whatever people could think about the stability of your relationship, the both of you were a happy little pair who wanted nothing more than to stay together.

you thought that none of you would ever come to crave the touch of an alpha, to try and attract one. but here you were, desperately looking for the tall man working at his bike shop.

you met him at emma's house, he's a friend of her brother and comes rather regularly. still, emma never actually took the time to properly talk with him so she didn't really knew what he was like.

but a few weeks prior, when you were waiting for emma to get dressed, draken offered to escort the both of you to your destination. his eyes were filled with nothing but genuine concern and you found the three of you enjoying the conversation upon your walk there.

kind, strong, reliable and respectful. draken was definitely a change. not that you or emma was getting tired of your relationship, but your love was big enough to be shared with an extra person.

you didn't need to have a serious talk together, your mind and desires were so in tunes you knew exactly what the other was thinking. you thought having an alpha by your side wasn't so bad after all.

so you spent most of your days courting him. it was subtle, more like attempts at being friendly and appearing small in hopes to spark his protective instincts.

unexpectedly, draken was hard to get. the lovely mixture of both your vanilla scent and emma's honey one usually made people stop in their tracks and whip their heads into your direction. but draken remained stoic, never flinching when your chest brushed against his big arm just a little too close and emma's hand lingered a while longer on his biceps.

so you decided you had to take things further and got even bolder.

you once mindlessly 'forgot' your sweater over when you had to give him the homework he had missed the day before. your scent was sure to be spreading inside his whole room if he didn't throw it out. but he gave it to you the next day, clothe neatly folded in a bag as if your serious courting gift didn't happen. similarly, emma and you would bake a few of your favourite treats, showing off your cooking skills and handing it to him in a pretty box all cutely tied up with pink ribbons and glitters. he ate all of it and thanked you with a neutral smile, not even hinting that he might be just a tiny bit interested.

draken's self control was insane, making you actually question if he was an alpha for how little response he showed when you nearly drowned him in your sugary sweet pheromones. you swore you once saw his eyebrows twitch but you couldn't say anything else as he left you there right after.

you were so upset he wasn't responding accordingly and emma felt as frustrated as you. "what the hell is so disgusting about us that he won't even look our way", she huffed, cuddling closer to you in your nest, feeling vexed at his lack of reaction.

"don't say that emma! I'm sure with a little more time he'll finally give in", she looked at you unconvinced, but didn't say anything, preferring to let you stay optimistic about it.

and how right you were. it has only been two weeks of intensive courting and draken's patience was running thin. he didn't know how to feel, he didn't know how to react, but most importantly, he didn't know if you were aware of how unusually tempting the both of you were being.

draken knew you were dating, and he respected that. he opted for the role of a guard dog, chasing away people who thought you were easy preys and a real walking fantasy.

draken would've lied if he said seeing his two omega friends so close to him and giving him extra attention didn't flatter him. it made him soften up more than he'd like to admit.

he'd taken the habit of buying you guys food and sweets along with pastries, he had your tastes figured out and couldn't help but worry about whether you took care of yourselves properly.

he knew that was probably disrespectful and he didn't want any of you to know how he felt. he wanted to preserve that precious friendship and for you not to associate him with those lust-driven alphas.

when you invited him over to your house in one ultimate attempt to make him crumble, draken thought he was going to explode.

you guided him inside your nest room, forced him down next to the blankets and plushies – which you drowned in your scents a few minutes before – and proceeded to sit next to him on each side.

you settled on watching a movie after all but begging draken to actually stay over even if your little plumbing problem had been solved by him soon after he arrived. he gulped as he watched the two of you reach for the popcorn bowl you put in his lap, bending over each time you reached for a fist of your favourite treat.

draken kept growing hotter with each passing minutes as, weirdly, problems after problems seemed to arise. first, you mysteriously cut yourself, "draken, my finger hurts a lot. I think you should kiss it better". and emma watches with an amused smile how the big man softly treats your tiny wound, gently blowing on it after putting a bandage on it.

draken feels himself lose his patience even more after emma undresses herself, claiming it's always too hot when there are multiple people in the nest. removing her sweater, she's left with nothing but a tight top which barely covers her tits.

draken's scent is getting stronger and you take that as your first little victory as he always was so composed. you turn to emma who gives you a knowing look and you both agree to try something else. you were ready to risk it all, draken was either gonna accept your courting or your friendship was over !

"draken..." you start, "don't you like us?" the question came out more hesitantly than you expected and you waited for his response.

"... what?" he looks at you with visible confusion.

"oh come on, don't tell us you didn't notice how serious it was for us. it's like you don't even care" the annoyance in emma's voice is quickly replaced by hurt, her omega growing sadder at the rejection of her alpha.

draken felt himself panicking, almost clueless until he finally connects the dots. no wonder you were so clingy and acted this cute with him.

draken didn't know how to feel about having your full attention on him, but your little confession had him weak in the knees.

draken wasn't usually one to be this dumb about such topics. he'd say he's actually rather observant. but your attachment to him had totally been misunderstood, thinking you just liked him as a friend. he had forced himself to the point he tried to keep his distance with you because he didn't want to be a homewrecker, even with how his instincts nearly killed him each time he had to watch you close your door leaving him outside when all he wanted was to join you and take care of you like you deserved.

after the initial confusion, draken was ecstatic, like he had finally accomplished his utmost dream.

"if you don't like us courting you, just say it !"

"w-what? oh no, please don't believe that", he quickly denied your accusations, "I just didn't catch on it, I thought you liked me but not like..."

emma huffed, angry that draken was so slow. he noted both of your frustration and made it his priority to appease you.

"I'm sorry. i didn't mean to upset you. and I... really love you"

god, it felt like a weight had been lifted off of your shoulders. you looked at emma's sparkling eyes, your own scent growing sweeter by the joy you felt.

you took that as his permission to cuddle so you shimmied closer to him, strong arms falling on the both of you, shielding you like never before.

The last thing Takashi expected when he walked into your shared apartment was the view of his beautiful girlfriend collecting toys and pillows off the ground, placing them in a woven basket within her hands.

"Taka, I'm so sorry," you said quickly, standing up fully and gazing up at your newlywed husband with wide eyes. "Your mom brought your sisters over while you were at work and I said I could handle them on my own, but they went to bed later than I thought they would so I had no time to clean the apartment. "

As you rambled on, continuing your various cleaning of the living room, Takashi couldn't help but grin at you. The sight of you rambling and explaining your day, wearing one of his old shirt and boxers, hair a mess and makeup gone made his heart swell. He had never really understood the idea of falling in love all over again, but as he saw you now, he understood it completetly.

"And now I'm like, crazy hungry, because I didn't have time to make us dinner. So I was thinking we just make some mac and cheese and have our own little dinner together. How does that-" You halted your rambling when you noticed Takashi gazing at you with a wide and fond smile on his face. You furrowed your brows at him, a look of confusion crossing your features, which only appeared to make Takashi's smile grow wider. "Why're you staring at me like that?"

"You've never looked more beautiful," Takashi stated softly, dropping his bag beside the front door and approaching you.

You let out a light scoff at the compliment, but couldn't help the flush of your cheeks. "Our wedding day? Nah, nothing compared to the messy look of your wife in boxers and with bags under her eyes," you said sarcastically, letting your arms drape lazily over his shoulders as he tugged you towards him by the waist.

"What can I say? You always look beautiful," he shrugged, nuzzling his face tiredly into your neck. "You look especially adorable in my clothes." You chuckled and watched as he bent down, picking up a few of the toys.

"You're in a good mood," you giggle at him, watching as he cleans the living room.

"I'm always in a good mood when I'm around you," he said, looking over his shoulder at you with a gentle smile on his face. You tilted your head at him as he gazes at you with that content expression. "I could stare at you all day."

"You spoil me," you scoffed, wacking him lightly with a stuffed animal.

"I would argue, you deserve to be spoiled," Takashi chuckled, standing up and pressing a kiss to your cheek.

You rolled your eyes at him but leaned forward, inching closer to his lips.

Just before you met in the middle, a small voice called out.

"Y/n?"

You both turned to see Mana standing in the doorway, eyes obviously heavy with sleep and a small stuffed fox from your childhood in her arms.

"Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" you said softly, kneeling in front of the eight year old.

"I got scared," Mana stated, looking up at you with wide eyes. She looked around you to see her older brother. "Can you come stay with me and Luna?"

"Yeah, I'll be right there-"

"No, Y/n." Mana pouted up at her older brother, quick to cut him off, much to his surprise. "I want Y/n."

Takashi looked at you with an apologetic look. "Mana, Y/n's been taking care of you all night," he said softly, approaching his sister slowly. "I'll put you to bed. Let her rest."

Mana's tired lip jutted out before she began to open her mouth in protest.

"I can do it," you said softly, taking the girl's hand. Takashi frowned slightly as his sister's eyes lit up. "I'll be back when she falls asleep," you said, allowing the pink haired child to drag you back to the guest bedroom where she and her sister were sleeping. "Why can't you sleep?" you asked the younger of the two as you helped her climb into bed with her sister, who was conveniently sleeping soundly.

"I don't like the dark," she stated gently, shifting under the covers. "I think the grim reaper is gonna come and reap my soul."

You blinked in surprise at the girl's fear, mentally reminding yourself to scold Takashi for allowing his sisters to indulge in such media. "Well, I happen to know an excellent song to scare away the reaper and protect your soul," you said, kneeling beside the bed to look at the girl.

"You're lying," she said, narrowing her eyes at you.

"Wanna bet?" you whispered softly. "I'll sing you to sleep and if you wake up with your soul intact you know it works."

Mana hesitated for a moment, narrowing her eyes at you before nodding.

You smiled at her before beginning to sing softly. You index finger began to gently stroke her nose, starting from her forehead to the tip of her nose slowly. A trick you had learned working with other children. As you sang and gently stroked her nose, her eyes began to flutter closed.

When you heard her gentle snores and even breathing, you took that as your sign to stand and creep out of the bedroom.

As you entered the living room, you were met with the soft snores of your husband. You smiled softly at the sight of him sleeping on the couch, limbs sprawled out lazily, and a bit of drool slipping from the corner of his lips. You quietly approached him, kneeling beside his head beside the couch.

"Taka," you whispered, bringing your knuckles up to brush against his cheekbone gently. "Taka."

Takashi stirred slightly, letting out a small groan as his hand came up to hold your own. "Hi," he said tiredly, his eyes opening in a thin eyed squint as he looked at you. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah," you said softly, brushing your thumb over his knuckles with a smile. "Taka?"

"Yeah, Y/n/n?" he hummed, forcing his eyes to stay open as he shifted to face you.

"Let's have a baby."

That woke Takashi up real quick. You stumbled back at how quickly he sat up, a massive grin spreading across his face. "What?"

"Let's have a baby," you repeated with a grin of your own. "I wanna have a family with you, Taka."

"You have no idea how happy that makes me," Takashi grinned, pulling you against him. It was an odd angle but he needed to feel you close to him. "Let's do it right now. The girls are asleep?"

Your eyes went wide as you nodded. He quickly scooped you into his arms and began to carry you towards your bedroom, his lips never leaving your neck. "I'm going to fill you up so well, princess."

I went a little off-track, mb 😭

- He didn’t really have any interest in girls, until him and Emma were just going back and forth with insults and she said that he gets no girls. It made him stop and actually think. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d liked a girl or a girl liked him back.

- So naturally he decided to give the whole relationship thing a go. The only problem was to find someone willing to be his girlfriend.

- He went to school to try and find a girl who might like him, he didn’t have any specific girl he liked so he was open to anyone. You sat next him in a couple of classes, but since he never never came, he didn’t know. You guys got to talking and he quickly found himself enjoying your little daily talks!

- It progressed and it wasn’t until Draken noticed him getting visibly happy whenever someone mentioned your name that he liked you. Mikey honestly didn’t think it was a big deal until Mitsuya pointed out that you might only see him as a friend. That’s when he got a little panicked.

- This was the first (and would be the only) time he’d ever liked a girl. We all know if you’re friends with Mikey that it will last literal TIMELINES because he’s incredibly loyal and expects others to be as well. That’s why he expected your guys’ current friendship to last that long too.

- He realized that confessing could ruin that if you didn’t like him back and if you did you two could end up breaking up since he didn’t know much about relationships anyway.

- So for a couple of months he just lived with his giant crush on you.

- I don’t think he’d be scared of introducing you to Toman since he knows he’s literally ‘The Invincible Mikey’ (or was it unbeatable I can’t remember). He could just protect you if anything were to happen! And he expected every Toman member to do the same.

- Everyone in Toman knows Mikey likes you. In fact, you seem to be the only one who hasn’t noticed.

- When Takemichi found out that Mikey liked you, he was ready to help his friend out. So he gave Mikey advice that he got from Hina. He told Mikey to be a gentleman and to be straight up with his feelings.

- You and Emma happened to be good friends and you’d even been to her house a couple times. You’d never met Mikey there though, you only knew that Emma had a brother and a grandpa. But you’d met her Grandpa and he was a nice old man.

- Mikey happened to be home but he ignored the fact Emma had someone over since he didn’t know any of them. But then he went into Emma’s room to tell her something and he froze when you’d said hi to him.

- HOW WERE YOU IN HIS HOUSE? IN HIS SISTER’S ROOM? WHEN DID YOU GUYS EVEN MEET?-

- Emma was surprised that you and Mikey knew each other, but brushed it off since she didn’t have to introduce Mikey.

- But then Mikey was visibly getting happy when talking to you, and Emma could swear she saw him blushing..

- That’s how Emma found out he had a massive crush on you, and she was a little mad because you and her had been friends longer than you’d known Mikey. She was sure that her brother’s feelings weren’t genuine. She didn’t want Mikey to ever confess, in case the relationship didn’t work out and you stopped being friends with her because it was awkward.

- But when she noticed his feelings were actually genuine she was hell-bent on getting him to confess.

- So he finally relented. But before he did anything, he begged Emma to ask you if you liked him, even just a bit.

- So she called you the next day and asked. You didn’t want to tell Emma that you liked her BROTHER so you avoided the question. But then she said she didn’t mind if you liked her brother and that she would be your wingwoman if you did. That’s when you finally confessed to her that you’d liked Mikey for a couple weeks now.

- She had to cover Mikey’s mouth to stop him from confessing right then and there over the phone.

- So after he found out he was happy but a little confused. Why would you like him of all people? But on the surface he was telling his friends things like “Of course she likes me, I’m the strongest!” (it’s giving gojo)

- Planned a wholeeeee thing to ‘indirectly’ confess to you. He didn’t want to do all the work in your guys’ obvious upcoming relationship. So Draken and Mitsuya planned something to help. (Mikey just sat there eating dorayaki and rambling on ab all the cute things he wants to do once you inevitably become his gf)

- The plan was that Emma would ask you to walk home with her, so then after school you’d wait until she came out to go. But Emma would take a while to leave you waiting. Then a short distance away from you, Mikey would talk to his friends with a loud ass voice. Then he’d be all like “Yeah, Y/N is really pretty, I would love to go out with her.”

- And then you’d be all like “omg!!! mikey, you’re the love of my life!!! <3”

- But he happened to be daydreaming the last part.. Although, his plan was bound to elicit SOMETHING!

- Little did they know Emma was a double agent and had told you her brother loves you and that you should confess. At first, you would’ve been like ‘no way!’. But Emma spent ages convincing you and managed to get you to do it on the same day Mikey was supposed to.

- So on the day he was going to indirectly confess, Emma got you to go outside right after school and ask to speak with him privately.

- He was caught a little off guard but went w/ you.

- To cut this short you guys kissed and are a couple now, yay!

- Now onto the actual relationship headcannons, I’m sorry the bit before was a lot longer than I expected 😭

- His friends gag whenever you guys kiss near them.

- “Jeez, get a room!”

- “Stop swapping spit and pay attention, Mikey you dumbass!”

- “It looks like he’s eating her, wtf??”

- “Y/N, are you okay?!! My brother is disgusting!!”

- guess who says each of those lol

- Will lick your cheek but gets shocked if you do it back.

- You’re the only person he shares his snacks with, and even then you barely get any 😔

- He loves taking you out on late-night motorcycle rides where you scream because he’s going way too fast.

- He doesn’t wear a helmet, but expects you to wear one for your safety.

- “Aren’t you gonna wear a helmet, Manjiro?”

- “Nope, I’m good.”

- Likes it when you call him by his actual name, since it’s been a while since anyone has. (he acts like he doesn’t tell everyone to call him mikey)

- One time, you wanted to have a cute date where you two read books w/ each other but he ended up falling asleep 10 minutes in.

- Took you out to eat after though, partly bc he gets hungry after waking up.

- But right after he ate, he fell asleep again and you had to call Draken to come help you lift Mikey 😭😭

- His sleeping and then eating thing is a vicious cycle

- Draken sees you as a sister, and if anyone were to be his wingwoman or wingman with Emma it would be you.

- You edge along their relationship by saying things to them like

- “Emma, Draken was asking about you!”

- “Guess what, Draken? Emma asked about you!”

- Mikey gets huffy though.

- Likes when you kiss him w/ lipstick on because it leaves a stain on his lips.

- You did face masks with him once and put cucumbers over his eyes but then he ate them 😒

- Loves eating things with you. Mf will show up at your door with bags of food from some new restaurant he found asking to try it with you.

- The first time you baked smth for him, he didn’t leave your side for a week.

- He’s actually very sweet when he wants to be, but it’s only when you two are alone. He likes to hold your hand whilst you’re watching something or reading. It makes him comfortable.

- You probably have to do his hair in the morning like Draken does 😭😭

- Draken appreciates it tho

- Even though Toman knows about you, you wouldn’t have to worry about other gangs getting to you because Mikey simply won’t let it happen. He’s already taken care of that by having Sanzu watch you as well! :)

- Sanzu did NOT like you at first but he grew to tolerate you then after a while he sort of liked you.

- When you and Mikey were first dating, he probably gave you the nastiest stink eyes. He also tripped you up once but no one suspected him..

- He’s very loyal, I don’t see him cheating or breaking up with you. Especially because he really loves you and can’t imagine his life without you now.

- Blanket hogger. Will literally tear it off of you whilst he’s sleeping and lay down on top of it. (sometimes he fakes being asleep to do this to you bc he likes pissing you off 😭😭)

- If you guys have an argument, I don’t think he’s the type of guy to say ‘sorry’ but he’ll do things to show you he’s sorry. He’ll you your favorite food, buys you a plushie or just hug you quietly.

- He will only say sorry if it was a serious argument, and if he was really in the wrong. But luckily you guys don’t really argue. Anytime Mikey feels an argument coming on, he’ll discreetly diffuse it by catching you off-guard with a kiss or something. (i can’t tell if that’s a little toxic or not)

Part I of Who The Fuck Really Knows

Manjiro ‘Mikey’ Sano

He’s a weird one so he is absolutely overjoyed to find you’re generally lacking in enthusiasm, even in the face of what appears to be great danger.

See, it was raining and Mikey was speeding on his bike and cut a corner insanely fast without slowing down at all, eyes widening as his headlights spotted you suddenly in the darkness. He maneuvers past you in the nick of time but manages to flip his bike – luckily there wasn’t any serious damage, just some scratches here and there, to him and the bike.

“You alright?” suddenly you were kneeling over his blinking form but he’s still deciphering in his mind what happened. He sits up with ease and glances over your form to make sure you were okay. To his surprise, you blinked back at him, face devoid of any trace of panic or worry. He leaned in a bit.

“I’m alright…you weren’t scared?” You glance at the ground for a bit, humming to yourself.

“…Yea, kind of.”

“Kind of?” He parrots before bursting out in laughter, doubling over. You wait patiently for him to finish and he smiles at you.

“What’s funny?”

“You! I like you, what’s your name?”

He’s hooked on you like a drug from then on, incredibly entertained by your presence. No one quite understands the connection, not even Draken, but they accept it nonetheless.

He develops significant feelings pretty early on but he doesn’t really realize those feelings until his entire mood sours at the sight of some rando from Division 2 flirting with you. His brow furrows, his eyes narrow, and his jaw tightens.

He saunters over, hands in his pockets with a dangerous smile playing on his lips, calling out the squad member’s entire name to get their attention. They glance over before standing in attention for Mikey, who grants the boy a close-eyed smile this time.

“Beat it.”

You had never seen anyone take off so fast and you and Mikey watch until he’s out of sight. He turns to you with one of his genuine smiles, excited again but you raise a brow.

“Is something wrong, Mikey? You feeling okay?”

“I am now.” He grabs you hand and tugs gently, grin widening at your blushing face, “C’mon, let’s go get ice cream!”

“Isn’t it still Winter?”

“I don’t see your point, (Name).”

Ken ‘Draken’ Ryuguji

Does he think it’s weird? Maybe a little.

Does it stop him from being a gentleman? Absolutely not.

He met you in Primary School. You were drawing food in the sand with a stick and what he assumed was a bored expression. He had nothing better to do honestly, so he approached you, hand on his hip.

“Hey.” You looked up, blinking with a nod.

“Hey.” You kept eye contact for moment longer then returned your gaze to the ground. His sweat-dropped.

“Uh…what are you doing?” he tried again.

“Drawing eggs to go with the bacon.”

“Uh-huh…” Another moment went by. “Are you lonely or something?” You shook your head immediately.

“Um-,” he found himself blushing a bit, “Thanks, I guess?”

And you were friends from then on.

You had many girls try and fail to bully you throughout the years he noticed, but you never really responded how they expected, ultimately scaring them off. It was kind of impressive honestly, he’d never seen someone get scared off by well…complete disregard. Well, that some stupid rumor that you were some kind of witch.

He’d gotten to know you pretty well though, noticing the subtle changes in your nearly absent mood gradually over the years. He inserted the quarter into the machine, grabbing a Strawberry milk for himself and your signature coffee. Making his way over to the bench, he handed you the beverage before flopping back into his seat beside you, arms slung over the back of it as he peered at you fidgeting fingers.

“Tell me what’s bugging you, (Name). Doesn’t do you any good to hide it, you know that.”

You gripped your drink tighter, eyes burning and threatening to spill fresh tears.

Knows you have a hard time not only expressing your emotions but feeling them in what society feels is a “normal capacity” – and couldn’t give a shit about what everyone else had to say about it. You were his dear friend, more than that honestly, but he hadn’t exactly gotten around to confessing-

He’d be lying if he said his nerves didn’t play a part, but he wasn’t scared really. More like…he didn’t want to ruin the dynamic if you didn’t feel the same way. He’d be there for you regardless but the last thing he wanted to do was scare you off or make things awkward.

It didn’t exactly help that you were in the same class as him, just a few seats away.

You had gotten acquainted through cleaning duty of all things, him being placed on it for being tardy, you being placed on duty because you’d forgotten you homework assignment at home. It was a weeklong punishment but honestly, he wished it had been longer.

“Kinda sucks we got this gig, huh?” he started with a smile, you blinked over with a shrug.

“Not really. I kind of like cleaning.” He glances back a forth from the desk to your face. You almost sounded sarcastic but he had a feeling you meant what you said, that the tone he registered was just your normal speaking voice.

“Oh yeah? There a reason for that?” He attempted to gauge your reaction to him making conversation and as far as he could tell, you didn’t seem to mind. You nodded.

“My family… isn’t home very often. Doesn’t take that long to do homework, so…I cook and clean a lot. Reading is fun too. Like an escape...” He stopped his movements completely and gave you a sincere look.

“I’m sorry.” You shook your head this time.

“No, it’s alright. I know you didn’t mean to offend. It’s just life, ya know?” You granted him a rare, soft smile - the first one he’d seen from you all semester. Honestly it made his heart skip a beat just to see it, determined from then on to try and make you smile more often. And he’d done a pretty decent job of that he thought.

Sighing, gathering his courage and his keys, he made his way out the front door. He gripped his phone in his pocket before slipping it out and dialing.

“Hey (Name), you busy? I know it’s getting late but would you mind meeting me outside your apartment building? There’s…something I feel you should know.”

Draken stopped his movements on his bike, lowering the tool he had in his hand and getting up to sit by your side.

A giggle escapes your lips. "Well, i would love you too if you were a worm. You'd be one of those cute fluffy ones." You realize.

"Aww. We could go on worm dates, squiggling through the leaves. Settling down and having worm babies." Emma starts trailling off, in her little worm fantasy.

You blink a few times. "Ok, that's enough."

"Hinaaaaaaaa." You call out, to your girlfriend sitting on the other side of the couch.

"Yeah?" She responds, tilting her head with a small smile.

You lay down in the grass while Mikey kills the engine of his bike behind you. Flipping open your phone you gaze lazily at the bright light, trying to adjust to the screen at least enough to see the time.

1:04 A.M. January 1st, 2006.

You close your phone with a click and shove it into the top of your kimono. The New Year's festival had ended an hour ago. Everyone had gone home, Draken offering to take Emma home, so Mikey could drive around with you. Emma happily agreed.

Rubbing your eyes, Mikey slumps down in the grass next to you with a thud. You roll onto your side to face him.

He lays on his back staring at the star dotted sky. He rubs his hands together. "Shit."

Raising an eyebrow you prop your chin in your hand, pushing yourself off the ground with your elbow. "What's up?"

"It's cold." He pulls his own kimono up slightly to cover his exposed collarbone.

"Oh." You chuckle. "I told you. We should've went home."

Mikey shakes his head and crosses his arms over his chest. He doesn't say anything else. You sigh and drop your elbow, folding your arms on the grass to rest you face against.

It's quiet for a few moments. Just you staring at Mikey as he stares at the sky. Picking at a blade of grass you finally break the silence.

"What do you think this years going to be like?" You ask.

Mikey hums and thinks for a moment. He shrugs. "Probably the same as every other year." He turns onto his side to face you. "There's not really a lot we can do right now. As kids. Maybe the year after us and the gang graduate, there'll be more things to do."

"Wait," you sit up quickly. Mikey gazes up at you, confused. "You were planning on finishing school?" You tease in an overdramatic and sarcastic tone.

Mikey rolls his eyes and pushes you back down by your shoulder. "Shut up, (Y/N)."

You chuckle. Even though he wasn't wrong, it still felt weird to refer to yourself as kids. After everything that's happened in the past year, all the fights and deaths, you forgot that you, Mikey and the whole gang were still just kids.

A small sigh falls from Mikey's lips as you settle back into place. As you two sit there in comfortable silence, you begin to feel your eyelids growing heavy.

Lacing your fingers through his you begin playing with his finger tips, tracing along each detail of his calloused hand. "How about in twelve years or something then?" You blurt out suddenly.

Your voice was drowsy and soft as you fought the urge to fall asleep. Mikey chuckled. "Don't know. Like jobs?"

You shrug.

"Maybe like a mechanic or a motorcycle racer- I don't know?" He says. "I think it's easier to think about other people's futures."

You raise a brow and glance at him through your lashes. "What do you mean?"

"Like Takemitchy and Hinata," he starts. "They're gonna get married, Kenny and Emma too."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah. Kenny and Emma are gonna have a kid too, they're gonna name it Manjiro Jr." He says jokingly.

You scoff. "They are not." Surprisingly, Mikey doesn't argue back, letting the silence take over again. The wind howls and you shudder against the cold. A yawn escapes you before speaking up again. "Is that something you want?"

Mikey raises an eyebrow. "Is what?"

Suddenly nervous you drop his hand and your gaze to the grass. Picking at the earth you swallow, your face growing hot. "A kid."

He doesn't respond and you can't tell what he's thinking, too distracted by your own heartbeat pounding in your ears.

"Obviously not now- y'know!"

Mikey chuckles nervously and sucks in a breath. "I would hope not." He wraps an arm around your waist to pull you closer to him, pushing your face into his chest. "How about we just worry about this year?"

You nod against him. "Okay."

And then once again it was silent. The wind brushed against you two but you found warmth in each other's bodies. You take a long blink, your eyelids drooping lazily.

"Oh.. hey," you start before yawning. "We didn't have our New Year's kiss yet."

Mikey hums. At first it didn't seem like he was going to do or say anything, but before you could follow up your observation he brings a cold hand to your face, cupping your cheek before leaning in and placing his lips against yours. His lips were chapped from the cold and you could still taste whatever candy he had been eating at the festival. Somewhere in the distance fireworks boomed and crackled.

When you pull away you roll away and flop onto your back with a satisfied sigh. Allowing your eyes to flutter shut. You hear the movement of Mikey as he scoots closer to you.

"You can go to sleep," a hand brushes against your face and you shiver.

"I'll be here when you wake up."

for months now, you and draken have been "seeing eachother". it's hard to explain. he's been taking you on all these cute dates, you've been flirting with one another, the two of you hold hands in public without even realizing it, and your friends have all assumed you're dating, which has made you start thinking,

"what are we?"

neither you or draken have asked eachother this, nothing has been made official, and frankly, you're afraid to ask. it seems like a dumb question, but could you really be blamed for asking it? you didn't know, and you aren't quite sure he knows either.

with encouragement from emma and hina, bless their hearts, you go ahead and pick up your phone. reluctantly, you dial his number, before hitting the big green button, you look up at your friends, whom both give you a nod and thumbs up. you shake off your worries, and call draken.

the phone rings for what feels like eternity, making your foot tap impatiently. suddenly, you hear a, "hello?" you nearly hang up right there. the whole pep talk you'd just gotten seems to of went right out the window, and you start to shake. "hi."

"what's up?" you realize how late it is, checking the clock on your nightstand. it's 12 am.

"i didn't wake you up, did i?"

"i was just 'bout to go to sleep, but don't worry about it."

"cool, cool."

silence.

"so.. why'd you call?" draken sounds confused, usually something like this would irritate him, like, if mikey had called him this late and just stayed quiet he'd be pretty ticked off, but he has a godly amount of patience when it comes to you.

"i wanted to ask you something."

he stays quiet.

"what- uh... what are we?"

more silence.

"ain't it obvious?" you freeze. seemingly. you turn a very deep red, because emma starts to giggle into hinas shoulder.

"what do you mean?" you can't help but laugh nervously, filled with anxiety. what does he mean? is he saying that in a "we're nothing more than friends, obviously!" kind of way or in a "obviously we're together!" way? it's hard to read his tone, that's right in between sounding playful and confused.

"tell me, what do you want us to be?"

oh, he wants you dead. that's basically impossible to say out loud with your two snickering best friends in front of you. you point to your door, mouthing "get out." at the two girls, resulting in hina scurrying out, dragging a whiny, nosy emma out with her.

"i- uh. i guess i was hoping we could be. y'know."

"no, n/n, i don't know."

you sigh, pouting dramatically. "y'know.. official. girlfriend 'nd boyfriend." you nearly throw up in your mouth out of sheer embarrassment, but you were proud of yourself for finally getting that out after questioning your relationship nonstop for the past week.

"hmm.. i suppose that could work."

"you suppose?!" he laughs, making you smile.

"i'm just kiddin', y/n. i'd love to make things official."

like a teen girl in one of those corny movies you watch, you fall on your back and kick your feet out of excitement. it almost felt like a dream come true, you've finally made it to the next base after months of build up.

"great."

"see you tomorrow?"

"sounds great."

"bye."

the phone is still snug against your ear as you squeal in excitement, the que for the girls to run back in and bask in the excitement with you.

Emma Sano is the type to think of you whenever she’s out with the other girls as they shop, go to a cafe, etc. if she sees something she thinks you might like, or it reminds her of you, she’ll take a look at it and possibly buy it

Mikey Sano is the type to be picky on what he eats unless it’s his favorite, however if you made him something then he’d be over the moon happy and eat every last crumb, no matter how good or bad it tastes

Naoto Tachibana is the type to hate physical contact and touching anything remotely dirty, however he makes an exception specifically for you, allowing you to hug him and hold his hand without needing to spray you down with disinfectant first

Ken 'Draken' Ryuguji is the type to buy you a single flower before he comes home from anywhere, it can be a rose or a tulip, he doesn’t know much about flowers but the nice old lady he buys them from helps him choose

Keisuke Baji is the type to be protective of his hair, not letting anyone touch it, no matter how close I’d friends they are, however he would let you touch or play with his hair in a heartbeat if you asked

Takashi Mitsuya is the type to unconsciously make his practice/demo clothes in your size so you can try them on, he usually makes them in whatever size he thinks would fit a mannequin he has but he’s started to make them in your size so you can model them for him

Nahoya 'Smiley' Kawata is the type to be passive aggressive and a bit rude/blunt to literally everyone that he meets, however when around you hes more sweet and sugar coats his words a bit to lessen the blow of some bad news, he doesn’t want to unintentionally hurt your feelings

Souya 'Angry' Kawata is the type to be a bit loud and rude like his brother to protect himself, hiding his real self however when we around you this facade cracks a bit and he becomes more quiet and shy, he’s sweet and likes to just sit with you

Chifuyu Matsuno is the type to hide the fact that he likes soft and cute things cause he wants to be seen as ‘manly’ and strong and not ‘weak’ however he can’t help but fawn over the cutesy things when around you as you two look at photos/videos or passing by a shop making him a bit embarrassed

- SIMP. You’ve probably heard it 100 times, so let me be the 101st, he is a SIMP.

- Has your picture as his lock screen and Home Screen, has a polaroid of you two in the back of his CLEAR phone case, another polaroid in his wallet and a framed picture of the two of you in his shop.

- Looks at you with love-hearts in his eyes whenever you’re talking. It could be about the economical state of the world and he’d still listen intently just because you’re the one saying it.

- Everyone says he doesn’t have any skills with girls, which is true, but he is genuine and that’s already better than the majority of men.

- Will hug and kiss you in front of his friends because he literally does not care what they think. They’ll all probably groan and tell him it’s gross.

- Has accidentally blown a puff of smoke in your face from a cigarette and when you started to cough he panicked. Got you a cute teddy bear to say sorry though.

- Has your skincare and makeup routine memorized, and products. This man knows your shade and the brand you use for foundation and concealer. Always stocks it up for you when he sees you’re running low. Loves to watch you apply skincare and makeup and will get flustered if you ask him to put it on for you.

- Is always so gentle with you. He hasn’t hurt you, and won’t ever. Not even accidentally. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him!

- Benkei and Takeomi give him bad girl advice. Wakasa knows better but he’s never around when the other two give Shinichiro advice… When he tries it with you, he gets genuinely shocked when you tell him you don’t like whatever he tried.

- One time, he asked you if you were on your period because you were mad at him, and when you asked him why the hell he would ask that, he replied “Takeomi told me that you’d think I was attentive and knowledgeable about women’s hormones if I asked you!!”

- They’re probably the reason he doesn’t get girls tbh

- But he has you, he doesn’t need anyone else.

- He does get jealous super easily. He doesn’t even know how he pulled you in the first place, but he WON’T lose you.

- Has and will use his connections from the Black Dragons to beat anyone who tries to get with you. He’s not going to get his hands dirty (probably because he doesn’t know how to) if he has people to do it for him.

- Celebrates every little milestone in your relationship. Expects you to remember as well. Like, what do you mean you forgot this is the anniversary of the first time he fed you?!

- Dreams of a nice, domestic life with you in the future whenever he sees you with Emma and Mikey. He wants 4 kids and a nice house by his grandpa’s dojo.

- Mikey and Emma LOVE you. You’re their big sister now! Especially Emma. It’s hard for her in an all male household, so you’re her rock when it comes to things her brothers and grandpa don’t understand.

- Emma loves to do girl things with you, like face-masks, doing nails and gossiping about boys you guys like. Although it’s only really Emma who talks about boys she likes, since she’ll get grossed out if you talk about Shinichiro in a romantic manner. That’s her stupid, goofy older brother after all..

- Mikey is constantly asking you if Shinichiro is paying you to pretend to be his girlfriend because you’re wayyyyy out of his league! Shinichiro is a bland 4 and you’re a 10!!

- Mikey and Emma definitely crash your guys’ dates sometimes. Especially if you guys are going on a picnic or to the mall.

- Grandpa Sano likes you as well, you’re keeping Shinichiro from getting into trouble and being a goof. Although, most of that is just how he is.

- Mikey definitely introduces you to Draken as his big sister. And Draken probably sees you as his big sister too, you guys probably do have cute moments.

- One time, you saw Draken sat on a bench on his own and you took him to the convenience store and got him candy to cheer him up and talk about why he was looking down. Mikey joined you guys half-way through with a bag of dorayaki (no, he did not share).

- All in all, you guys are a cute ass couple and the kids all look up to you two.

Yandere Draken and Emma who were enjoying a nice date together before being rudely interrupted by fishing nets being thrown at them by a boat that the both didn’t know was even there.

Yandere Draken and Emma who then were held captive and soon later thrown into a large tank big enough for them both to swim around and hide when the strange humans with white cloaks and a clipboard would come by and stare at them before quickly writing down something on their clipboard.

Yandere Draken and Emma who hated how the humans would treat them. Taking either one away from each other to run tests or experiments whenever they felt like it. How some humans didn’t even bother to be gentle with them when handling them. They hated every single second with these weird humans.

Yandere Draken who would comfort yandere Emma who would cry and whine about how much she misses her home. Her friends and family. How these mean humans scare her and that she wants to leave. All Draken could do is stroke his fingers through her hair and whisper sweet nothings into her ear.

Yandere Draken who would protect Emma from the humans when they would try to take her away from him. He would hiss and show his razor sharp teeth to try to scare those humans away. His arm wrapped tightly around her waist as he drags her down to there little home that they made.

Yandere Draken and Emma who soon later got use to their new life. They now know when they were going to be fed, when they are going to be taken away for test, experiments, etc. They also now know some of the humans names. They don’t really like the man with blonde hair and glasses. He’s super harsh towards them, especially towards Emma.

Yandere Draken and Emma who were doing what they usually do on a boring day. Play around. The two chased each other around in their large tank, not paying any mind to anyone outside. As the both of them messed around, you watched with a small smile at the two merfolk who seemed to be having a fun time with each other. Your boss assigned you to the both of them. Claiming that you we’re finally ready to work and be assigned to merfolk’s.

You of course, was thrilled to work with these two merfolk. You heard a lot about them by some of the workers here. How close and protective they are of each other. How strong and fast they are. And not to mention how good looking the two of them are.

When the two finally decided to take rest after hours of playing around, they finally notice you sitting down on a chair with a book in hand. Emma was the first one to swim a bit closer to you, trying to see what you look like since she’s never seen you before.

The moment you finally decided to look up, you were met with honey eyes looking straight at you. You flinched a bit before breaking out into a smile and waving at the mermaid. She backs up quickly. Not expecting you to wave let alone smile at her! It took her a minute, before waving back timidly. Draken swims up to the two of you. Growing curious about the new human.

“Draken! Look isn’t she pretty!” Emma excitedly tells him. He looks at Emma before looking at you and nodding.

“She is”

“She waved at me! Waved! And also smiled! No one has ever been that nice when they first encounter us!” Draken smiles as he listens to Emma ramble about how you were about to become her favorite new human already.

Your face grew confused as the two talk. Not being able to understand because of the thick glass.

Once she finished talking to the merman, she turns around to face you and has her hands pressed up against the glass before excitedly talking to you.

Unfortunately you weren’t able to hear anything because of the glass. You could see that the merman also knew that as he chuckles at the rambling mermaid.

A month has passed since the three of you met. And I got to say, the two merfolks really like you a lot. They like how kind and gentle you are. How you glare or snap at your coworkers who make fun of or treat them like shit.

Emma liked how you gave her extra food than she needed when no one was looking. She liked how you would softly brush her hair and braid it with some nice pearls and shells that you would bring.

She felt like she was back home every time you would bring back something from the beach.

You would also reassure draken that emma would be okay when they would take her away. Telling him that you wouldn’t let any of them hurt her in any way. And he was grateful for that. Even though there was a language barrier between you three, he still understood the gestures and the tone of your voice when reassuring him.

You would make sure that he was alright and that he felt well. You would always make sure that their water was good and clean because some of your coworkers could care less about their living environment.

You always took such great care of them.

Which lead the both of them start growing some very questionable feelings for you.

It started off slow. Emma being a little more clingy then usual. Her trying to get you to stay with them a little more longer when you had mountains of work to do. Her pouting and glaring at anyone who would get to close to you for her liking.

And then there’s Draken. He started being a little more protective of you. Making sure that you have eaten and that no one was hurting or bothering you. He would sometimes hiss and show off his razor sharp teeth at anyone who he thinks is a threat when they would get close to you.

You at first didn’t really mind until their behavior towards you and your coworkers started growing a little more concerning.

It then started getting worse. They would both claw and bite at anyone who would even be close or even TOUCH you. You could be sitting near the tank, hand in the water trying to make sure it’s the right temperature for them and a coworker or friend of yours could come by and check up on you to see if everything is going alright and even pat you on the shoulder before Draken immediately comes up from the water and scratches off that person’s hand off you.

Or you could be braiding emma’s hair like usual during your lunch break and as she lets out soft sighs as she enjoys the feeling of your hands running through her hair before immediately glaring and hissing at your poor friend who just wanted to ask what you wanted for lunch.

You started growing concern.

So you decided to distance yourself a bit from them for the time being. Maybe they’ll go back to normal after not seeing or interacting with you for a few days. Right?

Wrong

Absolutely wrong

The moment you didn’t show up to work the next day, all hell broke lose.

The both of them would absolutely REFUSE to let anyone other than you near them. They would claw, bite and scratch anyone who dares to touch either one of them. Refusing to do anything unless YOU are the one to do it.

The workers can see through the glass tank and cameras how the two merfolks desperately look around for you. They can hear them let out loud clicks and chirps of desperation and distress as they look everywhere for you.

And if their ears weren’t failing them. They swear they hear the words “mate”coming from the two merfolks.

They seemed to turn more aggressive the longer you were gone. It gotten so bad to the point that your boss calls you and pleads you to come back. That they have gotten very out of control and that your the only one who can help and calm them down.

You got so many calls that you decided that it was time to go back after a VERY short break.

You came back the next day. The sounds of your heels clicking through the halls was enough to let everyone let out a sigh of relief. Happy that your back to take care of your “mates”.

You raised a brow when someone told you that. Confused, because what do they mean by “mates”?

You walk up to your boss who looks rather relieved that your back.

He quickly tells you that he’s happy to have you back before rushing you to emma and draken.

“T-they seem to not be doing so well! Please just go in and calm down your pets”

“They’re not pets!-“ And he shoves you into the room. You huff before walking near the railing where it’s close to the top of the tank. You walk down the little stairs before kneeling down and calling out their names.

“Emma? Draken? I’m here! I heard that you guys miss me!” But nothing. You stayed there for a few minutes before getting up and preparing to leave. But before you could walk away up the stairs, you felt a hand grab your ankle and pull you into the water. You let out a yelp before being met with the cold water.

You thrash around trying to get back up to the surface to breathe but the strong arms around your waist prevented you from doing so. You then felt a delicate pair of hands cup your cheeks before you felt someone’s lips touch your own. After they pulled away, you were able to breathe.

You gasp when you noticed that it was Emma. She looked delighted to see you again. You could hear her let out some clicks and chirps.

She was talking to you

Unfortunately, you couldn’t understand. The male behind you who you now know was Draken told her something before she looks at you sheepishly.

She then proceeds to say a word that made your eyes almost pop out of your sockets.

“You are mate”

What the fuck?!

Uhh I started writing this after remembering about a dream I had a few months ago about being taken and captured by mermaid emma and merman Draken🌝 THEY DID NOT LET ME GO😭
