went down the rabbit hole on YouTube of other black ppl who are aromantics, virgins, never dated, etc. and I’m sitting here cheesing so hard bc I’ve never felt so validated. so like not really a kinfession but kinda wanna know if how im feeling abt this is valid (no pressure to respond if u guys dont want to btw!)
so my bf and i are planning on making a comic based around our "sonas" (idk what else to call them), but how these came to be was us literally drawing ourselves how we see ourselves essentially. like for me, im demonkin, so i just drew how i remember myself and then projected all my memories to this "character" and i think my bf did something really similar to that when making his, so basically we are these characters and they are us
after a while we added aspects to them that dont reflect memories (such as the two of them dating) but more so reflect us CURRENTLY, as well as some random things that just make sense and these "sonas" became very important to us and huge parts of ourselves (naturally, since we are them)
now wed love to do this and possibly post the series on tumblr and/or another site as a nice project between the two of us but thats when my bf realized: what if people kin them? and it kinda made us uncomfortable thinking about it since its based off our own otherkin experiences and that theyre literally us
so basically what id like to know is if itd be wrong to ask people to not make fan works (if it gets popular) and tag them as kin and stuff? weve seen people mark stuff with that and so thats why i planned on doing that, but do u think people would understand our discomfort? ik people cant help kins, but id feel a lot more comfortable if people didnt make it comfortable they're whole public identity based around one of us or used our work as face claims and stuff. am i being irrational or is this understandable?? (sorry if any of this sounds repetitive im kinda nervous lol)
the thing is, if this does get popular (and thats a big if- i dont mean that as an insult you truly cannot predict these things) yes there will be issues. youre not being Irrational, and i understand where ur coming from but im *in* the same community as you & kin also. if this gets popular, there are inevitably going to be people who dont understand and ignore that boundary, because you cant exactly stop people from doing that once smth gets big. theres a difference between like, asking someone to not kin tag an art post vs not kin from a Popular Piece Of Media, yk? it wouldnt be a wrong thing to ask for no. but if youre ok w the possibility that this could blow up ur gonna have to realize that you cant control an entire fanbase that closely and what ur afraid of is likely to happen. tldr i think this is understandable but im not just the average consumer that doesnt have the full story

Everyone has a different experience with this kink, some people do go past fantasy, but ultimately that's their choice and it's my core belief that gender is a myth and each person has freedom of choice with what they do to their bodies - if that's detransitioning within the kink for their well being - so be it, I see many people with slave/master kinks who commit their lives to living with their masters, sleeping in cages, eating from bowls, etc - why should this be any different? Ultimately, it's everyone's responsability to take care of themselves and choose what makes them happy.
Everyone's experience here is valid, whether it's someone like you, who just likes the fantasy degrading part of it, or someone who commits their life to kink, and I'm happy to give it more awarness so everyone can practice this safely.

next, his spinelessness. either as a defensive measure to deal w anti-werewolf hostility or as an innate personality trait, remus has the habit of just—not standing up for things. he looks away when his friends act like assholes, even when he’s in a position of authority (which yes, u can argue that he’s afraid of losing them but atp they’ve literally risked life & magic & azkaban for him so either way, he comes off badly—either he doesn’t mind himself, or he doesn’t fully trust their friendship, or it’s just easier to look away). in a relationship, this can manifest as bottling everything inside u until it makes u bitter or u violently unload on the other person in an entirely disproportionate manner. the dynamic would also be a bit skewed. the people pleasing u mentioned is also such a big thing that people usually overlook. when ur constantly trying to make the other person happy and don’t want to rock the boat, that is a cocktail for miscommunication and breakdown of relationships. ur also constantly putting the emotional burden of constructively dealing w issues on ur partner instead of doing it urself.
connected to his cowardice is his habit of running away when things get tough. remus is conflict avoidant; he does not like to put himself in a position where he has to take a decisive stance, especially if it’s against what others around him believe in. he runs away when things get tough, and tbh, for me, this comes from a constant spiral of self hatred & self victimisation, both of which stem from his experience as a werewolf. in every difficult situation, he centres himself & his discomfort and instead of dealing with it and moving forward for a constructive solution, he decides that stepping back from it altogether is better. which, yeah, works well for him bc he can temporarily put a pin in it but it’s kinda terrible for everyone’s who’s left behind. so i also think that remus is a profoundly selfish character who doesn’t look beyond the end of his own nose. u can imagine how those traits might manifest themselves in a relationship.
and his people pleasing!! so this might be verging on fanon but his gratitude and/or devotion to dumbledore sets an…interesting tone. it’s also another example of how he cannot conceive himself in any other term except as a victimised werewolf. the marauders did a lot for him, arguably even more than dumbledore’s token representation formula, but he never felt indebted to them the way he did for D. dumbledore also kind of makes him feel needed? validates his feelings? and that just speaks to a very twisted sense of self for me. which, again, won’t bode well for his other interpersonal relations.
also, on a very hc note, i also feel like remus just…does not have any significant capacity to love. he takes and takes and takes but doesn’t give much in return. this doesn’t even have to be an actively malicious decision, tbh, just a very self-centred one. he doesn’t realise how much he’s taking bc he’s only thinking about his own circumstances.
all of these are also just why i can’t see r/s working out in any healthy manner. remus is exactly antithetical to everything sirius is/believes in, and not even in the fun ‘opposites attract’ way. but that’s another rant no one asked for lmao

These individuals have also bright ideas and good leadership skills when working in group projects .its nothing knew to know that Leos are just confident within their skin and even if they are not that much confident they project it with out even trying. Leos love to give the people they really love 💕 also alooooooott of attention, they know what they want and where they stand with ppl! So if u are good friends with them and also admire them ( bc let me tell u guys sometimes the attention they get is not enough but praising them for how they talk, dress, speak and even walk will boost their confidence . which is obviously so fucking annoying / i mean girl u is not Marylin Monroe 😓 ). These are the people u want to go party with and just do stupid shit with bc they also have a charming childish side in a weird but fun way 🥴. Ouuuu lalaalalalaa here we have the second Venusian sign of the zodiac what a pleasant feeling being around someone that has good manners and is respectful and diplomatic 😙. Libras are also social light people and also like to get attention from the people around them to get the validation they seek which is yeah … Well libras are also chill, nice , beautiful people that appreciate love , peace , AESTHETICS when it comes to their environment, looks , homes and other people, they are very fashinoble and know how to dress and present themselves in a attractive way. They value friendships and relationships a lot like they really need these things to feel fulfilled in live. But with that being said I gotta say that u guys can be very codependent and rely on love and people to feel worthy 😥 it breaks my heart. They dislike conflict and are also prone to be very passive aggressive. The Trauma that they carry from early on in life sadly can make them too much emotionally closed off and not trust ppl . They seek the deeper meaning of life and also the truth from the ppl close to them. so If u bullshit their trust ooooooo lord , angels , Jesus Christ have mercy that’s when their 👹👹⛓ side is gonna come out. The animosity, revenge, hatred, anger is so intense u can feel it right away 🫣!. i like refrain from commenting on this but its getting to a point where i see it daily so listen i cant think of a nice way to say this sorry 😭 but if this is you then with all love now is probably not the moment in your life to start going by a hebrew name and changing ur icon to a magen david on a pride flag and starting a blog called journeying-to-hashem. and i say this with love for you like i think people are too worried to say something in case theyre gatekeeping but the fact is this type of thing is going to seriously negatively impact any future experience you do have - or on the other equally valid hand make it very difficult for you to realise that this may not be the right step for you at this point in time.
if you genuinely feel that every rabbi you meet is "super bigoted and weird" then (without judging you bc idk you and maybe you are just surrounded by dozens of homophobic rabbis and there's nothing antisemitic at all behind this statement) it could be that... joining the community they represent is not right for you, even if only at this point in time in your current location, and your tumblr experience is giving you the warped impression that its all nonbinary people in trad-egal minyans which is not going to be the case in almost any irl community so you will feel let down by all of them which unfair to both yourself and them (i.e my first point)

haiii cherry !! :3 um i’ve been in classes all day and unfortunately i still have a couple to go but i wanted to chime in ! so i don’t have any specific examples but yah! some of this might be repeat from what i’ve already told u but … my points still stand so ! also ur right for wanting validation for the things u write AND u totally deserve it :3 NO SHAME IN ASKING FOR IT
OKAY so first i just wanna say how easy it is to read ur fics ? this is probably more of just a me thing rather than a general thing? like genuinely i like reading but i’m so picky about what i read bc i just get bored and i’m really dogshit at visualizing. so a lot of times when a fic/book tries to add too much description of something i just get really lost and bored bc i can NOT see that shit in my head . so it’s all just words on a page and i can’t really do anything with it. but the way u describe things just makes sense in my head. like UGH IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT but although i can never actually ‘see’ what ur trying to convey, i can understand it. AND U EXPLAIN THINGS IN SUCH AN INTERESTING WAY and i think that’s why it’s not tedious to read ur fics for me? i’m gonna steal a line from my own comm bc i have it on hand … “Then it’s red, white and blue— Mainly red and blue. It’s all very fitting and American.” like it’s simple, it gets the point across, but it’s more interesting than just saying the cops were called blah blah blah. or vice versa sometimes things are over explained and that might be helpful to some people but for me it does nothing. maybe not the best example but i hope u know what i’m trying to say !! um ik this isn’t like a universal problem so u probably don’t do it intentionally but just know that ur writing style is like a godsend for me !! idk if that benefits u at all since it’s like a me thing but yah :3 i’m sure others that can’t visualize feel similarly
also just ur willingness to experiment with different things is one of the things i love most about ur blog! ur master list is just very diverse and every fic feels vastly different from the others. if that makes sense? like u can tell every piece is a cherry fic but i can read 4 cherry fics in a day and still feel like nothing was repetitive? HOWEVER on the flip side, ur fics with multiple parts feel very cohesive and they flow smoothly. like readers personality stays consistent WHICH IS ANOTHER THING !!! kinda going back i think . but all the readers in ur fics have different personalities which is so so nice. it gives the people reading ur fics the opportunity to relate to the reader in different ways each time ! and i feel like even when i don’t relate to the personalities of one of the readers u still manage to write in a way that makes it enjoyable. like i genuinely feel like i’m living vicariously through every single reader in ur fics! and if the fic is in leons pov that’s always fun too !!!! like even if u say he’s ooc i’m still like yeah hypothetically if he were in this situation this is how he would be thinking. UM and although u may voice that u don’t feel as confident writing certain things u still give it a shot and it always turns out so good?? like rigor mortis for example !! ik u said u struggle with writing gore but it was still sososososo good ? so just ur willingness to try out different things is very admirable !!
i also love ur interactions with the people on ur blog :3 like ur just silly but not only that !! awhile ago when u made the quizzes to determine which cherry reader u would be or like which leon u would get !! UGH SO FUN !!!! those little acts of engagement are so special idk !! like u didn’t have to take time to make those !!!! but u did !!!!!!!! thank you for that !!!!!
and obvs i agree with what others have said as well !! the way u write is just so real and human . and i do think ur use of similes and more simple language is really special. like ur writing such heavy topics but ur not trying to overcomplicate anything or be morally correct and it just works so perfectly. ig just in a lot of the darker books i’ve read, the authors always try to make what they’re writing justifiable and they use all this fancy language and it makes it seem like it’s not really as bad as it should be. i’m sure they might have to just bc it’s getting published to the masses but what u do with ur writing is just so refreshing. and i think it feels weird to say that when we’re talking about fics with dark themes like rape but idk how else to explain it. you don’t try to glorify anything, you don’t try to overcomplicate things, and i mean u have had leon/reader try justify what they’re doing but it’s different i think. like with ur fics leon/reader is just trying to justify it to themselves rather than an author trying to justify why something is happening to the person reading. I HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE

okay so basically for context it was this girls birthday and she threw a massive party at the boneyard, kooks, pogues, everyone was there.
I was with rafe btw. so anyways we went, arrived at about 8pm and everyone was already fucking shit up. topper was pretty drunk already, keep this in mind.
so everything goes pretty smoothly and it’s a pretty good party all in all, apart from a few little scraps everyone is happy.
it’s about 1 - 1:30 when most of our group is packing up, but none of us can find topper, we were all looking for him but we just assumed he’d gone home by himself. brushed the matter off.
Becky’s house was being redone so she was staying at tannyhill with us. So we all went to bed and that was a night.
UNTIL!!!!!
we hear a car basically crashing into the driveway, Rafe went to look out the window and it was toppers, so we were all a bit confused.
we all went down to go see and topper was in the kitchen, and when I tell you he was completely shit faced. he was so fucked up it was unbelievable okay like his eyes were barely open.
so he comes over, mistakes me for Sarah (for context this guy is still so hung up on her it’s stupid) tried to grab my ass and kiss me.
Rafe had none of it though, literally did not give this man a second chance and immediately pushed him.
topper falls back cause he’s literally blacking out at this point. And that’s that for the night. we got him to drink some water while he was half asleep then we just left him passed out on the couch.
the next morning he was gone. we all went to the country club for breakfast (they have the best hangover food in being so serious).

turns out topper had heard John b saying “I love you” to her at the party, and gone absolutely ballistic.
he’d got out of tannyhill at ridiculous o’clock in the morning, and showed up and the chateau. blatantly tried to STAB JOHN B IN HIS SLEEP.
lucky his aim was off so he just hit the mattress but oh my fucking god.
jj went crazy on him, pulled the gun but didn’t use it. Topper got arrested but his bail was paid and he showed up at the country club next week.
he seemed so wasted though like… Rafe didn’t even want me going up to him. him and kelce talked to him though and apparently he thought all of his actions were justified.
of course he got out of any big charges cause it’s him.
oh and he tried to hit wheezie when she asked him about it so he’s banned from tannyhill on rafes orders.
I’m actually shook I swear. probs gonna script that didn’t happen next time I shift cause that was intense idk if I wanna go back to it.

somehow out of all of this the wheezie thing seems the most horrible cuz she’s a CHILD ?? what the fuck is wrong w topper ?? can’t believe he wasn’t charged harshly and if i were in that situation i’d just cut him off completely.
tbh i’ve always thought topper had a much darker side to him (esp when he tried to burn down the chateau) and i feel so bad that you had to go through all of that. i’d say script it out if you want to cuz that seems like such a heavy experience, i don’t think anyone in ur dr wld be able to recover from it at least for a while.

ur opinion on snape???
lol sure. why not.
i mean as i have stated before on this blog my personal opinion on snape is that i do not like him. however before i get into that i want 2 make clear -- i think the vitriolic debate between snape stans and snape haters in which each side insists that THEIR interpretation of the character is the Most True is just. tired. like there is no One True Interpretation of snape's character--the text can support a reading of him as an irredeemable piece of shit and it can also support a reading of him as one of the greatest heroes in the series. so like, even though i personally don't like snape, i don't really care if there are people out there who love him and want to give him a redemption arc/build off the redemption arc jkr tried to give him. i just stay out of that corner of the internet, because it doesn't interest me.
that being said! i personally tend to fall into the reading of snape as like. nice-guy friendzoned teenage boy who slowly gets radicalized into fascist/right-wing thinking, partially because he feels entitled to lily's attention + love and doesn't feel like he's getting it, but also because he grew up feeling like much of his life is out of his control and feeling as though his wizarding heritage is his access card to privilege and power. i view his relationship w the marauders as more of a rivalry/equal give-and-take rather than like. snape is an innocent victim who was bullied. i think all of them were shitty to each other growing up in school. and my interpretation of snape's actions during the war in canon is that he really only broke from his allegiance to the death eaters once lily's life was at stake, which to me is less a sign of him actually disavowing these views and more just. based in his obsession with lily. the fact that he bullied children once he was older and just generally remained a shitty person makes me feel like he was. kind of a shitty person. and sort of gets in the way of his redemption arc for me. i feel like snape remained primarily motivated by his love for/obsession with lily + wanting to get revenge for her death, more than viewing him as someone who actually changed a lot to become a good person.
so! that is just my interpretation + how i see the character. obviously, there are plenty of other readings of his character that are just as valid, including those who redeem him. i just don't think i will ever read the character that way myself, especially because for me teenage snape reminds me of like. various boys i grew up with or met growing up who i had very, very shitty experiences with, so i just really have no desire to even try and read a redemption arc into his character.
