Maisie saying blonde & good enough didn't fit the album is so... if it were me the standard album would end with history of man (at no.14 instead) and the deluxe would be:
15.-blonde (for the sudden vibe change)
16.-good enough (bc I cry)
17.-there it goes (bc it also has album closer vibes and there was that brief discourse abt it)
if I had to put not another rockstar in it would be between ge & tig but I personally don't think its the same lyrical level + actually maybe one acoustic version track though idk which

The @hotjaneaustenmenpoll tournament has inspired me to finally write this post, this more than a post, this bit of FUNDAMENTAL Austen adaptation research.
It is well known that there was a Mansfield Park adaptation in 2007, for which the reception went from "eh?" to "huh?", but what most people around here probably don't know, is that this was the cover for the DVD release in Spain:
Tumblr media
And you'll naturally ask, who is that handsome blonde man on the right? He definitely isn't Michelle Ryan, we know what she looks like.
He's Baddeley. The butler. The butler at Mansfield Park. Emma's 2020 class commentary this, and Emma 1996 (ITV) social commentary that, but has any of them put a servant on the cover? Thought so. And people have the gall of calling this a bad, unfaithful adaptation :P
So, in honor of Baddeley and his being the only servant I can think of in the Austen canon of whom we have some pov writing, and what is better, that pov is inner snarky thoughts about Mrs Norris, let's have every time Baddeley shows up in MP 2007, witnesses iconic events, and wins his spot on the DVD cover.
Here we have Baddeley serving some refreshments during Henry and Mary's first visit to Mansfield:
Tumblr media
Here we have him also serving some wine to sir Thomas during the very awkward dinner that followed his return from Antigua:
Tumblr media
Here we have Baddeley making sure Fanny's special picnic goes perfect:
Tumblr media
That includes making sure nobody is dying of thirst (dancing is a very taxing activity!):
Tumblr media
Here we have him at the zenith moment of his telling Mrs Norris that she's not wanted:
Tumblr media
Evil never rests, and neither does Baddeley's commitment to keeping people hydrated, in this case, during a mouth-drying reading of Shakespeare by Henry:
Tumblr media
Sometimes Baddeley's work involves improvising, and taking on jobs others would have considered beneath their title, such as carrying Edmund's bags:
Tumblr media
Or helping sir Thomas get out of his traveling coat:
Tumblr media
But this also has its rewards, as door watch duty allows him to witness the moment sir Thomas yeets Mrs Norris out of Mansfield:
Tumblr media
Alas, in a clear commentary on the class issues of the regency era, despite his relevance to the plot and constant presence at life turning moments of the family, he was not invited and nowhere to be seen at Edmund and Fanny's wedding, while absolute strangers got to witness the momentous occasion instead.
Baddeley, friend, don't be sad. You were there, in our hearts.

The Healer pt 3
The story continues! Hope you guys like it!
Part 1 and 2 linked here.
Enjoy!
_____________________________
The Hero’s party stood with their backs to us, arguing loudly. They obviously didn’t hear Stephanie’s call, and kept their focus on the man in front of them.
“How dare you go back on our deal?!” Jack the Hero snapped, his face twisted with rage. “You have always been our chief supplier!”
Rita the Holy Archer spoke up, flipping her long blond hair over her shoulder as she did so. “Yeah, you never turned us down before!”
The massive and imposing form of Garrett the Giant loomed over the group as he stood by with his arms crossed, nodding in agreement. The fourth and final member, Rebecca the Sorceress, leaned against the Hero, her eyes filled with tears as if everyone in the room had personally wronged her.
Seeing the group together again was… rough, to say the least. I had once considered three of them, Jack, Rita and Garrett,  my closest friends. We had played the game together before the Downfall, spending late nights going on raids and completing quests. They had been the brightest part of a life that had been greatly overshadowed by my parents’ expectations and disapproval. I had valued their friendship, so much so that I was willing to break myself over and over again just to stay by their side. I had lied to myself, that I was just as much a part of the team as they were. That I was valued, even if they didn’t always say so. That I was lucky to have them, given that I had chosen the class I did. I hated myself for my weakness, but refused to leave, too dependent on them to try to break off on my own.
Until Jack finally betrayed me enough to wake me up to the truth:
They had never been my friends.
As for Rebecca… my gaze settled on the pitifully crying girl. She was crying when I met her, too.
______________________
“Healer! Help! I have an injured person here!” At Jack’s frantic cry, I forced myself awake and ran out of my house, surprised to see him carrying a young, beautiful woman. Her face was unnaturally pale, her red hair matted with blood, stuck to her forehead. Her clothing was scorched in several areas, making her seem even more pitiful. I paused for a moment, feeling a brief discomfort at the sight of Jack holding her with a tenderness in his eyes I had never seen before.
We were not a couple. He had hinted his interest several times, but we had agreed to wait until the world was more stable before discussing it deeply. I wasn’t sure of my own feelings, having always considered him a good friend, but I knew that in the midst of a life or death battle was probably not the best time to give a real answer. Jack hadn’t been happy with my response, but said he understood. He hadn’t brought it up again, but the sight of his distress for the woman in his arms made me wonder if I had his answer.
Either way, it was no time to work out my feelings on the matter. I pushed away the flash of unease at the two’s closeness and stepped forward to look at the young woman. She flinched away from my gaze, her teary eyes looking up at Jack.
“Don’t bother your friend! I just need a potion and I’ll be fine.”
Jack smiled at her. “Nonsense, you fainted just a minute ago. The Healer may be useless in a fight, but she can do targeted therapy for whatever injuries you have.”
I winced at the word “useless”, a term I was all too used to from my childhood.
“Wait!” Rather than being comforted, this seemed to distress the young man more. She struggled slightly, seeming unable to free herself from Jack’s hold. “I don’t…”
I lost patience, and reached out my hand, putting it on her forehead.
“Scan.”
**The Healer has activated Scan -20MP. Target is not in your party and some information is withheld.
Rebecca the Sorceress
Class –Magic User
Title – Sorceress, Magic Student, Dependent, Poison Master.
Level 56
HP 209/250
MP 280/300

Current status: Charm applied + 50 Charisma – 1 hour remaining.
Healing status – mild abrasions to forehead, right elbow, and anterior thigh-  10 sq centimeters total surface area.  First degree burns – dorsum of foot, and right wrist – 5 square centimeters total surface area. Mild poison toxicity – side effects include pallor, diaphoresis and generalized weakness. – 10 minutes remaining. **
I frowned as I read through the information. Jack quickly began asking questions.
“How bad is it, Healer? Will she be all right? You can fix it, right?”
“Some scrapes and mild burns, no worse than a sunburn, just needs her wounds dressed and some ointment for pain and to prevent infection. How did she get poisoned?”
“Poisoned?” He brought her into my house and set her down on my bed. “She wasn’t poisoned, she was protecting a family from bandits.”
I shrugged, getting out supplies and carefully cleaning and dressing her injuries. “The scan says she was poisoned, probably about an hour ago judging by the remaining cooldown. Nothing bad, just something that would make her pale, sweaty and weak.”
Rebecca began crying loudly as I finished bandaging her. Before I could react, Jack pushed me out of the way, leaning over to check on her. I slammed by back into the dresser, groaning with pain as it struck.
“Did she hurt you?!” He asked Rebecca, frowning as he looked over her bandages.
She blinked back tears, regaining control of herself. “I’m sorry, I was just so worried… The way she said it… it sounds like she’s accusing me of taking poison on purpose!”
I gingerly stood up, rubbing my back where it hit the dresser. “I didn’t mean to imply…”
“Shut up, Healer!” He laid a hand on Rebecca’s head. “Just ignore her. She’s just a burden our team carries around because we happened to know her before the Downfall.”
I closed my eyes at his words, trying to ignore both the physical and emotional pain.
______________________
“Why can’t you help us?!” Rebecca was sobbing, blinking her tear-filled eyes and staring at the man in front of their group. “Don’t you know we’re humanity’s only hope?”
“They’re our only hope?”Alton leaned in, whispering “We’re so doomed.”
Stephanie and I chuckled quietly in response.
The owner of the shop, Winter, stood silently in front of the Hero’s party. He was tall, although still shorter than Garrett the Giant. Somehow his demeanor made him seem to tower over the entire group. His white hair was cropped short, at odds with his younger appearing face, placing him in his late twenties. His eyes were a bright pale blue, his handsome feature marred only by a large scar tracing across his face, only barely missing his right eye. His face was expressionless, almost bored, unchanged by Rebecca’s tears.
“You seem to be having a bit of a misunderstanding.” Winter finally spoke up, his voice quiet and cold. “I never had a deal with YOU.”
“LIAR!” Jack screamed. “You’ve always…”
“I’ve had a deal with your healer.” He raised an eyebrow. “And she’s not with you anymore. So I have no reason to deal with you.”
“The Healer?” Rita laughed, her sharp features and gaze filled with a mocking light. “That useless baggage? Why would you care if she’s with us or not?”
“…” Winter stared at her silently, and seemingly pressured, Rita stepped back, hiding behind Garrett. “Foolish.”
“We’re foolish?” Jack asked, shaken but still angry. “You’re the one who is turning down the opportunity of a lifetime. Just because of some bit…”
SMACK!
Winter backhanded the Hero, sending him down to the floor with a calm expression.
“Close your foul mouth, or I’ll close it for you.”  He raised an eyebrow. “Any questions?”
Stephanie raised her hand. “Where do I sign up to be part of his fan club?” Alton raised his hand as well, nodding.
I couldn’t help but laugh. “You never change., Winter”
At my words, Winter turned towards me, his cold blank expression melting into a bright smile.
“Natalie! You’re here!”
“…”
“…”
“…”
Everyone in the room turned to stare at me. I shrunk back slightly. Alton spoke up first, frowning. “Natalie?”
I sighed. “My real name, or more accurately, my name before the Downfall. I don’t like using it anymore.” I don’t like the person who wore that name, nor the people who bestowed it upon me. “Healer is a much more accurate title.”
Alton smiled and shrugged. “Whatever makes you happy, Miss Healer.”
Winter’s smile faded a bit, and he walked forward, stepping on the Hero as he did so, ignoring his grunt of pain.
“Are you okay? I just heard about the price on your head. Did they hurt you?”
I shook my head. “I’m fine. You know that they couldn’t hurt me if they tried.”
“Anyone can get hurt if they get caught off guard, Nat.” He put a hand on my shoulder, staring into my eyes. “You should have left a long time ago. They didn’t deserve your loyalty.”
“Well, she’s got a new team now!” Alton stepped in excitedly.
“Yeah! We’re much better than those creeps!” Stephanie joined in. The two gave each other and me a thumbs up.
Winter stared at them for a while, before sighing. “I told you that you didn’t have to fight with anyone. Yet you still race towards danger at the side of these… people. What has humanity ever done for you?”
I ran a hand through my hair, letting out a soft sigh. “Not everyone is as terrible as you think.”
“That’s rich, considering what state you were in when we first met.” The disappointment in his eyes was clear. I flinched, trying not to think of the circumstances of our first meeting.
“That’s not…”
“STOP IGNORING ME!” Rebecca cried out, fire blazing at her fingertips as she glared at all of us. As we quieted down, she focused her gaze on Winter. “Why are you so obsessed with her? She’s a useless healer! We are the HERO’S PARTY!”
Winter stepped closer, and she shrank into Jack’s side, trying to get away, but froze when Winter’s gaze met hers. “You know nothing, poison witch. A Healer is a noble profession, only meant for the strongest of heart and mind. “
“Y-you…”
“Now get out of my store.” He pointed at the exit, and after a moment of silence, the hero’s party shuffled out. Jack paused at the doorway, looking at me with a serious expression. “My offer is still open. We will attack the forty second gate in 3 days. With or without you.”
And with that, he was gone, and all was quiet.
“What idiots.” Alton sat down on a nearby chair, frustrated. “They’re going to put all of humanity at risk.”
“No more than they deserve.” At Winter’s harsh tone, everyone turned to him again.
“You don’t like humans?” Alton asked.
“Any reason why I should?”
He pointed at me. “Miss Healer is a human.”
“The exception, not the rule.”
I shook my head at his solemn reply. “We came here for supplies. Can you help us?”
“Of course.” He agreed immediately, pulling out a large bag from behind the counter and handing it straight to me. “On the house.”
“You know I’ll never agree to that.” I dropped some custom potions and gold on the table. “You have to stay in business.”
Winter shook his head, but I insisted. “Take it or I go somewhere else for supplies.”
“…Fine.” After a long hesitation, he finally reached out and took the items, carefully arranging them on the shelf on the back wall.
“…” Stephanie and Alton stared silently at the exchange between us.
“I smell drama!” Stephanie whispered loudly.
Alton nodded silently, frowning.
“Speaking of which, PREPARE TO BE AMAZED!” Stephanie stepped forward, dropping the pelts onto the counter. “BEHOLD! I HAVE COMPLETED MY QUEST!”
Winter looked over the wolf furs, nodding silently. “This is what I asked for.” His tone was unimpressed. Stephanie grinned, not intimidated.
“So you’ll pay me this time?”
“This time?” I turned to her. “How many times has he scammed you with fake quests?”
“They aren’t fake!” She defended, clutching the bag of gold he handed her. “He just has high standards.”
“Did you count your payment?”
“… I was about to.” She opened the sac of gold and muttered to herself, before staring accusingly at Winter. “It’s only half!”
“Because you didn’t get the pelts.” He inclined his head towards me. “I know Nat’s work when I see it.”
“I helped, though! I lured them all the way to her!”
“And I bet she asked for half.”
“How did you know?!” She paused. “I was going to give it to her.”
I sighed. “Just pay her the whole amount. Your deal was for the pelts, it doesn’t matter how she got them. If I want the cash, I’ll get it from her.”
“…”
“Besides, she’s my teammate…”
Stephanie jumped in. “AND BEST FRIEND!”
“…In a way it’s paying me.”
“…” He sat a second bag of gold down, which Stephanie snatched up and counted with glee. Winter ignored her, looking at me.
“You’re really doing this again? Trusting humans?”
I shook my head. “I don’t trust anyone.”
“You trust too much… you just pretend like you don’t to comfort yourself.” He thought things over. “Where are you going next?”
Alton joined in. “We’re going to go hunting in the fortieth level forest. Try to get a feel for our fighting style.”
“What about your fourth party member? Your team is incomplete.”
“Maybe we’re just picky?” Alton offered.
Winter stared at us. Stephanie broke first. “Everyone’s too scared to work with Alton, and they think Healer is a burden.”
“…”
“We don’t though! We think she’s awesome.”
Winter finally smiled at that. “Alright then.” He began packing a bag. “I’ll join your team.”
“AWESOME!”
“Is that even possible?”
“You’ll what?!”
Stephanie, Alton and I spoke up at the same time. Winter continued to pack, undisturbed by our shouts.
“You need a fourth teammate, and Nat needs someone to watch her back. It’s a win-win. ”
Alton stared at him. “Why do you think she needs your help?”
Winter didn’t flinch. “She needs it. Needed it since the beginning.”
After studying him a long moment, the dark wizard turned towards me. “It’s your call. I trust your judgement with this.”
I rubbed my forehead, feeling tired. “Why don’t we do a trial before making anything official? Go fight together. See how it goes from there.”
“… You don’t trust me?” Winter asked quietly.
“You’d have to be their teammates as well, fighting to protect humanity. I don’t see why you are volunteering. You’ve never cared before.” Was my equally quiet answer.
After a long moment of consideration, he nodded in agreement. “…Fine. A test mission first.”
“Wait!” Stephanie chimed in. “Can NPCs even join human parties? Aren’t they the ones who give quests?”
Winter placed his packed bag on his back, grabbing a bow and some arrows. “My kind are not a part of the Rules. We follow them, just like you do.”
“So you’re like us?” Alton asked, curious.
“No.” His tone was flat. “I am nothing like you humans. But I can join your party.”
“Great! Let’s go on an adventure!” Stephanie ran towards the door, and shaking my head, I followed her.
“Should be interesting.”
____________________________
The fortieth-floor forest was filled with death. Black twisted trees, grey, dried out grass. Shadows from nothing, movements that didn’t make sense. I stood in place, feeling the constant overwhelming sensation of being watched.
Alton smiled, seeming right at home. “Alright guys, this place is chocked full of undead, perfect for a good fight. We just need to get a sense for how everyone else works, and how to help each other.”
“Sounds good!” Stephanie pulled out her enormous sword and grinned. “I’ll tank!”
“Great. I’ll provide crowd control and protection through magic.” He turned towards Winter, who seemed relaxed despite the evil forest around him. “What about you?”
Winter held up his bow. “I’ll pick off monsters from the back.”
“Great. That just leaves Miss Healer…” He turned towards me. “How would you like to fight?”
His question caught me by surprise. When I fought with the Hero’s party, I had often supported them secretly, standing afar, silently using my healing magic to add further injuries to my teammate’s attacks. It was difficult, making myself appear useless while protecting and attacking at the same time.
But now… I was able to openly and honestly take part with the team.
I smiled. “I want to be in the front.”
Stephanie cheered. “Besties tanks!”
“Sounds like we have a plan.” Alton grinned, looking every inch the evil wizard. “Let’s go.”
It didn’t take long before we ran into a large group of undead. Zombies, skeletons, shadowy creatures with claws and spikes, crawled out between the trees, their eyes glowing red with hunger.
“Kill!” A gravelly voice came out of the large skeleton, staring at me. I walked forward calmly, no weapons in my hands.
Undead didn’t have blood. Didn’t have beating hearts. They needed no oxygen, absorbing their energy from the living. Which limited my options. I would have to go for attacks that caused physical damage.
Stephanie ran forward with a loud cry, swinging her large sword and decapitating the first zombie in her field of vision. Alton chanted, his spells separating the zombies out in smaller groups, hindering their movement and slowing their attacks. I could hear the buzzing of arrows as Winter calmly shot down enemy after enemy.
It was my turn.
I held a scalpel in my hand, the cool metal somewhat comforting against my skin. A group of ten zombies shuffled towards me, trying to shake off the bonds of Alton’s magic.
Wordless incantation was still in cooldown. I would have to speak out loud to activate my spells. I stepped closer to the group
“Amputation.”
**The Healer has cast Amputation x 10. – 1000 MP. **
My magic reached out to each of the zombies, chopping off each of their right legs at the mid-thigh, slicing cleanly through rotting muscle and bone. The zombies groaned in confusion, falling to the ground. I watched them carefully, recognizing they were still dangerous despite their helpless appearance.
This is when Jack or the others would rush in to claim the kill… and then complain about the automatic XP share since my magic contributed to the fight. But now that I don’t have them… what now?
Amputation was a spell that could only be applied to limbs. Small and large incision could cut their throats, but not enough to decapitate them which was what was needed.
A brief feeling of hopelessness rose up within me. The despair that had filled my days as I fought in this strange world beside others who had ridiculed me and belittled me. I chose a worthless class, one that struggles to put down wounded zombies…
One of the zombies flipped onto its stomach, beginning to pull itself towards me, teeth bared. Simultaneously, a spell and an arrow hit its remaining leg, pinning it into place. Stephanie was still fighting her group of zombies, but seeing me hesitate shouted out: “Go get ‘em!”
They’re encouraging me. The stark contrast of this fight from my past team made me smile. I wanted to live up to the support of this strange new team. I thought of a plan, and I reached out my hand, focusing.
“Craniotomy.”
**The Healer has cast Craniotomy x 10. – 5,000 MP.**
The skulls cracked open, revealing rotting brains. I kept an eye on my numbers, even with my unusually large mana pool, I couldn’t keep spending so recklessly. I chose a smaller spell.
“Cauterization.”
**The Healer has cast Cauterization x 10. – 100MP.**
The tissue shriveled under the heat of the spell and the zombies grew completely still. As I stared down at the carnage, Stephanie killed her last zombie, prompting the end of the battle.
** Stephanie the Lovely Barbarian is credited with 8 zombie monster kills, awarded 600XP and +8 fame. Alton the Great Evil Wizard is credited for the assist and is awarded 200XP and +2 fame. You receive 8XP as a party member.
The Healer is credited with 10 zombie monster kills, awarded 800XP and +10 fame. Alton the Great Evil Wizard, and Winter the Shopkeeper are credited for the assist and awarded 100 XP and +1 fame each. **
“AWESOME!” Stephanie ran over and hugged me, ignoring my grimace as I realized how badly she smelled after close combat with rotting corpses. “We’re the best team ever! Did you see how fast we took out high level zombies?”
“Strong work everyone!” Alton seemed pleased, “A few more fights, and I think we could get a good rhythm going.”
“Here.” Winter held out a mana recovery potion to me. “Those were high level healer spells you cast today. You probably need this.”
After a brief hesitation I took it. “You recognize Healer spells?”
“Of course.” He spoke sincerely, adding. “It’s the greatest achievement one can have, to take such a path. I’m happy to help you.”
“…Thanks.” I drank the potion.
The Healer has used Potion of Mana Recovery, +800MP. 2 remaining in Inventory.
Stephanie stood in front of me, clasping her hands together with a pleading expression. “So… can we keep him? You said we could consider it after a trial!”
Alton and I exchanged glances. I still felt uneasy about having an “NPC” on our team. For all the time I had known Winter, I still did not understand his true motivations. Why was he in this world with us? Why join our team? And the real question that haunted me:
Why did he help me a year ago when he had no incentive to do so?
But the truth was, he was our best option.
I nodded to Alton, who immediately offered his hand to Winter.
“Welcome to the team.”
**Winter the Shopkeeper has accepted your invitation to join your party! He will have access to shared inventory, and his stats will become visible upon medical scan.**
The usual joining party message popped up, along with something unexpected:
** NOTICE - Due to status of new party member, special restrictions will apply to any stat or data sharing.**
Special restrictions? I shook my head. Not helping with my paranoia about trusting him on our team.
Stephanie cheered as I shook his hand after Alton. Finally, once things had calmed down, we all sat down to regroup.
“What next?” Stephanie asked, grabbing jerky from her pack.
I thought over her question. “The Hero’s party is going to attack the gate in 3 days. We should plan to be there.”
“Oh joy, them again.” Stephanie bit angrily into the jerky, as if hurting the people who annoyed her. "I can hardly contain my excitement."
“Fighting monsters, AND making sure the Hero’s party won’t stab us in the back at the same time?” Alton grinned. “Sounds like a party to me!"
I sighed, and grabbed my own food from my bag.
We had 3 days to get ready.

Levi before dating Y/N.
Erwin: Do you know Jennie?
Levi: No.
Erwin: Yeah, Jennie from the garrison. Long blond hair?
Levi: No.
Erwin: gosh Levi we talk to her about some papers yesterday!
Levi: Ahhhh ... I didn't even know her name was Jennie.
Levi dating Y/N:
Erwin: Do you remember John? From the MPs? He's been acting weird.
Levi: Yeah, the asshole was sleeping with Grace from the bar that's at the intersection of the streets "the kings pride and Sant Michel" at the third district of Stohess. She works there from 8am to 3pm as a waitress and apparently they saw her talking to his wife, because some nurses from the orthodox church of Mitras said that she went with a 3 weeks old pregnancy. Now his boss, Robert, is asking him to solve the issue because he's damaging the image of the team. His wife has papers and prof for divorce but that's a big fucking no no for the MPs.
Erwin:....
Levi: Y/N's friends have tea time at my office.
Erwin: That explains a lot.

@a-crookedtouch asked | ‘ i won’t ever forgive them, but i still want them to beg for it. ’
"Oh, they will. I'll be there to make sure of it." Colette smirked a little bit as she looks to the map, her mapping tools laid about all around her as she planned their journey forwards. "So...we kill him and then what? Do you go back and become a Magistrate again? Do you take up his estate and run it as your own?" The blonde half-elf snickered at the thought, her quill now marking all the areas they had explored already.
The Goblin Camp, the Grove, and even that Hag's hut. She marked it with a big red X and a frowny face before she brushes the feather in her opposite hand, wondering what path they should take next. "I think it would be funny if Szaar Estate was suddenly renamed and people left wondering." Another wicked grin, crimson orbs flickering across the mp with confidence. Dusting it with a bit of drying powder, the amnesiac would stand, her head tilting up to him as she pictures him sitting in a proper desk.
"I can see it. You deserve to be in a position of power like that after all these years." The map rolls quickly in her hand before it's tied and stowed in her backpack. "But first, we should try to figure out how to get to through the Cursed Lands like Halsin told us. And deal with this...Absolute bullshit." Pun intended. Stretching up with a bit of a hum, Colette would look to the rest of their tents in camp, hands rubbing together as she comes up with a plan.
"Underdark or Mountain Path? Both seem quite risky. What the the Githyanki on one and possible murderous creatures below. All in all, sounds like we're going to do some damage." She welcomed his opinion; one of the only ones, really. Great minds think alike and all.

31. "If we insist on not dating, why do we always cuddle after sex?" "Aftercare is a fundamental right."
Shit Bob would say after sex 🤣

The Fundamental Right | Floydsin

Tumblr media
synopsis: Bob isn't sure what they are doing, but he's pretty sure him and Jake are dating
warnings: mentions of gay sex, jacking off, unprotected sex
Tumblr media
Jake's loud grunts filled the air as he fucked himself into his fist. His orgasm was fast approaching as he watched Bob's back rise and fall rapidly, still trying to ground himself after his orgasm. Jake's toes curled as he felt the all too familiar feeling in his body. He closed his eyes and tipped his head back.
"Oh fuck, fuck, I'm cumming, I'm cumming," Jake panted out as his body convulsed and his warm seed painted Bob's lower back. Bob let out something that sounded between a hum and moan at the warmth now on his back. Jake leaned his hand against the headboard as he milked his orgasm, squeezing out every last drop of cum.
"Shit," Jake huffed, wiping sweat away from his forehead. He placed a hand on Bob's bare ass, tapping the skin, "That was so fucking good."
"Mhm," Bob nodded, "Can you get up now? I need to take a leak."
"Yeah," Jake agreed, "Lemme get you a towel real quick." Jake carefully crawled off of Bob's bed and shuffled his way to the bathroom. Jake cleaned himself up quickly, taking a quick piss before getting a warm washcloth and going back to Bob.
The two of them had been messing around for a couple months now, and they did little to keep it a secret. When Jake wanted Bob, he made sure that everyone knew it. Jake would walk up to Bob, put his arm around his waist, whisper something dirty in the WSO's ear, and place a soft kiss right below his ear before heading out to his supped up ford f-250.
But besides that affection that Jake showed when he was keyed up, the dagger squad started to notice the small changes in him. It took anyone with a pair of eyes to know that Bob had a crush on Jake. Anytime the blonde pilot would walk into a room, his blue eyes were searching for the other blonde pilot. Whenever Jake would open his mouth to speak, Bob took in every word like he was modern day Jesus Christ. Jake even went as far as inviting Bob as his plus one to his sister's wedding. Jake could tell if Bob wasn't have a good day by the way he would sit in his chair.
What really set everyone on the track that Jake was crushing on Bob just as hard as Bob was crushing on him, was when Bob had called out of work because he was sick.
Jake was worried sick because Bob hadn't shown up to first formation on time, and wasn't answering his phone. He nearly tore the hinges off of Maverick's office door trying to find out where Bob was and why he wasn't answering. Jake left base so fast, he was surprised the MPs weren't after him, and went to Bob's house, finding the WSO shivering under a pile of blankets. Jake basically nursed him back to health, using some types and tricks from his mom.
Bob pushed himself up on his elbows as the bed shifted under Jake's weight. The texan placed a small kiss on Bob's bare shoulder before cleaning up the mess he had made. Although Bob liked what they were doing, he was confused. He liked Jake and Jake liked him, but there was something holding Jake back from taking that step with him. Phoenix had warned Bob when he first started fooling around with Jake, to guard his heart. That things with the infamous Hangman never ended well.
"Jake?" Bob asked, looking over his shoulder.
"Hm?" Jake asked, looking at him.
"What are we doing?"
Jake scoffed, "Well I am cleaning my cum from your ass crack-"
"No, I mean not that," Bob blushed, "I mean this. . . us. . . Are we, are we dating?"
"No."
The quickness of Jake's answer made Bob's heart drop. Jake shuffled off the bed, and dropped the dirty washcloth into the hamper by the bathroom door. Bob sat up in bed and looked at Jake, who was pulling his boxers up his perfectly toned legs.
"Can you pee so we can cuddle?" Jake asked, running a hand through his hair. Bob shook his head, laughing slightly to himself. Jake furrowed his eyebrows, "What, Floyd?"
"I don't get you," Bob said, "One moment, you look like you are gonna strangle that guy at the bar who was talking-"
"Flirting," Jake rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Next, you're telling me we aren't together, but you and I both know that we aren't seeing other people. And now you want me to hurry up and piss so we can cuddle. If we insist on not dating, why do we always cuddle after sex?"
"Aftercare is a fundamental right, Robert," Jake deadpanned, "I am a good partner, a great partner even. Aftercare is a must. And cuddles are a part of aftercare.
Bob's jaw dropped as he stared at the pilot dumbfounded. Jake always had a way of rendering Bob speechless, and usually it was from the bed room talk in his ear, not from his stupid reasoning behind cuddles after sex.
"I don't-"
"Do not argue with the founding fathers, Robert," Jake pointed, "Now, do you want a UTI, or not?" Bob scoffed as he got off the bed, and walked to the bathroom, grumbling under his breath about how ridiculous Jake is being. Jake smirked and grabbed Bob by the hip, pulling him back against his chest.
"I am not going to ask you to be my boyfriend after I just screwed your brains out," Jake placed a kiss on Bob's neck, "Momma raised a gentleman. Now, go clean yourself and come back to me." Jake turned Bob's head to look up at him, flicking his eyes from his blue eyes to his lips, "You're cute when you're mad."
Bob opened his mouth to say something, but Jake placed a kiss on his lips and slapped his ass, sending him into the bathroom to clean himself off.

Allegiance: Part 1 | Levi x Reader
masterlist
Summary: You're a wealthy citizen from Stohess. When the survey corps are in the city, you can't help but fall for a cute captain.
Word Count: 2.7k
Author's Note: Song correlated: Cola by Lana Del Rey. Okay This is going to have to be multiple parts because it's already pretty long and I'm not even near the end. Posted: 4/25/24
You grew up in a large home never worrying about your next meal and you never cleaned anything yourself. Your parents had people employed to do so. Your family was one of many other families who could afford MPs to guard and escort your family. While growing up, MPs escorted you to school, shops, and friends' homes. You wore clothes that fit you right and were cleaned properly. There was food when you wanted and life was easy for you. Your family required you to attend Einrich College and you got a degree in chemistry. Though they did not care about having you employed they just wanted you to remain a person with higher education. They didn’t mind you living at home and they wanted you to marry a man with a similar background.
You were fortunate enough to be a free-spirited person. You didn’t worry about titans coming to Stohess because of how close to the center your family lived. Most of your time was spent reading, writing, shopping, and being with friends.
One day your father told you the survey corps was coming to the Military Police Head Quarters in Stohess. The family was going to going to be in attendance at the gala. You and your friends grew up thinking highly of the military and the survey corps. They were so brave and cool for going beyond the walls. However, your adoration for the survey corps depleted around the age of twelve. Your parents prohibited you from joining the cadet corp because they wanted you to attend Einrich College.
When you were at the gala you stood by your parents like you usually did. You were polite to everyone your parents introduced to and made small talk with each official your parents knew.
“I want to introduce you to my good old pal Erwin Smith.” Your dad said to your mother and then glanced at you. You followed your mother and father toward a small group of people who didn’t look social. A guy with dark hair caught your eye. He had one hand in his pocket and he sipped his tea cup then put it behind him on the table. He was kind of cute. He noticed you looking at him and you offered a soft smile. He didn’t return one. “Commander Erwin of the Survey Corp!” Your father greeted a blonde-haired older man. To your surprise, he hugged your dad.
“Warren L/N! Long time no see.” Your father and he both had warm smiles. It must have been nice for your father to see a friend from his past.
“Erwin this is my wife, Cordelia L/N.” Your father motioned towards your mother who respectfully held out a handshake.
“Commander Erwin Smith, nice to meet you.” She said sweetly.
“Please I’m just Erwin to you.” Then he looked at you next. All you could do was smile.
“Erwin this is my daughter, Y/N,” Your father said.
“Y/N, nice to meet you,” Erwin said to you and you stuck out your hand like how your mother did.
“Y/N graduated from Einrich College with a degree in chemistry.” Your father said and you felt slightly embarrassed because you hated when your parents explained you didn’t need a job. “She was fairly vested in becoming a scout when she was younger.” You looked at the man with black hair to see his reaction. He was just staring at you. His attractive gaze made it hard for you to look at him any longer than a second.
“I bet you would’ve been a wonderful scout, Y/N,” Erwin said encouragingly.
“Poor girl can’t even run for more than five minutes.” Your father joked.
“That’s not true, father.” You said trying to not sound annoyed in front of the attractive man.
“Chemistry though? You must be easily able to find a secure job.” Erwin suggested and you started feeling embarrassed.
“Oh, she’s smart, but she hasn’t worked a day in her life. Y/N doesn’t need to get a job.” Your mother said lightly but the shame felt heavy. You stayed quiet and couldn’t look at anyone in the eye.
“I’ve been interested in jobs. I just haven’t found anything that interests me.” You said.
“Well, section commander Hange Zoe—” Erwin motioned to the cute woman next to him. “—studies and experiments on captured titans.” Your parents greeted and shook her hand. She seemed fairly inviting and energetic.
“Yes, titans have interested me—” You noticed the man with the dark hair roll his eyes. “—ever since I kicked a head and it was super light! We haven’t done much biological research on the titans. However, any information we collect is one step closer to solving their mysteries!” She said enthusiastically.
“Wow, I didn’t think there was a branch of the survey corp that experimented on the titans.” You said. You could feel the obsession with the survey corp from your youth slightly return. Only if.
“Yup! Just me and my assistant Moblit! We captured many titans!” Hange said.
“Are you looking for another research assistant?” You asked, thinking it could be a great opportunity to be in the survey corps.
“Unfortunately, Hange’s research is only a small part of the survey corps. You would still need to graduate from the Cadet Corp to be Hange’s assistant.” Erwin said earnestly. You looked at your parents who didn’t let you join. Erwin seemed like he understood that you wanted to join if you had the choice.
“Well, I guess I could always join later right? There’s no age limit?”
“You’d most likely be with a bunch of twelve to fifteen-year-olds. Not something you would enjoy.” Your father said.
“But I’d only be with them for three years and then I could make friends with people my age.” You said.
“Captain Levi joined a little unconventionally.” Erwin motioned to the guy with dark hair. Captain Levi. So that’s his name.
“Nice to meet you, Captain Levi.” You said holding out your hand eager for him to touch you. He looked at your hand and then your eyes. Then he shook your hand. Your heartbeat increased a little. “You joined the cadet corps older than the average?”
“Again he joined the survey corp unconventionally. I recruited him because he excelled with the ODM gear by teaching himself.” Erwin said. You had to face the fact that you missed the age to join the survey corp. You realized deep down you wouldn’t enjoy being with twelve-year-olds like your father said.
“Wow, you taught yourself? That’s really impressive.” You said and looked into his eyes. You hoped he thought he found you pretty. “You are all a smart group of people. How long has it been since you last saw my dad, Commander Erwin?”
“Over maybe twenty years?” Erwin turned to your father.
“Huh, time flies.” Your father said.
“Could they come over for dinner, Father?” You asked hoping for more time to get to know the three. “It would give you more time to catch up? And I could get to know more about Hange’s experiments?” Hange’s face lit up and you looked at Levi who had the same expression on his face. “Maybe we could get to know each other more.” You eyed him up and down despite him not seeming to warm up to you. You wanted him to know you found him attractive.
“Why not?! Erwin are you and your officials available to come over and eat before leaving Stohess?” Your Father asked wholeheartedly.
“I think we’ll have time in two evenings,” Erwin said.
“We could have chicken—” Your mother started.
“Mother no! Let’s have braised beef.” You said.
During the rest of the gala, you couldn’t help yourself from glancing at the survey corps. A few times Levi and you locked eyes. You wanted to keep looking at him but remained focused on every one your parents introduced you to. Why did your father have to mention you barely being able to run? Sure you didn’t run much, but you could improve if you worked at it. Now Levi only knows that you have poor stamina. You needed to find a way to make a good impression on Levi. Perhaps a small gift would make him remember you? And you have a day to find one before the survey corp came over for dinner.
The following day, you begged your mom to disregard your intention to interrupt reading time. You wanted to go shopping in town to find something for Levi. When you told your mom about wanting to find a small gift for Levi she teased you. You instantly regretted it, however, she let you miss reading time to go into town. You asked her to promise you that she won’t tell Levi about the gift until you give it to him. Your mother had one condition about going into town. She told you that you had to have MPs escort you.
In your teen years, you’ve argued with your parents that there was no need for the Military Police to escort you. After graduating from Einrich College you were especially adamant about it. Most of the time it was a losing battle.
You combed your hair and made sure it lay nicely. You put on pearls and made sure your clothes looked nice. You put on a nice full-length dress that hasn’t been worn yet. The dress made your hair color look pretty and stand out.
When you were heading to leave you thought you could sneak out the front door without the MPs. Of course, they followed you and you rolled your eyes because your mother assigned two. One would have been enough. The two MPs with you have been the few employed with your family most of your life.
When walking through the shops with the MPs following you, nothing caught your eye for what Levi may like. It was a gamble because you didn’t know much about him. You wanted to find something small and something he could have with him at all times to remember you. You hoped Levi would like the gift and then start falling for you. Though he did not seem like the kind of guy your parents wanted you to marry. He was a high-ranking official for the survey corps though.
When walking out of a clothing shop you spotted Erwin across the street. He seemed to be alone, no Levi or Hange with him
“Commander Erwin!” You waved and then ran after him the MPs shouted at you not to run and they burst after you. “Hi, commander! Are you out shopping? Are you alone?” He seemed surprised to see you and he glanced at the MPs on either side of you.
“Hello Y/N. Nice day isn’t it?” He said politely.
“Yes! Is Levi here?” You asked. “And Hange?”
“They’re nearby. Possibly getting something in that shop over there,” Erwin pointed at a small cafe that you’ve been to many times.
“It’s so nice to see you! I’m excited for you to come over tomorrow. I’m just in town to buy a gift for Levi but DON’T TELL HIM!” You said excitedly.
“A gift?” Erwin furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yes! But please don’t tell him!” You said. He laughed at your youth.
“I won’t.”
“Thanks! I’m going to talk to him and Hange! See you tomorrow!” You waved and dashed off to the cafe along with the MPs being forced to chase after you.
“MISS L/N! STOP RUNNING!” They yelled. When you got to the cafe in the window you saw Levi and Hange inside. They were sitting at a table with a small plate of treats and cups of tea. Your heart raced. Levi looked so cute sitting there. You turned to the MPs you had known most of your life.
“Do I look okay?” You asked.
“Yes, Miss L/N. Please no more running.”
“I’m sorry,” You said. When you walked in the owner who had known you most of your life gave you a big smile when he spotted you.
“Miss L/N! Your usual?” He asked and you saw Levi and Hange looking at you. You waved at them and you grinned.
“Yes thank you!” You walked over to Levi and Hange. Hange looked excited to see you and Levi looked normal. “Hi Hange, hi Levi.”
“Y/N! What a coincidence!” Hange cheerfully said.
“Hi,” Levi said and sipped his tea. They both glanced at the MPs on either side of you.
“Are you drinking the black tea?” You asked. “This place has the best black tea! I’ve come here since I was a child.”
“Yes, it’s good,” Levi said.
“Wonderful!” You said. “I’m excited for you guys to come over for dinner! I know you’ll like the braised beef!”
“What are you doing in town?” Hanged asked.
“I’m out shopping!” Levi rolled his eyes and though you didn’t feel offended, you knew soon he would be grateful for the gift you’re going to find. “Hey, it’s rude to roll your eyes!” You shoved his shoulder playfully yet hard enough to catch him off guard. Hange laughed.
“She got you there, Levi.”
“Yeah Levi, good thing my parents didn’t let me in the cadet corp, I would beat you up.” You said hoping he would laugh. Hange did.
“Not bad for a spoiled brat like you.” He said with a smirk and wiped off his shoulder.
“Hey, I’m not a spoiled brat!” You shoved him a little harder.
“Miss L/N, he’s humanity's strongest soldier.” One of your MPs said chuckling.
“Yeah, well, that’s only because I’m not in the military regiment.” You and Hange laughed. “Are you guys enjoying Stohess? What do you think of the town?” You asked. The owner of the cafe brought over your usual: a chocolate pastry. “Thank you!” Then the kind owner brought over a chair for you to sit on.
“It’s a nice district, very clean,” Hange said. You looked to Levi and raised his eyebrows waiting for a response.
“Very clean is correct.” You found his voice fairly attractive.
“Wonderful! Stohess is one of the districts with great architecture too.” You said. You started splitting your chocolate pastry into three equal parts. “Here try this it’s delicious!” You offered to Hange and Levi.
“Thank you, Y/N,” Hange said and took a bite. She moaned. Levi took a bite too.
“It’s tasty, thank you,” Levi said.
“You liked that? I don’t think it’s hard to make. Maybe I can try to learn to make it for you.” You said with hope and Levi just stared at you. You smiled at him and noticed him looking up and down at you. Your heart skipped a beat because it seemed like he was checking you out. “I’m excited for you guys to come over tomorrow and I can get to know you both more! I’d love to hear more about your experiments with the titans!” Hange perked up.
“Yes, I am ready for any questions you have. Perhaps your knowledge in chemistry will provide some ideas on gathering more information about the titans?”
“Oh I’m not sure about that, but I’ll do my best.” You noticed the door of the cafe open and Erwin stepping in. Suddenly you felt a wave of embarrassment when he looked at you and then at Levi. “Okay, I should get back to my shopping! I’ll see you tomorrow night then?! Bye!”
“Bye Y/N!” Hange said. You rush off with your MPs following you.
“Bye Commander Erwin!” You rushed off not giving a chance for him to speak.
You spent the rest of the day looking for something for Levi. As the sun started going behind the wall it felt hopeless. Nothing seemed like something Levi would like. The MPs suggested making your way back home, but you kept bargaining for just one more store. While walking past a window display of a store, you realized you may have found your gift. It was a little unconventional, but maybe Levi will remember you even when he leaves Stohess. It was perfect he could always keep your gift with him and it was small. Levi will never forget you after you give him your gift.

“Not bad…” Chapter 1
(Links to: Prologue & Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5)
Your morning routine consists of waking up at 4:00am, laying in bed just staring at the wall for 30 minutes trying to wake up, contemplating your life and all the choices you’ve ever made that led you to here and now, then finally getting up to take a shower and getting yourself ready for work. By 6:00am, you finish zipping the back of your skirt up, giving yourself one last look in the mirror making sure your ponytail is perfectly slicked back and checking for any wrinkles you might’ve missed on your white blouse, before grabbing your Scouts jacket and brown leather work satchel as you walk out the door of your room.
You reach the hallway to the mess hall after going down a few flights of stairs, only to bump into Section Commander Hange. “Oh! Goodmorning Y/N! You’re looking lovely this morning as always! Are you off to have breakfast?” Hange chirps. You often wonder how she can be in such a cheerful mood every single morning. It’s been about 3 months now since you transferred to the Survey Corps, and you haven’t seen her in any other mood. Most of the Scouts are surprisingly alot friendlier than any of the MP’s you’ve ever worked with. This is gonna take a while to get used to, you thought to yourself. “Goodmorning Hange, yes I am. Would you care to join me?” You ask. “Great minds think alike! I heard they’re serving something called pancakes? It’s new. Apparently they’re kinda sweet!” She says as she hooks her right arm into your left one, practically dragging your short legs to your destination. You two have gotten quite close in the 3 months you’ve been here. As extroverted as she is, you don’t mind her company at all.
You and Hange find open seats next to a group of young familiar faces:
Armin: the smart blonde.
Eren: the kid who always throws rage fits, and is apparently a titan.
Mikasa: the chill, but can still kick your ass, girl.
Connie: nice kid but a little random sometimes.
Jean: you don’t see why everyone calls him “horse-face”, he’s actually quite handsome.
Bertoldt: the shy tall guy.
Reiner: the group's big brother. He reminds you of a giant teddy bear.
Krista: the group's sweet little sister.
Ymir: kinda like Mikasa, except the only difference is Mikasa actually has a filter.
And lastly, Sasha: Girl eats like it’s her last day on earth… which you don’t blame her for… being in this job field and all.
“Goodmorning Section Commander, Lt (Lieutenant)!” The whole table greets you both with sleepy smiles & a salute. You both nod & everyone sits back down.
“Hey Lt! You never updated us on what happened when you served Captain Levi tea on your first day!” Eren says. “Ohh righttt, totally forgot you pulled that.. a little daredevil aren’t ya Lt hah!” Reiner says with a smirk, nudging you with his elbow. They all look at you with wide eyes, waiting for your response. “Right, sorry! You guys have been so busy lately, I didn’t want to bother you all. I completely forgot about it. But umm.. it wasn’t what I was expecting. I thought you guys said he was an asshole? You guys made it seem like he was gonna throw a tea cup at me or something.” The group looks at each other confused. “So… he didn’t?…” Jean asks with one eyebrow raised. “…No?” You responded, raising an eyebrow back at him. “Well what did he say?!” Sasha exclaims, mouth full of pancake. “W-well at first nothing. He drank the tea and went on with his work. The next day, I brought his lunch to his office, and he offered me some tea that HE brewed. It was pretty good but I prefer my tea with a little bit of honey and- “ You were cut off by Krista, “HE WHAAAAAT!?” Jolting from her seat and slamming her hands on the table, excitement in her eyes. You jump a little in surprise, and a bit in confusion. “Maybe it’s cuz of your uniform. You got the whole sexy secretary look to ya.” Hange chimes in, wiggling her eyebrows. “M-my skirt?” You look down at your outfit. “Yes ma’am. And your shirt seems kinda tight. Or maybe you just have some nice melons on ya? The buttons look like they’re going to pop off any second. Must be nice.” Ymir winks, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. You look around the table, all the boys had deep red cheeks, trying not to make eye contact with you. Awkward. You pull your Scouts jacket a little tighter around your front, “O-oh well I- “ Again getting cut off by Krista, “You guys! He made her a cup of HIS tea. HIS tea!!!” They all burst into debate, trying to top the other about why the Captain didn’t react the way they thought he normally would, completely ignoring Krista. “I guess this is our queue to leave now, once you get these kids goin it’ll never end.” Hange whispers. It’s almost 7:00am anyway, time to bring Captain his morning tea.
“You finally decided to show up, eh.” Levi says while scribbling on a document. His voice as emotionless as ever, so you can’t really tell whether he’s being sarcastic or if he’s actually serious. You continue walking towards his desk, holding a tray with his favorite tea set. So much confusion this morning. This is the usual time you would come in, you thought. Now that you think about it, maybe the reason he hasn’t said anything mean to you so far is because you don’t question him or talk back? You do every thing he asks. You do it all perfectly and in a timely, organized matter. You don’t give him any problems, instead you take his problems off his shoulders. I mean you ARE his assistant after all, you’re just doing your job. You decide to test the waters, “what ever do you mean, this is the usual time I always come in, sir” you say sarcastically with a tiny hint of attitude, not wanting to take it too far… yet. You look at him with a smirk. Already regretting it. Setting down the tray on his desk in front of him, handing him a cup. You pour tea in it, waiting for his response. He’s quiet for a minute, just two steel gray eyes glaring into your soul. Ah crap here it comes. You’re face-palming yourself over and over in your head. You turn your back to him, moving the tea tray to the mid-sized coffee table that’s placed in the middle of his office, squeezing your eyes shut. He sighs, “guess I lost track of the time again.” You open your eyes, again confused. You turn to look at him, “sir?” He rubs his temples, “I haven’t slept” he admits. You see it now, the dark circles around his eyes. You hear it in his voice. “Would you like to take a nap sir? I can handle the paperwork” you offer, feeling slightly guilty for trying to challenge his tired self a few seconds ago. “No I’ll be fi-“ he starts, but you cut him off, “it’s really not a problem sir, I’m happy to do it for you! As long as you get some rest, I’m happy to take the load. That’s what you have me for.” He looks at you with his usual stoic expression but to your surprise, he doesn’t put up a fight, “fine.” He accepts defeat. “Make sure these all get to Erwin’s office by noon. I’m counting on you.” He says as he makes his way to his connected bedroom. “Yes sir of course.” You say, taking a seat in his chair. Your morning mission has begun.
A couple hours later, you’ve finished all the paperwork that Captain Levi left to you and had already sent them all to Commander Erwin’s office. Your stomach grumbles just in time for lunch. As you start walking towards the door to leave Levi’s office, you were stopped dead in your tracks. Bumping into a hard surface, you look up to see a rested, but still not rested enough, Captain Levi coming out of his room. “Sorry Captain, I wasn't expecting you to be up just yet. Did the few hours of sleep help?” You ask, slight concern in your voice. “I’m fine. Did you finish?” He asks, looking over at his now empty desk. “Yes sir, I actually just got back from dropping them off. I’m about to go get some lunch now. Do you want me to bring you anything?” You offer. “It’s fine. I’ll go with you. Maybe you can show me how you prepare our tea.” He says, following behind you out of his office. Our tea?
You both walk into the mess hall and go to stand in line. Levi puts one hand on your lower back and sticks out his other hand, gesturing ‘ladies first’. Yeah, I definitely don’t understand what those kids were talking about. Him? Cold? He seems perfectly normal to me. A bit stern and serious, but that’s with all military officers… except for Hange. “Did you see that?” You hear from somewhere in the crowd of faces. Instead of turning around to face them, you look up at Levi who’s already looking at you. You wonder if he heard the same thing. “Something the matter Y/N?” He asks. You shudder, no one but Hange has called you by your first name in years. Caught off guard, you avert your gaze somewhere straight ahead, “no sir”. You can feel your cheeks getting hot. You can still feel his eyes on you. You didn’t think he even knew your name, or even cared to remember it for that matter. It’s not like you were out on the field risking your life, you were in the safety of his office. And so you thought, because of that, he always just called you Lt. So why are you blushing? All he said was your damn name!
You both make your way to an unoccupied table, Levi still following close behind you. “Here, I got you one of those Snickerdoodle cookies or whatever. They’re your favorite right.” He says, more of a statement than a question. He sits down across from you, placing the cookie on your plate. You were so distracted that you walked right past the dessert table. “Oh thank you Captain! But you didn’t have to- “ He cuts you off, people seem to do that to you alot, “you can drop the formalities while we’re not working. And it’s nothing, I just figured they’d run out of them quickly and you wouldn’t get to have any, is all.” He says. You smile as you both dig into your lunch. Wait, how does he know those are your favorite?
Levi wasn’t too thrilled the day he found out Commander Erwin had assigned him a new assistant/Lieutenant without his knowledge. Just another idiot to worry about. But the second you walked into his office that morning, bringing him the most delicious cup of tea he’s ever had with such an innocent smile on your face, something in him shifted right then and there. Two things he loved: a perfectly brewed cup of tea… and sunshine. The day he came up from the Underground and felt the warmth of the sun on his skin for the very first time.. oh man, he felt like he was living it all over again. “..not bad, brat..” complimenting the tea… and secretly Erwin. Is this what they call “love at first sight” ?
“You can add some honey or lemon for extra sweetness and flavor. It also helps when you’re sick as well!” You say excitedly, getting carried away with your tea tutorial, bouncing all over the kitchen. You finished all the paperwork this morning, so after lunch you and Levi went to the now empty Officers lounge to use the mini kitchen. He has you all to himself. You haven’t looked up at him once since you’ve started, it’s the perfect chance for him to finally get to examine you, memorize your features, watch how you move, see your different facial expressions, listen to your voice, hear your laugh, learn your body language… if she could just jump up one more time… maybe the buttons on her shirt will actually pop off… he dozes off. “Captain?” You snap him back to reality. What the hell is wrong with me?! He thought to himself. “I’ve lost you haven’t I?” You ask, while actually face-palming yourself for real this time. “I’m listening brat, go on.” He urges, waving his hand. You roll your eyes as you continue your lecture. Normally if anyone else did that, he’d be making them run laps around the Scouts compound until sundown. But it kind of… looked good coming from you. The corner of his mouth slightly twitched. When he snaps back to his senses, he realizes you’ve stopped talking a long time ago and is now replicating the way he has his chin resting in the palm of his hand, staring back at him. Shit, her face is so close. “Your tea is gonna get cold Levi” you warn him, looking down at the cup you placed in front of him, then moving your eyes slowly back up looking into his gray orbs once again. Damnit! Now he’s the one mentally face-palming himself. “I-I know, I’m just waiting for it to cool down a bit more. Quit nagging me.” He says, lying through his teeth, but you didn’t need to know that. Finally he takes a sip, “you added some lemon innit this time you say?” You watch as he licks his bottom lip. Sighhh, those beautiful lips…
“Not bad, Y/N.”
