How is the relationship between the elemental monsters (like slimes or hypotasises), the cursed Khaenri'ah (hilichurls, the Abyss Order), Celestia, the Traveller, and the Fake Creator and Reader? 2. How much knowledge does the BSD cast have of Teyvat and Reader's identity? 3. How did the Reader disappear for the first time? 4. Is Teyvat self-aware? Is these too much questions? I hope I didn't cross any boundaries. Keep up the work! I'm really looking forward to your new works! Take care <3

1. 1. With elemental monsters: They can feel Echoes of Creator's powers coming from Reader. They don't attack Reader, listen to them. Reader have no reason to worry about fighting with them. Moreover, they would help Reader, if someone tried to attack them. But, if Fake Creator decided to go after Reader themselves, Elemental Monsters won't do anything to help. They won't help Reader or Fake Creator. For Elemental Monsters, both Reader and Fake Creator look like True/Real Creator.

1.2. Situation with hilichurls are similar to situation with Elemental Monsters. But, they can choose sides and can be manipulated. So, there are hilichurls, that would chase after Reader.

1.2.1. Abyss Order believe in Fake Creator. They are searching for Reader, helping humans hunting Reader. Abyss Order manipulate hilichurls into choosing Fake Creator's side.

1.3. Celestia is on Reader's side. They were True Creator's (First one) familiars, they knew, how exactly Creator's reincarnations will look like. They see Fake Creator as an abomination. A crime against First Creator.

That's the reason why Fake Creator destroy Celestia. So they won't tell the truth about Fake Creator.

Celestia is weak, but Celestia gods and Sustainer will give away everything they had to protect Reader.

1.4. Traveler are really confused. Both Reader and Fake Creator have similar auras. Traveler can't tell the difference between them. On one hand, there are poor Reader, who are love in fear of being captured. On second hand, there are Fake Creator, who helped their sibling. Who reunited Aether and Lumine. And Abyss Sibling want Reader's blood. So, Traveler are hunting Reader down.

1.5. Fake Creator hate Reader. Fake are sure, that Reader came into Teyvat to overthrow them. Fake Creator want to kill Reader and absorb their powers. Fake Creator will do anything to get all Reader's powers, even, if it means to do unspeakable things to Reader and their body.

2. For BSD Cast, Teyvat was a fictional world. When they still were in their own world, they were looking through other apps Reader have on their phone, they didn't feel anything strange coming from Genshin Impact. Moreover, they played in Genshin Impact (helping Reader with exploration, chests and oculus) while Reader were doing something else.

BSD Cast weren't interested in Genshin Impact too much. Until Reader disappeared, reappeared, and Capitano followed them.

After that, BSD Cast start looking for an info about Teyvat.

Katai, Naomi, Kirako, teens and kids (Karma, Kenji, Kuyoka, Kyuusaku, Aya, Elise, Sakura, Yuu, Katsumi, Shinji and Kousuke) are searching through Wiki, YouTube, Reddit, Tumblr, TV Tropes, looking for Genshin lore.

Others are traveling to Teyvat through the portal and spying on Teyvat people, learning about Creator.

So, they became knowledgeable about Teyvat and Creator.

They still not sure about Reader's identity. BSD Cast think, that Reader can be either Creator's reincarnation, or Reader simply look the same as Creator. There is no way for them to prove it or disprove. Reader's powers only work in Teyvat, and BSD Cast won't let Reader return there.

Reader's identity doesn't matter to BSD Cast. They love/like and cherish Reader. Reader were hurt. Someone must pay for that.

3. It was an incident. Fake Creator tried to search for more things, that were left from previous reincarnations, so they used a "spell" to transport everything, that have First Creator's powers in Teyvat. And Reader are considered part of "everything, that have Creator's powers".

4. Teyvat is Self-Aware to some extent. It can "feel", what kind of powers, both Reader and Fake Creator. It even can tell, who are real and who are fake. But, its powers are limited.

First Creator add a rule into Teyvat's 'soul', while creating it.

'Humans over all. You can never hurt them on purpose'

Teyvat also can't hurt any reincarnation of First Creator.

So, Teyvat's actions are careful and limited. It can't hurt people, who are after Reader. But, Teyvat can hide Reader, made others stop chasing you because of a bad weather. It can show Reader secret save paths.

Teyvat also can play small 'pranks' on Fake Creator, making them trip, or flooding their Cathedrals and Palace, freeze their gardens.

I got bored and decided to write this. Might expand on this later on

It has been a very long time since you've seen another person that isn't a Fatui staff or the Harbingers themselves.

Even though you're living in this frigid winter for a long time, thanks for Il Dottore's vials. It's still so cold for you, and like the snow, the Harbingers themselves are just as ruthless.

Pierro gestures for another cup, nodding and blood colored liquid streams out and fills the crystal wine glass.

"Nya-!?" A pathetic cry left your mouth when you felt your exposed butt cheek smacked by someone. You had spilled a drop of wine out of fright.

"Wow comrade, even after all that work. You still attend with us here." It was Tartaglia groping you, your abused body started to squirm. The marionette glared at him from her robotic seat.

"L- lord Tartaglia, please we're in public!" Trying to reason is like talking to a brick wall.

Soft moans can be heard while his gloved hand went beyond your ass, probably squeezing him with your thighs alone.

You dare not plead for help, lest you want them to think of it the other way. "Tch, alright, which one of you came in her and didn't even bother to clean her up?" The youngest harbinger scowled and inserted his hand further in, gaining another melodious groan from your lips.

" You seemed awfully compliant today, Balladeer." Grinned the wise doctor.

" Pipe your mouth bird face, that woman's too troublesome to begin with." Scaramouche couldn't stop staring earlier at your writhing figure, more or less staring at the bottle between your chest.

You couldn't drop it, or else they'll use that as an excuse to punish you. Since you're next to the first Harbinger, you could feel his gaze the most even though he only has one eye.

"C'mere, lil cutie." The ginger haired teen pulled you to his lap, his hands touching you all over. Taking away the booze from your possession.

"What a child, playing with food." Sandrone seems disgusted but her eyes are trained on your legs that stretch and curl up when the 11th harbinger gets more risqué.

"____!" That booming voice could be recognized anywhere. You jumped out of the battle lusted man and peered over the balcony. There could only be one person who'd use your actual name in this world.

Far below where blood is spilled for the audience's pleasure and boast of glory. There's the traveller with a rusty, blood-soaked sword in hand with no flying companion to be seen.

The brandish and clashing of steel rang with such zeal throughout the arena. "Traveller!" Finally, a friendly face.

"Traveller, look out!" You moved a bit over the edge, letting your feet be slightly off the floor. Giving an eyeful

Unbeknownst to you, there are whispers amongst the dreadful social elites while keeping an eye on the gorgeous view in front of them. Saying that whoever defeated the traveller will have you for tonight in Pucinella's words, trying to wingman you with the other Harbingers.

No hesitation, Arlecchino, Childe and Capitano jumped down to the battlefield. Weapons ready, and thirst for the foreigner's blood.

Spooked by both of them, causing you to nearly fall if it weren't for Pantalone pulling you close to him.

"Careful little pearl, you'll get hurt." Face against his chest.

" I'll enjoy you serving me tonight with a new bottle of wine I purchased a week ago." He mumbled into your ear. Knowing him, it's probably spiked for you to consume.

" I am in dire need of a new assistant for my current research." The doctor merely chuckles, thinking of all the expressions the servant could make every time he injects needles and serums into her bloodstream. "Try not to eat any cheese, little mouse. My experiment could be ruined with it."

"Hmm… how about this, all of us join forces, it's a win-win." Columbina suggested, yawning.

" For once I agree with damselette, it's rather foolish of us to be against one another… " Pierro agreed.

" Mmph, this will be worth it then." Scaramouche tossed his hat away.

But when he did that something someone stoped him from doing something else it was the same tall man that you had seen before

But other than that you where confused on why you where tied up there to a pole freezing with the land you where in

But you where feeling hot on the inside for some reason, a woman walked up to you the woman had white and black hair not to lie she was attractive

She told you or so reminded you of why you where there she said something about you trying to ruin the fatui's plans with getting what they want, she said in a rough tone

She then went on the tell you her name and the others in case you had forgotten she said her name was Arlecchino and the tall man you where looking at was Pantalone ,pulcinella,Childe,

Sandrone,capitano,dottore and Pierro

Nothing really came to mind when hearing these names since you didn't know any of them only Childe since you met him once in your travels to liyue

But now you knew the name of the tall handsome man you where looking at before Pantalone...

Pantalone seemed to notice you looking at him and something in him clicked now admiring your facial expressions and your body , you looked at him and he saw you he wasn't bothered to look away only moving his glasses to get a better look

You started blushing in a way , after a while Childe noticed you he looked at you wondering if you where cold he did see that you where in a reveling outfit he decided to find something to cover you up

whiles leaving the room trying to look for something to cover you up with Mr pantalone took of his coat and put it on you he was wearing something under it that kept him warm for the moment he just looked down at you

With his stare on your body in his coat , as childe got back he saw you with a coat already he just said "well thats good because I couldn't find anything" putting his arms up just trying to be sarcastic like usual

But his face was now flushed with that pink tone because of seeing you in his coat in such a reveling underneath now he was wondering what you would look like without that outfit and just his coat on nothing else and just that, and now he was imagining you on his lap without anything on

He quickly left the room going to somewhere else, and leaving you alone with this ginger whom started telling you some random stories about plants that he found out

After a while of childes talking,they untied you from the pole and left you with a warning if you ever mess with their plans again they'll kill you

After that you woke up in your house now feeling safe you got out of your bed because they had drugged you to bring you back

As you got out of your bed you didn't feel like you alone it felt like someone was there in your room with you, but you just got up and walked to the bathroom getting ready to shower but before you got in the shower you heard something fall in your room which was strange you left the bathroom to your bed room and saw something on your bed it was a coat not just any kind it was 'his' coat you wondered who brought it there since it wasn't there before but you just shook it off

You got into the shower and started showering and when you got out someone picked you up and threw you on your bed , now you where scared but looking up you saw pantalone over your body

He started moving the hair out of your face with a soft touch he was strange untill he spoke up asking if you where okay with him ... Kissing you

You where blushing and shook your head in response,but he wouldn't just take that he then spoke up

"I want to hear you beg for me"

I feel like he is a little overprotective of you because he has had his heart broken once (based on lore) and he just doesn’t want that to happen to you making sure you follow strict rules like “[NAME] don’t stay out late]” or “[NAME] stay 6ft apart from him.. I don’t want anything happening..” but overall he happy that your happy and just wants you to be safe but it will take some time (meaning centuries) to get used to the traveler)

So with Sandrone then I would feel like she would Insult the traveler more than any other can imagine “Oh! [NAME] is that the new dog Scaramouche and Signora was talking about?” “Its my significant other..” “Someone get animal control” shes really impatient when the traveler tries to speak but cant with all his stuttering all he wants is to say how are they and Sandrone (and all the others probably) just give them the scariest glare

“[NAME] how do you put up with this?!”

When being sent to a random universe they easily are able to discover the area and palace like building, everything is normal except we are older? Again? But where are the harbingers? Confusion all around

This time, Dottore, with the help of an unwilling Pierro, messed around with time travelling again. Hopefully what he would find this time was less gloomy than the other one.

Pierro was there just because he was old and wise, so he probably could tell him where he ended up.

"Careful, we're being pulled in" he said, and they braced for the jump.

Snezhnaya was less cold than the one they came from. But the place was almost the same. People bustling around, the city was lively. Making their way towards the palace, they noticed something different: no agents around. Instead, people coming and going.

"What's happening there?" inquired Pierro, but Dottore didn't know. They entered, and they saw a figure standing there, playing the organ and singing.

A beautiful voice filling the room, angel like. They marvelled at the sight before them.

Waiting for the figure to finish their piece, they looked around. It was just like they remembered, but the icy feeling it had wasn't there: it was warm, welcoming even.

The figure approached them, curious about the newcomers. They gasped: it was their little baby. You were all grown up, and how handsome you had become.

"Y/n" they said in unison, but you watched with amusement. How did they know your name? "Excuse me, gentlemen, who you might be? I've never seen you around here before" you said.

Confusion could be seen dancing on their face. " Don't you remember us?" asked Pierro. Shaking your head, you asked for their name. "I'm Pierro and this is Dottore" he said.

Recognition danced in your eyes. "I have heard of you. You, mister Dottore are one of the most important researcher of all Teyvat. You have changed our medicine and technology so much, you became a myth. And you, mister Pierro, you're the best historian and political figure of our time. I'm honoured to make your acquaintances" you said enthusiastically while shaking their hands.

Wait, what have they become now?

"And if I say the name of Pantalone, Sandrone or Capitano, what comes in your mind? They are our comrades" asked Dottore, trying to prove his theory: Pantalone was one of the richest CEO of the world, owning a number of banks that had the best quality you could ask for; Sandrone was one of the top engineers of Sumeru, and her innovations changed the world as they knew; Capitano, then, was one of the chief officer of the Sumeru military force. Not only he was one of the most gifted soldier around, but his motivation shaped up generations of people.

"Though, to tell you the truth, now that people have left the cathedral, I can tell you the full truth. I remember you two, and all the others" you said, and they laughed. Still cunningly deceptive as a fox.

"I just didn't want to let the people know, I'm already swamped as it is right now. But yes, I know you all. If you are asking, and I'm sure you are, we are still a family, and you still call me baby fox, though I'm not as little as you want me to be" you laughed.

"I see your theory proved successful in the long run. I know you are going to be pulled back, but it was nice seeing you again. Say hi for me, okay?" you waved them goodbye, and they went back

Simultaneously, on different ends of the universe, the harbingers thought the same thing.

Tsaritsa's personal handmaiden is an AMAZING au,

How do you think the harbingers would react seeing darling fighting (someone like the traveler or at least someone sorta powerful thats not in the fatui) or seeing her face for the first time because it fell by accident, or her mask falling down (because it was sorta loose) during a fight.

I don’t remember if the tsaritsa saw her face but what was her reaction when she first interacted with darling before making her, her personal handmaiden and how did she react when she found out that darling can fight?

And why did the darling apply to be a handmaiden for the tsaritsa, is because of money for her family or something else?

Their opinions are bound to change after they've witnessed your combat abilities firsthand. Childe will definitely want to spar with you or, at the very least, reach a level of martial prowess where he catches your attention and gains your approval. Dottore could spend hours picking apart your fighting style and determining how you might fare against machines rather than other human beings or Vision wielders. He's still wondering if you have a Vision or if that's simply your raw power. When she was alive, Signora admired your strength and grace. You could hold your own in a battle while also following the schedule carefully laid out for you, never wasting a single moment. Always on time for Her Majesty.

I like to think that, as intrigued as he may be, Capitano might be the only Harbinger who would shield you if your mask fell. He respects your faceless nature, as he himself also wears a mask for his own reasons, so he understands that you may not be too keen on showing your face to other people. Pierro or Pulcinella might also help you fit your mask back on if it’s fallen, but if they manage to sneak a glance who can blame them? Curiosity has spread its poisonous roots into all of them. The other Harbingers will quietly admire the brief sight from afar, blessed to have witnessed something so rare. They’ll tattoo your image into their minds so they’ll never forget it.

The Tsaritsa didn’t have much of an opinion of you first. You were quiet and unassuming, a demure force who didn’t strike much of an impressive figure. Nevertheless, she saw a certain drive in you. To brave the frigid temperatures of Snezhnaya, to devote yourself to her in a land you were previously unfamiliar with, and to swear to silence whilst in her presence... These things intrigue her, especially the latter. As cold as she may be, she is also a lonely soul who yearns for the warmth that company brings. She assigns certain tasks to you to gauge how well you handle them. She has you deliver reports and briefings to the Harbingers when her usual messengers are occupied. She slowly builds some form of rapport with you with each interaction, and even though you aren’t very talkative she enjoys the moments where your true personality shines through and you give her a rare smile or an even rarer laugh.

She’s pleased to know you can fight. Having the capability to protect yourself and those around you is another factor she considers while mulling over whether or not to promote you as her personal handmaiden. Eventually, one wintry evening, you kneel before her as she officially declares your new role. Your days of being a common servant in Zapolyarny Palace come to an end, and a new chapter of your life begins.

I think the handmaiden’s reasons for joining can be up to your own interpretation! There are many ways it can go. You could be there for espionage purposes, putting on a convincing act as you take in all sorts of secret intel. You could have joined simply for money if your loved ones are having financial issues. You could have joined for some form of revenge—perhaps a Harbinger is to blame for something that happened to one (or more) of you loved ones and you want to get as close to them as possible before getting revenge. Or maybe you were pressured to find a well-paying job and the Fatui seemed like the easiest profession to resort to. Either way, depending on the handmaiden’s reasons for joining, the situations that occur can be vastly different!

i got scara to friendship 4 and decided to put his and childes voice lines about the harbingers + the tsaritsa together!

The Tsaritsa

Childe: "Her Royal Highness the Tsaritsa is actually a gentle soul. Too gentle, in fact, and that's why she had to harden herself. Likewise, she declared war against the whole world only because she dreams of peace. And because she made an enemy of the world, I had the chance to become acquainted with you."

Scara: "Everyone praises her for her kindness and benevolence, but they forgot that love is also a form of sin. What if she's just trying to compensate for something?"

The 1st Harbinger: The Jester (Pierro)

Childe: "He was the first ever Fatui Harbinger, and today he is our leader. He only appears on important occasions. As for his accomplishments... To be honest, I don't really care. I owe my loyalty and devotion to the Tsaritsa, no one else."

Scara: "The Jester is a survivor of Khaenri'ah. Besides that singular fact, I know very little about him, and have never had any kind of close association with him. He seems to want something from me, though. In the past, he assigned me to many important tasks, including a number of trips to the Abyss."

The 2nd Harbinger: The Doctor (Il Dottore)

Childe: "I heard that he took segments of himself at different ages, made prostheses out of them, and assigned different tasks to each one. I know... all my comrades are a little weird. Well, come to think of it, if I met another version of myself... Hah, we'd have to fight then and there to decide which one of us gets to survive."

Scara: "It's a pity that Lesser Lord Kusanali already forced him to erase so many of his segments. The joy I would have derived from slicing them apart one by one..."

The 3rd Harbinger: Damselette (Columbina)

Childe: "The Fatui Harbingers are ranked by strength, and I have no idea why that girl is No. 3. I'd test my skills with every Harbinger who ranks above me if I had the chance, but when it comes to her... something just doesn't feel right. Anyway, you should be careful around her."

Scara: "Let me ask: what should you do if you were to encounter a "damsel" who is oblivious and innocent at any given time, and unconcerned and unfeeling in any given situation? If it were me, I could at least challenge her to a fight. But if it were you... with your conscience, I would stay away from her."

The Captain (Il Capitano)

Childe: "I've seen him in battle before, and oh what a sight it was. Perhaps I'm ranked too low for him to notice me right now. Well, he may not recognize my strengths yet, but one day, I'll show him what I'm made of."

Scara: ""The ever-righteous Captain," "the brave and fearless Captain," "the nigh-invincible Captain"... Even my mechanical ears demand maintenance after listening to so many compliments from the members of the Fatui. Don't you think that possessing absolute righteousness is actually a latent danger? And that's without taking his great personal strength into account."

The 5th Harbinger: The Rooster (Pulcinella)

Childe: "I don't know what his motivations could be, but he seems genuine about wanting to help me. He treats me just like family. Oh, and speaking of family — Tonia and Teucer are always telling me about the pastries and other gifts he brings them when they write. So while I've been away from Snezhnaya, he's kept his promise to take care of my family."

Scara: "Only someone as dense as Childe would think The Rooster is looking after him and his family out of the goodness of his heart. Although the mayor has indeed done a number of things for their benefit, anyone with a brain would be able to tell that the underlying meaning is "your entire family is in my hands.""

The (former) 6th Harbinger: Balladeer (Scaramouche)

Childe: "After he took the Gnosis, we lost all contact with him. Now comes the task of trying to hunt it down and get it back... I actually don't mind it — it means I get to travel all over. Wonder if I'll run into you somewhere along the way?" (this line disappears once you finish the Archon Quest Interlude Act III Inversion of Genesis)

The 7th Harbinger: Marionette (Sandrone)

Childe: "She always seems engrossed in her research. Hmm... I wonder if those machines have anything to do with her? Anyway, I've only met her a few times, but every time she looked like she wanted to murder me. I have no idea what I possibly could have done to annoy her, though."

Scara: "She has a terrible personality and cares for nothing outside of her own research. But even with that amount of dedication, she still produced a copious amount of garbage, and could only secure a ranking that's still one whole place beneath my own. How pitiful."

The (former) 8th Harbinger: The Fair Lady (La Signora)

Childe: "I never got along with her, you know that. I guess there's not much more worth saying about her at this point. When you're a Harbinger, you have to accept that death could come at any time... But don't worry about me. No matter what happens, I'll do whatever it takes to keep myself alive."

Scara: "Nothing remained in her ashes. I have no interest in those who have lost their future."

The 9th Harbinger: Regrator (Pantalone)

Childe: "Oh, now that guy has a head full of grandiose plans fueled by raw ambition. I don't understand a word he says once he starts talking about his theories... Eh, but as long as he keeps our cash reserves stocked up, I'm not complaining."

Scara: "Oh, the ninth-ranked guy. He's obsessed with the idea of "fair exchange", to the point of wanting to overthrow the natural imbalance between gods and humans. But, I guess it's just how ordinary mortals are like — it's easy for them to come up with pointless delusions. Honestly, it's nothing worth writing home about, just like how there's also nothing impressive about his abilities or choice of partner. Hmph. Anyone who chooses to work closely with The Doctor is sure to meet a nasty end."

The Knave (Arlecchino)

Childe: "Look, I've got nothing against people who have their own agendas — I myself joined the Fatui to get more experience in combat. But I don't like her at all. If she stood to benefit from betraying others, she'd turn against the Tsaritsa in a heartbeat. There isn't a sane bone in her body."

Scara: "A wolf in a sheep's clothing. To exert a higher level of control over people, she puts on a graceful and cordial front. Most of those who have seen her true, crazy self... have gone poof."

The 11th Harbinger: Childe (Tartaglia)

Scara: "He's simple of mind and not that strong of body. Naming him to the lowest-ranked seat lowered the Harbinger's collective prestige. Thankfully, I'm no longer part of that group."

Take Care Of Me

Hello. This is not a x reader fic like the other fics i write. The characters in this shot story is mostly about Childe experiencing regression, and letting the other higher up take care of him while he is little.

Enjoy.

After the 'failed' mission in Lyue Childe came back to Snezhnaya, and not long after Scaramouch appeared, both upset and stressed. They were supposed to be big boys, but that's a little hard when you feel stressed. Scaramouch couldn't even stop the tears from falling, fat tears rolling down his face, leaving a wet trail behind them.

His clothes and mind made him uncomfortable, how did he even get on the floor? He didn't understand, everything was shuffling together in his mind. He was regressing, very fast, and there was nothing he or the ginger could do. Peeking through his tears, he blinked and observed Childe on his left, he was only looking around. His mind wandered off as his thoughts traveled back to his clothes, he hated his pants right now, they felt wet and cold, and he hated this. He felt so scared and small, Scara just wanted his mommy to make it all better, he wanted a warm bottle and his stuffed toys.

Childe couldn't make the little one stop crying, he didn't know what to do. He couldn't get him out of this leaking pull-up and change him himself. He couldn't do anything to help him. No one was answering him, all of the other caregivers were busy with their own work, he began fighting back his own set of tears too, he was embarrassed to even speak. They were supposed to be big boys! He was supposed to be a big boy! He knew he couldn't help Scaramouch at the moment, however, he could manage to go find Capitano or another caregiver...

Heavy footsteps can be heard from the big empty halls, loud, deep, and forceful sounds made by someone as they walk. These footsteps created a thudding sound that was audible even from a distance. The sound of the heavy footsteps was echoing loudly in the narrow hallway and muffled on the carpeted floor. Overall, heavy footsteps, powerful and intimidating, and Childe knew exactly who was coming their way.

"Capitano! He just started crying, I didn't know what to d-!" Childe loudly explained, the larger man dragged Childe by the collar to the side, "What did you do." He sounded so strict, Childe didn't like it one bit. He turned his head to the side to dry his tears, "He just suddenly dropped to the ground, you know... he acts like a baby and all.." Capitano pushes past him and bends down to Scaramouch, places his big hands under each armpit and lifts him up, and holds him against his hip.

"Clean up." He huffed. Childe was very close to tears, just those two words ordering him to do a simple task made him nearly cry, and let out a tantrum. He was experiencing intense emotions and overwhelm, and may not be able to hold back his tears much longer. His expression displayed it all, he was visibly upset, with his trembling lips, a quivering chin, and tears in his blue eyes. He was trying to suppress his emotions but found it so difficult to do so. He was also in the need of support and comfort, it was so unfair.

Locking his tearful eyes on the back of the caregiver, he really wished his voice would be heard. He stomped his feet and started crying, showing both physical and verbal signs of distress. The bag and other objects he was holding onto were thrown across the room, as well as hitting himself in the head repeatedly not knowing what to do. He had tears and snot dribbling down his face and he was trying to go somewhere else, eventually his legs gave out and he fell on his bum.

There was no noise besides the loud crying from Childe and small sniffles from Scara, who by now had his thumb in his mouth and head against the caregiver's chest, the comfort he needed. Childe had both palms pressed against his face, attempting to wipe away the mess on his face. The younger jumped a bit at the sound of the heavy footsteps of someone approaching. He had his wet palms sealed over his shut eyes, but he had an idea of who it was, of course he knew it was. It was the man he looked up to, the man who treated him unfairly. He was so scared, scared he was in trouble with Mommy or Daddy for being such a baby, without being little. He was scared of punishment.

"Ajex. Get up." Capitano instructed him, but he was hesitant. He felt too scared, and perhaps a bit small too, but he struggled with his feet when he was feeling like this. He really did not want to be even more of an embarrassment in front of Capitano. "I said get up Eleventh." Capitano hissed through his mask, his voice dropping. Childe let out a small sob while removing his palms from his face, eyes looking at the ground. He was a big boy, he had to try to be a big boy. He took some deep breaths and tried, he put his hands down to steady himself as he got to his feet in front of one of many caregivers. He didn't get to prepare himself before all he heard was a sigh as his arm was pulled.

Childe showed discomfort as he was dragged to the main living room area, he lets out a whimper at the harsh grip on the arm, he knew he was supposed to bite it together and take it, that's what big boys do, they say. Around the corner, he saw Columbina sitting on one of the red chairs they own, she turned around when she heard sniffles and footsteps. "Oh, back already?" she asked as she stood up and walked towards the three. Once Capitano got Childe in the living room, the bruising hold lessened significantly, but Childe was expected to be let go or thrown on the ground, but instead, Capitano offered Scaramouch to Columbina, "Come on, let's get these nasty pants off, Scara" she told the little, and Capitano turned towards him once again.

Childe felt cornered with Capitano's big figure shadowing over his much smaller frame, without thinking Childe tried to make a run for it, but Capitano moved in his way, sending Childe falling back onto his butt. Hitting his head on the wall behind him, making him cry even more, Capitano kneeled down in front of Childe as the ginger harshly fisted his eyes once again. The Eleventh was now preparing himself for any kind of blow from the stronger caregiver. "Was that very smart?" He asked instead, keeping his voice clear, but soft, as he spoke, "Get up, so we can tal-" Childe cut him off mid-sentence "No! It's so unfair, t-that you,,, and al-all the.." he struggled to get his words out between the sobbing. "What is unfair, Ajex?" He was using the caregiver's voice, so soft-spoken, Childe was red in the face. "How he gets all the a-attention! How he gets taken ca-care o-of!! It's unfair, it's not fair..!" Fists were hammering on Captino's board chest, letting the ginger have his tantrum.

"That's because he is little, Ajex. He needs to get taken care of." Capitano explained to him. Childe only shook his head, kicking his legs weakly at Capitano to no avail. Quiet footsteps were heard coming from behind Capitano, and a young caregiver was approaching. "I changed his pull-up to a diaper, and gave him a bottle, so he has quieted down a bit for now." She glances down at Capitano and then at Childe. "Oh, what happened here?" She asked, a sigh coming from the kneeling male. "Would you prepare another bottle, while I change him?" Her face says it all, she blinked a few times, looking at Childe hesitantly before she smiled. "Sure thing!"

Capitano picks up Childe, but not without kicking and the elbows going everywhere, while he was crying. "Easy, we just need to get these big boys' clothes off and put on some comfy ones. What do you say?" Capitano lays Childe down on a mat, he stared at the older man, sniffling a bit. He felt humiliated, he was supposed to be a big boy, wearing big-boy clothes. He yanked down his pants, only stopping for a second when he saw Childe's damp underwear. He asked, "Do you have these accident's a lot?" Childe quickly shook his head...that's what he told himself at least. Eleventh looked away when Capitano took off his dirty underwear, Columbina smiled at him while walking over to the pair, showing Childe the warm bottle.

The wipes, powder, and diapers were laid out on the floor beside them all, Capitano hooked his hands under his armpits, as he did with Scaramouche, and helped Childe to move a bit up on the mat. He gasped as he was pushed into a laying position, his red undershirt was lifted just above his belly button, before pulling the cloth diaper under his butt. Childe visibly showed his discomfort as he let out a whine, he didn't need to wear pull-ups, let alone diapers! They were for babies and he was a big boy, both the caregivers could see the displeasure on his face. "Don't be like that Ajex, you wouldn't need to use them if you didn't wet your pants." Columbina teased him by tapping him on the forehead, making him flinch back.

Childe didn't even notice that his thumb where creeping up to his mouth unintentionally. Childe lifted his butt so the thick padding could be put under him, he really didn't like this. Again, he was supposed to be a big boy, that's what Mommy always said to him. It's not his fault he peed his pants, why did he need to wear a baby diaper because of only one accident...

"Hey, hey.. It's fine," Columbina said once she noticed Childe hiccuping, "Do you want a pacifier?" Her eyes shift from his eyes to his thumb. He perked up at the mention of the pacifier, as he quickly nodded his head and held out his hands, and opened his mouth, expecting Mommy to already have it on her. When she left it didn't take long until she came back with the pacifier in her hand, Childe took it in his mouth immediately. Capitano went back to changing him, taking out some wet wipes as cleaning up the gingers groin area. Childe sniffled a bit, opening his mouth only to close it again, he didn't know what he was trying to say, his voice a little hoarse from crying, "Can I have the bottle...?" It came out as a whisper, however, both caregivers heard him loud and clear. "Soon Ajex, we just need to clean you up a bit! Will you be patient for Mommy?" She smiled at him like his actual mom would, and he nodded.

Capitano powdered his bottom, massaging the powder into all the little nooks and crannies. He sucked on the pacifier to distract himself from all the rubbing, his diaper was buttoned and Capitona patted Childe on the front when he finished. He gasped and the pacifier fell out of his mouth, making him frown. Capitano let out a chuckle as Columbina bent down to pop the pacifier back between Childe's lips, and clipped it to his shirt for the time being. He hadn't had one since that time he sneaked into Capitano's room to get one of Scaramouche's extras, and it was something he surely missed having. He focused on the suckling, while the two others cleaned away his pants and shoes, putting them away.

Childe felt as if he should have fought back, but he didn't as he got picked up by Capitano and placed on his hip, just like Scaramouche was. The caregiver gave him a few encouraging bounces, much to his enjoyment. Childe giggled a bit, forgetting for the time being why he had been so upset, it all quickly came back to him when he saw the sleeping little.

He remembers how unfairly he was treated, and how much he was yelled at.

-The Scarlet Fury of the Fatui, calmly descended the stairs of the domain in ruins where it was. In front of her was the Archon Anemo, escorted by the traveler, the current interim leader of the Knights and that astrologer that she considered somewhat nosy.-

"Next time… if you want to assault one of our caravans with our merchandise, take someone else capable of at least answering me in battle…" -He looked away to a corner of the place, there were bodies of some knights who tried to attacking a Fatui operation, these so-called Mondstadt heroes were always so predictable and foolish. Only in that does he agree with his brother Diluc.

"By the way Jean… How is my pretty friend Barbara? I hope she will like the orchids she sent her… they are something… unique…"

-The Grand Master Intendant tensed, her nerves were on the surface, when Diluc sent a letter informing about her sister, now a Fatui, she could not believe a single word of that letter. Now, she wished she had believed him-

"Well, do you want to start?" -A dark aura enveloped her, while she was holding her weapon-

…. -Scarlet was in her hotel room writing a letter to her friend Mika, she had already finished her mission in her old home, but she wanted to leave something to the cartographer, both had gotten along great during the mission in unknown lands with their superiors. -

-Remember that Capitano wanted to hang her by her ears, after she started to sing that childish song about how Varka and the Harbinger wanted to kiss under a tree. She still thinks they would, if only in her weird teenage fantasies-

"Hey kid… leave this box and letter at the knight's headquarters, I have to leave today."

"Y-Yes ma'am, right away"

She-she sent a hotel employee to drop off her gifts, after tipping her generously for her trouble. The content of the letter was just a couple of random nonsense about their next possible meeting between the two of them, and in the box there were a few paints and pencils that he wanted to give to Mika, as well as a couple of books that he asked for both of them. They could argue, since Scarlet told her about that editorial in Inazuma, that the redhead loved-

-With that done he returned to the safe location that Dottore sent him to tell him his next mission and after that he would return home to play a new game of TCG with his mother the Tsarina, only if Pierro didn't drown her in homework on political literature from new-

I'm dying Reader being so bloodthirsty and unstable, but also doing mundane things 😭 it's such a funny contrast to me + they'd totally befriend anyone they find interesting/worthy of their time. With their brothers/any other tsaritsa opponent: 🤬👊 vs With their friends: 😇❤️

IMAGINE IF THEY WERE IN THE SAME ROOM WITH BOTH, they'd be switching so swiftly it's scary.

+ The harbingers full of their bs but still acting on the role of siblings/parents and indulging in their requests, even if it's a game of TCG. That meeting can wait. Or they can optimise things and play while conducting the meeting, it's not like the lower recruits will have the courage to comment on it.

The harbinger order? is confusing me rant

*Discussion of Leaks, if you don't wanna see it that don't read this*

Okay so I'm sure some folks have seen the leaks that are saying Capitano is #1, Arlecchino is #4, #10 is empty for some reason, and Pierro isn't one of the number Harbingers, he's the director of them which feels like a bit of a weird choice if you ask me, but who knows

Now this makes sense in some parts and confuses me in others but I think mostly what people are trying to make of why the #10 seat is empty is confusing me most and I really don't see eye to eye with a lot of the conclusions people are coming to

Like, oh it's empty because the Traveler will be #10 that's why

But that makes no sense for a number of reasons from the fact that the traveler has beaten Signora who was #8 and while the Harbingers don't seem to be ranked purely based on strength from things that have been implied via voice lines and more, Signora doesn't run any major operation for the Fatui as far as we know like the Northland Bank, House of Heart, or holds any political position of power (once again from what we know)

She likely isn't based purely on strength, but also I bet that likely is a strong reason why she was ranked over someone like Pantalone, though again of course something may be revealed

But yeah if the Traveler could beat Signora with only 3 out of 7 elements, I doubt they'd be ranked under her and also Traveler's connections would be valuable so again #10 for the traveler makes no sense

"Oh there's some plot twist related to it" Yeah there could be, but in what way can we come to that conclusion now currently when there is not a single piece of evidence to prove as much? Plus what plot twist would it even be?

Like saying there will be a plot twist related to it this early when we have nothing to support that notion doesn't give charity and again that is so broad of a conclusion to come to that what would the plot twist even be? Like please elaborate more if you're gonna say that, why do you think that

"For whatever reason, #10 is empty" Honestly, gonna be honest here, if you ask me, I doubt #10 is just empty because no one has filled the role.

I feel like not only would the Fatui agents we've seen would remark on it like they remarked on #6 being empty for hundreds of years following the 3.3 quest, I feel like Scaramouche especially when he was shitting on Tartaglia would also mention that? So I doubt it's just like,, empty because there's been no body in that place before.

"We just don't know#10 yet, we haven't seen them" I doubt there's #10 currently if the order the leakers are talking about is in fact true for a number of reasons because

#1. it's the 11 Harbingers and Pierro does seem to be implied when people say that even if he's the director, like there are 11 (or I guess 9 now), its not the 11 harbingers and their director

#2. We all haven't forgotten the Harbinger Constellations image right? Which only has 11 constellations present and think what you may about what belongs to who, but the teardrop tragedy mask most likely belongs to Pierro given his namesake Pierrot and the teardrop present in his own mask like we see in the Lazzo trailer. While it is mixed with the Tragedy mask as it seems, that teardrop I genuinely would be surprised if it belongs to anyone else

Now, it could, Pierro's presence in this could be solely at the top of the image with that mask, but the thing is that the leakers seem to be emphasizing that we only will see the current harbingers we've seen and Pierro, we will only see those 11 and there isn't another member we will see coming from what Team China has said supposedly

So, yeah the case probably isn't there currently is a #10 and we just haven't met them

If I were to truly believe the leaks that are saying the order is actually this and not what we thought (which admittedly, I am hesitant to believe whole heartedly as it makes sense in certain areas but doesn't in others), then here are the conclusions I think could potentially be the reasons for what's going on with #10

Either, #10 is a retired rank hence why when Tartaglia joined he wasn't given the rank but rather #11, or #10 is in a similar position as Scaramouche with the 3.3 quest and #10 erased at the very least their association with the Fatui, as in erasing from the Irumsul whatever memories and perceptions were had related to their Harbingers title

To explain what I mean when I say retired rank, I want everyone to think of Signora's situation. There likely won't be another #8 or anyone moving up from the rank they currently are at to #8 I would guess due to what happened with Signora. Everyone below her keeps their current rank it doesn't move up like eliminating an option

Almost think like Jersey numbers that have been retired and now nobody can be that number. I think potentially whoever was #10 could have died somehow and out of respect no one ever took on #10 again not even when more candidates for a Harbinger came along

This would explain something like the lack of mentioning of #10 being that it could be a touchy topic, the Fatui avoid speaking of it since they don't wanna be perceived as saying something disrespectful of the late #10, additionally, why would the past death of a Harbinger necessarily be brought up especially in enemy areas like that's info that doesn't need to be discussed y'know?

And as for my other view of it, where #10 erased their existence within the Fatui, I think the only plausible time period for that to happen would be if it happened when Tartaglia had already become a Harbinger but it was before the Traveler started being active

Which could work, we don't know Childe's exact age we only know he's the youngest harbinger and he entered the Fatui initially at 14 (which since they say like "legends say hes been on the battle field since he was 14") I doubt he became a Harbinger at that age, but theoretically from 15-16 to about 2-3 depending years before his current age could be the range I think for when he became a Harbinger and after which #10 erased their association with the Fatui

And the reason I say that is because think of Scara's situation, everyone is already at their set ranks and just because everyone's perception of him was erased, doesn't change the actual events that happened which is why the traveler remembers them. The reason everyone doesn't move up a rank or wasn't appoint as a rank isn't because it was always that empty but because they only now think it was empty all along

Now this point could be where a plot twist happens like what was mentioned, depending on if we get revealed who #10 was and cite like "Oh Scara did the same that's the foreshadowing for how someone else in the Fatui erased and blah blah blah" but like you can't firmly say yet "Oh yeah the #10 reveal is gonna be a plot twist" or "there's gonna be totally a plot twist related to the #10 seat" like

Yeah there's potential for it, there are things set up to where we could come to the conclusion that its the same case for the #10 whether with Scara or Signora, but you can't really use any of that to for sure say there will be a plot twist related to it and things that could be foreshadowed isn't what a plot twist is either so like

I dunno I just don't like the idea of saying for certain when we only have leaks especially to go off of and literally nothing related to specifically the #10 seat in game, that there will be a plot twist related to it

Again, these are all leaks, there are things to support the idea, things could still change, there are things that contradict them a bit and will need further explanation in game to trust

We're just gonna have to see how it pans out in the end, I'm not gonna hop on board anyone's trains other than my own (tho I'm not even 100% confident in it) because I really do disagree with a lot of people's conclusions about this (not about believing the order, just about with #10 mostly and stuff)

fatui harbinger you find most interesting and why?

arlechinno — specifically for who that character is in commedia dell arte. arlechinno (or harlequin) often works against the plans of his master, and can even be servant to two masters.

i doubt they would give arlechinno this name without reason. my interest stems from the fact that she could quite possibly turn against the tsaritsa or is working for someone else, or is even currently actively working against the tsaritsa's plans

and i have to question ...just how many of these harbingers are actually loyal to the tsaritsa? el capitano, perhaps. maybe pulcinella. scaramouche is definitely not and never was. il dottore likely isn't, especially given how he's helping the sumeru sages build another god (though this could just be to get the dendro gnosis. however, i do believe he joined the fatui solely bc they gave him funding and free reign to do as many fucked up experiments as he wanted and he doesn't actually care what the tsaritsa is doing). pierro likely isn't, and it's more of a "enemy of my enemy" kind of thing. columbina is too difficult to pin right now. la signora likely just wanted revenge on mond and might not have stuck with the tsaritsa to the end (though she also might have). pantalone is still up in the air, though is either held by debt, status, or selfish reasons. childe? if it came down to it, probably not

the question is: how many of these harbingers will actually be by her side when she's facing downfall? when she goes up against Celestia or even the traveler (possibly) and her defeat is likely? given the choice between standing by her and saving themselves, how many harbingers will stay?

and that's a very very interesting question, because the answer could very well be the difference between whether she wins or loses

Viktor on every Harbingers.

As stated before, Viktor’s loyalty tend to be more to the people of Snezhnaya and the Harbingers than the Tsaritsa, who he sees more as a faceless tradition despite, yes, believing in the cryo archon’s mission. However, when it comes to his daily life, it is actually the Harbingers who possess his devotion.

Viktor is implied to have, at the very least, witnessed the harbingers which I imagine are during Fatui events, speeches and such, and is knowledgeable of both their way of work, their abilities, the personality they present, quirks and what the other Fatui think of them in general. This is a post based on the information we got so far in canon, the Commedia dell’arte and of course liberal interpretations to flesh out Viktor’s relation towards the harbingers, it is HEAVILY subject to change.

This list goes from who Viktor would like to work for the LEAST to the MOST. Viktor admires all Harbingers and see how incredible they are to the Fatui cause, but this is purely him speaking selfishly in terms of working under them.

SCARAMOUCHE Scaramouche is implied by Viktor to be pretty much universally disliked by the Fatui, which is supported by his shown temper. Scaramouche is one to belittle and not respect underlings, even potentially harming them physically through electro, and lead them with fear. Scaramouche throws emotional, gratuitous tantrums.

This is something Viktor cannot respect when strictly speaking of ways to run the chain of commands. This is no way to be a leader, not when you do not have reasons to apply this kind of authority. Scaramouche’s devastating power, however, is no joke, and given that the Tsaritsa has had her own reason to choose him, there is no question that Viktor would answer the man’s call and orders, but would he enjoy his daily working life under such a self-centered man with no respect for the lives he is responsible for but his own ? Not really. He’d sooner ask for a transfer... which is, unfortunately, not really possible within the Fatui, as you are to believe that where you are stationed is where you should be.

PIERRO Pierro’s crazed antics constantly have one question his state of mind, and his chaotic mockery and obvious bitterness are made for a sour association, where one can never really rest as the man is too unpredictable. Underlings unable to guess what his plans are, given he never tell anyone anything.

Pierro doesn’t care what happens when his subordinates are sent on assignments, not caring if they are casualties or not. As someone who values his life, even if he is loyal and swore an oath to the chain of command, Viktor much rather stay alive. The man is... devastating.

SANDRONE Sandrone uses underhanded tricks and manipulates people to get what he wants, hiding behind a face of kindness to the people. Although Viktor is one to recognize the grey areas of politics, which is, politics is everywhere in any social interactions, Sandrone stands out because he is not influencing people’s judgements, he is a hypocrite who takes advantage of commoners when they meet their lowest points.

This, alongside his eerie puppets... is absolutely terrifying. Viktor cannot help but, unlike Scaramouche where he sees the immaturity and lack of professionalism of one man, feel genuine fear... and fascination. The things he could learn from this man, he cannot even start to comprehend.

PULCINELLA Pulcinella is the harbinger in charge of the Fatui’s military and, alternatively, its recruits camp. Viktor would be more than happy to give his body for the nation if needed, even if the battlefield is not his ideal position.

Technically, all Fatui receives a form of military training. The difference with Pulcinella is mainly that the Skirmishers are constantly enhanced through the Fatui technology, modified as their body belongs to the nation. Viktor personally has no interest in being cut open and changed, as he spent a significant amount of time perfecting his form and knowing his own body. Not everyone has the mental fortitude to be more than happy to be pumped with drugged and have their brain reconstructed to be a better martial weapon.

PANTALONE As the one gathering all funds related to Snezhnaya and the Fatui, working for Pantalone is about contributing to the wealth of the nation, an absolute vital part which, however, comes with a ruthless environment. Whereas politics and influence are more subjective, wealth is about cold, hard numbers in an unsure, competitive scene.

Although Viktor is the first one to tell that there is no bad way to gather money and actually admire the length the man goes for the nation’s mission, what is more of a desk job with very little flexibility (the way political debates and diplomatic exchanges do) is bound to bore him out, thinking like his wits could be used elsewhere.

TARTAGLIA When there is need for intimidation, Tartaglia Childe is the one sent by her Lady Tsaritsa. When there is need for muscles on the field, Tartaglia Childe is also the one sent. Although Viktor’s hunting background would technically make his skills appropriate for the task, Viktor is still not one who actually enjoys applying, let’s say, physical matters, especially unconventional ones Tartaglia Childe is sent into : it is not a straightforward army VS army combat. It is something which require finesse... a dangerous game which doesn’t necessarily fit Viktor.

As for the young lord himself, although he is one of the most respectable harbinger, Tartaglia’s impulsiveness and free spirit is known to suddenly put operations into chaos, without him going through the proper channels. This, honestly sounds both thrilling, rewarding and amazing... which is not Viktor’s cup of tea. However, Tartaglia has been proven to be the harbinger who respects underlings the most as individuals, despite his casual attitude giving some rookies the false impression that he is a softie... it just makes getting a disciplinary action from him harder.

SIGNORA La Signora is her majesty’s most direct representative in the manners of political and courtly presence. Although working for Signora is a door to open many opportunities to political events for one’s ascension in their career, Signora knows the game... and plays it dirty. Many threats are given under technically diplomatic moves, and as someone who hates losing time on something else than her goals, she has no olive branch to any subordinate, who are pawns for her to be at her service like a mighty mistress... but her ways are always so bloody efficient, the results speak for her manners. Always ahead of the whole court. A queen in any place she walks in.

Technically, Viktor cannot complain about his position, although he is very disgruntled about being that low in the food chain... and extremely neglected. Sigh. Even if he is one to not bother about a pause to his advancements, Viktor cannot get, at least, the satisfaction of doing something for his home... because he’s not doing anything and he’s denying the fact that he’s been forgotten.

DOTTORE Dottore is the most cerebral and knowledgeable of the harbingers, with actual results and hard work to show. As someone in need of mental stimulation, Viktor cannot help but be mesmerized at the constant studying opportunity, under a man who knows exactly what he is doing, what he wants, and makes it clear.

The practical application of skills and sense of professionalism make Dottore both a harbinger Viktor personally admire greatly and would like to work under : with such talent which shouldn’t, for Viktor, be wasted for a single second, he is no scientist, but would gladly do anything to remotely be useful to him. Dottore is actually one of the three harginers where Viktor’s respect, for various reasons, actually cancel part of the fear he would normally get from a man doing such harsh experiments.

CAPITANO The first time Viktor laid his eyes on Capitano, he’d never forget. For whatever reason the man was in his region, probably some undisclosed assignments, he had never seen a man breathing so much charisma by merely existing. Amidst the men who’d try to appear strong and tall, Capitano didn’t have to be the tallest or largest to be absolutely mesmerizing. A man who commanded authority by presence alone.

He needed to be like him. And this is when a young Viktor decided to join the Fatui, not telling a single word that a single man triggered it all. Viktor doesn’t see himself as someone with particular talent, drive or patience to change the world... but if he could be half the man his idol was, that would be enough... but did he want to be the man, or solely be by his side, even if it meant potentially never working under him ? ... both.

As a recruit, Viktor would always run to the pavilion up the Fatui base to see Capitano entering the premises whenever his arrival was announced, watching from afar, get information on what the man had been up to. The stories of the man’s conquests, exploring uncharted territories while keeping such a solemn expression, an inspiring leader who’d run his affairs with the most unforgiving grip, to the perfection, with every bit of professionalism and no break in his composure.

If Viktor was to work under this man, he wouldn’t care a single bit about the treatment on his person. If he can be the slightest bit not indirectly, but directly useful to such a man, he would gladly serve him with every bit of devotion he has. Travelling at his side with the most powerful assets to the Fatui, each challenge only one exciting puzzle after one another.

If Viktor sees the holy Tsaritsa as the Fatui’s queen, Capitano is his King.

Carnival Vista including Accessibility (Review)

I recently had the privilege and joy of participating in a ship inspection of the Carnival Vista at the Port of Galveston. I have cruised on several Carnival ships in the past however I am not scheduled to actually cruise on the Vista until later for a family cruise.

The Carnival Vista is currently the only one in the Vista Class, she is registered to Panama, and she had her inaugural cruise in May 2016. Her itineraries range from 6 - 9 days out of Galveston into the Caribbean. If you haven’t cruised out of Galveston before, the Vista is a great way to check out the available itineraries.

Ship Specs

Crew capacity of 1,450;

Guest capacity of 3,934;

8 Grand Suites;

66 Ocean Suites;

854 Balcony Staterooms;

23 Oceanview Staterooms with patio or lanai;

264 Oceanview Staterooms;

732 Interior Staterooms;

20 Oceanview and Interior Upper/lower Staterooms

Of the 1967 rooms, 25 are accessible rooms modified for wheelchair users. Our oldest daughter travels in a wheelchair so this is very important to us and to many of the families for whom I book travel.

Currently the Vista has two itineraries out of the Port of Galveston. First there is the Cozumel - Jamaica - Grand Cayman itinerary. A nice itinerary with either Ocho Rios or Montego Bay in Jamaica, you will have the opportunity to check out beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling.

The second itinerary includes Mahogany Bay in Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel. I have been on this itinerary on Royal Caribbean and it is my favorite out of Galveston. This itinerary is great for snorkeling but also for cultural/historical experiences such as visiting Mayan ruins.

FOOD

Let me throw out a disclaimer before I get started: I am not a huge fan of buffets. That doesn’t mean I don’t do buffets at all. I just prefer the menu variety and service of the dining room without having to wait in line behind everyone else. I will do the buffet for lunch after boarding and maybe once or twice for the duration of the cruise however vacation is when I treat and pamper myself so I prefer to sit down, enjoy the view, and have food brought to me.

Let me add on suggestion about the dining room here: try something new! This is the perfect time and place to try something you normally wouldn’t if you were out to dinner in your hometown. Why? Because, if you don’t like it, you can just order something else. This is how I discovered I really like escargot. Don’t get stuck on eating the same thing again and again!

Guy’s Burger Joint is my favorite outside of the dining room. There may be some of you reading this thinking “a burger is a burger is a burger” and perhaps that is true in some circumstances. But Guy’s Burger Joint is worth checking out despite having only a handful of options. Anything with Rojo Rings gets my vote but if you prefer a burger with a little less pizazz, the Plain Jane is a sure bet. If you are craving beef and are hungry in a hurry, Guy’s Burger Joint is for you!

While meals at most restaurants are included in your cruise fare, they are some additional options for a fee. The Steakhouse offers entrees and cuts of steak not available in the dining room and you will not be disappointed. The appetizers and desserts are absolutely beautiful…..too beautiful to eat and I something I would never be able to do…..and I have never been disappointed by the quality or flavor of the food.

When we last went to the Steakhouse, the fee was $35 per person however I hear it has since gone up to $38 per person ($12 for children 11 years old and younger). My suggestion is to skip lunch on the day you plan to go to the Steakhouse because there is so much food! You will not walk out hungry!

Above you will see an example of the menu (be sure to scroll through all four pages). If you are a seafood lover, the Maine Lobster Bisque and Surf & Turf are EXCELLENT. Otherwise the pork belly, lamb chops and rib eye are all great!

Room service is something I typically do only in the mornings because I love having coffee on my balcony. The kids, on the other hand, love room service at any time of the day. If you are new to cruising on Carnival, please note that some items are free of charge while others carry a nominal fee.

ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility is something that matters to me because 1) we have a kiddo that travels in a wheelchair, and 2) because I occasionally have travel clients with mobility issues. The document I have included below shows the accessible pathways with the blue dotted lines. Other accessible areas (i.e. bathrooms, public areas, elevators, etc) are also in blue.

Carnival is great about helping guests with special needs. The Guest Access department can be reached by phone or email however I recommend utilizing their online form for requesting assistance. I recommend planing your next cruise at least 12 months ahead if you need an accessible rooms because they tend to sell out quickly.

Ambulatory Accessible Cabins are staterooms designed for guests with mobility limitations but who do not require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter, or other devices. Ambulatory Accessible Cabins are perfect for cruisers who only use an assistive device (like a cane or a walker) for long distances or who may benefit from amenities like grab bars.

Fully Accessible Cabins - Single Side Approach are staterooms designed for guests with highly limited mobility, who require the regular use of a wheelchair, scooter or other devices. Fully Accessible Cabins have clear floor space on only one side of the bed and they have an accessible bathroom with grab bars and shower seats.

Fully Accessible Cabins have accessibility including turning space, accessible routes throughout the stateroom and bathroom. The bathrooms have grab bars and shower seats.

When we cruise, one of my requests is having an ASL sign language interpreter for my daughter. I have done with this Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian and all of our experiences have been fabulous. I advise you to submit requests at least 90 days out so that there is adequate time to find someone. The best part? It is at no additional cost to the cruiser!

Dietary needs, service animals, blind/low vision issues, oxygen, dialysis……..these are some of the things that can be addressed if you call the Guest Access department. You can reach them at 1-800-438-6744 ext.70025 or email [email protected]. They are fabulous at helping guests have the best experience possible!

STATEROOMS

Staterooms can be such a controversial topic. Some people see staterooms as just a place to lay your head down, while others see staterooms as an extension of the experience. My family and I lean more toward the experience so we usually pay to have a bigger room and more amenities.

Interior rooms typically don’t offer a window however some may have a window out to a walkway. I have friends that prefer interior rooms with no window because they sleep better when it is totally dark. Interior rooms, as all staterooms do, have their own private bathroom with room occupancy being between two and four people. If you are not claustrophobic, interior rooms will work out just fine for you. I personally do not recommend interior rooms for more than two people because of limited space.

Ocean View rooms have a larger window that allows you to look out upon the ocean or out onto a walkway. If you are nervous about having small children and a balcony, the ocean view room is a good compromise. I personally do not recommend an ocean view room for more two people because of limited space.

Balcony rooms are my starting point because I love having a balcony. I love enjoying the sound of the ocean before I go to bed, and again in the morning watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee. If suites are cost prohibitive on certain itineraries, I will book a balcony room. If you plan to have more than two people, a balcony is good option simply because of the extra space of the balcony. It seems that we are almost always out on our balcony when we are in our room.

Suites are my favorite for a couple of reasons: first, there is more space in a suite. We have three children, all grown, however one has special needs. My husband and I keep her with us so we typically get a suite to give us a little more space (the other two children usually share a balcony of their own). Second, I like having the suite perks and amenities. Suite perks and amenities vary with each cruise line so please don’t assume they are all the same. For Carnival, having a suite gives you VIP check in, embarkation, and debarkation. You get priority dinner reservations and main dining room time assignment. You also get dressing area outside of your bathroom and two bottled water (not a big deal for some but still worth mentioning).

The Carnival Vista has a category of rooms called Family Harbor. One of the things I like about the Family Harbor staterooms is having access to the Family Harbor Lounge. The lounge offers a nice space for family activities, and it has a smaller room off to the side that could be used for a quiet space if your kiddo gets a little overstimulated. I mention this space to my special needs families in case they aren’t in their stateroom but they need a space to deal with behaviors.

ENTERTAINMENT

Entertainment is such a subject topic to discuss because personal preference has everything to do with what we seek out. I have had a few clients express concern over having enough to do while at sea and let me tell you…….that should not be a problem at all for most people! Even if you just want some quiet time on the serenity deck with a book and an adult beverage, there is pretty much something for everyone. That being said, below you will find a list of the many things you can do while relaxing at sea (some are free, some for a fee):

When you go on vacation, wouldn’t it be great if the parents could get a break from the kids and the kids could get a break from the parents? For many cruise lines, that is a thing!

Carnival has age appropriate activities for children age 2 - 11 (Camp Ocean) , 12 - 14 (Circle C), and 15 - 17 (ClubO2). Games, movies, karaoke, video games, and arts & crafts. Parents can get a break, kids have fun, and everyone wins! And yes, this is included in your cruise fare.

Night Owls is a program (for a fee) in which child care is provided after hours—until 1 am— for children age 6 months - 11 years. Music, activities, and games are provided in a group setting so that kids are entertained and supervised while parents enjoy some “us time.” Perfect for having date night on your cruise!

Our oldest daughter enjoys some of the Camp Ocean activities even though she is well over 11 years of age. Developmentally she is about 10 years of age and Carnival staff have always been great about allowing us to take her for various art classes during our cruise. If you have a loved one with special needs, and you see classes he/she may enjoy, talk to Carnival staff about it.

So, if you couldn’t tell, I really like the Vista. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the dining room served us a fabulous lunch. I really like the Serenity Deck, the SportsSquare with volleyball and basketball courts, the Family Harbor Lounge, and the SkyCourse so I’m sure I’ll spend a lot of time in those areas.

My recommendation to Carnival would be to have more accessible rooms since 25 out of 1967 is hardly anything and also because they sell out so fast.
