Mommy… Master List
Requests & Prompt-List
Warnings: angst, fluff, crying, implied exhaustion, light alcohol consumption, unhappy endings, etc.
Enjoy (;
Liz had given you a call earlier today and given you a heads up of what had gone down today.
You were anxious, biting your lip and nails, and fidgeting like crazy as you waited for Casey to come home. Finally, the door to your shared apartment opened. It creaked open, Casey entered the hallway, and then it creaked shut.
You were in the kitchen, already lightly nursing a glass of wine, standing behind the kitchen island, resting on the island for stability.
Hell, after what Liz has told you, you were sure you would both need the alcohol tonight…
Casey finally came into the kitchen, blazer and shoes still on and case in hand. He stopped at the entrance of the kitchen, froze right on spot.
“Hey Baby…” you gently spoke, as you came around the island, placing the glass down, and coming up to the redhead.
You placed your hands on her side and cheek, while Casey stood frozen still.
“H-hi…” she breathed out.
You looked into her eyes, they were filled with pain and agony. It broke your heart. You pulled your forehead against hers. Casey sighed a little in relief at your direct touch
“Case…” you whispered, “Liz called”
At your words, Casey pulled her head up and stepped back lightly. Suddenly, her briefcase slipped from her fingers and the contents scattered on the ground.
Her eyes began to a swell and her lips began to tremble.
“W-what…?” Casey choked out.
Your heart was being ripped to shreds now. You hated seeing the love of your life in this much pain.
“I talked to Liz. She told me… what happened, about you and the bar…” you softly spoke.
You saw the lump in her throat as Casey swallowed, and as she tried to suppress her tears.
“I’m— I’m a failure” Casey choked out, before she began uncontrollably sobbing.
You were quick to pull her into your embrace, cradling her form with all the love you could muster. Casey immediately melted into your touch, wrapping her hands around you. She instinctively buried her face in the crook of your neck.
“No no no, baby… you’re not a failure.” You whispered, comforting the woman.
“Y-yes I am…!” Casey croaked, in between sobs.
Tears were streaming down the redheads face and onto your shoulder and neck. But you didn’t mind.
“No Case…” you sighed, “You made a mistake… everyone does… and the committee will see that.” You whispered.
You got more uncontrollable sobs in response. You rubbed and caressed Casey in every place you could reach, and you could feel Casey starting to slowly calm, as you let her get it out.
“That’s it. good girl. Get it all out…” you comforted her gently, “How about a bath, hmmm baby…?”
Casey sniffled and nodded slowly into your shoulder. You smiled lightly and nodded, slowly and gently leading Case to your shared bathroom.
You turned the water on.
Then you slowly got her undressed, as well as yourself. Casey wasn’t sobbing uncontrollably anymore, but tears were still rolling off her cheeks and she was still sniffling. You lent her a hand to get into the half-filled tub, joining her promptly after.
Casey was quick to snuggle up to your naked frame, starting to cry again into your chest this time. You played with her hair lightly, gently reassuring her that it was going to be okay and that she was doing good.
Eventually, Casey’s sounds had faded and she started pawing at you.
“Hmmmm Case, what’s up…? Use your words for me, sweet girl…” you coaxed the redhead.
Casey blushed a little.
“Mm hungry…” she murmured.
“Makes sense. Good thing I made lasagna.” You hummed and nodded.
At this, Casey perked up. For a moment, her eyes weren’t dismal, they were hope-filled. But they soon returned to their saddened state.
You then helped Case out of the tub, and handed her a towel to dry off. You both got dressed in your pjs, before heading to the kitchen. You both sat down and you served the food.
Afterwards, you carried a now tired and cried out Casey to your shared bedroom. She immediately snuggled up as the little spoon in bed with you.
“Get some sleep, Case, that’s it… It’s all gonna be okay… we’ll fight this together… but not today. Tomorrow…” you softly spoke.
“Mhmmm… thank you, baby…” Casey murmured, “Don’t know how I got so lucky to be with you…”
“You? I’m the one who’s lucky… luckiest wife alive.” You chuckled.
And before you knew it, she was dozing off, with those little snores you always found so adorable…

Panic! At the DA's Office
Tumblr media
Casey Novak x fem!reader Warnings: suicidal ideation, mental health struggle, anxiety/depression, panic attack, established relationship, fluff forever, some explicit language Word count: 2k
Summary: You're supposed to be meeting your girlfriend, Casey, for lunch, but prepping for the bar exam has you in an anxious spiral. You try to hide it, but it's hard to pretend you're okay when you're with Casey.
You stood on the subway platform, greasy Shake Shack takeout bags tucked under your arm. You'd told Casey you'd bring her lunch, and you were a woman of your word. Even though the bar exam was two weeks away. Even though you'd written so many practice essays you'd had to get a wrist splint for the cramps. Even though you were practically drowning in information about constitutional law, civil procedure, torts, contracts. You were exhausted from studying, and it felt like it was all for nothing. The more you studied, the more things seemed to get jumbled up in your mind. The more you'd stare at the page and the words would stare back, shifting and writhing until they meant nothing.
With each practice test, you felt less confident. As the day of the exam got closer and closer, your anxiety grew and grew. And you were so good at hiding it. You had to be good at it, or else how would you go on? How would the world keep on spinning, and you with it? Sometimes you wished it wouldn't. Not forever, not for always. You just wished that, for a little while, everything would stop. That just for a little while, no one would need or expect anything from you and you could just be. Or not be, maybe.
As you stood on the platform, waiting for the subway that would take you to the DA's office and your girlfriend you thought, briefly–as you sometimes did at your lowest–how easy it would be to jump. It would be so easy, so fast. But you had the warm food in your hands. You had Casey's milkshake. She loved milkshakes. And she would be so sad. It was always the thought of Casey's heartbreak that stopped you. Or imagining your dad crying. Imagining your parents having to tell your siblings what had happened.
You felt the rush of the subway as it sped past you and exhaled deeply. The moment was over. At least for now. You took a seat and did your best to steel yourself to see Casey. She was excellent at reading you, and you needed to be unreadable today. The last thing you wanted to do was worry her.
You walked the last bit of your journey in the freezing cold, appreciating the way the wind stung your eyes. It brought you out of yourself.
You saw Casey through the window before she saw you, and your heart surged. Just seeing her made you feel better. Not all the way better, but at least a little better. You knocked at her open door, and the look on her face when she saw you made your heart soar.
"Y/N!" she called, waving you in and shutting a notebook.
You were quiet. You didn't trust yourself to speak, afraid you might start crying. The downside of feeling so safe with Casey was that your usual ability to wall up your emotions was significantly impaired with her. You leaned down to kiss her quickly, and she wrapped her arms around your waist, burying her face in your chest.
"This case is killing me," she said as you pulled up a chair, divvying up the food. "I mean, the evidence they've given me is absolute shit. It's always fucking Stabler jumping the gun, and now I have to clean it up. Typical white man. So I think I'm gonna try..."
You let Casey ramble, grateful to hear her voice, to hear about her day, to have the excuse of food in your mouth to simply nod absentmindedly. But you couldn't manage to eat much, mostly pushing ketchup around with your fries and trying to white-knuckle through the panic rising in your chest. Your heart pumped faster and faster, and you were trying so hard to breathe normally, even though you felt like you were suffocating.
"Y/N?" Casey said, snapping you out of it.
"What?" Your voice was shaky, and you avoided her eyes. If she saw your eyes, she'd know.
"I just asked how bar prep was going..." She looked you over, furrowing her eyebrows. "Are you okay?"
You needed to breathe before you could speak, but when you opened your mouth to try, your breath hitched, hiccuping and separating into hyperventilation.
"Y– yes," you replied, clearly not okay, as tears pricked at the corners of your eyes and your breath came in short gasps. It was as if all the anxiety of the last few days, all you'd bottled up and kept at bay, had come flooding in all at once, knocking the air out of you.
"Okay, well, that's obviously a lie," Casey observed, standing quickly to close the blinds and lock the door. She sighed as she sat back down, mentally beating herself up for not noticing that something was off when you came in.
"Come here, honey." She pulled your chair toward her, grabbing your clenched fists in her hands and forcing them flat.
You were rocking and hyperventilating at this point. Your heartbeat was so fast and loud it was almost all you could hear. If you hadn't had panic attacks before, you would have thought you were dying. You knew better: you were dying, but only on the inside.
Casey pressed her forehead to yours and breathed slowly, in and out, in and out.
"Breathe with me, sweetheart, come on," she said softly.
"I– I c-can't."
"Yes, you can, honey. Come on."
You took a big, shaky breath and let it out, coughing.
"That's it, baby, that's it. Just keep going. Just breathe."
After what felt like an eternity, your heartbeat started to slow. You paired your breathing with Casey's, shaking slightly. She ran her thumbs over your knuckles in rhythm with your breath, and you felt an icy calm settle over you, the same calm that comes after an adrenaline rush, all that hot terror seeping away.
You exhaled and lifted your head a bit, avoiding Casey's eyes.
"Sorry."
She shook her head, fixing your hair and wiping away that tears that lingered on the bottoms of your eyelids.
"Don't be sorry."
But you were. You were so sorry. Your panic attack might have subsided, but the sense of being a burden had only increased. You wanted to sit on Casey's lap. You wanted her arms around you. You wanted her to tell you that she loved you, that she needed you, that you weren't too much for her. But all of that felt like too much to ask for, so you just sat, arms wrapped around yourself.
"Will you tell me what's going on?" Casey asked gently.
You felt more tears coming and dashed them away.
"It's just everything," you said, the words spilling out in a flood. "I'm doing terrible on the practice exams, Casey. Terrible. I'm gonna fail the fucking bar exam, and then what!? What was it all even for? I just can't do it! I can't! Every time I sit down to study I feel like I'm gonna die, and I can't start because I'm too anxious, but then I don't study and I just get more anxious. I'm just– I'm not good enough!"
Your voice broke, and Casey's heart broke with it.
"I'm not good enough for you, and I– I don't want to do this. It's not worth it, I'm not worth it." You grasped your hair and groaned. "Sometimes I wish I wasn't even here. Today I even thought about jumping in front of the fucking subway. I'd never do it," you added, noticing Casey's alarm. "But it just... feels like it'd be easier for everyone, including me, if I wasn't around."
Your head was in your hands. You couldn't see it, but Casey looked devastated, her heart surging for you. She grabbed you up and pulled your body into hers until you were on her lap, her arms wrapped tightly around you.
"Oh, honey," she breathed, pressing her face into yours. "Please don't say things like that. Do you know how empty life would be if you weren't here?"
You shrugged your shoulders, sniffling
"Who would bring me milkshakes?"
You giggled.
"Who would sing loud with me in the car, huh? Who would make laugh so hard I snort?"
You smiled, moments with Casey flashing through your mind, some of the happiest moments of your life.
"Who would make me feel loved and safe and proud, if you weren't here?"
"Somebody would," you argued.
She cupped your face and looked you hard in the eyes. "No. Not like you do."
"You're just saying that."
"I'm not. I don't just say things, you know that," Casey reprimanded you. She placed small, warm kisses on your cheek, your forehead, your eyelids, the corner of your mouth, until you were laughing and squinting.
"You," she continued, "are generous and brave and kind and funny and sweet and so, so beautiful. And the world would be a lot darker without you in it."
Your chest buzzed with warmth, like stepping outside on an unexpectedly sunny day or coming downstairs on Christmas morning.
"I don't know about that," you protested, but Casey had successfully beaten back your blues. And she could tell.
"Well, my world would be anyway," she chuckled.
You placed a kiss on the corner of her mouth before returning to your seat, reaching for a french fry.
"Now you're hungry," Casey said, rolling her eyes.
You glanced at the clock. "I thought you had a meeting?"
"I do."
You froze, but Casey was quick to reassure you.
"It's okay! Not a big deal for me to be a few minutes late, I promise."
You relaxed, taking a sip of Casey's milkshake. She snatched the cup back.
"I thought I told you to get your own milkshake."
"Well, I just wanted a little bit!" you whined.
"That's what you always say, and you always drink half of mine."
You flashed her your most charming smile, and she sighed, handing you the cup. You tried not to look too smug as you sipped.
"Don't you have somewhere to be?" you said, dripping with sarcasm. "Probably can't take a milkshake to your fancy lawyer meeting."
"I do have somewhere to be, but I need you to do something for me before I go."
"Oh." You sat up a little straighter. "Okay. What?"
"I need you to call your therapist," she stated, staring at you pointedly.
"Case, I'm fi–"
"No, you're not," she cut you off. "If you're having thoughts like you said you were, you need to talk to her."
You sighed and nodded. "Okay. I'll call."
Casey didn't budge.
"Casey," you needled. "You can go. I will call."
She shrugged her shoulders and leaned back in her chair, stance wide, looking like a hot Wall Street businessman in her work suit. She could make you do anything when she looked like that, and she knew it.
"Fine." You picked up your phone, scrolled through the contacts, and found your therapist, flipping the screen around to show Casey the contact info before pressing the call button.
"Speaker," Casey commanded.
"You're fucking bossy, you know that?"
Your therapist didn't pick up–probably in a session–but you left a message.
"Hey, Carla, this is Y/N. Just kind of having a rough day... slash week slash time in general, and I was wondering if you could squeeze me in maybe earlier than my session next week? Like maybe..."
"TODAY," Casey whispered aggressively.
"...even today or tomorrow if you've got anything open. Thanks, bye."
You rolled your eyes. "Happy now?"
"Mmhm." Casey stood, picked up her briefcase, and bent to kiss you on the head. "I gotta run, but let me know what your therapist says, okay?"
"Okay," you agreed, suddenly feeling embarrassed again.
"Hey," she said, grabbing your chin and forcing you to look at her. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
She planted a firm kiss on your lips before opening the door.
"You can stay in here and work if you want. When I come back, we can work together."
"Okay," you said, already feeling better about an afternoon of studying. If Casey was there, it couldn't be too bad.
"I love you so much I'll even let you have the rest of my milkshake," she called back as she walked down the hallway.
You shook your head and took a sip, feeling better than you had in weeks.

gf!casey novak headcanons [2]
Tumblr media
part 1
sfw
she was the one to make the first move
she was so nervous to ask you out but a good pep talk from olivia and slight bullying session from alex finally pushed her to go through with it
overthinks a lot about her relationship with you because she thinks you deserve better
you always remind her she’s perfect for you but she’s just nervous sometimes 💔
she loves watching movies with you after a long or particularly stressful shift. she doesn’t enjoy the movies as much as she does clinging to you throughout them, though.
she always makes you choose the movie!! sometimes you can finally make her give in and choose one for once, but she’s just so determined to please you that she’ll end up picking one she knows you’ll enjoy
loves taking you out to fancy dinners
but also recognizes that it’s not completely your scene
she pays attention to you during these situations to see if you need to leave or take a break from the event <3
she lets you play your music in the car, even if it’s not the type she usually listens to or enjoys
she LOOOOVES showing you off!! she’s a bit protective at first ofc and kind of wanted to keep you her little secret but eventually she just couldn’t hide her obsession w you anymore
lots of non sexual intimacy like when you shower together and she cleans you <3
gets SUPER nervous any time something even seems slightly off with you because she needs to make sure you’re 100% okay all the time
defends you to the ends of the earth even if you’re wrong (she’ll let you know later and scold you when nobody else is around)
nsfw
tends to have a really high sex drive after closing a satisfying case
her sex drive plummets after a particularly hard or draining case tho
BUT sometimes after those hard and draining cases she’ll let you eat her out to calm her down and give her some relief <3
if you ever attend a court proceeding where she’s the prosecutor, she’ll make sure to show off during her close-ups
she loves ruffling your feathers when she knows you can’t do anything about it; when you’re at a restaurant, when you’re at the store, when you’re at the table next to her entire team…
everything she does is purposeful. even if it seems like she stuttered a bit during her “performance” or made a mistake, it’s always something she does to make you go insane or get more desperate— or just to make you impatient
MESSYYYYYYY when she eats you out. she loves basically destroying you with her tongue and getting as many orgasms out of you as possible. the sounds she makes when she’s eating you out >>>>>
she’s obsessed w the sounds your pussy makes when she’s eating you out; it’s part of why she’s so messy with it
she’ll take you out to nice events with super expensive outfits just so she can rip it off you later. she has the salary of an ADA; she can just buy you a new one :>
buys you expensive lingerie just to ruin it
again, she can just buy more
loves dressing you up in different pieces <3 you’re like her little sexy barbie doll
her hands are fucking insane we all know that… and she uses it to her advantage!!!! that little shit….
wears outfits that highlight her cleavage when you go out on expensive dates
teases you during the dates <3 especially when she leans forward to talk to you
loves taking care of you!!! sexually or just emotionally!!
always comes up with new things to try; she loves experimenting!! especially with you as her little test subject 🫣
could spend a whole day in bed with you, genuinely. the amount of times she’s almost ignored her work calls just to continue pleasing you is borderline truant.
loves being a service top <3 she doesn’t even need you to reciprocate because satisfying you gets her off
SOOO SWEET LIKE YEAH SHE CAN BE A HARD DOM SOMETIMES BUT DEEP DOWN SHE’S JUST A SOFT TEDDY BEAR WHO WANTS TO PLEASE YOU <333
AAAAAAH CASEY NOVAK JUST ONE CHANCE PLEASE 😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏

Heavy Hearts Ch 6
Tumblr media
Casey Novak x reader Warnings: language, that's about it. it's pure fluff. and an un-named guest star. If you're reading this, please let me know. even if it's on anon, because i feel like no one is...like im still gonna keep working on it,but like a girl could use some motivation lol
The next four months seemed to absolutely fly by, it felt like you and Casey had just returned from New York after Christmas yet you were already hunkered down studying for end of term exams. At the very least, you were thankful for the warming weather, able to spend more time outside, wandering across campus and through the city streets exploring more each day hand in hand. You also certainly weren’t complaining about getting to watch Casey play baseball once a week, happily cheering her on from the stands with your friends. Friends who were incredibly supportive and happy that the two of you had finally gotten together but would also constantly tease you over just how gross your love was (playfully and in good nature of course).
Studying sessions moved from your dorm or the library out to the quad, taking full advantage of the sunshine until it sank in the horizon. The longer days, the upcoming summer break had people in a lighter mood (even with exams coming up), laughter and smiles were prevalent everywhere, or at least it felt like it. Maybe it was just what you and Casey were feeling surrounded by your happy little cloud of love, one that grew larger and stronger with each day that passed. She was always so caring and soft with you, if you were struggling with an assignment or concept, she’d remind you to take a break, she knew just how overloaded your brain could get and knew just what to do to fix it. She would always bring treats to study sessions, making sure that she had your favourites for the extra hard days, and each weekend the two of you would celebrate with a nice dinner and lavish bottle of wine, cheers-ing to being one week closer to finishing the year.
When Casey was frustrated or getting stressed, you knew that you needed to get her to put the books down, change into some gym clothes and get her out of the dorm. You absolutely hated running, but you’d do it for her and had to admit, it did help clear your head. You’d sneak her into the batting cage, sitting in silence while you watched her, the bat cracking against the ball as she never missed a hit. If she refused either of those you simply shut her book, tugged her head into your lap and would turn on the tv, gently playing with her hair, scratching at her head until she was relaxed and calmed down. The two of you barely needed words to communicate at this point, it was more than easy enough to read each other and that just solidified everything even more.
Before you even knew it you were packing up your dorm rooms, setting stuff into storage and bringing what you needed over to New York.
*
You were so thankful and thrilled for the two weeks of exploring New York with Casey before you’d begun your internship. Summer in the city was a whole different ballgame than over Christmas. You spent as much time as possible outside, enjoying the warmth and sunshine, wandering through parks, walking along the river, getting as many snacks as possible from Little Eataly. Things were absolutely perfect and there was no doubting that both of you could very easily see this being your future.
Casey had taken you out for ice cream at one of her favourite spots, a mom and pop place tucked into a residential corner of the Upper West Side. It’d been raining the previous couple of days so you chose to explore the streets while eating rather than stay inside any longer. You had your arm linked with Casey’s, once your ice cream was finished you tossed it into a trashcan, your hand slipping into hers and she let out a happy hum, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. You wandered up and down a couple of streets lined with brownstones and happy family homes complete with large yards, open windows with laughter flowing from them, everything seeming very welcoming and open.
“I wanna live here.” You murmured, eyes lingering on one of the houses and Casey chuckled.
“You sure you don’t want a penthouse on the upper east side?”
You rolled your eyes as you scoffed, prodding her in the ribs and she winced away from you, “yeah I’m sure.” You laughed softly, leaning up to press a kiss to her cheek, “sure, they’re gorgeous but they’re like, too pristine, they don’t feel lived in. I feel like I’d constantly be cold in one. But these…” you gestured to the houses as the two of you continued to walk, “they feel more like home.”
“Well…” Casey stalled in her steps, turning you toward one of the brownstones, “this one’s an open house today.” She raised a brow in your direction and you giggled.
“Why? I mean, we’ve still got another two years before we’re done school.”
“So?” She shrugged, “doesn’t hurt to look.”
“I guess you’re right.” You laughed once again, following her up the sidewalk.
You were greeted by a real estate agent in the entry way who gave you the rundown, a brochure and a business card before you made your way deeper into the house. The entry way lead directly into a hallway with a large staircase heading upstairs on the right hand side. An office or sitting room sat off to the right and through a large archway on the left was the living room, more than enough space for a family to play games, have movie nights or finish up work. The dining room was semi connected, a large table, China cabinet and bar cart currently taking up the space, through a smaller archway was the kitchen. Spacious, new appliances and clearly renovated.
“Look at that yard.” You muttered and Casey wrapped around your back, pressing a kiss to the crook of you neck.
“You thinking dogs or kids?” She asked and your head tilted as you turned back to her.
“I… not sure.” You laughed softly, pausing to steal a kiss, “I guess I’ve never really thought about it. Kids I mean, because obviously yes to at least one dog.”
“Good.” She laughed, “you… don’t want to be a mom?”
“Considering the relationship with my own mother I guess I figured I’d suck at it.” You shrugged, “a dog is good enough for me, especially with the careers we both want. It’s not a deal breaker or anything but I’m leaning towards no.”
“For what it’s worth I think you’d make an exceptional mother.” Casey’s hand caressed at your cheek softly before she leant in to kiss you and your cheeks flushed.
“Well if we have a yard like this you’re the one teaching them baseball.”
“Them!?” She exclaimed, a teasing grin on her lips, “now there’s multiples?!”
“The dog needs to learn too.” You replied with a laugh, a glimmer in your eyes as you playfully shoved at her arm, “relax Case, it’s not like you can accidentally knock me up. Jobs, house,” you ticked them off on your fingers as you went, “then we re-route back to this when we’re settled and established bad asses.”
“Sounds perfect.” She kissed the tip of your nose, “but my leading question is; is there a limit on how many dogs?” She asked with a laugh, pulling another one from you.
**
Two weeks later and you were deep into your internship at a defence firm in Manhattan. You didn’t know much about anyone, just that the boss knew your dad, and you were trying to avoid everyone knowing that, keeping your head down and doing you work. So far it was running for coffee, lunch, or menial paperwork and honestly? You didn’t mind it at all. You had just enough time to slowly finish what you were doing while also keeping your ears and eyes open to see just how the legal world actually worked, able to pick up on what kind of things would help you through your next two years at school and in the real world once you’d passed the bar. You were always the willing one to take subpoenas, motions or suppressions over to the courthouse or DA’s office, knowing the field trip would likely give you more of an insight into an actual courtroom. And you were always thankful for the afternoons one of the higher ups would let you off a bit early, wanting a third set of eyes in the courtroom to take notes, watch their arguments and the like. It gave you the tiniest bit of leg up to know what kind of things to prepare for in a courtroom in the future, both on the exciting side and the reality of how boring it could get some days.
It was getting a little later in the day, you had been wrapping up a couple of lose ends on one of the attorney’s paperwork at your desk when you heard the sound of heels on the linoleum.
“Oh thank god one of you is still here.” The woman’s voice broke through the silence and you glanced up with a small smile. You couldn’t quite remember her name, you just remembered someone mentioning she was one of the newer attorneys with the firm, though just by the way she dressed and carried herself you knew she had the confidence and competency to run circles around some of the older ones.
“What can I help with?”
“Can you run these over to the Brooklyn DA? Office two eighty seven.” She pulled out a couple of files, gently dropping them down onto your desk.
“Brooklyn? Oh…” you trailed off, shaking your mouse to wake up your computer screen and the older woman chuckled.
“Darling, I know it may seem like you’ll burst into flames if you step out of Manhattan, but I assure you, you won’t.”
“Oh,” you laughed, “no, I just… I’m not from the city, I’m just here for summer. I’ll just have to search the subway route.”
“Oh sweetheart.” She chuckled, “fuck the subway. Give me five minutes, I’ve got a service. I’ll have a car waiting for you and let them know to take you home afterwards.”
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely.” She practically smirked, her eyes flicking down your body quickly, “I recognize designer when I see it, can’t have Manolo’s slumming it on the subway now, can we?”
She shot you a wink and a grin before swiftly vanishing from the office and you couldn’t help but laugh lightly. At least you fashion sense wasn’t getting wasted this summer, she definitely had good taste that was for sure. Since the firm was basically empty you checked in with the head to confirm that this would be your last task of the day and were relieved when it was, collecting your stuff and finding the car waiting on the curb.
The trip over to Brooklyn turned out to be relatively uneventful, the DA’s building over there nearly as organized as Manhattan’s. You chatted with the lawyer’s assistant for a bit, a combination of gossip and getting to know as many people in the city as possible before you finally dropped off the documents for him and jumped back into the car, spieling off Casey’s address to the driver.
*
Casey was coming back from a last minute bodega trip, about halfway up the sidewalk when the town car pulled up to the curb. She paused, glancing back to it and somehow was a little unsurprised when you stepped out of it, moving toward her.
“Well look at you embracing the rich defence attorney life style.” She teased.
“Oh shut up.” You rolled your eyes, smacking her arm when you got close enough to reach her. Her laugh still echoing on her lips she leant in, kissing you gently in greeting.
“I’m sure you’ll be invited to all the summer yacht parties in no time.”
“Stop.” You said in half seriousness, halfway up the steps before you stalled, turning back to her, “actually, I’m pretty sure I have heard something about her having a yacht.”
“Her?” Casey raised a brow, saying a quick thank you when you grabbed the shopping out of her hands so she could unlock the front door, letting both of you into the house.
“Can’t remember her name.” You replied with a huff, kicking off your shoes and tugging at your blazer, dropping your bag on the table in the entry, “clearly rich, she’s not that much older than us, like, less than ten years probably?”
“What does she practice?”
“Criminal defense. She’s the newest at the firm but according to the rumour circuit she transferred from prosecution.”
“And now she’s offering you rides home? Should I be jealous?” She said with a grin, clearing teasing and you rolled your eyes again, following her into the kitchen.
“No.” You scoffed, “she sent me out to Brooklyn for something and when I said I hadn’t left Manhattan yet she offered the car to make sure I didn’t get lost.”
Casey barked out a huge laugh at that, the corners of her eyes crinkling and you shot her a playful scowl. She simply leant in, kissing your cheek gently,
“I’m glad you’ve found your people then. And we’ll take you on a little subway tour this weekend to make sure you know your way around. That way I won’t need to play tour guide all next summer if you don’t keep up with your fancy new defence friends.”
“I lowkey hate you right now.” You let out a sigh, “dinner here or did you have plans?”
“Dad wanted to barbeque.” She nodded toward the kitchen facing the backyard and you could see that her parents were set up out there already, she picked up the bodega bag “just sent me out for reinforcements.”
“Sounds delicious. I’m gonna go change.” You kissed her quickly before jogging up the stairs to strip out of your skirt suit, opting for some much more comfortable and more summer appropriate.
Returning back downstairs you swiped a couple of ciders from the fridge, not bothering with shoes as you wandered down the back steps into the yard, greeting the Novak’s with a bright smile. Casey stole one of the ciders from you, cracking it while you dropped down onto the patio furniture beside her, her hand instantly finding its home on the bare skin of your thigh under the table.
“Heard you had a nice little tour of Brooklyn.” Grace greeted with a smile and you rolled your eyes, swatting in Casey’s direction.
“Yup.”
“Thoughts?”
“Looked nice.”
“We can explore more this weekend.” Casey assured you with a soft squeeze to your thigh, “hit up the hot spots.”
“Y/N, what kind of cheese do you want on yours?” Benjamin asked from the grill, “we’ve got American, marble or Swiss.”
“Marble please.”
After adding the preferred burger toppings he shut the grill momentarily to help the cheese melt and Grace pulled the tinfoil off the tops of other plates and bowls. Revealing a fresh garden salad, grilled corn on the cob, and jacket potatoes with a plethora of toppings and dressings to go with it. The go ahead was heard to start plating things up and a moment later Ben was placing the appropriate burgers down onto the appropriate buns.
“You are enjoying the internship though, right?” He asked as he took his seat and you nodded.
“Yeah. I mean, it’s experience in the field I’m going to be working in so no matter what it’s a benefit, right?”
“Do you think you’ll do it again next summer? Or go back to DC?” Grace asked and you did your best not to snort.
“I might do it again, a few of the lawyers are really good and decently nice and there’s no way I’m going back to DC unless I absolutely have to.”
“Well you’ll always have a place to stay when you’re in the city.” She said with a soft smile.
“Are you sure? I mean I don’t want to intrude…”
“Are you kidding?” Casey asked with a laugh, “I’ve basically already told them you’re coming for Christmas again next year, the list of things to do is already started.”
“Really?” You looked toward her with widened eyes, watching the way hers sparkled in the sun as she grinned back at you.
“You seriously think I wouldn’t want to spend another holiday with you?” She asked and you blushed, ducking your gaze as she squeezed at your arm.
“That internship isn’t going to collide with the Hampton’s trip is it?” Benjamin asked and you shook you head.
“I double checked the dates Casey gave me before I accepted, made sure to get some wiggle room in there, plus I wanted a couple of weeks between it and going back to school, give my brain a break.”
“Do your parents expect to see you before the semester starts?” Grace asked.
“I mean they’d like me to make an appearance but everything I need is either with me here or in storage in Cambridge so there’s no need. They’re generally okay with me having the freedom.” You shrugged, “as long as I’m behaving, they don’t really care.”
“Well their loss is our gain.” Ben smiled across the table at you and you genuinely felt your heart warm.
Whether you had been romantically involved with Casey or not, you knew that the Novak’s would have gratefully accepted you into their home. It didn’t matter if that was for the week over Christmas, the three months over summer or whenever you needed a friendly, safe space to stay, their door would always be open. As you glanced around the table that evening, the sun finally starting to dip toward the horizon, you knew that you were exactly where you were meant to be, and you couldn’t wait for what your future with Casey held. You gave her hand a slightly tighter squeeze on the table top and she looked to you with nothing but pure love and adoration in her eyes, knowing exactly what you were saying without having to actually say it.

I have an idea for a reader and Olivia Benson if you’re happy to write it. 2am Olivia gets a frantic call from reader, she’s hyperventilating and her words are coherent. Olivia manages to get out of the reader that she’s home and rushes over. As the approaches her apartment she notices the front door ajar and inside is a complete mess. She hears reader sobbing in her room, and notices she’s naked and bruised and scratched. Reader confesses her ex forced her way in and attacked her. Reader begins to space out lost in her emotions of insecurity and worthlessness, she unknowingly advances on Olivia and ends up kissing her.
thank you for your request! i hope you enjoy 💗

Olivia Benson x Fem!Reader (tho r isn't described with any pronouns)
warnings: implied assault/rape (up to interpretation), typical SVU themes, poorly written fluff, not proofread
word count: ~1314 (longest one on my page so far yippie!!)
a/n: i love writing for my svu girls! there's definitely not enough fics of any of them, and my requests are open for them all :)
Olivia is jolted away by the sound of her phone ringing. she rubs her eyes as she groans, looking at the alarm clock on her nightstand.
2:43 am.
she sighs as she grabs her phone, her eyes straining at the brightness as she turns it on. the call had already ended, but she decided to check to see if it was important or not.
she frowns when she notices you’ve called more than once. she quickly clicks the ‘call back’ button, pulling the phone up to her ear as she adjusts her position in her bed.
she has an unsettling feeling forming in her chest as the phone continues to ring. finally you pick up the phone.
“y/n?” Olivia’s voice crackles through the phone.
the glass from your shattered phone stabs through your hand as you grip it tightly, pressing it against your face. you breathe heavily, unable to form any words as you can feel yourself slipping out of consciousness.
“hello? y/n?” Olivia repeats your name, worry filling her at the sound of your labored breathing. “can you tell me where you are, honey?”
suddenly the line goes dead, a sharp ‘beep’ can be heard on both sides.
“y/n?” Olivia says panicked as she tears the phone from her ear, she quickly tries to call you again, pulling her phone away to stare at it when it goes straight to voicemail.
the brunette swiftly pulls herself from her bed, hurriedly putting shoes on and grabbing her keys as she attempts to call you again. she rushes out the door of her apartment, not even bothering to change from her sleepwear.
the entire car ride is full of dread and worry, she had a quick phone call with Fin while in the car. she needed to make sure that someone knew where she was going, in case something goes down or she needs back up.
she sloppily parks in front of your apartment building, quickly rushing out of the car and into the building. she practically runs up to your apartment.
Olivia can feel her heart drop into her stomach as she nears your door, noticing it’s open.
“y/n?” she calls, pushing the door open. “oh my god.” she stands in the doorway in a state of sudden shock, everything was destroyed. there were spilled flowers on the ground by the entrance, couch cushions thrown off the couch, picture frames and trinkets spread over the floor by the kitchen island.
she continues into your apartment, taking notice of the shattered glass and blood on the kitchen floor. she freezes again when she hears the sound of heavy breathing. the brunette walks slowly towards the sound.
“oh my god, y/n!” Olivia breathes as your barely conscious body comes into view.
you were laying on your kitchen floor, slouched over against the cabinets, your body cut and bruised, your shirt is missing and your pajama shorts are ripped.
Olivia rushes over to you, dropping onto her knees to cup your cheeks, “hey- hey open your eyes for me.” she says, her voice uncharacteristically shaky.
you open your eyes ever so slightly, attempting to focus on the brunette woman in front of you.
“’livia..” you mumble, your voice raspy and you're quickly thrown into a coughing fit, blood flying from your mouth.
Olivia takes a sharp intake of breath, “i’m going to get help, okay? you’ll be okay.” she mumbles, whipping her phone from her coat pocket, calling Fin to tell him she needs paramedics at your apartment. as she’s speaking on the phone she peels her coat off of herself, wrapping it around your body in an attempt to cover up your near bare body.
she sets her phone down as the call ends. “help is on the way.. can you tell me what happened, sweetheart?” Olivia whispers as she strokes your hair gently, glancing towards the window to see if she could see the lights of the ambulance approaching.
you look up at her with tear filled eyes, “she got me, ‘livia.. she got me.” you whisper, your voice cracking as the tears begin streaming down your cheeks.
Olivia didn’t need to ask to know who you were talking about, she knows it’s Max, your ex girlfriend. since the time she began getting close to you, she had always promised to protect you from your abusive ex girlfriend.
the brunette’s eyes search over your face, “we’ll get her.. okay? what did she do to you?” you drop your head back onto the cabinet, your eyes closing slowly, “hey- hey no, keep your eyes open, honey.”
you force your eyes open, trying, and failing, to focus on Olivia, “’m sleepy..” i mumble, my eyes drooping again.
“come on, y/n, stay awake for me..” her voice is panicked as she pats your cheek, you drift into unconsciousness.
Olivia stands up as she hears footsteps approaching, hearing the sound of the ambulance sirens outside of the building. the brunette rushes towards the ajar front door, stepping out to wave the paramedics into the apartment and showing them where you lay on the floor.
the next few hours are excruciating for Olivia, you had to get surgery in order to remove the shattered vase pieces from your back, and you’re now laying unconscious in your hospital bed.
Olivia is seated next to the head of the bed, no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t fall back asleep, she needed you to be okay.
“liv?” you mumble, your voice hoarse for a number of reasons. your head is pressed against the bed as you squint your eyes over at the older woman sitting beside you.
your sudden voice causes her to jump slightly, her eyes shooting from the book she was reading to you. “y/n.” she breathes as she stands up, leaving the book on the chair as she leans over you.
you grin up at her, “hey, ‘livia.”
“hi,” she whispers, running her fingers through your bangs as she stares down at you. “how're you feeling?”
you hum, shrugging your shoulders but the movement makes you wince, “i dunno.. did you get her?” as soon as the brunette frowns you know, she's still out there.
the room goes silent all except for the buzz of the lights and the slow beeping of the heart monitor.
“thank you.” it comes out as a whisper, but it confuses her nonetheless.
she scrunches her eyebrows in confusion as her eyes meet yours once more. “for what?”
it's silent for a moment before you respond, “for answering my call.. i suppose.” you gaze up at her.
a smile tugs at the brunette's lips, “i'll always answer when you call me.” she says gently “no matter the time, or the day, or how i feel..”
you giggle, “even if you hate me?”
her smile falls, but only slightly, “oh, y/n.. i could never hate you.” she whispers, her hand cupping your cheek.
you can feel your cheeks heat up slightly, “oh.” you meet her eyes again before your gaze drops to her lips. slowly you lean in before eventually you're pressing your lips to hers in a tender kiss.
once you realize what you’ve done you pull away, eyes wide.
it’s silent.
your eyes begin filling with tears, “liv-” before you can say anything, Olivia leans in, kissing you. you quickly reciprocate the kiss. when you both pull away she is smiling at you, her eyes soft and her feelings towards you are evident in them.
“i’ve wanted to do that for a while..” she whispers, her thumb gently rubbing your cheek bone.
“yeah?” you chuckle, the tears that were in your eyes had now run down your cheeks, being quickly rubbed away by the brunette.
“mhmm,” Olivia hums, a loving smile on her face as she holds the gentle eye contact with you.

I read a post where it says about someone scoffing whenever somebody told him that he liked the girl and yet he looks at her first just to see if she was also laughing when someone cracks a joke, and an idea just came to my mind. Enjoy! xx
The first time Casey met Alex, she felt inferior next to her. Casey doesn’t fold, she never cowers— but with Alex, she, well, kind of did.
But, who doesn’t, right? It is THE great Alexandra Cabot. Plus, she was her predecessor.
“ You know, We’ve gone over all my questions. I think you’re ready, ” Casey uttered.
As if on instincts, Alex asked “ Are you? ” and if Casey was offended, she did great hiding it, because she just gave Alex an empathetic look, instead.
It was too late when Alex realized that she was below the belt but she couldn’t do anything about that so she just did what she knew was best to do. Apologize.
“ Casey, I’m sorry, that was out of line, ”
And Casey, being the most ever empathetic person that anyone she’ll encounter would ever meet, she showed Alex a reassuring smile, as if telling her that it’s okay, she understands.
“ It’s gotta be hard to be on that side of the desk, ” Casey uttered in which Alex agrees.
The first time Alex met Casey, she was taken aback just a little bit… Okay, fine, a LOT. She knew Casey, she heard about how great she was in homicide, and if there’s something Alex Cabot respects and looks up to so much— it is being great at what you do.
But, of course, she wouldn’t admit it. She’s THE Alexandra Cabot, after all.
But Casey is THE Casey Novak. Although different from the one that she used to know and the one that people who were working with her knew, it did not changed the fact that whichever unit you place Casey into, she will rise.
“ So, Casey Novak, ” Alex uttered, breaking the silence.
“ What about her? ” Olivia asked.
“ She was the one who replaced me. Is she even worth the position? ” Alex asked.
Olivia’s brows furrowed at that and her jaw tensed.
“ Casey’s good at what she does, in fact, she’s just as great as you were, if not better, ” she defended.
Alex’s shoulders relaxes a bit at that but the slight shock in her face didn’t passed Olivia’s eyes.
“ Wow. You’ve bonded with her, ” Alex stated.
Liv smirked as she nods her head. “ What are you now— jealous? ” she asks, teasing.
Alex’s jaw clenched as she fixes her eyeglasses. “ Oh, please. ”
The first time Olivia met Alex after the incident, Alex looked so lost. Before, she always shows up prepared, but that day, she wasn’t.
There really was a difference between being a victim and being the one defending the former; and that day, Alex was the victim.
So if she has the upper hand, she doesn’t have any idea.
“ When I was a prosecutor, I never went to court without a plan, ” Alex uttered, sighing.
Elliot give Alex an empathetic smile before replying “ you've never been the victim. ”
Alex just sighed at that. “ I should be trying the bastard who shot that little boy. ”
Elliot chuckles lightly as he shakes his head.
“ Casey would be. She knows what she’s doing, and she’s really, really great at it. You should trust her, ”
Alex blows out some air out of her mouth.
“ I do. It’s just that… ”
“ She took your job, I understand. If ever someone took after my position, I wouldn’t trust them to be as great as I am, too. ” Elliot reassured.
Alex was the one who gives respect to someone who does a very good job at what they do, but she wasn’t the person who trusts someone, especially if it’s her job that they would be doing.
Or she wasn’t the one who easily trusts, at least.
The first time Olivia met Casey, she finds her… pretty annoying.
But if Casey were anything, she wasn’t that. In contrast, she was very passionate, and compassionate— which each and everyone from the squad loved about her.
Especially the ice queen herself.
“ It looks like pharmaceuticals to me. It’s in the warrant, bag it. ”
“ Who the hell are you? ” Liv asked, sounding annoyed.
“ That’s our new ADA, ” Elliot answered instead. “ Casey Novak, Olivia Benson. Olivia, this is Casey Novak, ” he introduced the two with each other, gesturing them.
And Casey can be a bit cocky, too.
“ Do I know you? ” Casey asked.
“ Yeah, shortstop, cop's team, ” Elliot replied, gesturing Casey to come with him. “ Come here. ”
Casey smirked and squint her eyes. But nevertheless, she followed Elliot. “ Oh, right. Didn't recognize you when you weren't covered in my dust, ” she fires with a smug grin plastered on her face.
Elliot could only answer “ that's very good. ”
The second time Olivia met Alex, she seems disappointed. It’s as if she’s looking for something, expecting to find it, yet, she didn’t.
Well, she is.. looking… for someone.
“ Did you find it yet? ” Olivia asked Alex who’s obviously roaming her eyes around.
Alex stopped and looks at Liv. “ I don’t know what you’re talking about, ”
Liv chuckles. “ Okay. But you will never find her. Nor see her, not right now, at least, ” she uttered.
“ What happened? ” Alex asked, concern is evident in her voice.
“ Censure, ”
Alex felt her knees weakens. “ Oh, my, ”
The second time Liv met Casey, was the second time Alex has literally met her, too. It was after her censure. And for the first time in forever, Liv saw a glimpse of light in Alex’s eyes.
“ So, you’re back, ” Alex says, breaking the ice.
Casey give Alex a small smile as she nods her head.
“ It seems so, ” she then shrugged. “ I still have to prove myself, tho, ”
Alex wasn’t the one to smile wide. That’s why she had perfected this signature look of her: the half-smile-half-smirk that everyone knew.
But that day, Liv saw what her genuine smile is.
All because of Casey.
“ I wish you the best on that, then, ” Alex responds. “ Kick their ass, ” she added.
“ Thanks, Alex, ” Casey smiled sweetly. “ Have a safe trip on your flight to Congo, ” she added, tapping Alexandra’s shoulder.
“ Thank you. I’ll be going now, ”
Casey nods. “ Yeah, don’t let us take a hold of you for long, ” she replied, chuckling lightly.
The third time Casey and Alex met each other, they shared a case.
They always say that you couldn’t put fire and ice together because it wouldn’t just work. And, oh, boy, was it true.
Or so we thought.
Alex is an ice queen, and just like an ice, her moves were calm, careful, and calculated. Contrary to Casey, the fiery redhead, who was like a fire— hot, unpredictable, fierce. Two different attributes, but both were just as dangerous.
And so they clashed. Why wouldn’t they, fire is the opposite of ice. You can’t place a fire together with ice in a same room, because one of them will just always end up burning.
But, we were, gladly, proven wrong. As the popular saying goes by: opposite attracts.
“ What the hell is your problem? ” Casey asked, a little bit annoyed.
“ Your techniques, ” Alex answered nonchalantly.
Casey’s brows furrowed at that. “ What about them? ” she asked.
“ They’re.. kind of reckless, ” Alex uttered.
Casey squint her eyes then shakes her head. “ So I’ve been told, ”
“ Maybe tone it down a little bit and calculate your moves, instead? ” Alex suggested with a soft voice.
Casey just shakes her head eagerly, saying “ no way. I like it the way that I do, thank you very much, ”
Alex could only sigh at that.
Casey nibbled her bottom lip then heaves a sigh before opening her mouth to speak.
“ Alex, you have to trust me. You need to try to, at least, ”
Alex creases her forehead. “ I do trust you, ” she defended.
“ No, you don’t, ” Casey replied, shaking her head. “ I’m trying, really, to win this case the way you want it and yet you can’t see it. What you can only see is me, being reckless. I know I was, well, I still am. I got censured, for damn sake. But haven’t I proven myself enough again already? ” she then asks.
Alex winced when she saw pain in Casey’s eyes, then fixed her eyeglasses to help her compose herself.
“ I’m sorry, Case.. It’s not that I don’t trust you. It’s just that.. ”
“ What? ” Casey asks but Alex just kept mum.
For the very first time, Alex was speechless.
“ We’re both tired, we’ve been going through this case since the morning at it’s close to midnight now. Good night, Alex. I’ll just talk to you tomorrow, ” Casey then give Alex an understanding smile before she turned her back and make her way out of their shared office when she felt fingers wrapped around her arm.
“ Casey, wait, ”
Casey turns to face Alex again.
“ I’m sorry. I trust you. Okay, we’ll talk tomorrow. But, please, let me accompany you home? ” Alex pleaded with a hopeful smile.
Casey contemplated for a second but when she saw the way Alex was looking and smiling at her, how can she not say yes?
“ Okay, ” Casey said softly, nodding her head.
Alex’s smile grew bigger. “ Okay? ” she repeated. “ Okay, ” she then nods her haid. “ Just give me a second to fix my things, I’d be just quick— ”
“ Alex.. ” Casey held Alex’s hand to forearm to stop her. “ Hey, sweetie, stop. You don’t have to panic. Take your time, I’m not going anywhere, ” she then smiled sweetly which made Alex, too.
“ Okay… ”
“ Okay. ”
Everyone can see the chemistry that radiates off Casey and Alex, and Alex will always huff whenever someone will tease her about it, or she’d just hear someone mentioning it.
But every time the squad gets out together, and someone will crack a joke, her eyes will always find Casey in the room of people just to see if she was laughing, too. Every time Casey would be out of Alex’s sight even just for a second, she would worry and would look for her. When Casey’s talking about something that really interests her, Alex was the one to pay the most attention, as if taking a mental note of it, afraid that she might forget it and she might hurt and/or disappoint Casey if ever that happens.
And, Casey.. well, Casey would just dismiss the idea of it and laugh it off. To quote her exact words: “ Stop it, you guys. There’s no way. It’s just.. there’s no way. Way too impossible, ”
Yet, every time she will look at Alex, you can see the admiration in her eyes. Every time hers and Alex’s eyes will meet, she will have this flustered face. And every time she will see Alex being “ touchy ” with someone else, you could see the fire in her eyes, saying that she was hurt, and feeling envy of that someone, whoever they were, and jealous.
And they could go on forever about denying their feelings for each other, but they wouldn’t last seeing one another being held by someone, and that someone wasn’t them.
Olivia can go on and on and on in telling us how many times Casey and Alex have met, and what were they like,
And Elliot might not shut about how many times I have met Alex and Casey and the things that I kept on noticing about them every time we meet, and I know that all of you would never get tired hearing them all…
But that’s enough for now. Today, we’re meeting, and it doesn’t matter if it’s our first time meeting each other, or if it’s eternity, but one thing’s for sure, we were all meeting for the first time to witness a great love story unfold before our eyes.
“ Casey, Alex, things hasn’t been so easy for the two of you, but you’ve got through with it, stronger. I’ve seen lots of kinds of love and yours is one that I really look up to— unbreakable. Stay whipped, Case! ” Elliot, Casey’s best man, ended his speech, raising his champagne glass, gesturing it as a salute to the newlyweds.
“ If there’s someone who deserves to be that happy, “ Alex’s best man, Liv, gestured at them before continuing “ it’s the two of you, Counsellors, ” she then smiled and raises her glass of champagne. “ It’s such an honour to be one of those who have witnessed how the love story of you two develops and grows from being Alex’s simple crush towards Casey, to colleagues, friends, and now, as each other’s confidant and lover. May your love continues to grow as you grow old together while growing as an individual beside each other. And, oh, Alex; my dear Alex, my ever-smitten-to-Casey friend, Alex, may you always stay that way. Cheers! ” Olivia then take a sip of her champagne causing the crowd to went wild. Elliot then clank a utensil lightly on his glass, which everyone mimicked while shouting “ kiss! ” in which Casey and Alex are both happy to obliged.

The Moment I Knew
Request: Reader is a lawyer and Casey and reader meet at svu for the first time.
Casey Novak x Reader
Tumblr media
(Flashback)
Between the roar of cars and people on the streets, the tall buildings hovering above you, and the fact that you're moments away from your new job your anxiety was at its peak.
It wasn't too long ago that you were in school stressing over exams and the bar and now here you are...in New York City. Not only that you're working under the best of the best. In a department, many wouldn't dare enter especially fresh out the gate. SVU was not for the faint of heart but you knew you could do it.
Finding your building you took a deep breath as you entered. Following the signs to the elevators, you find your floor. Once the doors open you feel the overwhelming need to vomit. Trying to push it down you put one foot in front of the other as you head to the front desk.
Clearing your throat you smile at the elderly woman behind the desk.
“Hello. I'm here to see Casey Novak.”
The woman smiles “You're right on time. Have a seat hon.”
You smiled and thanked her before taking a seat. A couple of minutes passed and you waited patiently.
The sound of heels clicking against the floor piques your interest. Looking up you're met with the most beautiful green eyes and red hair.
The woman smiles extending her hand out.
“Hi. I'm Casey Novak,” she says with a raspy tone.
“H..hi.” you stuttered.
( End of Flashback)
“And that was the moment I fell in love with you,” you tell your girlfriend of now four years.
Casey laughs shaking her head.
“No way! You're lying.”
“No, I'm not.” you chuckled.
“Y/n there is no way you fell in love with me the moment you met me.”
“But I did.”
“I don't believe you.”
You smiled straddling her lap as she leans her head against the headboard.
“I love you, Casey Novak. And I've been in love with you since the moment I met you. Honest.”
Casey smiles shaking her head.
“I don't know how. I was a total bitch to you in the beginning.”
“You were my boss. My superior. I get it. But once you got to know me..you were kind, funny, and sweet. All of the things that further proved to me that I could see myself with you.”
The redhead smiles leaning in for a soft kiss.
“I love you.”
You smiled against her lips.
“I love you too.”

Casey Novak x autistic!fem!reader Warnings: pure fluffy fluff, established relationship, injury, hospital, coming to terms with a disability, insinuations of sex Word Count: 1.3k
Summary: After a serious injury, you're diagnosed with a disability that inhibits your day-to-day life. There are accessibility tools you can use, but you're self-conscious about using them out and about. Your girlfriend, Casey, is there for you every step of the way.
"Hey, Case, can you grab my glove?" you called, double-knotting the laces of your cleats. You were jittery with excitement. It was your first softball game since last October, when you'd broken your ankle running to first. And then played through it. And then fallen again and slammed your head into the ground and passed out. You'd woken up in an ambulance with a teary and terrified Casey grasping your hand so hard she almost cut off circulation. She was livid when she found out later that you'd been hurt and kept playing.
But you were better now. Well... mostly better. At the emergency room after the game, the doctor had examined your x-ray, MRI, and EEG results.
"It looks like you've broken this bone in your ankle before?" he said, frowning.
"I have."
Casey whipped her head around to look at you, her eyebrows a question mark. The doctor stared at you pointedly.
"How many times exactly?" he asked.
You felt yourself shrinking under Casey's hard gaze. "Uh... this ankle? Three times."
"In how long?"
"The, uh... the last five years."
Casey's jaw dropped and you winced. You were gonna get an earful on the way home.
"What about the other ankle?"
You felt like you were digging yourself a deeper and deeper grave.
"Twice."
"Any other broken bones? In the last five years?"
You listed them off, trying to avoid Casey's eyes.
"My thumb, my wrist, a toe or two."
"Any falls with seemingly no cause?"
"Yeah."
"How many?"
You glanced furtively at Casey. "More than I can count."
The doctor nodded and asked you a few more questions. Casey sat beside you, fuming, as you answered.
At the end of the visit, you had two crutches, a boot cast, some heavy-duty pain meds for your concussion, and a referral to a genetics clinic.
"I think you might have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome," the doctor had said.
Casey googled the condition all the way home.
"Y/N, this is serious," she said earnestly, supporting you as you hobbled through the door of your apartment.
"I don't know. None of that stuff you said about it sounded too bad. I'm just super flexible, basically."
Casey rolled her eyes at you. "Yeah, and apparently break every bone in your goddamn body on a regular basis."
When you were scared, you froze. You always froze. Casey did not. Casey made sure you scheduled your genetics appointment. She made sure you went. And when the geneticist confirmed the Ehlers-Danlos diagnosis, she was the one who asked what things you could do to help the condition, while you stayed silent, anxious and overwhelmed.
You just wanted everything to go back to normal. So what if you broke a bone more frequently than everyone else? It was no big deal.
"It is a big deal if it keeps you from doing things you love," Casey argued on the way home. "And if there are things you can to do to get better, you should do them."
"I guess so," you conceded, staring out the window of the cab.
"Y/N," she said, gently grabbing your face and turning it towards her when you didn't answer.
"Why can't you just let it be, Casey?" you whispered.
"Because you deserve to live the best life." She looked at you so intensely you had to look away. "You deserve to live without fucking breaking a bone every year. You deserve to play softball if you want to and run if you want to and not look at the fucking ground the whole time when we're on a hike because you're so scared you're gonna fall and break something."
You glanced at her, surprised and a little ashamed. "I didn't know you noticed that..."
"You love being outside. I'm gonna notice if you're looking at tree roots instead of a mountain vista. I just didn't know why."
You looked away, anxious about the Ehlers-Danlos. Anxious about what you'd have to do to make it better. Anxious that all those things wouldn't make it better in the end, would all be for nothing.
"Hey," she said wrapping an around you and planting a kiss on the side of your head. "We're gonna figure this out, okay?"
You nodded and exhaled quietly. "Okay."
Now, after months of healing and then more months of physical therapy, you were finally cleared to get back out on the field. You couldn't play catcher anymore—unnecessary strain on your ankle and knee joints, the physical therapist said. But you'd been practicing playing third base with Casey, and you'd grown to enjoy it almost as much as playing catcher.
"Casey, come on!" you yelled, tapping your foot on the floor. "We're gonna be late!"
Casey sauntered in, team uniform on, softball bag slung over her shoulder.
"I put your glove in the bag," she said, then dropped a pair of AFOs in front of you. "Put 'em on."
You hated them. You hated the way they looked, like some kind of plastic, kiddie Forrest Gump contraption. You hated that they altered the way you walked, the ease with which you could run and twist and reach.
You shook your head. "You know, I don't think I need them. I've been doing the exercises and stuff. My joints are stronger now."
"Y/N." Her voice was forceful as she squatted down in front of you. "Put. On. The AFOs."
"No," you said, trying and failing to sound nonchalant. "I'm telling you, I don't need them." You stood, making a move toward the door.
The pure, physical fact of the matter was that Casey was bigger and stronger than you. She didn't manhandle you often, but she did now. She grabbed your shoulders and shoved you back down onto the chair, huffing as she pulled off one cleat and then the other.
Now you were both mad.
"Casey, it's my fucking decision," you argued, trying to wrench your foot from her grip as she slipped the AFO over your softball sock. "I don't want to wear them! I hate wearing them!"
"I need you to!" she yelled, her face flushed, looking at the ground.
You watched her, your anger dissipating as you saw the worry in her eyes.
"I need you to," she repeated, softer this time. "I don't want to carry your body off the fucking field again."
You were both silent and still for a moment, Casey's hand resting on your leg, yours running gently through her hair.
Casey resumed her work on the AFOs, gently pulling on one and then the other, tightening the Velcro straps, forcing your cleats over them. You let her.
"There," she said, looking up at you. "Was that so bad?"
You hadn't worn the AFOs out yet, not where people could see them. You always had on sweatpants or joggers or jeans, something that covered them up. But with your softball shorts on, everyone would be able to see.
You avoided Casey's eyes, your hands shaking at your sides.
"Y/N," she sang, taking your hands gently in hers and flattening them, massaging the stress out.
"I look stupid," you whispered, trying not to cry. "Everyone's gonna make fun of me."
She cupped your face in her hands, looking earnestly into your eyes. "No one's gonna make fun of you, sweetheart." She brushed her thumb along your cheekbone. "And if they do, I'll kick their asses."
You nodded, still slumped in the chair.
"I think you look hot," Casey added, grinning slightly.
You rolled your eyes at her. "Yeah. Sure you do."
"I do," she nodded, moving her hands to your hips and planting kisses from your collarbone up to your neck. "In like a... cyborg, Inspector Gadget kind of way."
"What?!" you said, laughing. "That's so dumb."
She finally made her way to your lips, and the warmth of them took your breath away, made your stomach flutter.
"You know what's really hot about them, though?"
"What?" you replied, following her out the door.
She kissed you one more time for good measure. "It's one more thing I get to take off of you afterward."
You smiled, blushing. Maybe the AFOs weren't so bad after all.

Law & Order: SVU - First Date + First Kiss (Preferences)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Alex Cabot, Casey Novak, Liz Donnelly, Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun
Warnings: None
Word count: +1000
Alex Cabot
Tumblr media
- The blonde quickly pulls herself together, trying to mask the confusion of feelings and the shock of seeing you after so many years without any contact, failing miserably. She feels a little lost, not knowing how to act, slightly out of it. And continues like this for the next few weeks, even showing up almost every day at the bakery until finally getting up the courage to ask you out to dinner. It's a fancy restaurant, at a table away from curious eyes and the atmosphere is pleasant, you talk about your lives so far, between laughs, wine and an occasional physical touch, like hands accidentally crossing, her touch on your back as you get up from the chair, pinky fingers so close as you walk along the sidewalk that one can feel the warmth of the other. Alex insists on taking you home, you stop in front of the apartment door and both smile nervously. "I missed you." She whispers, tucking a stubborn lock of hair behind your ear. "No more than I missed you." You stare at each other for a few seconds and ADA leans in, asking permission with her gaze to continue, then you nod, joining your lips in a gentle and needy kiss, full of emotion, longing.
Casey Novak
Tumblr media
- It was no surprise when, in the middle of dinner, Casey's phone rang and she was forced to run after some judge to get warrants, she had barely touched the food, nor had you, both immersed in a fun and spontaneous flirting. The following week she's waiting for you in the lobby of the precinct with a box of your favorite dessert, which was mentioned at dinner, and a mysterious proposal. She takes you for a apparently directionless walk until ending up at a softball practice cage, no one else there, all the equipment waiting. Her words are patient, hands soft around your waist, body warm and slightly sweaty behind yours as her fingers wander up the forearm to put hands together and teach you how to use the bat, it's almost too much, all the sensations and little things the ginger provokes without even realizing it. "Good shot, sugar." She celebrates happily when you hit one target, proud of the result of hard work, and lifts you, twirling in the air, faces coming closer and you kiss as if it were the right thing to do, it's deep and passionate, all the tension built up over weeks expressed in one act.
Liz Donnelly
Tumblr media
- Another night spent working late, it's become a kind of routine you've started to get used to. Long nights full of paperwork, words that start to blur together in a few hours and a dozen cups of coffee, sometimes energy drinks. The last folder has been checked and the notes reviewed, when the knock on the door wakes you up, surprised, as the building seemed empty except for the security team. "You know it's 1am, right?" Liz smiles, entering your office, a bottle of whisky and two glasses in hand "I thought you might need these." And offers one of them, a little fuller because she knows it's necessary. Hours pass without either of you noticing, the bottle is half full and you're both on the floor, high heels thrown on the carpet, messy hairstyles and trivial conversations. "So, Cabot and you...?" She asks suggestively. "Oh, no, no, actually... she's my sister." The woman is clearly surprised, you expect some kind of negativity, maybe a little suspicion, but she just smiles and approaches. "Great!" Closing the distance with a half-drunk, slow and sensual kiss.
Olivia Benson
Tumblr media
- Board game days become a bi-weekly program between you, the two families start to meet often and a bond quickly forms, not unexpected considering how close your children are, like flesh and blood. The kids have fun in friendly competitions and eat snacks, sometimes preferring to play in the garden or watch random cartoons until they fall asleep. This time it's different, the pair went to a sleepover, you opened a bottle of wine, sipping it between relaxed conversations, a nice meal and close to midnight you're still awake. "Finally some time for the moms." She raises her glass and knocks on yours to toast the break, you both love your children, but they seem to be plugged in 24/7. "And without having to watch Trolls, I've memorized all the songs." You mumble, drinking the rest of the wine and snuggling up on the sofa, the woman unconsciously rests her arm on the headboard, touching your shoulder, both smile and try to pay attention to The Golden Girls. Almost impossible to do when long fingers wander over your bare skin, the genuine laughter and the magnetism that leads you to stare at her, enchanted. Eyes meet, breaths become heavy and you stop fighting the urge to finally kiss Olivia.
Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
- Her presence is very pleasant, bringing some kind of comfort to your tiring work days and boring shifts, there are delightful conversations when the restaurant is almost empty, occasionally she even makes a witty joke. As a result, you've become good friends, despite all the differences, from personality, age to social class. Bonds are created in the small details, maybe in the kind and gentle way she treats you, how she pays attention to the almost insignificant things you've left hanging in the air during a conversation, proof of which is the limited edition of your favorite book she brings to one of the dinners. Inside is a card with an address, a time and telling you to meet her there. So you do, wearing one of your favorite outfits and silently praying to be appropriate, in the end it doesn't matter much, she has prepared a candlelit dinner in the botanical garden, just you two, the nature and the stars. "I really enjoyed our night, it was lovely." You whisper and play nervously with the hands. "And what about me?" Rita teases, stopping walking, and you blush nodding positively. She tries to say something more, but is interrupted by your lips on hers in a clumsy impulse, there's a doubt in the air, answered by her hands on your waist pulling you in to deepen the passionate kiss.

Late Nights and Raindrops
Tumblr media
Casey Novak x reader Warnings: language, some light teasing, cute fluff. Covers the "can you warm me up, I'm cold" square for @adarafaelbarba 's bingo! She a short little drabble.
One of the best things about autumn in New York City was the sky high temperatures finally dropping, the air wasn’t as thick and heavy as it was over the summer months. Afternoons became bearable, evenings required a light coat, and as the sun began to set earlier you often drifted off to the sounds of rain outside your window.
Tonight was one of those nights, the day had still held on to some of that summer heat, your apartment filled with thick air when you got home from work. Made worse by the fact that you ended up turning on the oven to cook dinner, but you’d promised Casey one of her favourite homecooked meals after a long week of work. She had thanked you profusely, peppering your skin with kisses, complimenting your cooking and helping you with dishes and making sure to give you all the cuddles on the couch while you watched a movie. As the sun set, you knew the air must be cooling off, cracking open the balcony door and opening the window wide in the bedroom, letting out happy hums at the breeze floating through the room and the patter of raindrops. It wasn’t long before you were stifling multiple yawns, Casey letting out a small chuckle at the way you could barely keep your eyes open and pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“Why don’t you head to bed?” She murmured softly into your hair.
“I’ll miss the rest of the movie.” You whined in protest and she chuckled yet again.
“We can finish it tomorrow. I’ve got a pile of work to catch up on anyways, and that’s boring for you.”
“Okay.” You mumbled, detangling yourself from her limbs and the blankets, only pausing to kiss her gently, “you better not be too late or I’m filing an official complaint to your boss.”
“Yeah, I’m sure she’ll love that.” She laughed, murmuring a quiet good night and I love you before you stumbled off down the hallway.
*
It was hours later when you awoke, rolling over to find the other side of the bed empty and a light coming from the end of the hallway. You were about to roll back over and snuggle deeper into the blankets when a particularly heavy gust of wind came in through the window and you couldn’t help but shiver. After a few more minutes passed and your body actually woke up you realized just how cold your toes were and you were very much awake now. Picking up your phone you let out a huff at the time, well passed midnight, and pushed back the blankets, pulling Casey’s hoodie tighter around you. You shuffled through the room to first close the window, and then head down the hallway.
Not surprising at all, Casey was still burrowed on the couch, ear phones in, blaring on either a pod cast or playlist to keep her awake while she worked through whatever it was she deemed so urgent, using a thick textbook as a table. You weren’t purposefully sneaking up on her, but she was so focussed and without her sense of hearing, she still jumped when your hand met the back of her neck, though part of that was that your hands were freezing too.
“Jesus.” She swore, letting out a little laugh as she pulled out an earbud, turning to you.
“Sorry.” You winced, “wasn’t on purpose.”
“Why are you up?”
“Bedroom’s freezing.” You muttered, “and my girlfriend’s still working in the middle of the night.”
“Did you leave the window open again?” She asked with a smirk and you huffed in annoyance.
“You know I like falling asleep to the sound of the rain.”
“We should really just get you a noise machine.”
“It’s not the same.” You grumbled and she chuckled, “can you warm me up? I’m cold.”
Casey let out a small sigh, but packed up her work, leaving it on the coffee table to collect in the morning. She scooped up her phone, made sure the patio door was locked and flicked off the living room light before disappearing into the kitchen for a few minutes. You heard the tell tale beep of the microwave and she returned with the heating pad you usually used for period cramps in her hands. You raised a brow in her direction and she let out a little laugh.
“If your hands are that cold I’m betting your feet are just as bad and I don’t need you shoving them under me to warm them up.”
She wrapped an arm around you, guiding you back to the bedroom, getting you and the heating pad set up under the blankets while she ducked off to change, brush her teeth and wash her face. The bed starting to finally warm up by the time she slipped under the covers. You let out a happy hum as you nestled into her arms, you weren’t sure how but you found Casey always ran hot, even on the coldest of winter days, and you were more than happy to have your own personal heater. It wasn’t long after she joined you in bed that you were already warming up, your toes and fingers no longer frozen, letting out a happy sigh at the feeling of Casey’s lips hitting the top of your head.
“I love you.” You murmured into the fabric of her shirt and she smiled.
“I love you too.” She pressed another kiss to your hair, “now get some sleep. I don’t wanna deal with a grumpy guss in the morning.”
“You’re the one that can’t function without coffee.” You mumbled back.
“You’re lucky you’re cute.” She retorted, squeezing gently at your body and you let out a little squeak that she chuckled at.
Only a moment later did your breathing regulate, your body completely relaxing against hers, lips twitching up into a little happy smile to be snuggled in your girlfriends arm in the coziness of your shared bed. There truly was no place you’d rather be.

Tender, Loving Care (Casey Novak x Reader)
Tumblr media
Fluff- This was anonymously requested, but I can't find the request, so I'm going off my memory honestly. The request was something along the lines of the reader and Casey having a shower/bath together and it was requested to be fluff. That's all I can remember I'm sorry, so I will just have to wing it.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
The week's cases had taken a toll on Casey, the stress of them making her body tense and stiff.
As soon as she opened the door, she hung up her coat and dropped her bag and keys on the side table. You realised straight away that there was something wrong with her, her perfectly shaped brows furrowed to meet in the middle. A subtle frown settled on her lips, making your eyes fill with worry for your girlfriend.
"Hi, Case." You cautiously walked over to her, your hands reaching for hers to guide her to the sofa, pulling her head into your lap and stroking her hair between your fingers.
"H-Hey baby." You mumbled back.
Your fingers working in her hair drew out the tears cascading down her face, soaking the joggers you were wearing. You let the sobs shake from her now frail body before pulling her up to look in her eyes.
"Do you want to talk about it?" You questioned.
"Not yet, I'm not ready." She confessed, looking away from your concerned glare.
"Okay, Case. Is there anything I can do?"
She pulled you up by the wrist, dragging you off to the bathroom.
"I want to have a bath, both of us. Please." Her puppy dog eyes pleaded with you to agree.
You reached behind her to turn on the tap, the warm water filling the room with steam.
You helped Casey out of her pantsuit that she wore to court today, placing them into the wash basket at the other end of the bathroom.
You made sure that the water wasn't too warm before guiding her into the water, you not far behind after you'd stripped your clothes too.
You slipped into the bath behind Casey, her lolling back to lean on her shoulder. Her fingers tapped and danced across the surface of the water, your dancing across her smooth skin, making her chuckle at the tickling sensation burning at her skin.
She looked up at you, her eyes gazing down at your lips as you leant down to place a delicate kiss on her lips and then one to her nose.
You giggled as you kissed all over her face until you nipped at her earlobe, whispering sweet little nothings to her.
"I love you Y/N, so much."
"I love you more, Case."
After your bath, you both dried off and got into bed, Casey residing as the small spoon tonight, before laying her head on your chest, falling asleep as soon as she got comfortable.
"Thank you, Y/N."
