How do you manage to stay in a fandom for so long? I'm always mario jumping from fandom to fandom every 3-6 months
Oh, so many reasons. I think I've answered this before but in a much more concise way so idk what happened here when I tried to answer again from scratch but uhhh I wrote a lot lol?? Long ramble time. 😂
I found this fandom at a point in my life when I really emotionally needed it, so I got really attached to it. I stayed because of the friends I've made in it and because of the OCs I got invested in, both mine and other people's, and every so often something invigorated my interest like a new roleplay I got to join or new concept art that got discovered.
I'm also just a really dedicated person (for better or worse) and I still have ideas that I want to get out there creatively. I don't get a lot of free time, and I rarely have energy for hobbies after work so my time passes slowly in the sense that I may still be in the middle of appreciating a thing, meanwhile everyone else has already sped through and processed it and moved on.
So I've gotta be really careful about choosing what to spend my limited time and energy on. It sometimes takes me a whole month to draw a piece of art that I'm proud of. It would be a huge waste of my time to spend so much energy on a fandom that after 3 months I think I might not care about anymore.
And like, if it's going to take me a month to draw 1 thing, what am I going to choose? Fanart of a character from a show that I just finished that I might possibly move on from in 3 months? Or art of my darling Audrey OC that I've been developing for years and whom I know will always bring me joy for the rest of my life? It's not a hard choice! Like I'm sure it's obvious by now but I really love my oc. It's gotten to the point that I look for her in every media I consume. I like characters because they remind me of her, and I like plots because they remind me of her. When I watch a movie and end up loving it, I'm not going to be drawing fanart for that movie, I'm more likely going to be drawing Audrey Grace in some way that's consciously or subconsciously inspired by that movie. I'm sure other people with beloved ocs can relate to that, too.
Back to media consumption: I'm constantly watching new things, shows, movies, letsplays, and I'm able to love them just fine, but I never participate in their fandoms (unless you count reblogging fanart as participation. I personally don't). I just don't feel motivated to and I feel like it's unnecessary. I shouldn't need to prove anything. You can appreciate media without engaging in fandom. In fact, I encourage it, because a lot of what I see in fandoms these days is just stressful, at least to me. And I don't want that stress. I'm much happier as a person when I don't have to read other people's opinions, discourse and drama over some show's themes or ships or whatever. I can just quietly revel in my own enjoyment of the show without being tainted by anything else, and my love for it is not any less valid than the person who's livetweeting their loud emotions while watching the same show and putting out fanart 1 hour after every episode. Bless them, though.
And I guess that's mostly what I do these days with the Onceler fandom, too. Appreciating it more quietly these days, I mean. It's just that...I have a fandom related oc so I draw her. And I have friends here so we do stuff together and we reference fandom inside jokes no matter what activity we're doing. If I encounter art that deeply moves me personally, I reblog it, just like I reblog art for other media on my sideblog. When anyone has a fandom history related question, I'm eager to answer because I don't want the past to be misrepresented or misunderstood. And also, since it's been over a decade, this fandom has long ago become my daily normal. I can do whatever I like but I can't really "leave" this fandom unless I delete all my social media and cut off all my online friends. And delete my memories of the past 12 years of my life as well. Just become a completely different person.
So I guess I can reverse the sentiment: I can't relate to people who hop fandoms every 3 to 6 months. 😭 All the power to you, but that's just not the way I happen to live my life, nor the way I engage with the media I consume! The Once-ler fandom was the one exception. It was special.
But who knows, anything can happen in the future. I'm not so proud that I'm purposely blocking myself from looking at other fandoms or anything. I just go with the flow! Right now I'm slowly making my way through jjba, an omori playthrough, a Plague Tale playthrough, and urusei yatsura season 2 (the new anime). Probably nothing will come out of any it except for a bunch of Audrey inspos, but again, who knows. XD I'm also going to an idkhow concert soon, and I've bought merch from their store already. Does that count as participating in a fandom? Maybe not. But now that I think of it, even if I "join" another fandom, it doesn't necessarily mean I'd leave the onceler fandom either, so maybe it wouldn't matter haha.
Thank you for the ask and thank you to anyone who's read my entire answer!

(this is not about anyone in particular but i have encountered this argument alot too so i wanna say sth about it)
the thing that people like to use as an excuse to why totks story was so lackluster that they think of the gameplay first
but how is that an excuse for bad story and inconsistency with the game its supposedly a sequel too? does good gameplay suddendly mean that the story gotta be bad? they made it work just fine with botw, sure its got its problems and there are things that could have been better like in any game, but they made it work with the themes, it felt harmonical with the rest of it
yeah the story feels like an afterthought in totk, bc it probably was, but it didnt have to be, and not to toot my own horn here but thats what im trying to do with the rewrite, yes im including some wishes i have that would never be canon but this is ultimately wasted work im doing anyway, im restructuring the whole game bc i want it to be in tune with itself, i took the route of most changes bc its my little brainfart were i can make it into something i really want while using the real game as a basis, all that work is in vain anyway so why not go all out, but i have several ideas, some even written out, on how you could have made it better, sometimes with minimal changes even and even then, they dont matter, the game is done and higely successful, im just a random dude on the internet thats part of the 0.01% of fans that dont like it, im just insane enough (or autistic enough lol) to basically do game design and writing for an entire game IP i dont own and never will for a game thats already finished and wont change regardless of how much work i do or how much i yell about it
if you think its 'unfair' to the canon game bc some things are not doable (tho honestly given what they have already been able to do nintedny would absolutely be able to do everything im writing) or bc im changing so much then ok? if you think they had their reasons and thats ok with you then ok?
im not tho, and no i dont think they had a good reason nor good excuse to do it like this, thats my opinion anyway, and my opinion doesnt matter in the grant scheme of things
like you dont have to like anything i do with it, its not a demand of the devs, the games done already anyway and nothign will change that, im literally just making it into the sequel i would have loved, i would have wanted, i would think is better but thats just me, all of the work im doing for this project is an outlet for my frustration with the game that i cant let go bc i love the franchise, and most importantly botw, so much that i cant let it go
so if you dont like what im doing, thats fine, but move on then pls bc im not demanding anyone to like it and if you choose to engage with it despite not liking it thats not my fault now is it
and if you do like it i want to thank you for your support!! it means alot that maybe, even if its technically wasted work and time, its really not fully useless, if it can bring even one other person a little joy, thats a good engouh reason for me to keep posting it :3

I'm the taekooker who adores Jimin, and as you said, the problem is that we don't call out people in our ship who are toxic and say shit about Jimin and often make untrue, false, sometimes downright abhorrent comments about Jimin and Jungkook's relation and/or Jimin and V's friendship.
Now for me personally, I don't follow or interact with these people, simply because they are not nice people. And if I see these comments on Twitter or even here, I block and ignore them. Because, from previous experience, what I find is they drive me crazy if I try to interact rationally with them. Because fundamentally, shipping is not about downgrading someone, or anyone else. So for my sanity, I try to avoid these accounts and conversations. But, this being said, I have also found accounts that are like me, (given most of them ship yoonmin, which is fine to me). However, they don't degrade Jimin or his personality, or his relations with any of the OT7 members. (Also side note: NOT all yoonmin shippers are taekookers. Yoonmin so far from what I've seen is possibly the calmest and most peaceful ship in BTS made up of mostly nice people.)
I get that you can't trust shippers especially tkk ( or as I read from some of the previous posts some of them even jkkers) because of their history of distorting stuff and saying nasty things about Jimin /or Tae respectively. But I feel what want to say is that we are here who love Jimin and we ship Taehyung and Jungkook. And shipping is also not equal to fetishizing. It's not. Shipping by definition is about enjoying the chemistry, and camaraderie and potentially hoping for a romantic relationship between fictional and non-fictional people. It is (at least for me) a very benign, enjoyable activity that I do in my free-time that helps me destress. And accounts that I follow are usually writers (who are actually English teachers LMAO) who write exceptional stories entirely for free that bring me immense joy. So shoutout to all the amazing fanfic writers, you guys saved me from depression!!!
Also, I agree BTS ships, especially tkk (and jkk, I guess ), have over time become more and more aggressive, full of toxicity, and have pushed us out who want a calmer, less venomous environment. Saying something rational, or pointing out hypocrisy is now labeled as me not being a true shipper. Like I gotta do prove something to them!! So childish really! However, (and I'm treading into dangerous territory here) I feel this also has something to do with coveting Jungkook. Like, Jungkook seems to be the sole pinnacle of want and focus for both tkkers and jkkers and not actually Tae or Jimin, and I don't know if this is a projection or something, but this is simply the vibe that I get.
So yes trusting shippers especially tkkers is a coin toss, and more often than not, you're probably gonna get burned either way. But just letting your blog followers know there ARE nice tkk shippers out there who maintain healthy boundaries, who love Jimin unequivocally, and even follow primarily a jikook focused vlog!
Have a nice one Stormi🌟
You do you anon. And if you are actually disengaging from most of the tkkr shipping fandom or otherwise calling out the toxicity. I applaud you for it. Though that should be the bare minimum. 😅 and if you are following me, then I am more likely to believe you that you love Jimin. Because Jimin love and the members loving on Jimin is all over this blog 🤣 as long as you aren't just following me to send in dramatized asks, which I'm sure some people here are too. 😅 I've had my fair share of toxic engagement and need to report yoonminners as well. So like I've said before, every ship has its bad apples. I've stumbled across some really toxic and weird namjin shippers. Lol but I'm willing to engage kindly with anyone who can do the same to me. I match energy here more often than not. And I've got posts up plently on my masterlist over my thoughts over shipping if yall wanted those.
Tumblr media
Hope you have a good day too. Genuinely. 💜 I'm not talking about tkkrs anymore after this yall. I'm moving on. I've got one more ask that sort of relates to tkkrs but not. It's more of a "help me piece together this timeline that tkkrs and other shippers were talking about" ask. I'll get to that one soon, but otherwise, I'm moving onto topics that are more fun. 🥰

The first of my inspired by music pieces
Paring: Future!Draken x Reader
Rating: SFW
Fic: Fluff, romance
Author’s Note: I used _____ instead of y/n cause I wanted to see how I liked it. I really hate seeing “y/n” for some reason lol
“Castle on a hill / let’s build it out of steel / girl, I know that this love, it will last / journey up the road / ain’t gotta take it slow / you know that I don’t want no one else … It’s like heaven, oh, feels like heaven when I’m with you”
Draken is the type of man who appreciates every moment every moment with you. Whether it’s some grand occasion or cuddling on the couch watching tv — he cherishes them all the same. But, if he had to pick his favorite moments with you, it would be when he whisks you away on his bike — embarking on random adventures and taking pictures with the Polaroid camera you got him. It’s similar to what’s happening right now, but instead of his bike, you’re riding in his car. Also this isn’t some random adventure, though Draken won’t tell you where you’re going. The camera hangs from the rear view mirror, his left hand intertwined with your right, a nice breeze kissing your face, your playlist and Draken’s heartwarming smile — the ingredients for the perfect car ride.
“Where are we going?” you ask for the millionth time, interrupting Draken’s rendition of Isaiah Rashad’s verse on West Savannah. He cuts his eyes at you for a second before continuing to rap the lyrics without saying a word to you. “I’ll cut it off,” you threaten him, raising your phone to remind him that you are in charge of music.
“Damn,” you hear him playfully smack his teeth, “just enjoy the ride. we’re almost there.” he smiles, cutting up the music before you have a chance to reply.
You pout, but he doesn’t notice — too busy concentrating on the winding roads. Deciding to leave him because he looks particularly focused, you look out the window — lush green trees waving as Draken speeds past. Before you know it the destination leaves your mind and the journey is all that matters. Your playlist flows from one melodic song into the next, creating a smooth ride with zero skips. Soon enough Draken is pulling over on the side of the road — a few miles from the town you rode through and a good distance from the closest house. He grabs the camera and exits the car, you skeptically follow suit.
“Um,” you examine your surroundings, eyes taking in the open field. “where are we?”
“Our future home,” he laughs, quickly pulling out the camera to snap a photo, capturing your confused face. The sound of the film emerging is akin to a timer — Draken is just waiting for the lightbulb in your brain to go off. He places it in his oversized pocket to shield it from the sun — he’d hate for exposure to ruin this perfect photo.
“I’m confused.”
“It’s a plot of land.”  he narrows his gaze — you’re smart but sometimes he worries. “I bought it. I’m paying a contractor to build our house here.” simple sentences that work magic. Your confusion turns into pure joy and he snaps a photo just as you begin to cry. He does the same thing — placing the photo in his pocket — before joining you on the land. He’s behind you, hands around your waist as he utters romantic words.
“You’re joking,” you laugh, completely overwhelmed.
“I’m so serious.”
“We’re an hour from the city. What about the shop?” panic ensues, eyes wide in fear. Had he thought about the consequences of his actions. everything he’s worked so hard for is in Tokyo
“Some days I’ll take the train, some days I’ll drive. It’s pretty peaceful.” He shrugs, “you work from home.”
“Your apartment?”
“We can keep it for when we want to stay in Tokyo.”
“But we’re not even —,”
Draken has a solution for every problem you bring up — this is no different. He’s a mind reader, not allowing you to finish your foolish statement as he slips a ring in your finger. to Draken it doesn’t matter if you were married or not, but now feels like the time — everyday with you is perfect. the metal is cool against your skin — it’s the only way you know this moment is real. rings have never been your accessory of choice; it feels so forgein, but this engagement ring feels right. “but we can be,” his voice vibrates against your ear. “Marry me,” he places a gentle kiss on your cheek. it’s more of a statement and less of a question but he still expects an answer. all you can do is nod enthusiastically — forgetting how to even speak. “Oi, say something,” he teases, squeezing you tight.
“Yes,” you turn around to meet his gaze with teary eyes. hand snaking around his neck, pulling him down so you can kiss him.
He learned his lesson long ago — tell the people you love that you love them while they’re still around to hear you say it. But honest and responsible Draken has never been a man of many words, he’s a man of action. He’s not too cool to show you he loves you — he’s well past that phase of his life.
It’s silent on your ride from the plot of land that will soon be your shared home — the home you’ll eventually start a family in. The home where you’ll host events and gather with your friends. You’re looking out the window as Draken drives through the countryside, absentmindedly turning the ring on your finger while you watch the stars. He takes small glances every now and then to make sure you’re still awake and admire your beautiful side profile. “This is like heaven,” he says, squeezing your thigh, imagining your future together.  “I love you, ____.”
Turning toward him with a sincere smile, a smile that makes him blush, you reply, “I love you too, Ken.”

Worth It - Andy Barber x reader
Tumblr media
a/n- Hey lovely people! this was written for @stargazingfangirl18 & @navybrat817 ‘s shameless hoes for chris challenge, and I can’t be happier that our baby Andy’s first appearance on this blog is for their challenge! thoughts are in italics and the prompt is in bold. also a disclaimer - i’ve never been to a singles mixer lol. Enjoy!<3
Prompts: We are the only two people at this god awful event who seemed to be utterly miserable, so let’s be miserable together & “Can you just not right now?”
Summary: you never believed in singles mixers, but something about this stranger might just change that...
Word count: ~2,570
Warnings: smut!!, explicit language. please don’t read if you are uncomfortable with those things!
Your eyes wandered around the room for the umpteenth time that night. It was packed full of people who were talking to one another, mostly paired up, usually leaning towards each other. Lashes were flattered, muscles were subtly flexed, arms brushed "accidentally". The usual joys of a singles mixer.
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes. Why the fuck did you let your friend convince you to come with her? She was currently talking to some douchebag in a suit that was clearly rented to make him look fancier but didn't even fit him that well. You had a sense of admiration for her for being optimistic enough to believe she'll find a guy in these things.
You, however, didn't share that sentiment. You hung out close to the bar, downing a couple of drinks and quickly shutting down any attempt any male has made to talk to you. About five minutes after you got here you realized there wasn't anyone there who looked like they could fit you. Who knows, maybe your taste in men was a bit much, but you certainly wouldn't lower your standards for the men in that room.
Now, forty minutes later, you were just about ready to bail, but you didn't want to leave your friend alone. So, you just sat there, fumbling with your phone, hoping your friend would soon realize how pointless this was.
As you were ordering another drink, you caught the door opening slightly from the corner of your eye. Probably someone who's late. Although you couldn't fathom what was the point of arriving to these things late. To be fair, you couldn't fathom the reason to be at these things at all.
Sure, you wanted to find love. But you had pretty much given up on the idea that there was someone out there for you. That was a bit of a naïve notion in your opinion, the search for true love. Anyway, you did fine on your own, it's not like you needed a man in your life.
Doesn't mean you didn't want one though.
You drowned that thought and the extra drink you had just gotten. You should probably cut back on the drinks; you don't want to be hungover the next day.
You suddenly realized someone was coming to lean on the bar beside you. He ordered a drink, deep voice reaching your ears despite the chatter in the room. You lifted your head from your phone to look at the stranger from the corner of your eye. He shrugged the suit jacket off his shoulders and sat down.
Damn, he definitely wasn't here before. Probably the one who just got in, you realized. You looked at his handsome profile, brown hair that seemed soft to touch, and a suit that actually fit his quite broad frame.
Maybe this night isn't gonna be such a waste after all. Sure, you didn't expect to fall in love, but it's been a while since you got laid. The stranger caused a tingly sensation inside you that made want to change that.
He looked over at you, blue eyes piercing into yours. You noticed the way his lashes cast a slight shadow on his cheekbones, and that beard was framing his face very nicely. There was really no other way to say it, he was hella hot.
"Can you just not right now?" he said suddenly and sighed. You raised your eyebrows and scoffed, diverting your gaze into your nearly empty glass and pursing your lips. Okay, never mind, asshole alert.
"I'm sorry," he said after a moment passed. "I'm just not really interested in meeting anyone right now. I saw you looking at me so—"
"Whatever," you cut him off, a little embarrassed he caught you ogling him. "If you aren't interested in anything, why are you even here?"
"A friend forced me into it. She basically pushed me through the door," he chuckled, sipping his drink.
A she friend. Maybe that's the reason he wasn't interested. "Well, I can't say I don't understand that," you sympathized, scouring the room in search of your friend again. You were just in time to catch her going out the door with that douche. "Shit," you muttered under your breath.
"Excuse me?" he asked, equal parts amused and puzzled.
"My friend just left with some jerk," you downed the rest of your drink, "and as the person who talked me into this shithole, that's rude of her," you sent a tight-lipped smile to the stranger. "So now I'm pretty much stranded here because she was my ride home." You opened your phone to order an Uber. You blamed the alcohol for making you overshare like this.
"Hey," the stranger said, "How about we have a drink and I could give you a ride home? Duffy threatened to wait outside for a half-hour to make sure I stay, and I have no doubt she's gonna make good on that," he smiled.
"Hmmm, excuse me if I'm not gonna jump on that offer, complete stranger I just met," you smirked.
"Oh, right, sorry. Where I come from everyone knows me," he said, surprisingly bitter. "I'm Andy," he smiled.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Andy," you said and introduced yourself. "So, you're a celeb where you come from, huh? What do you do?"
"I'm- I was a lawyer. Right now, I'm looking for a job. And celeb isn't really the word I would use," he said in that bitter tone once more. You got the message – he really didn't want to talk about it.
"So is Duffy a lawyer too?" you changed the subject quickly.
"No, she's a cop, but we worked together sometimes," he said. "What about you, what do you do?"
You spent the next few minutes getting to know each other, the conversation flowing easily. He had more wit in his little finger than most people you met at these things had in their whole body. Smart's the new sexy, but it's not like he wasn't sexy enough as it is.
"So, how come your friend talked you into coming here and then left you?" he asked.
"Well, we're the only two of our friends who aren't married, or engaged or whatever, so everyone's nagging us to 'find someone'. She really thinks these things are the place where she could find her person. I, personally, think it's bullshit," you said and he chuckled. "But hey, the things you do for your friends," you shrugged.
"Yeah," he looked at you and smiled. He thought he was being subtle, but you noticed the way his eyes quickly moved to your cleavage, which was looking quite nice in this dress if you could say so yourself, and back to your face. Maybe not all hope for tonight was lost, you thought, and leaned forward a little.
"See that dude over there? What do you think he's saying to that poor girl?" you asked.
"He's probably telling her how romantic and chivalrous he is just to get into her pants," he shrugged and you chuckled. "What about that couple? What do you think they're talking about?" he asked.
"Oh, I'm so in love with you!" you said in a slightly high-pitched voice, imitating the girl, "Yeah, baby, me too," you said in a lower voice. "And then they'll move in together, break up and get into an ugly fight over who gets to keep the house," you finished your story and Andy laughed.
The conversation continued to flow, both of you making fun of some other people, but now it seemed you were both in a competition. It started with you leaning forward to bring your cleavage into view, but he caught on quickly, loosening his tie and unbuttoning the top button, his Adam's apple bobbing and god did that make you wanna suck on his neck.
You made the next move, crossing your legs in a way that you knew would make your dress ride up a little, exposing more skin. Andy visibly swallowed but you continued talking like you didn't notice. He rolled up his sleeves, and at this point, it was clear you both knew what you were doing. You were already hot and bothered, and he didn't even touch you yet, not even in the most innocent way.
"Well," Andy looked at his phone, "I think we're clear, Duffy must've gone home by now. Come on, let's go."
You got up and so did Andy, grabbing his jacket from the back of his chair.
When you went outside it was surprisingly cold. You shivered a bit and Andy noticed it from the corner of his eye, dropping his jacket over your shoulder. You smiled at him in thanks.
The drive was mostly filled with silence, besides you giving him directions to your house. It seemed you were both immersed in your own thoughts, but it was a comfortable silence. Your gaze fluttered on him once more. You noticed his hands on the steering wheel, more specifically the ring-shaped tan. Well, if he didn't wanna talk about it that's his prerogative.
"Here, you can pull over right there," you pointed to an empty parking spot across from your building.
"Do you want to come up and have a coffee? I gotta thank you for the ride home somehow," you smiled.
"Sure," he said and turned off the car, going out. You gave him his jacket back as you both entered the building.
The tension in the elevator could be cut with a knife. It seemed that once you were finally alone, your thoughts were running wild.
You finally reached your apartment, opening the door and showing Andy in. You turned to lock the apartment door behind you. "If you want you can leave your jacket—"
You turned back around and suddenly his lips were on yours, pushing hungrily. You felt his tongue licking slightly against your lips, seeking entrance you granted gladly, your tongue battling with his as you wrapped your arms around his neck. His hands wandered down your body, grabbing your ass and squeezing it lightly as you moaned into his mouth. He moved his hands to your hips lifting you up, and you wrapped your legs around his waist as you started to unbutton his shirt.
"Second door on the left," you parted your lips just long enough to rasp that out and then returned to feverishly kissing him once more.
He made his way to the bedroom, carrying you in his arms with little effort. He pushed you against the bedroom door and you reached to open it and then pushed his now unbuttoned shirt down from his shoulders. He groaned and put you down to finish getting rid of his shirt, while you quickly pushed your dress over your head, leaving you in your underwear.
Andy's breath hitched at the sight before his lips were back on you again, nipping at your collarbone, your jaw, your neck, while you reached to get rid of his belt, unzipping his pants. He stepped out of them and you started walking back towards the bed, a tangled mess of hands and lips colliding.
Once you were on the bed he reached to unclasp your bra, throwing it to the side and attaching his lips to your breast, swirling his tongue around your hardened nipple. You arched your chest against his mouth, nails gently scraping on his back as you clung to him. Almost without you noticing his hand trailed down to take off your underwear, fingers expertly teasing your clit as you ground against him, silently asking for more. He put two fingers inside you, the wet sound echoing in the room, and you would almost be embarrassed if it didn't feel so damn good.
Your lips found his neck, fulfilling your earlier wish and sucking on it, leaving a bite. You started palming him through his boxers, reaching a hand inside to stroke his length as he groaned into your neck. He pulled his finger out of you and before you managed to whimper at the loss, he captured your lips in his, devouring your mouth as he discarded his boxers.
You parted from him and reached into your bedside drawer to pull out a condom. He quickly slid it on and wasted no time pushing into you, bottoming out in one thrust. You gasped at the stretch, which quickly dissipated once he started moving, snapping his hips onto yours and making you cry out in pleasure.
You clenched around him, the coil in your stomach tightening, and his thrusts started becoming erratic as he brought his fingers to your clit once more, flicking it harshly until came around him with a scream of pleasure, milking him through his orgasm as well.
He stayed inside you, the both of you panting until he finally pulled out and went to throw the condom. You were too fucked out to whimper at the loss, only closing your eyes until you felt the bed dip beside you. Andy laid down beside you, tentatively wrapping an arm around you, to which you said nothing, only cuddled a bit into him.
The next morning you woke up to the smell of fresh coffee filling your senses. You were puzzled until you saw the discarded clothes and remembered the events of last night. Sighing in content, you got up, putting on a new pair of underwear and picking up Andy's shirt, leaving the few top buttons open as you made your way to the kitchen.
Andy was leaning against the countertop, shirtless with only his pants on, sipping a cup of coffee and scrolling on his phone, and didn't notice your soft footsteps.
"Good morning," you said softly, drawing his attention towards you. "Glad to see you've made yourself at home," you chuckled and came closer to him.
"Sorry," he said, averting his gaze, "I just really needed that coffee before the drive home. But there's more if you want some."
You thanked him and poured yourself a cup of coffee.
"So…" he started.
"So?" you smiled.
"I had a great time last night. The whole evening," he added quickly. "So… let me take you out sometime. On a date. Please," he smiled.
"I'd love that," you smiled at him.
You exchanged numbers and the rest of your breakfast went on uneventfully, until Andy had to go. "Can I have my shirt back?" he asked, grinning.
"Oh, I don't know," you said, pretending to contemplate it, "I'm pretty sure you look better without it."
You both laughed. You went to your room to change and gave him back the shirt.
"Have a nice drive home," you said. And then, in a surge of confidence, you kissed him, pushing your lips against his with passion. "One for the road," you smirked.
Andy smirked back, no doubt on board with your antics. "I'll call you," he said and opened the door, going into the hall.
"You better!" you called after him, a smile on your face as you watched him go into the elevator and out of sight.
You closed the door and leaned on it, lost in your thoughts like a schoolgirl in love, and then you realized – shit.
You had actually met a cute guy at a singles mixer. Your friends were never gonna let you live that down. Oh well, you thought, he seems like he's worth it.
hope you enjoyed!! whoosh i love andy barber so much ok bye

You know i understand ppls need to defend the work they love they really do but...twitters starting to be really annoying about this.
Like someone will write smtng like 'uhhh actually Nobara is not that good of a character n the story wouldnt change if she was gone' (for some reason its almost always nobara) n like that will basically be the post n like
Tumblr media
Thats not meta, thats not character analysis, what that is is someones personal opinion at best, blatant try to start discourse at worst. N then meta blogs with QRT it with like 'huh you really think so?' Starting the discourse and like i wouldnt be annoyed if this was like one or two times but i just legit unfollowed one meta blog for doing it too much n em seriously considering unfollowing another. Like one of these tweets literally was a response to one of those 'whats a jjk opinion you have that would start discourse' its bait, its a trap, they wanna waste your time and annoy you, you dont have to react to these???
Like talking to someone who has opposing opinions from you can be all fun n good n comparing metas n discussing different views n such but why would u try to seriously engage with someone whos entier opinion is 'jjk not that good tho', theres nothing to talk about there, youre just wasting youre time, who cares??? Who cares that this random person doesnt like jjk or gojo or nobara or whoever, you dont have to engage with them, especially when it looks like all they want is to bait a fight???
Im sorry im just really annoyed cuz i enjoyed these meta blogs but now i gotta unfollow them cuz by responding to these random opinions they are brining so much negativity on my dash like god i dont need to know about every person who thinks nobara is not that good why dont you write about how she is that good instead of trading quips n giving them spotlight its so annoying
Yeah, people really need to learn to distingush between bait and actual discussion or just realise that sometimes the person isn't worth talking to because they're not going to change their opinion despite how much you talk to them and they'll just end up upsetting you.
I've had to learn to do the same on tumblr when it comes to the BNHA fandom (though sometimes I still fall for it, usually when they come to my ask box).
If someone goes "lol yeah this thing you love is trash" block them and move on. They're usually miserable human beings who have nothing better to do then make everyone else around them upset too because they know they'll get responses from people who love the thing they're trashing and they take sick joy in making them more and more upset.
You're doing nothing good for your mental health by responding to them all the time, in fact my experience in fandom got so much better by blocking those with shit takes so I don't have to see them again.
Lol this is probably a bit hypocritical because of what I discuss on my blog but I think I've done good at making sure it's not only about that, at least no anymore! And it's also why I encourage people to unfollow me if my content gets too pessimistic for them.
I think you did a good thing by unfollowing, tbh, because as you said it's just bringing your experience down and you'd much rather celebrate what you love then seeing people fall for trolls. It's a shame meta twitters you enjoy are falling for it though...

Quirkless Hero
Bakugou x f!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n is quirkless. Has been and always will be(well kinda of that is), but that's never stop her from getting strong to be a hero. Walls that seem to be unbreakable appear in her life, but that doesn't stop her. Until a wall greater than she's ever faced shows up. She begins to question if she should just give being a hero or continue to move forward and still try. As she thinks about giving up, a certain ash blonde decides to help her break down this wall alongside her.
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: News
Words: 2908
Tumblr media
Thud!
"Ha! I win!" Y/n looked down at the person under her. Putting her staff across their chest. She had a smirk across her face in victory.
The boy under her smirked. "Yeah well, not for long." He grabbed both ends of the metal pole and flipped Y/n to the ground. Hands still on the ends of the staff, he flipped with her, putting him on top of her. He pushed the staff to her chest to keep her from getting up.
"Owwwahaha, that hurt Kenji." Y/n let a laughing groan(is that what you call it? When you do the weird laugh when you get hurt? idk).
Kenji let out a chuckle. Looking down at his girlfriend, eyebrows furrowed together slightly with a small smile. "That's kinda the point."
Y/n rolled her eyes then looked up at Kenji. "Can you get off me now? Please?"
Kenji pondered for a moment. "Mmmmm, no." He smirked, "I like the view." He said looking down at his girlfriend, getting a little closer to her face. All Y/n did was give him a deadpanned look. She had gotten rather used to his flirtatious remarks since they started dating. She was about to give him a reply when she was quickly interrupted. It was a girl's voice.
"Ewwwww! Get a room you two!" The girl said with a chuckle. She was one of Y/n and Kenji's only friends. She was currently sparing with another classmate next to the couple.
Pov change-
You both looked at your friend with a small blush on your faces.
"Izumi!" You yelled at her from across the field. All she did was let out a giggle. Turning back to look up at your boyfriend you pulled your legs up to your chest and pushed him off. He fell onto his back groaning.
He looked up at you. "You couldn't have been a little nicer?" He held out his hand asking for help up. You grabbed his forearm.
"Well, I did ask you once to get off but you didn't listen." You replied as you pulled him up. Just as Kenji was about to answer you back he was interrupted.
"Alright class that enough for today. Go get changed and head back to class." Your teacher announced. The class stopped their sparing and headed towards the school from the field. Izumi came running over to you both.
"Hey gu-"
"Mr. Hara." Your teacher called from close behind. You three turned. "Please keep the flirting to a minimum or don't do it at all during my class." You snickered.
"Yes sensei!" Kenji answered bashfully with a small bow.
"You too Ms. L/n." Your teacher added with a straight face. You froze.
"Uh-I-um, uh y-yes sir!" You stuttered. This time it was Kenji's turn to laugh.
I wasn't even flirting this time!
"Yeah Mrs. L/n." Kenji mocked bumping your shoulder. You tried to kick him, but he quickly got away anticipating the move.
"Gotta try harder than that to get me Y/n!" He yelled as he started to run, obviously wanting you to try a catch him. A deadpanned looked came to your face once again. You turned to Izumi, who still walking next to you.
"He's such a pain." You rolled your eyes. The indigo haired girl next to you let out a giggle.
"Then why are you dating him again?" Izumi asked playfully.
"Oh shush!" You pushed her shoulder. Both of you let out a laugh.
-Time skip to the end of the school day-
"HAHAHA!!" Izumi let out a loud laugh.
"It's not funny! It was embarrassing!" Kenji replied defensively. A tint of pink dusted his cheeks.
"Then maybe you shouldn't fall asleep in class." You added a bit playfully looking to the boy at your right. Kenji groaned.
"It's not my fault Mrs. Nakamura's class is boring." All you could do was giggle at your boyfriend's distress. Silence fell over the three of you as you continued to walk to the school entrance gate. It wasn't awkward, it was a comfortable silence.
The three of you had been friends since school began in the spring. It's now fall. You and Kenji were the first to meet. You both met in the hall after your first bully incident. Not long after the two of you befriended Izumi after being assigned as a group during hero training. You were to 'rescue' another group that had been taken hostage by 'villains'(your teachers). You three passed.
After that, the three of you continued to do work together and hang out after school whenever you guys had time. Each of you helped each other grow. Since you don't have a quirk, you helped Kenji and Izumi grow with theirs. Pointing out different areas of their quirk to make them stronger. They on the other hand helped you grow in strength and combat.
"Welp," Izumi stretched her arms over her head once approaching the gate, "this were we part ways. See you guys tomorrow!" She gave a small wave and started to walk down the sidewalk home.
You Kenji responded at the same time. "See you tomorrow Izumi!" The two of you went the opposite way. You both lived in the same direction but Kenji was a little further from you, so he ends up walking home by himself.
POV change~
The couple was engaged in small talk as they walked down the street. Kenji's arm wrapped loosely around Y/n's waist as always. The leaves on the trees were turning colors, from vibrant greens, to warm yellows, oranges, and reds. A few leaves were scattered along the walkway. Every now and then, there would be a satisfying crunch under their feet.
While on the topic of homework, Y/n felt a buzz from her coat pocket. She reached in and pulled out her phone. A smile spread across her face.
-One New Message-
From: Favorite Cousin❤️🪨
"Who is it?" Kenji asked as he turned his head toward the phone in Y/n's hands.
Y/n gave him a short answer. "Ej." She tapped on the notification bringing her to her messaging app to see what her cousin sent her.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Hiiiii
Y/n chuckled at the text.
Quirkless wonder:
Hiiiiii👋
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Whatcha doin?
Quirkless wonder:
Walking home with Kenji
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Ooo romantic😙
Y/n snorted, she gave Kirishima an eye roll he obviously couldn't see. Kenji looked over to his girlfriend with a questioning look.
"What's so funny?"
"Ejirou asked what I was doing and I said walking home with you. He responded with, 'oooo romantic'." Y/n said the last bit with a hint of sarcasm. Kenji let out a chuckle and pulled the girl closer to his side.
"I can make it more romantic if you like." He got closer to her face. His eyebrows were raised and a smirk made way to his face. Y/n let out a small laugh and pushed the boy's side with hers. She stopped walking and pulled up the camera on her phone.
Kenji stopped with her confused. "What are you doing?"
Y/n held her phone in front of them. "Make a face."
"Why?"
"Just do it. I'm showing how 'romantic' our walk home is." Kenji leaned closer to her face taking a bit of hair to make a mustache on his face.
"How this?" He asked puckering his lips to keep the hair in place. The girl laughed.
"Perfect!" Y/n sucked in her cheeks make fish lips, then crossed her eyes. Keeping her finger where the button was she took the picture. The two then looked at the picture.
"Romantic," Kenji adds with a fake serious look on his face.
Y/n giggled, then nodded her head. "Very romantic indeed." She sent the picture.
Quirkless wonder:
How's this?
Not long after he responded.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Ahh yes, very romantic👍
Once again the (h/c) let out a chuckle.
Quirkless wonder:
What are you doing?🤔
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Going to do some studying Bakubro
Quirkless wonder:
Didn't he hit you in the head with a newspaper last time???
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Yeah😓
Quirkless wonder:
Then.....why are studying with him????🤨
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
It helped surprisingly😅
Y/n mentally face palmed.
Favorite Cousin❤️🪨:
Plus, the rest of the squad aren't much for studying and he ranked 3rd in midterms. So I don't have very many options.
As Y/n began to type back, she felt something soft press on her cheek. She looked over to the boy standing next to her, seeing that they arrived at their house.
Kenji pressed another kiss but this time her forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow at school." With that he walked towards home. Before he got to far, Y/n called out to him. Making the boy turn around
"Yeah! See you tomorrow!" She replied with a smile and slight wave. Kenji smiled and waved back. Turning back around, he continued home.
Phone still in hand, Y/n opened the gate to her yard and walked in. Quickly she turned around and closed it. Looking back down at her phone she continued to type her response.
Finishing, she quickly hit send.
Quirkless wonder:
Well then, I wish you the best of luck with your study session with the grumpy explosive boy. Don’t die
Favorite cousin ❤️🪨:
I won't lol
We just got to where we're going to study so I'll talk to you later
Love u
Quirkless wonder:
Love you too
Looking back up from her phone, she made her way up to the front door. Not knowing there was a surprise on the other side waiting for her. Barely making it into to the house, she ended up screaming. Why? Her annoying younger brother.
"RAAAAAAAAAA!"
"AHHHHH!" Y/n let out a short high pitch scream. She jumped what felt like a few feet in the air, nearly dropping her phone in the process. Hiro let out a hearty laugh dropping to the floor.
"BWHAHAHAHA! You should've seen the look on you face!"  Hiro held his stomach as he shook from his uncontrollable laughter. Tears began to swell in his eyes as he took to much joy from antagonizing his sister.
Y/n however did not fine this funny in the slightest. "Hiro! Your such a butt!" Walking over to the boy on the floor, she pushed him over using her foot. Not even phasing him or breaking him out of his trance of laughter.
Huffing, the girl turned taking off her shoes and placed them by the door. She hung her coat on the rack that hung on the wall. Picking up her backpack she took off to remove her coat, she headed to her room, completely ignoring the boy on the floor.
-Time Skip-
"So? How was school you two?"
Currently the L/n family was sat down for dinner. Once in a while, Ren and Hana would still be at work, working on last minute plans, attending meetings, or finishing last minute projects. Luckily tonight, they got to be home with their kids.
"Good."
"Boring."
Hiro had a pout on his face and poked his food with his chopsticks. Y/n chuckled as she picked up a bit of her rice and ate it. He said that almost every night at dinner. So she decided to poke the bear, knowing his answer was still going to be the same.
"Why was it boring?" All the boy did was grumble as he looked up from his food to his sister.
"I don't get to do anything fun. All we do is work." Hiro angrily stabbed a piece of his teriyaki chicken.
"That's kind of the point of school Hiro." His father added from the head of the table.
"I know. But I wish we got to do something more fun like sis does."
"Hiro, that's because I go to a hero school and your still in middle school(I don't know how the Japanese school system  age wise works so bare with me)." Y/n look looked up from her rice and to her very grumpy younger brother.
Hiro dropped his chopsticks on the table. "Yeah, I know bu-"
Hana interrupted him before he could continue. "Why don't we talk about something else before you two start arguing."
A silence fell among the family as they continued to eat. After a minute or so, Ren decided to speak up.
"We actually do have something that we need to talk to you both about." The teens looked up to their dad both mid chew. The h/c swallowed her food and looked to the right of the table.
"What is it?" A little bit of anxiety and stress set in thinking the answer might be bad.
"A new building location opened a few moths ago and has been getting some break ins," shock came to both of the teens faces. Ren continued. "The people working there are on edge and I need to address the situation in person."
"So," Hiro looked to his sister then his dad, "are you saying we're moving?" All his father did was nod. It was Y/n's turn to speak up.
"Wait new building location?" She started trying connect the dots where they were going to move to. Her heart started to race in anticipation. "You mean, you mean the one in Mustafu?" She looked to her mother in reassurance. She smiled crept onto her face as she nodded.
"No way!" Y/n stood up and put her hands on the table causing her chair to almost fall over. She had never been more excited in her life to move. She's going to get to see her cousin in person again after all these years. She was absolutely astatic. "I gotta tell Ei!"
Right before she went anywhere her mom stopped her. "No!"
Y/n whipped her head in her mother's direction in confusion. "Why not?" Her voices was slightly raised. This made her a little hurt.
"We told Akari about moving and thought that maybe you could surprise him by showing up at his house or something instead of telling him immediately." Explained Hana. Y/n nodded at the suggestion. Surprising him sounds a lot more fun.
"Alright. Yeah, I'll do that."
"Wait, when are we moving?" Hiro asked. He looked back and forth between his parents at both ends of the table.
"We are going to let you two finish the school year before we move. So we want to move into the house some time in February." Ren looked between his two kids. "And Y/n, sit down please."
"Oh right." Y/n sat back in her chair and scooted back up to the table.
"So you both don't need to worry about packing quite yet. We'll do that a bit after when we find out when we need to be out of the house." Hana added.
"So you guys found a house already?" Hiro questioned both his parents.
"Not yet," his father began, "we just got informed this morning not long after you guys left for school. So it'll be a few days till we find a house that's up for sale."
Y/n's heart was pounding. They were actually going to Mustafu. She gets to Ejirou. Her face fell. They're leaving. She has to to leave Kenji and Izumi. She has to leave her best friend. She's leaving her boyfriend. The first person outside of her family to believe in her. One of the first people to actually accept her as being quirkless. What if she ends up going to UA with Kirishima and the people there aren't nice? No no, he said they were nice. They wouldn't pick on her would they? The only person she could think that would a bit of a pain would be-
Y/n's mom interrupted her thoughts. "Y/n, you okay?" Her head snapped up to her direction.
"Yeah I'm fine." She sighed. "It's just- everything kinda hit me all at once. I'm excited to go back to Mustafu, but at the same time I have to leave Kenji and Izumi." She looked back down at her food. Picking up her chopsticks she poked at it.
Her dad spoke up. "You can always talk to them, you have their phone numbers. It's not like you'll be completely out of touch."
Y/n let out a heavy sigh. "I know but, what am I going to do about Kenji?"
"Long distance?" Hiro suggested shrugging his shoulders.
"I could but that would be hard. I like being able to interact with people beside video calls and text messages." Y/n rested her head in her palm as her elbow rested on the table. Hana reached her hand over to her daughters back and rubbed circles on it.
"You'll figure it out. We know you will." She gave her words over encouragement as she looked into her eyes with a soft smile.
Y/n will tell Izumi and Kenji tomorrow at school sometime. It will be hard but she'll do it. Maybe before heading home she'll go someplace so she can talk to her boyfriend about what they'll do when she moves. Will they end it or try long distance? If they do end it, at least they'll be on good terms and it wasn't anything bad. Going back to being just friends wouldn't be to bad.

Can I request Atsumu Afro!American!s/o inviting him to her family cookout ( I’m not American tho)
Since you said you weren’t american i tried to make this not americanized (bc thats what i know) and relatively general so i hope i didnt trash this
ok so i want to start this by saying i can actually see atsumu as a top tier type of bf to bring and heres why:
hes not gonna show up there and be awkward as fuck. Hes not gonna be scared to engage in conversation. Also not gonna be the type of s/o thats like “babe come with me to fix a plate”. His ass is gonna just GO do it
he makes a perfect balance between a dork and smooth talker so he can vibe with all your family. Bashful laughs and genuinely polite greetings when he first meets your parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles to being able to act a fool with you and your cousins when the older folk are away
so when you first approach him like “hey do you wanna come to my family’s cookout,” hes excited. For one- its canon that this man loves food and loves to eat so hell yeah hes in. Second, i can imagine the fact that you’re comfortable enough in your relationship to bring him (whos obvs not black) is a big deal. Like you want him to meet your more extended family? hes like “oh shit i gotta impress” (also people be out here demonizing him more than needed- hes an asshole but not that bad, so even before he was aware of the more cultural aspect of it and is super respectful and wants to learn)
So you pull up with him, and I can imagine him being lowkey nervous the day of/drive to and youre just like “relax, just dont be you” as a joke and he glares at you and youre just like “I’m kidding”
Give him a tiny pep talk, he’d appreciate it. It’d be one of the times you get the sweet side and not the “yall just wild ass best friends who are dating” type him.
The minute he steps out of the car he literally hits a 180 on you and suddenly isn’t nervous. The music is a vibe, your hand is in his, and that food smells good. Hes annoying though and as yall walk thru to the central location hes like “watch your family like me more than you”
Anyways when yall get there its not early but its not late either, so food is highkey still cooking, save for a few hot dogs (which i’m gonna say turkey or veggie for my own selfish indulging LMAO). And this mans does NOT care. He’s still gonna eat 2-3
Anyways, you make quick rounds with him by your side to greet: he straight turns on the charm. To the point where its like “OK but you didn’t even charm me like this sir.” And trust me he eats the compliments your aunties and shit shoot off at him up. (but also props to you because you bagged a man who is fine as fuck)
Whether you say something or not, he asks YOU to go dance. So yall got your little red solo cups and he smooth grabbing your hand and just straight vibing with you. (he looked at youtube videos and learned to step much to your surprise so uh, you better know how to before he embarrasses you). bonus: when youre alone with close cousins later they like: spill the tea. his hips? d**k game gotta go crazy
anyways towards the later half of the day where the air is a lot more settled and everyone is just chilling, hes over with some of your guy cousins (lets say yall around the same age). Anyways you walk over after talking with your parents, beer in hand for him. Hes the type of bf to just wrap his hands around your middle even while your standing and you gotta give him the look that his hands better not slip lower. But yeah, your fam teasing anyways F in the chat
idk if hes more touchy because its getting late and the adrenaline and excitement for the day is winding down, or its because hes that comfortable with your cousins and they all friends now so if he wanna touch on his baby hes going to
hes actually really good at cleanup (now if only he’d exercise that not around your family lol). Hes handing out the foil, helping empty garbage cans, etc: yeah hes invited back, your family is impressed
yeah now hes tired, its dark its late and as yall are walking back to the car, he offers a squeeze to your hand. “Thank you for inviting me. I had fun.” He also loved seeing you being unapologetically black and you and not having to code switch and yeah he fell in love right then and there at the bright smiles and just pure joy (hes not gonna tell you that part tho, maybe if your sleep and he thinks you cant hear but don’t hold your breath on him voicing that)
bonus: he helped (kinda) with whatever dish you made. He also brought the extra foil, because he didn’t wanna fuck up and bring something stupid
bonus: your fam like “ooo you should bring us a Japanese dish next time” and yeah he takes something osamu made and claims its his and that he made it all while you look at him like 🤨 knowing damn well-

Write a story about Mammon celebrating his first pay check with his gal!! If ya know what I mean
@tehwalkingpoptart Idk what you mean, cuz Mammon would have already spent his first check before calling up his girlfriend for some quality time. 💀😭 I hope it's okay if this story is fluff, because I'm actually at work while writing this. You're my second ask, but you did request something else before...So still my first ask...? Idk, but I hope you enjoy!
Payday: Fem!Reader x Mammon
Out of all the days you had to work, your coworker just had to quit at the very last minute. You hated that you got called in to Hedonist Cleaners, your part-time job that you picked up while living in the Devildom on your day off. You knew that you didn't necessarily have to work while living with Mammon and his brothers, but you insisted because you wanted to repay the demon brothers' kindness for allowing you to live with them during the exchange program.
Two hours. Two painfully long and boring hours before closing time. You looked at the clock impatiently, wishing you had the power to make time go by faster. It wouldn't have been so bad if you had another coworker to talk to, but since you didn't it made it all the more dull for you at the front counter.
Just when you were about to call your manager to ask if you could close the store early, you got a text message from your boyfriend Mammon.
"Hey, babe! Guess who just got PAID?"
Smiling to yourself at your boyfriend's text, you decided to humor him.
"I don't know, who?"
"Your first and only, ME the Great Mammon!"
"Lol, haha"
"So, I was thinkin' if maybe ya wanna go out when ya get off work tonight?"
You paused. You'd love to go, but you didn't bring a change of clothes. There's something about going out in your work uniform before or after hours that irritates you. Mainly it's because you don't want to represent your job when you're off the clock. A small portion of you found it lame even, but sometimes it can't be helped. But if it can...
"Sure, but I didn't bring a change of clothes...what did you have in mind?"
"It's a secret! 😋 Ah, n don't worry about wearin' ya work uniform, my human looks sexy in anythin' 😘"
A warm smile formed on your lips. Even though you and Mammon had been dating for about six months, you still get butterflies in your stomach; your heart still skips beats whenever Mammon shows you affection, and you always feel a happiness that is almost childlike whenever and wherever you spend time with your demon boyfriend.
"Anyway, I'll see ya at 8, babe! 😎"
You marked the text as "read," and went back into work mode the moment a customer walked into the store.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
"So, where are we going?" You asked as you buckled your seatbelt in Mammon's car.
"[Y/N], babe, I said it was a secret. C'mon, can't I be a good boyfriend and keep just one lil secret?" Mammon smirked teasingly, causing you to blush and giggle.
"Okay, okay," you gave in with a laugh.
"Yes! Thanks, babe, ya won't regret it!"
As Mammon started up the car and pulled out of the driveway, worry and nervousness glazed over his features. Why? Because it was something out of their normal routine as a couple. Whenever you and Mammon went out for dates, it was either to the movies, eating at fancy restaurants where he was always short on cash, making you foot the remainder if not pay entirely, or simply getting in his sports car and go wherever the road takes them.
This idea of a date was a change of pace, but he didn't know if you would like it.
Mammon made a right turn onto a dirt road, away from the House of Lamentation. Now you were both very confused and very alert as you don't recognize the new path, leading deeper and deeper into the woods.
"Uh, hey, babe? Where exactly are we going?" You asked, trying not to allow your voice to falter.
Tried as you might, Mammon could sense your anxiety, but never took his eyes off the road. The Devildom's wilderness is unsettling to say the least at night to a human, but he knew where he was going. He was determined to protect you. Nothing was going to ruin what he had planned out.
"I love hearin the sound of ya voice, [Y/N], but we gotta stay quiet in this part of the woods," Mammon whispered with a serious tone his voice. It's a tone that you've never heard before coming from him, so you simply nodded and stayed quiet.
"See, if we make too much noise," Mammon whispered, "we'll be attracting danger to ourselves. Trust me, ya don't wanna know what lives out here and I don't feel like makin a mess here, ya know?"
You nodded again, with fear glimmering in your eyes. Mammon leaned over to the passenger side and gave you a quick peck on your cheek, refocusing his attention on the road.
Several minutes went by in tense silence, the only noise being the soft hum from the car engine. You looked up from your D.D.D and noticed you two were heading toward a clearing with a perfect view of the night sky, overlooking the palace of the Devildom, RAD, and other businesses and homes within the city.
As Mammon parked the car on the lookout, he turned to look at you, with a small blush appearing on his face.
"I know this ain't what we usually do for our dates, but I wanted us ta have a nice change of pace, y'know?" Mammon's blush deepened, with your own face reddening as your mind shamelessly wondered about the different scenarios lookout points usually end up. You mentally fought off your dirty thoughts as you focused on the Avatar of Greed, as he continued to stumble on his words.
"So-so, ta show that ya mean a lot ta me, I wanted our date here. 'Cause I wanted ya to know that all a this is yours when... when you're with me."
Mammon's blush deepened. "So, since I got paid, I wanna ask ya something. Come with me, please, [Y/N]," Mammon said nervously, as he unbuckled his seatbelt and opened the car door. You did the same, and followed him to the edge of the cliff.
Before you knew it, Mammon went into his pants pockets and pulled out a small black box as he knelt down on one knee.
Your eyes widened as your placed both hands over your mouth, eyes threatening to create a waterfall.
"Babe no way, no way!" You shrieked in pure joy.
There, resting snugly in the ring's box was a beautiful silver engagement ring, with a medium-sized yellow diamond laying in a bed of small white diamonds.
"I think this is how you lowly humans propose ta each other. So uh, [Y/N], I really and truly love ya with everythin' I have. I don't get as greedy when I'm around ya; I'm only greedy for you and your love. Took me way too long to realize it for myself, but-"
"Ya damn right it took you forever, Mammon! And yes, I'll marry you!" You exclaimed with a laugh, stretching your right arm down toward Mammon as he slid the ring on your right ring finger.
You jumped into his arms the moment he stood upright, hugging and kissing each other passionately.
"I love ya, Mammon," you said softly as you parted from his lips, staying in his embrace.
"I love ya too, [Y/N]...For a lowly human."
You sucked your teeth and playfully hit him on his arm, laughing.
"So, uh...ya like these dates then?" Mammon asked sheepishly.
"Fine time of asking me now after all this! But yes, I don't mind being out here looking out over Devildom, so long as it's with you."
The two of you leaned back against the hood of the car, viewing the beautifully whimsical sky of the Devildom.
Karasu then flew overhead, shouting his congratulations to you while simultaneously clowning on Mammon and all that he stood for in his signature Karasu loving way.

Thanks for reading! Sorry this is so late, but I hope you like it! Between work and figuring out if I'm going back on campus took up most of my time, so I finally finished up while at work. Posting from my cell phone, please forgive me for any grammatical errors!

It’s wonderful how you love reading people’s words about almost anything and attend to their words, being able to sense their feelings behind it. And I agree, it’s so lovely when you can sense a person’s joy through their words, as you said! Here I am once again, feeling special, thanks to you 💛 You’re a darling! And I’ll try my best to send long asks whenever possible!! (1/11)
Ahh, it’s going to be a while before I actually feel comfortable doing chart readings! But you know what? I would be happy to read your astrology chart for free, if you want! It would be great practice for me and it would give me a chance to grow my confidence. Though only if you want, let me know! ☺️ I’m so happy to know you’re learning and grasping everything perfectly! The way you believe in me astrology-wise makes my heart all warm 💓 (2/11)
I’m sorry your summer courses got cancelled btw, especially since you were on track to graduate. Hopefully, this gives you time for yourself though. I wish I can say I enjoy being active too, but it’s not something I do often tbh. Though I do love walking, as well as dancing (but it’s been a while). I need to find more activities that can get me moving 😔 Ah I see, what solo activities do you like doing to stay active? (I fall on the introverted side, I tend to favor being alone too) (3/11)
I’m on the same boat as you + your family. I haven’t been outside since mid-March and being at home until now has made me a bit antsy. It probably added to the weird headspace I was in too. Though that’s gone now, I’m feeling much better + less stressed thankfully. The semester is still in session for me, I’ve got about until mid-May until it’s over. Though I’m glad that school will be over before my birthday, so that’s a blessing I’m super thankful for! I can enjoy my day in peace, aha. (4/11)
Manipulation can be associated with a few other signs too actually, but Scorpio is definitely up there in the top three! And it is definitely true that that as you get older, you can either grow more into your sign’s archetype or some traits lessen over time. Rather than it being some traits disappearing, it’s more likely due to other planetary energies in certain signs coming into play and becoming more prominent. (5/11)
There’s also this point in everyone’s chart, the midheaven. It’s been said that whatever sign a person’s midheaven is in, that person shows more of that energy as they get older. Which brings me to how you got the impression that I’m a Libra! My midheaven is in Libra, which is probably why you felt that more than Taurus. It’s fascinating, especially since we’re just interacting through messages. Didn’t know my Libra energy was showing that strongly but it’s nice being aware of that now! (‪6/11‬)
I will definitely let you know if any of my guesses change when I do a rewatch of the whole series! (P.S. did you hear the announcement that A:TLA will be on Netflix ‪on May 15th‬?!) And to make it more fun, I’ll assess the other characters as well and share what signs I believe they could possibly be! I’ll consider it my mini summer project 😋 But oh my gosh, soft Zuko in the comics? 🤧 Maybe I should read the comics too then, since it might give me more material to work with. (‪7/11‬)
Your questions made sense, it’s all good! I think the best thing to refer to and see how Yue’s Venus energy influences Zuko’s Cancer side is that conversation in chapter 22 of Limerence, where Zuko told Yue that if having a family meant having a family with her, then that’s all he could ever want. Of course, he loves her, so there’s no doubt about them having a family together eventually. (‪8/11‬)
Though this is highlighted more with Yue’s Venus + Zuko’s Cancer energy because those energies meshing creates a soft/tender vibe, which makes coming together and creating a family highly ideal. Because Venus carries this loving energy which reinforces Cancer’s love for being domestic. As for the dynamic of Yue’s Libra and Zuko’s Aries, I feel that it’s one of the things that sets the overall tone for their relationship. (‪9/11‬)
With Aries/Libra, it’s kind of a classic case of Venus & Mars, so Yue being the affectionate/gentle one while Zuko being the intense/bold one, that paints the picture of their Aries/Libra dynamic. All that Libra/Scorpio energy in your sister’s family though, wow!! There are some common patterns in astrology that can occur with family, and one of those patterns can manifest as a certain sign or two being strong in the family. I guess that’s completely true for your sister! (‪10/11‬)
I’ll wrap all of this up by saying that chapter 33 of Limerence is completely enthralling! With every single chapter, I’m just in love with your storytelling. You’re such a fantastic writer! And also, it’s very enjoyable talking to you every time! Thank you for showing such warm energy always, it’s refreshing 💜 -  🌻 (‪11/11‬)

AHHHH – my lovely 🌻-anon~! 🥰🥰🥰
How long have you been studying astrology, and how long does it usually take for one to gain the confidence and skills to provide a service? I’m just so curious – but I never had anyone to ask these questions and learn. I’m sorry if these queries sound silly 😅
BUT BABE.
I would love a reading – but I’ll have to give you something. I refuse to not pay or give something back (even if small!). Plus, I need to say thank you for indulging me and letting me bother you non-stop with my questions 😂 But, seriously – you should be confident. You have literally not only captured my interest but a lot of others too!
Honestly, as sucky as it is to not graduate, I’m doing exactly that – taking the time for myself. I’ve been going for walks as of late while listening to some tunes! I live near conservation, so I’m lucky that I have a huge forest with lakes and a beach to unwind. But before I got hurt, I used to do cross-country, high-jump, and shotput (I miss those days 😭).
But, if you enjoy dancing – I encourage Zumba💃
I know it seems random, but it’s something super fun to do by yourself (or with someone else, I usually do it with my mom) and it just gets you moving. I’ve been doing Zumba almost every day because sitting on the couch is starting to get to me. It’s totally random – but it’s a fun way to get active in the comforts of your home, and you got some fun music to listen to. I’m glad to hear you’ve gotten out of that weird headspace though – I relate a lot to you in that aspect. It can take a while to get out of it, but the important part is that you did it! And I wish you the best with school, you’re almost done.
Also, happy Taurus season, babe~! 😘😘
Ouu, so what other signs associate with manipulation? I always hear Scorpio, so you’ve piqued my interest. And, I’m going to be honest, I’m still in shock that you’re a Taurus LOOL. I don’t know why, but the way you write reminds me of some of my friends/family who are Libras. You just have this diplomacy when you write? Do I sound crazy – probably 😂😂. I’ve never heard about the midheaven, but now that you told me that, it does make a lot of sense. Like you know how Zuko screams Mars? You scream Libra for me😋
YES I DID HEAR. Okay, so I’m from Canada, so ATLA is already here for us to watch – but my best friend (he lives in the States) literally called me screaming in excitement. We’re planning binge-watching dates for us to video chat and watch together. So I think I can safely assume you shall be binge-watching ATLA starting May 15 😉😉
Soft Zuko.
I swear, I fangirled soooooooo damn hard.
My heart – gone.
Soul – snatched.
Zuko is just such a cutie, like a teddy bear – with that smile of his and I just ajsdksadjksjdkasdksd My body can’t handle this level of cuteness. Like he has his kick-ass moments, but getting to see that other side of him was beautiful. My favourite moment was he gives Kiyi a piggy-back ride and tucks her into bed. If you end up reading the comics – you gotta let me know. I’m dying to know what you think of it!
It was also neat seeing Katara’s and Aang’s relationship develop in the comics (and Toph). Like the comics captured the essence of an awkward teenage romance (Katara and Aang) blooming into a long-lasting relationship. Like my friends said they cringed so hard during some ‘romantic’ moments between them, and they’re like it made us cringe not because it was bad, but because that was us when we were teenagers with our partners.
Oh wow – thank you for the examples! Honestly, it makes sense now about the domestic aspects with Zuko’s Cancer and Yue’s Venus. I just needed to make sure I was understanding it, I need to know these facts👏👏 But I swear – I feel like their whole relationship is the definition of chaotic neutral 😂😂
Is there a reason why certain signs have a strong presence in certain families (like you mentioned how you have a lot of ‘me’s’ in yours lol). Or is just random?
But I’m glad you enjoyed chapter 33, love! It feels so nice to get back into a writing routine – I was going nuts, not able to write consistently. I need to channel my chaotic energy into my stories LOOL
But I hope you’re taking care of yourself (family and friends included) in these times! It’s nice engaging in these long chats, it makes so happy (can you tell 😂).
I can’t wait till I hear from you again🌻~! 💜💜💜

The Smell of Sunflowers. A Short Story.
We all think from time to time, about being loved unconditionally, a mother's touch, a lover's embrace, acceptance of one's self. We as humans crave it. From the moment you are violently screaming your existence into the world to when you are peacefully closing your eyes for the very last time.
You are put onto a path, one that takes you through this rugged, beautiful, odd journey, By accident, by purpose, by chance. You are introduced to individuals that teach you a thing or two about yourself. This story, is like that. Lessons learned, and purposes found.
A short, brief love story. If you are not doing much, perhaps offer a bit of your time.
I digressed, I was never really good at introducing a topic or story. You can say this is my first. If I remember correctly it starts around the same time as it is today. Cold, fall is passing and winter engaged. Although it was cold I remember being so warm, kind of glowing. Rebranded with new purpose. Cold air wrapped itself loosely and swiftly, felt like lace around my face, I was walking to work, I worked fast food at the time. I was a cook and typically moving in a hurry to work, with my music turned up loud enough to where I felt I was there. I really like to walk with my headphones in. The feeling and vibes, I could paint hearing the assembled sound of instruments. I could see the vibe attached with my music, I felt like I could describe it so well. My first love, music.
I loved waiting till the last minute, then bolt out the door energy drink in hand and moving like a bullet through the wind. Gotta love that youth, am I right? I just started Graveyard, and I got told it wouldn't be my usual coworker. I was used to working with.. Well for personal reasons I can't give you a name, so let's call her Molerat, as derogatory as that can sound, I find it appropriate. Usually an innocent girl, she just had a way of flipping a script and twisting your words into a balloon animal. One that you were unaware that you apparently made.
I don't have much at the moment I care to tell you about Molerat. Other than that I was not going to be working with her that night, I came in that night, per my usual timing a few minutes late, head to the back dropped my bag off, my bag I carried had my wallet, keys, an extra flannel red in color, my portable speaker, phone charger and typically an extra energy drink in addition to the one I had already. I took my energy drink and speaker to my work station which would be the grill area, back then this ritual, I believed made the shift more enjoyable, even though it was not enjoyable.
The smell of grease and burnt meat would be swimming toward my nostrils. The last of a dinner rush would be exiting and as the previous shift members were heading out and I settled in
Enter.. my coworker for the evening, I remember her wearing this thin black jacket with a flannel underneath, carrying a skateboard technically a long board, and a rasta colored satchel. She had this piercing above her lip, not in the middle but on the side. It looked cute honestly. She had these big doe like eyes, and lips that pursed like to together like those old style Hollywood actresses. After everyone from the last shift left, and we both were settled in, I attempted to introduce myself to her, in this story ladies and gentlemen, no names will be used. So call me Crow, cheesy I know but there's a purpose the name plays on and we'll get to that later. I remember awkwardly sticking my hand out like I was closing a business deal or something. She glanced at it and told me her hands were dirty. I think she said like a few minutes later. I felt a little rejected but not completely devastated. I mean after all we were both just there to scrape up some money and go home. I still wanted to push my boundaries though, so I get my speaker and turn it on. One especially great thing about working graves was no managers or shift leaders to tell you you couldn't play music out loud and best believe I took full advantage of it.
So I offer her the option to play music, most people when asked to play music don't often play THEIR music. To me it was a intimate thing to share music, intimate in a way without touching or talking like you got to hear the vibes these people vibe with.
We exchanged music, swapping song from song, the kitchen was filled with tunes of all kinds vibes in the air, from gritty, fast paced punk, through the lyrical morose of indie, to the feeling of joy and excitement in old and new songs. "Musical Soulmate" was what she called me before the night was over. Hummingbird is what I'm gonna call her. She was precious and pretty like a small Hummingbird. Like a floating little daisy that smiled and made me feel warm.
All these vibes and phases that my music helped me through. Being projected and straight into the ears of Hummingbird, This moment as I look back I would wanna call this phase the Color Yellow. They said Vincent Van Gogh ate the color yellow to cure his depression, unfortunately and ultimately succumbing to depression. I suppose the god of Death wasn't keen on just waiting around for such an artist to arrive. Bet he's painting some really beautiful things right about now, I really appreciated his pieces that included sunflowers. Those are my favorite, You gotta really give it to Death for giving life meaning.
Happiness is what the color yellow resembled and happiness in life was what I mark this brief period of my life. This happiness would be a story of love.
Eventually November flew by and December idled, blink and you'll miss it. Hummingbird and I grew more accustomed to each other. Although no feelings of love were declared you could see it, if you were there. That we were screaming it everyday at each other with every word, action and song played. You see I was supposed to be leaving to Oregon sometime within the next year, and December was well on its way to concluding a long and significant year in my change. New Year's eve, I still remember, Hummingbird and I shared our first kiss. Bringing in the new year together I was supposed to be getting to a party that night with a few friends. That kiss made me realize that there was nowhere else I'd rather be besides next to my Hummingbird. Nowhere else I'd wanna go, unless she was right there with me. So I canceled that move.
These next monthes would be confusing, exciting, and terrifying. As the phrase suggests Falling in love was exactly that. Falling, and falling and falling not stopping until you do, we were such careless lazy lovers. Living those days inside each other, it wouldn't be until the eve month of summer that a very specific surprise would arrive. The Crow and Hummingbird would be intertwined for life by the bond of birth. We were pregnant. We spent the summer trying to wrap our heads around it all. Having no car and living in the desert was a big drag, and a big challenge. It felt like I couldn't keep a job either. We were tasked with getting to know the best and worst parts of each other through the pregnancy. There were times of doubt, and times of reassurance. Keeping in mind this is a love story.
We'd eventually get a car and life was easier and through Fall and through the Winter we spent out on the road and on our own, flying wherever we wanted to be, enjoying every holiday as our last ones alone before the fruit of our trees would join us. I significantly remember Christmas 2018, how much I felt grown up, happy and carefree with my beloved. I wasn't just a Crow anymore, I was a Lovebird. Crows can be lovebirds too! The only purpose for using the name Crow. Lol That night is and will always be unforgettable. This is a love story.
January arrived and the month we both waited for. Again another January brought upon a new change, but this time for both of us. Our young, strong daughter was brought into this world on the 15th of January bearing the sign of the Sea Goat like her father before her. Blue eyed and resembling the beauty of her mother. Another light in my life was lit. Both of my girls were here. My beloved and my precious little girl. This is a love story.
This year would be a year of also many changes. For the better I do not know. For the worst I would like to think not. Lots of growing I witnessed in my daughter and in my beloved Hummingbird. I've never seen more growth from one person than her. She willingly let herself blossom and bloom into a woman. Becoming stronger, wiser, and even more gorgeous. Aging like fine wine. No jewel, no treasure, no goddess rivaled it. This is still a love story.
Somewhere along this year maybe the ending of the summer, there was doubt. Lots of doubt. I see it now, I lost strength and I didn't lose it naturally, I let myself lose it. Doubt was only natural. Love as you know is what we as humans crave. To not feel alone in a world that individualizes each and everyone. To eventually feel alone while being in love is a nasty thing. Nobody deserves such a thing. Maybe somewhere along the lines or between them there was a long lost feeling I forgot to tend to. A strong feeling. Ancient in age and has been felt since the dawn of man. If left unattended could consume the best of a man. This... Is... Still... A... Love... Story...
Lots of yelling, lots of hurting, lots of choices made. In the short time from September to November. Ladies and gentlemen this is a still a story.
Where we are left now is at the end. There are no more friends, there isn't a lover, there will not be a happy ending. Because To be frank I don't know what has ended or what has begun. I deserve no sympathy, no sad songs, and especially no love.
I the Crow, did this to myself, and I the Crow am the only one that has to be the one to fix myself. There is no smell of sunflowers and the one who smells of sunflowers is the same as the color yellow. They are happiness, they are good. Listen when I tell you that emotions run logic into the ground if left unchecked. Good men lose the battle everytime, we are warriors and not everything has to be a fight with hands. I used to think I knew how It all worked and how I could be better than I was.
Truth is I left those demons unchecked. I destroyed what I was given. I'm lost and I just want to see my girls. Hold them both in my arms. I don't want to give up. I don't want to hate. I don't fucking want to feel like this anymore. This is a love story. This is our story, this is my story, the story of a Crow that didn't learn anything and repeated his cycle. What's left is to move forward. There's only one way direction travels and that way is the only way to go. I apologize and will continue to do so till my final breathe.
I've learned its humility that humbles you. A tragedy that wisens you, and finally clarity is reached when you finally have faced those demons.
To my Hummingbird, I love you and will always love you. I'm on a path right now for a better and wiser me. Stronger and good of spirit. I do this for myself. But... I do, do this to maybe one day reunite. To meet each other again for the first time. It won't be soon, but I do truly hope to live in your arms and you in mine once this journey is completed. We could maybe be one, once more.
I'm alive and well. I don't wish to disrupt you and your peace but I do wish to hear from you and our daughter. Your well being and adventures. Thanksgiving will be here soon. I'm thankful we got to meet. Thank you.
Forever yours, the Sunflower

@jenndesq replied to your post “There was a time when I had Sebastian Stan blacklisted because I did...”
i have succumbed to the pressure of my dash to watch the marvel movies, so in the last week and a half i've watched captain america 1, iron man 1, iron man 2, thor, the avengers, iron man 3, thor 2, captain america 2, and both guardians of the galaxy. i gotta say, most of them are a huge snoozefest but i did enjoy the iron mans and avengers, and i get the appeal of captain america even though he's imo annoyingly white bread. if i hadn't seen black panther and really loved it i probably would not be doing this to myself lol but too late now - gotta push through to the end!
Honestly, it’s not everybody’s thing. Some like everything and are big comic geeks of old, some are just fans of the movies, some just like the pretty people and things going boom... But I’ve got to say, I have never managed to get in to anything that I’ve only watched because everyone says it’s awesome. But I applaud your dedication to seeing this through!! LOL!
EDIT: this became a long post. I’m not sure how that happened...
I slid into the movies slowly. I was a comic book geek of old--not a full-on geek but surrounded by them for years so I found my faves (Hellblazer, the Xmen, and Deadpool mostly)--and I had a hit-and-miss relationship with the modern crop of superhero movies (post-Reeves’ Superman). The first two Batman movies were delightful (dear god, Keaton and Pfeiffer are still a top tier duo for me) but the rest of them... the less said the better. Then the first two X-Men were revolutionary because suddenly they felt like the comics come to life, gritty and exciting... and then The Last Stand happened and I haven’t enjoyed an X-Men movie since. The first Spiderman was fun and the second was awesome just because of Alfred Molina but everything from Sony in that franchise since has been a miss. Anyway, you get the point.
So Iron Man came out and I didn’t see it right away because I had no expectations that it would be any better than what came before it and every suspicion it would be worse. But then I caved because I have a small warm spot always for RDJ... and lo, it was SO GOOD. Thor was fun but flawed (Hiddleston was perfection and Hemsworth was delightful and beautiful and surprisingly adept with comedy, Portman phoned in a script that failed Jane Foster in every way).  I avoided Captain America for YEARS because frankly, he bored me in the comics and my best friend used to sing the cartoon theme song at me when she was feeling particularly obnoxious... So I watched it right before Winter Soldier and it was great in parts and a bit slow in others... and then Avengers happened and everything changed for me. Everything I loved about the comics because distilled into these lush, exciting films that had been cast so well it was like the characters had literally pulled themselves from the pages of the comics. And when they differed, it was for good reasons and it WORKED.
And then came Winter Soldier and it was a slow glide to the top of a deep, deep drop off. I have since fallen over the cliff and there is no return. I am GONE baby, gone. A full-on Marvel girl, in for the whole ride. I am not uncritical, but mostly I can overlook stuff that doesn’t work because I am so engaged in the world and the interpersonal relationships and the pretty... the beautiful, bruised and battered pretty. Because I am human.
That is my story, and why my blog now divides itself between Marvel and Glee. It is also my way of saying that if you don’t get the appeal, that is just fine... I am sometimes surprised to find myself here, a full-on Marvel fangirl. I mean, I wanted to like ACS: Versace but it was everything that is NOT MY THING. Not even for Darren. And I’m not as big a Darren fan as some of you, not by a long shot (I like him, but I am not avid), but I love being here surrounded by explosions of joy for things that bring people’s heart rates up, gets them excited for life and ALL THE THINGS.
And last but not least, I’ve just seen a post that said Happy Birthday and I missed it!! So Happy Birthday, you beauty. <3

Tumblr media
Your heart was pounding so loudly you could feel it in your head. The sound was deafening. You shut your eyes and inhaled deeply, then you opened your eyes again and let your last burst of adrenaline push you to keep going. Through your headphones Drake played, but honestly you could barely here it over your rapid heartbeat.
As you rounded the corner you saw your house in the distance. Which caused you to only push yourself harder, wishing to get this stupid run over with. You had a full day planned, and the sun was only just rising on the horizon behind your house. Upon arriving at your front lawn, you stopped sprinting and bent over so your hands were on your knees. Then you fell onto your back swiftly and laid there as your heart continued to act like a jackhammer.
Truthfully, you used to work out occasionally before, but after the proposal you realized just how much you needed to get your butt into shape. So early runs and late night gym sessions where the only things that fit into your schedule. Like today, most of your days were busy - from dusk till dawn. Setting up a wedding wasn't easy by any means.
Finally finding the energy, you let out a deep breath and got yourself off the front lawn. With the moisture adding to your sweat, your shirt was wet and reminded you that these warm summer days were seriously coming to an end. September ended today, which only meant it was another month away till your wedding day.
"Kino," you hushed the black lab puppy. The little thing was predictable, and was jumping up at you the moment you unlocked the door.
Some days you questioned why you let Andre convince you to get the new puppy. But other days, like today as you sat on the couch with a bottle of water and him nibbling on your fingers, you couldn't imagine not having Kino around. He was just a bundle of joy and you loved the little guy. Maybe not when he peed inside or anything like that, but he was learning.
As you went to refill your water, you opened up the back patio door, Kino got so wound up he ran right into the screen door. You laughed and then pushed back the screen so he could run into the backyard. Immediately he went to the bathroom, proving your point of just how much the little guy was learning.
"Kino!" You called for the pup, who quickly perked up his head from where he was digging - in your garden - and ran towards you. He got into the house and you shut the door behind him, then filling up his food and water dish before you went upstairs.
Andre was still fast asleep, and you knew practice today wasn't going to be an easy one because the new season started up next week and the coaches weren't messing around. First game back for the defending cup champs was going to be a big one, like all the rest of their games too. So after a quick shower, you got changed into a pair of blue ankle jeans - which you rolled up at the bottoms - and a white off the shoulder top with some cute flower stitching.
As you were putting in a pair of earrings and slipping back on your engagement ring you hear rustling from the bedroom. Then Kino was yipping and a low chuckle came from Andre. A flutter of butterflies came to your stomach as you leaned against the en suite bathroom door and watched as Andre wrestled with the rambunctious puppy. In the back of your mind - maybe a little closer than the very back - an image of Andre with your kids in the early morning came to you.
"Good morning," Andre smiled at you as he caught sight of where you stood across the room. You smiled back at him and walked towards where he laid.
"Morning," you muttered before pressing your lips to his. Andre had let the kiss become a lazy but passionate one, looping a finger into your jeans and bringing you closer to him till you were basically laying on top of him. You giggled and kissed him again, and then again. Then Kino was getting between the two of you.
"Kino," Andre said while pushing the dog back, only he was right back in Andre's face in an instant.
You chuckled and shook your head, "you've got practice in two hours, I'm going downstairs to make some breakfast," you stated while making your way towards the bedroom door.
"Will you make pancakes?" Andre asked while throwing his legs off the side of the bed. As you turned around, Kino was jumping off the bed and running towards you, then out and down the stairs again.
"Yes, and eggs or else your nutritionist will murder me," you said.
"Works for me," Andre shrugged before walking into the bathroom. You walked downstairs, finding Kino playing with one of his toys, which you were just thankful it wasn't one of your shoes. Then you got working on breakfast.
Most days out of the week you didn't get to just sit at the dining room table and enjoy breakfast with Andre. Which you were okay with, seeing as you were going to be spending the rest of your life with him. There were plenty of days to sit and enjoy breakfast and a coffee. Thankfully today just got the be one of them. As Andre poured your mugs of coffee, you dished out your guy's food and then set it on the table. Just as you took your seat, Andre brought over the coffee and sat in the seat beside you were his food was awaiting him.
"How was your run?" He asked between a mouth full of food.
"Good," you took a sip of coffee to wash away the food in your mouth. "I'm doing almost double as I started with a month ago now," you stated.
"Nice," Andre nodded. "Soon enough you'll be running a marathon,"
You chuckled and stabbed your fork into another piece of pancake. "As if, I'm too busy for that,"
"Speaking of," Andre sipped his coffee and leaned back in his chair. He patted his leg, motioning for you to rest your feet in his lap, but caused Kino to be by his side. Andre shooed him away and let his hand rest on your bare ankle. "What are you getting up to today?"
"Wedding wise, or just in general?" You asked.
"In general," he shrugged.
You smiled and took another sip of coffee, relaxing in your chair as Andre rubbed circled on your ankle. "Well after you leave I'll be in my office for a while, going through my upcoming appointments and such, then my mothers coming over,"
"Oh," his eyes widened, clearly surprised.
"Yeah, she suggested to come over and help with the invitations,"
"Alright," Andre nodded.
"It should be good," you said, playing with the food on your plate, "fun, maybe?" You questioned it, but shrugged in response to your own question.
"I'm sure it will end up being a good afternoon," Andre smiled. "Was there anything else we needed to go through before you made the invitations?"
"Uh, no," you pondered a few things but as far as you knew everything was pretty set in stone. "Date, colours, we picked out the venue. You trust me with the design?"
"Designing is literally your job, babe, of course I trust you," Andre chuckled and as he made movement settling his fork and knife on the empty plate, you placed your feet back on the ground and held your mug to your lips.
"Good," you smiled over the rim of the mug and took a sip.
"I've gotta get going to the rink, keep me updated on wedding stuff," Andre said while standing from his chair and bringing his dishes to the sink. He finished his coffee and then walked back towards you. "I'll be back before dinner," he stated.
You nodded in response and smiled at him, leaning your head back in your seat to look up at him. Andre mirrored your smile and then leaned down to peck your lips. You said your goodbyes and then you watched as Kino followed after Andre, barking as the front door shut and he walked him through the living room windows. Finally you called for the pup, setting your own dishes in the sink and filled up your coffee, before grabbing one of Kino's toys and making your way to your office.
You threw Kino's toy in the bed you had for him in the corner beside your desk and then took the seat in your chair. The sun was shining through the blinds, so you turned in your chair and pulled them up, revealing the beautiful day and lovely back yard. The engagement party was two months ago now, but the lights still hung above the yard and you loved it.
Checking the clock on your desktop, you saw you had just under two hours till your mother was to show. But also, knowing your mom, that meant you had maybe an hour till she was to call and asked if she could come earlier - which meant she would show up earlier. But that gave you enough time to finalize some appointments and deliveries for your current projects.
As expected, you got a call from your mother, then she was knocking on your front door moments later. Kino jumped up from his bed and ran towards the door, barking at the intruder like a true guard dog. You decided to play it safe and scooped up the puppy in your arms before unlocking the door and welcoming your mom.
“I didn’t know you got a dog,” she said while stepping into your home. Kino was still barking at her, but you kept hushing him and trying to get him to calm down.
“Yeah, about a month ago now,” you stated.
Kino sniffed your mother as she got close, she smiled at the pup and then pet his head once before turning around and taking off her coat. Your parents were never really pet people. There were a few cats here and there, but they were mostly to keep you company. In fact, you didn’t get your first dog till little Kino.
“I’ve just got to finish something up for work, then we can get going with the invitations,” you said to your mother as you set down Kino. He immediately jumped up so his littler paws hit her legs. “Kino!” You scowled at the puppy.
“Interesting name,” your mother muttered.
“Uh, yeah, Andre named him,” you said over your shoulder as she followed your down the hallway and into your office. “It suits him,” you exclaimed as the pup stubbled over his little paws and gathered him toy between his teeth.
“He’s cute,” your mother smiled down at the pup who was holding the toy for her to grab and play with him. As if that would happen though.
“Thanks?” You chuckled, unsure if you were supposed to take the compliment for your dog.
“How’s business?” She asked as you bent at your waist and clicked a few things, then typing some more and keeping your eyes on the desktop to keep focused.
“Good, really good,” you nodded, “I’m actually redoing a home just down the street, so that’s a bit easier. Also have a few bigger projects besides rooms or apartments so,”
It was weird, or at least it felt that way for yourself. After everything your parents had said and done lately, it was hard to fall back into the relationship you had going. Not that that was amazing by any means. But it was nicer than this. You glanced away from the screen to see your mom still standing near the entry of your office, Kino had settled by her feet - realizing she wasn’t going to play.
“That’s exciting,” you mother smiled.
“Yeah, it’s going to be great,”
“Well,” your mother sighed just as you closed your tabs and put your desktop on sleep mode. “I’m proud of you, Y/N,” she said in a soft tone. You felt taken back, but it was nice to hear. After all, they didn’t always keep tabs on your career.
“We can sit in the dining room, work out a design and everything for the invitations, then get on that pesky list,”
You offered your mother something to drink once entering the kitchen, only she declined while you filled up your mug. It took you nearly an entire mug of coffee to even think up of everyone from your side to invite. Then you were cutting off a few, like you great uncle Joe, and then you were quick to bring up Andre’s - you very well knew this was going to be the hard part. After many years in hockey, he had many teammates and friends and important coaches and you knew he wanted to included everyone.
“Andre wants to include Kino in the ceremony, somehow,” you stated while scrolling through your laptop.
“What? How?” Your mother questioned, just as confused as you were when you and Andre had this talk last week. You quickly put a pin on the topic though and he ran off into the backyard with his puppy. Well he was yours too, but he loved that dog like it was his son.
“Like the ring bearer or whatever,” you shrugged.
“No way,” she scoffed. “That puppy would swallow them whole right in front of everyone in the church aisle,"
You inhaled and looked at your mom across the dining room table. "Mom,” You began - dragging out the single word till she looked up at you from the wedding magazine she was looking at.
“I know, I know,” she waved at you, “no church, you want an outdoors wedding, yeah, yeah,”
“I’ve had this day planned for years,” you stated, looking back down at the screen that was still a mess of a invite list. There were teammates, friends, coaches, family, family-friends, and it felt like the list went on and on. You were now wishing you had tackled this even a few days earlier.
“I know,” you’re mother sighed again. Glancing up, you caught the sad look on her face. “Well actually I didn’t, but I figured. What girl doesn’t, right?”
You were biting down on your lip to refrain from saying anything more. It could very quickly turn into an argument, that you weren’t ready to fall into right now. Instead you needed to focus on making sure Connor McDavid and Dylan Storme got an invitation, after Andre’s time on the Erie Otters with the two you knew he’d like them to come. Same with that coach too. Another coach, another address and email to gather.
“I have to feed Kino real quick, can you just write this address down on the list?” You asked your mother. She nodded while you rose from your seat.
It was a good system you had going so far. You figured out who got the cut on the list of guests, then you contacted them to get their address and email. That way the printers who were in charge of making your invitations knew where to sent both the physical and digital copy. But as the time passed, you knew little Kino would be needing something to eat and maybe even a treat for being so good while you worked.
“There you go, baby,” you cooed to the pup as he pushed past you leg and started eating the food. You got up, after petting him, and reached for the drawer in the kitchen that contained Kino’s things. Inside you found his favourite treats, causing him to leave behind his food dish and jump up. “Down,” you ordered.
Kino took a moment, getting a little shove from you and another order barked at him before he got down. “Sit,” you ordered. It was still new, training him and all, but you tried your hardest. Finally after a few tries you simply just got tired and gave Kino the treat.
As you walked back to the dining room table, you peered at your laptop screen - that your mother was intently looking at - and saw she was no longer on the tab you left her on. Instead she was on your Pintrest board, and not the wedding one either, the baby one. You swallowed and rested your hand on the back of the chair you had been sitting in. Realizing you were back, your mother looked away from the screen and back up to look you in the eyes.
“You’re having a baby?” She questioned. You couldn’t even read her facial expressions right now.
“Not now, no,” you answered, “but one day, yes, I’d love to,”
Despite the tough upbringing and now currently relationship with your parents, you’ve always wanted to be a mom. Since before you could even remember you’ve had baby fever. But in no way were you rushing into parenthood. There was simply no shame in preparing yourself and also liking pictures on some website.
“You’re not ready to be a mother,” she said.
“What?” You scoffed.
“You’re not even married yet, you can’t be a mom, Y/N,”
“What are you-” you stopped yourself as you voice raised a bit. Inside you felt anger, upset over the fact your mother was overreacting so much. “I’m not trying to have a baby right now, mom, relax,”
“Don’t tell me to relax,” she said back in a hard tone.
“Well you freaking need to!” You threw you hands up into the air, “this is my wedding and my life, so just take a step back and quit judging me for a second, please,”
Your mother didn’t respond. Instead her lips formed a thin line and you could see her mind was racing. She wanted to keep fighting. It seemed that was all she wanted to do since you gave her that call back in Sweden. She was realizing it finally - that you were no longer in her, or your fathers, control.
“I,” you paused and closed your eyes while taking a deep breath, “I think I’m going to do the rest of these tomorrow, I need to start up dinner before Andre gets home,”
“I should leave, your fathers flight lands in an hour anyways,” she exclaimed while getting up from her seat. She gathered up her things and you followed her to the front door. As she put on her jacket, she turned back around and gave you a smile. “I’m sorry,” she said.
You nodded, “me too,”
“I want you to know that your father and I are happy for you, and we want to be involved in this day as much as you’ll let us,”
“I want that too,”
“It just scares us, Y/N,” she sighed, “you’re our only child, and you’re just doing all this and growing up, and it scares us,” she stated. You could tell this was a conversation that she was planning to have over coffee while we chatted during the wedding planning, not while I basically kicked her out. But still, hearing her say this made you feel a lot better.
“I know,” you nodded. “I’ll give you guys a call in a couple days, when I get a little less busy, plan something,”
“Maybe a dinner, with Andre too,” she suggested with a smile.
“Maybe,” you smiled.
“Bye,” she said before opening the front door and walking out. Kino seemed to get the memo she was leaving a little too late, seeing as he was busy in the back yard, and ended up just barking out the front window as she got into her car. You let him bark while you walked over to the couch and sat down. You mind was racing, and your eyelids got heavier while Kino settled down.
Then Kino was jumping up onto the couch and sitting next to you. You brought him closer, cuddling him while you got comfy on the couch and shut your eyes. Napping wasn’t the plan, but it seemed a lot better than sitting there and overthinking some more. Plus, you could use a nap.
You woke up to the door opening and Kino jumping over you to race to see who it was. You already knew, it was Andre, and stayed where you were huddled up on the couch. You listened as he greeted the excited pup, then his footsteps went across the hardwood floor and into the kitchen, then down the hall, finally you peered up to see him looking over the back of the couch.
“Afternoon nap?” He asked, smiling down at you.
You nodded, “Kino napped too,”
Andre chuckled and walked around the couch, then sitting down at the end of the couch, he lifted your feet and let them rest in his lap. He was looking down at his phone while gently rubbing your sock covered feet, Andre was just like that - always absentmindedly caring for you. It was one of the many reasons you loved him and were marrying him of course.
“What’s for dinner?” He asked, glancing away from his phone to where you laid.
“Shit,” you cursed under your breath and then let out a yawn. You closed your eyes and rested your arm over them. “I, uh, napped instead of getting dinner ready,” you admitted.
“That’s fine,” Andre said. You opened your eyes and saw him smiling at you. “Gives us an excuse to go out for dinner,”
You smiled back at him, “perfect,” you said.
Andre got up off the couch, his movement causing Kino to start running around the living room with excitement, and then he put out both his hands for you. You smiled and grabbed onto them both, letting him hoist you up off the couch. Once on your feet, you leaned lazily into Andre - pressing your face against his chest. Kino began to bark then, running around at your feet.
“Kino,” Andre bellowed, dropping his voice into a deep demand. You giggled as the puppy stopped barking and sat there.
“He’s excited you’re home,” you stated as Andre put his arms around you.
“We’ll put him in the backyard while we’re gone,” Andre said.
Andre did just that while you made your way upstairs to freshen yourself up, putting your hair into a cute ponytail and fixing your makeup. Then you threw on a leather jacket and waited while Andre got dressed into a grey long sleeve and jeans. He looked damn good, causing you to stare at him while he drove down the streets of Washington. Andre smirked, clearing catching you looking his way. You weren’t being settle by any means.
“Like what you see?” Andre teased.
You smiled and tilted your head to the side. “Yup,” you answered.
Andre laughed, turning the wheel with one hand while grabbing ahold of yours with his other. He lifted your head to his lips and kissed your knuckles. “Well, if it weren’t for our safety, I’d be staring right back at you, baby,” he said.
“Where are we going to eat?” You asked, looking out at the Washington night. The street lights were turning on as the sidewalks looked busy with people.
“Your favourite, of course,” Andre shrugged.
You chuckled, “you know, Andre, we can go to your favourite sometimes too,”
“Well, your favourites aren’t horrible,” he smiled.
“You’re too good to me,” you sighed as Andre parked the car outside of the small local Italian restaurant that you’ve loved for years now. You had found it one day during your junior high years, going on lunch dates with your best friends on the weekends was one of your favourites things to do back then.
“It’s obviously you that’s too good to me, baby,” Andre smiled. You chuckled under your breath and shook your head at him.
Leaning over the console of the car, you got closer to his face while the smile only grew on both your faces. You tilted your chin upwards and licked your lips while watching Andre - who was watching you, of course. His hand had found yours that rested on the console, his fingertips brushed over the top of your hand gently. He was sure to touch the diamond ring on your left hand.
“I can’t wait to marry you,” you said, “and spend the rest of my life with you, Andre Burakovsky,”
“Me too, Future Mrs Y/N Burakovsky,” Andre said with his smile only getting bigger.
An explosion of butterflies came over your entire body, somedays with this young man in front of you felt like it was all a dream. But as you leaned a few inches forward and brought your lips to his, you were proven that this was all reality. You really had found the man of your dreams, the one you were meant to spend forever with.

There's a million ways to live your life. Thinking about why people come in and out of my life is time wasted. Thinking about why people are born and die is time wasted. Thinking about why people hate is time wasted. I want to spend my life thinking about and living in the joy life brings me. Why are ppl so fake when they don't have to be is another note of wasted time. I have had 2 people in my lifetime.. the 2nd was today... basically tell me they were not my friend but "entertained" me. Lmfao who has time to waste like that. Given... this same person I was trying to stay kool about them despite how disrespectful they'd get during our 1 on 1 conversations cuz we had a mutual friend. But who got time for that?! Lol I spent the last year trying not to be petty as much as possible. The world has soooo many other emotions and ways for us to express ourselves but I feel like I should just be blantanly honest without regard for ppl's feelings cuz there are too many fakes and phonies out here. Maybe being too frank to handle will keep the phonies away from circle of friends and asociates. I already piss off folks cuz I give less fucks. What's a few more... So much undiscovered territory out here and I really find it hard to believe ppl have time to fake friendships. People annoy me too much to engage once the season has passed for our usefulness to each other. Things like that is beyond my comprehension. I don't get ppl who associate with those they can't stand. Like I just walk away from these ppl. Or they know I cant stand them. I don't entertain those I don't like. Smdh damn. Life and people are funny. I guess I'm suppose to feel hurt but I just feel sad that people actually do this. Like you don't have anything better to do than to "entertain" someone you don't like? I don't understand the benefit. Like what does someone get from that? I'm pretty sure that was suppose to be an insult but it makes the person who says and does something like look like a fool to me. All these other things to focus on in the world... there is this huge universe out here waiting for us to explore and you fake friendships? Wow. We gotta do better ppl. This is the world. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByMOGxlFE3h/?igshid=3ereihgm4fh6

tw shitty family stuff i guess
2 weeks ago i met up with my aunt and uncle for dinner - i haven’t seen them in like 5 years and they’ve never been My Biggest Fans because i was a gawky, awkward, obnoxious kid and teenager and most people preferred my brother because he was normal and charming - even my grandmother has since told me that I wasn’t very likable as a kid so, you know, being disliked by your own grandmother...great feelings abound
(which is an extra bummer bc i always really craved my aunt and uncle’s attention and respect which, you know, often makes you even more annoying when you have poor social skills, so, Vicious Cycle there, being young me was the worst)
plus my mom kind of Sucks and i hadn’t yet been influenced by enough other people to unlearn a lot of the gross behaviors i got from her, and my uncle is her younger brother so it does make sense that he’d align with my brother against me
the thing, though, is that my brother was also horribly cruel to me for most of our teen and pre-teen years and he had this strategy of harassing me and hurting me without other people seeing, so that i’d be absolutely raw and he could provoke an outburst from me in front of other people with a minor annoyance - so suddenly i am oversensitive and can’t just ignore him and ruining everyone’s day with the whining
and anyway, over dinner, my uncle was like “we got to see [brother] recently and man, i am so proud of him, he really is turning into quite a decent person, we love hearing from him”
but like...uh...one does not get congratulated for BECOMING a DECENT person if they weren’t one before...like what kind of low fucking bar has that kid set for himself that suddenly he gets accolades for being a less shitty human than the deeply shitty human he’s always been
and i was just like “sure, i guess he’s becoming more decent” speaking all pointedly and my uncle sort of pressed me on it, like oh come on you gotta admit he’s an alright dude, and I just squared up with him and said “you have to understand that he was not an easy person to grow up with” and he was just dismissive and changed the subject with that sort of implied eye-roll of ‘there she goes again, always so sensitive, can’t ever let things drop, gotta ruin everyone’s fun, ugh’
like excuse me??? i’m not obligated to jump for joy because someone who made me feel unsafe and unwelcome in my own damn home is, now, as a grown ass adult, slowly “becoming a decent person” - you insult me by bringing it up as if my role is to be all stoked about his existence in the world as a less hurtful asshole because you think he’s fun. miss me with that garbage.
and it just feels so awful to have an entire family that doesn’t have my back. that just refuses to engage with the reality i live in. last time i saw my grandma she got on me for not indulging my mother’s tantrums. again i looked her dead in the eye and said “you have no idea what it was like growing up with her as a mother” and just walked away. and then everyone sulked about it. because i’m always the bad guy for having needs and feelings and boundaries. it’s bullshit.
and i know the solution thanks to years of expensive therapy is to just take some distance from them, build my own family (LOL bc a peer network of silicon valley millennials can totally provide the security that a loving family can, imagine having to get everything you get from your mom and dad and siblings from whoever happens to live in your city and has enough time for you haha that’s not lonely and terrifying), stop caring whether they'll ever validate that i was wronged or acknowledge my pain...but it’s such a sad and precarious place to be, not having a family you can trust, having to keep these people at arm’s length. it’s fucking bullshit.
“becoming a decent person.” how can you say that sentence as if it’s a uniformly good thing. what kind of lack of self awareness does it take. how can you acknowledge that someone is ‘becoming a decent person’ without being aware that they were previously NOT a decent person? fuck right off.

Reasons to Read: Memoirs of the Mausoleum
written by someone who’s way to deep in the series and is doing this rather than all my assignments due by the end of the week
but like, it’s worth it lmao
gotta express my love for Motm somehow
 •   well first of all, it has gore and a whole lot of violence, so if that’s what you like then you got that Guaranteed
•   it’s a trilogy filled to the brim with amazing characters
•   like
•   lol
•   you don’t even know, man
•   these characters are fucking great
•   they’re all different but also an absolute joy to read about
•   and some of them…are…GAY
•   :0
•   i know. don’t cry. i know.
•   bisexual, asexual, demisexual, homosexual, pansexual, and get this
•   come closer
•   not that close
•   a transgender character
•   i know
•   breathe
•   and you want to know the best part?
•   this transgender character…is the most powerful character in the series
•   ASDFGHJKL
•   I KNOW
•   we also got some people of color—Dominican, Mexican, Chinese, and African American.
•   some of them are even bilingual
•   like, hi, yes, keep serving me some of dat Representation
•   the first book has one character who’s honestly one of my favs
•   i love her
•   she’s so funny. one of those characters that you’re grateful are there because they bring you some light and humor when the rest of the book tries to grab you by the ankle and drag you into the void
•   even the characters who don’t get much screentime (just for the first book—they get it later—they all do) are so inherently unique that you’ll either fall in love, or do so later when you get to learn more
•   everyone gets some time to shine, okay?
•   even like, the Cunt of the series gets time to shine
•   hello? that’s amazing
•   meaning if your fave doesn't talk much in the first book, never fucking fear, because they’ll get their moment
•   also if you read this series, even if just the first book, you’ll get to witness the greatness that is Two
•   who the fuck is Two, you ask? only one of the funniest and sassiest characters in the book.
•   every time he speaks, i’m crying
•   in a good way
•   speaking of CRYING
•   it is a rather sad ass story lmao
•   so prepare those tissues y'all
•   cos it gets bad
•   but it’s fine, you guys like sad stuff right? stuff that puts you on the Feels Express?
•   good
•   then read this book because it’ll do the job
•   choo-choo :(
•   it’s a story that’ll really stay with you for some time, whether you want it to or not
•   it takes a rather simple concept, like coming back from the dead, and really makes it into something complex and vastly interesting
•   the author builds this intricate world with some great ass powers and rules for Revenants
•   like the POWERS
•   i mean the concept of Pulses (da powers) is just so fucking cool
•   i ain’t gonna spoil it but like lol trust me
•   amazin y’all, why are you still reading this
•   oh
•   btw
•   lol
•   it happens in the second book, but it contains one of the best character development i’ve ever seen in my short life
•   LOL
•   it takes a character who could have EASILY been this stereotypical, dull thing, and just makes him into one of the greatest ones in the whole damn series
•   i’m sorry, Two who?
•   haha
•   just kidding, i love him
•   but seriously, the character development that you witness in the second book is something that i would truly recommend for everyone
•   like if i had to give someone one reason to read the series, it’s to witness that sort of development
•   but like you gotta buy the first book first, don’t get it confused.
•   cos then you’ll be confused
•   tbh you’ll be confused either way but it’s okay
•   and i’ll leave you with one last thing that might peek your interest a bit
•   it’s a damn fine series because it also makes you think
•   and by that i mean it has a dialogue with you, the reader, in an indirect kind of way that really makes you think about life
•   i mean, it is a book about people who come back from the dead, so it’s to be expected
•   but it really does give you moments where you feel slightly uncomfortable and unsettled, because you get to experience what the main character, a Revenant, goes through and you start thinking of how it would be like if you were ever in this position
•   honestly gets you to think about something from a different angle
•   and that’s welcomed
•   it’s one of those books that i would also recommend just for the type of engaging thought it makes you do
•   it’s the type of series that just works. the characters, the storyline, the universe—all complex and damn memorable
•   the creativity is inspiring and applause-worthy
•   why is this not a movie or a tv show omg
•   honestly shook
•   the series will more than likely do to you what it did to me
•   make me love it so much that it’ll stay as one of my favorite ones forever
•   it’s self-published, done by a hard working and amazing author, so show your support for the series by purchasing it!
•   very professionally done and you can tell how hard they worked on it
•   uuuuuh
•   you can buy it on amazon or createspace (gives the author a lil more money), or, if you MUST, barnes n nobles (don’t do it; it gives them diddleshit :0)
•   anyway
•   please buy it
•   :0
•   it’s so good
•   iirc you can read the first chapter on amazon
•   okay that’s enough out of me lmao
