SAMMY'S GIRL (ii) | s.kerr
Tumblr media
summary: MORE headcanons on your relationship with sam, read part one here.
pairing: fem!reader x sam kerr
notes: getting out lots of little headcanons because they're just so much fun to do. sammy's girl is my favourite of all my girls (completely bias, sorry) but if you want to see what other 'wags' are in my lil universes, check out my masterlists!! each 'wag' is also going to get their own tag, so check those out for little file facts, or ask questions/send thoughts so we can add to them all!! lots of love
as previously established, you’ve grown up with sam right
you’ve known her through every little phase and every weird obsession she’s ever had
you know her deepest secrets and she knows yours
its honestly quite jarring because you both know each other better than you know yourselves
you’re not at sporty as sam, only relaly dabbling in school netball for carnivals and stuff when they needed extra girls
but sam would try and include you as much as she could in all aspects of her career
if she was having a solo gym day, or just going on a walk
guess whos coming with!?!!!
its you!!!!!!
if she wants a swim at the beach for recovery
she is making sure that you tag along
(not just to see you in your bathers, its for recovery, have some professionalism please)
sam has spent half of her life without you and having to settle for seeing you through a screen
so once you’re in london with her permanently, she is making the most of that
she needs to shower? you’re passing her body wash
she’s hungry? shes making two servings and you’re eating with her
she wants a coffee? youre heading to your favourite spot
you are always around
and sam isn’t having it if you’re not
when she does have to go away?
youre getting texts from guro, erin and millie complaining about her
‘omg she wont shut up about you’
‘if sam doesn’t stop talking im gonna clock her y/n, i won’t be held responsible for my actions’
‘she’s at a new level of pathetic, please come get your girl’
but they understand, they love you too
the entirety of the chelsea squad know you’re at every game
they have a dedicated seat for you in the family and friends section
everyone is away that it’s your seat
millie’s fiancée wards people away from it
he once had to face the consequences of sitting in your seat
he wouldn’t wish an angry emma hayes or sam kerr upon anyone
but its not all about sam
she is just your biggest cheerleader
you were able to finish your degree online and were lucky enough that your credentials in australia carried over to the uk
so you started working there
im picturing sports journalism???????? you were forced to be around sport your entire life that it kinda just became a natural thing
you were so well-informed on so many different sports it was crazy
sam loved plugging anything you were writing
you posted a new article? she’s sharing that shit on her instagram story
you won an award for a piece? she’s at the ceremony
you’re working overtime to get a project finished? she’s ordering you dinner to the office
as much as sam is a professional and very famous athlete
she’s still just sammy to you
and she’s never forgotten that
but to her, you are the best thing to ever happen to planet earth
and she makes sure that everyone knows
living with sam is lots of fun
you relish in all of the time you get to spend together
call it making up lost time
sure, she leaves her stuff everywhere
but you’re guilty of that too
you still hold each other accountable
‘sam you didn’t do the dishes’
‘okay and you didn’t hang out the laundry’
‘… fair enough’
making dinner together is just chaotic
sam can only cook breakfast, she excels at smashed avocado
so she really lets you take the reins on dinners
she succumbs to the sou-chef life
you force her to watch movies with you
she argues and says that tv shows are better
(even though you know she’s completely invested in whatever film you’ve chosen)
you have a little brother who just idolises sam
and he has since the day he was born
he was a classic accident child, a real surprise for your parents
but watching him grow up was just the best
hes the biggest women’s soccer fan you know
he’s up-to-date on all of the woso drama
definitely can tell you the entire timeline and drama of the mcfoord relationship
so when he’s old enough
sam flies him over to the uk all the time
he just loves sam so much
he wears her jersey to every game, saying he doesn’t want anyone elses
(maybe maccas, but that’s a different story)
and sam is estatic to have him there
definitely walks out with him as her mascot on multiple occasions
sam isn’t super touchy feely in front of others
but when shes drunk, she can’t help it
she just wants to hold you and she doesn’t care who’s around to see it
sam really loves watching men at bars or in clubs try to hit on you
just to go and ruin their fun
it’s her favourite pastime really
sam’s extra sappy and clingy when tired
after a big night or a tiring game, she wants to curl up next to you and have you hold her until she falls asleep
sometimes it’s a foreign feeling for you
sam is almost always the big spoon
so you really drink in the feeling whenever she feels vulnerable enough to let you hold her for a change
sam is also extra attentive when you’re not feeling well
she’s so doting and always checking in on you
if shes around, you’re being waited on hand and foot
‘are you okay? do you have a temp?’
‘let me get you some water’
‘i don’t like the sound of that cough, y/n’
if she’s away for a game, your phone does not stop ringing
she’s always texting when she has a spare minute
and if she has more than ten minutes to spare, she’s calling you to see how you are
sam just adores you
the fans adore you even more
the amount of tiktok edits of you and sam are crazy
the one of you in the stands after her goal against england in the world cup went viral
the way you jumped out of your seat and almost threw yourself over the barrier was on the news the next day
the clip continuing as sam ran over to your section, as you both shouted in celebration to each other
or the clips in the matildas doco series of the two of you
the lesbians went feral for that shit
everyone wants what you have
everyone wants you
you are that bitch
sam knows it too
and she’s not afraid to let people know just who you are
because you’re hers
forever and always

i think the reason so many people think they are against leather is that they don't distinguish between leather and exotic pelt production. one is taking advantage of the resources we already have while the other unnecessary wastes them
Oh no vegans and ARAs just think it's like. Morbid or something to wear something else's skin. I call it respecting the sacrifice of the animal and not letting any part of it go to waste.
They KNOW this shit comes from cows. But wearing cow skin is disturbing to them. Cow's gonna die anyway. So you're sacrificing the lives of countless fish to save the hide of one cow who's still gonna die, except its hide will rot instead of being put to use. Fucking wasteful.
Tbh there's a common thing of fish not being considered "worthy" of life though. Look at betta bowls, goldfish bowls, fish being given away as rewards at carnivals. A lot of people consider fish more on par with insects in the compassion department despite their intelligence and ability to feel pain and socially bond. And vegans/ARAs MASSIVELY show their hand and morals when they buy pleather knowing the environmental impact is has on microplastics in the ocean, but I guess the life of a few thousand fish aren't more important that the life of one cow who's gonna die anyway ay?
They bitch about the biggest impact to the environment? It's pollution. You're not polluting shit when you take an animal's hide and tan it and make it into a vest or shoes or what have you. But pleather? The entire production process is pollution.
But vegans don't care cuz they don't have to think about it. That's pretty par the course. "Plant food is humane" while ignoring the pollution from pesticides, the billions of animals killed every year from combine machines like deer and foxes and wildlife, to pesticides, to the people like me who are hired to shoot wildlife what feed on plant crops so it can reach THEIR tables.
Miss me with that "It's grown to feed livestock too." I was a stockman and all the cattle and sheep I ever drove were free-range grazed.
How's that soy taste, lads? Cuz it's watered in blood. Let's also ignore the human fucking slavery of avocado plantations, of quinoa farms, how the people who work the land to grow your food are kept indentured and paid so little they can't even afford to buy the fucking food they grow to export to you tarts. Where's your compassion and decency there, ay? You'll protest against dairy calves being taken from their mums cuz dairy cattle have zero maternal instinct and will sooner crush their own calves than raise them but you're silent on Nestlé? Modern slavery in the modern day doesn't get a word of protest from your bleeding hearts ay?

Ideas for shops on the QSMP for the new economy.
From what I've seen, the only time the parents are spending money instantly without a second thought is when their kids ask for something at these events. Ex. Bad buying the eggs backpacks during valentines, Foolish giving Bad 1k for the avocados (not during an event, but still proves the same point), Tubbo buying the kids masks during carnival despite trying to unlock create, etc etc.
So, instead of solely focusing on the adults, I think a better way to jump-start the economy is to instead focus on the kids. Here's one at the top of my mind:
A Bookstore:
Now with the different modded colored books, a cc can create a bookstore (when shops are opened) with short 2-3 page stories (or longer) about anything and sell then as a series for the kids to read and enjoy. Eggs like Pomme would love it. Or cookbooks (for Chayanne), or Create Manuals (this one can be for the adults too, just an example). The short books can also be a great way to introduce things about different cultures. We all grew up on different children's stories, some similar and some completely different. The books are also keepsakes, meaning you can put them in your room, shelf etc to reread. They can alsp be used to read as bedtime stories and an excuse to visit or participate in the economy with other creators.
Language books could also be a thing honestly, writing short sentences and grammars or common phrases in the different languages.
As a bookshop owner, you could buy rights to the books from the different ccs and then sell in your store to others if you dont want to write. Since the eggs can't run any store, it gives eggs like Pomme and Dapper that write a lot a place for their talents and information to be appreciated, and ultimately this is just a way to boost the economy system. More things can always be added later.
If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Listen ConcernedApe I just wanna talk...
... about what these different things could be. And I just need things to think and type about. (This is going to be a WALL of text, fyi.)
Tumblr media
I do not know what is considered a 'mini festival'. If it is like what the Winter Night Market is, then I get it; A festival that doesn't stop you from going into a part of the map to set up and time will still progress while it takes place. As for what they could be? No idea.
The only thing I can guess is that there is a high chance that none of the new festivals will happen in Winter, due to it having the WNM along with Feast of the Winter Star and the Ice Festival.
There is a mod out there that adds a festival that I would personally love to see in vanilla game play called the Festival of the Mundane. it changes the sewer map into a fun carnival for the Shadow People that you have to wear a mask to attend. Obviously it can't be that exactly but I had to give it a mention.
Tumblr media
Okay, so, what is this thing? Honestly, judging by the shape and the circle in the middle, I want to say this is a seed for a Stardrop fruit. Maybe in the update it will be our turn to actually try and grow one of these instead of being gifted the fabled fruit.
But that also makes me wonder, how hard will it be to get this seed to maturity? I mean, the Sweet Gem Berry takes a whole month, same with the Ancient Fruit. Maybe growing a Stardrop would take a whole year? Maybe a whole year of manually watering the plant yourself (no sprinkler) to prove that you have earned that extra 34 points to your energy bar?
Tumblr media
I love CA's art style, very occasionally I will not be able to tell what things are and I want to make this clear, I think that adds to the charm of the game's art style.
This is the case here, because I can tell this is most likely a crop of some sort, but that is all. Because it is three of the crop bunched together, I think it might come from a plant that gives out more than one at harvest; Like Blueberries and Coffee beans. Maybe these are just plain ol' beans, lol. For a small bit, I thought this might be Jicama, but I am not sure about that any more.
Tumblr media
Fish TV Fish TV Fish TV. I have been wondering what this could be for a while now but I have no clue. We have the Worm Bin that makes us bait and Fishing Ponds can be used to breed fish if used in a certain way, so I have no idea what this machine could do.
Tumblr media
I straight up think this is the top part of an avocado tree. I have seen people call this a bush but the rounded shape in the middle is screaming at me that it is a ripe Avocado ready to be picked. Maybe I am wrong and it is something else, but I swear I know what I am looking at.
Tumblr media
I think a lot of SDV players are in the late-game, if not the end game portion of their files so this is awesome to see!
Something I did not expect to see is a new totem though. We have 5 different warp totems and a Rain Totem at the moment, so this tells me that either;
1) This totem does something similar to the rain totem where you use it and something about the next day is assured. When you have the best luck for the day, the fortune teller Welwick has a Purple Stardrop over their head, and this totem is a very happy looking one with purple... frills? This might be a very weak connection but I can see this being a totem that grants the best luck for the next day.
or 2) We might be getting a new area entirely that requires its own warp totem. I feel like something that big would be listed here, but I can't fully rule it out considering what most of the totems do in-game.
Turning to the remaining tea cup and the ... other thing now. Being able to craft a new tea might mean we are getting another new crop to grow the different kind of tea leaves needed for it. No idea what sort of buffs this tea could grant but the Green Tea we can brew doesn't give any buffs besides more health and energy so really, anything is good. (I actually love the thought of growing different tea bushes than just the one we have now because it would add some variety to my Tea Bush Fence I have around my barns and coops.)
As for what I can only describe as a Quiver, I literally have no idea. This is probably something we would unlock while expanding the Combat skill? Maybe a new weapon type? Maybe we will be able to handle a Bow as a more powerful upgrade from the Slingshot? Or maybe this is just a pencil bag and we will get a new fetch quest to return Jas's lost art supplies. I literally have no idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That explains this image than.
It makes sense that Ginger Island would need a tune up if you go the Joja route. A dirty capitalist doesn't deserve the magical whimsy the Island has to offer /jking. The clearly fake government drone bird is still in an area that doesn't have an upgrade available at the moment so I have no idea if it for something you can currently purchase with golden walnuts or something new entirely, we will just have to wait and see.
And 100+ new lines of dialogue!! Yes!!! Not sure what more to say with this one, it is something people have been wanting for a long time and I am ready for more reasons to talk to the different characters again.
Tumblr media
**rubs my filthy hands together** If there is any other thing that could possibly hint towards a new area to explore, it is that ticket. Imagine being able to finally use that empty train platform at the top of the map, and riding a train all the way to the new area, aaaaa
It is most likely something to do with the new festivals though. In fact, I think all of these things will probably be in the new festivals. The ticket will probably be something you earn in a festival that will rival the Stardew Valley Fair. I know the box looks like one of the boxes that can wash ashore on the beach farm, but it could easily be a purchasable mystery box of sorts. Something you can buy at a carnival stand. And definitely not Shane in the hoodie there is probably a random NPC to be in the background. Or..
Tumblr media
... That is straight up Shane's new winter sprite and he grows facial hair to help keep warm. He is absolutely the type to still wear shorts in the snow, don't at me.
For real though
Tumblr media
This is adorable and it is getting me through. The mods that give the characters alternate winter outfits are so very valid. (Actually, I wonder if this will break those mods? Not sure.)
Tumblr media
Not going to lie, I definitely will need a very good reward to do anything with the normal billboard requests at this point.
But 8 player multiplayer, holy cow. I know there is an exploit that, once used, can allow for almost any number of players on your farm, but this is great for people who do not want to crack open the game files and mess around with the numbers. I am waiting to be blown away by a fully functioning 8 person farm.
Tumblr media
I mentioned this before on my Twitter, and I know this is asking for a whole hecking lot, but I would kill for a Nonbinary They/Them option for the game. I know this would mean hours and hours of rewriting though. Can't help but to want it though. I would love to be able to run to the Wizard's tower and chop off my farmer's gender, heh.
NEW FARM TYPE THOUGH. I know that would mean restarting on a whole new farm (Something I have done recently and don't really want to do all over again) but what more can be offered in terms of farming space?? I know the sky is the limit, but I have this idea of a hard mode; where you have very little farm space over all. Though it could be used to make small, cute and cozy farms that value aesthetic over profit. I have a habit of always going for profit so this would be kind of challenging to me, working on making a nice looking farm.
Also, as a huge lore junkie, I am definitely looking forward to new secrets. Does any one remember when we discovered the weird statues by putting random items in different boxes around the map? There are still some boxes that are just out there but we can't interact with! I would love to see something being done with those.
A couple more things I want to mention that I do not see a lot of people talking about, which I find very weird but eh.
Tumblr media
New... Frogs? Their names are Tails, Shadow and Sonic, respectively. Seriously though, you know how we have Golden, Void and Blue chickens? Are... Are we going to be able to farm and raise frogs? Frogs have always just been this randomly happening creature when you cut grass but look at these cute little guys. I know they could still just be a random background element but the different colors just threw me off.
And lastly
Tumblr media
I am looking through the map and I can't find these trees? (I fully expect someone to tell me they are somewhere and I am just being dumb, hah.) They look similar to the Totally Not Avocado Tree Top, maybe if we do get a new area these trees will be there.
I don't know how to end this post. I just like to talk. Peace.

good things this week:
Kraken training camp! it's almost hockey!
managed to make a single portion of hollandaise with two egg yolks while frying the whites and ended up with a very good egg-avocado-hollandaise sandwich and no leftover egg components to deal with
encountered an employee at Fred Meyer whose voice sounded exactly like Sam Elliott's, it was like a jacuzzi for my ears
was driving to a friend's house and crested a hill to get slapped in the face with an absolutely breathtaking sunset right as clipping's "All In Your Head" hit the "eteeeernaaaaal" part at 3:52 and let me tell you, that was a fuckin experience
my carnival carrots are finally emerging, soon there will be delicious multicolored carroty goodness
got a couple appointments scheduled that were easier than I was expecting and did not require phone calls
first ep of Taskmaster S16 came out and it was great, very much looking forward to watching Sue Perkins creatively cuss out Alex Horne for nine more episodes
the pumpkins are coming along, all three kinds of lettuce are steadily producing, tomatoes and yellow squash are about to hit a ripe-pocalypse, naked ladies are blooming, lemon basil is juuust big enough for me to steal one leaf for a taste and it's delicious
I've been trying so hard to frame things positively in these good things posts and some stuff just cannot be framed positively but here's my best shot: I am grateful for the emotional support I've gotten lately, which has been badly needed

First Weekend Trip!
Saturday Feb 4th:
I woke up at 5 am to get ready to go to the train station for Venice! Emma, Ari, Kailey, and I arrived in Venice at 10:30 am. We were amazed by the view; as soon as you step out of the station, you see the bridges going over the water and all the boats.
Tumblr media
Venice! The weather was mild for February.
Tumblr media
The four of us were hungry, so we walked around, looking for a cafe. We sat outside, and I had a cappuccino and apricot brioche.
Tumblr media
We walked past a man singing opera on our way to the main area, which made me feel like I was in Italy. We went to St. Mark’s square to admire the view and took pictures together.
Tumblr media
Me and Ari!
Then we walked to Acqua Alta bookstore, where we all got a postcard as a souvenir!
Tumblr media
Acqua Alta is a famous photo spot.
Our Airbnb was away from the main area, but it was only a 10-minute train ride! Once there, we changed and headed back out for lunch/dinner around 4 pm. We saw this guy doing tricks for the Carnevale, and he was pretty bad, which made it funnier.
We walked to Very Good for dinner, and I got prosciutto pizza!
Tumblr media
We bought masks at a stand and walked around wearing them! Other people had costumes on, which was fun to see!
Tumblr media
Ari, Kailey, me, and Emma!
We saw a sign for gondolas and decided to go for it because the weather wasn’t bad. I learned that all gondola rides are a fixed price of 80 euros. The gondola ride was beautiful. It lasted thirty minutes. I think we picked the perfect time because the sun was going down; when we started, it was light, and when we ended, it was dark, and the lights were shining.
Tumblr media
Beginning of the gondola ride!
Tumblr media
End of the gondola ride!
Despite it being cold, we wanted gelato and ended up at gelato natura, and I got salted caramel in a cone. Next, we joined the crowd to watch the carnival go by on the river. But, what we didn’t realize was that it was only one big float on the water. It was very extravagant, with elaborate costumes, dancing, and opera singing.
Tumblr media
Once it was over, we walked to McDonald’s for a snack, and I got fries. We took the train back to the Airbnb around 10:30 pm and went to sleep. I got over 32,000 steps that day, despite the train ride. Such a fun day with the roomies!
Sunday Feb 5th:
We had brunch at an American-looking restaurant called Fluffy Brunch; Ari and I had avocado and egg toast, and Emma and Kailey had fluffy pancakes!
Tumblr media
My breakfast! Kailey's pancakes in the background!
Around 1 pm, we went to the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca' d'Oro, and then the Museo di Palazzo Grimani because it was the first Sunday of the month. In Italy, all museums have free admission on the first Sunday. I liked the Museo di Palazzo Grimani more if I had to pick a favorite, but the Florence museums are still my favorites so far.
Tumblr media
Museo di Palazzo Grimani.
When we were walking around, I filled up my water bottle with water from one of the fountains! The four of us decided to find a slice of pizza for lunch to sustain us until we got back home at 8:00 pm. On the train ride back, I read my book and went through all the photos I took! We live 5 minutes from the station, so once we left the station, we were basically home!
My overall thoughts on Venice:
It was so quiet in the less crowded parts because there was no road noise! It felt different from Florence in that sense. The water didn’t really smell; only once I thought it did. Venice was crowded for the festival, and I can see it being very crowded in the warmer months too. I would love to go back and see St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

Riding the Coconut Wave: A Delicious Journey into the Coconut Oil Market
Hey there, curious minds! Today, we're embarking on a flavorful adventure into the coconut-infused universe – where coconuts aren't just a tropical delight but a serious business. Buckle up; this is not your average market report; it's a rollercoaster through the coconut groves.
Tumblr media
Coconut Oil: Beyond the Hype
So, you've probably caught wind of the coconut frenzy and are wondering, "Is this just another health nut craze?" Well, prepare to be surprised; this market is cooking up more than your average avocado toast.
Unveiling the Numbers
Let's talk digits – the coconut oil market didn't just stroll; it sambaed from a modest USD 4.2 billion in 2021 to a projected USD 7.8 billion by 2030. That's a growth rate of 6.40%, and no, it's not because coconuts suddenly learned to cha-cha.
The Showstopper: Virgin Coconut Oil Takes Center Stage
Move over, regular coconut oil; there's a new diva in town – Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Apparently, it's not just a pretty face; it's the healthier option. The cosmetic industry can't get enough of its moisturizing charm, making it the Beyoncé of the coconut oil world.
Global Coconut Carnival: Who's the Host?
Asia-Pacific is throwing the biggest coconut bash, with countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and India leading the parade. It seems they've got more coconuts than we have rainy days – and that's saying something.
The Good, the Bad, and the Coconutty
But let's not get too carried away with the coconut confetti. The market has its fair share of challenges. Price fluctuations are in the mix, thanks to unpredictable weather and geopolitical events. Who knew coconuts were so attuned to global affairs? For More Information: https://www.skyquestt.com/report/coconut-oil-market
Organic and Ethical – The Coconut Buzzwords
In a world that's gone gaga for sustainability, coconut oil is no slouch. There's a growing demand for the organic stuff – you know, coconuts that have seen the world and only interacted with eco-friendly breezes.
Market Magic: Coconut Oil for Every Pot
The coconut's versatility isn't just for show. It's taking over kitchens as the go-to cooking oil. Frying, baking, sautéing – you name it, coconut oil's got it covered. Plus, it's getting cozy in skincare and haircare products, proving it's not just a one-trick pony.
Meet the Coconut Tycoons
Now, let's talk about the big shots in the coconut oil realm. Names like Cargill, Bunge Limited, and Greenville Agro Corporation are strutting their stuff. It's like a coconut-themed fashion show, but instead of models, you've got market leaders.
The Plot Thickens: Global Coconut Oil Dynamics
But wait, there's more drama! The market dynamics are like a soap opera – with drivers like health awareness and restraints like coconut production's mood swings due to environmental factors. It's a tale as old as coconuts.
The Final Scoop
In a nutshell (or a coconut shell, if you prefer), the coconut oil market is no joke. It's growing, evolving, and making its mark in our kitchens and beauty cabinets. So, the next time you're sipping on a coconut smoothie or enjoying a coconut-infused curry, just remember – you're part of the coconut craze, and it's nutty in all the right ways. Cheers to riding the coconut wave! 🌴✨
