I don't talk a lot about Burmese language, huh? I just realized that some Burmese insults are so good they're insta-kill one liners. (I mean those which aren't racist/sexist etc of course because insults can be like that in ANY language)
Anyway, here's a few insults I enjoy!
အုတ်ကြားမြက်ပေါက် (Oat kyar myat pout) that translates literally to "grass that grows in between bricks." The meaning is pretty close to a "bastard" because the grass isn't supposed to be there. Idiot grass, trying to grow in the bricks smh.
ဆန်ကုန်မြေလေး (San kone myay lay) the literal translation is "spent rice, heavy ground" but it means "you're a waste of rice and the only thing you've ever done in your life is making the ground heavy" which is so sick 😭
လျှာအရိုးမရှိ (Shar a yoe ma shi) lit. translation being "tongue doesn't have a bone" and it means "you can't keep saying bullshit just because your tongue doesn't have a bone in it!"
Of course, there are MANY others but these are my top three contenders.

THE PEOPLE OF MYANMAR ARE RISING UP FOR DEMOCRACY
Students, civil servants, nurses, and others are putting their lives on the line to resist tyranny. In order to sustain the movement, they need lost-income support for food, healthcare and housing.
Mutual Aid Myanmar (MAM) is a collection of activists, academics, and policy makers working to support the democracy movement in Myanmar.
Our deep connections in the country allow us to distribute funds efficiently and target activists with the most need and greatest impact.

My handwriting in five languages
English | Burmese | Korean | Chinese | Japanese
I don't have the most beautiful handwriting but I love writing on paper with a pen!! my fav is black in because I feel cooler. The sentences are from books I had around.
my fav handwriting is definitely my Burmese handwriting. Look at those round things go!!!
my favorite language to practice writing in is Chinese. The hanzi (or kanji/hanja) feels so nice. It's like meditation
my favorite language to actually write things in is Korean. Maybe because now I'm fluent in a language other than Burmese and English. While writing long essays in Korean, I can FEEL my brain unlocking things.
least favorite language to write in is japanese. My brain has to switch gears from simplified chinese characters to traditional chinese characters to japanese chinese characters. maybe it'll get easier if I get to like N1 but right now, it's ugh. I love hiragana but I'm going to have an enemies to lovers arc with katakana. I can feel it.

What's wrong with bombay cats ethically? Hadn't heard of that one.
Bombay cats, as a breed created by crossing the Burmese and American Shorthair breeds, are known to have a genetic disorder called “Burmese Head Defect”. One copy of the gene gives the Bombay cat the desired brachycephalic head shape and large eyes as required by the breed standard, whereas two copies of the gene cause lethal deformities of the skull (incomplete development of the skull above the jaw, missing eyes and ears, double whisker pads, protrusion of the brain from the skull, and more). Kittens with this defect are born stillborn or require immediate euthanasia as they would not be able to survive with any quality of life. You can read more about the condition here.
All that to say that, like Munchkins or Scottish Folds, it is “desirable” to breed cats with a single copy of a lethal trait, as it has aesthetic aspects encouraged by the breed standard. While not all bombay cats have this gene and not all breeders intentionally breed cats with this gene I don’t think it is particularly ethical to purposefully breed cats to a breed standard that encourages the aesthetic of genetic defects. Even though the single gene version of the cats are able to survive, brachycephaly has been proven to lower a cat’s quality of life significantly, and their large eyes also make me question whether or not they have vision problems. In bombay cats even without the gene, they will still suffer from the brachycephaly present in the breed standard and show circles, which comes with its own health problems.

(These are all show/breeding quality bombays- thanks @catsindoors for sharing them with me!)
If your breed standard is inherently tied to traits that limit a cat’s quality of life, I don’t think it is ethical to breed those cats. This goes for Burmese, Munchkins, Scottish Folds, extreme Persians/Himalayans/Exotics, and unfortunately Bombays.
