Just a thought, but another user on Tumblr ( @pageofheartdj ) has pointed out how in the flashback of tiny Charlie, the woman who picks her up and carries her away from Lucy has her bangs down, which is seen with Eve rather than Lilith and her silhouette, which has slicked back bangs.
I'm honestly starting to think that Charlie might be Eve's child?
Remember Lucifer's taunts to Adam? (Screenshots taken from @huskisaloser 's post).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now... while this might be just a taunt, and nothing deep, this really bothers me.
Specifically the gestures.
For Lilith, who was Adam's first wife, he makes a cunnilingus gesture, while for Eve, he makes a sexual gesture.
What if this is teasing that Lucifer never really had a sexual relationship with Lilith, or something. What if all that they shared was the "wish to show humans free-will"? Or, at the very least, what if Lilith wasn't the one who, ultimately, gave birth to Charlie.
Again, if it is a tease to earlier relationships between the two women, why not give the sexual gesture when mentioning Lilith, and the other for Eve?
I have no clue how that could've happen, but like... Also.
Charlie. Charlie is a kind soul. She is fighting for demons to be redeemed. Ironically, she sounds like an angel. Kind, good, loving, forgiving, etc. etc. Meanwhile, Lilith... while we don't know much about her, from the backstory animation at the very beginning of the first episode, shows her thriving off of power. Off of the demonkind. You could almost call her evil.
So, would it be far off to say Charlie is like a perfect angel? And while it can just be Lucifer's personality shinning onto her, you could also argue her personality was "given" to her by Eve, too.
It also bothers me that Eve/Lilith was taking Charlie away from Lucy in that flashback. Naptime? Or something more sinister?
But that's just a theory.
A FILM THEORY!
EDIT: Not to mention, actually, at the beginning, Charlie is literally reading a story. A bookstory. A romanticized backstory of the Heaven and Hell. Of Lilith and Lucifer.
Who's to say that Lilith and Lucifer truly were married? Or had a kid? Or had fallen in love? Maybe they were partners in crime?
And if Lilith and Eve are really twins, who's to say that the painting isn't of auntie Lilith, who's been more involved than mother?

A couple of June spreads I made in my reading journal. ( I was thinking about making a whole post on my reading journal, would that be a good idea?)

19/30 days of self care
Today I worked in the morning, when I got home I was super tired and I decided that at least on my birthday I can avoid the plans I had made and just read and relax in the afternoon. And it's exactly what I did. I did my daily Irish practice on duolingo, but for the rest of the day I just slowed down and read. These past few days I have felt really exhausted for some reason, so taking an afternoon for myself was much needed.

Halloween isn’t that far away, you know. Have you read or watched any of the classic horror books or movies? What are your favourites or least favourites if you have?
Horror has probably become my favourite book genre in these past couple of years. I am not a huge fan of horror movies, as the type of horror I enjoy the most is more psychological based, jumpscares and gory scenes are not what I necessarily look for. I like a story that can scare you by using your own imagination (reason why I think The Magnus Archives podcast worked amazingly). I want to get to more classic horror novels, It by Stephen King has been on my tbr for years, but since it's a huge book I haven't read it yet. And I also want to read more horror that is not just King. I like him as a writer but the fact that in my local bookstory has only his stuff in the horror section bothers me so much. (If you have any good horror book recs I am all hears). The last horror book I read was Pet Sematary by King, and it was a huge let down. I currently put on hold the reading of House Of Leaves by M.Z. Danielewski, I was enjoying it but it's a book that requires more focus that I've had in the past month. I am really excited to read more horror stuff, and I think that I'll look for a couple of these books for the summer, so give me your best recs please.

I'm back!
I was locked out of this blog forEVER! SOOOOO much has happened!
Axis is almost ready to be published. All that's left for the manuscript is the proofreading and formatting. I also received my first draft for my cover, and it's looking great! A couple minor changes were sent in, but the artist and designer are amazing, so not much was needed.
We at the publishing company have a big ask. Originally, the company was based in Texas. With the anti-trans laws and attack on all things LGBTQIA+, you can imagine that our press who publishes lots of trans authors such as Dr. Nyri A. Bakkalian and Leo Otherland and non-straight authors such as yours truly had to make some difficult decisions. This involved meeting with legal advisors and moving the press to Vermont, which accrued a lot of fees. As such, we've been running an indiegogo to raise funds to cover these fees and continue publishing our current line-up of books. So far, we've raised enough to cover Axis, but we still have three amazing books that are lined up:
Princess of the Pomegranate Moon, by Emily Wynne, coming November 17, 2023: A mystic sword-and-sorcery fantasy set in a dying Earth, where the present day has been all but forgotten. A young trans woman explores the legacy of her past and the ghosts of a half-remembered history that intersect it.
Bookstories, by Sarah Tollok, coming March 8, 2024: This cross-genre tale interweaves literary and speculative elements in a braided narrative about the interconnectedness of stories and life. A publishing house slush reader with an empathic gift for understanding people by reading their writing has met her match. A series of breathtaking but incomplete stories that reveal to her not a single detail about their author leads her on a decades-long search that questions the importance of a story’s ending.
Beautiful Serpent, Restless Embers, by D.Y. Freeman, coming April 5, 2024: A gothic, esoteric fantasy about a young woman who defies her fate. As she flees those who wish to control her, she must embrace the staggering power within that others have taught her to fear—or fall to the madness that haunts her.
There are quite a few tiers to choose from with new ones just recently added. Even if you can't give anything right now, reblogging could really help get the word out so that we can continue to publish stories that need to be told.
Lastly, I have FINALLY been added to my job's full-time status after almost 2 years of working there, so updates will still be sporadic/mostly weekend things.
Thanks for your time, all!

I have (as one of the last persons in this world) seen, that there exists photoshootings for books. So I have a short try but it needs much more to try - the light has to be special and the setting should work with the bookstory 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think there will be more book photos the next time 😂🙈😵‍💫

I find it fun to play with the idea of doing wh fanart with dynamic poses and a lot of movement and action. Because wh is so static and homy. It's supposed to be quite fun and calm, or atleast what I got from it. So it would be fun to think of an action scene in the context of wh as I absolutely love wh but I have adhd and action movies with little talking are my thing
Tho I'd want something to do with frank and bugs. I thought of a story where frank has a nightmare about giant realistic butterflies in different sizes changing him through his house which has seemed to turn into endless hallways. And it's just the dream, he would probably try to talk it out to someone but reassure them and himself that it was just only a dream and didn't spook him much. And I don't know enough of the bugs from wh to continue that. But just scary childrens bookstory. Very fun to think of

Book reading took an indolent
MVR original It’s not like I am disrespecting my reading habits, not even the quality of content I am choosing these days made me took a u-turn to start from when I started. It’s like I always come back after years of taken a turn! Yes, that’s me and I still remember, the whole detour was knowingly taken to explore the different genres and see the difference it makes to my life. Life changes…

- Δεν είναι απλώς μια παράξενη... Είναι αιχμάλωτη ενός μυστικού που της δίνει μια γοητευτική και τρομακτική αύρα...
- Τι σου αρέσει σε εκείνη;

The Boardwalk Bookstore by Susan Mallery
The Boardwalk Bookstore by Susan Mallery was a fun read.  It had all the elements of a Susan Mallery book with strong women characters, men who were capable of great love, and confusion on how to move forward.
The Boardwalk Bookstore owned by Bree is a bookstore set on the beach in California.  She shares her rental space with Ashley who owns a muffin shop and Mikki who owns a gift shop.  Together the three move their businesses into a growing concern by sharing the rental on the beach.
However, all three ladies are less lucky in love.  Bree is - according to her - unable to love another person except for a night or two.  Mikki is divorced and has managed to stay a good friend with her ex and his family while not moving on.  Ashley is wildly in love with Seth, who has a quirk all his own.  The book allows the three story lines to weave around each of the ladies as they grow closer in support of the others. There is a man out there for each one, but the road is rocky as they learn to move forward.  This book did not have a wildly intense epiphany of realizations, it did allow the reader to feel satisfied with the results and end the book happily.
The Boardwalk Bookstory by Susan Mallery was a good read.
