You know what annoys me most about the entire Yagi and Inko bashing? Canonically EVERY adult has failed Izuku, every single one of them, (even Aizawa, especially Aizawa). However it's only Yagi and Inko who realized their own mistakes and tried to make amends and yet it's them who get most hated meanwhile Aizawa did fuck all for Izuku and yet the fandom treats him like a sagely perfect teacher because muhmuhm he expels kids to give them fear of death

genuinely tho me jumping right into reading volume 9 of trimax and then volume 10 (and then most of the rest of the manga) on the night before i had a presentation at 9:30 am (that was entirely not prepared) was literally one of the most unhinged decisions ive ever made

Lucifer was a little puzzled when he found you in your room. You were sleeping soundly, with a cozy blanked over and around you, and hugging one of your stuffed toys.

Your face however, showed some dark circles under your eyes, your brows furrowed, and your skin was rather pale. You looked very tired, even though you've been sleeping for more than ten hours.

He had to believe Mammon more now. It was the avatar of greed, after all, who said: "If ya don't believe me, then look for yourself! That human sleeps just as much as Belphie!"

It also didn't really help that you were not really a talkactive person as you rather kept to yourself, and the brothers didn't know you that good because of that.

Now, he sighed as he thought of a plausible reason as to why a human like you could even sleep that long without having to use the restroom or eat something.

Asmodeus stepped in because he needed some money from his sugar daddy oldest brother, and stumbled upon him examining you. The avatar of lust chuckled. "Oooohhh, does our little Lucifer have a feti- Ouch!", he yelped when Lucifer hit him with a rather hard pillow.

"Silent. I am thinking of a reason as to why MC is not awake yet. I mean, we don't know them very well, but still. I'm sure the normal human body can act just perfectly with just 8 hours of sleep."

Asmodeus rubbed his temple in pain as he thought as well. "Maybe they are doing some beauty sleep?"

Lucifer sighed. "I don't know...maybe? But let's have them sleep for a little longer before we wake them up."

...

Mammon grinned internally when Lucifer subtly apologized. Satan stepped into the kitchen where Mammon and Lucifer conversed. "Shouldn't MC be awake by now?", the blonde muttered, and Mammon looked at Lucifer.

"Yes, they should, but they are still asleep. I don't know why though."

Satan looked at the book he brought with him. "I don't know if this could be of use...but the book I'm currently reading tells something about some people who sleep in because of jet lag. It is when the sleep-rythm gets bothered when a person is in a jet, flying between continents and thus different time-zones, which messes up the rythm.", he explained and Lucifer made an "ah" sound in understanding.

Then he stepped into your room.

"...h-huh?", you grumbled as you stretched yourself. Lucifer stood before you, and he looked at you as you raised your arms. He had a concerned expression.

"Are you alright, MC?", he asked in a gentle tone, and you felt weird for some reason.

Lucifer was actually still a complete stranger, and it just...well, it made you feel weird, but you liked the feeling.

"Yes, I guess I just dozed off from swapping from the humanworld to Devildom.", you said softly, still a bit drunk from sleep, and the eldest brother nodded in understanding.

Just then, Leviathan stepped in with an excited grin as he pointed towards you. "I knew it! You're living the life of (insert a very long manga name which describes protag with jet lag)! ...I-I hope that you're okay though...", Levi muttered shyly when he felt Lucifer's stern glare on him.

It felt nice having people worry about you. You wish you could say the same to the people from your home...

"Thank you. I feel a lot better after my nap. I hope I didn't sleep too much?", you asked, as you yawned.

Lucifer looked at the watch on his hand. "You slept for nearly fourteen hours.", he stated, and your eyes widened.

"Whoah...", you chuckled with a concerned face, and Beel stepped in with some food. "I brought some snacks. I thought you might need it after nearly sleeping for more than half a day.", he murmured, and you thanked him with an excited grin.

"Really?! That's so nice of you! Thank you, Beel!", you exclaimed happily, and grinned even wider.

Beel gave you a close-eyed smile as he began eating a hamburger while you bit into a healthy salad. Leviathan ate some sushi while Lucifer dismissed you guys to attend to his duties.

'Living with you might be a little worrying, but at least you weren't loud...', Lucifer mused to himself as he thought about your behavior and lunged into his paperwork with a small smile.

❥ he tends to slowly trace different shapes and words on your back, which can sometimes lead to impromptu naps when you really aren’t supposed to be napping, (usually leads to the two of you waking up in a panic when nahoya bangs on the door asking why you still haven’t gone home yet).

❥ definitely mumbles random things in his sleep, which can be quite amusing to listen to.

“...th..ramen…(y/n)...” “huh? souya?” “...no, the…pepper…” “oh, okay.”

❥ absolutely adores whenever you play with his hair! he doesn’t care what you do with it whether you braid it, brush it, or just mess with it in general, he never wants you to stop. if you do stop, he won’t say anything, but he’ll have a bit of a frown and will put your hand back on his head in hopes that you’ll continue.

❥ on the same note, he also likes to play with your hair as well! he’s extremely gentle with it because he doesn’t want there to be any chance of hurting you, so he’s either smoothing his hand over your hair or lightly massaging your scalp, (he doesn’t have a reason behind this aside from the fact that you seem to enjoy it).

❥ it is a common occurrence for the two of you to be playing video games while cuddling! he’s specifically set up his ps2, gamecube and television in front of his bed, which makes for a perfect cuddling / gaming session! contrasting his usual little spoon position, he will actually sit you right between his legs and will tuck your head under his chin while the two of you play.

❥ your go-to games are mario party, mario kart, and animal crossing, (for when the two of you are tired and want to play a relaxing game). surprisingly, you guys never really use the ps2, most of the games you two play being nintendo!

❥ souya is very sweet, so the the most he will do when he is losing in a game is grumble under his breath and hold you a little bit tighter. he still enjoys every second of it though!

❥ in relation to this, the two of you will cuddle while doing almost any hobby such as this! it usually depends on your mood, but it can range from anything; gaming, reading manga, or eating snacks and watching a show.

❥ he makes sure to be stocking up on all your favorite snacks because of this!

❥ when the two of you are reading manga together, you usually have to read a little bit slower because souya likes to soak in all the little details and moments that happen. it ends up being useful whenever you get confused about what’s happening since he’s able to explain it to you perfectly!

Anime Maka vs Manga Maka

Is there anything more to say?

But nah, I know I will be accused of cherry picking, and yeah I know there are many manga moments that show Maka being more simmilar to the Anime Gif in demeanor, but I dunno, I think the point still stands:

I think it's another reason where the manga falters in my opinion, people dont often discuss it, but to me it just seems Maka is reduced to this weird "uwu kawaii" thing (lol dont even how to call it without ruffing too many feathers) - and people will try to respond "Well shenis cutesy in the anime too!" , and I think thats the point: cute vs "kawaii" - yeah its a weird way of describing it, but its the best dichothomie I can come up with - the first is not creepy, like seeing your kids find a new bug and excitedly showing it to you like its the biggest discovery in the world, get what I mean?

While "kawaii" is one reason why I dont really consider myselfs an "anime and manga fan" in general (yeah Im full of contradictions dont gotta tell me lol, but maybe thats why its post anime...not...)

Like you know what I mean - like these weird idol anime with overly glossy eyes and shroedingers "is it supposed to be cute and childish or sexualised* tone (maybe I'm spoiling to much the iceberg and my negative opinion of SE Not...)

Like its not even me trying to say "Oh I hate all cutesy stuff", nah I genuinely like the Maka Crona moments for that fact, but ,I atleast I hop,e there are different from the standard anime thing which has those creepy undertones like all these "uwu senpai wants to sleep in the same bed with me??!" like you know these scenes arent written for girls of the depicted ages but for and by 40 year old greassy guys with guilty consiousnesses...

But I dunno, even beyond my own paranoai of if a piece of media is supposed to appeal to a certain "demographic", I just think there is something lost in manga Maka, especially compared to her earlier charachterization and the animes continuation of it.

I think the last time where you really saw it in the manga was around the Arachne madness chapter where she confidently just stretched out her arm to Soul. Idk. People will probably think that I mean "wow, you want Maka to be some fearless badass!!?" and nah, I dunno, maybe Im just fighting phantoms, but I dunno I think there is something there, mayb even something my own stupid story failed to capture, but that what made the whole "bravery" thing at the end work.

But maybe the iceberg will explain it all...

“Ushiwaka, (L/N)! Good morning!” The brightly haired fellow basically yelled, a smile on his face as Semi looked semi-dead. Poor man must’ve not gotten enough sleep to deal with Tendō’s shit this early in the morning.

Wakatoshi acknowledged them with a simple ‘Morning,’ while (Y/N) let out an inaudible hum. He loved hanging with friends, but the cafeteria was always his least favorite place. The loud people, buzzing lights, and all around noises were too much for his brain to handle. The only reason he actually shows up is because he needs food, and Wakatoshi, who also needs food. He’d only been in there for close to twenty minutes and his brain was already feeling foggy. It was beginning to be too much.

(Y/N) listened to three different conversations; some girl talking about a bad break up, a group of friends talking about what to do for the upcoming weekend, something about murder, which is probably about a video game. Probably. The clashing sounds of lights and chatter were getting to his head, no longer able to listen to Tendō’s hyper-fixation ramble on his newest manga series. His breathing quickened, chest feeling cold as his head slightly twitched every which way.

Wakatoshi glanced over at (Y/N), noticing the spaced out look on his face and his subtle twitching. He linked their pinkies with a squeeze, a subtle question wondering if (Y/N) was fine. He quickly settled his gaze back onto his tray. He felt (Y/N) squeeze a couple times; a special thing they did together instead of saying words was tapping or squeezing whatever they held of the other. One for no, two for yes, and three for ‘I love you’. It was perfect communication between two non-sociable human beings.

(Y/N) felt better, knowing someone he trusts is with him. His chest felt warm as he thought about how much Wakatoshi cares about him. (Y/N) could make it to the end with him.

Wakatoshi finished his tray as well as (Y/N), deciding it was time to head back to their dorms and away from people. The two stood, waving goodbye at Tendō and Semi, and placed their trays in the respective area before they made their way back to whoever’s dorm popped up first, pinkies intertwined once again.

The walk was quiet, neither really speaking as they walked through the long hallway filled with different doors. Wakatoshi’s door eventually came up. The two settled inside, the morning sun dimly lighting up the room through Wakatoshi’s curtains. As soon as the door closed (Y/N) wrapped his arms around Wakatoshi, chest to back. His cheek coddled into Wakatoshi, instantly feeling better as Wakatoshi held his hands. The two didn’t talk as they embraced, gentle smiles on both of their faces as they relaxed into each others, and only each others, presence.

5. Currently reading: Nothing :( but i really want to start properly reading again, the last book i read was the night circus (i didnt liked it, nothing happened) and the manga dungeon meshi (as i am sure everyone following me noticed.

6. Currently watching: Nothing really, but a few months ago i decided to rewatch Steven Universe but didnt continued past season 1. So i guess technically i am still in the middle fo watching it.

Had a great chance to actually solve the problems of the world but he decided to go after petty criminals instead of actual bad guys shaking my head. The dead apple promotional sketch duo with Dazai and Chuuya. The way Dazai has his eyes closed and a smile on his face like he trusts Chuuya with the bandages swirling around his neck in a noose and then there is Chuuya, cocky and confident with Dazai's bandages making a heart around him.

Harukawa'a skk art. Double black fittinf together so perfectly despite their 4 year seperation. Dazai knows Chuuya's coat will get in the way so he grips it as it falls of Chuuya'w shoulder. Chuuya catching the bullets before they hit Dazai with his arm curled around the back of his head knowing that even even a touch from Dazai's hair to Chuuya's bare forearm could nullify tainted but so confident in their dynamic. Dazai's face, Chuuya's coat disintegrating and mixing with the background.

This 15 era panel from the manga. Just the way these two babies are looking back at each other. They look like childhood friends being seperated against their will. I dont care if it got lightly retconned, this singular piece of art gave us some of the best fics out there.

Yes the mother of all skk art is here. Its not my favorite but I can't not talk about what gets me about this art. Its how vulnerable Dazai looks in this. Head tilted up, eyes closed, he seems at peace honestly. And given the way Dazai is, constantly alert, its like he is this at ease because Chuuya is there to watch his back. And again, Chuuya is leaning over him protectively. Sure its very romantic and stuff but idk I find it more comforting than romantic. And like this was the first time anime onlys had seen the guy. Like imagine the impact this art had. People often write this piece off as cheap fanservice and pandering but like idk, it fits their canon dynamic a lot. There is nothing overtly romantic or sexual about it to me despite my dumb jokes.

Every single skk art Hoshikawa has dropped. Dazai's big doe eyes, Chuuya's sleep deprived gremlin aura with his lesbian attracting hips. I just love Hoshikawa.

And if we were talking about actual manga panels. Every single panel from the 15 manga, but the one that has me on my knees consistently is the dead apple manga panels: the dhc lap scene and the post dragon face holding scene. And the way Dazai laughed in their reunion.
