Note
I have an idea for a reader and Olivia Benson if you’re happy to write it. 2am Olivia gets a frantic call from reader, she’s hyperventilating and her words are coherent. Olivia manages to get out of the reader that she’s home and rushes over. As the approaches her apartment she notices the front door ajar and inside is a complete mess. She hears reader sobbing in her room, and notices she’s naked and bruised and scratched. Reader confesses her ex forced her way in and attacked her. Reader begins to space out lost in her emotions of insecurity and worthlessness, she unknowingly advances on Olivia and ends up kissing her.
thank you for your request! i hope you enjoy 💗

Olivia Benson x Fem!Reader (tho r isn't described with any pronouns)
warnings: implied assault/rape (up to interpretation), typical SVU themes, poorly written fluff, not proofread
word count: ~1314 (longest one on my page so far yippie!!)
a/n: i love writing for my svu girls! there's definitely not enough fics of any of them, and my requests are open for them all :)
Olivia is jolted away by the sound of her phone ringing. she rubs her eyes as she groans, looking at the alarm clock on her nightstand.
2:43 am.
she sighs as she grabs her phone, her eyes straining at the brightness as she turns it on. the call had already ended, but she decided to check to see if it was important or not.
she frowns when she notices you’ve called more than once. she quickly clicks the ‘call back’ button, pulling the phone up to her ear as she adjusts her position in her bed.
she has an unsettling feeling forming in her chest as the phone continues to ring. finally you pick up the phone.
“y/n?” Olivia’s voice crackles through the phone.
the glass from your shattered phone stabs through your hand as you grip it tightly, pressing it against your face. you breathe heavily, unable to form any words as you can feel yourself slipping out of consciousness.
“hello? y/n?” Olivia repeats your name, worry filling her at the sound of your labored breathing. “can you tell me where you are, honey?”
suddenly the line goes dead, a sharp ‘beep’ can be heard on both sides.
“y/n?” Olivia says panicked as she tears the phone from her ear, she quickly tries to call you again, pulling her phone away to stare at it when it goes straight to voicemail.
the brunette swiftly pulls herself from her bed, hurriedly putting shoes on and grabbing her keys as she attempts to call you again. she rushes out the door of her apartment, not even bothering to change from her sleepwear.
the entire car ride is full of dread and worry, she had a quick phone call with Fin while in the car. she needed to make sure that someone knew where she was going, in case something goes down or she needs back up.
she sloppily parks in front of your apartment building, quickly rushing out of the car and into the building. she practically runs up to your apartment.
Olivia can feel her heart drop into her stomach as she nears your door, noticing it’s open.
“y/n?” she calls, pushing the door open. “oh my god.” she stands in the doorway in a state of sudden shock, everything was destroyed. there were spilled flowers on the ground by the entrance, couch cushions thrown off the couch, picture frames and trinkets spread over the floor by the kitchen island.
she continues into your apartment, taking notice of the shattered glass and blood on the kitchen floor. she freezes again when she hears the sound of heavy breathing. the brunette walks slowly towards the sound.
“oh my god, y/n!” Olivia breathes as your barely conscious body comes into view.
you were laying on your kitchen floor, slouched over against the cabinets, your body cut and bruised, your shirt is missing and your pajama shorts are ripped.
Olivia rushes over to you, dropping onto her knees to cup your cheeks, “hey- hey open your eyes for me.” she says, her voice uncharacteristically shaky.
you open your eyes ever so slightly, attempting to focus on the brunette woman in front of you.
“’livia..” you mumble, your voice raspy and you're quickly thrown into a coughing fit, blood flying from your mouth.
Olivia takes a sharp intake of breath, “i’m going to get help, okay? you’ll be okay.” she mumbles, whipping her phone from her coat pocket, calling Fin to tell him she needs paramedics at your apartment. as she’s speaking on the phone she peels her coat off of herself, wrapping it around your body in an attempt to cover up your near bare body.
she sets her phone down as the call ends. “help is on the way.. can you tell me what happened, sweetheart?” Olivia whispers as she strokes your hair gently, glancing towards the window to see if she could see the lights of the ambulance approaching.
you look up at her with tear filled eyes, “she got me, ‘livia.. she got me.” you whisper, your voice cracking as the tears begin streaming down your cheeks.
Olivia didn’t need to ask to know who you were talking about, she knows it’s Max, your ex girlfriend. since the time she began getting close to you, she had always promised to protect you from your abusive ex girlfriend.
the brunette’s eyes search over your face, “we’ll get her.. okay? what did she do to you?” you drop your head back onto the cabinet, your eyes closing slowly, “hey- hey no, keep your eyes open, honey.”
you force your eyes open, trying, and failing, to focus on Olivia, “’m sleepy..” i mumble, my eyes drooping again.
“come on, y/n, stay awake for me..” her voice is panicked as she pats your cheek, you drift into unconsciousness.
Olivia stands up as she hears footsteps approaching, hearing the sound of the ambulance sirens outside of the building. the brunette rushes towards the ajar front door, stepping out to wave the paramedics into the apartment and showing them where you lay on the floor.
the next few hours are excruciating for Olivia, you had to get surgery in order to remove the shattered vase pieces from your back, and you’re now laying unconscious in your hospital bed.
Olivia is seated next to the head of the bed, no matter how hard she tried she couldn’t fall back asleep, she needed you to be okay.
“liv?” you mumble, your voice hoarse for a number of reasons. your head is pressed against the bed as you squint your eyes over at the older woman sitting beside you.
your sudden voice causes her to jump slightly, her eyes shooting from the book she was reading to you. “y/n.” she breathes as she stands up, leaving the book on the chair as she leans over you.
you grin up at her, “hey, ‘livia.”
“hi,” she whispers, running her fingers through your bangs as she stares down at you. “how're you feeling?”
you hum, shrugging your shoulders but the movement makes you wince, “i dunno.. did you get her?” as soon as the brunette frowns you know, she's still out there.
the room goes silent all except for the buzz of the lights and the slow beeping of the heart monitor.
“thank you.” it comes out as a whisper, but it confuses her nonetheless.
she scrunches her eyebrows in confusion as her eyes meet yours once more. “for what?”
it's silent for a moment before you respond, “for answering my call.. i suppose.” you gaze up at her.
a smile tugs at the brunette's lips, “i'll always answer when you call me.” she says gently “no matter the time, or the day, or how i feel..”
you giggle, “even if you hate me?”
her smile falls, but only slightly, “oh, y/n.. i could never hate you.” she whispers, her hand cupping your cheek.
you can feel your cheeks heat up slightly, “oh.” you meet her eyes again before your gaze drops to her lips. slowly you lean in before eventually you're pressing your lips to hers in a tender kiss.
once you realize what you’ve done you pull away, eyes wide.
it’s silent.
your eyes begin filling with tears, “liv-” before you can say anything, Olivia leans in, kissing you. you quickly reciprocate the kiss. when you both pull away she is smiling at you, her eyes soft and her feelings towards you are evident in them.
“i’ve wanted to do that for a while..” she whispers, her thumb gently rubbing your cheek bone.
“yeah?” you chuckle, the tears that were in your eyes had now run down your cheeks, being quickly rubbed away by the brunette.
“mhmm,” Olivia hums, a loving smile on her face as she holds the gentle eye contact with you.

“P-please ma’am please—!” Alex desperately mewls as she’s bouncing in your lap on your cock.
“No baby… be a good girl and hold it…” you cooe warily, drinking in all the young blonde’s reactions.
Alex’s head tilts back as she lets out a strangled groan, her body bucking and continuing to grind against your plastic dick. Your hands are holding her hips firm and setting an unrelenting pace for her to be riding you. You lick your lips at the sight of a sweat sheening, tits bouncing Alex Cabot.
“Can’t can’t ma’am gonna cum—!!” She babbles.
“Poor baby… needs it so bad you’re gonna defy my orders…?” You tease, as you force the women over the edge with a particularly striking thrust.
Alex comes crashing down, grinding haphazardly against your cock and lap, eyes shut tight, and a string of moans leaving her lips. As soon as she comes back to reality, the blonde finds that you are still fucking up into her at an unrelenting pace, using your hips to swivel the plastic dick further into her sensitive cunt.
“Shit ma’am AghgGgHH I’m sorry—!” Alex whimpers, leaning forward more into your frame, as she is overwhelmed by more pleasure and her next climax starts to build up.
“Oh you’re sorry, babygirl…?” You purr, a wicked gleam in your eye.
Alex nods vigorously, biting her lip as she lets out another desperate whine.
“I am, I am so sorry ma’am couldn’t listen mmm sorry…!!” She whines.
Suddenly you stop completely, leaving the strap-on dick deep inside the other woman. Alex’s eyes shoot open and she immediately tries to regain the lost friction, but your hands hold her firmly in place.
“No no NO ma’am I’m so sorry I’ll do better please ma’am—!!” She begs, hips thrashing and fighting your hold,
“Please I’ll be a good girl please punish me please I’ll listen give me another chance ma’am pleasssseee…!!”
“You wanna be good for me?”
She nods eagerly, bright eyed and bushy-tailed at the mention of forgiveness and redemption.
“You wanna be my good girl…? Prove it.” You purred, rolling your hips up once experimentally into the blonde.
“Yes ma’am…!!” She squeaked, her eyes rolling back at the little friction you rewarded her with.
You tilt your head and smirk, before loosening your vice grip on her hips and encouraging her to roll them against your cock once more. Alex gasped in delight and quickly began riding you fast and hard, with your help of course.
“Such a pretty girl…”
“Oh Jesus FUCK—!” She moaned out.
She set a brutal pace for herself, which you aided in helping her keep by thrusting your own hips up into her and bobbing her hips up and down in rhythm with your thrusts. The blonde let out desperate whimper after whimper, getting closer and closer to her next climax.
“Taking me like such a good girl… you gonna be an obedient little slut and cum as many times as I want you too…?” You cooe lustfully.
The blonde shaked her head cock-drunkenly.
“Very good girl…” you purr as she topples over the edge once more.

Law & Order: SVU - First Date + First Kiss (Preferences)
Classification: Fluff
Pairing: Alex Cabot, Casey Novak, Liz Donnelly, Olivia Benson and Rita Calhoun
Warnings: None
Word count: +1000
Alex Cabot
Tumblr media
- The blonde quickly pulls herself together, trying to mask the confusion of feelings and the shock of seeing you after so many years without any contact, failing miserably. She feels a little lost, not knowing how to act, slightly out of it. And continues like this for the next few weeks, even showing up almost every day at the bakery until finally getting up the courage to ask you out to dinner. It's a fancy restaurant, at a table away from curious eyes and the atmosphere is pleasant, you talk about your lives so far, between laughs, wine and an occasional physical touch, like hands accidentally crossing, her touch on your back as you get up from the chair, pinky fingers so close as you walk along the sidewalk that one can feel the warmth of the other. Alex insists on taking you home, you stop in front of the apartment door and both smile nervously. "I missed you." She whispers, tucking a stubborn lock of hair behind your ear. "No more than I missed you." You stare at each other for a few seconds and ADA leans in, asking permission with her gaze to continue, then you nod, joining your lips in a gentle and needy kiss, full of emotion, longing.
Casey Novak
Tumblr media
- It was no surprise when, in the middle of dinner, Casey's phone rang and she was forced to run after some judge to get warrants, she had barely touched the food, nor had you, both immersed in a fun and spontaneous flirting. The following week she's waiting for you in the lobby of the precinct with a box of your favorite dessert, which was mentioned at dinner, and a mysterious proposal. She takes you for a apparently directionless walk until ending up at a softball practice cage, no one else there, all the equipment waiting. Her words are patient, hands soft around your waist, body warm and slightly sweaty behind yours as her fingers wander up the forearm to put hands together and teach you how to use the bat, it's almost too much, all the sensations and little things the ginger provokes without even realizing it. "Good shot, sugar." She celebrates happily when you hit one target, proud of the result of hard work, and lifts you, twirling in the air, faces coming closer and you kiss as if it were the right thing to do, it's deep and passionate, all the tension built up over weeks expressed in one act.
Liz Donnelly
Tumblr media
- Another night spent working late, it's become a kind of routine you've started to get used to. Long nights full of paperwork, words that start to blur together in a few hours and a dozen cups of coffee, sometimes energy drinks. The last folder has been checked and the notes reviewed, when the knock on the door wakes you up, surprised, as the building seemed empty except for the security team. "You know it's 1am, right?" Liz smiles, entering your office, a bottle of whisky and two glasses in hand "I thought you might need these." And offers one of them, a little fuller because she knows it's necessary. Hours pass without either of you noticing, the bottle is half full and you're both on the floor, high heels thrown on the carpet, messy hairstyles and trivial conversations. "So, Cabot and you...?" She asks suggestively. "Oh, no, no, actually... she's my sister." The woman is clearly surprised, you expect some kind of negativity, maybe a little suspicion, but she just smiles and approaches. "Great!" Closing the distance with a half-drunk, slow and sensual kiss.
Olivia Benson
Tumblr media
- Board game days become a bi-weekly program between you, the two families start to meet often and a bond quickly forms, not unexpected considering how close your children are, like flesh and blood. The kids have fun in friendly competitions and eat snacks, sometimes preferring to play in the garden or watch random cartoons until they fall asleep. This time it's different, the pair went to a sleepover, you opened a bottle of wine, sipping it between relaxed conversations, a nice meal and close to midnight you're still awake. "Finally some time for the moms." She raises her glass and knocks on yours to toast the break, you both love your children, but they seem to be plugged in 24/7. "And without having to watch Trolls, I've memorized all the songs." You mumble, drinking the rest of the wine and snuggling up on the sofa, the woman unconsciously rests her arm on the headboard, touching your shoulder, both smile and try to pay attention to The Golden Girls. Almost impossible to do when long fingers wander over your bare skin, the genuine laughter and the magnetism that leads you to stare at her, enchanted. Eyes meet, breaths become heavy and you stop fighting the urge to finally kiss Olivia.
Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
- Her presence is very pleasant, bringing some kind of comfort to your tiring work days and boring shifts, there are delightful conversations when the restaurant is almost empty, occasionally she even makes a witty joke. As a result, you've become good friends, despite all the differences, from personality, age to social class. Bonds are created in the small details, maybe in the kind and gentle way she treats you, how she pays attention to the almost insignificant things you've left hanging in the air during a conversation, proof of which is the limited edition of your favorite book she brings to one of the dinners. Inside is a card with an address, a time and telling you to meet her there. So you do, wearing one of your favorite outfits and silently praying to be appropriate, in the end it doesn't matter much, she has prepared a candlelit dinner in the botanical garden, just you two, the nature and the stars. "I really enjoyed our night, it was lovely." You whisper and play nervously with the hands. "And what about me?" Rita teases, stopping walking, and you blush nodding positively. She tries to say something more, but is interrupted by your lips on hers in a clumsy impulse, there's a doubt in the air, answered by her hands on your waist pulling you in to deepen the passionate kiss.

Kiss and Tell*
Tumblr media
Title: Kiss and Tell Pairing: Alex Cabot x Reader MINORS DNI, 18+ Warnings: smut, top Alex, bottom reader, strap-on R WC: 543
All of Y/n's nerves about the night melted away as Alex kissed her. They had been planning this night for weeks, and Alex was absolutely overjoyed that it had finally arrived. Y/n had always been more comfortable giving than receiving, but Alex could see the frustration building up. Y/n sneaking off to touch herself in the dead of night after hooking up with Alex was no longer doing it for her. Alex had let Y/n take her time with everything from planning to psyching herself up. Alex understood the fear that came with letting someone else touch and witness you at your most vulnerable. If it wasn't for the alcohol and sexual frustration that Alex had been feeling prior to hooking up with Y/n, she would have been in the same boat.
"I don't want to rush you, but can we please get on with this?" Alex glanced up from where she had been sitting in between Y/n's legs in shock. They had spent so much of the night stalling that Alex had honestly begun to suspect Y/n would back out. "I'm sorry, but I've been waiting all night and I'm uncomfortably wet right now. So please, just take care of me."
"O-of course," Alex said as she sat up on her knees. Y/n laid back down against the mattress as she watched Alex coat the dildo she'd be using with lube. Alex's fingers had been teasing Y/n quite a bit throughout the night, and this strap couldn't have been thicker than that. They had agreed on something smaller to use while Y/n was still getting used to the feeling of being Alex's bottom. Alex positioned the tip at Y/n's entrance, but paused before making the first thrust in. "Are you sure that you're okay with this?" \
"Yes. Alex, please, just fuck me," Y/n begged. Alex felt her chest swell with pride as she slowly eased in. Y/n made noises that Alex had never heard from her before, ones that she hadn't even imagined. She had reduced the big, tough detective to a mess of moans and whimpers in a matter of seconds. Alex kept a slow pace until Y/n started to move her hips for more. Alex grabbed onto Y/n's hips and began to really fuck her.
"You're doing so good," Alex muttered her praises as she thrust Y/n into the mattress. Alex's body closed in over Y/n's, changing the angle with each inch that she moved. Y/n's fists were balled up around the sheets, and her body writhed in pleasure as Alex fucked her. The room was filled with the sounds of Y/n's moans, which just barely overpowered the sounds of wetness as Alex thrust in and out of Y/n's cunt. The sounds coming from Y/n's mouth grew to be more breathy than the last as she stumbled into her climax. She would have liked to think that she was graceful as she came, but Y/n knew better than that. She came crashing down like a tsunami wave: destructive and messy. And yet, Alex was there for her to clean up the mess and soothe her rapidly beating heart.

*not my gif*
Working for SVU was probably the hardest thing that Alexandra Cabot has done in her life; the fact that she saw unimaginable cases every single day, things she never thought she’d see or thought they were not real. But she was proud to be part of a team that wanted nothing more than get justice for the victims, and she too wanted nothing more than that, even if most of the time, the cases didn’t end as they expected or wanted. Growing up in a family full of successful people had made Alex want to leave her own mark, which meant that she’d be married to her job and whatever outside her job didn’t really matter. Also, something that she had always kept in mind since starting in SVU, was the thought of zero kids, not even having a partner. Of course, she had her dates, she had her one night stands no too often but every now and then, but mainly, she didn’t want to get involved in anything serious. Also because she knew that if she ever did, she’d putting her partner at risk, and the thought of it scared her, because she has seen it before, and she didn’t want that in her life.
But, they do say that sometimes life doesn’t go the way people want it to, and Alex knew about it, but she didn’t believe it would ever get to her. On a random night at the bar, Alex had gone for a drink after a tough case, wanting to be alone and drink her problems away, and that’s where her eyes landed on a beautiful girl that was at a table with a couple of other girls. She couldn’t help but stare at her the whole time she was there, every now and then looking away, she didn’t want to scare the girl. Her first thought was going to introduce herself, buy her a drink, and then maybe, just maybe, get her back to her place. But Alex took her time thinking about it, feeling a little disappointed in herself as she thought about what she wanted to do, debating in her mind if she should do it or not. But before she could take a decision, she felt someone standing beside her, turning her head slightly to find the girl that she had been staring at the whole night, ordering a drink.
Alex then decided she simply wanted to get to know her, see where this went, so she offered to pay for the drink. The girl looked back at her and offered a smile and a thank you, asking if she could sit with Alex and introducing herself. Y/n’s friends were completely forgotten as she engaged in a conversation with Alex for about an hour or so, funny stories were shared, laughs and smiles, Alex felt a little more alive as she talked to her. After some more drinks, both women decided it was time to go and decided to leave the bar together, as they made a stop in a corner, Alex stared at her for longer that she had expected, smiling softly as y/n caught her staring, giggling softly.
“Would it be too forward if I asked if you want to go to my place?” Alex bit her lip, a bit anxious as she waited for an answer.
Y/n sighed softly. “Not at all.” She smiled. “But I don’t think you want to get involved with me, Alex.”
Alex frowned. “Why not?”
“I don’t think I’m what you’re looking for.” Y/n smiled as she looked down at her hands.
Alex walked closer to y/n and placed her hand on y/n’s chin, making her look up at her. “I’ll be the judge to that. But if you don’t want to, you can always say no.” She smiled softly. “And we can go for a coffee first.”
Y/n’s breath hitched as she looked into Alex’s eyes. “How about both?”
Alex grinned softly as she nodded. “Sounds like a plan.” She looked down at y/n’s lips and leaned down to kiss her softly, stopping herself from deepening the kiss. She definitely knew this wouldn’t be like other times, this was way more.
After getting to Alex’s apartment, neither of them could stop themselves anymore and as soon as the door closed, thy engaged in a deep and hungry kiss. Clothes disappeared slowly as they made their way to Alex’s room, and the night went away as they explored each other’s bodies. Alex knew then that she was screwed because this was definitely not like other nights, y/n was not like anyone she has ever known, and her mind then made her realize that she just needed a few hours to realize that she indeed wanted that coffee, and more after that. It was around five am when she felt the bed moving, and suddenly the warmth that was pressed against her body was no longer there and she felt cold. She opened her eyes and found y/n looking for her clothes around the room.
“Leaving already?” Alex said softly, her voice a bit raspy.
Y/n turned to look at Alex and smiled shyly. “I’m sorry, I need to go. I need to be home before seven.”
“I can let you borrow some clothes, so you don’t have to put back on the dress.” Alex smiled as she got up, grabbing the sheet that had been covering her body and wrapping it around her body, walking to her closet. She grabbed some sweatpants and a hoodie, handing it to y/n. “Want to see if any of my shoes fit?”
Y/n shook her head as she looked at Alex, smiling softly. “I don’t live too far away from here, so the boots I wore will be fine. Thanks.” She stared at Alex for a moment and then cleared her throat. “Can I uh…use your bathroom?”
Alex nodded. “Sure.” She smiled softly as she saw y/n walking to the bathroom and closing the door behind her.
Alex then proceeded to find a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, decided she didn’t want to go to sleep anymore, and she was going to go for a run, changing rapidly before y/n could walk out of the bathroom. Once she was done, she made her bed and picked up the rest of her clothes, putting them in the dirty basket. She heard the door opening and she smiled as she looked at y/n, crossing her arms as she walked to her.
“So…about that coffee.” Alex grinned.
Y/n sighed softly as she placed her clothes on te bed, turning to look at Alex. “You really don’t wanna get involved with me, Alex. I told you last night. I want to. But…I’d rather safe myself from the pain later.”
Alex frowned. “I…” she sighed. “I don’t want this to just be a one night stand. So whatever you don’t want me to get involved with, I’ll take it. Unless, you know…you murdered someone, or you’re a drug dealer, or-“
Y/n laughed softly as she slapped Alex’s arm softly. “It’s not that.”
Alex chuckled. “Then? What could be worst than that?” She raised her brow.
Y/n sighed. “It’s not worst for me. But…I know it’s a handful for other people.” She offered a small smile.
Alex nodded. “You’re married?”
“Alex!” Y/n rolled her eyes playfully. She then shook her head. “I have a daughter.”
“Oh.” Alex raised her brows. “Sorry I thought the worst, but not that.” She chuckled.
Y/n shrugged. “For some people it is.” She smiled, looking down at the floor as she tried to avoid Alex’s stare. “No, I wasn’t married. I…didn’t plan her. It was a long time ago but…I was in a relationship that I didn’t want to be into, I was…raped. And then I was pregnant, but I chose to keep her.” She looked back at Alex and sighed. “I’m a mess. I’m a single mother who works at the hospital as a nurse. Not exactly someone you want to get involved with.” She smiled. “And I get it, I won’t blame you.”
It was then when Alex realized that after all, getting involved in something serious couldn’t be a bad thing, not if it meant she would be able to see y/n again and be with her. The thought of a kid scared her, but it wasn’t like she was going to get married to her already. But she wanted to see where this could go. She was actually willing to go out of her comfort zone and see where this could take them.
Alex smiled as she walked closer to y/n, placing her hand on y/n’s cheek and stroking it softly. “Why don’t we go for that coffee and then we see how it goes from there?”
Y/n’s heart warmed, smiling softly. “Really?”
Alex leaned down to kiss her lips softly. “Really.” She said against her lips as she smiled. “I give you my number and you let me know when you’re free?”
Y/n nodded softly. “That sounds like a plan.” She smiled as she kissed Alex’s lips again.
********************
Alex and y/n had decided that they’d go on a few dates to see where things could go, but after the second date, Alex already knew that she didn’t want y/n to leave her life ever. She had thought about it every day that she didn’t see y/n, how things could definitely change in her life, how it could also change for y/n, and she had surprised herself by actually picturing herself with a kid. After 4 months of dating, they finally decided that it was time for y/n’s daughter to get to know Alex. She knew that once she met y/n’s daughter, she’d be getting involved for good and even if y/n told her there was always a way out, Alex didn’t want it, she actually was excited to meet the little girl and to see where this relationship could go. Y/n had simply said that they could meet for a coffee, but Alex wanted the day to be fun for the little girl, so she offered to take them to the zoo. Alex had been standing in the entrance for around 15 minutes, her eyes trying to search for y/n and her hands fidgeting with her coat. Her eyes finally landed on y/n, a smile appearing in her face as she looked at her and then her eyes landed on the little girl that was holding her hand. The girl looked exactly like y/n, but her hair was long and red, hazel eyes, but she was definitely a mini y/n.
“Hi.” Y/n smiled softly as she stood in front of Alex, leaning in to kiss her cheek.
“Hey.” Alex smiled and then looked down, kneeling in front of the kid. “Hi. I’m Alex.”
The girl looked at y/n before her eyes went back to Alex, smiling softly. “Hi Alex. I’m Amelia, and I’m six.”
“Amelia. That’s a beautiful name.” Alex smiled.
“We are both A.” Amelia chuckled. “You’re really pretty, just like my mommy said.”
Alex’s smile widened as she looked up at y/n and then back at Amelia. “We are indeed both A’s, and you’re as beautiful as your mommy told me.”
“Thanks, Alex.” Amelia smiled.
“So, are you ready to have some fun?” Alex raised her brows.
Amelia nodded happily. “I love the zoo. Mommy brings me whenever is my birthday, so I’m excited to be here even if it’s not my birthday.”
Alex smiled. “Well, we’ll make sure you also come on your birthday. For now, let’s enjoy today.”
After an hour or so, they had made it almost through the whole zoo, at some point, Amelia had let go of y/n’s hand and grabbed Alex’s hand, Amelia taking her to see every animal as she talked about it and asked Alex questions. Y/n just followed them around and smiled softly as she saw them getting to know each other. Alex had been nervous before they had arrived but now that Amelia was literally sticking by her side, she couldn’t help but feel relaxed and happy. It wasn’t that she hated or didn’t like kids, she has worked with many kids before, she tried to be as nice and kind as possible, she thought they were cute and sweet, but she had never seen herself with one. Now, here she was, running around Bronx Zoo with a kid holding her hand. Before they left, Amelia asked y/n if they could stop at the shop, y/n making it very clear that she wouldn’t be buying anything for her and she was only looking. Amelia then went ahead to look at the toys, leaving Alex and y/n alone for a moment, both watching over her.
“Alex, I cannot thank you enough for today.” Y/n smiled softly. “I had never seen Amelia so happy and…trusting someone so quick.”
Alex’s whole body warmed at her words, smiling softly. “You don’t need to thank me, I’m just happy that she had fun. And that she seems to like me.”
Y/n placed her hand on Alex’s cheek and smiled. “She does like you. She completely forgot her mom was here.” She chuckled softly as she leaned in and kissed her lips. “You two are so cute.”
Alex smiled against her lips. “You’re cute too. She looks a lot like you.”
Y/n shrugged. “She got the hair from my mom.” She smiled.
“Mommy! Mommy!” Amelia ran to her and pouted. “Can you please buy me this? Pretty pleeeease.”
“Amy, we said we would only look.” Y/n looked down at her daughter.
“But mommy, I wanna take it home. She needs a home.” Amelia pouted again.
“Baby, you got enough plushies.”
“But not a red panda! She’s cute!”
Alex looked at y/n and then at Amelia. “I’ll buy it.”
Y/n turned to look at Alex. “Alex, you don-“
“Really?!” Amelia smiled widely as she looked at Alex.
“Consider it my gift.” Alex smiled as she looked at y/n. “Can I?” She tilted her head as she looked at y/n.
Y/n sighed as she looked at Alex’s face, she could almost see her pouting just like her daughter, rolling her eyes. “Okay, Alex can buy it for you. Go with Alex.”
“Thanks mommy! C’mon Alex!” Amelia grabbed her hand and pulled Alex with her.
Y/n shook her head softly as she smiled. “I got myself another kid.” She chuckled softly as she followed them.
********************
Y/n sighed heavily. “Mom…it’s okay. I’ll just uh…I’ll figure something out. Don’t worry about it. Just be safe, okay?” She hung up the phone and leaned her head against the wall, groaning.
“Sarah told me you’d be here.”
Y/n looked at the door and smiled as she saw Alex standing there, that cute smile on her face. “Hi. What are you doing here?” She smiled as she walked to Alex, kissing her lips softly.
“Well, since you said you didn’t have time to go out for lunch, I thought I’d bring you some. I’m on my way to the office.” Alex smiled as she handed her the bag of food.
“Oh, I love you. Thank you. I’m starving.” Y/n chuckled softly as she smiled, looking at Alex. “You didn’t have to do that though.”
“I wanted to.” Alex smiled as she kissed her forehead. “And I love you too.” She stroked y/n’s cheek. “Everything okay? You look a little worried there.”
Y/n sighed softly. “My mom has an appointment today and she was supposed to take care of Amelia. My shift doesn’t end until 10 pm and I’ll need to call a babysitter.” She shrugged. “I just don’t trust anyone with Amelia.”
Alex nodded. “Why don’t I pick her up?”
Y/n stared at Alex for a moment. “I- are you sure?”
Alex shrugged. “Why not? I mean, she knows me, you know me.” She chuckled softly. “I can go to your place so she’s more comfortable.”
“Well, I just…” Y/n chuckled softly. “I know you know her. I mean she’s…obsessed with you.” She laughed softly. “I just didn’t know if you’d be okay to be alone with her.”
Alex smiled. “I like being with her. And I don’t know I mean…maybe it’ll be good for us to spend some time together.”
“So you two team up and go against me? Because that’s definitely what happened the first time you met, and all the other times we’ve gone out.” Y/n raised her brow.
Alex chuckled softly. “Maybe.” She smiled. “It’ll be okay. I offered.”
Y/n sighed, smiling softly. “Okay, I’ll give you my keys. I’ll call and tell them that you’ll be picking her up. Pick up is at 2:30 pm.” She went to her locker and got her keys and some money, walking back to Alex. “Here’s some money so you buy something to eat for dinner. I’ll try to be home as soon as possible.”
Alex grinned as she only grabbed the keys, kissing her forehead softly. “Dinner is on me.”
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully. “Okay. Call me if you need anything.” She leaned in and kissed her lips softly. “Thank you.”
Alex nodded. “No worries.” She smiled before she walked out of the room.
It had almost been a year since they had started dating, all these months, Alex couldn’t be any happier, after thinking too much about it, their relationship was actually working perfectly. Amelia had adjusted so well to Alex, loving every second that she got to spend time with her. Alex had already met y/n’s mom and just a few weeks ago, Alex had planned a trip to her parents house in the Hamptons, both of them falling in love with both y/n and Amelia. She was afraid about the waited talk with her parents, which eventually, after y/n went up to the room to put Amelia to sleep, came as Alex was left alone with her parents. Alex never thought that she’d want to settle with anyone, but after almost a whole year of them dating, she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with both y/n and Amelia. Even if the thought of being a parent to Amelia scared her to death, she couldn’t help but think about watching Amelia grow up.
Alex stood in line waiting to pick up Amelia, looking at all the moms who picked up their kids and smiling softly. The squad had already teased her about it one time that Alex mentioned something about Amelia and the whole squad had stared at her as she talked about a little girl and that’s when she explained that her girlfriend had a kid. They teased her endlessly that she was now a mother and she’d soon be attending school dances, birthday parties and more. Even if they were only teasing her, Alex couldn’t help but smile at the thought, feeling warm inside. This was so new, definitely not something she had expected, but she was happy.
“Alex! You really here!” Amelia ran to Alex and Alex picked her up, Amelia wrapping her arms around Alex’s neck happily.
“Hey princess.” Alex chuckled softly, looking at the teacher. “Thank you.”
“Amelia was so excited to know you were coming for her. You have her wrapped around your finger.” The teacher smiled.
Alex smiled. “It’s the other way around, actually.” She then looked at Amelia. “Wanna go for an ice cream?”
“Yes!” Amelia was then put down on the floor and grabbed Alex’s hand.
After the ice cream, they both headed to y/n’s apartment. Alex almost broke her head as she tried to help Amelia out with her homework, noticing that she was way better at law than at simple kids homework. After that, Amelia had gone to her room to play for a bit while Alex got some work done, but not too long after, Amelia appeared back in the living room and asked Alex if she could sit with her to watch a movie while Alex worked. Alex would stare at her every now and then, smiling as Amelia was lost in the movie, one arm wrapped around her plushie and her little hand on Alex’s leg. She didn’t know when it happened, but all of a sudden she was laughing at the movie with Amelia, papers aside and Amelia leaning over her while Alex’s arm was wrapped around the kid, both enjoying the movie. Alex then decided to keep spoiling the little girl and ordered some pizza for dinner, both sitting back in the living room and eating the pizza while they watched the movie.
Alex looked down at Amelia and caught her yawning and rubbing her eyes, giggling a bit. “Tired, princess?”
Amelia nodded. “But I don’t wanna go to sleep. I wanna stay here with you.” She looked up at Alex.
Alex smiled. “How about this…you go and prepare for bed while I clean up a bit, and when you’re ready, you come to me, and I take you to bed to read you a book?”
Amelia smiled. “And you gonna lay down with me?”
Alex nodded. “Yep.”
“Okay, sounds like a deal.” Amelia chuckled as she ran to her room to get her pajamas.
Alex chuckled softly as she got up from the couch and paused the movie, grabbing the box of pizza and plates, and heading to the kitchen. Not too long after, Amelia tapped on her back, making Alex turn to look at her. “Ready?”
Amelia nodded. “Teeth brushed, and pajamas on.” She smiled as she extended her arms.
Alex picked her up and smiled, walking to Amelia’s room, and throwing her in the bed, earning a laugh from Amelia as she positioned herself under the blankets and hugged her plushie. “So, what book does the princess want?”
“Uh…Green Eggs and Ham!”
Alex went to her small bookshelf and picked up the book, walking back to the bed and sitting down beside Amelia. “Okay, read it with me?” She looked down at Amelia who nodded, and then brought back her attention to the book.
They both started reading and Amelia laughed when Alex tried to make funny voices, throwing her head back and then leaning back on Alex. In the fourth or fifth page, she noticed that Amelia had gone silent, looking down and seeing that Amelia had closed her eyes and was slowly breathing now. She smiled softly and carefully placed the book on the nightstand, standing up slowly and then moving Amelia to lay down properly, putting the blanket over Amelia’s shoulder and kissing her head softly.
“Night mama.” Amelia whispered softly as she hugged her plushie tighter, smiling as she fell back asleep.
Alex’s heart stopped at the words, standing still as she stared at Amelia. She then reacted and turned off the light of the nightstand, walking out of the room and leaving the door ajar in case Amelia called her. She stood there for a moment again, not sure if she had heard right or if she had imagined it. She walked back to the couch and sat down, trying to grab her paperwork again but she only stared at it, her mind too distracted to focus on it. Amelia had called her mama. She called Alex mama. She really did that. And she just simply said it. She didn’t even noticed, she was too sleepy. Did she even think about it? Will she remember in the morning? Had she been thinking about calling Alex mama? Did y/n even knew about it? She was so entranced in her thoughts that she didn’t hear the door opening and y/n walking in. Y/n said hi to Alex, putting her things away but when she didn’t get any answer, she looked back at Alex as she frowned. She walked around the couch and sat down beside Alex, who was staring at the paperwork in her lap.
“Baby?” Y/n raised her brow as she placed her hand on Alex’s hand.
Alex shook her head and turned to look at y/n. “Hi! Hi, I- I’m sorry. I was uh…I guess lost.”
Y/n chuckled. “You don’t say.” She kissed Alex’s cheek and then stood up. “Is she asleep?”
Alex looked down at her watch and noticed that an hour had already passed since she sat down on the couch. “Yes! She’s been asleep for a while.” She looked up at y/n. “There’s pizza left, do you want me to warm it up for you?”
Y/n chuckled. “No, I got it. I see you spoiled my daughter.” She grinned as she looked at Alex.
Alex smiled. “It was our day, how could I not?”
“What else did you do?” Y/n asked as she grabbed the pizza and put it on a plate to warm it up.
“Uh.” Alex put aside her paperwork and then stood up to go to the kitchen with y/n, leaning over the kitchen island. “Well, we went for ice cream.” She smiled. “We came home, she played a bit in her room and then we watched some movies before we ordered dinner, and I noticed she was sleepy, so I took her to bed and read a book until she fell asleep.”
Y/n smiled as she leaned over the counter and kissed Alex’s lips. “Thank you for taking care of her. I’m sure she was the happiest.”
Alex smiled. “So was I.” She watched as y/n went back for her food and bit her lip for a moment. “There’s uh…” she looked down at her hands. “There’s something else.”
Y/n looked back at Alex and raised her brows. “What?”
Alex looked back at y/n, smiling softly. “She…she called me mama.”
Y/n’s heart stopped as she stared at Alex. “Alex…I-“ she cleared her throat. “I told her we would talk about it and-“
“She asked you if she could call me that?”
Y/n only stared at Alex as if she had been caught. “I mean…yes. She…she talked to my mom and my mom told me and I…I sat down with her, but I told her we needed to talk about it. I didn’t expect her to say it. I thought she had understood that I would talk to you about it. Alex, I am so sorry. I know we’ve only been dating for almost a year but-“
“I don’t mind.” Alex snapped, interrupting y/n’s rambling.
Y/n stopped talking and only stared at Alex again. “You…you what?”
Alex smiled softly. “I don’t mind.” She huffed a chuckle. “I really don’t mind.” She felt her eyes getting teary as she walked to y/n. “I…I really thought I never wanted kids. The job I have…working with kids that are victims…I’ve seen so much that I thought I’d never want that life or would want to settle with anyone. But you and Amelia really changed that for me.” She grabbed her hands and smiled. “I want you to tell Amelia that it’s okay.”
“You mean it?” Y/n smiled as she felt her own eyes getting teary.
Alex nodded. “I mean, if it’s okay with you, I don’t mind. But y/n…I want this. I want to do this with you. I want you and Amelia in my life, I cannot imagine my life without my two girls.” She chuckled softly.
“Oh, Alex.” Y/n’s smile widened as she wrapped her arms around Alex’s neck, kissing her lips softly. “I was so afraid you wouldn’t want this.”
“How could I not? You two are my girls.” Alex smiled as she pecked her lips. “We should move in together. Look for a place, or move to mine, we can make my guest room into her room.”
Y/n nodded. “We should talk about it.” She smiled. “I love you so much.”
“I love you more.” Alex smiled as she leaned down and kissed her lips softly.

Lets you get quirky and colorful with holiday decorations inside, but outside it's classic white lights and wreaths and candles only.
Would never ever admit it but gets pissed when you don't interact with her Instagram posts.
Favorite candy is Skittles, but she feels this undermines her badass bitch persona at work, so she'll only eat them at home.
Secretly likes to wind down with a joint on Friday nights after work.

Gives absolutely no fucks.
You do not want to be on the receiving end of an Alex glare.
The ultimate hype man. Believes in you so much that you actually believe in yourself.

What is lost, will always be found
Tumblr media
Summary? No.
Warnings? Yes, but only a little; hurt/comfort, reader needing their moms, depression, feelings of abandonment, this was self indulgent.
Alex x Olivia x their kid!Reader
———————————————————————————
Things had been going ok, but at the same time things were also going to shit.
Y/n had been exhausted every day, putting on a mask of happiness, lying their way through everything.
They sighed and thought as they walked to Olivia’s door, “Why did I agree to this dinner with mom and Noah? All I want to do is go home, curl up and cry. Although I should be grateful, at least they remember me and include me.”
Knocking and hearing a ‘hold on!’ coming from inside, Y/n took one last shuttering breath and prepared the mask that they wore so well.
The door swung open and there stood Olivia, Y/n’s adopted mother and one of the only people to genuinely love and accept them, and with a wide smile, “Sweet baby come here! I’m glad you could make it, come in!”
As soon as they entered a smaller body collided with their own, looking down they could see a head of unruly curls and a wide smile, “Y/n! I missed you!”
For the first time in days, the smile on their face became real, “I missed you too, Bud! How was your day at school?”
Noah grinned even harder and pulled back, “It was good! We did an art project in class; I get to bring it home Monday!”
Olivia smiled as she watched the interaction between her two children and walked to where Alex was, “They don’t even notice you yet, let’s see how long this will continue before you’re noticed.”
Alex laughed quietly, “Deal, but I’m sure Noah can keep them busy for a while.”
Liv giggled quietly and looked to Alex, “Thank you for coming back, Alex. Speaking of, have you given any thought to- “
Alex gave Olivia a look, “I still have my license, I never lost them but Olivia, if I do come back, keep Elliot away from me. Got it?”
Liv pulled a face, somewhere between shock and humor from the looks of it, but said, “I will try my best, but you know we work cases with Organized Crime.”
Alex sighed and was about to grumble but the timer went off, it was time to eat.
Olivia and Alex bought everything to the table before Liv called everyone to eat, “Alright you two, let’s go. Y/n, can you hand me the glasses please?”
Y/n smiled but as they turned around, their jaw fell open and there stood Alex Cabot in the flesh wearing a wide grin.
Y/n felt a tear slip down their cheek and as they dove into Alex’s arms, they spoke softly, “Mama! Wha-what are you doing here?”
Alex smiled and held them tight, “I’m coming home, I got sick of Florida, and I wanted to be near some of my favorite people, so I decided to move back home.”
Y/n pulled back with tears and a certain look in their eye but before Alex could ask them what was wrong, Y/n pulled away completely and said, “Let’s eat!”
Alex watched them carefully and then turned to make eye contact with Olivia confirming if she saw it as well and once Alex saw the look, they knew something was going on and now both women were suspicious.
They would leave it alone until later, for now it was time to have some family bonding.
Talking amongst each other and going about how their days were and what they all did, dinner quickly ended.
Liv smiled at Noah and told him it was bedtime and to say goodnight to everyone but of course he didn’t want to go to bed yet but with one look from his older sibling, he compiled and told everyone goodnight.
Liv gave Alex a look that told her to get started and she’d be back soon, and Alex complied, “So let’s go ahead and dive in, no bullshitting. How are you really, sweetheart?”
Y/n faltered slightly with the dish in their hand, “I-uh I’m fine, why?”
Alex sighed and put everything down, “Listen to me, I know I haven’t been here like I should have for quite a few years but I’m coming back and I’m going to be here and around you quite a lot. So, tell me now and I won’t have to use my lawyer skills on you.”
Y/n took a shaky breath, trying to speak the truth but the burning lump in their throat wouldn’t cooperate and all that came out was a broken sob, quickly covering their mouth and turning into the arms that came around them, they let all the pain out.
Alex held Y/n tightly, one hand on the back of their head and the other rubbing their back, “Let it out, little bear. It’s ok, I’m here. It’s ok.”
Y/n cried hard into Alex’s shoulder, holding themselves close to her and let out a few broken words, “I’m so tired, mama. It’s so fucking hard.”
Olivia heard those words as she came around the corner and immediately wrapped her arms around the two and held them, letting a few tears at the obvious pain their little bear was in.
After a while Y/n pulled back, Alex and Liv had more questions but kept quiet and led them into the living room.
After a while longer, Liv spoke but kept a tight grip on Y/n’s hand, “What’s going on, sweetheart? Tell us, please.”
As a hand went carding through Y/n’s hair, they broke again and spilled it all, “When is it going to be me? Everyone is leaving me behind, moms! All that happens in this life for me is I help people, but when it comes to getting help in return, I get ‘I’m sorry, I’m busy’! When am I going to be placed first!? When am I going to get helped in return!? When is it going to be ME?”
Alex and Olivia both felt tears streaming down their faces at the obvious pain and turmoil in Y/n’s voice, they could see clearly in their body language and their face how tired they were.
Olivia immediately drew her eldest in for a hug, squeezing them tight, cradling them. Alex immediately came in behind and wrapped herself around the two, holding both Olivia and Y/n, they cried with their child.
While Alex wasn’t legally Y/n’s other mother, she sure as hell thought of Y/n as her child as well and damnit, she was going to help bring the light back to their eyes.
Sitting on the couch for quite a while letting Y/n get some of their pain out, Olivia spoke, “Listen to me, we may not be your friends or your coworkers, but we are your mothers and as long as we are here, we will never forget you. Little bear, neither of us care what time it is, where we are, what we are doing, come and find us and we will be there. Ok?”
Alex made a noise of agreement, placed a soft kiss upon the back of Y/n’s and said, “Listen to your mom, she’s a wise woman. We’re here, sweetheart. We are here, we always will be.”
Y/n made a noise of acknowledgment and nodded against Olivia, and they said in a broken voice, “Thank you, please never leave me.”
Alex squeezed harder and said, “Never, we will fight to be here by your side for the rest of our lives. You are our child, we will never forget, never leave, and will always make time for you.”
They continued to stay in their little pile they made for a couple more hours, keeping their child sandwiched between them and cocooned in safety.
With Y/n drifting to sleep, the last thing they heard and felt was Olivia’s voice and Alex squeezing tightly, “No matter how far you roam, we will always find you. What is lost, will always be found.”
Alex chimed in, “If we even let you out of our sight, you are our baby, and we swore to protect you. We love you, Y/n. Please never forget.”
Drifting to sleep within the warmth and safety of their mom’s arms, Y/n was finally at peace.
———————————————————————————
Bonus: The next morning
Y/n was groggy when they awoke, rubbing their eyes, raising up to find where the voices were coming from, they spotted their mothers locked in an embrace and made a slight face before speaking and scaring both women, “Ew but fucking finally, it’s about damn time and I would continue but I want more sleep, just don’t be too loud if you have sex. Two impressionable children in the apartment.”
Both women gaped at Y/n and shook their heads while Y/n fell back asleep with a soft smile on their face and a soft huff of a laugh escaping their lips and thinking as they drifted even farther into sleep, “Fucking finally, it only took them 24 years.”

Commencement
Your head pounds wildly with each contact between your heels and the decaying sidewalk beneath them, the early-morning sun only solidifying your looming migraine.
As you round the tight street corner, you wonder what made you stupid enough to get blindly drunk the night before your internship began. Squinting, you enter the precinct you'd been allocated to, and sigh in relief at the bleary lighting of the bullpen. Your eyes finally adjust and you open them fully, staring into the sea of scrambling bodies before you, looking for someone matching the description you'd made up in your head of the ADA assigned here.
You survey every woman in your line of vision, and spend a little too much time observing the figure of a lean blonde sitting on top of a desk and speaking to a cop. You turn your head in inquiry--much like a dog--and let your eyes wander over the expanse of her arms, toned and braced against the surface beneath her. The ribbed tank top stretched across her body leaves little to the imagination, and you chew at the inside of your bottom lip, bringing your hand up to grab at the base of your neck.
You silently chastise yourself and avert your eyes, moving them leftward to land on an equally distracting redhead leaning against the banister of a staircase settled in the far corner. You swallow thickly as you realize this is probably who you'll be working under for the next ten weeks. After allowing yourself to exhale petulantly at your current situation, you force yourself into the familiar mindset of a professional.
You deaden the curious look in your eyes, and crane your shoulders back as you make your way towards her, rediscovering your usually-present arrogance. She notices you approaching her, and she doesn't attempt to hide the confusion spreading across her sharp features. When you stop in front of her, she looks down at you with furrowed brows, and you offer a tight-lipped smile before introducing yourself.
"Your boss said I could find you here." You say, extending your hand, and she looks at it with an expression resembling offense.
"And who are you?" She asks, reluctantly engaging your handshake and searching your face for a glimmer of familiarity.
"Your new intern. Casey Novak, right?" You inquire with an air of hesitancy, and she nods cordially in affirmation.
You drop your hand, and Casey stills before excusing herself momentarily, squeezing your upper arm in a wordless apology that makes your stance falter. She walks hastily to the blonde you saw earlier, leaving you standing awkwardly by the stairs. Casey says something to her, and you pretend to not notice the cerulean eyes now boring into you. The blonde stands up from her position atop the desk, and Casey gives her a look before they begin to approach you.
You fidget with your hands as you dart your eyes between the nearing pair, and you try to remember a time in your employment history that you've felt this ill at ease. Seeing them beside one another, you recall a passing rumor you'd heard about them years ago; something from a past intern regarding an initiation process. The details are hazy, but what you do remember is enough to redden your face, and force your eyes to the ground. Your lips are pressed into a thin line when they reach you.
"This is ADA Alex Cabot, she serves as second-chair with me." Casey states lowly, punctuating her introduction with a wave of her hand towards Alex.
Suddenly, Alex's hand finds itself pressed lightly to the small of your back, guiding you down the hallway. You can hear them muttering beside you, but again you feign ignorance and refuse to acknowledge it. Casey opens the door to her office, gesturing for you to sit down in one of the chairs in front of her desk. You oblige, and your chest tightens when the blonde fits herself on Casey's desk beside you.
"I apologize for the confusion, but the internship cycle for this season has already ended." Alex states curtly, and you nod intently, taking a pause before responding.
"Well, if this is some sort of mistake I can call the DA and get reassigned elsewhere." You say with no strong emotion, shifting your gaze to scrutinize the look they shoot each other at your words.
"I believe that would be best." Casey says coldly before moving towards the door, and you take that as your sign to leave.
"It was a pleasure to meet you both." You chide, purposefully letting more than a hint of discontent lace your parting words.
The time between being booted from your new job and now goes by quickly, leaving you twirling in a barstool chair of a small dive just a few blocks from the courthouse. The hours you'd spent angled over the black resin bar with a drink in your hand withered any plans of calling for a new internship placement. Night had enveloped the city long ago, but your mind refuses to slow down, leaving you oscillating between brooding over the earlier events of your day, and scribbling on papers with black ink.
At some point, you abandoned your coursework, committing all of your focus to nursing a glass and speculating about what clerical error could've led you to make a fool of yourself in front of two highly-respected lawyers. You dig your fingertips into the recesses of your eyes in frustration before deciding to call it a night. However, before you can grab your coat off the back of the chair, you feel a presence behind you. You turn, and manage to retain a look of neutrality despite being greeted by the last two people you'd like to see right now.
"Novak. Cabot." You acquiesce flatly, reaching for your wallet to pay off your tab.
"Didn't expect to see you here." Alex quips, smirking lightly, and you let a wry laugh leave your throat.
"Didn't expect to see myself here either." You admit through a locked jaw, setting your pile of papers into a folder before shoving them into your bag.
"Since you're here, let us buy you a drink—an apology." Casey mutters sincerely, gesturing with her hand for you to sit as she had done so hours before in her office.
You're not sure if it's the alcohol, or the glint of arrogance in Alex's eyes, but something compels you to indulge their wish. Cursing yourself under your breath, you sit down and lean back into the stool. They do the same, one on each side of you; Casey greets the bartender like an old friend before ordering you something. You split your gaze between each of them, curiously waiting for someone to break the silence, and it ends up being you.
"You guys are a big topic of conversation in the community of wide-eyed interns on campus." You say over the rim of your drink, and each of them allow a smirk to play on their lips at that; Casey downs the mahogany-colored liquid in her glass before dignifying your admittedly dumb statement with a response.
"Is that how you view yourself? A wide-eyed intern?" She asks condescendingly, each word scraping and raw.
"No, is that how you view me?" You catechize, and her face changes to one of slight amusement.
"Topic of conversation?" Alex inquires, and Casey hums to signify her same want for an answer; you move your head forward to avoid looking at either of them.
"There are certain rumors." You allege with a lopsided smile, the strength of the drink Casey had ordered for you catching up with your resolve.
"Those being?" Alex trails, swiveling in her chair to face you completely.
"You think they don't talk about their baptism by fire?" You admonish sarcastically, ending the question with a dramatic clicking of your tongue.
"Is that why you ended up on our doorstep, curious to see if it was true?" Alex asks, sliding forward and moving her right hand to clutch the back of your seat, trapping you between the bar and herself; Casey grins when she sees you shiver.
"I guess I can find out in the spring. That is, if I reapply, right?" You challenge, leaning further into Alex and looking up at her; you can feel the way Casey looks at the blonde despite having your back turned to her.
"Or you can find out now. We can make an exception, can't we Alex?" Casey asks almost rhetorically, downing the rest of her current drink and setting the glass down gently; you hold Alex's gaze and ignore the stabs of arousal in your gut.
"I don't know. Do you think she can handle it?" Alex berates, a diminutive tone of faux concern dripping from her words.
Casey replaces Alex's hand on the back of your barstool, and uses it to turn your body towards her. She catches her bottom lip between her teeth as she scans over you, her eyes darkening as she clocks the pink tint on your face. Casey straightens her body to look over at Alex, nodding to her after a moment; wordlessly, they stand. Casey hands a few large bills to the bartender, and Alex gathers your things for you. They carry out these actions methodically, solidifying your suspicions that this a routine for them.
Most of the cab ride is a blur, your mind completely occupied by what you'd gotten yourself into. The trembling of your body radiates outwards from your torso to your limbs, and this doesn't go unnoticed by either woman. Casey slips her hand behind you, the width of it covering the space between your shoulder blades, her expression contorted into one of concern. You turn your head towards her to shoot her a suggestive smile, and her face relaxes. You don't remember actually entering Casey's apartment, but somehow you're there, standing in the middle of her living room in expounding anticipation.
Just as you begin to form a snide comment about their inaction, Casey's left arm encircles you from behind. Her right hand gathers your hair at the root, pulling back slowly until your head lays just below her shoulder. Your eyes flutter closed and your stance falters, forcing her to press her body into yours to keep you upright. She bites into the thin layer of skin over your pulse point, and you almost don't register the bulge brushing against your waistline. Her left hand sneaks beneath the flimsy fabric of your shirt, moving upwards until she reaches the top of your ribcage, and you choke back a whine.
You force your eyes open to see Alex tossing your bag and coat onto the kitchen island, looking quite unfazed by your current predicament. She eventually looks towards you, shedding her coat before approaching your heaving body. Just as Alex's body jams you against Casey, she lets go of your hair, letting you fall into the blonde with a slight laugh. Your mind clouds entirely as Alex runs her hand down your arm, grabbing yours and leading you towards Casey's room. The door closes as you near the bed, and Casey's on you again, only this time from head-on. She kisses you with urgency, whimpering into your mouth as your hands begin to grasp at her sides.
She grabs your wrists to halt your wandering, and you groan in disapproval. She steps back and tilts your head upwards to admire her earlier work on your neck, the bite marks already beginning to bruise. She smiles cockily as she releases your jaw, shifting her focus towards the blonde as she nears you. Casey makes quick work of your slacks, chastising you with her eyes when she sees what's beneath them. She toys with the lace hemming of your panties before sliding them down your legs at an infuriatingly slow pace. The redhead bends to fully remove them before kneeling between your slightly parted legs.
The blonde peels your shirt from your body as Casey nips at the inside of your thighs, making your legs tremble. Alex’s arms fit beneath yours, palming your chest firmly before tracing her fingers back horizontally to reach the clasp of your bra. She slides it down your limp arms and tosses it on the floor, moving to cup you once more. Alex‘s movements against your breasts distract you so severely that you don't notice how close you already are until seconds before you’re about to let go. Casey heeds the twitching in your expression, and removes her lips from you, snickering when you attempt to clench your thighs together.
“Needy, aren’t we?” Alex lambastes, demonstrating her amusement with a mocking smile into the skin of your neck, making your breath catch.
Without warning, Casey stands and tosses you onto the bed, brutally knocking the air out of your lungs. Alex lets out a scraping laugh before she braces one of her knees against the bed, leaning over and capturing your lips with a tenderness that concerns you for what’s about to come. Alex breaks the contact when she hears the sound of Casey’s belt being undone; she makes a scene of walking towards the redhead, and offering to finish what she had started. Casey’s arms hang limply at her sides as the blonde coaxes the leather from around her waist. Alex’s bottom lip is pulled between her teeth as she turns to saunter towards you, the belt still settled comfortably in her right hand.
Your lungs burn with a warmly satiating pain, and you’d be lying if you said your most salient feeling wasn’t one of excitement. Casey motions for you to turn on your stomach, and if you weren’t lying down, you’re sure you’d pass out at the thought alone. You oblige, of course, and Alex straddles you, her weight fully trapping you against the mattress. She gathers your hands, and you groan as she slips the belt around your wrists, pulling on it crudely to verify your total restriction. The blonde moves to kneel beside your pliant body, running her agile hands teasingly over the expanse of your back. You're face-down in the sheets, your body completely flat, and the redhead decides that simply won't do.
Casey snakes her forearm under you, pulling you towards her by the hips until you're forced on your knees. She releases you after deeming your positioning satisfactory, and uses her hand to press your upper-body flush with the mattress. You feel as if you've been injected with something; heat rushes from your head down to your center, and you tremble at the feeling. The foreignness of this experience didn't demonstrate itself so profoundly until now, and you realize that you've never felt this vulnerable in your life. Despite this, you're bereft of any hesitancy or unease, only recognizing nearly debilitating eagerness in yourself. You bring your head up in conceit, locking eyes with the blonde to your left before deciding to toy with them.
"I didn't think you'd be a fan of the whole 'face down, ass up' thing." You croak out between heaving breaths, and Casey removes the hand that was on your back.
"Why's that?" She asks, and you can tell by her tone of voice that she's sporting the same shit-eating grin that you see Alex wearing.
"I don't know. Figured you'd want to see your effect on me instead of just hearing it." You sputter out, trying to keep your train of thought in defiance of the fingers now gliding skillfully through your folds.
"You want me to see how pathetic you are that badly?" She jaws, entering you lightly and chuckling at the way your thighs instinctively widen for her.
You can only whine in response to her question, and Alex shifts her eyes away from you to meet the redhead's. Casey moves her fingers in and out of you lazily as she decides whether or not to entertain your challenge. You feel your climax building once more and try desperately to ignore it, as you know the redhead won't allow you to finish. After a few moments, Casey pulls out, and you're left nearly sobbing in frustration. What you didn't expect, however, was her choice to void you of her ministrations entirely, leaving Alex to flip you onto your back. The buckle of the belt binding your hands digs into your skin with searing pain, and a devilish smile tugs at the blonde's lips as she watches you struggle against it.
Casey fits herself between your legs in one fluid motion, pinning your knees to the bed harshly and slipping the zipper of her slacks open. Alex stands, mirroring Casey's actions, and fear rips through you when you realize that they're both wearing straps. The redhead angles into you with ease, burying herself to the hilt immediately. You cry out loudly as she bottoms out against the tip of your cervix, the pain forcing your eyes shut. Alex is quick to silence your growing screams by slipping the tip of her cock past your parted lips and down your throat. Their rapid paces synchronize, and tears spill from your eyes as you gag on the blonde's strap.
Alex steps back after a few thrusts, occupying herself with the redhead's exposed neck, giving you a moment to breathe. Casey dips her head down to allow her lips to meet yours, and you moan into her as Alex's gentle hands find your hair. Alex returns to her previous position, fucking your throat with more vigor than before, and cooing words you can't hear for the ringing in your ears. You writhe in vain at the overstimulation, helpless to resist the actions of either woman. Casey stills inside you for longer now, her hips stuttering as she greedily chases her own orgasm; you note this, and begin lifting your own hips to meet hers, hoping she'll take mercy on you if she finds her release.
The double stimulation coupled with the intense pain causes to you unravel in less than a minute, shaking aggressively beneath Casey's body. Your neck cranes against the mattress as far as it can with Alex buried so deep in your throat, and your eyes roll back sharply to reveal only white. You can hear nothing over the heartbeat in your ears, and you feel every rush of blood course through your veins at the same rhythm. Casey sees you come undone beneath her, and the sight of you--fucked out and listless--pushes her over the edge quickly. Alex is the first to pull out, allowing your innumerable sobs to escape your chest and bounce off Casey's bedroom walls. She kneels until her mouth is level with you ear, whispering praise to you even after Casey removes herself from you.
The redhead rids you of her weight slowly, trying to spare you of more agony. After she straightens herself out, she lifts your spasming body up to a sitting position, allowing Alex to wedge her body behind yours as a support. You whimper and sink back into Alex completely; she strokes your hair as Casey sits beside you, softly running her hands up your thighs. You eventually regain your full consciousness and very soon realize you're going to be limping for a few days. Casey smirks as you come to, leaning in to kiss the side of your mouth, her hands sliding back to slowly remove your restraints. You suck in a breath through your teeth as the blood pooled in your hands disperses with a tingling sensation.
"Jesus fucking Christ." You say, those being the only coherent words able to be formed in your mind and leave your swollen lips.
"That good, huh?" Alex asks lowly against the shell of your ear, and Casey hums at her presumptuous comment.
"Is this a constant employee benefit or just a sign-on bonus type of thing?" You inquire, your hands dipping beneath the waistband of Casey's dark slacks.

The slam of the apartment door echoed through the usually quiet space, vibrating in your chest like a tuning fork. You flinched, the cheerful melody you were humming dying in your throat. Silence, heavy and thick with unspoken emotions, followed. It wasn't the comfortable silence that often settled between you after a long day, but a tense quiet that pressed down on you, squeezing the air from your lungs.
"I need to be alone," she spat, her voice tight, each word laced with barely suppressed emotion that crackled in the air. It was a command, not a request, and the harshness in her tone scraped against your heart.
You blinked, taken aback by the iciness radiating off her. Concern gnawed at you, a cold knot forming in your stomach. You knew she'd had a rough day at court, the details of which she hadn't shared, but this, this was different. This was a side of Alex you'd never seen, a raw vulnerability masked by a storm of anger.
"Okay," you managed, your voice barely a whisper. The book you were reading felt suddenly heavy in your hand, the words blurring into meaningless shapes. You wanted to reach out, to hold her close and chase away whatever demons haunted her, but the look in her eyes, a desperate plea for solitude, held you back.
You retreated to the kitchen, the echo of the slammed bedroom door slamming against your chest. You busied yourself with mindless tasks, setting the table for a dinner that suddenly felt pointless. Every clinking spoon, every rattle of a plate, resonated in the tense silence, a constant reminder of the storm brewing just down the hall.
Half an hour ticked by, each second stretching into an eternity. The worry gnawing at you intensified with every passing minute. You replayed the day in your head, searching for any missed signs, any unspoken hurt that might have caused this sudden withdrawal. But you came up empty.
Pushing aside your apprehension, you grabbed two plates, the weight of them a grounding force amidst the swirling anxieties. Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself and headed towards the bedroom door.
"Hey, I made your favorite," you started, pushing the door open a sliver. You tried to keep your voice light, unassuming, but it came out strained, a reflection of the turmoil within.
"I said I want to be alone!" Alex snapped, her voice laced with a raw anger that cut deep. The words were like a slap, the sting echoing in the hollowness of your chest. The plates nearly clattered to the floor in your surprise.
"Alex," you said, your voice thick with a mixture of hurt and concern. "You had a rough day, let's just eat and-"
"Don't tell me what I need!" she roared, her voice breaking slightly at the edges. "This isn't about the damn case!" Her green eyes, usually filled with warmth, were now blazing with a fire that scared you. "Just leave me alone!"
The venom in her words struck you like a physical blow. Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring your vision. You had never seen her like this, so vulnerable and hurting, lashing out in a way that tore at the fabric of your love. But the harshness in her words scraped away at the understanding you were trying to build.
"Fine," you choked out, the hurt twisting in your gut like a knife. "I'll be out." Your voice barely rose above a whisper, but it was enough. The words hung heavy in the air, a stark contrast to the fury that had just erupted.
You turned away, the weight of the world pressing down on your shoulders. The apartment, once a haven of warmth and love, now felt suffocating. You stumbled out the door, the cool night air a welcome shock to your system.
Tears streamed down your face, blurring the city lights into streaks of shimmering color as you drove. Each sob that wracked your body echoed the shattering of your world. The hurt was a dull ache that spread through your chest, constricting your breath, making every inhale a struggle.
You loved Alex, fiercely and unconditionally, but her words echoed in your mind, each one a searing reminder of the rejection, the feeling of being shut out. You had offered comfort, a listening ear, a safe space to share the burdens of her day, and she had thrown it back in your face.
You wrestled with those thoughts as you drove, the familiar streets blurring into a canvas of neon lights and rain-streaked asphalt. You questioned everything you thought you knew about your relationship. Had you been insensitive? Had you not been there for her enough?
The self-blame was a bitter pill to swallow, mixing with the hurt of Alex's rejection. You pictured her on the bed, alone with her demons, and a fresh wave of tears welled up. You ached to hold her, to whisper reassurances, but her harsh words echoed, a barrier you couldn't seem to penetrate.
Hours bled into one another, the rhythmic whoosh of the windshield wipers a monotonous counterpoint to the storm raging inside you. Exhaustion eventually settled in, a heavy weight dragging at your eyelids. You found yourself parked on a deserted pier, the sound of the waves crashing against the pilings a low, melancholic lullaby.
Stepping out of the car, you walked to the edge, the cold spray stinging your face. The vast expanse of the ocean mirrored the vast emptiness you felt inside. You leaned against the railing, a sob escaping your lips, raw and uncontrolled.
"Why, Alex?" you whispered into the night, the wind whipping your voice away. The question hung unanswered, lost in the vast indifference of the sea.
As the first fingers of dawn began to paint the sky with streaks of pink and orange, you knew you had to go back. The anger that had flickered earlier had died down, replaced by a profound sadness, a deep ache that threatened to consume you.
When you entered the apartment, the air was thick with a tense silence. Alex was curled up on the couch, a half-eaten plate of takeout abandoned on the coffee table. Her eyes were red-rimmed and puffy, her usually vibrant face pale and drawn.
Shame flickered across her face as she saw you, quickly replaced by a defensiveness that faltered as she saw the raw vulnerability etched on your own features. The sight of your pain seemed to yank her back from the ledge she'd been teetering on.
"Alex," you started, your voice hoarse from crying. You wanted to unleash a torrent of words, to express the hurt and confusion you felt, but the words wouldn't come. All you managed was a choked sob that escaped your lips.
She flinched, as if struck, and her eyes welled up again. In that moment, the dam broke. She scrambled to her feet and threw herself into your arms, burying her face in your shoulder. Her body wracked with silent sobs, the sound a physical manifestation of the pain she'd been trying to hold back.
You held her close, stroking her hair gently, the unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. This wasn't the apology you craved, not yet, but it was a start. A silent acknowledgment of the hurt inflicted, a fragile bridge reaching out across the chasm that had opened between you.
As she cried, you whispered reassurances, letting her know you were there, that you wouldn't leave. The night may have been long, filled with tears and doubt, but in the quiet vulnerability of the morning light, you found a flicker of hope. The road to healing wouldn't be easy, the trust that had been shaken would need to be rebuilt, but as you held Alex close, you knew your love for her was strong enough to weather any storm.

“Oh Jesus fucking Christ—” you groaned.
Alex’s tongue curled inside your aching walls like fucking ecstasy, making your toes curl and your mouth open in a silent scream. The blonde’s face was being propelled in and out of your cunt by the rhythm of which Narcissa was fucking her.
The older woman was on the bed on her knees holding Alex’s hips with one hand, while her other held a leash attached to a collar. A collar which was around your neck, squeezing your airway in the most delicious way. With a swift tug from Narcissa, your body spasmed as you were pulled closer towards Alex’s savage mouth.
“Such a good girls for your mistress my Darlings… pet, my love, don’t fight it… That will only make it harder, just relax for your mistress…” Narcissa cooed lustfully, before punctuating her words with a couple twisted thrusts into the blonde’s dripping pussy.
“Oh FUCK Mistress—!!” Alex cried out, panting heavily and shaking lightly.
Alex was sandwiched in between the two of you, on her forearms and knees, and taking Narcissa’s plastic cock as it pounded into her from behind. Her eyes were rolling back as she fought to continue to eat you out while coming closer and closer to climax herself.
Your head lolled back, your body splayed out on the bed, legs wide for Alex’s face and Narcissa’s gaze. Your wrists were bound together above your head, along with the collar around your neck. It was tight enough to stifle some of your noises, but not enough to choke you out entirely. Every time you attempted to squirm away from underneath Alex’s relentless tongue, Narcissa would ruthlessly tug you even closer by the leash attached to your collar…
“Fuck I’m gonna… gonna cum again Mistresss please…!!” You moaned mindlessly, thrashing beneath Alex’s hot mouth and tugging at your restraints and leash.
Narcissa only tightened her hold on you and only fucked Alex harder, making the blonde spew moan after moan into your soaked cunt. Alex’s administrations faltered as she quickly approached her own high.
“Shit Mistress m-me too God Please!!” Alex begged, holding onto your thighs for dear life as Narcissa pounded into her from behind.
“Alex, Darling, make our pet cum. Once she has, then you may as well…” Narcissa purred.
Alex didn’t need anymore prompting, swiftly diving back into your core. With a couple more tongue thrusts into your pussy, your walls were clenching around Alex’s tongue as you came. Your back arched as you tugged against your wrist restraints as Narcissa held your leash tight while pile driving into Alex. The walls of pleasure around you came crashing down as your body spasmed in white, hot pleasure.
Alex was quick to cum right after you, falling over the edge, her cunt clenching around Narcissa’s cock. The blonde and your screams of pleasure coincided and echoes throughout the room reeking of sex. With one final thrust from Narcissa, Alex’s body collapsed onto the bed, along with yours.
Narcissa was quick to remove the strap-on and come up to the two of her girls. She caressed each of you, giving you light forehead kisses and making sure to untie you. You were panting heavily, just as Alex was.
“Darlings, you both did so good for your mistress… such good girls…” the older woman praised.
After you had both gotten a chance to catch your breaths, Narcissa ushered you two to the lavish bathroom in order to clean you up and then get you ready for bed. You followed the older woman’s command mindlessly, knowing and trusting her every word. Your heart swelled in delight as the night ended with Narcissa cuddling both of you in bed, where your eyes got heavy quickly and it wouldn’t take you nor Alex long to slip into deep slumbers.

Beautiful Stranger*
Tumblr media
Title: Beautiful Stranger
Pairing: Alex Cabot x Reader
Summary: Alex and Y/n go home together after meeting at a bar.
Minors DNI, 18+
Warnings: smut, vaginal fingering
Word Count: 1580
Y/n nervously fiddled with the folded up piece of paper in her pocket. Her day had been much less stressful than she thought it would have been. Still, this night out at the bar was more than warranted. Not only was it at the request of her new law firm, but it was also a staple of new lawyers to get their first drink here when they got hired.
"I still think you're a traitor, but I am proud of you," Casey said as she sat down with their drinks. Y/n accepted the Long Island iced tea, happily sipping on the straw as she watched Casey sip on her whiskey. "Eventually you'll have to find a nicer drink than that."
"But for now, I'm perfectly fine where I'm at," Y/n said. Casey kicked at Y/n under the table playfully. They had a good banter going on, one that reflected their very sibling-like relationship. Y/n was the little sister that Casey had always wished for growing up. Casey had an actual little sister, but Denise wasn't nearly as much fun for Casey to be around.
"I guess divorce lawyers are allowed to have a bit more fun than the rest of us," Casey teased. Y/n flicked some of her drink off of her fingers at Casey, who shook it off.
"You've been a lawyer for a whole year and a half longer than me. What exactly do you know?" Y/n asked. It was a challenge, or at least an opportunity to show off. One that Casey was not going to pass up.
"I know a ton of stuff. Over there is Serena Southerlyn, an ADA for homicide. There is the SVU Executive ADA, Elizabeth Donnelly, and the regular ADA, Alex Cabot." Y/n's focused was lost on anything else Casey said the moment she laid eyes on Alex. Casey sighed as she watched her best friend fall for the prickly SVU ADA.
Casey didn't bother to tell Y/n that it was a bad idea. Y/n rarely ever actually went after women whenever she saw them, especially in places like this. Casey just watched as Y/n tried to subtly stare at Alex all night. They finished their drinks, and Y/n's must have been strong because when Casey went up for her third, Y/n took her chance to talk to Alex.
"I don't think that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Y/n Y/l/n," Y/n introduced herself. Alex looked surprised, as if Y/n had completely caught her off guard. Casey was about to go rush over to Alex's aid, but a different blonde caught her eye instead. Surely Y/n wouldn't mind if Casey tried to shoot her own shot with Serena on the other side of the bar.
"Alex Cabot. We're not going up against each other in court, are we?" Alex asked. Y/n shook her head as she leaned against the bar.
"Probably not. I was awful with criminal law. Luckily, a decent divorce firm in the city was hiring," Y/n said. Alex looked like one of the girls in school who would have torn Y/n apart, but she was much nicer than any of them had been capable of. The two of them spent hours talking with each other at the bar together until they noticed that the other patrons were clearing out.
"I don't want our night to end here," Alex said as she stepped out of the bar with Y/n.
"You could come back with me," Y/n offered.
"I'd like that," Alex said as she took Y/n's hand. The two of them walked in the direction of Y/n's apartment until they stumbled upon a cab waiting for them. There was a giddiness between the two of them, one that neither woman had felt in a long time. An aura of lightheartedness that didn't end even as they made their way out of the cab and up to Y/n's apartment.
The threshold of the apartment found their drunken giddiness turn into something a bit more lustful. Y/n tripped over her own feet while trying to take her shoes off and accidentally pinned Alex against the door. Alex let out a small gasp as she realized how close Y/n was to her.
Y/n's eyes flicked upwards, meeting Alex's as neither woman tried to move away. Alex brought her hands up to rest along the back of Y/n's neck. She hoped that Y/n would take the hint and lean in for the kiss. Alex would have been mortified if she had misread Y/n's signals. Luckily for her, Y/n caught on, and after what felt like eternity to Alex, Y/n leaned forward and kissed Alex.
The press of Y/n's lips against Alex's were gentle. Y/n's hands came up to grip at Alex's hips, and despite the obvious strength in them, Y/n was gentle. Alex felt a warmth spread throughout her body as Y/n pressed her knee against Alex's center. The blonde's head was starting to feel a little fuzzy, both from her growing arousal and the drinks at the bar.
"Take me to your bed," Alex said. It was forward enough that even she was surprised by her words. Y/n didn't need to be told twice, and happily led Alex back to her bedroom.
A formerly discarded skirt was kicked off to the side as Y/n led Alex towards the bed. Alex hit the mattress with a soft sigh. She sank deeper as Y/n moved on top of her. Y/n leaned down to kiss Alex once again, this time busying her hands with undoing each of the buttons on Alex's shirt.
The material felt expensive, as if it could have paid a month's worth of rent for Y/n's apartment. And still, it ended up pushed aside onto the floor with the rest of Alex's expensive clothes. Y/n pressed on without a care in the world for anything aside from Alex. Alex seemed to be in a similar mindset as Y/n and just wanted things to progress a little faster.
Alex did her best not to be pushy, but she was still grinding her cunt against Y/n's thigh as they made out. Y/n could feel the slick heat from Alex's cunt against her skin, making her fingers twitch slightly. Alex could feel the twitch against her scalp from the hand balled up in her hair.
"Please, I need more," Alex pleaded. Y/n hadn't expected Alex to sound so desperate, nor did she expect the power trip from it. It was intoxicating for Y/n to know that she was the one making Alex wet, even more than the alcohol had been. Y/n felt like she was on a power trip as she teased Alex's cunt with her fingers.
Alex's breathing grew heavier and heavier with each swipe of Y/n's fingers near her entrance. Alex bucked her hips trying to match Y/n's movements to catch her at the right angle, but Y/n was too good. She kept Alex on edge waiting for the sweet feeling of relief to come. Alex didn't know whether she wanted to feel Y/n's fingers rubbing against her clit or fucking in and out of her until she came screaming Y/n's name.
"You are so pretty like this," Y/n muttered into Alex's ear as she dropped down a little. The angle gave Alex exactly what she had been craving. Y/n's fingers slipped inside of Alex and moved slowly at first with shallow little thrusts. "Do you want more? Do you want me to fuck you harder?"
"Please," Alex whimpered. Y/n, who didn't need to be told or asked twice, quickly sprung into action. She let her fingers go as deeply into Alex as they could before pulling them out and pushing them back in. It quickly became almost too much for Alex's body to handle, especially with the curling of Y/n's fingers inside of her. Alex grabbed onto Y/n's shoulders and dug her nails into the skin as she felt her body try to turn into itself.
"You're so close Alex, I can feel it. Cum for me sweetie. I want to see how beautiful you look all blissed out. Let me see," Y/n softly commanded. Her tone was firm, but gentle, something that Alex had never experienced with another lover before. She didn't want any of it to end, even though she wanted to do exactly what Y/n told her to. Eventually, the sensations became too much and Alex was forced to let go of her composure as her orgasm washed over her.
"Don't go," Alex begged as she clung to Y/n. The woman hadn't moved away from Alex except to move off of her body. Y/n laid right beside Alex, who pulled Y/n's arms over her waist. It barely took any time for Alex to fall asleep with Y/n holding her in bed. Sleep came to Alex with an ease that she had never known before, not even in past relationships. It was something that Alex doubted would be available to her when the sun rose the next morning, but she was happy to indulge in for the remainder of the night.

Alexandra Cabot has always been a private and reserved person for as long as she can remember. Even when she was a kid, she had been a selective kid and pretty reserved about what she liked and wanted, so that meant that she had very few friends, and never actually kept any contact with them. But that had changed when she started college. At first, she had said that she’d fully focus on her studies only, she was always the top of her class, so she was not about to change that here, and if that meant zero friends, then so be it. But after her first class, she ran into a girl in the hallway, making all of her books fall to the floor, and once she had them all back in her hands with the help of the girl, she couldn’t help but stare at her and the girl had done the same. That was the day when Alex and y/n had become close friends.
Their whole career, they had stuck by each other’s sides and had pushed the other to become the best in their classes. Alex would be lying if she said that she would’ve rather stay alone and go through the years alone, she had actually been happy to have someone by her side who was at her level, and who never stopped her from being herself and getting what she wanted, though they had their differences, they got alone pretty well, and Alex loved that about y/n. After graduating, they had parted ways, both women wanting different things with their careers, but even then, they never once lost contact and if they ever needed anything, they were just one call away.
And that’s how y/n ended up being Alex’s roommate three years later. On a random day, y/n had told Alex that she would be moving to Manhattan and that she had been trying to find a place to live but everywhere she went, was either way too expensive for her at the moment, it was a complete shithole, or it was too far away from her new job. So, Alex thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea if she offered y/n her guest room. Her apartment was pretty big, in a good location, her guest was actually never used, and Alex definitely didn’t mind the company of her best friend; and she was right, once again, she had taken the best decision. It turned out that y/n was working in White Collar, and she had been transferred to Manhattan, so at the end of the day, they wouldn’t be working too far away from each other.
Coming home to y/n was probably the best thing ever, they had dinner together, they shared their work with each other whenever they were stuck or they needed another perspective, they had lunch together, they basically almost did everything together. After a whole year living together, Alex couldn’t picture herself in another situation, she couldn’t see herself living alone anymore, which once again brought back those old feelings; that crush she never mentioned when they were in college. Their friendship was so good and beautiful, unlike any other friendship that Alex had had before, so of course she didn’t want to lose that. If having y/n in her life meant she’d only have her as her friend, then that’s how it was going to be.
“Hey Lexi?” Y/n asked softly as she walked into the living room.
“Yeah?” Alex turned to look at y/n and smiled softly.
“We’re out of fruit and milk, I’m gonna head tomorrow to the store after work. Is there anything you need from the store?”
“I can come with you. Maybe something pops up while we’re there.” Alex smiled.
“That sounds good.” Y/n smiled. “Okay, I’m gonna go get ready.”
Alex frowned as she sat down on the couch and placed her notepad in her lap. “You’re going out?”
Y/n turned to look at Alex and smiled softly. “Yeah. Some colleague got me involved in a blind date and I said I’d go, thinking it was actually a night with them but…it’s a blind date.”
Alex’s smile fainted as she nodded, looking down at her notepad. “Good. Uh…I hope you have fun.” She looked back at y/n and offered a small smile. “Let me know if you need a ride back or if you need anything.”
“I will, thanks, Lexi. I’ll see at the office tomorrow.” Y/n smiled before she walked out of the living room.
It wasn’t that Alex was not conscious that this would happen sooner or later. Hell, she even went on one or two dates herself, even before y/n had moved in with her, she’s had her one night stands and dates, but after y/n had arrived, there was no one else but her. But Alex was pretty conscious that sooner or later, y/n would settle in Manhattan and then she’d start dating. She had also told Alex that she’d find a place once she was stable enough with her job, but Alex had insisted that she really didn’t mind her staying there, now that was their apartment and she liked it that way. But y/n could find a partner soon, and then maybe she’d one to have her private moment with them, which of course crushed Alex’s heart but she knew it was also her fault for never talking to y/n. There was nothing she could do.
********************
“How’s the Gilbert case going?” Y/n asked as she took a sip of her drink.
Alex shrugged as she took a bite of her sandwich. “It’s okay. I’ve got like…three witnesses. There is no way that he’s getting out of this one.”
“How could he when you’re prosecuting him?” Y/n grinned and went back to eat her food.
Alex stared at her for a moment and grinned, nodding her head. “So…you never told me about your date.” She looked down at her notepad even if she was really not paying attention to it.
Y/n looked back at Alex and shrugged. “It was okay. I mean…she’s really nice. She works with us, but I never noticed her before.”
“Are you…going out with her again?”
Y/n shrugged. “I’ve been pretty busy to think about that. But…maybe I wouldn’t say no to another date.”
Alex nodded softly as she looked back down at her notepad. “Right.” She cleared her throat. “By the way, I’m going out today with the squad. I’ve been promising that I’ll go for drinks with them, and they finally reminded me of it.” She chuckled.
“They just want to see you loosen up a bit.” Y/n chuckled softly.
Alex frowned as she shook her head. “What do you mean? I do loosen up.” She grinned.
“Oh, c’mon, Lexi. When was the last time you actually got drunk?” Y/n raised her brow.
“I…I don’t know. I can’t remember.”
“Because you haven’t…never.” Y/n laughed softly.
Alex rolled her eyes playfully. “Okay, so? What’s the point of getting drunk?”
Y/n shrugged. “I don’t know. It’s fun.”
“Oh, so much fun. I remember taking you back home and having you barely standing on both feet.”
“Hey! We do not mention those times.”
“Too late.” Alex laughed as y/n threw a chip at her, laughing with her.
Later that day, Alex had met the squad at a bar near the precinct, and it seemed like they were celebrating that Alex was finally going out with them. The first half hour she had only been listening to the rest of the squad talking about cases or some old stories they had, she had also been refusing to drink anything else than a glass of wine, but when the squad started asking for rounds of beers -and a shot or two-, Alex couldn’t help but drink along, ending up joining into the conversation and laughs. She was happy that even after all the stress and anxiety in the last few days, she could feel a bit relaxed and happy, suddenly every bad thought had been pushed away.
“So, Cabot. Anyone in your life?” Fin raised his brow as he looked at Alex.
Alex furrowed her brows as she looked at Fin. “I’m married to my work.”
Elliot laughed. “C’mon, Alex. Didn’t work with Langan?”
Alex laughed as she shook her head. “Oh, that was a mistake. Do not remind me of that date. It started and ended right there.”
Olivia laughed as she nodded. “We thought we would lose you that night.”
“Never. It was a complete mistake.” Alex sighed as she looked at her drink. “And no, no one in my life.”
“What about that girl you’re always with?” Munch asked as he looked at Alex.
Alex raised her brows. “Are you guys spying on me or something?” She chuckled. “And y/n, she’s my best friend. She lives with me. We’ve known each other since college.”
“Best friend? You sure about that?” Elliot grinned as he took a sip of his drink.
“She’s going out on dates. So yes. Just my best friend.” Alex took a sip of her drink and then shook her head again. “Why are we talking about my miserable love life? Let’s talk about something else!” She chuckled softly with Olivia.
After an hour or so, Alex had had more drinks than she was supposed to have, losing count of them at some point and forgetting that she had to go back home alone. She had told Olivia that she’d be okay, but Olivia could tell that Alex didn’t really mix drinks, ever, and if she let Alex go alone, she didn’t know what could happen. So she took the liberty to grab Alex’s phone and find y/n’s phone number and dialed it. After the phone call, Olivia smiled as she heard the worry on y/n’s voice and the way she said she’d be there as soon as possible to pick up Alex. Olivia then knew that Alex was completely oblivious of y/n’s feelings, and she was pretty sure that y/n was just as oblivious. Not too long after, y/n arrived and introduced herself to everyone, a shy smile on her face as Alex almost screamed her name when she saw her. She was wasted.
The whole ride, y/n had tried not to laugh as Alex kept singing whatever song played in the radio, every now and then, she’d turn to look at her and make sure she was still okay, but Alex looked like she was full of energy, which made y/n realize that once in the apartment, it would be a complete ordeal to get her to sleep, and that was if she was able to, a little afraid that Alex would end up being sick and would have to stay close to the toilet. Once they got to the building, y/n had her arms wrapped around Alex as they walked to the elevator. Alex had been talking nonsense the whole way to their floor, her arms securely wrapped around y/n. Y/n wanted to laugh as she had never seen Alex this way, maybe she had made a mistake to tell Alex that she had never been drunk because she was completely wasted, but y/n found it cute at the same time, and she had no problem in taking care of her. When they were inside the apartment, y/n made sure to sit Alex down so she could go close the door properly and make sure it was locked, but just as y/n left Alex’s side, she started to call for her.
“Y/n! Where did you go?” Alex whined as she leaned back against the couch. “Don’t leave me here!”
Y/n chuckled softly as she walked back into the living room. “Lexi, I’m here. I’m not going anywhere. I just had to go lock the door. We don’t want someone walking in.”
Alex groaned. “Right. Well, come here now.” She extended her arms as she smiled. “My arms are waiting for you.”
Y/n bit her lip as she held back her laugh. She shook her head and took a deep breath. “Alex, you’re going to bed. It’s late, and you’re drunk. You need sleep.”
Alex groaned again and whined as she let her arms fall. “But y/n! I want cuddles! Why won’t you want to cuddle?”
“It’s not that I don’t want to, Lexi. But you’re drunk. We can cuddle once you sleep.” Y/n walked to her and helped her get up, wrapping her arms around her waist.
Alex wrapped her arms around her neck and sighed. “You smell so good. You always do.”
Y/n sighed. “So, drunk Alex says her undying love for everyone, huh?” She grinned as they started walking to Alex’s room.
“Mmm…no.” Alex shook her head. “Just for youuuu.” She laughed.
“Right.” Y/n chuckled as she sat Alex on the bed. “You think you can change into your pajamas?”
Alex shrugged. “Can I?”
“I sure hope so, or we’re about to be uncomfortable in the morning when I tell you that I helped you change.” Y/n smiled as she went to Alex’s closet to get a fresh pair of pajamas. She then walked back to Alex and placed the clothes beside her. “Here, try to change while I go to the kitchen.”
Alex nodded rapidly. “Aye, aye, captain!”
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully as she walked out of the room and into the kitchen. She grabbed a snack thinking that maybe at some point in the night, Alex would get hungry, or even right at this moment. She then grabbed a glass of water and some pills for her to take in the morning. She turned off all the lights and then went back to Alex’s room, finding her already laying down in bed but mumbling something as she looked up at the ceiling. Y/n placed everything on Alex’s nightstand and then proceeded to get Alex’s clothes from the floor and the bed, walking to the bathroom and throwing them into the laundry basket. She went back to Alex’s bed and stared at her for a moment, smiling softly. Even drunk, Alex looked adorable and as beautiful as ever, it was almost frustrating. She took a deep breath as she went to Alex’s side and took off her glasses.
“Okay, Lexi. Time to sleep.” Y/n placed the glasses on her nightstand and then looked back at Alex. “You’ll worry about your makeup in the morning.” She tried to pull the covers so Alex could get under them but then Alex’s grabbed her hands.
“Y/n…please stay with me. Pretty please.” Alex pouted as she looked up at her.
Y/n chuckled softly. “Alex, you need sleep.”
“And I’ll sleep but stay with me. I don’t wanna be alone.” Alex pouted again, bringing y/n’s hands to her lips, and kissing them softly. “I want you here.”
Y/n’s breath hitched as she looked down at Alex, nodding softly. “Okay. I’ll stay with you.” She smiled softly and then went around the bed to lay down with Alex.
Before she knew it, Alex was moving and wrapped her arms around y/n’s middle, her head landing on y/n’s chest and sighing happily. Y/n couldn’t help but smile, wrapping her arms around Alex and kissing her head softly. It wasn’t the first time they cuddled, but there was something behind this moment that y/n couldn’t quiet tell what it was, but if she was given the chance, then she’d take it. They stayed quiet for a moment, y/n had started to trace patterns in Alex’s back as she looked up at the ceiling. Eventually, Alex started mumbling again, making y/n frown and look down at Alex, trying to figure out what she was saying.
“What are you saying?” Y/n whispered softly.
“I’m upset.” Alex said softly.
“Upset? Why upset?”
Alex sighed. “Y/n.”
Y/n frowned. “Y/n? What did she do?”
Alex sighed again as she looked up at y/n. “She doesn’t know. And I can’t tell her.”
“What doesn’t she know? Is there something you wanna tell her?”
Alex shrugged. “Maybe.” She rested her head again on y/n’s chest. “But can’t.”
“Maybe if you tell her you’ll stop being upset.”
“But then she’ll be upset.”
Y/n suddenly felt butterflies in her stomach, and not the good kind. She knew Alex was drunk, but she had also known that sometimes drunk people spoke the truth, and maybe there was something Alex had been keeping to herself and she hadn’t told y/n not to hurt her. And suddenly she was scared of what could possibly be in Alex’s mind, but she knew better than to push.
“Alex…you should sleep.”
“But I don’t want to.”
“Why not?”
Alex sighed as she looked up at y/n. “I wanna talk to y/n.”
Y/n smiled softly. “I’m here silly.”
Alex smiled. “That’s right.” She chuckled softly. “You beautiful.” She bit her lip, her hand suddenly going to y/n’s face, first stroking her cheek and then her fingertips touched her lips softly. “I like your lips.”
Y/n chuckled softly. “I like yours.”
Alex stared into her eyes and then bit her own lips. “I wanna kiss you.” She whispered softly as she stared at y/n’s lips, almost to herself, but since she was really close to y/n, she heard it.
Y/n gulped as she looked down at Alex. “You’re drunk, Alex. You don’t mean that.”
Alex frowned. “But I do.” She whispered softly, she then sat up and turned to look at y/n. “You…you don’t wanna kiss me?” Her face looked so sad as she asked, making y/n’s heart break a little.
“Alex…” y/n sat down and sighed as she placed her hand on Alex’s cheek, stroking it softly. “I do. But…you’re drunk. I will if this is what you still want in the morning.”
Alex whined. “But I want now.”
“Alex, I-“
Before she could say anything else, Alex placed her hands on y/n’s neck and closed the gap between them, kissing her lips tenderly but also hungrily. Y/n gasped softly, her first thought was pulling away, but her lips seemed to think on their own as she kissed Alex back, her other hand landing on Alex’s waist. Everything seemed to happen too fast as Alex moved to straddle y/n’s lap, pushing her against the pillows and swiping her tongue against y/n’s bottom lip, y/n giving her access right away and moaning as she felt Alex’s tongue. But then the taste of alcohol made her realize what was happening, her hands going to Alex’s shoulders and softly pushing her away, both women panting as they stared into each other’s eyes.
“Alex…this is…” Y/n swallowed as she tried to catch her breath. “I’m sorry.”
Alex sighed as she got off y/n’s lap and laid back down on her side, looking up at the ceiling. “I’m sorry.” Her eyes started to get teary as she bit her lip.
Y/n turned her head to look at Alex and sighed softly, moving close to her, and kissing her head softly. “You’re drunk, Alex.”
“Just…please don’t leave.” Alex rapidly went back to her arms, burying her face in y/n’s neck.
“Never.” Y/n wrapped her arms around her again as she sighed.
She didn’t know when they both had fallen asleep, the room had fallen into silence as they held each other and after that, both women lost track of time. Y/n groaned softly as she moved and tried to reach for Alex, but then she figured out that Alex’s side was now empty. Y/n opened her eyes and turned her head to try to find Alex, for a moment her mind stupidly thinking that she might’ve fallen to the floor, but then she heard Alex groaning in the bathroom and she stood up rapidly, almost running to the bathroom. She sighed as she found Alex kneeling in front of the toilet. She knelt beside Alex’s and held her hair as she threw up, she had been hoping that this wouldn’t happen, but after seeing how drunk Alex was, she knew it would come at some point during the night.
Alex sighed as she rested her forehead against her arm, mumbling that she was done, y/n stood up and flushed the toilet. Y/n helped Alex get up slowly, trying to not make her dizzy as she tried to stand still. Alex looked at y/n and told her she wanted to brush her teeth, so y/n helped get in front of the sink and got her toothbrush and paste out, preparing it for her and handing it to Alex. After she was done, y/n helped Alex get back to bed and helped her drink some of the water that y/n had brought for her. Alex then laid back in bed and sighed softly.
“Stay?” Alex whispered softly.
Y/n nodded as she crawled back in bed, wrapping her arms around Alex and smiling softly as Alex wrapped her arms around her middle again, feeling Alex’s breath against her neck. Right after, both women fell asleep again.
********************
Alex groaned loudly as she tried to stretch, groaning again as she felt her head pounding badly. She opened her eyes slowly and looked around her room, trying to figure out why her head was hurting that badly. As she slowly sat down, she turned to look at her nightstand and find a glass of water with some painkillers. She looked back around her room again and frowned. She took two pills and then decided to get out of bed, whining as she felt both her head and her shoulders heavy. She then went to the bathroom to wash her face and try to wake up a little more, and as she looked at herself in the mirror, the memory of last night hit her. Shit. She got drunk. She was with the squad, and she stopped counting her drinks. She got drunk. So drunk. And then it hit her again. Y/n. Y/n had seen her like this.
“Fuck.” Alex cursed under her breath as she walked out of the bathroom and out of her room. She slowly walked to the kitchen and stopped in her tracks as she noticed y/n in front of the stove, making breakfast.
Y/n turned her head and smiled softly. “Morning, Lexi.”
“Morning…” Alex whispered, not moving an inch, scared that if she moved, something would happen, or y/n would say something. But she knew they had to talk about last night. She needed to know what she did.
“Breakfast is almost ready. Sit down, I’ll get the coffee.” Y/n smiled as she turned her attention back to what she was doing.
Alex nodded softly and went ahead to sit on one of the stools, her eyes never leaving y/n’s. As she looked at her, she tried to figure out what had happened the night before. She remembered drinking and laughing with the squad. She remembered that they had asked about y/n, and then they started talking about something else, and that’s when she started losing count of her drinks. She remembered being in the car with y/n, making a fool out of herself, and then she remembered getting home. She remembered she had laid in bed, and she had asked y/n to stay. She remembered going to the bathroom and throwing up. But there was something missing, something happened before she woke up to go to the bathroom.
Y/n placed the plate in front of Alex along with her mug. “I’m sure you’re hungry.”
Alex looked at her and offered a small smile. “This looks delicious, thank you.”
“I know you love pancakes with bacon.” Y/n smiled as she grabbed a plate for her and went around the kitchen island to sit beside Alex.
Alex took a bite and smiled softly. She wanted to at least have a bit of food in her system before they started talking. She was sure y/n knew what had happened last night but maybe she was just acting nicely to not make Alex feel bad about it. Eventually, both women finished breakfast and just sat there with their mugs in hand. Alex kept trying to look at y/n, but she would stare back at her mug, wishing the coffee was endless.
“So…about last night.” Y/n started, looking at Alex. “Do you remember anything?”
Alex shrugged. “Not everything.”
Y/n nodded. “What do you remember?”
Alex sighed as she looked at y/n. “Being at the bar. I remember losing count of the drinks. I remember being in the car with you, and then getting home. It’s kind of blurry but I remember going to bed, I was…” she blushed slightly. “I guess I was being clingy, and I asked you to stay.”
Y/n smiled softly. “Yeah, you were cute.”
Alex huffed a chuckle as shrugged. “After that, everything is blurry. I remember getting up to throw up. And then I woke up.”
Y/n sighed as she looked back at her mug. “Got it.”
Alex frowned. “Oh, no. What did I do?”
Y/n looked back at Alex and chuckled softly. “Nothing bad, Alex. Just-“
“Something happened, I know something happened. But I cannot remember. And you know. So, what did I do?”
Y/n took a deep breath as she looked down at her mug again. She nibbled her bottom lip as she tried to put her words in order. “Well…at some point you…started mumbling. You said you were upset, and you wanted to tell me something, but you never did. And then…you uh…you started saying that you wanted to…kiss me.”
Alex closed her eyes as she looked away. “Oh, god.” She whispered softly.
“And you did.”
Alex snapped her head up, turning to look at y/n. “Y/n, I-“
“I kissed you back.” Y/n huffed a chuckle. “We basically made out.” She nibbled on her lip again as she tried to talk again. “I…I shouldn’t have kissed you back, Alex. I am so sorry.”
Suddenly, memories started to appear in Alex’s mind, sighing as she shook her head. “No, y/n…I shouldn’t have kissed you. I…I was drunk, and I was- god. I am so sorry.”
“I took advantage of you, Alex. I should’ve stopped you the moment you kissed me.”
Alex looked back at y/n and frowned. “But I kissed you. I took advantage of you.”
Y/n looked back at Alex. “I wanted you to kiss me.”
Alex’s breath hitched. “What?”
“I wanted you to kiss me.” Y/n shrugged as she looked away. “I had been wanting you to kiss me for so long…I…I got so lost in the kiss, I didn’t know what was going on until I figured out too late. And…I’m so sorry, Alex. I wished so badly for that moment to happen, and it happened, and I couldn’t help it. And then I wished that you’d remember, and you’d want to do it again, but sober. And I-“
“I do.”
Y/n looked at Alex, a hint of hope in her eyes. “You do?”
Alex smiled softly. “I was not upset at you. I was upset at myself because…I never told you that I had feelings for you, and then you started going on dates, and I thought it was too late.”
“I started going on dates because I thought I needed to get over you.”
Alex chuckled softly as she shook her head. “Please, don’t.” She smiled. “I want to kiss you. And I want to be with you. I am so sorry that I had to get drunk for me to tell you this, and that our first kiss had to be that way. I’d do things differently if I could.”
Y/n smiled, standing up and getting between Alex’s legs, her hands going to Alex’s cheeks and stroking them softly. “Then let’s have our second kiss.”
Alex smiled softly as she placed her hands on y/n’s waist and leaned in to kiss her lips softly. Even if y/n had to admit that last night’s kiss was everything, this had topped that kiss; it was everything she always imagined when she thought about kissing Alex. So tender, so sweet, so full of emotions, there was nothing left to say after the kiss, they were talking through it. Y/n couldn’t help but smile against her lips, breaking the kiss but staying in place, making Alex smile too.
“You know.” Y/n whispered softly, looking into blue eyes. “You’re very clingy when you’re drunk.”
Alex chuckled softly. “Please never let me get drunk again.”
Y/n chuckled as she kissed the tip of her nose. “I’ll think about it. Because you were really cute.”
Alex rolled her eyes playfully. “I’ll be clingy, but I’ll never get drunk again.”
“Deal.” Y/n smiled and kissed her lips softly again.

The Waiting Game
Tumblr media
Alex Cabot x reader Req'd by anon. Warnings: language, alcohol consumption, hurt, angst. For the sake of what happens we're basing this early seasons Alex, it may be a little ooc, but whatever, we're going with it. Just under 2k words.
You’d been watching hot wax drip down the side of the candle into its holder for what felt like hours. Then again, you’d had time to slowly sip through two and a half glasses of wine so maybe it had been hours, you’d been avoiding looking at the time. Waiting on Alex was nothing new, while she was known to be punctual, having her schedule down to a perfectly timed dance, there were often steps that she fumbled, or completely forgot. It seemed like tonight you were one of those steps.
You’d waited at the hostess stand, thinking maybe she was just running late, caught on the subway or something. Eventually your reservation time had come and gone, the hostess letting you know if they didn’t seat you, they would have to give away your table. You’d been dreaming of dinner at River Café for months, the waitlist was huge so there was no missing tonight, at least, not for you. Fifteen minutes passed your reservation time you buckled and ordered a glass of wine, feeling bad every time the server came over, though you could feel the awkward sympathy wafting off her with each interaction. Forty minutes after that you’d gotten another glass of wine and guilted yourself into ordering a gnocchi appetizer, you were starting to feel terrible for holding up a table in the girl’s section.
As you watched another trail of wax drip down the candle in front of you, the flame flickered before snuffing itself out and you felt the tears burning their way into your eyes, knowing that wasn’t the only thing with an expired shelf life tonight. The server came by once more, asking if you wanted a fresh glass of wine and you felt that terrible feeling surge through you once again, you both knew that she’d be making a much larger tip off a couple at your table, one who was probably waiting in the lobby. The self pity morphed into anger as you asked for the cheque, it wasn’t your fault, Alex’s not showing up was what caused this entire awkward situation. And by now, you were done waiting.
Part of you wasn’t surprised at all when you unlocked your shared apartment to find it dark. You’d originally been hoping that moving in together would help solve the problem of Alex never being around. You knew she was busy, that her work required a lot of having dinner interrupted, calls in the middle of the night, or court days going into overtime. But if you lived together she could be doing that paperwork on the couch while you cooked dinner, you’d get the hours of at least eight pm to seven am together. The mundane tasks of everyday life would be brightened by the other’s existence in the shared space rather than trying to find time to meet up during the week only for Alex to have to shift it around three times before her schedule finally calmed down. Instead the apartment was just as dark and cold as your entire relationship felt at the moment.
You stepped out of your heels, hanging up your coat and plopped the to go bag down onto the kitchen island before you moved through the space, flicking on a couple of lights and grabbing a cardigan from over the back of the couch. You poured yourself a glass of wine, settling in at the island. While you weren’t really hungry, the waitress had taken pity on you when you asked for the untouched gnocchi to be packed up and had thrown in a free slice of cake. Solidarity between those who had been stood up. At least someone was looking out for you.
A glass and a half of wine later and you finally heard keys clinking in the lock, the door swinging open a moment later and Alex finally graced you with her presence.
“Hey.” She greeted, a small, tired smile on her cheeks while she slid out of her coat, her bag finding a home on the small table in the entrance.
“Were you stuck at a crime scene?”
“No. No new cases all week, I was getting ahead on paperwork when Liz came by with a couple of law journals for the Henderson case.”
“When does that one go to trial again?” You asked, exhaustion seeping through your body.
“God, with the way his lawyer’s pushing motion after motion probably not for months.”
You pushed away from the island, expertly avoiding her embrace as you moved past her toward the hallway, “wow. I think I would’ve preferred you be cheating on me.”
“What?” Her brow furrowed, her brain finally catching up to realize that something was wrong, there was more going on than just her coming home late. “Why are you so dressed up? Did I miss something?”
“Clearly nothing important!” Your voice raised as you disappeared into the bedroom, hastily tearing the dress and fancy clothing off your body, to replace it with leggings and a tee, pulling a hoodie on top of it all. “Would it kill you to look at a fucking calendar for once? You were the one who wanted it colour coded so you wouldn’t miss things!”
Alex’s head swivelled to look at the fridge, her heart sinking into her stomach as her eyes swept over the last two weeks. There were more than two notes written in pink that she’d completely missed, no wonder you were upset.
“I’m sorry.” She sighed, turning back your way as you re-entered the main part of the apartment, “work’s just been a bit hectic this week.”
“Don’t start. For the love of God. You just said you were getting ahead on paperwork and your next trial isn’t for months.”
“Where is this coming from?” Her hand reached out to grab your forearm and it took all your power to not shove away from her, “you don’t act like this…. One dinner and one movie night. I’ll make it up to you this weekend.”
“You don’t get to tell me how I act.” You took a shaky breath, “because you’re never here Alex! You barely even know who I am anymore! I ‘don’t act like this’ because every time you miss a date, are late coming home or maybe you’re physically here but you’re mentally not I just let it slide. Because it’s always work!”
“So you’d rather me be cheating than have a heavy work load?” She fired back and you huffed, so she had heard that after all.
“Honestly?!” You raised a brow, “yeah, yeah I would. Because then I would know what to do. But instead you’re not here because you’re off saving the world, putting rapists behind bars, holding victims hands while they panic over testifying. I can’t even remember the last time you actually held my hand.”
“I can’t help that I have a demanding job!” Alex could feel her blood beginning to boil now, to her, this was coming out of nowhere. You’d always been good at talking your issues out, especially when it came to each other, she’d already had a long week and it was only Wednesday. She was frustrated with defence attorneys, judges turning down motions, she was tired. She’d been looking forward to a quiet night, a nice glass of wine to wind down with but instead you were getting up in her face.
“That you chose, I know. But you also chose to have a girlfriend Alex, or have you forgotten that? Because I’m starting to feel like you have.”
“I always come home to you.” She protested and you rolled your eyes with a groan, which riled her up even more.
“You come home here because these are the apartment keys you have.” You shook your head, tears threatening to spill down your cheeks, “I’m just an extra body in the apartment, the weight on the opposite side of the bed that you’ve gotten used to. And I’m fucking sick of it. You didn’t just work late tonight, you completely forgot about dinner, about me, left me feeling like an idiot in a fancy restaurant and it wasn’t the first time you’ve done so. You make me feel insignificant. Isn’t your significant other supposed to be important, a crucial part of your life? But you, you’ll run off at any hour of the day, any hour of the night to go be the highly esteemed, important big girl lawyer that needs to save the entire world. You’re not a fucking super hero. You ever think of that? Ever think that maybe an actual human being who you claim to love, should come before your fucking career?”
“Did it ever occur to you that nothing is more important than my career?” She was pissed now, sure she’d been frustrated before but you were doing nothing but dig into her, your words sharper the longer you went on, “you’re acting like a fucking child!”
“So that makes me insignificant? Your job really means more to you?”
“Nothing! Not even you!” The words slipped from her lips before she’d really thought about what she was saying. That maybe now was the time for a proper, full meaning apology, that the right kind of words could solve this. She needed to be on your side, understand where you were coming from, talk things out strategically, right now she was just going for blood.
But she’d said it.
She couldn’t take it back.
Even if she wanted to, she probably wouldn’t, because in that moment she realized it was true. Not specifically trained on you, but she did value her career over everything else. It was why she let it consume every ounce of her life. She had to prove she was good, capable, that she could do anything she put her mind to.
The room froze. Your head was spinning. You’d never expected Alex to just go out there and admit it, but here she was, apparently all it took was a little bit of push back from you. Maybe you should have had this fight earlier.
“Wow…” You whispered, slowly stepping back from her in the direction of the door, “that’s cold. Even from you.”
“Sweetheart…”
“No!” You yelled, “you said what you meant and you meant what you said.”
“We can try and fix this….”
“We’re way passed that point by now. You’re married to your job, just accept that. And maybe lead with that point for anyone in the future, let them know they’re not going to be anything more than a side piece because we all know what you actually care about.” Two more steps and you were scooping up your bag, hand on the door handle, “goodbye Alex.”
Your final words to her were whispered, knowing if you tried to say it any louder she would hear the shake in your voice, that you wouldn’t be able to hold back the tears. You needed to at least make it to the elevator, you refused to let her see you cry, refused to be tricked into her embrace. You would break, the warmth of her arms fooling you into a false sense that something like this would never happen again when you knew within a matter of days it would. You needed to stand your ground.
Alex watched the door swing shut, the gust of air from it poofing through the room, a wave of coolness following it and she shivered. The moment you stepped out of the apartment you’d taken all the warmth with you and she suddenly realized exactly what you’d been saying. She’d become so adjusted to having you silently around it was as if you were as inanimate as the glow of light from the lamp in the corner of the room, the warmth seeping from your side of the bed to hers.
No matter how long she waited, the heat never kicked in, the apartment had never felt so cold.

Hiraeth
You throw your trench coat over your right arm, as you enter into the precinct where your services are needed.
During your trek, you fervently attempt to convince yourself that being a defense attorney was the best choice for your future as you prepare yourself to defend someone who's most likely done something abhorrent.
You pan your head upwards as you walk, your previous efforts to thwart the nausea arising within you failing. You turn the corner, and your eyes immediately fall onto the three people gathered around the two-way mirror, looking into the interrogation room, intensely watching the man you presume to be your client. You're just about to avert your gaze when you process the identity of the woman just a few feet in front of you.
There's no way in hell.
You stop in your tracks as you see the blonde turn back to the window after saying something to one of the personnel. There's no mistaking her; haughty smirk playing on full lips, assured posture and a phlegmatic air, all qualities only flaunted by one particular woman you've ever known.
You halt your gawking and pick up the pace of your walking as you think of how this is going to play out. As you approach, they all turn their heads and you're subject to the scrutiny of their cold looks. You bite back a laugh as you see the distaste in Cabot's eyes quickly be replaced by shock. Her face doesn't change, but you know her well enough to know when she's masking.
"Alexandra." you trail, looking her up and down, taking this time to absorb the way her figure looks in a pantsuit.
"Always a pleasure." She retorts coldly. You smirk softly as her blue eyes continue to bore into yours.
"Pull back your goons Cabot, you should know better than to allow them to speak to my client without counsel." You say, and she shoots you an icy glare as she knocks on the glass, signaling the detectives to leave.
They look off-put as they exit the room, confusion spreading across their faces as they watch the silent brawl between the blonde and yourself. The detectives look between the two of you, and it's become obvious that the tension is far beyond that of standard professional banter. You deliver to her a condescending pat on the back as you enter into the room where your client is sitting.
A chill runs up your spine when you finally lay eyes on him; he scans your body as you sit down across from him, and you feel the sudden urge to hop into a scalding shower. You soon leave the room after instructing him not to speak to the cops, and inform him of what's to come.
He's off your hands for now, until initial appearance, which is tomorrow. Cabot is still standing outside the door, balancing herself on her hands, leaning against the ledge underneath the window and speaking to a detective. You walk out and she immediately stands up, straightening her posture and crossing her arms across her ribcage lazily.
"Arraignment is tomorrow morning; 8:00 a.m. Don't be late." You say, heading for the exit.
“When have you ever known me to be late to a court appearance?" Shes asks, as she rolls her head back to look at you.
“A lot can change in a decade." You say, a borderline sinister smile plastered on your face. That comment definitely pissed her off.
You enter into the courtroom, and take your place next to your client. You don't even attempt to look at the blonde a few feet away from you, keeping your eyes focused solely on the judge. You give his plea of not guilty, followed by a short speech before the next topic commences.
“We will now hear the people on bail." The judge states as he casts his sight towards Cabot.
"The people request remand, Your Honor. Given the violent nature of these crimes, this man should not be out on the streets, and should also be considered a serious flight risk given his extensive financial resources, and double citizenship." Alex vocalizes, her monotone pitch never faltering as she speaks.
"That's excessive. My client has deep ties to the community, and these outrageous accusations hold no merit as of now. However, as a show of good-faith, he will agree to surrender his passport on the condition he is released on OR pending trial." You express.
Cabot audibly scoffs, and you pierce the skin of your palm with your nails to prevent saying something to warrant being slapped with a contempt charge. The judge scans between the both of you before delivering a ruling.
"I'll have to agree with Miss Cabot this time, defendant is remanded without bail." You glare at Alex as the judges gavel comes down, motioning for the next case to be heard.
The trial is unsurprisingly messy. There's charges of witness tampering being imposed, and the impartialness of multiple jurors is called into question, trudging this case along even further. To add to it, the media frenzy surrounding this particular case is abysmal due to your client being CEO of a high-profile corporation.
The jury initially came back hopelessly deadlocked, but upon request from the judge to reconvene, they came back with a narrow verdict of not-guilty. A technical win for your client, and you to be honest, but not something that made you joyous by any metric. Both you and Alex are burnt out, given that you each fought tooth-and-nail. You had almost forgotten the blonde's fervidness until this case.
You wake up on your couch, still in court attire, files and papers scattered all over the coffee table. You check the time, seeing it's just after 9 p.m and decide to head out for a drink, God knows you need it after this case. Not wanting to walk the few blocks, you hail a cab and zone out in the back, going over the case in your head while on the way to the bar. You remind yourself of the "win" as you try to focus on something else.
"Ma'am. Ma'am, we're here." The driver says. You snap your head up, leaving your existential thoughts for later, tossing a $20 towards the driver, and exiting the vehicle. You enter the decently populated bar, and head straight towards the bartender.
"Whiskey sour, on the rocks." You tell her, and she slides you the drink, offering a sympathetic smile as you sit down.
The events of the last few weeks had obviously taken a toll on your appearance. You happen to glance to your left and see the absolute last person you want to see right now.
Alex Cabot.
Cursing under your breath, you pull your head back to your right in a failed attempt to conceal your face. She's already heading towards you, drink in hand. You grimace at the ass-chewing you're about to endure at the hands of the slender blonde.
"Congratulations." She remarks derisively, dropping her fist onto the dark-colored counter you're leaning on. You stay silent, downing the last of your drink, and immediately propositioning the bartender for another. If you had to guess, Alex is in a few drinks deep, but her wit never fumbles.
You plan to leave quickly after this encounter, but she sits down beside you. A few moments go by, and no words are exchanged. It's just the both of you being consumed by overwhelming tension, and white noise of the bar.
You finally decide to say something after you're halfway through your second drink. Compliments of the booze, it's admittedly not anything intelligent.
"For what it's worth, you gave it your all." You mutter, keeping your eyes fixed on the chestnut-colored liquid and clinking ice in your glass as you twirl it in your hand.
"That isn't worth a damn thing, you and I both know that." She retorts, giving a facetious smile following the statement.
"You signed the death-warrant on this case by letting Barney Fife in there question my client without properly mirandizing him." You say, turning towards her and coming off more condescending than you intended.
Silence consumes both of you once again.
"Defending people who commit these crimes doesn't bring me jubilation, Alex. I'm only doing my job, just like you." You let out, pinching the bridge of your nose between your thumb and pointer in annoyance at her prosecutorial righteousness.
She looks at you, and understanding flashes in her eyes, but it dissipates just as quickly as it appears. She begins to get up, but some foreign feeling within you doesn't want her to leave.
"This definitely isn't how I imagined our reunion." You avow softly, finally looking her in the eye.
Alex's sternness falters just enough for her to crack a smirk, and return your gaze. She sits back down, and you talk about the case for a bit before starting to reminisce on old times. You decide to call it a night after a few hours, grabbing your coat and heading for the exit.
"I'll walk you out." She says. Alex's demeanor is no longer cold and distant, it's warm and her guard is partly down, and you silently lend tequila credence for that one.
You walk out together, sharing comfortable silence before you're suddenly being pinned in the brick alleyway by the intoxicated blonde. Alex's eyes are hooded and blackened with lust, a look you haven't recognized in her for almost twelve years. Arousal stabs you in the stomach as she places her hands flush with the wall you're up against.
"Alex..." You warn, but your voice betrays your subconscious, and comes out as a needy whisper.
"Yes?" She teases, before bringing her lips to your neck, making your breath hitch in your throat.
She lavishes the skin with soft, open-mouth kisses, and your knees begin to give out.
"We agreed last time this was a bad idea." You say with much less conviction in your voice than you'd like.
“A lot can change in a decade, can't it?" She mocks.
Normally you'd be more than pissed having your own words used against you, but the lips attached to your pulse point keep your brain from being able to come up with a snide comment. Just as her teeth make contact with the flesh beneath your jaw, your resolve tumbles down completely. You're gasping for air as you grab her wrist and lead her towards your apartment.
The short distance is closed within minutes, but it's still not quick enough, as your patience wears thinner by the second. As soon as the door to your apartment opens, her lips are on yours, and you're once again being pinned against a wall. Your brain has finally caught up, and you gain the forethought to impose your positions, and pin Alex's hands above her head in one swift motion.
“Damn, I didn't think you—oh fuck." Whatever snarky remark Alex was about to throw your way quickly dissipates as you pull her earlobe between your teeth.
Her head falls back onto the wall, and her eyes flutter shut. You smile to yourself as you exploit every last one of the blonde's erogenous zones on her neck by memory alone.
You eventually unpin her hands, letting them fall to her side. Your hands roam her waist and hers settle on your hips, rubbing random shapes with her thumbs. The nerve-endings in your body feel like they're being torched with each soft touch Alex burns into your skin.
Every breath, wandering hand, and whimper coming from Alex hits you at once. It's been forever since you've been in this position with her, and yet the effect she has on you has not waned even slightly.
The kiss you two have shared since entering your flat never fully breaks as her skillful hands begin working at the buttons on your pants. Yours begin toying with the buttons on her shirt. You slip the garment down her shoulders, exposing the slim frame endowed with alabaster skin that you longed to taste.
Your hands run up her back and down her arms, leaving her sighing into your mouth. She pulls you closer by the waist as you slowly trace over the hem of her bra, eventually moving your hands upwards, and mirroring the same movements across her collarbone.
“Bed?" You ask before this goes any further. You wanted the blonde writhing beneath you with need, and your couch would simply not suffice for what you had planned.
Alex nods and follows suit behind you. Before you can even close the door, her hands are attached to your body once more, roaming feverishly. You kiss and nip at her neck before running your hands down her stomach, and quickly undoing her belt. You pull back, and use this as an opportunity to partially undress. You aimlessly throw your shirt and pants across the room and she does the same.
She settles herself on your bed, her hair splaying out from behind her. Alex licks her lips predatorily as you straddle her, and begin to run your hands up and down the length of her body. She pulls you down, and moves in to recapture your lips.
Your hands move upwards to cup her breasts, earning a mewl from the blonde. You exploit her surprise by slipping your tongue into her mouth, eliciting a low groan from her. Your tongue scrapes over her mouth in a desperate attempt to remember each area, and you pull back after a few moments.
"I missed this." You whisper against her lips, your eyes still closed.
"Fucking me?" She asks, clearly amused.
You let out a gentle laugh, letting your head fall back before casting your eyes down to hers.
"Yes, that's obvious given our current situation." You respond, biting her bottom lip and lathing the swollen flesh with your tongue.
Alex brushes a strand of hair from your face, putting it behind your ear. She dons a lopsided smile before speaking.
“So, are you going to recite love poems to me, or are you actually going to show me how much you missed me?" She asks, her voice low.
You let a seductive chuckle fall from your lips before motioning to unclip her bra. The material falls, and your hands immediately slide up her stomach, and begin to brush over her nipples. She exhales sharply as you bring one into your mouth, flicking your tongue over the sensitive bud. You feel it harden between your teeth, and soften as you run your tongue over it gently.
She sputters as you deliver a particularly harsh bite to her skin; you reach your hand down to slide her underwear to the side, involuntarily groaning at the wetness you discover. You gently push your middle and ring fingers into her, and she gasps at the intrusion. You pump in and out of her slowly, her hands grasping at your sheets the longer you continue. You know this alone won't bring her to orgasm, but you enjoy the frustrating effect this has on her.
Alex whines after a minute and you can tell she's getting impatient. Her hand grips your wrist, and she pulls until she guides your fingers out of her with a gasp. She pushes your hand upwards towards her clit as she spreads her legs apart further.
You decide to give her what she wants, and slide through her folds until you reach her hood, pulling back to reveal the bundle of nerves to your finger pad. You rub tight circles over her clit, and her legs begin to shake just moments after.
"Don't stop." She pants out, seething beneath you.
“Wasn't planning on it." You say slyly, reveling in your control over her.
You pick up the pace even faster and her back arches off the bed, signaling she's about to go tumbling over the edge. After entering her once more, and circling her clit languidly, she does exactly that. She lets out an exasperated moan and grips your shoulders hard enough to leave reminders in the morning.
You continue your movements, letting Alex ride out her high until you see her wince. You slow down, keeping your hand in place so she can control her breathing before you stop completely.
"Fuck." She says after a minute. You remove your hand from her underwear, and push your middle and ring fingers past her lips, and she happily obliges your silent proposition. She licks them clean, and you continue lightly bobbing your fingers down her throat until her eyes water, and you remove them.
"C'mon you used to take more than that." You say lowly.
She smacks your arm playfully in response. You lay down beside her and she grips your face lightly, pulling you into another kiss. It's gentle, not frenzied and heated as they once were. You reach over to turn off the lamp perched on your bedside, and pull her body as close to yours as possible.
You wrap your right arm around her chest, and allow the other to run through her hair. Alex's previously rapid heartbeat has slowed, but yours remains erratic. You breathe into her skin as you accept the cycle of fate you're in, with the arrogant blonde at the center.
Something clicks in your mind this time, however, and you know you'll dread the morning when she leaves. You also know you'll choke back your true feelings regarding the blonde and only convey them between her thighs. Words suddenly cut through the darkness and interrupt your ruminating.
"I missed you too." Alex says faintly, so faintly in fact, you can't tell if she actually said anything.
You quickly realize it's reality when she flips over and kisses your forehead softly, her toned arms grasping onto your bare waist as she nuzzles into your neck.
You'll cherish those four words until your demise, but you'll never give Alex the satisfaction of knowing that.
