Hey DC fans! Do you know of a comics story that is completely off the wall, hard to believe, or possibly even batshit (no pun intended) crazy? Is there a story arc, a series of events, or even just a scene that would boggle the minds of non comics fans if they only knew? Have you ever found yourself reading a comic and just plain going "WTF"? If so, then this tournament is for you!

Submit the weirdest, most shocking, wackiest or unbelievable events from DC comics and let's find out which one takes the cake!

Rules

Has to be related to a published work by DC or one of its imprints

Can range anywhere between a single scene to a full story arc. It could even be some meta about the writers or publication history as long as it's based on facts (ie not fan speculation).

It can be something silly, disturbing, tone deaf, miraculous, idiotic, etc. Sky's the limit as long as it follows the other rules and it leaves people surprised that it really happened!

Note: Please do your best to avoid events where the wtf aspect is entirely due to mischaracterization. We've already done "they would not fucking say that", so even though this one's similar, try to shoot for the unbelievable-factor.

Once submissions are closed and the posts go up, put your propaganda in reblogs so it's easy for others to find.

Submissions will be open for two weeks, so that should give you plenty of time to research. If you'd like to do more than one submission, feel free.

And please consider reblogging this post to help gather interest. I'd really love to see what people come up with for this one!

Are you tired of this "gay representation" constantly being shoved at us in comics? Do you think your fave really could have stayed straight and there really was no need to make them queer? Do you HATE when the woke liberals take over our precious comic books with their woke liberal agendas?

Well good news: I have the ear of someone veeeery high up at DC comics, and they have told me that the winner of THIS poll will be put BACK in the closet this pride month!

i'm still thinking about this poll and, while the responses are all incredibly interesting i think the question is phrased in such a way that no one is really responding to the inquiry being posed... so with that being said:

in case it remains unclear, generally this refers to when someone takes a binary gendered character and portrays them as the other binary gender (ie a cis man as a cis woman or vice versa). this could be either due to an AU (like DC elseworlds or Marvel's different timelines) or because a character is physically transformed in some way. this is NOT referring to trans headcanons.

NICHE COMICS TOURNAMENT: SUBMISSIONS CLOSED

Here, your favorite unknown superheros will compete in a bracket from the coveted title of Most Underrated Superhero of 2024. Submissions ARE CLOSED, but feel free to send asks or submit propaganda or gush about your candidates before and after polls go up!

RULES: We'll be accepting characters based off both appearances and popularity, if anyone is too popular they wont get in- but if they have less appearance, they have a much higher chance.

We will accept both DC and Marvel characters! However, if they have a live action adaptation they will probably be automatically disqualified.

Legacy characters will be accepted (ex: Lin Lie as Iron Fist), but again, in many cases they may be too well known.

feel free to submit villains/assassins/whatever as well as characters without powers, but no civilians please!

The tournament to see who the Ultimate Divorced Bisexual is (according to tumblr).

- This is for fun! So don't take it too seriously and BE NICE.

- characters do not have to be canonically bisexual or divorced, headcanons are accepted.

- I don't know every character/piece of media ever and any characters that were submitted have at least been entered into the preliminaries, but if any are particularly controversial please tell me, I don't want to be dealing with discourse if I can help it

- I will be unbiased on the posts containing polls and posting submitted propaganda with minimal comment however I will not be unbiased in other posts

The Coin “Boss” (Blaseball)

The Coin is the physical embodiment of capitalism. She was a sentient coin who implemented many new rules upon Internet League Blaseball, and eventually suffered deicide at the hands of over a dozen Blaseball teams that rushed the mound. She served as the antagonist for seasons 12-24 of the Beta, also known as the Expansion Era. After the players killed the Shelled One, she took over as the new boss for Internet League Blaseball (distinct from the commissioner, who was Parker MacMillan III, IIII, or IIIII, depending on what era it was). She pushed Internet League Blaseball into a new era of peace and prosperity, with a focus on profits. A number of these resulted in expansions of the snacks, and one of the most controversial was the decision to vault players, locking them away from our plane of existence or understanding. She later introduced Consumers, which looked suspiciously like sharks. As teams became weighed down by their players' Soulscreams, they were more likely to be attacked, resulting in players having their stats reduced. Chorby Soul was perhaps the biggest victim of this, being attacked by consumers over 100 times and being incinerated three separate times. In the 24th and final season of the Expansion Era, a black hole opened and began swallowing teams. However, many teams banded together to charge the mound and commit deicide on The Coin. "There is no blood, because there is no guilt." - The Garages, Deicide.

Announcing our next tournament...

The DC Comics Body Swap Brawl!

The concept is simple! Characters enter the brawl, they are then randomly body swapped with each other, and finally they're placed on small teams where they'll have to work together while navigating their new physical forms. Which team will be left standing in this single-elimination tournament fight? Submit your favorite DC heroes or villains and find out!

Update: Entries closed as of March 16

The entry form will be open for as long as needed to build the teams, with a maximum of 48 character slots. Space is limited, so get yours in sooner rather than later! We'll have an update when we're close to our quota as a reminder.

Questions in the form will be used to create character profiles and team rosters for quick reference. The information submitted doesn't have to cover every single detail of a character, just the main points they're known for.

The Body Swap

When a character is body swapped, they will be referred to by the name of the person whose psyche is in the body. For example, the screenshot above is of Lex Luthor even though he's in Flash's body. Characters retain all their memories, personality and mental skills, but they gain the physical traits of the body they're in. Sometimes this is a benefit and sometimes it's not!

The Brawl

On teams of three, characters will have to work together to KO all members of the other team using their new, unique set of traits. Each round will take place in a different setting, which may or may not be to a character's advantage. Will they get along with their teammates? Will they tactically beat their opponents? Will they even be able to function in their new bodies??

This means you as the voters must debate who will win and why. Give compelling arguments about how the fight would go down, and sway others to vote accordingly. Keep all discussion in reblogs, tags or comments so everyone can find the info easily.

An initial post will come out a few days prior to each poll, which will then be added as a reblog. This should give people time to mull things over before voting. And be sure to look at the notes before voting yourself! You never know what kind of a-ha moments someone else might come up with!

best female villain tournament!

SEASON 2

RULES:

- Only submit the same character once

- Multiple submissions with different characters are fine!

- Matchups will be posted as soon as I have enough submissions and will include the most submitted characters

-Resubmissions are fine as long as they weren’t on the tourney last time

- Please be as detailed as possible

I had issues on my end with some technicalities and media’s. eg a lot of characters from the hatchetfield musicals by team starkid were just submitted as hatchetfield which made it harder to search for them to identify them and get pictures etc. If those and similar fandoms could be submitted with what musical etc they’re from that would be great :)

Those who sent submissions through my askbox will be getting submitted by me unless it was off anon(because you’ll be getting a notification)
