I do not think it’s a good idea to keep Nia’s situation from the rest of the group. But the bitchy side of me is glad she doesn’t wanna tell anyone because I know the moment we do, it’ll become all about her again and MC’s issues will get pushed even further into the background 😑🤷🏽♀️
#choices bolas#choices blades#blades of light and shadow#choices stories you play#playchoices#‘she’s the baby of the group’ ‘you’re our heart’ ‘poor innocent Nia needs to be protected and saved again’#and the thing is that I do like Nia as a character#but 1) I hate when MCs aren’t treated like MCs#and their only purpose is to observe and facilitate the other characters’ stories and growth#and I feel like that’s ultimately what ended up happening in book 1 of this series and will most likely happen in this one as well#like yes obviously MC experienced growth as well but it’s always in the ‘going from a newbie to a competent individual’ sense#and that’s beyond old#plus it doesn’t work when they pick and choose when they want to acknowledge our competence in book 2#and 2) I also can’t stand this flawless/perfect character archetype they do#or rather the ‘only flawed in ways that make them look even more perfect’ characters#it’s so overdone and unrealistic imo#like Nia is so selfless she doesn’t consider her own needs?#she’s generally timid and lacks confidence?#she can be naive and a bit too trusting?#please those aren’t even really flaws#they just serve to make the character even more the paragon of virtue which again is just unrealistic#especially because the last two often end up being flipped and portrayed as the person always seeing the good in others#but idk maybe I’m missing the point or something#I know this is a common character archetype but it’s one of my least favorites#which sucks because as I said I do actually like Nia even though I might be coming across as a hater#i like some of the writing for how she fits into the group and I also like how her faith is unwavering#plus she is competent and has skills in her own right#but for whatever reason the writers thought giving her real flaws or at least acknowledging the shallow ones they did give her#beyond face value wasn’t a good idea?#idk maybe I’m wrong though and things will play out different than I expect

people who create dnd characters that are similar to them in personality are just playing themselves and should not be treated as having made a character
people who make any other dnd character should also be treated as just playing themselves since people refuse to even consider roleplay smps as fiction
any ocs someone puts a bit of themselves into? nope not fiction!
actors who play a character with the same first name as them aren’t really acting
and so on
maybe YOU can’t separate characters and real people and think that everything you see from a youtuber even when they’re explicitly acting is how they are in real life but we as a fandom just don’t have that issue lol. we’ve had disclaimers and indicators for when we’re talking about characters and not content creators for years because a certain smp contained a character having suicidal thoughts as a result of abuse at the hands of another character and we needed to make it absolutely crystal clear that we were referring to a fictional storyline and not real guy #1 being an abuser and real guy #2 being suicidal. these customs have either extended into other corners of mcyt fandom, or some developed their own independently like hispanic mcyt fans have used the word cubito to distinguish mc guy from real life guy from years, a term that other language speakers liked so much we’ve also started picking it up lol
we know exactly what we’re doing. i get that the line maybe does seem more blurred to an outsider looking in (i wouldn’t know given that both my first fandom at age 12 and current fandom at age 20 were mcrp lol) but it’s universally understood amongst us. i don’t have a problem separating hermitcraft!gem and empires s1!gem the wizard with a twin brother and empires s2!gem the princess and cc!gem the real life canadian woman.
idk it rubs me the wrong way that after years of trying to explain this we’re either met with people calling us racists because of three guys that the rest of us (all of us, really, because dream team fans do not claim to be minecraft fans. those are the type to actually write rpf and ship the real life racist guys) hate probably a lot more than any of you do, or they watch a few minutes of a less roleplay-heavy series/part and decide that the entire medium is invalid as a form of storytelling
it’s so annoying. i don’t think we need to be understood to have validity as a fandom we’ve been doing this for years already without that but it is so infuriating and sad how whenever there’s some kind of fandom poll thing one of three things happens
mcyt fans are banned outright and placed on the same level as something like hp
an mcyt fan runs their own and gets harassed for it
a non-mcyt fan allows us in until they get harassed so badly by whatever fandoms we go up against that they end up deleting our bracket
in what world is that normal behaviour. and that harassment always involves calling them all racist cishet white men such as misgendering both eret (real life bisexual genderqueer person) and their character (also queer), attempting to harass jimmy solidarity fans because jimmy makes mc videos so he must be a dream associate (the only time they interacted was in a tournament during which dream and georgenotfound shittalked jimmy’s best friends to his face), all the shit quackity has gotten for being a former friend of the dream team as if he wasn’t the #1 victim of their racism and xenophobia, the fact that any time c!technoblade is involved in a poll we have to beg other fandoms not to talk shit about him because the real life man died of cancer before dream’s grooming allegations came out, similarly when tfc was in one. and so on and so forth. all because people can’t separate roleplay and real life and think that the entire minecraft sphere revolves around dream just because their idea of mcyt does (not even his own smp named after him did that).

Oh my god thank you for speaking about this weird step 2 Qiu demonization!! Idk why so many people write them as this person who hates everyone and is mean for absolutely no reason and is only “soft” for like MC and Tamarack its so weird cause they aren’t like that at all! they are a kid just entering high school struggling with their sense of identity insecurities and expectations placed on them
yeah no problem!! it just gets infuriating that they treat qiu like this without keeping in mind that being popular and having people flock to you despite you trying to close yourself off can be and is annoying. you cant just expect qiu to still be nice about it when they clearly have no interest in trying to be everyones friend and is distancing themselves yet people cant seem to take a hint and think it's just a "cool person" act
what qiu is doing is perfectly normal? considering in step 1 qiu does everything they can to make sure everyone is included and that is a very tiring job for a little kid. of course theyre gonna start acting colder in order to drive people away and of course theyre gonna be annoyed when people are drawn to them eitherways despite their efforts
i think gb patch said that our life games arent supposed to be that deep despite the problems/conflicts the characters may go through. gb said that its supposed to be a game where the player can escape reality and live in a more quiet world so i highly doubt gb would make qiu a bully

it sucks how this book series refuses to allow feyre any sort of agency or consequences anymore. it really ruins the nuance to her.
feyre as a character in book 1 was something kind of special. in book 1, feyre overcame an intense prejudice against the fae — however justified her fears might’ve been considering the rumors that were spreading of faeries killing humans by crossing the wall.
and she didn’t just overcome it — feyre risked her life to save one of prythian’s high lords. she went through pain and torture and turmoil all for a faerie, because of love and loyalty and hope that they could have a future together. that’s actually really beautiful, and i genuinely despise how that’s destroyed in the later books.
feyre doesn’t get to have any agency from book 2 and on. she doesn’t get to have an emotional maturity higher than that of a teenager (which, in fairness, is kinda fair since she’s like 22 in the latest book), blaming other people for her own choices and decisions. feyre doesn’t get responsibility for her actions or a complex look at her suffering and pain.
feyre gave everything to save tamlin — and his court. she gave everything up for the male she loved, and that’s completely destroyed in acomaf by that book having the audacity to treat it as though feyre’s suffering utm was even a little bit due to tamlin.
the suffering has to be pinned on someone — and that someone can’t be feyre, despite her being the one to go down there. someone has to take the blame so feyre can keep playing the victim in a situation where only the victims survived and making jokes out of other people who faced hell all the same. there can’t be any complexity in her wondering if all her actions were even worth it. she can just blame the victims of the situation and move on with her life.
feyre’s the savior of Prythian, and she became that of her own accord. tamlin returned her to her old life, and she went back. she went back despite everything. she suffered torment, fucking death, and anything and everything in between. in the beginning, she hates Fae so much that she feels no remorse for killing a faerie, even if she wasn’t fully in the know of his status as a species. in the end, she’s willing to give up everything for one. that’s beautiful. it’s actually pretty profound and a very noble thing on feyre’s part that’s a real testament to her original character.
however annoying or irritating she was in the books, feyre was a much more balanced character in the first book, in my personal opinion. she had flaws, yes, but she also had skills and intelligence (on occasion) and a noble character to her that made her more likable.
it’s completely ruined by how the books just won’t let her be a person in favor of making her out to be saintly, even though that just makes her annoying asf. feyre destroyed the spring court to get back at tamlin? oh, let’s just pretend that all the lives she ruined aren’t important just ‘cause her feelings were hurt. feyre locked her fucking sister in the house of wind because she didn’t like how she coped? it doesn’t matter, because nesta got “better” anyway! feyre went willingly utm to be the characters’ savior, and makes herself out to be the victim a book later because “tamlin didn’t do anything”?? even though he’s the one that brought her back home where she’d hopefully be safer anyway?? really??
it’s just like… the fact that feyre’s character needed to be bent and twisted into something unrecognizable so it could seem remotely realistic that she’d ever get with rhysand is something so depressing ‘cause her character is ruined and reduced to a love interest to mr iM sO pOweRfuL aNd dEpResSeD LoOk aT mE. like, i’m sitting here wondering how sjm can call herself a feminist when this is how she ruins her mcs.
feyre’s just like- “hero gets saved from suffering by victims then goes back to save them anyway; blames them for not helping her AGAIN when their hands were all but physically tied behind their backs”. like, this is not okay. it’s such a lazy way to portray a character, and it’s really such an injustice to the actually decent personality and arc feyre had in the first book.

Crimes of passion 3 theory’s and what I want to see in book3
1. I would like to see mc a little more emotional especially since this is probably about her dad’s murder. I know mc is usually logical and super in control of her emotions but considering how she still has nightmares and still thinks about it. I have a feeling it’s going to hit her hard.
2. Fires. We’re back in New York so, there’s most definitely going to be some type of fire.
3. Trystan and mc being an out couple, doing cute couple shit. And when I say that I mean like spontaneous dates, cute lil domestic moments
4. Uncle Tommy knows more than what he’s telling mc. I’m not saying he has anything to do with the murder but he’s holding something back there’s just no way you don’t know more
5. Childhood memories, okay so the way I’m wording this may come off odd but like clearly mc remembers the incident very clearly but I think that because of her trauma it’s obvious that there’s more that she probably did see the day her dad died, but she doesn’t remember because she probably blocked it out.
6. Family secrets. But I do NOT WANT her dad to be alive. I seriously doubt he faked his death and I don’t want that to be the situation. I want to know more about mc’s family and where the hell is her mom!
7. New characters that aren’t the killer. I don’t know maybe an ex boyfriend of mc or something. I don’t know I’m not a writer
8. Cute outfits. No more of mags. I want the pants suits! I want the blazers! Think laws of attraction mc but with more pants and cute blazers. We will not be wearing an evening gown to an interrogation
9. Captain Thompson knows something. I mean the way she treats mc is odd to me. Like yeah she left the force but like why do you hate her so much.

Bryce
I parked the car in the garage and shut off the engine. I got out and felt the night air surrounding me.
It’s so much quieter now that the engine is off. Only the sound of the ocean and cicadas can be heard.
When I walked out I could hear Luna in the kitchen singing along to a song on the radio. It’s from the eighties I think.
When she heard me come in, her whole face transformed into a beautiful smile. Her blue-green eyes lit up like the stars. I hate that those starlit eyes will go out.
”Hey handsome I’ve missed you,“ Luna walked towards me and leaned against my chest smiling at me.
I smiled but it didn’t reach my eyes.
Her smile dimmed and she looked at me. She scrunched up her eyebrows in confusion.
But I just needed a minute to settle down. I opened the cabinet where we kept the strong stuff.
I opened a bottle of scotch. A gift from Ethan and Hayley. Who knew this is exactly what I need right now? And pour myself a drink.
I knocked it back like it was water and poured another round.
”B what’s wrong? You’re scaring me a little,“ she pulled her pink sweater closer around herself.
”I went to see my dad,“ I took a sip of my second glass of scotch.
There’s pain and confusion in her eyes. I hate seeing it there. She straightened her shoulders and looked me square in the eyes.
”What? Why didn’t you tell me? I could’ve gone with you!“ She said, coming closer. She put the glass out of my hands and placed it on the kitchen table.
”This is something I needed to do on my own. I just didn’t want anyone to come with me, since I didn’t even know if I’d have the guts to go inside,“ I admitted.
”B no one and I repeat no one would have judged you,“ her voice getting soft.
I sighed in frustration.
”Don’t you get it? I wanted to go alone…I…“ I ran out of words and shoved my hands through my hair.
I’d rather throw my glass against the wall, to see it shatter, like my heart is shattering right now. I sighed and leaned against the kitchen counter.
Luna sat down in one of the kitchen chairs. Her hands were placed over her stomach.
And I felt like even more of an asshole. I didn’t want to add any kind of stress to her. But damn it if my emotions aren’t a raging tornado inside my chest.
”I didn’t mean to keep it a secret. I needed answers. Peace. Solace. Closure. I needed something,“ I said and I could tell Lunes was mad and disappointed in me. Her eyes display everything.
”I’m just sad you didn’t tell me, Bryce. I’d be the last person to judge you. I love you. We’re getting married. We’re having twins for god's sake. I feel like you excluded me and that hurts,“ she breathed hard and I could see her pulse kick up.
The vein at her neck throbbed. Meilani is already worried about Lunes' pregnancy and wants her to be more careful and avoid any stressful situations.
I let out a breath I was holding in and sat next to her.
”I didn’t mean to hurt you. But I know how much you’d want my parents at our wedding and in our children’s lives. I tried getting some closure for myself. I wanted to get a feel for what they’re like now! I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea about them. Like some fairy tale,“ I said it and instantly regretted it.
She snorted.
”Look if you don’t want them in our lives, okay fine. But don’t treat me like an idiot. I might be blonde but I’m not stupid. I can form my own opinion. Thank you very much. You’ve kept it pretty close to what your parents have done, and that’s your right. But sometimes it feels like I don’t know you or at least not everything. Sometimes it feels like I’m on the outside looking in,“ her voice getting smaller by the second.
I wish she’d scream at me or throw things. This quietness is almost unbearable. It’s killing me. It’s different. Seeing her this quiet isn’t something I’m used to seeing.
I want to reach out my hand and touch her, but I let my hand fall to the side. I don’t think she’d welcome my touch right now.
I breathe out just to have something to do.
This is our first real fight. And so close to the wedding too.
God, what a mess I created. I reached for the glass with the drink.
And take a sip. Feeling the alcohol burn down my throat. Exactly what I needed.
”Lunes…“ I started.
She stopped me.
”Don‘t. I get that this is very personal and it’s painful to talk about. But you could’ve told me. I would’ve respected it if you said you’d want to go alone. But not saying anything? And then just drop that bomb on me? Not fucking cool Bryce!“
I sigh and put my head in my hands. She’s saying my full name instead of B. Which tells me she’s pissed and she has every right to be.
It will take some time for Luna to forgive me and get over the fact that I lied.
”I don’t even know why we’re fighting about this,“ I said and she didn't say anything to that.
”We’re fighting because we don’t keep secrets from each other Bryce. Yes, our relationship isn’t perfect. But you’re usually not a liar Bryce.“
I flinched as if she slapped me and didn't respond to her. We’re both raw from the words we exchanged. Feeling every single quiet and soft whisper, and it’s like a blow to my body.
She sighs.
”I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that. I’m mad and sad…pregnancy hormones suck.“
We both smile at each other, but then we get serious again. We both look away. The distance between us grew by the second.
Luna fumbled with her hair and I stared off into space not sure what to say.
A lump formed in my throat again, making it difficult to swallow past it.
”I get it. It was an asshole move. But I didn’t know what to do,“ I say, my voice almost breaking at that.
Luna's face crumbled at the pain in my voice.
”Oh B,“ she murmured and I leaned on her shoulder and cried again.
She held me tight until I leaned my forehead onto her shoulder.
”Your sweater is all wet,“ my voice gruff as I wiped away some tears.
She waved me off.
”I don’t give a rat's ass about my sweater. What I do care about is you,“ she cupped my face into her hands and gave me a gentle kiss. One full of emotions. What she couldn’t say with words, she conveyed with her kiss.
When we broke apart I could see that some traces of pain were left in her beautiful blue-green eyes.
Reminding me that I was the one who put that pain there. I hung my head in shame.
”I didn’t mean to blindside you like that Lu,“ I whisper.
She sighed against me.
”I know. It hurt me and I guess…I’ll need some time to get over it. I can understand why you did it, but I’m hurt you didn’t tell me,“ she said.
I looked up at her.
”What now?“ I asked her. Completely baffled. I have no idea what to say to that.
She shrugged, distancing herself from me. Not just physically but emotionally as well, which hurt more than if she flung any objects or words at me.
I’ve never felt more apart from her than now. As if I tried to grasp her hand and it slipped out of reach.
Luna rubbed her head.
”I don’t know B. Maybe we should just go to sleep?“ She asked hesitantly as if not sure where we stood.
I nodded. Nothing is resolved. But I couldn’t be alone. Not tonight.
As much as I craved space from everyone and anyone, I’m still selfish because I wanted her next to me.
To feel her soft skin beneath my palms. To caress her body.
We walked upstairs. The whole room was tense. We silently got into our sleep attire.
Lunes put one of my Stanford t-shirts on, the ones she used as a sleep shirt, as I got in some sleep shorts resting low on my hips.
Sliding the comforter aside we got into bed. The ceiling fan was on full blast.
Even though we’re still unsure of the whole situation. One thing is for sure. Our love is still strong and it won’t die.
Later in the night, I woke up to find Luna snuggled into my side. Clutching my hand close to her cheek.
I smiled down at her. Trying to extract my hand to envelop her in my arms. She stirred slightly and saw how she was clutching my hand close to her.
”Sorry I…“ she tried to scoot away.
But I don‘t let her.
”Lunes. No matter what happens my love for you is never in doubt,“ I pulled her closer.
I felt her nod more than I could see it.
We held hands and fell asleep. We still have ways to go, but I know we’ll be alright.

But all of this can’t be healthy for your body, right? What if you end up hurting yourself or miss a jump? On the other hand, he doesn’t want to think about what would happen about it - human life is too fragile for its own good.
For his mental health sake, Asmo is going to have confidence in you and say you know exactly what you are doing. Yeah...that should put his dark thoughts at bay for a while.
Impressed by your confidence and abilities but is upset you didn’t show him your skills earlier. Did you not want him to worry about you?
Whenever you do parkour, Beel gives you his undivided attention - not only because he enjoys watching you, but in case you miss a step, he wants to be ready to turn into his demon form and catch you before you get hurt.
Competes with Levi to take your “No 1 Fanboy” title. Not that Levi will give up that title easily.
Not many things make him feel wide awake, but seeing you jump from ledge to ledge forces him to wake up instantly. Not because you look cool - which you do - but because Belphie’s heart nearly stops.
He knows humans aren’t the smartest, but performing reckless stunts is not okay, not for you and not for his heart. Belphie doesn’t know whether he should applaud your courage or facepalm at your recklessness.
But he has to admit he can’t take his eyes off you when you start showcasing your abilities. It’s impressive, to say the least.

Slightly incoherent The Witcher S02 rant
(Finished and posted two years later with no Starbucks involved...)
They’re trying so hard to be The Next Game of Thrones, they’re erasing everything that makes The Witcher special. Things are changed unnecessarily, *new* *original* storylines added- much simpler and inferior to source material.
There’s a lack of ~variety~ of dangers. Different kinds, different degrees... It’s all life-threatening, fatal. The writers forgot some things can be dangerous only thanks to specific circumstances. Leshy in the woods can be just that- monster living in witchers’ keep’s backyard, not some weird parasite trying to murder or transform all the witchers.
Another trend I've noticed is "No rest for the heroes.". Characters aren't allowed to have a place and/or time to develop without preasure. The most peaceful part of Ciri's story got turned into parade of incompetent, inconsiderate idiots. It’s the same issue I had with first season of Shadow and Bone, where MC's studies and integration into new enviroment got struck out. Both were lacking "action". Both got cut short and re-written to be more "eventful". In both cases the story AND characters suffered. Characters aren’t developed, they become changed. Netflix seems to have a pattern, and- considering second season of S&B- doesn’t learn from its previous terrible results.
Another huge issue is pacing. The whole season feels like it happened in a week, when Blood of Elves took more than a season of the year.
“I know someone...” As it turned out, we all do.
When we’re at things I hate, there’s the trend of connecting EVERYTHING. You have a minor part to fill? Give it to one of already existing characters to make their path more eventful and memorable. What happened to random soldier, corpse no. 54 or anonymous inkeeper in shithole MC’s just passing through? You don't constantly cross ways with the same three people! Make the world real by houndreds of faces you'll never see again! It’s like the creators didn’t notice this is a TV show, not a video game, where you have to animate every different feature, so more NPC with the same faces are to be expected.
I also dislike the trend of giving some storylines to one-off side characters or making new things up just to make them important enough to keep them around (Istredd, Dara, Stregobor). Why can't you accept some people appear, fuck up your life and you never see them again? Are they pushed to keep some actors around?
The books are mostly following Geralt’s and Ciri’s story, but not exclusively. Show offers a chance to add more background politics, wider picture. Instead they bait us with well-known, already beloved characters that get reduced to something they’re not. Voleth Mier disaster
There isn’t more genric evil creature in fantasy than “demon”. Then they call it “Mother of Evil”? She’s feeding on fear? I’m starting to suspect someone in the writing room has some serious mommy issues. ... and no imagination.
Apparently Blood of Elves without a final boss fight is too boring to adapt faithfully. There’s no time to increase the stakes gradually. Every season needs to end with a BANG!
Shared dreams? Why is there the need to connect everything even more to make it MORE important and SPECIAL and INTERESTING?
Vesemir and the rest of Kaer Morons
Why the fuck is Coën Wolf, not Griffin? Remember how I talked about unnecessary changes? Why bother keeping names, when everything else is different?
Eskel didn’t deserve this shit. The writers are counting on our pre-existing knowledge of his relationship with Geralt, so his death has at least some impact. Zero effort on their part, merely one (1) flashback. The Wolf funeral is plain stupid, while supposed to look "cool". a.) There isn't many witchers, they tend to die on the Path. b.) I'm sure the mutations just make the witchers tastier. No side effects. c.) Eskel was a fucking tree. Did the wolves just use him as a fancy chewing toy?
Lambs is a dick, but a dick, who loves his family. Not a bully picking on young traumatized girls.
Vesemir’s probably the second worst, considering the whole mischaracterization mess. They’ve changed friendly grandpa into "Let us use Ciri to make more witchers". Not OOC at all.
The writers also kinda missed the whole point of only four witchers living in the gigantic keep, but never mind that...
Why do they bother looking for new stories, when they just grind it into homogenic crap corresponding with The Pattern™?
Since when are witchers training in temples? (So much for neutrality...) And where's the chubby Slavic panímáma? Melitele's tample was about healing and herbs, not magic, that's Yennefer's storyline. Yes, it matters. It completely changes the perspective.
Since there’s no emotional build-up for anything, creators went for low-haging fruit. But Roach had to die for more reasons. Aside from the obvious (Horses aren’t immortal and we can’t kill the bard.), it’s the perfect way to get Geralt on gorgeous black Friesian. Y'no, because other horses are never so cool. And the Hero™ can't ride just some chestnut these days... Don't get me wrong, I love Friesians since I was a child, but this trend is beyond annoying.
Why change 14th of the hill? That’s Triss’ storyline and passing it on Yennefer served absolutely nothing.
Then we have Rience, who is for some reason super powerful- not only he doesn't have a problem drawing from fire, he can teleport to witcher's keep? Place full of magic, the very same one that's hard to find and he's never been to? Compare with game!plot, where Lambert’s dimetrium bombs messed with Yennefer’s magic enough for her not to be able to call someone.
There should be a list of banned words, or words and phrases that are often overused: power, protect, save, curse(d), fault, ~ needs you. ~I~ need you., Together. *meaningful pause*, You can fight this., glowy eyes = evil, suicidal self-sacrifice, not perfect but real, family, I beliiiiieve in you., force, darkness...
Sorry, but using a quote from one of the strongest moments of Blood of Elves in completely different situation will NOT give you extra points. Quite contrary. This is how you ruin one of he best parts of the books- by holding a sword to your SO's (who's been through some serious shit) neck.
Honorable mention of Emhyr var AnotherDumbVillain, for publicly proclaiming Ciri’s his daughter ...now the whole Nilfgaard knows what he wants. Stupid and the easiest way to let his enemies’ spies know just HOW much is she valuable.

Heeeyyy love the story. Obsessed with Irme.. can't say that enough but I just read the previous ask about how the siblings reacted to Mc being sent away. And Orlas kinda drew my attention. You mentioned they wouldn't have cared if MC wanted to go or not or even if they were treated well.
It brought up a point I've kinda been struggling with so I apologize if my thoughts are rambling and silly. But Orla sounds like a bitch! Like a for real cold bully.
1. If that's what they were behind all the fake I'm the best princess in the land bs.. did the family know they were basically bullying MC and did they just allow it?
2. Her bf hated MC for no fucking reason right. And the pair of them seemingly from what I gathered in the demo made MCs life hell. Wouldn't we then essentially be romancing our previous tormenter? Not quite enemies to lovers but literal bully to lover route? And if that's the case isn't that gonna have some sort of effect on MC and his dead sisters ex? How do you go about trying to be in a relationship with someone you previously helped torment? Like I knew the whole trying to date ur dead siblings leftovers was Like a can of worms as you have stated before in regards to that relationship and if you choose to Romance them but doesn't that add another layer of emotions? How could you look at your partner lovingly knowing all the shit you helped put them through before?

I really love how much thought you have for this, it makes me feel flattered. So let me answer this….
1. The thing is the perfect princess act wasn’t entirely an act. orla did believe she was meant to be perfect and her whole life was devoted to achieving that which drove her insane because you can’t achieve perfection. And she saw her bullying of mc as right, as deserved, it wasn’t an imperfection in her eyes. The parents knew but like I said orla was adored, prudence never punished her and Victor wasn’t all that present as a parent. sally of course knew and he’s the reason orla never escalated because he stood firm between them. percy and yeah he did acknowledge she was cruel but he didn’t do anything to stop it.
2. It wasn’t for no reason. lorcan didn’t hate mc because orla did. lorcan actually didn’t mind mc he didn’t think badly of them, even when orla began really hating them he personally didn’t understand and didn’t partake in it. its when mc did something that personally affected him badly that he began hating them. it never got to orla’s level of torment. he did taunt them, try to provoke them, and had moments where he wanted to strangle them but a lot of the times it was a shimmering anger that was constantly present and thus made mc into an obsession.
The reason I don’t label it a bully romance is because mc took it from orla but they didn’t take it from lorcan they aren’t scared of him and even if you play mc as nice they aren’t a pushover and gave lorcan equal verbal lashings in the past. orla because she is older and no one views her as being able to do wrong and has a position of power over mc (in the crown household there is a hierarchy and it’s not a surprise that mc is at the bottom) lorcan does not, he and mc are on equal footing. actually given that lorcan is from a poorer disgraced family he has a slightly less power.
All the ROs have a degree of unhealthiness to them, even nia who’s supposedly mc’s best friend. Some are more intense than others and it has all to do with the nature of these characters, none of them are healthy people.
And don’t apologize orla is a bitch and I admire the that make story makes you think about this 💜

I’m not really sure if this is considered a prompt but! I was thinking about the New Years event from a few years ago and at the beginning of it, I believe Lucifer had said that they don’t celebrate New Years because time moves differently for demons. So would all the holiday celebrations the characters do be so people like MC and Solomon feel more comfortable in the Devildom or would it be something Diavolo implemented for better unity between the three realms? And who do you think enjoys celebrating human holidays the most/least? You don’t have to include all the characters of course, I was just wondering what your take on this would be!
I’ll take anything to talk about! Just mostly wanting to get used to how I write things out even if they aren’t specifically in a narrative format, so this works just fine! Thank you for the suggestion!
I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned somewhere in canon that, yes, they don’t celebrate human holidays. It would make sense if it was mostly for the human exchange student’s benefit, and I bet it would enrich the program as some sort of “cultural exchange”. I think it was mentioned that celebrating birthdays was fairly common (although who knows if it is regular practice to do every year or perhaps every decade or even every century since they live so long). Even with Halloween, it’s not so much talked about as a holiday on it’s own, but a celebration for Diavolo. Which brings up an interesting concept, that would they celebrate anything around “human Halloween” time were it not for the prince’s birthday? Is Diavolo so old that he’s been around ever since humans came up with the concept of Halloween? I’m sure there’s more flavor text around somewhere, probably in some Halloween cards or maybe even Diavolo’s birthday card, but I don’t feel like digging around for them.
As for general enjoyment, I have a pretty good idea of who would enjoy them most! From most to least:
1. Diavolo. The prince always has such a genuine curiosity and wonder for humans, it seems, in general, and I personally don’t believe it’s fake or just a diplomatic act. He always seems to want to learn, to experience things on his own, to go through what ‘normal’ people do. So I’m sure he makes the most of the human holidays.
2. Beel. Not only do most human holidays encourage being gluttonous, but I’m sure Beel feels some sort of stronger connection to his sister through humans, and so he definitely enjoys the celebrations they come up with. Plus he gets an excuse to eat a bunch, so it’s a huge win/win.
3. Mammon. I feel like right after gluttony, greed is something human holidays also encourage a lot of whether it be gifts or attention or what-have-you. Point being that usually when the big celebrations come around, we expect something in some way shape or form. So Mammon of course would love human celebrations. He would probably say he couldn’t care less about the holidays themselves but he does care quite a bit, especially after MC has come around.
4. Satan. Much like Diavolo, I’m sure he would want to take the time to learn about human culture. Knowing him, he probably has read up on it and knows more about the history than even the MC does, but nothing beats experiencing it for yourself.
5. Asmo. He was kind of hard to place, but I think he would rate fairly high. Although I have the feeling that he would mostly treat human holidays as some sort of new trend before he would truly understand it. But he adores being social, and I can see him using human holidays as an excuse to decorate the House.
6. Levi. Now, I know Levi isn’t a social butterfly, and most human holidays expect some sort of social gathering since we are community creatures, but I do think that his otaku-ness would mostly outweigh the social anxiety. He would probably want to try out things he’d seen in anime before. Plus there’s always holiday anime specials and game events.
7. Lucifer. I don’t think it’s that he hates human holidays...well, he didn’t really have the greatest outlook on humans when the MC first came down, did he? I think he just takes things too seriously (obviously) and instead of taking the time to appreciate human holidays, he’s more worried about whatever Diavolo or his brothers are going to come up with and whatever he’s going to get dragged into, but I’m sure his pride keeps him from admitting that he does enjoy hanging out with family, and trying something different for a change.
8. Barbatos. Mostly the same as Lucifer. Holiday time usually means a huge workload (poor Barbatos.) However, I do think he would enjoy seeing the Prince happy and I’m sure he finds joy in making special treats for the occasion. I just don’t see Barbatos as a character to go out of his way to celebrate something unless someone else does.
9. Belphie. Now, I know placing him at the bottom is a pretty basic stance to take, but I can’t help it. I think he probably would’ve been up right near Beel, especially since humans like to use the holidays as an opportunity to take a break when they can, but with everything that happened, he has some bitterness I’m sure. With the MC I’m sure there’s certain exceptions but I get the feeling that he’s not one for big celebrations anyway. If someone else does the prep (like Lucifer) sure he’ll show up, but I doubt he would go too far out of his way to be excited for a holiday.
What I really wish we could see more of with the game is more Demon culture. I want to know more about demon holidays, I wish the writers could get really creative and come up with something on their own that they would do instead of taking a human holiday concept and twisting it a bit. I do know they talk about some events that happen in game, but I want more.

Honestly very disappointed with the way you handled the question asking about revenge against One. Let’s be real, you made them unlikeable and if people want to treat your flawed character the same way they treat the mc, it’s not a personal attack against you. Making your characters untouchable though and getting feisty with a reasonable question is one of the reasons why I’m not choosing to play, despite the interesting premise. And yes, i agree with anon that it is hypocritical. You write well but yikes, some authors need to get off their high horse and admit their characters aren’t as well developed as they think. And the people who support your illogical deflections contribute to this as well. Basic kindness and acknowledgement isn’t too much to ask for, goodbye.

You are free to hate One, detest them, etc. However, I think it's immature to 1) go out of your way to message an author to ask whether you can harm said character or to inform the author you hate said character, 2) to get pissy that the author wasn't nice or 'professional' when confronted with the message.
Would you write devs of Detroit: Become Human to ask them if you'll have a chance to physically assault captain Hank, since he's a dick in a choice-based game? I doubt it, because it would be inappropriate and concerning.
I've been more than patient when it comes to anon messages. I ignore most of them, and try to keep benefit of the doubt for them / remain civil.
Whatever gives you the impression that you can judge whether my characters are 'well developed' when there's only a glimpse of them for the public to see?

Asmo isn’t sure if he should be mad or impressed or possibly turned out. Maybe all three just to be safe.
You had tagged along with Asmo to shop and some rich lookin snob of a demon was flirting Asmo up, offering him this modeling job or some crap. Normally you’d let it slide. He’s a popular guy but the more this jerk spoke the more your blood boiled and well here you are.
You punched the guy in the gut and he’s curled up on the ground.
“Hand must’ve slipped. My fault.” You sigh and help him up. But keep a grip on his arm for a moment. “Be grateful you piece of shit. If I hear you make one more comment about him being a walking fuck toy I’ll rip your tongue out. Ya hear me?”
“Yes sir!” He nods and you let him go. He quickly gives Asmo his number and runs away.
“Honestly MC. This is nothing new to me. I am the avatar of lust.” Asmo sighs dramatically.
“You are more than some title, Asmo!” You hiss. “You maybe the personification of the sin but there’s more to you than just that!”
You pick up a bag you had dropped and wrap your free arm around him, give him a kiss on the forehead.
“Devildom can freeze over before I let people treat you like some toy.” You mumble to him.

Beel is a big guy. No duh. But unless given a reason he doesn’t really say or do much. Well unless he’s hungry. Duh.
Which makes you jump to defend him much more. Like right now.
Even in the Devildom there’s always those group of girls that gotta have a comment on everybody.
“Careful there, hot stuff. I’d hate for all that food to effect your looks!” One demon girl laughs.
“I work out. So I’m not worried.” Beel states.
“But how can you keep a routine with all this food you eat????”
“Well I-”
“Not to mention all the sweets!”
“I-”
“All this junk food is going to catch up to you, you know.”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP”
You appear behind Beel in a flash when these group of girls crowd around him in the cafeteria. They flinch and step back, recognizing very quickly who you are by the wrathful green glow of your eyes.
“Mind your damn business before I send you back to the plastic surgeon where your faces came from!” You growl, cracking your knuckles to make a point. They freak out and run away without a fight thankfully. You watch them go before checking on Beel.
“You okay?” You ask, sitting beside him. “If they hurt your feelings-!”
“I’m fine, MC.” He smiled. “Don’t go getting into a fight because of me.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time.” You grin.

Unlike the other six. Belphie will actually come to you when someone makes a mean comment about him. Then greatly enjoy the show when you track them down.
“Aren’t you going to stop them?!” Luke gawks as he and Belphie watch you fight a demon in the RAD hallways.
“Mmm in a second.” Belphie yawns but the younger Angel saw the amusement in his eyes. When the avatar of sloth sees blood is when he wakes up more and pulls you off the other student. Who’s blood? Not sure. The other student just laid there, not passed out or anything more shocked that he got his ass kicked by a human it seemed.
“Okay MC, that’s enough.” Belphie hums. You stop growling and calm down, spitting blood out of your mouth and fix your uniform when he lets you go.
“You’re the one who told me about it.” You huff.
“Yeah but I’d never hear the end of it if you got seriously hurt because I like watching you get angry.” Belphie shrugs then realized what he just said.
“You what?” You ask with a smirk. “I’ll have to keep that in mind.”

This is a pretty interesting ask that I got maybe 1 million years ago, so anon if you're still around I'm sorry it took so long
Brothers React to a Possessive MC
TW: Angst, reader is possessive, reader can be toxic, brothers can be toxic or mean but still love MC, I write the brothers kind of unromanticized?
Lucifer
Lucifer is NOT amused by you being very jealous or possessive. He doesn't appreciate emotional outbursts or any kind of immaturity and he lets you know.
It's because he is very used to it. Not just Solomon but plenty of sorcerers want a pact with Lucifer, plenty of demons want an in with him and to get on his good side, given the chance all kinds of spirits and creatures would take advantage of him.
He doesn't like being controlled, mostly because he feels he has nothing to prove to anyone or anything to change about himself, you will deal with him as he is regardless of what you say.
Not to mention he has lived a long life unwillingly being controlled, in the debt of or owned by others. It's not hard to imagine he'd be tired of it.
His life involves a lot of people, people who would love to be with Lucifer themselves and he doesn't have the energy to constantly entertain and explain himself to his jealous lover, and he will tell you that.
He sees you as intelligent enough to know how ridiculous you being jealous is, surely you aren’t being serious?
If you ever have an explosive mood-swing involving jealous feelings, he might very well laugh at you.
However, if you catch him in a particularly soft mood he will oblige you, at least for one night.
"For tonight, my love, I'll be yours. However you want me, you can have it all. I hope you can handle me well, Master."
Mammon
At first, Mammon was really shocked by your jealousy. He was already grappling with his own feelings of jealousy and possessiveness towards you, now you're jealous over him?
He softens up immediately, he apologizes to you and tries to let you know there's no reason you should be jealous.
"Don't get the wrong idea, seriously! I wouldn't ever... I mean, like, you're the, like... it's- not like I would ever do anything with..." He says, stumbling over himself trying to explain.
Mammon is partially pleased knowing you get jealous, but mostly upset that you feel upset or insecure because of him.
He becomes really conscientious of what he's doing from then on, aware of who he's around at parties, whether or not he's making you feel left out, how much time he's spending with you compared to others.
He melts like butter for you and he absolutely hates seeing your sad face
He really doesn't want to make you upset but not only that he wants to prove his loyalty to you.
For a while tensions were high around other people because Mammon couldn't admit to being in love, so he'd deny you and would treat you differently around others
This obviously made jealous feelings worse and a few fights broke out
But as of late he gave up on trying to hide it, it's not like everyone didn't already know
PDA with you becomes a habit, hugging you all the time, standing so close you touch, when he speaks he looks only at you, you become the center of his attention
Even if you are prone to jealousy, you won’t feel it very often around Mammon.
Leviathan
You don’t have to tell Levi when you’re jealous, he can already tell.
As the Avatar of Envy Levi can pick up on the most subtle of jealous feelings, and he could sense it in you from a mile away
Not only can Levi tell when someone is jealous, he understands jealousy and it’s deepest complexities very well. Normally it’s hard for Levi to read people, but it’s like he can peer into your soul when you reveal how you feel.
Levi is ecstatic, this complex feeling you’re experiencing is the closest to you he’s ever felt and he can truly understand you. Not only that, why you’re jealous makes him over the moon with happiness. You want to possess him? You’re jealous because of him?
Knowing he was important enough to get under your skin in such a way fills him with this strange, sadistic pleasure.
Not only that he finds it pretty cute. Cue him listing all the tsundere anime characters you remind him of.
He will try to comfort you, after all Levi would be the one to know how horrible and even at times debilitating jealousy can feel
But he won’t stop making you feel jealous, in fact he does things intentionally to make you jealous.
He will spend time away from you, talk about other people or fictional characters more and if he can he will go places without you and then tell you all about it.
He can feel you become envious and he loves it, for some reason it pulls something out of him.
If you get in a fight it’s hard to stay mad at him, he immediately rolls over and apologizes. But, he does it in an extremely patronizing way with the biggest grin on his face.
“Aww... you’re jealous? MC... there’s really no need to feel jealous, I’ve told you. How do you feel jealous, why? What made you feel jealous?” He then goes on to insist you tell him in detail what he’d done and how you feel.
But he’s always there to calm you down again, to reap the fruits of his labor and relish in the fight and subsequent makeup.
To him, you’re feeling these extreme, beautiful emotions because of him, because of what he does and because you love him and he couldn’t be happier.
He will feed on your jealousy
Satan
Satan doesn’t really do anything that would make you feel jealous, so when he finds out you get jealous over him he’s somewhat surprised
He takes it in stride though, he finds it cute
He won’t really take you that seriously unless you really try and even then he knows you have nothing to worry about so he’s pretty aloof
He’s confident in himself so he doesn’t feel like he has anything to prove but he will ease you if needed
He might tease you a little, though
“Is my little kitty jealous? That only makes you cuter, you know.” He chuckles as he cups your face, rubbing behind your ear
If you get mad at that, he will laugh to himself and hug you, he honestly can’t take it seriously
He knows he should be kind to you especially if you are being serious, he just can’t help himself. To him it’s so silly and adorable
You really have no need to be jealous, he truly feels very indifferent to most of everyone around him
If you begin to accompany him where he goes he will just be happy to have your company, he doesn’t care if you’re doing it to show everyone he’s yours
Don’t expect to get away with not getting teased though
Asmodeus
Asmo knows you would get jealous over him, I mean who wouldn’t? Anyone would be with him given the chance and he likes the attention
Your possessiveness is no different, he loves it and the attention it gets him
He finds it really cute, he can’t help but want to hug and squeeze you anytime he sees your adorable face scrunch up from jealousy
Asmo wants to devote himself to you, the idea of it is really romantic to him
And he likes the idea that you are only interested in him, that you love him enough to want to keep him all to yourself
Obsess over him, he will love it and to be honest he deserves it
For a while Asmo will try to cater to you, be entirely yours and try not to do anything that would make you feel jealous
But don’t expect him to stay that way for long, it’s not in his lifestyle to be locked away only for your eyes
He wants to go out and be the center of attention at all times but that doesn’t mean he loves you any less
“Please, my sweet MC... forgive me? I promise later I will give you all my attention... and I’ll make you feel so good, so please?” He begs you after you found him getting ready to go clubbing without you.
Tensions between you and Solomon may arise, after all Asmo has a pact with both of you and he doesn’t want to play favorites
If Solomon ever calls on Asmo when it’s supposed to be your time with him, a fight might break out
Asmo is good with drama though since he usually finds himself mixed up in something
He finds your possessiveness endearing and cute but overall don’t expect him to be tied down
Beelzebub
He’s such a good boy, he will notice whenever you are upset but it can be hard for him to pinpoint exactly why
You’d need to explain yourself to him for him to understand
But he’s still just as confused, you’re jealous over him? Why?
He scolds himself, obviously it’s his fault that you feel this way, he isn’t doing a good enough job making you feel loved
Dropping everything he will try to make things better. If you ask him to sit with you he will, if you ask him to call you everyday he has no problem with it, tell him to quit his club for you he might.
He basically begins to follow you everywhere you go, around school and at home if you allow it

If you exert your control over him, tell him to only be with you or hang out with you he has no problem with it. He doesn’t care how or why, as long as you get him out of doing things.

Okay, They’re Your Cousins but You’re Not Sure How They’re Related to You...
(Barbatos, Simeon, Solomon, and Luke)
(It’s mostly Luke)
Barbs likes smol Lucifer. Smol Lucifer likes Barbs. They bake together with Luke. MC nearly set the kitchen on fire. MC needed to learn to cook.
MC is forever delegated to mixing duty because they refuse to admit that they don’t know how to work the oven.
Simeon is the one telling MC embarrassing stories about Lucifer and the rest of the Student Council from when they were all angels. Lucifer never hated Simeon more than when he found out that Simeon told MC about how hard Lucifer cried when he got to hold baby Mammon for the first time. MC was sworn to secrecy.
Well... sworn to secrecy, but if Uncle Mammon just happened to find out through a series of coincidences it wouldn’t be MC’s fault, right?
Simeon also tried to help teach MC to fly... but he kept distracting them with stories about Lucifer and Michael learning to fly.
“So my father was even WORSE than he told me he was?!”
“Yes, he actually challenged Michael and Raphael to a race at one point. Lucifer ended up slamming directly into a wall because he didn’t know how to stop.”
“SIMEON!”
Solomon was absolutely fascinated with MC. How did their half demon half human nature affect their reaction to certain spells and potions? Do half demons have more or less magical strength than normal demons? Can half demons make pacts with humans? Wait- Lucifer why are you taking MC away they were talking- Lucifer!
Immortal troll needs to troll. MC is the unwitting victim of many of Solomon’s shenanigans.
“Why must I speak in rhymes?! This is the end of times!”
“MC, just stop talking.”
“Father, I don’t mean to be a bother but-”
“So the rhyming spell works the same on half demons... interesting...”
“Solomon...”
“I’m leaving, Lucifer. I’m leaving!”
Aw! Two kids in the Devildom! They were fast friends. Sure, Luke was a little annoying and MC was a bit of a dick, but their mutual smallness and desire to impress their parental figures brought them together.
“Michael’s just so cool and amazing! The way he flies, the way he commands everyone... I want to be just like him someday!”
“Is that why you’re making a cake?”
“Michael has a sweet tooth, and I want to impress him.”
“I wonder if Lucifer likes sweets...”
“Why would you want to give HIM sweets?”
MC just gave Luke a toothy grin and started making the dough for the cake.
Remember back in Lucifer’s section where I said MC would keep their lineage a secret to freak people out? Yeah... they kept it from Luke. At first it was a joke! They were going to tell him! They just uh... it got really awkward. They planned on revealing it to Luke right after they learned how to properly fly so they could swoop in, pick their angel buddy up and zip the two of them to school. It’d freak Luke out at first, but it was meant to be funny! MC would have even sung the song from Aladdin! It um... didn’t turn out that way.
“Hey! What the hell do you think you’re doing?” MC growled at the lesser demons that were crowding Luke.
“O-oh... uh... nuh-nothing...” a few of the demons backed off, mumbling a few harried apologies to MC as they scurried away. The remaining demons seemed a tad more... hmm... they say there’s a fine line between bravery and stupidity.
“M-MC! You can’t fight demons! I’m an angel I-I c-can...” Luke sniffled, but tried his best to step in front of MC.
“Oh please, the little half-breed and the lowest ranked angel are going to put up a fight?” One of the demons jeered, a few of the remaining demons joined in.
MC’s eyes narrowed, their glare as cold as the worst winter storm. “I’m going to tell you once, and once only,”
Their wings sprouted from their back, horns now fully grown and on display, teeth sharper and glistening in the light. Hm, it seemed half demons could make their eyes glow too, how delightful.
MC gave the other demons a sweet smile, it would have been comforting if it weren’t for the amount of teeth they were showing off. They lazily placed their hand on Luke’s head and lightly moved him out of the way.
“Leave, or I will make you regret ever crossing us exchange students.” MC’s carefree smile couldn’t mask the malice that coated every single word that left their lips. “Run along now, you’re not needed here.”
The demon that had started the taunts stiffened, he looked from MC, to Luke, to the other demons, before scoffing and shaking his head. “Whatever, the two of them aren’t worth it anyway...”
When the offending demons weren’t leaving fast enough for MC’s liking, they snapped their fingers and shot a fireball right behind the fleeing demons’ feet. They cleared out pretty quickly after that.
“Luke?” MC turned to look at their friend. “Are you...”
Luke was backing away. That look in his eyes, he was... scared. Scared of MC...
“Y-you’re a d-demon?” He whimpered, taking another step back.
“Half demon, actually.” MC let their demonic elements disappear. “I meant to tell you, I really did! It just was never the right time-”
“You lied to me! You said you were human! But you’re a demon like the rest of them!” Luke shouted, he wiped at his eye with his sleeve and sniffled. “I tried to help you, but you just..! I thought you were my friend!”
“Luke- hang on!” MC took a few steps forward, but Luke was already running away. MC felt something twist in their gut, something awful. That ball of innate pride twisted and practically screamed, filling MC’s head.
“He’s not worth it!”
“You’re above him anyway...”
“If he can’t understand how perfect you are, he doesn’t deserve your kindness.”
“Don’t grovel for his forgiveness. He’s beneath you.”
“Your help was rejected. Let him hate you. You’re the child of one of the most powerful demons in the Devildom, who is he to make you upset?”
The thoughts filled MC’s head as they desperately tried to shut them up. They were their father’s child, their pride wouldn’t be easily combated.
“Just be quiet!” MC clawed at their head.
“You’re better than this. You’re better than this. You’re better than this-”
“Luke!” MC called out again. “I’m sorry!”
It truly was a shame that their friend didn’t understand how much an apology from MC really meant.
They guessed Luke was right, wasn’t he? Demons were nasty awful liars. MC was no different...
That hurt.
Lucifer noticed his kid was moping around, not even Detective Toe Beans could cheer them up. Mammon even came home covered in mud from a failed money-making scheme and it didn’t even make MC crack a smile! He needed to get to the bottom of this.
Upon hearing the reason for his child’s woes, he was fully ready to break down the door of Purgatory Hall and throttle the little chihuahua, but Lucifer came to his senses and realized that MC probably didn’t want that.
He teamed up with Simeon and Solomon the things he did for MC... And managed to get both Luke and MC to the Demon Lord’s Castle to hang out with Barbatos.
It didn’t take a genius to realize that Luke missed his friend too. Sure they called him a chihuahua sometimes, but they were still the bestest friend he had made during his time in the exchange program... maybe ever...
Maybe... just maybe... he overreacted. MC did protect him after all, and they never tried to hurt him...
Barbatos was fully ready to fulfill his role as Luke’s second dad and help his angel-son make up with his friend.
It may have been awkward at first, but the two had to join forces to stop Solomon from getting within a hundred metres of the kitchen. Nothing brings two people back together more than fear for your tastebuds.
Mission success. Lucifer could relax knowing that his kid and the chihuahua were back to being friends. Maybe MC could convince Luke to quiet his infernal yapping... Lucifer was trying to work here!
For some extra fluff, after many days of asking and asking, Lucifer and Simeon agree to take Luke and MC up to the human world for Halloween. They got to go trick or treating, and everyone complimented MC and Luke on their ‘costumes’.
*insert sitcom laugh track here*
Sure, it may have been a little immoral for MC to use their powers to manipulate the humans into giving Luke and MC more candy but... candy...
Oh shit would you look at the time- they had to get back to the Devildom for Diavolo’s birthday party- MC STOP WITH THE CHOCOLATE! THE SIGN SAYS TAKE ONE! DON’T BE LIKE MAMMON.
The exchange year had been a success. Well... sort of. MC wasn’t exactly the average Joe human the Student Council expected, which is why after a lengthy break where MC went back to the human world to visit their other parent and human friends, the seven rulers of Hell (+MC) were sitting and waiting for the new exchange students to arrive.
Unlike the previous year, the entire student council was present. That included Levi who they had to physically drag there, Belphie who was carried there and had to be placed in his seat because he was completely passed out, and finally Mammon, he just had to be threatened.
“Father,” MC pouted from their seat next to Lucifer. “Why isn’t my chair as big as yours?”
Lucifer sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Because you’re much shorter than me. You can have a bigger chair when you grow a few more inches.”
“Mmm...” MC murmured, crossing their arms. “Are the students going to get here, or what?”
“Can you be patient?” Lucifer asked. “They’ll be here any moment now. I can trust that you’ll behave, right?”
MC looked scandalized, placing a hand over their heart and gasping. “Father! Of course! I’ll be the most polite person these humans have ever met!”
Not so deep down, Lucifer severely doubted that.
“Come now, Lucifer and MC!” Diavolo said from his elevated seat. “It’s almost eight am!”
Right on schedule the portal opened, two sets of screams followed.
“The next big priority should be making the trip more comfortable.” MC huffed. “It’s demeaning getting dropped straight down like that and just slamming into the floor.”
“Hm.” Lucifer rolled his eyes. “Perhaps instead we can just teleport them up to the Celestial Realm, start a war, and have them crash through not one, not two, but all three barriers between the realms with no portal.”
“Father...” MC matched Lucifer’s eye roll. “That has the same energy as ‘when I was your age I walked to school 100 miles through a blizzard!’ The polite thing to do for the exchange students is to not let them hit the floor at 100 mph and possibly give them a concussion.”
And slam straight onto the floor the two other exchange students did. Well, one of them slammed right into the marble, the other had tried in vain to use their wings to slow their decent or fly back up.
Wait...
WINGS?!
WAIT THE OTHER HAD HORNS?!

Oh and would you look at that... one looked like... and the other looked like-

Lucifer had to keep himself from actually shouting in frustration. One normal day... one day of no exchange student issues was all he asked for...
“Out of over ten million candidates out of over eight billion humans...” Lucifer grumbled. “How in my father’s name did this happen again?”

my problems with season four:
1) it’s boring. I understand that people were tired of drama in season 2, but I personally was tired of Mc being a bystander in the drama. If there’s gonna be drama, let it revolve around Mc and the people close to her. There’s little to no challenges, and if you do decide to get intimate with someone else’s partner, NO ONE reacts.
2) despite Mc being a bombshell, SHE CAN’T GRAFT! There’s literally little to no chances of us grafting on any of the other LIs and it’s so. Annoying.
3) People were saying that people seek uninterested in Mc, and I kinda agree. It’s not even that they’re uninterested—it’s that Mc isn’t even allowed the chance to work for it!
4) The LIs, so far, aren’t doing it for me. No one is catching my eye fr :/
(PS, a lot of ppl were upset w Will, and I understand. The problem wasn’t that he went with his og couple—in fact, he broke up with one girl, and if you choose to couple up with him, proceeds to break up with you for ANOTHER girl that isn’t the original girl he was with, if that makes sense. The game made it seem like he was interested in staying with mc then he dropped the bomb that “oh I want someone else sorry”. I personally saw it coming so I didn’t couple up w him at all).
Idk. This may be LITGs last season LMAO bc with the way they treated their workers, and with the way s4 is going, I don’t think fans will stick around.

will wasn't interested in thabi and was coupled up with najuma, right? but i saw that when you choose a specific option he says coupling up with thabi would be "cool" if i'm not mistaken. but still, you would have to go through a haystack of options to get there and if he was interested it should've been made more clear.
i just don't agree with the hate towards thabi. she didn't force him to choose her. people are treating him like a lost dog but he's a whole person and he made his choice. why hating on the poor girl? it's not her fault she had bad taste.
and yeah, i think i've said this on a different ask, i think they're gonna keep recycling seasons on matchmaker, then probably add new routes like nicky and seb, then only focus on seduction games and matchmaker bullshit.
i find it hard to believe they'll ever try to make something good and this is probably the end of it.
am i said about it? yes. i wish i was playing this season but i don't feel excited about it at all.

One of the most important plotline for Azriel's book has been set up in ACOSF
It's to do with the Illyrians.
• His mother is still alive.
• His two half-brothers are still alive.
The following reasons is why I'm pretty sure Elain will have no role to play here and because I will highlight on the Valkyries and Gwyn's role later on:
She has no affiliation with the Illyrians, she will likely find them too brutal and barbaric, she has no reason to help Azriel change his perspective of his people when she knows nothing or has no connection to them, she won't suddenly have a new perspective in one book and push him to view his people differently when she doesn't even know how he feels about them or why he feels that way about them especially if it came from a person that has no knowledge about them. Even if they were on a mission to retrieve the 4th item or were in a mission to go under Ramiel I doubt it will happen: 1) it's hard to believe Az would bring Elain to the Illyrians he despises willingly. 2) even if they went there, still, what role Elain would play that would help resolve the Illyrian issue? Nothing.
Who will play a role in helping Azriel view his people in a different light will be mentioned down below but we need to highlight a few things first.
Azriel hates the Illyrians. He despises them. He wouldn't mind if Ramiel collapsed on their camps. I think his hatred of them roots back to his family especially with how his mother was treated.
“The Illyrians are pieces of shit,” he said too quietly. -- “They train and train as warriors, and yet when they don’t come home, their families make us into villains for sending them to war?” (ACOFAS)
“They’re hypocrites.” “And what would you have me do, then? Disband the largest army in Prythian?” -- “I am not going to disband the Illyrians. There is nowhere for them to go, anyway. And if we try to drag them out of those mountains, they might launch the very assault we’re trying to defuse.” (ACOFAS)
“What, we’re doing some role reversal? Az gets to lead the Illyrians now?” “Don’t play stupid,” Rhys said coolly. Cassian rolled his eyes. But they both knew Azriel would sooner disband and destroy Illyria than help it. Convincing their brother that the Illyrians were a people worth saving was still a battle amongst the three of them. (ACOSF)
We expected that in Cassian's book, the Illyrians will be one of the important plotlines but it actually wasn't the Illyrians, it was the Valkyries. Sarah apparently changed the plan from having Nesta train in Illyria to adding the Valkyries into the mix. If the Illyrian plotline was not present in Cassian's book, whose book will likely feature it and which ACOSF set up for it? It has to be another Illyrian. It's definitely Azriel.
In one of my previous posts about Gwyn as an MC, I mentioned that she would contribute to this plotline because of her quotes and the fact that she is a Valkyrie. I think I would like to clarify that in this post because I do think Gwyn and the Valkyries will play a role and this will include Nesta and Cassian because Sarah said Nesta will stay have a role to play on the future books. Since that was a purely Gwyn post, I did not elaborate on the Valkyries. So, let me share some quotes from ACOSF here:
“Are there truly no female fighting units amongst the Illyrians?” She hadn’t seen any during the war. His smile faded. “We tried once and it failed spectacularly. So, no. There aren’t.” “Because Illyrians are backward and horrible.” He winced. “Have you been talking to Az?” “Just my observations.” He untied his hair, the thick, straight locks falling around his face. “The Illyrians … I told you. Progress is slow. It’s an ongoing goal of ours—me and Rhys, I mean.” “It’s that hard for the females to become warriors?” (ACOSF) < so what is the issue here? There are no female fighting units among the Illyrians. The Valkyries established themselves as a female fighting unit thus them having a role in breaking this rule and helping and encouraging the Illyrian females. This is still an unresolved issue.
“But we wanted Devlon—and whoever he tells—to understand that you’re as talented as any Illyrian unit. This was the only way they’d get it. Being a Valkyrie means nothing to them, and you certainly don’t need their approval, but …” He glanced to Emerie again. “I wanted them to know. What you’ve accomplished. That even though Valkyries don’t have something akin to the Blood Rite, you’re as trained as any warrior in Illyria.”
Fear bloomed, so vast and broad he could barely breathe. It was a message—to the females for thinking themselves warriors, and to him for teaching them, for defying the Illyrians’ archaic hierarchies and rules.
“I want to take the road that no one dares travel, and I want to travel it with you two. No matter what may befall us. Not as Illyrians, not for their titles, but as something new. To prove to them, to everyone, that something new and different might triumph over their rules and restrictions.”
“So we climb Ramiel. We take the Breaking. We win to prove to everyone that something new can be as powerful and unbreakable as the old rules. That something no one has ever seen before, not entirely Valkyrie nor entirely Illyrian, can win the Blood Rite.”
Gwyn laughed hoarsely. “The Illyrians are going to be furious about our winning, you know. Especially because I have no intention of being called Carynthian. I’m content with being a Valkyrie.” “Oh, they’ll be in hysterics for decades,” Emerie agreed, grinning.
I think these quotes establish that:
1. Azriel's hatred towards his own people is an issue that needs resolution in his book and that means redeeming the Illyrians in his eyes.
2. The Valkyries will be targeted by the Illyrians being the new all-female fighting units in the Night Court. That means more Illyrian females will be encouraged to join and that will piss off many Illyrian males. Not only that, but they also broke the rules of the Blood Rite by using weapons. I will explain how each of the three Valkyries might play a role in this though I know they will collectively contribute to this change with the support of Cassian and Azriel (I am still talking about this being a plotline for Azriel's book)
• Nesta: Nesta will be the support to both Emerie and Gwyn and will encourage the females to join and become Valkyries. She is the one that suggested to Cassian to train the priestesses so her role is important because she started this movement. This change is also one of Cassian's goals and they both share it.
• Emerie: being an Illyrian herself, the first Illyrian female Carynthian, I think it's possible to witness her become the leader of the fighting unit or even in the future become the general of the Illyrian army if the change they pursue for Illyria comes to fruition. She as a Carynthian and a true warrior will have great influence on the Illyrian females, she will persuade the females to join and to push against their rules knowing how chained they are to the same rules, the same traditions she had suffered from. I think she will likely bring an end to female wing clipping and the restriction on females training and joining the army. Because if the males failed, then a female will do the job since she knows hands-on what it is to be a female living among a hateful tribe. I'm sure we will see more of the impact of this change if Emerie gets a book which I think she will share with Mor if they become a thing.
• Gwyn: Gwyn's role, if she is confirmed to be Azriel's love interest, will be crucial to Azriel himself. She is the love interest of an Illyrian blinded by his hatred towards his people after all. Neither Rhys or Cassian succeeded in changing Azriel's perspective on the Illyrians however, I do believe that pushing for that change will help Azriel in realizing that his people are worth saving and Gwyn will help open his eyes and realize that there is hope for his people, there is a bright future for the Illyrians especially since he is involved with the Valkyries and they will play a role and bringing the change and starting a movement within Illyria despite their rules and traditions. If Gwyn is indeed Azriel's love interest, she will play a significant role in this being the first non-Illyrian female Carynthian in history. She will contribute to the change and may persuade Az to embrace this change and help the Valkyries push for it to help the Illyrian females. Before someone says I am reducing Gwyn's role as his love interest only and her actions are tied to him, if it's a Gwynriel book then we will have Gwyn's POV and usually the love interest is the supporting MC to the main MC (Feyre/Rhys + Nesta/Cassian) but she will have her own goal and healing journey to achieve, this is the part I speak about how she will help Az see his people in a different light because if Rhys and Cassian failed to convince him, who will except for someone who will understand him on a deeper level and understand the root of this hatred without judgement?
3. Azriel's actions are often impacted by some moments that trigger his memories of the past and how his father treated his mother. Azriel's past is also tied to the Illyrians and his family. His mother is still alive and his brothers are still alive which I think we are likely to meet them in his book. We will revisit Azriel's childhood home and this is where we will be exposed to the root cause of his hatred towards his people and that should be acknowledged. It's not a coincidence his mother was mentioned in ACOSF.
4. Balthazar could be the Valkyries' new friend and also befriend Azriel. You can't tell me SJM introduced him and threw him there just like that. Yes, I do believe Azriel needs another Illyrian male to befriend out of the IC so to get a fresh perspective on his people and to realize that not all of them are bad. I support Azriel getting to know to new friends
5. No, I do not think his book will focus on solely Valkyrie training again like it did in ACOSF. The conflict will be between Illyrians vs Valkyries and this whole issue. The Valkyries did win the Blood Rite, but the Illyrian issue is not resolved, I think Valkyries winning the Blood Rite will ignite it.
• I wanted to add another point that Mor will be joining the Valkyries training and may likely play a secondary part in this issue. This also might set up the closure scene between Azriel and Mor because will be within his periphery. Mor's presence also ties her to her potential romantic plotline with Emerie who may end up as a couple.
This is one of the possible plotlines that I think will be included in his book and it's based on what was foreshadowed and mentioned in ACOSF.
It ties many things together (Azriel's hatred towards his people, pushing for change in Illyria, facing his past that is tied to his healing journey, Valkyries expanding means another army unit for the upcoming war, witnessing the Valkyries growth).
I do think Koschei and the human Queens and the whole dread trove will still play a role in his book, I am not dismissing it. But, it's only logical for Koschei to be defeated in the final book and not in Book 5. Azriel and co may find something that will help in their search for the fourth trove and defeating Koschei.
It seems to me all of that will be dealt with in Azriel's book and it will include Cassian and the Valkyries.
