The brilliance of the “Sulley scaring Boo” scene.
Re-watching Monsters Inc and this movie is far better than I recalled. Especially because of how we are NOT shows a monster scare a child till much later in the film.
Sure, we see monsters enter doors to scare children and then leave once they got a container filled with scream energy, but we are not shown how exactly the monster does it and how the child react. We know what's going on, but we don't see it. Because of that, the watcher of the film is not completely aware of how messed up it is.
That is, till Sulley accidentally scares Boo.
Sully is this big lovable guy, a giant furball of friendly energy. He is very mellow.
But he is also this:

This is the first time we see a monster in action and it is utterly horrifying. This is when we are slapped in the face with what the monsters does. It just got very VERY real.
Sulley screams the kid-robot right in its face like he would a real child. And Boo unfortunately stands nearby and is therefor also screamed right in the face by Sulley.
And then Sulley sees how sad and frightened Boo is. It slowly sinks in for him that this is what he does to children, barging into their room and probably makes it difficult for them to sleep as they are terrified of the devil-bear-creature.

My friend called me this morning and just started off with no hello or anything.
"You know in Once Upon A Studio where every Disney character comes to life? Where are the Pixar characters?"
"It's just the disney characters, the Pixar characters are probably at Pixar studios."
"They're probably fighting for their life."
"Huh."
"The Pixar characters are in life threatening situations every second in some of their movies. They're probably fighting a monster or something."
"Go to sleep."
And I couldn't stop thinking of how funny the idea was

Propaganda under the cut
The Beating Heart Bride X The Hatbox Ghost (Heartbox) - Disney’s Haunted Mansion
These two don't have one canon personality (the HM franchise, the lore and its characters have the particularily to change in every adaptation) and in her case not one design (though I love her faceless bright eyed shadowy look, creepier and less human) and Disney tries to make us believe she never existed or is the Black Widow Bride, all I know is that back then the Beating Heart Bride aka Emily and the Hatbox Ghost were canonically groom and bride haunting the attic together and their gigs worked together. The potential of a romance between such creepy odd looking ghosts with the taller younger woman and the smaller older man always fascinated me and sounds much more interesting than the other adaptations that depict her with Mr Prettyface Ghost (Master Gracey)
James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski (MikeSulley) – Monsters Inc
No submitted propaganda
