I took an superhero character sorter thing because I was really bored. I don't know if it was all that accurate, but it was alright. My top 2 were mostly correct (given the choices they provided), and my bottom few were also largely correct. I would share the images, but there's two of them and they'd show up out of order, bugging me. So instead I'll tell you the highlights:
My two favorite characters according to the sorter were Cyclops and The Hulk (Hulk #1, Cyclops #2). This makes some sense, as I think I can relate to both these characters in some ways. Also, I do like both of these characters, so it tracks. If they had had characters like Doctor Strange on the list, I'm betting he'd be high on my list too. Kind of shocked Professor X and Magneto weren't higher, considering I like both of them (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were the perfect choices for them, and I won't budge on that). Loki was pretty high on the list too, and I get that one. Even in the Magnus Chase books where Loki was a villian I loved reading about him.
Now, as for the characters I didn't like, Wolverine and Spiderman were close to the bottom. And I've explained why I don't like Spiderman that much (I have a recent post about it, I think. But I'll repost it for those who missed it), but I haven't really talked about Wolverine much. But I don't love Wolverine. Despite being Canadian (and I guess thankful for the Canadian representation), I never have loved Wolverine that much. He's just not my type of character. I don't like the edgy, brooding bad boy types. They're nothing like me irl (perhaps besides my anger issues), so I have no real tangible connection to them. Besides, I hate the dark edgy types of stories. So Wolverine isn't at all my cup of tea. He embodies a lot of character archetypes that I don't like.
