EULA — 优菈

now while eula would normally abhor at the foul language and insults that so easily spew from your precious lips, she actually can’t help but be oddly bemused.

i mean her expectations for linguistics are awfully high, one mustn’t speak with little eloquence but your brashness was oddly…charming, and refreshing in a way. you weren’t afraid to offend people, and simply enjoyed the motto of “i won’t apologise for what i said, i’ll apologise for how it made you feel.”

eula is of course someone who’s treated like the poster-woman for the concept of rudeness given her past and current feigned ego, so honestly you sort of make her feel better about herself — not in a negative way, in the way that she just simply doesn’t feel that lonely anymore.

if anyone has so much as a word to speak against you due to something you’ve said, they can speak to her first. the entirety of teyvat is allowed to shudder if she so much as so breathes, but when it comes to you? vengeance will be severed with a side of wine.

XIAO — 魈

stop. please. xiao is already overwhelmed enough by the varieties of his duties, all his patrolling — and now he has to make sure his lover isn’t in an argument with someone or being threatened to literal death.

he frankly doesn’t really care about the way you speak, sure it’s surprising at first since the majority of people in liyue hold themselves in a way that seems a bit more…calm, but then again sometimes that within itself can be seen as a rude attempt at pacification of genuine feelings.

you’ve never been mean or rude to him, directly at least, so he literally doesn’t care how brutal or venomous your words are, so long as you don’t get yourself in too much trouble. people haven’t seen the yaksha so an edge whenever a person opens their mouth since, well, ever.

he’s never brought up your attitude or personality; he loves you wholly, even if some parts of you are a bit more prickly than rosy.

THOMA — 托马

“haha, they were just joking!” you ticked off another five on your little notepad with a careful swoosh of your pen.

thoma has had to repeat that very phrase so much to the point you’ve been keeping a safe tally on a notepad of whenever he says it. to be honest, you don’t even believe five can be multiplied this many times…

your rudeness and foul language comes as an innate package, and thoma has no problem in neatly tying that package up with a little bow to placate whoever you managed to horribly offend that day. you fear that one day, if thoma isn’t there, you’ll find yourself being interrogated by kujo sara, maybe in a more lucky scenario heizou, herself.

“thoma can you do this f—“

“no.”

“i— wasn’t asking you??”

“you didn’t need to, now fuck off (๑･̑◡･̑๑). don’t be incompetent and you wouldn’t have to ask someone else to constantly do shit for you.”

RAIDEN EI — 影

if not directed to herself directly, she finds you absolutely amusing. she literally cannot be a spokesperson against rudeness after her uhum many self-made and self-fulfilled tragedies, plus she herself can be rather verbally off putting therefore, she has little problems with how you address others.

she does, however, keep a very keen eye on you to make sure you don’t stir up trouble with the wrong crowd.

but, hey! the great thing about dating a highly revered archon is the fact literally no-one will speak out against you.

“[name] told me to kill myself when i said hi in the morning…” and guess what? all of a sudden they have a long voyage to the fiery volcanoes of natlan planned out. criticism is only allowed if it’s aimed at her, not you — you’re basically an extension of her, if anyone so much so demeans you because of your attitude, it’s almost like they’re disrespecting the electro archon herself.

that’s a crime the citizens of inazuma have long learned the lesson of.

FURINA — 芙宁娜

she loves you purely for the theatrics and dramatics you always managed to find yourself in. it always seems like drama follows you wherever you simply step — and hey, she’s an actress, it’s no wonder she’s so easily charmed and swayed with the way your voice rings out blunt responses like it were second nature.

and to be fair, she’s a massive instigator of conflict. on the sidelines of course. so when you perhaps “accidentally” rub someone the wrong way, she can’t help but use sarcasm to throw fuel into the fire and watch the hellish flames burn as she kicks back with a cup of tea and a slice of cake (you know, like a true mirror to marie antoinette)

i think your duo would be even funnier and more undoubtedly chaotic if you have british humour and or slang equipped because let’s be so real if this was modern furina would force neuvillette to act like her roadman guard-dog while she sold 50p sweets during break time to the year 8s. throw in a little “yute” or “op” and she has heart eyes all over you (i promise this is all for the sake of comedy…)

NAVIA — 娜维娅

the best part of being in a relationship is being able to chat shit about anyone and everything, because well, you’re each-other’s everything already, why rely on the kindness of strangers for validation?

you and navia do the thing where you’ll subconsciously glance at each-other from the corners of your eyes when someone (or people) say some dumb silly shit. the problem being, neither of you can keep quiet and immediately will begin giggling and will make it inevitably worse by whispering to one another “stop!” and “don’t laugh—“ while holding your mouths to stifle yourselves.

this leads to people being rather nervous to speak to navia when you’re around. usually, navia is very friendly and softly spoken; often she’ll be a rather happy-go-lucky and caring girl who smiles no matter what — of course this doesn’t mean she’ll allow people to walk all over her, but hey she believes in second chances — but when you’re around…people will loiter around creepily before gathering the courage to ask for help or whatever they need.

navia is at heart however, a very loving and respectful person so she will remind you of when you’ve stepped out of line. sometimes rudeness is just an innate quality that people have and it’s sometimes not intended out of malice; even petty things like lateness or speaking out of turn counts as “rudeness”, and navia is here to either make excuses up for you or to defend you from criticism ☆〜（ゝ。∂）

WRIOTHESLEY — 莱欧斯利

oh he absolutely eats this shit up. every argument, insult, fight etcetera you’ve ever had is kept in a personal file somewhere in his cabinet just for memories sake. wriothesley’s life is already quite dramatic and hectic as it can be, the fortress of meropide could honestly sometimes be described as a form of circus within itself especially if you’re involved, but he revels in your antics nonetheless.

you’re literally so fucking hilarious, each time he hears those heavy doors heave open beneath him he just KNOWS shit has gone down and you’re about to dramatise it for him live.

you best believe he’s an instigator the same way furina is; whispering to you and then giggling when you use his encouragement as some sort of reference while you practically spit venom at the person who’s unfortunately become your centre of focus.

he won’t allow you to stir up too much trouble in the fortress of meropide but being his partner you get the perk of not getting into nearly as much trouble as you would if you were one of the criminals down in the fortress (unless you are then…well you’re special so it doesn’t matter!)

The Story of Kunning Palace 命转皇后/宁安如梦

Started watching the canto dub with eng subs when it came on tvb!! I’ve wanted to watch it for a while but I didn’t want to get another streaming service to watch it. On episode 17 now and I couldn’t resist making a post about what happened so far lol. Please don’t give me spoilers!

I love Ning Er so much. She’s clever, and she’s trying her best to change things, but she doesn’t know everything from her past life and things have changed so she’s having to act on the fly! And I love seeing how she uses her wits in these moments! And how she outsmarts her opponents!

I love the dynamic between her and Xie Wei. The brat and teacher power dynamic? But she’s just as clever as he is? And he’s constantly like, how/why do you keep showing up when shit goes down?? She infuriates him but he’s also sooooo fascinated and charmed by her and he wants to protect her.

So this probs real obvious but I’m gonna put it down here anyway. Xie Wei is the missing Xue Ding-fei and he and the current Xue Ding-fei swapped identities so that he could be sneaky and undercover.

I… don’t think the male cast is very good-looking tbh :”) Zhang Zhe’s probably the most attractive to me. I guess Xie Wei is hot when he’s being all smug and domineering and shit. Also I love how Zhang Zhe (and Ning Er, but more so Zhang Zhe) had been going “You’re working for him too??” like, constantly and getting more and more incredulous but he can’t react cuz he’s undercover lmao.

I feel like this is the start of the second arc, like we’re leaving the palace, the stakes are higher, but maybe I’m wrong. More hilarious moments: when Zhou Yin-zhi tells Xie Wei Ning Er has been kidnapped and internally he’s like: What?? Why??? How??? WHY like girl is gonna make him go grey. And also when she tells Zhang Zhe she told the rebels they’re cousins but they’re in love so they ran away to elope is HILARIOUS. He’s like, why would you tell them that?? But tbh it was a good plan to get them to stop questioning her. And then the rebels acting increasingly awkward around them. Love that the auntie ships them. She’s like, ah young love.

It definitely appeals to me that Xie Wei is so clever but also fucked up. Like not necessarily in a bad way, but man has been through A LOT, since he was like 6. And he’s been plotting and scheming and deceiving for so long, that’s gotta have an impact on his personality.

I have so many fav moments when Ning Er out-smarts her enemies or comes out with the upper hand. A cute recent one is basically the whole “getting the second half of the letter” plot, but specifically when the bank notes reveal her little turtle drawing. So cute!! It’s like she’s saying, hi 👋🏻😙 and then when he shows it to the others and they are just so confused because they don’t have context for the turtle??

Okay wait wait before I end this post I wanna talk about what intrigued me so much about this show in the first place. I’ve always loved reading time travel fix-its, seeing how things change or stay the same, what characters do with what they know and i thought it'd be so interesting for a story to start like a time travel fix it fic, but because the audience doesn't have the established "canon", it's revealed slowly through the story. And then this show showed up on my tumblr and I was like ??? wth this is exactly what I was looking for

Hi I’m new to tumblr so I’m not sure how you normally post on here but I wanted to try posting some sketches of earth from tsams! I’m not the best with anatomy so I won’t lie I did trace over some photos (REAL PHOTOS NOT ART) I found on Pinterest and modified the proportions to fit my design, but I’m trying to improve lol. For now I just rlly wanted to flesh out my design for earth which I couldn’t do while my anatomy looked like crap 😭 all the full body ones I used references for but the one in the right corner was all me so I’ve got that to my name at least 💪 I’ll include my “reference” pictures as well :> and below the pics is an explanation of the design because I love to gush about this kind of thing. Fair warning, it’s pretty long LMAO

Hehe now it’s time for me to gush about my lil design 😈

So the first major difference you probably noticed (aside from body shape) is the very fluffy clothing I have her in. The leg warmers and… fingerless gloves? Leg warmers that she put on her arms? Idk what the arm ones are called but yk what I’m talking about lol. When I first noticed earths little rainbow headband my brain immediately said “80’s workout videos”. The big hair, the rainbow headband, it just immediately jumped ot at me and stuck. I decided to give her oversized leg warmers in that same rainbow pattern because it made me sad that her actual design doesn’t have the rainbow anywhere else. It’s funky and I like it what can I say.

Next I decided I really wanted her to wear thigh-highs. I personally love thigh-highs and also it gave me an excuse not to think about her leg mechanics. I tend to draw Sun and Moon like ball joint dolls, but it gets a lil funky to draw when they are bending their limbs so having a fluffy excuse to hide them was ideal lol. I decided to go with the bold choice of putting thigh highs and leg warmers on her, which I don’t regret even tho it probably seems like a lot. I might change a few things about her later down the line since these were just basic sketches so don’t worry if you hate it.

I gave her shorts because a skirt just didn’t feel right for her. I feel like a daycare attendant would be very active, even if earth tends to sit with the quieter kids, and a skirt would be very awkward to climb around in. I figured shorts would be good. I drew them like jean shorts since that was the original intention but they could be cloth rather than denim gimme time to think about it 💀

I had a lot of trouble decided whether the thingies on her shoulders were stand-alone or like pieces of hair she keeps up front (probably attached cuz she’s a robot) I decided on making them attached to the bigger floor of hair cuz I thought it looked cutest on the pic with her shoulders up and in front of her face lol.

Onto her chest plate thing, I was considering making it an actual shirt but decided against it. I wanted her to have a crop top bc I love crop tops so I just made it so her chest area was painted like a shirt, and then her middle area was back to her “skin” color, so it’s almost like a crop top but not really…?

Last but not least is her face, I also made that her “skin” color and just put the blue and green as her cheeks! I thought it looked cutest that way. She also has heterochromia cuz when a character has two main colors I really enjoy putting them on opposite sides as often as possible haha. So her green cheek has her blue eye and her blue cheek has her green eye. I know her original model has two blue eyes but this was what I went with.

Anyways that was super long and I’m super nervous about posting this so I’m just gonna hit post and if I find a typo or decide my lil explanation was 4 paragraphs too many I’ll fix it later. Have a nice day whoever is still reading this! :>

Ok i’ve been saving this cuz every time I come across it, it takes a whole brainstorming session to think it out lmaoo

And although there is some art by Arakawa with a chunk of the characters in class, I got my own modern day American public school ideas >:)c

If anyone has any other ideas, please feel free to throw them at me! Or if you wanna hear my opinion about so-and-so that I didn’t do, go ahead! (I did have more but tumblr mobile doesn’t like too many paragraphs after read more, so I’ll leave it where it is). I’ll even take art ideas, high school aus are so fun imo…

Ok so first off the bat since greed and ling were mentioned

Ling: the kid who comes in late constantly cause he had to get a starbucks coffee before class. He rarely studies or pay attention, but does extremely well in classes anyways. He will show up in outfits either way too planned beforehand or literal pajamas. Also he has been known for being punished because of eating in class when asked not to several times.

Lan Fan: Honestly not much different from Ling behavior-wise. She will study and pay attention sometimes, but mostly just to fill Ling in on what he missed. She has also been asked not to eat in the middle of class and got punished for doing it repeatedly lol. She’ll show up with a coffee with Ling in the mornings, plus wear an outfit that kinda screams “don’t look at me the wrong way or I’ll fuck you up”. Actually, maybe she just radiates that energy period.

Together, Ling and Lan Fan have totally gotten into their own handful of trouble, to the point where Fu had to pick them up and scold them lmaoo

Greed: ….ok well I either gotta ommit the fact that he’s practially 200 or looks like he’s in his 20’s or 30’s or just.. older than highschool age. So.. uhh if he were actually valid for being in school.. he’d probably surprisingly try his absolute hardest to understand material but not get it at all. And never actually go in for help or anything. Just picturing him trying to figure out math homework is not… yeah that’s not gonna go well lmaoo. He’s got the drive to do really well, and tries! And that’s all that matters! (don’t look at his grades)

Ed: The kid that pulls up in punk stuff (can’t forget the foot-tall platforms), and doesn’t actually try in most of his classes. He’s a natural prodigy and knows it, taking advantage of it constantly. The only classes he pays attention in are his science classes, to which then he studies ahead of the class and knows the ins and outs of everything they talk about.

Al: Pulls up in the most cozy academia outfits, but does almost exactly the same as Ed; pays attention only in sciences. Also a natural prodigy, he doesn’t exactly pay attention in other classes, again just like Ed. I will say though, unlike Ed who would probably put the minimal amount of effort to get 100 on assignments, Al wouldn’t half-ass it and put full responses on stuff so it looks like he was fully engrossed. Doesn’t mean he is, but at least the teacher doesn’t know that.

Would like to also add that they have gotten in their own fair share of trouble, to which they then get an earful from both Winry and Pinako. They’re (and by that I mean Ed’s) probably most likely to get into a school fight with Al trying to stop it, but that means he gets involved too

Winry: Befriends most students and all of her teachers, or at least tries. She also immediately sniffs out the bullshit teachers too. (This one’s in reference to the school I went to that offered technology courses where you can do woodwork and learn engineering skills, but) she would often hang out after school in the technology rooms, crafting whatever her mind was thinking that day. She gets constantly teased by Ed, but that’s mostly because both him and Al have to sit with her for hours, waiting for her to be done so that Pinako can pick them all up from school.

(Mr.) Mustang: One of the chemistry teachers in the building. Mostly liked by the students, although everyone’s definitely off-put by how much he talks about his wife “Elizabeth” when sometimes on the phone (some kids suspect it’s Mrs. Hawkeye). He’s notoriously know for how fun his class is in certain units, most notably the combustion unit, where he does some.. flashy demos. Overall though, a teacher I wish I had lol

(Mrs.) Hawkeye: Surprisingly, one of the English teachers. She’s one of the “strictest” teachers, but that’s only seen by the kids who don’t try in her class. She actually makes for a very good teachers, keeping everything in order and making sure that there’s fun… every so often. But kids always feel welcomed by her warm smile, and she feels that every kid has the potential to do well in her class.

“What’s so Special About the Moon?”

Jamil Viper x MC(insert character Mac)

(Ch. 1) – Ch. 2 – Ch. 3 – Ch. 4 – Next – Previous

This was originally supposed to be, like, a single chapter hurt/comfort before my OC (Mac) and Jamil as a song fic where they berate him and then sing a song referencing the moon… but then I had feelings and it’s becoming a more in depth character study between the two. Don’t worry! By the end of this mini series, there will be song lyrics and more sappiness… it’s just now that I’ve finished both Book 4 and Book 5, I need to reorganize the events and specific and whatnot. Some quick housekeeping as always: I tried to make Jamil to encompass both his dark & mysterious villain persona ALONG WITH him practically being a fucking child so that’s why I wrote him like *this* so yeah… I’m moving around the timeline so that Yuu/MC (aka Mac) has the weekend to GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER LOL, Mac is about 19-20 (haven’t decided yet) and uses mixed pronouns as a heads up, Ch. 2 has a 1st draft written put still needs to be typed up and edited. If you see a typo NO YOU DIDN’T!!! This one of my first times trying a different writing doc that isn’t Google (cuz fuck Google) and it’s a little weird to get used to and edit stuff. It’s beta-d in the sense that licking the spatula while your mom bakes cookies and claiming that you helped… literally only a few paragraphs were checked over y’all.

Quick shout-out to @krenenbaker and @twst-beam for inspiring my writing thus far (and sorry for taking so long to post this lol!)

I’ll be releasing some type of overview of my OC eventually, but take these snippets as they go while I fall back in love with writing. You’ll meet Mac in full when xey are good and ready… anyway, please enjoy Chapter 1 of my new fanfiction, “What’s So Special About the Moon?”

“Here. You can use this one,” Jamil directed towards the plain (compared to the rest of the dorm) laundry… mat? There were several industrial sized washer and dryers, a couple moderate-sized one’s that would fit a regular apartment complex, and a long wall designated area for hand washed items. Jamil was keeping the door prompt open with his hips; his slight frown of concentration and the flick of his Magic Pen were the only signs of the current spell he had going. Turning around, MC was slightly surprised by the massive piles of fabric that was being corralled in via multiple a massive sheet tied to multiple brooms. They still couldn’t fully grasp the concept (and power) of magic and seeing it so casually performed on a day-to-day basis was kinda daunting.

“Thanks again for letting us use the space along with showing me how to properly clean all these fancy duds and whatnot.” the Ramshackle Perfect awkwardly trailed off. Their focus was split between stealing peaks at the Scarabia Vice Warden, not wanting to bother the already busy Sophomore, and surveying over the dusty, damaged antique pieces the two stripped from the halls of the previously abandoned dorm. Rugs, carpets, curtains, furniture covers (in varying state of disrepair) dulled of their once rich and vibrant color. The patterns were a mix of stuffy academia and the quiet comfort of a grandparents cottage living room. Both extravagant, yet understated. It’s a style lost to time, but not quite a revived ancient aesthetic.

At this point MC was fully lost in thought; they desperately needed to clean, fix, organize and decorate the dorm in preparation to host so many guests. Even with his limited memories, they had a feeling they’d never hear the end of it from his parents.

“Don’t worry about it much.” Jamil said, interrupting their musings. “Honestly, I’m doing this as much for myself as I am helping you.

With a flick of his wrist, Jamil organized the seemingly random crumbled piles of fabric by condition, color and use. His movements while cleaning were quick, smart, and efficient-- all while patiently showing Mac which order to start in along with the best way to clean them.

“Ya’ know…” MC broke the relative quietness between the two workers, “Even with everything thing that happened over break, I understand why Kalim still trusts you; I almost can believe that you’re not that bad of a guy.” Jamil gave xem a startled (and exasperated) look, but they continued before he could respond: “I fail to see how helping the person who ruined your ‘world domination’ plans—”

“They were hardly World Domination level!” He quickly snapped. His embarrassment led to him tugging his hood further down his face, teeth slightly clenched, and dilated eyes as MC continued listing all the ways he’s “helped” them out.

The magic-less Perfect laughed to themselves the more conflicting emotions flew across Jamil’s face. Eventually those same emotions were compressed behind a cold, smooth mask. Limestone slabs and stiff mud brick walls were swiftly constructed between the two working-class students. Something about it didn’t sit right with Mac.

“Hey I’m not saying what you pulled wasn’t a dick move! But you’re also not the first overly-traumatized teen boy I’ve had to deal with… and between what you’ve said about yourself, plus thing’s I’ve heard and seen, I’m starting to think you’re not nearly as complicated as you think you are.” The longer they argued *to* him, the more Jamil’s mask began to crack; there were a few holes in his walls he didn’t account for. Xe’s a tad more observant than I remember, but weirdly just as persistent, Jamil internally rolled his eyes.

“I could still change my mind and send you back to deal with the Pomefiore Wrath(tm),” He mumbled while gracefully lugging the newly cleaned (and damp) furniture coverings into an empty drier. Despite his harsh threat, MC still remembered him assuring the other this laundry room was only ever used by him after Kalim’s parties.

The large machines and larger working space was specifically added for the servant to clean and repair any decor or Asim Family Treasures when Kalim’s recklessness caused a larger mess than usual. This meant that Mac and Grim (who was originally supposed to be helping… where the hell was he anyway?) could do as many loads needed without worry. On top of the borrowed space, the Housewarden himself had cheerily has assured them, his Oasis Maker would replace all the water used ten times over!

Mac’s thoughts were interrupted once again as Jamil relented, “I told you, I’m doing this to help me.” After receiving an unconvinced eyebrow raise, Jamil began to explain, “Kalim might’ve announced us as equals but I still have a job to do. If he got sick while spending Allah knows how long in a dusty, dirty, shabby condemned building like Ramshackle I’ll never hear the end of it.”

“It’s not nearly that bad anymore!” the sole-human resident of said dorm argued, but was quickly shut up with a tired gesture towards the untouched loads of laundry left to be done.

“On top of that,” Jamil smirked “Even a common peasant like myself wouldn’t sleep in a rundown garbage heap if I can help it.” His smirk slowly slide off his face from his face as the insulted Perfect almost ripped the handful of soapy doilies, that they were previously scrubbing by hand, as xey prepared a retaliation.

“OK, first of all! This whole Inferior-Superior shtick isn’t going to prove your point. If I’m being totally honest, I’m pretty used to the bratty, arrogant attitude of teenagers by now (even if I wasn’t Leona is a thousand times worse).” They turned their full body to face the 2nd year boy before continuing the assault. “Secondly, even just doing the bare minimum would’ve been fine, considering I’ve slowly been deep cleaning them place room by room. This is just last minute cleaning considering I wasn’t expected to host six extra people in two days.”

The shock of Mac’s care and attention to detail couldn’t win over Jamil’s newfound freedom to be right… and sassy while doing it. “Keep in mind you wouldn’t be the only one having to deal with Vil. His expectations are much higher than my personal standards—”

“Getting there!” MC interrupted again. “It’s not like Vil and whoever else couldn’t magic things better or get things done over at Pomefiore.” However, their fire started to die down with their obvious lack of understanding of magic. Not that Xeir level of intellect ever stopped them from talking out of their ass during debates… even if this wasn’t exactly shaping up to be anything like Debate Club back home.

“Not the point!” Mac built back their steam after thoughtlessly shaking off any internal distractions. “Third of all,” Jamil groaned not-so-quietly, “third of all, you didn’t have to show me how to do it. Nor did you have to continue helping me. There’s only so much I could pay you back in favors and it’s not like you’ll make back the time and energy spent. You’re obviously a bit of a piece of shit but I don’t totally blame…”

Jamil suddenly gave Mac his full attention. He smoothed any emotional tells from his face and readied himself to actively dissect what ever left xeir mouth and any messages in between the lines. The silence prompted Mac to drip extra sincerity as they begin to ramble without thinking.

“… I get why you did what you did. You’re not totally forgiven, but it’s not like I’ll hold a grudge over you forever. Whenever I joke about Winter Break I thought you knew it was just that: a joke.”

The two stared at one another for a few beats. Jamil betrayed nothing that he was thinking, but Mac could practically feel the exasperation flooding off of him in great waves. The disbelief pushing and pulling off of him, despite remaining stone cold to zeir admission. So, of course, they continued with slight for fever:

“Yeah, okay, you held us all prisoner, enslaved via hypnosis your entire dorm, and nearly killed multiple students. Twice.” Mac cringed at their own blunt statement, “… But why would you go as far as you did, if you didn’t care! What your parents, and more specifically your culture, put you through wasn’t fair—but you obviously still love and cherish them!”

At this, he seemed to get even more guarded. It felt patronizing to be hold how he supposedly felt or why he should feel a specific way. They hadn’t been there. They hadn’t grown up as a Viper in the Desert, constantly reminded by Kalim’s Mirage of wealth what he could never have. They didn’t know the FIRST thing about the Scalding Sands—!

“… How do you know anything about my parents? Did Kalim--?!” He choked out infuriated at the mere implication.

“Relax Viper! It’s all in the Secret of The Ooze™”

“What?”

“Never mind…”

The usual absurdity of MC’s references (much to xeir chagrin that no one seemed to understand them) Jamil allowed himself a shadow of a smirk. Right about now they’d drop what they were saying and instead empathize with him over terrible bosses. They’d both fall back into a familiar pattern of quiet understanding while making playful small talk; maybe Xe’d make a remark over how “hellish” the desert temperature is and moan about being “a poor Northern forced into the sun” before dragging them both off to grab an abominably sweet drink that Kalim would still put sugar in. Xe had always been could at mediating with the other students at NCR.

However, they didn’t drop it. They continued to push him… especially when they realized that he expected the conversation to have ended and started to relax. Xey pushed and pushed and pushed. Finally, they had circled back to him rebelling from his status.

“What? You think I’d be Happier staying a lowly servant?! I’d rather cut my own tongue out than remain bending to Kalim’s will for the rest of my days.” He huffed, still not stopping his assault on the pile of laundry in front of him.

A frustrated sigh left Mac as Xey tried to get their point across, “THAT’S NOT WHAT I’M SAYING!… Obviously, you don’t love being forced into child labor or having to pretend to be something you’re not, but that doesn’t mean you’re totally being honest with yourself either. Rebelling adolescents often do a complete 180 of who they once presented as in an extreme action to feel validated.”

Jamil scoffed in indignation at the impromptu therapy session he’d been forced into.

“Just because you were forced to lie sometimes as ‘Servant Jamil’ doesn’t mean those memories or feelings weren’t authentic!”

“My Childhood, my Pride, my ENTIRE LIFE was stolen from me before I could even open my eyes, Mac! Who could cherish that sort of future?”

“I’m not disputing that! I’m not trying, in any way, to imply that what you went through didn’t fucking suck. But just because you’ve started saying the quiet part out loud doesn’t mean you’re being totally honest either. Switching one mask for another just means nothing has changed but your ability to bitch about-it to the kid you literally Grew Up With, Jamil.” A tired resignation was growing in their eyes as they headed to the end of xeir rant.

It was clear MC was starting to speak in circles and xey weren’t going to be able to get through to them. A heavy weight sunk deep in their chest, slowly sliding to xeir stomach the more he misunderstood the magic-less student. I saw him drown in the depths of his own helplessness and self-pity, but even after he’s been pulled out it’s like he can’t help but dive back in for a swim. It was a suffocating thought while Mac watched as Jamil once again went stone-faced… Like what he was about to say would be his final shield before walking away. It’s a shame that the Ramshackle Resident had become too used to throwing bombs over walls and blowing verbal shields to smithereens after months of being stuck in Twisted Wonderland.

“I’m not sugarcoating or bowing down to anyone anymore. I won’t bite my tongue. I won’t put on a Happy Face to Kalim’s idiotic, half-thought out ideas again. I’m slowly gaining my freedom, something you clearly don’t understand. Just because you’re as blind as he is doesn’t mean anything! What more could you want from me?!” He hissed his final insult before finally stepping away from his station. Not leaving the room, he aggressively got himself a cup of water from one of the sink and gulped the unfiltered water down.

“Just because you’re not hiding your bitter, knee-jerk reaction from an unfair world doesn’t mean you aren’t still hiding away and lying about your more vulnerable emotions.” Mac whispered in an emotionless tone. “Cutting a part of your past off and pretending it was never there is doing yourself a disservice and lying to those that still care about you… And there sure-as-shit isn’t much that I hate more than a Fucking Liar.”

The lacy doilies sat in a sudsy basin, left forgotten as the two students stood a mere paces from each other—both maintaining an uncomfortably intense eye contact. The sloshing thump of the washers and stirring hum of driers harmonizing were the only song to accompany the two’s stare down. A short hiccup as Mac took a drawn out breath was the only reaction between the two of them. The combined heat of Scarabia’s sun (barely past 10am) and the humidity of continued use of machinery didn’t help the suffocating air in the wide laundry room. Not to mention the loud, stifling silence to boot.

MC usually held back such honest commentary (not that they weren’t blunt) unless Xe deemed it necessary: think high stakes and a sense of urgent drama. But something about Jamil and Kalim’s situation reminded them of himself. The two’s intertwined dance of class, history, loyalty and betrayal, friendship and loss, and such overwhelming guilt reminded the dimension hoping stranger of home. Whatever that meant.

But this was no time to get lost in their own problems and Trauma’s. They’d went too far (again) and that means xey should be the bigger person (again) and deescalate the situation before he hated them (AGAIN). Which means, MC would be the one to break the silence and run away again.

“Ya’ know what? Grim’s probably burned the school down already. Don’t worry about,” Ze gestured blindly to the numerous stations they’d started, “this mess. I’ll rope my little Rat Gremlin and the Freshies into finishing this up. Hell, I could probably convince Rugs to pitch in for lunch or something. Bully the Music Club with helping in exchange of random sheet music I still remember from home.”

Their rambles became more spastic as they noticed Mr. Sugar, Spice and Not-So-Nice break out of his own trance and try to reply. “Seriously! Just enjoy the break… Not that it’s my place or responsibility to be butting in anyway. I will be back in, like, 10 minutes and from here-on-out minding my own damn business. Sorry. Whatever. See you sometime after Sunday, I guess?” Their entire monoluge Mac was slowly backing out of the room before turning around in xeir spot and just short of sprinting their way out of the dorm. A few passerby Scarabia students stopped to eavesdrop on xeir muttering… watch them leave.

Without getting a word in Jamil stood unmoving, watching the Ramshackle Perfect leave swifter than the desert wind shifting the dunes. Almost on auto-pilot, he simply left to go back to his room and do as he was told; enjoy his break. His day off. The day he could do what he liked and didn’t necessarily have to prioritize work. A day he spent working to help and assist the pitiful, magic-less loser that was dropped-kicked into another reality and forced to play nice with a University filled with overpowered and hormonal teenagers while having no way home… And in return was insulted, psychoanalyzed, and thrown aside before he could get a word in edgewise.

“Son of a STREET RAT!!!!!” It was clear he’d need a few hours to calm down before he could even think of trying to enjoy the rest of his Saturday off.

Hi hi hi! For your rematch I bet you thought of him didn’t you? Yeah after more thinking I believe you fit more with Lucifer. You’re quite energetic and dabbles in a lot of hobbies. You need someone who can keep up with you and either hype you up or calm you down. Lucifer is a nice fit for this.

Now this may sound as the to go to scenario but you two met at the hotel. Unless you provide another scenario I don’t have another one that won’t break your character….Due to your initial shy and distant character at first, Lucifer didn’t pay much mind. But when he saw other having fun with you and praising how nice you are he got curious. Perhaps even worried because most hell sinners have hidden intentions. But with time he realized that you had good intentions and is the funny dad friend everyone needs. Even him. He felt comfortable enough with you to let his guard down little by little. It was shown in how he always showed you his new inventions or got you your favorite snacks when you had a bad mood. Heck you two even had weekly gossip sessions lol. He realized his feelings when Charlie pointed out how much time you two spent together and how close you got. He had an oups moment and confessed during a weekly meeting you two had.

Lucifer is someone who adapts to his lover and does his best to make them happy. Even if it ends relatively bad like we saw with Lilith. He’s rather clumsy while talking at the start but will feel confident rather soon. He always hypes you up in your endeavors even if it involves rules breaking. Your weekly meetings turn into daily meetings where you two ramble about your day before going to sleep. He gives you good advices as he’s rather knowledgeable in many fields. Nights where you two go into deep discussions slowly become his favorites because he discovers a new side of you. He eventually opens up about his past but it takes him many years to acknowledge with you his own mistakes.

Your independence is rather nice because he tends to isolate and needs his me time. But he wants you to talk to him about your problems. The only time he’ll get angry at you is if you somehow get yourself in danger. He’ll get angry, deal with the problem and go to cool off. He’ll apologize for his behavior later and spoils you as an apology. He’ll try to make you laugh because he loves your laugh, it always puts him in a good mood. He once got you plushies every week, but once he knew you didn’t like plushies that much (totally not because he is jealous of the kisses they get) he stopped and instead got you art material and instruments. You get monthly ducks too. He has one that looks exactly like you and probably rehearsed some conversations with it lol.

Lucifer loves how attentive and caring you are, even to strangers. He lets you do what you want and even encourages you while he stands back to make sure they don’t have negative intentions towards you. Something he likes is how you never take anything for granted. It makes him feel appreciated because his love language is mainly acts of service and gift giving. It’ll take time for him to get used to physical affection but soon you’ll notice that he always holds your hand in public and refused to let you out of his embrace when sleeping. Speaking of domestic things, you two adopted 3 pets of your choice. He had to put a stop to it because you were gonna adopt all animals in hell and he’s already jealous of your three companions. When he was having a bad day and you took care of him, he believed he felt a new kind of love. He was so grateful for it. You can notice it because he became more vulnerable around you, even letting you touch his wings and horns.

Lucifer plays many instruments and would adore to play with you! He’d teach you many tricks and shortcuts (he’d rig the game cuz he’s the ref. Sorry not sorry). He also collects things and would be happy to feed your own collections. You can also find Lucifer at all your plays if you let him. He’s just proud of you okay? In general, you two are a couple that know how to have fun.

Now Suguru is a complex character and it’s actually the first time I write for him so forgive me if I mess up lol. Suguru is someone with a black and white ideology. He despises non sorcerers but cares deeply for sorcerers. In the end he just wants to create a perfect world for his loved ones. Thus, I believe he is a very devoted lover who’d give it all for your happiness. Truly selfless love.

You and Geto were classmates. You two got along with your similar taste of music and you introduced him to video games. You were here for him during his darkest hours this is why he fell for you. How caring, attentionate, grateful and optimistic you are truly made him see you in a positive and loving light. He asked you out after you both came back from a dangerous mission. Life is too short to be indecisive.

Geto is a boyfriend that always has your back if he believes you are right. He’s always here to keep your feet to the ground and save you from making reckless decisions. Yeah he’s also a dad friend, perhaps even more of a dad friend than you are. He shares his inner thoughts with you but it’d take him time to share his darker thoughts. He just doesn’t want to drag you into the rabbit hole he fell into. He also tends to overthink and you noticed that. That’s why you two have a mandatory funny/goofy talk each day. You two share gossips, jokes, snacks and thoughts. It really helped in getting closer. He likes these moments a lot because it makes him feel at ease, forgetting all his other troubles. Communication is key in a relationship but for someone like him it’s gonna take a lot of time. He’s a ticking bomb. Your opiniated self helps him keep his head on his shoulders.

Geto is reluctant to break some rules to have adventures but can’t resist joining you lol. He’s always up for a fun time, often taking you to explore some abandoned places together and enjoy the view. He’s also very attentive and always gets you your favorite snacks to save your days. If you’re having a bad day he’ll pick you up, head home, roll you into a burrito and cuddle with you over a movie waiting for your take out to arrive. While you’re nice and want to help out everyone you meet, he is not. He only helps specific people and often made it known that most people you help don’t deserve it. This sparked some arguments between the two of you. While he doesn’t fully agree (sometimes he is jealous of these strangers) he now keeps his mouth shut. He still has a heart and sometimes help you out. After these debates he takes you out on a date to a concert, arcade, park or even some nice restaurants if he can reserve it. Geto can also cook rather well and often prepares bentos for both of you every day.

He finds your habbit of kissing your plushies rather cute and he teases you for it. He sometimes lay on them and demands attention. Geto also likes getting you trinkets when he’s on a solo mission. Especially if it’s something you collect. His love language is acts of service and quality time. He also enjoys physical touch and likes holding your hand or hugging you at home. He’d accept to get an animal but only one because of your schedules. And no, no amount of begging or puppy eyes will melt his heart on this matter. Sometimes your cat sides with him which makes him laugh. He really enjoys your interest for arts and likes taking you on museum dates or concerts so he can see you ramble about those topics you love so much. He doesn’t play an instrument in the manga but I headcanon him playing the guitar. Your house is always filled with music which makes him happy. Sometimes he just lays down and enjoys your music. He encourages your hobbies and even gifted you an expensive camera for your birthday! He’s into sports himself and likes playing with you.

Overall this relationship is one where he learns to progress and heal while giving the best of himself to you. It does get rocky when he starts to stray but I believe he’d do his best to stay clean because he found a new reason to figth.

The sly and funny sorcerer. This man is charismatic and flirty, he generally gets along with everyone (and more if affinity ahem-). I choose him because he’s versatile and caring if it makes sense.

How you met: Let’s follow the plot shall we? (date. Okay sorry I’ll stop). Solomon always has a comeback when you’re being sassy with him and just seems to know what people are thinking. He’d be the one to show you around and would encourage you to break the rules if it’s not too dangerous. Seems casual right? Yeah and it would’ve stayed that way if it wasn’t for…asmodeus! Come on, in the house of lamentation both of you would easily get along. He’d be the type to drag his two favorite humans along to his shenaningans (idk how it’s pronounced). The trouble trio lol. It would prompt you and Solomon to spend more time together and get to know each other. He is into anime/manga and gaming as we saw with Levi. The fact that you’re also dad friend but also fun and entertaining would put him more at ease with you because he doesn’t have to pick up slacks or worry about you getting in serious trouble lol. I think you’d be the one to fall first. Or that asmodeus would notice the tension between both of you and will try to pair both of you together until he succeeds. Now I also thought that it could start as a FWB type of thing if you feel up to it. Because Solomon has these kind of friendships and it’s highly possible that Asmodeus would propose it

In a relationship: Something nice with you and Solomon is that you have a lot in common and he’s also a very curious individual in general so this definitely won’t be a problem as I can see you two enjoying the same hobbies and having fun. He’s a tease so when you give him words of affirmation you can expect him to act all flirty as a thank you, or very soft in rare moments lol. He always protects you in fights and you patch him up in exchange lol. If anyone were to insult you or your style they can expect one hell of a beating. I think he’d ask you out after a dangerous mission where he saw how scared he was of losing you.

How you met: Since you wanted future setup we’re gonna follow that. And thankfully, mitsuya usually shares the same future. You were his model, his first official model if you know what I meant. He always called you when he had your style in mind or an outfit that could fit you. Heck I can even see both of you having photoshoots together because he works with you a lot and you get along with his little sisters (he started working young so it’s to be expected that you met them before). As much as he tried to keep it professional, it’s difficult to do so with someone you see that often so you two are bound to talk and befriend each other. He always makes sure your favorite beverages are present and when he receives invitations to events like dinner he found himself thinking about you and eventually kept inviting you. He appreciates your sarcasm and independence when working with you because he knows you mean well and you’re honest too! This basically went from work to lovers in the span of many years. Poor forgotten William…how dare you do him wrong like that sniff sniff. I admit that the most difficult part of William…Is just befriending this man. Cuz once he befriends you, it’s easier for him to fall in love and ask you out. He is a very traditional boyfriend who would prepare a whole dinner date (perhaps he cooked) and invite you before asking you out at the end of it. In a relationship, there is a mandatory tea break with you that he would never miss. He has to bitch about his work to someone and if you have any issues he would be glad to take care of it. And then thirdly and finally, there’s Wilbur getting the chance to run and staying. There are a few important things to note 1. Wilbur's first instinct is to go find Tommy and his second one is going to the temple. We’re adding new irony to the opening sentence of the chapter : [ ].

Then Wilbur realises he could escape. Operation 2. Wilbur from a few weeks ago would have ran the second he realised. Current Wilbur, who, in his defense, is very drunk, needs a little longer to process. Bless his soul he does lay put an entire plan, but he doesn’t leave. Which again shows a lot of progress because that’s what he’s wanted for ages. He wants to have a purpose and be where he belongs. He wants Clara to like him.

But he’s also finally gotten the opportunity to speak his mind and in doing so, has finally admitted to himself how shit his life was. Just a little but, cuz there’s so much he’s still in denial about. And he did literally vent about how frustrating it is that Schlatt doesn’t listen. He knows that won’t change. So what’s the difference between being there or staying at the temple? At the temple he has Tommy. At the temple he can laugh and joke with Niki and Jack. At the temple he’s allowed to be a person, even if he still won’t let himself accept that he is one.

So Wilbur stays. Even if he can’t wrap his head around why he stays. Or around the fact that he wants to stay. His body makes him stay, but his mind wants to leave. Again not because he wants to, but because he thinks that’s what he’s supposed to do. That’s what Clara would want him to do. But it’s not what he wants. So even if he still wanted to force himself to follow Clara’s will, he ended up doing what he wanted. And that’s a victory. But I except it’s going to sit in his mind a bit because he doesn’t know why he couldn’t leave.

And then Tommy comes back and rightfully has a freakout. Because if Wilbur had run, Tommy would be in a lot of trouble. But Wilbur didn’t run and I think Tommy has a better idea of why. Or maybe he thinks he does. I don’t know how obvious it is to Tommy that Wilbur doesn’t want to go back because he’s (subconsciously) starting to realise that he’s better of here. Tommy does want to know why Wilbur didn’t leave, and he knows to push past the bullshit, but takes the [“I don’t know,”].

lmao fun fact that irony of the first sentence was completely unintentional

he's so in denial about so many things still, but he's started to admit to himself how much he hated being in the palace. he's been shown a different kind of life he didn't know was possible, and even if he's not thinking of it consciously, subconsciously he wants that. badly. nothing's going to change if he goes back because schlatt won't listen, so even though it's the selfish choice in his mind, why shouldn't he stay with his friends?

he wants to leave but he doesn't. he tells himself he wants to leave because he knows that's what he should be thinking, but it's not the truth. he made a choice for himself even if he wasn't fully admitting it. he didn't want to leave, so he didn't.

oh tommy definitely knows. something I feel is often overlooked with tommy as a character is how emotionally intelligent he is. he's really good at reading wilbur's emotions so tommy can fully tell that wilbur didn't want to leave. of course he doesn't know that for sure and is aware it could be wishful thinking on his end, but he knows that wilbur's excuse about clara was bullshit so what other reason is there? that's why he takes the 'I don't know' because even if wilbur doesn't know, tommy knows. and he's so, so relieved.

Final Thoughts: Dall-E Mini is fun enough, but I’m not really impressed. It feels exactly the same as that other image AI from several months ago that I’ve completely forgotten the name of lol. The only improvement over that one is Dall-E generates 9 images instead of 1.

Looking at other people’s results, I’d probably be more impressed if I liked more popular things, lmao.

Dall-E 2 looks impressive, and when that becomes publicly mess-around-able I’ll probably mess around with it. But I’m not holding my breath for it to be able to generate anything I actually want without having to write a novella in the prompt bar. :P

All that said, most of these I made tonight did manage to make at least one image each that I’d kinda like to take into Clip Studio and turn into a finished artwork... Hmm.

I’m screaming and rolling on the ground about nihil being pressured to have kids thing cuz like “YES, YOU GET IT”. My man had probably kids before he was going through his rockstar high (they pressured him to have at least one kid very quickly so they wouldn’t have to deal with a ‘no heir’ situation again) so by the time he did and was done his kids were probably in their tweens to early adulthood (I like to think primo isn’t actually much older then his brothers he just acts very old for his age lol) and since nihil wasn’t there/was a very bad and absent father for their childhood and so now he doesn’t know how to interact with them and they want nothing to do with him.

He loves his kids but he doesn’t know how to approach them at all and it makes him bitter as all hell towards everyone because he just sees so much of himself in his boys (especially Terzo) and wishes he could’ve been better or his sons would allow him to try and be a father. The only person he would feel comfortable enough consulting is probably sister but she’s gone and doesn’t want to get close to him so he doesn’t think they might get back together.

We only see a glimpse into the lives of sister and nihil and it annoys me when everyone seems to make them both villains because it’s more compelling to me when they’re good and kind people who do bad things or are morally ambiguous people who do what is needed even if it hurts them. That’s not to say I don’t think sister didn’t manipulate nihil at least a little bit to convince him to kill his sons but I think sister did that because in her mind she was putting their son in the spotlight like he should’ve been instead of some cardinal people looks down on.

Ahhfjebhsshd it’s just the angst for nihil coming to terms with what he agreed to and that he killed his little boys and can’t bring them back even if they didn’t like him and him waking up and crying in his bed because he has no one to grieve with and sister doesn’t really care all too much because her darling cardinal is on the throne now and he can’t understand why she doesn’t care about these people she’s assisted for years while they took over the papacy and watched them grow up for the most part and made sure they didn’t get themselves killed (she is grieving in her own way but saw it as a necessary evil). I also think Sestorrrr does still love nihil and that’s why she prioritized copia over the boys so much more because she saw him as a product of their love and not something church mandated and they would’ve been a happy family if he didn’t cheat on her. I also think she raised him as an adopted orphan because if he was raised as a child of the bloodline she would’ve been subjected to much more pressure to preform and would not be allowed to relax and truly be a child as much as other kids in the abby

sorry for going on a rant but these two evil bastards are so much fun to talk about when they’re morally grey and conflicted. I don’t hate when people make them purely evil (because hey, conflict in a story is nice) but there’s just so much to explore with these people ya know.

There’s been lots of random blogs I get all pissed off about, like the numerous t*rf blogs I’ve blocked or the ppl who say creepy shit in the it tag (cough cough the person who wrote the pedophilia incest fic). But I think I’ll do the ranting about a blog that you’re all too familiar with 🤡. I won’t name drop but I’m sure ppl could figure out easily enough

They made many angry rants about how shipping jesse/lake was super toxic and creepy and I mean, ehhhh. I’m not too into that ship but I’m not gonna argue that cuz it just is a major stretch. It’s okay to just not like something you don’t have to make up shit lol

Bouncing off the first point they were very protective of lake as a character and got really heated if you didn’t see them as a lesbian specifically. Which I can kindaaaa agree in a sense? Like lake is canon butch so when ppl make them feminine it’s pretty shit cuz they as a character don’t feel comfortable with that and it makes me wonder why people are aching to put a butch in girly clothes (I know why but still). I personally like to see lake as a trans guy cuz mostly I’m starved for that shit cuz we have literally nothing and I really relate to a lot of what lake goes through in the season. But hm, I’m not gonna act like that’s the one true way to interpret this character. There’s evidence in the text that can point in many directions. And yeah I have my own hcs for these characters and theres hcs other people have that I don’t like but if it’s nothing harmful or blatantly untrue then I’m gonna mind my own business since sexuality/gender wise these characters aren’t actually anything and it’s all up to interpretation

They said that ace hcs were sexualizing minors and talked over the numerous ace ppl that told them that straight up wasn’t true because THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE BEING ACE

And they don’t act like straight dudebros my man wtf. And before anyone says anything I know that it was written before the season came out but I raise my big complaint being WHY DID YOU WRITE THESE CHARACTERS BEFORE THEN YOU DONT EVEN KNOW SHIT ABOUT THEM MY MAN

In the same vein as previous point they were like super mad about how the actual season came out and it’s like oh noooo it’s almost like you built some shitty version in your head of how the show would be and when it obviously didn’t follow through you got all defensive. I mean I’m not saying you have to like the season but you kinda had it coming you know?

Putting this here cuz uhhh I can’t believe that the majority of the theories we were discussing just didn’t happen or matter (at least this volume) . Like yo I was legit stuck on Steve having a spider on his shoulder for no reason!! None of the main character’s surviving meant nothing like vecna/Henry/001 just kept talking to el about her watching everything burn. Like he didn’t even seem that upset at the others it was mainly about El which is huge/important and I get why but also at the same damn time THE OTHERS HELPED EL! THE OTHERS ALSO HELPED TO DEFEAT HIM MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT MEANT NOTHING IN THIS VOLUME!!! They’re better be something about it next season cuz at this point it’s like they’re all wearing plot armor!!

Also lol we were talking about stancy and Steve’s relationship with romance and how we hate it. But I just realized something even more of why we should hate it. In season 2 they did the same thing and yet Steve didn’t completely focus on romance. I believe Nancy was the one to start the convo in the shed of the last ep in season 2 and Steve talked to her. And the last time they talked she legit couldn’t even say she loved him. Like even tho it was still evident that he was hurt about the romance he also put his own feelings aside to help save the world. He put his own feelings aside and decided TO HELP THE KIDS WHO HE BARELY HAD A FRIENDSHIP WITH!!! HE DIDNT MOP AROUND WHEN THE WORLD WAS ENDING!! INSTEAD HE TURNED THOSE FEELINFS AROHND AND HELPED PEOPLE HE BARELY EVEN KNEW JUST BECAUSE RHEY WERE IN DANGER!! The wound was still fresh in season 2 so it would make sense why part of him was still thinking about the situation and feeling the way he did. But now it’s been almost two years in canon and somehow he’s doing this shit!! Somehow he’s more focused on romance when in season 2 when the world was ending he pushed past it!!

literally what was the reason for the spider on his shoulder? what was the reason!? like beside setting up one of many stancy moments that made me :// and like you said his whole thing about his love life in the face of world ending seemed, I don’t want to say ooc, but just like shoved into the conversation when we know that steve would do just about anything to focus on the kids and his friends and saving the world. not to mention the fact that he knows nancy doesn’t want the same future that he does. and there’s nothing wrong with either one of them wanting their respective futures, it’s just makes no sense to try to put them together again. especially when steve said himself that he not longer lovers nancy in s3.

and yes!! I want vecna to want revenge on everyone. and because of that the only way they can win is if they fight together. at least the core 4 boys and el. give me full on evil monster hunting down the entire party because they are the one thing that stands in his way every time, not just el, all of them

I love this question!!!!!! So many things!!! (For outsider context millennia gate is my tvc au about social media drama) Recently I’ve been thinking about how I’d respond if someone asked me if I “have a side” or am morally aligned with any stance about the discourse that the fic is centered around. And the answer is no!! I do not. It’s actually sort of strange if u think about it, but I don’t agree with literally any characters at all. Not even the side characters or the random stock social media users, some of those I agree with more than others, but I’m so disconnected as the omniscient creator that I feel almost completely neutral. I just think everyone is bad lmfao that’s the fun. It’s why I’m so entertained when I get comments from ppl reacting like it’s a real drama, bcus they have a perspective I feel so disconnected from. I love it it’s so cathartic to write about a scenario based on the situations I see online that I get very upset about (I have hyper empathy and an online discourse addiction 😭) without feeling any obligation to come up with the correct moral stance, since it’s u know, not real, and I am the god of creation dictating the spiral into madness. I also am always hoping that someone asks me about the themes of millennia gate, cuz believe it or not for a glorified crack fic I put a lot of thought into those 😭 there’s a lot. I’m not gonna get into it bcus that would be it’s own post there is just sm, but omg if anyone wants to hear about it👁️👁️ be my guest to leave an ask.

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

ooo this is hard, I tend to stick very strongly to my opinions. Not necessarily dislike, but I used to be impartial if not completely disinterested in rule 63 until someone (hi Ray) turned me onto it. When I was much younger I didn’t like aus because I just wanted to read extensions of canon, and that has changed majorly. I used to think I didn’t like enemies to lovers until I realized that I only didn’t like straight people, and didn’t like interesting relationships that used to be fueled by rivalry and hatred getting squashed by fluffy romance and rendered less exciting. Turns out I just I want my enemies to lovers to stay enemies when they become lovers <3 lmfao. I also used to think I didn’t like unhealthy relationships in fiction, but it turns out I was in denial,,bless. What is the point of a fictional romance if it’s not a little fucked up? To idealize? Sounds fake. I used to think I didn’t like romance but turns out I only like romance when it’s unhealthy 😭 full circle.

26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue? ONLY DIALOGUE ONLY DIALOGUE ONLY DIALOGUE A BILLON TIMES. I love dialogue so much it’s my favorite thing to write. Millennia gate is practically all dialogue anyway lol.

i’ll make the full timeline in a separate post, but i’ll sum up stuff real quick here. onyx was in love with trahearne, tragically that didn’t work out cuz he died rip. she’s real sad for a while, so she ignores the beginnings of some feelings for braham and caithe. after kralk, she and canach have a brief and casual fling, and then onyx ends up falling for jayrim while hanging out in elona. they eventually have to split up, especially with onyx having to leave elona and jayrim wanting/having to stay. during ibs, onyx’s old crush on braham pretty much punches her in the face. when he becomes primordus’ champ, onyx is SUPER worried about him. when she finds him alive after the fight, she gets rly emotional, like telling him how much she cares about him and stuff. she knows her feelings are more than a lil crush now, but refrains from making a move bc braham needs some time to recover (both physically and emotionally). in eod, caith and onyx have some real cute moments as aurene’s moms, i think jayrim pops up again with the corsairs here, and i really like the idea of onyx asking out braham after the engagement party. the big issue now though, is that i feel like caithe and onyx should have started dating after onyx and jayrim dated, but before onyx has her big Feelings Epiphany with braham at the end of ibs. that basically just leaves me with ibs as the timeframe, which is rough bc i don’t think caithe shows up during ibs at all?

ok. so. i’ve thought of two options rn. one: onyx meets up with caithe after leaving elona, and that’s when they start dating. two: they spend time together in the eye of the north and end up dating

option one works, but i feel like onyx would have left elona bc of the start of ibs? like she leaves because she has to go to the charr rally thing. i guess maybe she could’ve still had time to swing by the grove and hang out with caithe? but idk. i could just make up some other reason that onyx had to leave, like maybe her family or something? ok, that has some promise!

option two feels a bit more possible to me, but i’m also not super sure how much caithe was at eotn during ibs. also, there was a lot of war stuff happening so idk if they would’ve had time for dating?

ok i’m kinda leaning towards option one now… like, onyx gets contacted by her family that they need her to come back for like a wedding, or to celebrate an achievement of one of her siblings? one’s trying to be a minister, one’s in the seraph, and another one is a priest, so any one of them could have done something cool enough to warrant onyx going back to see them. (also i promise i didn’t forget jasper, around this point in time he’d too busy partying to do anything worth onyx coming home for lol) so with onyx going back, she says that while it’ll be a long time, she’ll come back to elona afterwards! or, if jayrim wanted to… she could come with? and jayrim tells her that this has been great, and she loves onyx and all, but she can’t stop being a corsair. and onyx can’t stop being the commander. either way, this isn’t gonna work out forever, so… maybe it’s best if they end it now. and so they agree to break up but they’re both sad about it :(

so then maybe onyx and caithe starts as a kind of rebound thing? like they run into each other, and start hanging out. and hm! she’s feeling some things! onyx thinks back to their talks together as they took care of bb aurene, and now that she thinks about it, she might have had some feelings for caithe at the time? and these current weird feelings feel a lot like those?? wait has she been kinda in love with caithe this whole time??? and then they start dating :3c

also, i think onyx and caithe would talk about braham during or after ibs? bc like, i want onyx to be kinda freaking out over her feelings for braham, but i don’t want her to be kind of cheating on caithe :/ so maybe they have a convo early on about like, possibly being a poly/open relationship? i could see onyx thinking about this since she just had that whole thing with jayrim, so maybe at the time she’d be kinda hoping to get back together someday? either way, i feel like caithe would be pretty open to it, cuz i’m sure sylvari aren’t that monogamous. i feel like caithe would just want onyx to run it by her before she adds somebody yknow? and she’d run it by onyx if she liked anyone! tho i don’t think she would? i think caithe wouldn’t really be looking for another partner. like, i think caithe would like a monogamous relationship, but she’s also ok with a poly one, especially if they keep up good communication and that onyx doesn’t like, forget about her or something. yeah. i think that the idea they’d have for their relationship at first is that caith would be dating onyx, who would also be dating braham, and then also jayrim. but then caithe and jayrim would start dating eventually too :)

OH ALSO!!! i could always add yao…. bc im Love Them. and i could see them dating onyx and braham… oohhhhhhh that’s so cuteeeee….. lol and then the polycule is two triangles, which is kinda fun!

ok tldr ig. the polycule is eventually gonna be this: caithe is dating jayrim and onyx, who are dating too, and onyx is also dating braham and yao, who also are dating too :3c here is a diagram
